Great place for running or cycling or just a walk. Restrooms, water fountain and shelter is available. Trail is shady and picturesque. Cool water is available nearby when passing the fire department which I thought was awesome!

Beautiful lake! Lots of water acreage.Never seems crowded. Lots of parking. Shaded areas. Clean parking and boat ramps. We meet our friends at the New Galena boat launch.Modern restrooms but sometimes they need attention.

... place with a boardwalk that goes about 1500 feet into Hoover Reservoir. Great views of the water and of migrating birds. Ill definitely come back in the fall when they lower the water level to provide a better habitat for the migrations.
