They were the most reasonably priced service, the representative matched another quote and made it super easy to schedule. Aaron & Chad kept in contact with me on the day of the move and Brian & Howard were the dream team of movers! The two of them packed up my entire house within 3 hours (even taking apart furniture that was too big to move, and wrapping everything with care)!
We recently had a big in-town move. Moving is already stressful as it is, and the three moving men significantly eased the whole process. Brian, Ernie, and Derek went above and beyond with their kindness and professionalism. It was obvious that they loved their jobs, cared about the work they were doing, and put a lot of pride into doing their jobs well. They were thoughtful, careful, and communicative. They asked us a lot of questions to make sure they were going about things the right away and even put our bed back together (which we didnt ask them to do). They came on time and worked hard throughout the entire process. We are so grateful that we used Zippy Shell.My husband is a realtor who actually recommended Zippy Shell to different clients before using them himself. He felt super validated for recommending them after his own personal experience. As an aside, we have a baby. Fantastic experience from start to finish!. We had the best crew...Brian, Ernest and Derrick were prompt, efficient and very polite. They worked really well together and were very considerate to me and to each other while packing and loading my pods. When making a life changing decision to move it’s difficult. Trying to choose a company you trust with your belongings is even harder. Sometimes the plans don’t go exactly as expected. Our shell was scheduled for pick up on May 25th. I didn’t think far enough ahead to realize it was Memorial Day. Well, in the morning we were waiting for the shell to be dropped off. After several calls into the customer service line, I received a personal phone call from the owner, Aaron. He explained that a situation had come up & wouldn’t be able to come as scheduled that day. He made a promise to make us his first pick up the next morning and included professional movers to help load up the shell. The next morning came very quickly and before my feet were out of my bed, I received a call that the movers were on their way. Aaron kept his promise and made us the priority! The movers were very friendly and worked at a quick pace. I just want to say that I appreciate the fantastic customer service provided by Aaron at this location and all the follow up thru the final delivery. Five stars!!

I waited a LONG time for my furniture to be shipped from Las Vegas to Cleveland, a bit too long which made me doubt my choice in selecting Zippy for my cross-country move! However, once it FINALLY arrived in Cleveland and was under the care and direction of Aaron, everything went very smoothly and satisfactory. Our movers BRIAN and DEREK arrived exactly on time, worked very hard and carefully to get all of my furniture into my condo, placing everything exactly where I wanted it. They skillfully put my bed together as well as my dining table. Afterwards they kindly drove to my daughters to deliver and set-up an extra bed I wanted her to have since she had recently experienced flooding from tenants living above her.It was a Happy Moving Day for all! 😎

Yesterday (01/18/20) we had Zippy Shell Cleveland move us from our apartment on a third floor to our new house. Aaron Bankhursts team came and did a very good job moving. Moving furniture from third floor is not easy. But they did the job perfectly. Even though it was snowing and conditions were a little bit slipery, they continued to do their job with no complains. Not only they do their job professionally, they also appear to be happy and enjoy to be doing what they do. They were friendly, personable and kind. We couldnt have picked a better company to move us. I highly recomend anyone who wishes to move to utilize the services of Zippy Shell Cleveland.
Ernest and Brian (not sure on spelling) were great today. They called ahead to get an idea of what we would be packing and they helped me prioritize what would be able to fit in a single shell. They did a great job avoiding damaging the furniture and the walls, and everything was well packed and padded.
I would highly recommend Zippy Shell movers. Gene & Marcus were careful, quick, & efficient in completing my move. They wrapped many of my items to protect them during transit, so everything, including my leather couches arrived in intact. Aaron, the owner, stopped by several times to make sure the job was going well. All in all, they were the best movers I have ever had & would recommend them. Zippy Shell was great for our move. When competitors were booked up and unable to help Zippy Shell was able to squeeze us in. Aaron was very personable and flexible with us and Ernesto, the man who dropped off the trailer with our shell inside was super helpful and friendly. I would recommend this service to anyone looking for an affordable way to move. They even offer 1 free month of storage. Seriously cant beat it.
On one of the hottest days of the summer, Zippy Shell, far exceeded our expectations. Not only were they courteous and professional, but they maintained a quick speed that resulted in efficiency that far surpasses any moving experience I have ever had. The crew was constantly moving (even with the 90 degree heat), but took care to make sure that our things were packed with care, that we didnt need to lift a finger, and that they were cognizant of the new paint in our new home. Zippy Shell comes highly recommended by my family and we will definitely use them again.
Contacted Zippy Shell through Thumbtack and Aaron was great the minute we started talking about the moving project. He was upfront about rates and broke down what the expectations were thoroughly. He even offered an onsite visit to confirm the efforts needed. We ended up going with the recommendation of 2 trucks and 4 men, and it was everything we needed on the day of the move. Bryan showed up as the lead gentlemen of the moving crew and they were true professionals during the whole process. If any issue arose, such as an appliance not fitting through a door, the team would stop everything and thoroughly explain it to you. Great service all around and would definitely use Zippy Shell again.

They took complete and full precautions. I have lived in different parts of the US... and have finally found a moving company that I trust!
We experienced a flood in our office building and needed all the desks/workspaces packed up and moved quickly so the carpeting could be torn out and new carpet installed. With very short notice, Zippy was able to provide us with three professional movers to come in, pack everything up, and store it in an offsite container until we are ready to move back in. The owner, Aaron, was great to work with and the movers were terrific. I would definitely recommend!
Zippy Shell is #1! The truck arrived on time with two exceptionally hard workers. They were pleasant, respectful and efficient and had great attitudes. Fast, friendly, and affordable! No one likes to move but I could not have asked for a better experience! The entire team was friendly from the time I booked it, to when they arrived, and finished the job! They were right on time and called with an estimated arrival when on their way. Absolutely wonderful moving company. When a different company fell through last minute, Zippy Shell was available almost immediately and was cheaper! They obviously care about their clients based upon how communicative and flexible they were before, during, and after the move. The estimate I got before hand was just about exactly right, too. The guys that did the actual move were totally professional and efficient, even with packing up fragile ware from the kitchen. Nothing was damaged, nothing was missing. The manager kept in communication during the entire process to ensure I was satisfied.So, in summary: affordable, flexible, caring. Would hire again for sure.
Moving is usually a pain in the you know what but with Zippy Shell it was actually quite the opposite. I cant get over how professional and incredible Aaron and his team was. From picking up our boxes and moving them to storage to delivering them to our new place it was a moving experience Ive never had before. Aaron was readily available for any questions or concerns I had (which were a lot!) and I would use them again no question if/when I move again. Zippy Shell exceeded my expectations! I lived in Chicago for 10 years and recently decided to move back to Cleveland. I was so overwhelmed by the idea of moving but once I contacted the owner Aaron Bankhurst, he put my worries to ease. He was personable, honest and helpful when I called. He took the time to answer all of my questions in detail while other moving and storage services rush through their policies. His movers were very professional and punctual when they arrived. When my items were delivered from storage into my home 3 months later, Zippy Shell kept them all safe and secure and nothing was damaged or lost! These guys are phenomenal, with you every step of the way! I was in a bind when another moving company cancelled on my wife and I at the very last minute. Called and got in touch with Aaron and he took care of us from start to finish. The movers that were sent are the real deal, they had our stuff packed and moved without damage and were very cautious when it came to handling my property. I only gave 5 stars because there was not an option to give more! 5/5 would highly recommend and will definitely be using this company again!

I had the greatest crew anyone could ever want to make moving which is horrible any time any way, James, Matt and Steve made it look very effortless and quick. Everything was packed with care. All items big or small were professionally wrapped and taped to survive in storage. I cannot tell you what a relief it was to see gentlemen take pride in their work. We had never used movers before. We had a pretty decent experience. We spoke to Aaron, the owner quite a few times. He just wanted to make sure everything was set up okay and the movers did a good job. He was very honest and fair. The moving men were nice guys, respectful of our home and belongings for the most part. I feel like they could have been a LITTLE more careful with boxes and belongings. I am pretty sure they didnt pay attention to writing on boxes that said fragile. They werent careless, just trying to work fast and efficient. We only had a few nicks and dings to fix which is pretty good considering some of our corners and turns are tight. We are in storage for a few months while our other house gets finished and they were able to fit it all into storage for us efficiently. Unpacking that will be an interesting day though. Its packed tight. We also plan on using them again when we move into our new home from temporary housing. :) I will update in 5 months when we unpack to see what the status of everything is and how it made it through!Edit: A lot of our belongings had dings, chips and didnt sit correctly after we moved. Anything that was made out of particle board was destroyed (doesnt sit straight, doors dont close, chunks missing, etc.) I suggest wrapping EVERYTHING in plastic and blankets 1) to avoid damage but also not to loose any small parts that may fall off). The movers were really good, I really like them a lot but we didnt escape with chips, dings and damage to boxed items.

Zippy Shell is efficient and effortless, Aaron personally delivered my storage shell right to my drive-way and even provided moving assistance to professionally load my shell up. After loading was complete, the storage shell was picked up and delivered to his storage facility. I didnt have to leave my house. Extremely professional and courteous, I highly recommend using Zippy Shell.
Zippy Shell was great. We needed to move some things offsite for a few months during a house project. Scheduling the delivery of the shell was easy and the shell was clean. There were clear instructions inside the cage on how to stack things. The driver during delivery and pickup was friendly. Several times during the storage period we needed to get back into the shell to retrieve things and Aaron was very accommodating with our schedules. I highly recommend Zippy Shell to anyone needing portable offsite storage.
Aaron called me back within 20 minutes (still waiting weeks later for call backs) and was able to help us out immediately in a pinch. Most companies I called would not even make the effort to fit us in. Our corporate offices flooded and we needed to pack and move stuff out with barely a days notice. He had movers and a storage container there first thing in the am and they got it done. Reasonably priced - not the highest - not the lowest but considering I called 8 different companies Aaron was the nicest and made it happen. Would use them again for sure!

The moving experience with Zippy Storage and the movers was absolutely wonderful. My movers: Derek, Brian and I forgot the other young mans name {sad face} was terrific. I told them what I need and they went overboard. I had so much stuff but they packed it beautifullyand got everything there neatly. The were professional in everything they did and it just made me sooo…… emotional when they were done. Zippy Storage some great guys and should hang on to them at any costs. We were moving from Cleveland to New Hampshire and had a few parts to our move, all of which Aaron handled professionally and on a timely basis. Boxes and furniture were moved to two locations locally; and furniture and boxes were loaded in one of the zippy crates and moved to New Hampshire. The movers on both ends were professional, quick and efficient. Aaron listened to what we wanted and found a solution to handle the move from beginning to end. No micromanaging was needed during the move, except to let the movers in NH know where to place the items. It also helped that we were organized when packing and had marked all boxes. I highly recommend Aaron and his team. Moving can be stressful, and because of Aarons knowledge and professionalism, the move went smooth. Thank you for a job well done!

I did my research, or so I thought. Zippy Shell was great up until they took possession of their our container. We moved from the Washington, DC area to Columbus Ohio. They picked up our container on October 26. Zippy Shell as of yet, November 9, to ship our container; delivery date should have been no later than 2 November. I have called on several occasions and am ALWAYS told they are waiting on a driver. This is unacceptable as we are having to go buy items to live off of that are in our container! I am not given any other answer nor a plan on getting our container in Columbus! I WANT MY STUFF BACK. I would never use this company! I would give 0 stars if I could.
Just wrapped up an unload as part of an interstate relocation from TX to OH, and I was extremely happy with the service from the ZS Solon crew. They were considerate, personable, and a pleasure to work with, and Zippy Shell as a whole were very accommodating for last minute scheduling and delivery on a Sunday AM. Will definitely have Zippy Shell at the top of my list for any future moves. Way to go, guys!
I am blown away by the service Aaron at Zippy Shell provides. He was so nice and knowledgeable. I am not very patient and he sent me a free quote right away and walked me through the process and patiently answered all of my questions (I had a lot). This was my first time using storage and he made it so easy and stress free. I have told all of my friends to use him and I am very picky and only refer people when they are wonderful and Aaron with Zippy Shell was WONDERFUL.

The movers were extremely professional and efficient. They helped us move out of the 22nd floor of an apartment building in downtown Cleveland, which added an extra level of difficulty. Nevertheless, they moved all our furniture in under three hours with no issues. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any person looking to move.

We used Zippy Shell to move us from Ohio to California, overall it was a fantastic experience working with the team members with the exception of 2. The first was a lady who I spoke to on the phone once we were ready to schedule the drop off, she was fine just abrupt. The 2nd was the gentleman who called to confirm our drop off and he was obnoxious.I dealt with William Brown out of Florida at the start of our move and he was perfect! I called and emailed numerous times and he was always patient and ready to help. I also worked with Aaron out of the Cleveland area, he was in charge of drop off of the shell and pick up. Again, another fine team member. He went above and beyond for us with the lock for the shell and just being there to answer any last minute questions. When the shell was dropped off I remembered I needed the combination to the lock and I knew Aaron had sent it to me but could not find it right away, I called and got his voicemail explaining what I needed. Within minutes Aaron called me back with the combination ready. I did find it before he called.We did have an unexpected charge but in hindsight was our fault, we gave a destination location but should have updated it before we moved. (It changed)We did pay extra to have 2 guys unload the shell for us, my husband was traveling for work. The 2 men they sent were AWESOME! They were so kind and worked hard, never once complaining or making me feel bad for all that was jam packed into our shell. The extra cost to have that help was well worth it!
My move went very smoothly and the movers were able to complete the move in just over three hours. They wrapped all of my furniture and made sure everything made it over in the same condition it was when it left my old place. My movers were friendly and checked in with me regularly as they were unloading the truck to make sure my belongings went to the correct room.
Unfortunately cant recommend, very disappointed. First they were late, went to wrong location. Driver blamed Aaron for wrong location. Also truck wasnt empty, had someones refrigerator and boxes in it. Why, when I paid for that truck? So they crammed my items in so all would fit. Unloading it they damaged some drywall, accidents will happen, but then found several damaged pieces with loads of scratches, marks, and dents. They poorly handled my expensive new furniture. Even though I asked them not too, they obviously slid the furniture as scratches were completely across my nightstand, desk, etc. I even provided packing blankets that werent used to prevent this. Just cant believe.
We had some hang-ups with delivery of the shells but Aaron was extremely professional and did his best to keep us informed and get the problems solved efficiently. The men he sent to help us unload our things were careful, kind, considerate, and respectful. Overall a great experience!

Worst service EVER. They don’t answer the phone, they don’t drop off the storage container at the time you ask them, the container is very small looks like a lion’s cage, they cost me more money than expected because of their tardiness I had to pay movers to basically sit there until they dropped off the container and had to change my moving day because no one answers the phone. A lot of my glass stuff was broken not from moving because I put them in there but from them picking up the container any kind of way smh. Then I was charged for an additional month of storage I didn’t need because they don’t pay attention. Overall a horrible experience and if I could give them no stars I would. Do yourself a favor and go with someone different.
Darrell, Ernest and Derrick were great. They were careful to pack things up properly. They were patient when moving items back in. Careful not to hit doorways or moldings or the furniture. The whole process went smoothly and quickly.

Never showed up on scheduled day. Eventually heard from them and were told they wont be coming until next day. Completely screwed up our moving schedule and added a ton of stress to an already stressful time. The actual moving crew was friendly and hustled and took care with our belongings.*Edit* just saw that the crew FOLDED our king size mattress in half and completely broke it.

I was very dissatisfied with the Facility, I was told that my Pod would be wrapped up in plastic and stored in a temperature controlled warehouse. My Pod was Not securely Wrapped and my belongings were covered in rat feces. The Corporate office and the Staff was very nice. Will not use again

2022-06-24I would just like to say a big thank you to the zippy shell movers. The team supervisor Brian, Howard, Tesse and Ernest are all very professional, helpful, polite and hard working gentlemen. I had two moving containers and they came by my new home twice, on two separate days to drop them and they really did a great job! Both times with a friendly demeanor and strong work ethic. They worked hard and asked me where I wanted everything and did an excellent job with zero complaints. They are nice guys too and a pleasure to talk with. I’m not sure how zippy shell got these four together, but they did and they are a great team! Best movers I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I just had to show them some recognition. Well deserved guys. Believe that. A++++

2022-01-18Broke my sandstone slab while moving a gun safe and did this. Tried to be reasonable with them but Aaron just never got back to me. They also dented my hot water tank and busted up the corner of a wall. Don’t recommend.

2022-06-09I had a few glitches, however, the owner was responsive and did his best to make up for it. I had four movers come and load up the pod, Brian, the lead was great. Ernest, Howard and Tesse rounded out the team of movers. They worked quickly and got the job done quickly. Thanks guys and Zippy Shell for making a stressful situation better.

2022-07-31Brian and Earnie did a FANTASTIC job unloading our pod. The gentleman who coordinated our times and move from the Cleveland office was top notch. Very easy to work with and got the time scheduled promptly. I would recommend.

2022-07-02Absolute scam. Started the process with the estimate that we may only need 1, maybe 2 at most. The estimate was woefully poorly done, and drastically underestimated space, leading us to potentially needing a third shell.ON THE DAY the first shell arrived, we were informed our second shell would not be coming for 4 more days. No notice, just sorry - youre out of luck. For a >$4k cost, we received only $200 in compensation and it has drastically effected our moving schedule. Theres in fact no guarantee that even the second shell will be big enough for our remaining items, and we could have easily rented 6 U-hauls for the same price.Avoid at all costs.

2022-05-01This has been the worst experience I could of imagined. There is utterly zero communication within this organization, I had to give 6-8 different people my whole history and contact info every time I called them because they don’t communicate with each other. They will NOT call you, text you, email you ever!!! You have to constantly call them for information on your belongings. Awful business sense and poor communication throughout. Never again.

2020-06-28Zippy Shell Moving was the Best moving company. The movers were very professional. They were very quick getting the truck loaded and unloaded. They even put my bed and dining room table together. They placed everything just where I wanted it. Aaron the President/CEO was also great. I would recommend this company to anyone that is looking to move and need movers. The cost was very responsible.

2020-07-28Brian and Derek are awesome. They took great care while moving us across town and were a blast to have around. Moving is stressful, there is no doubt about it, but Brian and Derek did the heavy lifting for us and felt like family helping us out because they were so personable and friendly. I really cannot recommend them enough. I see other comments about Ernie, he had the day off that day but I am sure he is just as professional.If you are even considering hiring movers, call Aaron and Dan. They really have a great crew and you will be happy you chose them. You have enough to worry about with your move.

2021-04-02HIRE THIS TEAM! Brian, Ernie, Howard, and Damon were excellent! The communication from owner Aaron was perfect. They were here on time, and in 4 hours had everything out of our 3,000 sq ft house with outdoor shed! Worked their butts off. Friendly the whole time. Took care to not bang walls, wrapped all furniture and TVs. Have storage options if you haven’t immediately found your house like us. Appreciate these guys!
