Spent many weekends here as a kid, teen, and now as an adult - and each time has been thoroughly enjoyable. A true gem in central Ohio, Camp Willson is an awesome environment for experiential learning, teambuilding and leadership development. The high ropes are a personal favorite of mine, nestled along some beautifully scenic trails.Having recently taken a group of teens for a retreat weekend, I can honestly say the conference center and cabins were accommodating and served our needs. Staff were easy to work with and quick to assist.Overall, this is a great facility that has provided many great friendships and family memories. You will be happy to have visited.
Oh gosh, Im a camper at camp wilson, for.. 6 years now? And I have always done the horse riding camps. I have to say, the horseback riding director, Danielle, is THE best at what she does. I will never stop holding this camp in my heart. Camp Wilson has a special place in my heart. I recently joined the Raggers! Plus, last year I got my 5th year plauqe! Woohoo! CAMP WILSON ROOLZ!Edit: just finished up my 8th year, needless to say nothing of my opinion has changed with the place. It will forever be my second home and my second family.
Bed Bugs and more bed bugs. This camp is infested with them. They say that they dont have them any more but they are lying. They said that they are heating everyones stuff when they come in but it is not working. Be very carefull if you go there because you will have bites and take them home with you

2022-06-26I went to Camp Wilson as a child and loved it. I wanted to get my grandchildren interested in it but they always go to Kentucky for school break. Finally this is the year I have two that are attending one JR Ranch and the other Fishing i will let you know how it goes. Fingers crossed for a great experience.

2021-11-14I came here when I was 11 in 2006. Someone taught me how to play the banjo a little bit, I had my first experience with a strobe light (blew my mind). We learned how to square dance. On the day before we were supposed to go home I ate every single one of the small wild onions growing around our cabin and the next day I woke up deathly ill. It put me off onions for the last 20 years. It was the best camp experience of my life.

2020-10-02I have gone to this camp for two summers. I have mostly done the horse camps but if you do wranglers you can still do other camp activities. The horses are so gentle and the staff do everything to make sure you have fun. I went during COVID-19 and they took every caution needed to keep campers and staff safe while still being able to do all the normal camp activities. They accept everyone and you should totally go.

2018-06-28I love this camp, I have been going for 6 years and it was a very joyful experience. Personally I love and adore going here and look forward to the summer weeks just for the weeks I spend at this camp. The staff members are well trained and make great friends, the days are very well organized and always lots of activities to do. I definitely recommend this camp for other outdoor loving kids.

2019-04-08Have been attending camp at Camp Willson for many years now and I love it! Just finished my 12th womens weekend. There has been many Management changes over the years but each one makes camp their own and never loses what camp is all about. Upkeep is fantastic and growing. Area companies are donating their time and money to further the growth of Camp Willson as well and is a great thing to see and be a part of. Family camps, adult camps, volunteer camps and child camps are all a part of our family. Definitely worth the time to see for yourself what the talk is all about!

2016-02-23I just finished my tenth and final summer there, and I loved every second of it. Every day youre there youll find yourself having the most fun youve had in months; they make sure to fill your schedule with things like rock climbing, swimming in their freshwater lake which was formed by a glacier, hanging at the high-ropes course, and even a zip-line! I even met my current girlfriend there. Most of, if not all of my fondest memories are tied to beautiful Camp Willson.

2013-08-28YMCA Camp Willson is an awesome place. We have sent our daughter to several camps on her own. We have also attended Family Camp for 3 years. I have attended Womens Weekend for 4 years and my husband has attended Mens Camp since the 90s. We have had NO issues with bed bugs. We love Camp Willson and would be there every weekend if we could. Love the staff, love the environment.

2014-07-30Its obvious that the place has undergone a number of improvements over the years, but I have many happy memories of coming here for a week while a student at Northwood Middle School (Sidney, Ohio) in the late 70s. It was fairly basic back then but a lot of fun. Great place to learn while being out of the classroom for a few days. Was nervous about going but once there I didnt want to go back to civilization!!! Was a great experience that I still think about after all these years.
