RENTER BEWARE of the Young’s Building on Co. Rd. 18 Bellefontaine Oh!!! Please let it be told that Jennifer St. John And Jamie Young are HORRIBLE to work with. We visited this venue and had a great experience that led us to pay a non refundable $300.00 deposit. We signed our contract that stated that the balance was due 30 days prior to the event. LaRanda Pickering met with Jennifer to go over her table decor (that we was led to believe would be included in the price or could be rented at a small cost) after 2 hours Jennifer had Laranda in tears and made her feel like poor white trash!! This was all because we hadn’t paid the balance in full which isn’t due yet (30 days prior to event it needs paid) and because we wasn’t having catered food, and didn’t want chair covers, and didn’t want to pay $40 per centerpiece(rental), she completely flipped out and started to make fun of the wedding plans!! The contract was completely changed and revised and we were expected to sign a NEW one, although we had a contract previously signed. Jennifer made us feel horrible at a time that is supposed to be exciting and enjoyable. We were belittled, harassed, talked down to, and made to feel that we were trying to have a wedding beyond our means, at her venue. She was so worried we were going to back out of the contract and now we understand why she had so many reservations as I’m sure many people have backed out if they had similar experiences with her. Thank God we never paid her in full, or we would have forfeited 50% of the rental price! Please also note that your prices are based according to your event and not the fact that you’re just renting the building. PLEASE do not let Jennifer St John and Jamie Young get a $300.00 bonus from your wedding budget, or have her call you a ‘poor pauper’noun: pauper; plural noun: paupersa very poor person.he died a paupersynonyms:poor person, indigent, bankrupt, insolvent; Morebeggar, mendicant, down-and-out;a recipient of government relief or public charity.
Thats funny cause u didnt seem to mind that I was having an unpleasant experience when I was in front of your face your business is terrible and your people skills are worse yet I will make sure to tell everyone not to book with you and I will not be getting in contact with you Im over all the BS that is involved with renting from you

2021-05-12What a beautiful venue to have our private schools prom in. Jennifer and Jamie were the most delightful people to work with. Jennifer was so wonderful, she added touches to the decorations that we used and really made our event something special. They were quick to assist us in any way we needed. Extremely quick to get responses back to all the questions I had. She was very helpful in helping me put my decor ideas into action. Thank you Jennifer and Jamie for all your help to make our prom a success!

2020-08-22This was the perfect place to have my sisters bridal shower! They were in contact multiple times to ensure everything was perfect and to have the venue match our theme. Everything was beautifully done. There was plenty of space, and everything was already set up for us to decorate when we arrived. Thank you so much for going above and beyond for us!

2021-11-09The hall is nicely located and beautifully decorated. There is plenty of parking for guests. The location is very clean and inviting. I have had several different types of events here and all turned out fantastic.

2019-03-05We had my In-Law’s wedding reception at Young’s. It was beautiful and they were great to work with! They were up front and willing to help with any decoration they could. Instead of buying things we would have had sitting around for years they offered ideas and things to rent from their inventory. They were also happy to help with setup and tear down. I will definitely use their building again!

2019-02-20Jennifer St John treated my friends like trash after they put a deposit down for a wedding. Then she wanted to charge for everything and anything never mentioned before. After we started posting about thus, several peopke posted about theur horrible experience with her and Jamie Young. Be warned or it will cost you a lot more than you think. She even likes to appear at celebrations, uninvited, and eat and drink!!!!! They are late cleaning, so you get shorted hours you paid for, too. Horrible venue. Wish I could give minus 5 stars.
