Main points: they do not believe your issue with the vehicle, service department does not answer phones, they do not call you with updates on your vehicle, and all around an extremely poor experience.I had my car break down and get towed to this location. They had my vehicle for a week and determined that nothing was wrong, charged me $150 for diagnostics, and sent me on my way with no work done. No issue with this, I understand sometimes car electronics act up in the winter.About 12 hours later, my vehicle wouldnt start and couldnt be jumped either. At this point I had my car towed back to have them look at it again. This time they determined my battery was the issue (and didnt charge me the diagnostics fee again, fortunately). They asked to keep my vehicle over the weekend to ensure the issue was resolved. Again, this is fine as well, as I would just like my vehicle to be running and not have to return. After the weekend, I was unable to get ahold of anyone to let me know if I could pick up my car. Then the following day I was still unable to get ahold of anyone to let me know if my car was ready. After calling multiple times I was finally able to speak to the person managing my car. The battery had been replaced, but the original issue of the engine not shutting off was occurring. To their credit, they did fix it within hours of identifying the issue. It was frustrating to be told that the car had no issues, then breakdown again, then it was the battery, then they actually went to identify the original issue/repair it.It took two towings, dozens (no exaggeration) of calls, and TWO WEEKS to get my vehicle back for a wire that needed replaced and a battery that may or may not have needed replaced. I understand it was a difficult issue to identify the exact cause, but it seems that they almost immediately found the issue once they saw it actually happened during the second visit. It felt like they did not believe me on my issue or even look into it on the original visit to the shop. This is one of the most shocking experiences I have ever had with how little it felt like anyone at the dealership cared. I would suggest avoiding this location if you need work done on your car.
My salesman was John Campbell, and he did a tremendous job. I bought a used truck remotely from out of town and he was very astute in all of the details. He was also easy to communicate with and responsive, which is ideal in a remote purchase situation. He made the process easy. Thank you John!
I was in contact with employee Steven to discuss my options of getting another vehicle when my lease and wife lease ends on 7/1/2022. Our last contact was by phone and Steven was going to run somethings by his manager and get back to us. Sadly Steven never called back. Obviously he does not care about customers. I would not recommend Yark to anyone.
I had an oil change in September and it cost me $35.92. I just went back last week and it cost me $66.72. That is a $30.90 increase and is totally unacceptable. This place was so much better as Kistler Ford. We will not be having any additional service there nor will we purchase another vehicle from there.
Always polite and vehicle comes back in good order. I like that they tell me might want to get brakes looked at soon. They’re ok for now or tires will get you to winter but might not give you the traction you’ll want for winter driving. Once I went in and said it’s making a funny noise but I have an appt next week, so Mike (really like him) said let’s look at it. Before I knew it there were five guys under my hood. Mike came back and said can you get a ride home we want to check something out and if it’s what we think it is I don’t want you driving it. Came back as a serious issue. I trust Mike. He’s been taking good care of me and me vehicles for years.
This Ford dealer is probably the best Ford dealer i have ever been to. Took my vehicle in after purchasing it because it had a recall. Went in and seen Craig, he explained the recall and looked at my vehicle and seen it was low on coolant. So he asked if I had an hour and they were going to get it in NOW and see if it was what he was suspecting, so I waited. He came back and told me they have to rebuild the engine but it was fully covered so he sent me to enterprise to get a loaner and it started getting fixed. Amazing, very accommodating people here at Kistler. Thank you Kistler, Craig and MJ for their quick and very satisfying customer service in regards to this matter. Thank yall again!
First and foremost this review is solely based upon their service department and service manager. If I had the option of 0 stars I would. I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape some years ago and after many many miles have only had a few minor issues. I took my escape in a few months back for a simple oil leak that was covered under warranty. Came to pick it up and it was still leaking, dropped it off again only to pick it up with the same story and someone failed to tighten the turbo boot on so I was left stranded. Finally fix the leak and I go to pick it up from your shop with the check engine light on... they tell me it’s out of warranty now so I would have to pay for it. Great customer service there. Then to top it all off I went to change my spark plugs and discover that they broke the mount for the coil... now my escape has only been worked on at 3 locations. All 3 being Ford Motor Company dealerships. The other 2 have only done my scheduled oil changes. Kistler Ford is the only shop that has ever touched anything else. My experienced guess (mechanic of over 10 years) ... the mechanic overtightened the coil and snapped off the mounting point. And instead of replacing it with the proper replacement part they just epoxied it?!?!? This is unacceptable. Makes me question any future investment I might have with a Ford vehicle. Additionally they were supposed to fix my lower engine cover as well because it kept falling down when I left... instead of fixing they just removed it. Now eventually they replaced the lower splash guard and changed the broken valve cover, only to improperly install it leaving it with a terrible leak. It went in and out of the shop 3 more times with them unable to fix the issue. And now the new problem is that it was outside of the warranty so I could not just take it to another shop to fix it. Eventually I fixed the leak myself, and while doing so I found a 2 stick under the valve cover in the top of the head saturated with oil. I did the work with the aid of a friend and he can attest that the stick was not accidentally dropped in there by our doing. We were very specific in our actions to ensure no foreign contaminates would get inside. Besides, the level of saturation in the stick could only be from prolonged exposure to oil, undoubtedly caused by Kistler Fords service teams inattentiveness. What good is offering an extended warranty if your service centers cannot uphold the warranty? 0 out of 5 stars for me. For 6+ months of headache and hours of time lost for me to inevitably correct the issue on my own.
I had the worst experience ever at Kistler Ford dealership on central Ave in Toledo. They had my car since March 15th with little to no communication until last week. I called to speak to a manager and apparently they have no manager by the name I provided. Meaning that someone in their service department said they were a manager and played the part just to get me out the way. I called Yark Ford so many time left numerous voicemail and they ignored me for weeks on end. I would call and no one knew what was going on with my car. My car had been there the longest out of any other car in the service department. My insurance company picked Yark because Yark said they could have the car done the fastet. The general manager blamed it on the switch in ownership and took no responsibility! While being stuck in another state with no car, struggling to make it back and fourth to work, and in a pandemic he applied a $100 discount for an over 4000 bill. I asked if their was anything he could do for their inconvenience and terrible customer service. He had no sympathy what so ever. I asked him would he respond the same way if I was he daughter or wife he couldn’t even answer. They were nice enough to apply a discount to my insurance company for labor but I am only good enough for $100 a total smack in the face. I would hope I wasn’t treated this way because of my skin color but what else am I supposed to think. I would never recommend them, they are terrible with customer service!! Yark Automotive Group
If I could give 0 stars I would. I wouldnt recommend this dealership to anyone. If you need a Certified Ford Dealership I suggest Brondes Ford in Toledo. Ever since Yark took over for Kistler I have had nothing but problems. The staff are either not trained correctly, completely clueless or just plain lazy. They have lied to me 4 different times. Most of the time when they misinformed me it was because they didnt want to do their jobs. Yark doesnt care for the customer, they only care about the money. I miss Kistler. It used to feel like a family at Kistler, but now its just money money money never fixing the issue.
In dire need of a reliable automobile, since my 2010 Cadillac SRX Performance AWD was giving me a headache nearly every other week, and being from Michigan, knowing that Michigan vehicles are outrageously priced, I happened upon Yark Ford thru Auto-trader. Walked in unannounced one Saturday afternoon to test drive their many Edges, and Mr. Brown was the one who took me out for the ride. Great guy, we chatted while I drove, and enjoyed driving a grey Edge with 39000 miles. Explained to Mr. Brown that I will definitely be back after I took care of a few things first. He was Ok with that and we parted ways. Gave me his card in case I change my mind and want to deal with Yark. Approx 3 weeks later they got a Black Edge in with 22226 miles, I wanted the black one. Got in touch with Mr. Brown and decided on a Saturday visit. So on 9/11/2021 I decided to purchase my new vehicle. Presently the proud owner of a 2018 Ford Edge SEL AWD. Thank you Mr. Brown for all your help, will surely send anyone I know looking for a vehicle to you!!!
One star is more than they deserve. Terrible customer service. I scheduled an appointment at 8:30 am for a simple oil change and diagnostic to determine why my check engine light was on. I heard nothing from them for the rest of the day, and when I call the next morning they hadn’t even moved my car, let alone changed the oil. I understand being busy, but the least they could’ve done is communicate. I’ve come here since 2018, and when it was still kistler they did everything possible to make sure I was taken care of. Yark has completely ruined the family feeling that was established with kistler, and I will not be returning
They were severely behind on oil changes when I came for my appointment. I was more than happy to reschedule, but I drove 45mins for this appointment and wasnt offered any sort of discount due to the inconvenience. The staff wasnt helpful and seemed annoyed with my concerns, will not be returning after being a HAPPY Kistler customer for close to 4 years.
I had a nightmarish experience $3,000 later when it was Kistler and returned to Yark hoping they’d redeem themselves and maybe cover my oil change. I made an appointment weeks and advanced and asked for help because of my last experience. They texted to say it would be ready and it wasn’t. The people working seemed to be inexperienced and had no sense of urgency. The credit card machine was not working. I couldn’t pay while I was waiting for my car to finish. Then, they gave me someone else’s keys. It’s not any one individual’s fault that the operation is a mess.Eventually I got my keys and my car and was late for my next meeting. I will not return.
Had my truck multiple times for weeks on end. No structure in the service department. Kept getting my truck back and before I could leave the parking lot check engine light will be on. Service manager seem to always be out Michelle I think. Got the truck backIt drove fine for about six months. Then the wiring harness failed because the technician never clipped it back up. Who does that? Thats just lazy! Headless to say the thing started throwing the same code it did when they originally had it for four months. I talk to another shop there’s no way I would trust him again they took so long with my vehicle and drug their feet. And I have noticed even though the name change same people are working there save your money go to Brondes
Had my truck in for service on 1216 for a iwe issue told them i replace a part already then they replace the same part on 1216 which never fix the problem in the 1st place it seem like they just to get me in for service as quick as they could and same me on my way to where the nosie is still there... Its going to a different ford dealer next week...and i wont be back...
This post is about Kistler’s Collision Center. My car got hit and the other person’s insurance paid for my repair through this collision center. First off it took four weeks initially for them to “fix” it. When I go to pick it up the paint job was awful, craters where you could see the bare metal, bubbles, over spray, terrible quality. They also forgot to order a part of my back bumper, and we’re missing a lot of screws that help hold my bumper in place. So they let me keep my car while they ordered the part they forgot. I then took my car back to them and it took another week and a half for them to repaint and fix the issues that shouldn’t of been there in the first place. This whole ordeal took two months. Luckily I didn’t have to pay for any repairs only my time and patience. I would recommend going anywhere else but here.
This review relates to Service Dept. For 6+ months my Explorer was in/out for engine light on. They never were able to fully address the root issue and the light would return. Finally, they indicated it was a catalytic converter...I called around and found a place that did the work for 20% less and it was done the same day. I own two other Fords that wont be going to this dealer for service in the future...very disappointed, and that includes being in touch with the owner directly.
I had the displeasure of working with Deon Valentine. He was nice and polite at first, but quickly changed his tune when I expressed that I wanted to explore my options. He became abhorrent, nasty, and rude. I strongly do not recommend anyone receiving customer care from Deon. He may seem sweet but will quickly become aggressive and rude if you sway from a deal.
Took my vehicle in for some service work. The service writer was very friendly and got my vehicle in right away. Unfortunately the tech that worked on my vehicle did not do a thorough job and also left the trash from the parts in my vehicle when he was finished. I actually had to go back to the dealership when I realized the vehicle hadnt been fixed completely because the tech forgot something. I went back and it was corrected quickly. Unfortunately with the tech leaving trash in the vehicle and having to go back to have the original issue fixed the right way, I was a bit turned off by their service department.
Excellent customer service Experience and the Service Department is awesome they did an amazing job on my oil change and brake/rotor job on my 2016 Ford Escape. Keep up the excellent work guys. Thanks again. I will definitely be coming back to this Dealership in the future.
I enjoyed the interaction with my sales person, Nick M. and he did a great job in helping put me into this vehicle. I would recommend anyone to ask for Nick and he will take care of your needs as a customer. I appreciated all that he has done. I took delivery last week and I need to do some additions to the truck and they promptly scheduled them and work is being completed today. I love that I was not pushed off because they were too busy after they made the sale. So far I am nothing but happy with this dealership and the way that I have been treated!!!!
Kistlers service center has always been helpful and seems to understand and fix issue other dealers cant. Service center customer service seems to understand that you are probably having a rough day when you are bringing your car in for non-routine maintenance/repair.
This is the second vehicle weve bought at Kistler, Steven was our salesman both times. Hes great, he really takes care of his customers, works hard to get them the best deal possible. Kistler has earned my trust, the dealership goes above and beyond with their customer service and they strive to build their loyalty as well as the Ford brand loyalty. You dont feel pressured or forced into anything. Any future Ford vehicles I buy will come from Kistler!
Really poor service here don’t come here they try to make you pay for stuff that isn’t even broke on your car and kailey and bill are both knuckleheads and need stop trying to charge hard working people more then what is actually wrong with there car never coming to this dump again
I would actually rate 4.5 stars. The sales team was not exceptionally pushy, but rather quite friendly and accomadating. I purchased a quality vehicle at a fair price and the process was simpler and quicker than expected. They worked with me to make things as convenient as possible. I found a small defect that was not originally advertised and they offered an adequate fix- free of charge. I had an overall positive experience here. My only advice to the sales team is to not make too many assumptions about your customers at face value.
This is my second Escape from Kistler. My salesman Aaron made everything so easy for me. We did a lot by phone and I called him on the day I wanted to come in to pick out the color of my car and sign the paperwork. We were done in an hour!He was syncing my iPhone and setting up FordPass and I was on my way home.Their service department is top notch and Bill is an excellent service rep. And gets me in and out very quickly.High marks for everyone in the dealership
Excellent Zero pressure sales! Steven was extremely helpful, he listened and found the exact vehicle that I wanted. I love my Ford Fusion! Kistler Ford is an excellent dealership with courteous, knowledgeable employees. Its all about you and what you want not what they need to sell. Best car buying experience Ive ever had! I will be a repeat customer. Kistler Ford knows what customer service really means!
I was recently searching for a used truck and found one at kistler Ford I liked , we had purchased a vehicle from them about a year ago and had a mostly positive experience, that was not the case this time. I was ready to buy but had a trade , it took 3 trips just to get an appraisal on my trade . Kind of ridiculous and at one point the salesman Jeff told me I should just go buy another truck I was looking at from a different dealership. This was just one of many times he was rude to me . I had also e-mailed the dealership and asked for someone in management to contact me , to my surprise they had the salesman call me instead of management, they obviously didnt care about me as a customer and didnt appreciate my business. I did finally get my appraisal, it was lower than I wanted but that is not what kept me from doing a deal, it was the salesman and no response from management. So if you want good customer service this probably isnt the place.
Bought our vehicle when it was Kistler Ford and was told as long as I had the oil changed with them my engine would be warrantied for life, It was inconvenient but we did it, I called to schedule my next oil change and wanted to confirm that Yark would honor that policy and I was told they would not. I will not be buying anything from Yark Ford.
WOW, What a pleasant experience! No pressured sales, all Pricing upfront, No let me check with the Sales Manager.Truly a wonderful experience. I was expecting a traditional car buying experience but was shocked how far away from the traditional experience this was. I am telling every one to stop shopping and just go to Kistler. You will have the simplest, lowest price experience you will ever have buying a new vehicle!
Jeff at Kistler Ford took the stress out of vehicle shopping! Anyone that we encountered there was low key, no pressure, pleasant and polite. I loved being able to shop without feeling talked down to or pressured into something I didnt want. Very nice selection of vehicles too!! Highly recommend this dealership!!!
Let me start by saying I purchased my 2012 Ford Explorer from steven and he is GREAT! But after the purchase of my truck kistler has been nothing but disappointing as a whole.I was rear ended and took my truck to the body shop for the repairs. They qouted me 2-3 days for what needed replaced. I also had 2 recalls that needed taken care of. The two front desk ladies in the office are very nice BUT dont seem to communicate well with the service department. I was told my two recalls would be fixed WHILE the car was there to get the accident repairs, it didnt happen. I also called service the day i dropped the truck off to make sure it would get done (spoke to Dee). 6 days later I had to call and check on my truck myself. No one ever called to tell me the truck would be taking longer or why it was taking longer. Then to top that part off the recalls were not done and the bumper was not fixed completely (partially the insurance adjustors fault) but none the less zero communication until i asked to speak to the manager of the body shop and talked to josh. Josh said that he would send it for a supplemental check for the rest of the repairs and that he would call me.Fast foward weeks later i have to call and check on the status of the situation multiple times. Josh never comes to the phone. I just get put on hold while the office women (ann & renae i think) get the information for me.When i finally got a service appointment for the recalls which by the way i had to wait and entire week to get in because they were “booked” even tho it was supposed to be done prior. I had to drive back and forth to kistler a total of 4 times so far. 2 more times once i get the rest of the repairs taken care of so 6 times total and they never even offered me anything to make this situation right.Bill in service who i spoke with for the recalls was the only person that did okay during this whole process. I rated his survey low to get kistlers/fords attention which worked BUT MJ only called me to see what was going on because they want me to change my survey rating. Again did not offer me a gas card or anything for my troubles/wasted gas/wasted time.Overall i will not be back to kistler even with how much i enjoyed dealing with steven during the buy process. It seems that the none of the employees communicate to one another, the other departments or to me as the customer. Very dissatisfied. Hope i wont have any problems next tuesday when i take the truck back for the rest of the repairs..
I commute to the Toledo area for work - I had a problem with my Ford. I did not know what shop to call, so I looked up Ford dealers online and saw all the great reviews for Kistler. Going off that alone I made the right choice. They had great customer service and even fixed a safety recall I had on the vehicle. I appreciate your time and hard work. Thanks again!
Brought my Ford Transit in yesterday for a oil change and tire rotation. They did a complete inspection of my van. And re-calibrated my tires on my computer. Kistler was not only cheap but they do a thorough job. My total was just under $48 and thats because my van requires 6 quarts of oil. I will DEFINITELY be a repeat customer for Kistler Ford Toledo Ohio..And from the inspection report, what they told me, I already knew. And their oil changes are at every 5,000 miles as opposed to other places wanting you to come in every 3,000 miles. And the 5,000 miles is a lot closer to the 10,000...Dave and those guys are nice, friendly, and courteous. I HIGHLY recommend Kistler Ford of Toledo Ohio.. 5555 West Central Ave...
Terrible experience. Emailing/texting with saleperson, finally agreed on a day to come and finish the deal, get a call from the sale manager (Jeff) so he can confirm Im aware of neg. equity, blah, blah, then he proceeds to tell me the car Im coming to look out, and had been working on a deal for a week, was sold on a dealer to dealer auction site WHILE I WAS ON MY WAY THERE to get the car. Keep in mind, Im over 100 miles away, took the day off work to make this happen. Tells me the sales people dont have access to the auction site (gee, you think maybe they should so they make sure this doesnt happen, or to let the manager know to pull the car off the auction site because they have a buyer?). Absolutely livid that they let something like this happen, especially when the consumer is willing to come from such a distance to purchase their vehicle. Would not recommend at all.
Bought from a distance - Pittsburgh to Toledo. Nick Montalbano took terrific care of me and made sure as much as possible was done ahead of time and that when on site everything was as efficient as possible. Even though I was an out of towner – everyone there treated me as if I was the neighbor next door. Great car – great price – great service!
Have used Kistler Service Center twice now, first to have a set of keys learned to my vehicle which another dealership wanted hundreds for because they refused to let me bring my own keys to learn. Went back for an oil change & warranty work with Chris being my service advisor and the work was quick & easy. Great business to support.
I bought my car from Kistler Ford at the end of 2016. My experience was great until I had to deal with their service department. My car was randomly turning off and they did not do their due diligence to figure out what was wrong with my car. They kept my car for a week and a half and did not provide me with a courtesy car so I had to pay $500 for a rental just for them to tell me that nothing was wrong with my car. I told them that they needed to drive it for an hour at least to reproduce the issue. They test drove it multiple times over the course of having my vehicle for a week and a half and only put 40 miles on it! Definitely not enough to produce the issue. Do not waste your time with them! They wasted my time and money and I still have a death trap of a vehicle! The manager Michelle is unhelpful and told me basically there was nothing that they can do. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEIR SERVICE CENTER!
This dealership is great! No pushy salespeople. Steve Eckstein went above and beyond to make sure I purchased the car I was most comfortable with. He gave me suggestions and his advice, After I decided on my choice the process was quick and professional. I would recommend this Steve to anyone who is looking for a vehicle here.
Much thanks to Justin F, Jerry K, Sunday, & Josh K! Start to finish the best service visit I have ever experienced! The staff members were all very knowledgable, helpful, & friendly. Over the years I have become accustomed to becoming frustrated whenever I bring a vehicle in for service. This was my 1st visit to Kister Ford and should anything else happen to one of my vehicles, it will not be my last! The quality of the work performed was amazing. This was hands down the most friendly staff I have ever come across! When I received my vehicle back today it was cleaner than when it was when I bought it brand new! I mentioned when I was picking my vehicle up that I would love to extend a compliment to them for their work and was referred to this site. Many people have no problem taking the time to complain about services but few people take any time to recognize superior work and customer service. I truly hope that this makes its way back to the employees @ Kistler Ford. I really want them to understand that their efforts did not go without notice! I strongly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for fantastic work, a great deal, & just the best customer service around!
Aaron did a great job getting me into my new F150. Bobby J followed up with me and did everything he could do to get me the best deal on my truck. The team was not trying to push me into buying a truck and were more concerned that I had a great experience. Thanks Kistler team, look forward to future business with you all.
Once again, I had a terrific experience working with the staff at Kistler Ford. As the lease for my 2014 Ford Fiesta was ending, I was eager to hop into a 2016 Fiesta—the only problem was that nothing on the lot matched my list of features and options I absolutely had to have for my next vehicle. The alternative was to place a special order for the perfect car I wanted—something I had no idea I could actually do! Maxwell was beyond helpful in making sure that the vehicle I ordered included exactly what I had in mind. It took about two months for my 2016 Fiesta to arrive, but it was absolutely worth the wait! Lauren was a great salesperson, and was in constant contact with me, providing updates on production, and answering any questions I had. If you are looking for a new vehicle, definitely check out Kistler Ford!
This is my second purchase from Kistler. Deon was great to work with. I came in the night prior and test drove my vehicle. Understandably I came in later in the evening and wasnt able too complete the sale. Deon took all of my information and all financing was set up and ready to go the next day. Deon gave me a call and I headed in. Easiest buying experience yet. Once again part of the Kistler for life package which saved me roughly $1500 on my last vehicle and added extra cash towards my down payment. I will definitely be returning when Im ready for my next vehicle down the line. Thanks again.
First no one wanted to wait on us. When we picked car up, they left all paper in it, looked like they splashed snow all over inside car. The kicker, someone smoked inside our car. Smelled of smoke, and ashes on dash, seats and center consul. First and last visit to this service department. Calling Ford right now.
What a great experience! My salesman Nick went the extra mile to make sure that I was able to get the car I wanted. He took time to go over all the new bells and whistles with me as well. When a couple minor issues were found, Nick and my service consoltant Cody went the extra mile to make sure my new car was perfect.
My wife and I went to Kistler Ford to look at getting a lease for her. Weve been a one car family for several years without a problem but I recently took a job that had me working outside the home and the trip to the dealership had me thinking about my poor car, with 190K+ miles on it and I had been considering asking about the possibility of leasing a second car, possibly a Fiesta. Most of my driving is made up of the 2.5 miles from my house to the bus stop and back. Then we got to the dealership.I havent owned many cars in my lifetime, but Ive been involved in buying cars for nearly 30 years, from my first heavily used Ford Escort from a used car salesman acquaintance my father knew, to having looked at dozens of cars before I settled on a Mitsubishi back in the late 90s. From the time I walked into your dealership, I knew this was different. I have had situations where Ive walked into a dealership based on advertised price and walked out based on high-priced upselling of why I didnt want the car Id come in for. I actually wont buy one brand of car because I had such a bad experience with a salesman there. But the experience that Nae and I had at Kistler Ford will keep us coming back and sharing our experience with our friends. This last weekend was actually the first time Ive gotten to take the Escape for more than a quick run to the bus stop and back. I was in Columbus this past weekend to catch up with some old friends and I can tell you that I would have hated to make that ride in a Fiesta. I am very glad that I felt comfortable enough to ask Mike about the possibility of getting both cars and I am very pleased that Mike and Justin were able to work with me to get both cars for numbers that fit in my budget. We will definitely be coming back to Kistler Ford for our car needs.
Everyone I spoke to at dealership was extremely friendly and very helpful. Another thing I loved is that nobody was pushy like alot of salesmen are. I am very impressed with the Kistler for Life program and the Gold Rewards that are offered at no cost to the customer and the fact that my car will be picked up and brought back to me when I call to schedule maintenance. I have never heard of this type of service at any other dealers that I have purchased cars from. I will definitely be returning to this dealership for future purchases.
Lauren was great! We had some complications bc I was trading in one car and buying two but we all worked through it. Kistler was not my first stop and it’s not the closest to my house however I am very happy with purchase and would recommend them if you are buying a Ford. Been buying Ford’s for over 20 years now and they are awesome......stay out of the shop and get me where I’m going!
Going to keep this short, place is sketchy, & you never want sketchy when youre buying a car! First off, we were interested in the car, we had to call them multiple times to get any answers. They finally came to a conclusion and said they were going to fix the car we wanted before we bought it, then called back after we were on our way & said, no we cant fix it. So even after that we decided wed buy the car and fix it at our local dealer.. When we got there we asked to take it to our mechanic and have it checked out... They REFUSED!!! Refused to let us have a $13,000 car inspected by our own mechanic??? Then told us if we didnt buy the car TODAY, (with 20 minutes until closibg) we wouldnt be allowed to buy it at all. After this car sat on the lot for 90 days already! We walked out!! Thanks for the wasted 2.5 drive!!! Oh and I wont even get into rude financing manager pretty much screaming at me for forgetting a paper at home.. Go to Jim white if you want a straight up dealer & a nice car.
Terrible service, after texting and calling back and forth, I was asked to pick out two cars and to come in to negotiate the prices, after traveling more then 45 minutes , A different salesperson (rude ) advised they don’t negotiate and showed me a cheaper car, which smelled horrible, was dirty and damaged. Not what you would expect from a Ford car dealership. Definitely sending my complaint to the Ford Family and office.
THE WORST SERVICE EVER! Dropped my car off at 8 am after making an appointment over a week ago to get the oil changed, tires rotated, rear heat seats looked at because they barely heat up, the back hatch kick feature isnt responding, and the sync cuts off songs, where I have to move the plug to the other port to get it to work. After five attempts to get a hold of someone in the service department, Bill put me on hold for 15 minutes when Dave picked up the line and told me they were only able to get the oil changed and the tires rotated in 9 hours. Dave told me they just didnt have enough time to run the diagnostics for any of the other issues I asked them to look into which they knew about over a week ago when I made the appointment. Thank you Lisa for helping me get a hold of someone in the service department.UPDATE: Spoke to Michelle in the service department and she apologized and said that shouldnt have happened to a platinum customer. They will pick up my car at my place of employment, do the requested checks and return it washed.
My wife and I have bought our last 4 cars here. Salesperson was friendly and not overbearing (so good on that front), but I WONT buy another vehicle from them. I purchased a used car with low miles for around $20,000, when I hit the expressway with it noticed a slight vibration in the rear that I didnt notice during the test drive. During the first week with the car it became more noticeable. Come to find out, one of the tires was bad. The manager refused to replace the tire because They worked with me on the price of the vehicle. Oh well, you just lost a life long customer over the cost of a tire. Im sure after getting the poor review someone will reach out to me and try to work something out, but its too late. It shouldnt take a poor review to get good customer service. Go somewhere that will appreciate your business.
Had a very positive buying experience with Aaron Byler at Kistler Ford. He thoroughly explained all of the options available for my new Escape. At the time of delivery, he patiently synced my new vehicle to my phone and again explained the pertinent features. I love driving it and will be back when it needs to be replaced.
Great customer service. CPO vehicles come with lots of perks and incentives. Nick M. was very thorough when educating me about the vehicle. Nice dealership and atmosphere! No pressure. I knew what I wanted after researching it online. Cargurus lead me to the dealership that had exactly what I was looking for. Great selection of vehicles!!!
The experience in getting a lease was straightforward, hassle free, and easy. I never felt pressured and they got me into the car I wanted at the price I could afford. They even showed me all the pricing structures including what they paid for the car. This process was as open and transparent as any dealer could be. If you are looking for a new car, dont just think of Ford, go to Kistler Ford
My wifes Ford Escape had an over-heating problem that only occurred after going 50mph. This was accompanied by the passenger compartment periodically losing heat. This occurred over this cold winter and my wife driving long distances. On 3 occasions, her car had to be towed to the Kistler dealership to be diagnosed and re-diagnosed with the resulting repairs coming to almost $2,000. On the third re-visit, Frank Kovach, drove the vehicle himself on the freeway and was able to replicate the conditions experienced by my wife. The service department consulted with corporate Ford to seek a solution. The vehicle remained at Kistler for over 2 months with many part replacements without the problems being resolved. Eventually, the service department replaced the engine with a factory warranted one. Having invested thousands of dollars and untold hours of labor, this dealership only asked for a good faith contribution on our part to have the car returned to us. While we made a contribution within our means, it fell far short of Kistler recouping its costs. Throughout the process both Tom and Frank were a pleasure to work with and even provided a partial credit to offset some of the towing charges. The customer relations of this car dealership, in our opinion is unprecedented and deserve special recognition.
I was in need of a newer vehicle and I was out shopping. I had been dealing with 3 other dealerships in the Toledo area. They just wouldnt work with me, they couldnt satisfy my needs. I pulled into Kistler Ford for my first time (being a long time Chevy man) I Met with Nick Montalbano. Nick was very courteous and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions on 4 Ford Fusions that I had seen on the lot and He was a no B.S./ nonsense salesman. I told him I was shopping and in early stages. He gave me his card and I left. I visited 2 other dealerships and returned to see Nick and test drove a car. Nick answered all of my questions and concerns. He and his boss (Jeff) worked with me in financing, plus being Memorial day weekend they were swamped and the attention they showed me was phenomenal all this while he had other deals going on at the same time. In just a few hours I was able to look at several cars ,test drive, and get financed and drive away with a new car> It was done by the professionalism of Nick Montalbano and the Kistler Team. I recommend Kistler Ford when purchasing a new vehicle and ask for Nick! Thanks,Don Hayden
I have been a loyal Ford customer for over 40 years, so when I decided to purchase a new vehicle, there was no doubt I was going to go to a Ford dealer - the only question was, which one. With so much information available on-line as to what a particular vehicle costs a dealer and what the typical selling price is, the real question becomes which dealer has that added X factor that will make one decide to buy from them.Like most people now days, I first turned to the internet to find a vehicleI wanted, the options, and the manufacturers retail pricing (which we all know is a joke.) Once the preliminarys were selected, I then went on line to find dealers who would sell me that vehicle for the least amount. To no surprise, I found numerous dealers within a 250 mile radius that had good pricing; however, I had to travel to pick up the vehicle. As a comparison, I went to 3 local dealers around the Toledo, OH area and got 3 very different prices and impressions of the dealerships (more specifically, the way they handled me and my transaction.) Im not naive about buying a car (I have Google....) and I was prepared when I walked into each of the dealerships for what I felt was the right price. What I was looking for was the relationship I was anticipating that I was going to have and if I felt comfortable.Of the 3 dealerships I went to, only Kistler Ford made me feel like they were working in my best interest. When I walked in the showroom, I was met by a young (20 something) kid who I could tell he was new to the car sales game. With Bob (his sales trainer) in tow, Cole started with the typical sales pitch about how can I help you.... At that point, as a buyer, I was in command - I could lead the conversation and I could control the tempo of when I was ready to buy. This sales training went on for a while, and Cole did and said exactly what Bob told him to do and say. After a while, we finally got down to what the dealer (Kistler) has to offer over other dealers and Cole recited the script well. Overall, Cole did an excellent job considering I was simply playing the naive buyer and he was the new salesmen.Since no one had a vehicle I wanted, I left it up to all three dealers to see if they could find the vehicle I was looking for and at what price. By mid morning the following Monday, all 3 dealers had found the vehicle and said they could have it to me within the week. So, at this point I have to decide on a dealer. I chose Kistler because of three (3) reasons: 1) I liked the fact that they allowed a new salesman to work with me (every salesman has to start somewhere) and I liked that they (Kistler) have a practice of using real-time sales opportunities to train the their people, 2) I liked the added benefits Kistler offered to their customers (even though I know Im paying for them in the sales price,) and 3) they were close to where I live and I feel I could go by there just to say Hi.Overall, I know I paid a bit more for the vehicle than I could have gotten from another dealer, but it was the totality of the sales experience that made me more comfortable with Cole, Bob and Kistler Ford - thats why I chose them.
Nick Montalbano was the salesman who made my experience very positive and informative. The sales manager also bent over backwards to insure I was a satisfied customer. Financing the vehicle was hassel free and the gentleman explained all the terms and options for extended service so I could understand! I would highly recommend Kistler Ford as your car buying destination!!
I would recommend Kistler Ford to anyone and everyone. This was the best business experience we have ever had in purchasing a vehicle. There was no pressure from Nick Montalbano. He was very professional and friendly. He took the time in answering questions and explaining the transaction. We left the dealership feeling like we not only gained a new purchase but a new friend. Thank you Nick for a great business experience! We will definitely be back!!!!
Amazing experience getting my car repaired thru Geico at Kistler Ford Body Shop. The receptionist who works for Kistler Ford Body Shop is amazing, made me feel very comfortable with the whole process. Kept me well informed and explained the entire procedure. The car looks great and can ther guess any boby damage was present. Also the clean the car inside out before handing it back to you.
This post is in regards to the service department. We made an appointment for our daughters car to have 2 recalls worked on. Called on a Friday (7/17) and they said they could take care of it the following Wednesday (7/22) and to have the car there by 8:00 a.m. We arrived at 8:00 a.m. and left the car. By the end of the day they called to say they hadnt even started it. The next day they called at the end of the day to say they STILL hadnt started on the car!! This morning we called and told them to just forget it and we would come pick up the car. Still no recall work!!! Unbelievably unprofessional and unsafe! Very disappointed!
I had a great experience at Kistler! Chip was very helpful and made it super easy. Chrissy was super helpful with my trade in! I got the family friendly dream car I was hoping for at a really great price. Thanks Kistler Ford! And thanks to Jack Jorgensen - my 2 yr old daughter loves your commercials!
I bought this car when I graduated college from Jeff, and I have had absolutely nothing but problems with it. It’s a 2015 car and instead of Jeff taking care of a repeat customer he sold me the car knowing that all Ford Focus’ after 2012 have transmission issues. I have had recall after recall on my car. They still haven’t fixed it correctly, i keep having to pay more money and then they wouldn’t cover the rental cost even though they have to fix the car under warranty and under the recall. Absolutely terrible. I would never recommend anyone purchasing a car from here or From Jeff!!! — typical car salesman, just trying to get a sale and not take care of the customer!
Kistler ford is great as usual. This our 5th time leasing a car through them and nothing but patience and excellent customer service . Craig who we have bought our last 2 cars from has been amazing . Please keep him happy. We will only buy from kistler from now on. Thank you guys for show what customer service should be like .
I went into the day looking and actually test driving a car at another dealership and decided to pull into Kistler Fords used car lot. I was immediately welcomed by Jeff. He was so knowledgeable and answered all of the questions I had! I came back later that afternoon and ended up buying a car that day. Everyone was quite helpful and put me at ease through the process of purchasing my first car.
The dealership was wonderful throughout the whole process. They gave me a more than fair trade in for my old car, made sure all my questions were answered, and even helped me set up all the features of my car before I left! I never felt pressured or like I was bothering them with new questions. It was a truly wonderful experience from the moment I stepped in the door.
Jeff Mathis was incredible to work with. He was not overbearing and followed up to answer any questions that I might have. The sales process was easy and I was not pressured to purchase any additional options that benefit the dealer and not the consumer. Very satisfied with my experience.
I had a fantastic experience with the body shop. I was more than a little grumpy that I had to take my car all the way to Toledo for an estimate after a guy hit me. Once I was there you might as well just have them give you a rental car and let them fix it, right? I didnt make it much of a secret that I hated the whole process with Geico. Well, I went to pick up my car and they did an amazing job. They not only fixed the front bumper where I was hit but they waxed the whole car. Where they must have had to replace the driver side headlight they brightened up the other one so they match (thank you, that would have driven me nuts). The whole outside of the car looked better than the day I bought it. Also, I called them to ask if they could give me an estimate on the hinges to the driver door because it was bent. This was completely not related to the accident, the wind took my door and bent the hinges a few weeks prior. I figured if the car is in there you might as well get it done. Well, I never heard back from them so I just assumed they forgot. NOPE, they replaced the hinges on my door and didnt charge me for it. THANK YOU!
I was in the process of being financed for a vehicle. Kistler called me and told me “Good news, the financing went through and we got you approved. But the truck is gone. Someone else came in and bought it.” How do you sell a vehicle that’s currently in the process of being financed to another person??? Shady move!!! Not only that, but they ran my credit, negatively impacting my credit score, which wasn’t great to begin with. Now I have to work to improve the damage done to my score. Do not trust Kistler Ford!
Ive been looking around at cars for a while now and hadnt been pleased with my experience at many dealerships. Either they were all over you from the start or nowhere to be found. So I was beginning to think Id never find my happy ending. Then I stopped into Kistler while visiting friends in Toledo for Thanksgiving. Kistler was great. It was a very laid back atmosphere. Despite everyone being very eager to help, you dont feel pressured in anyway. Eric was very helpful and patient in helping me narrow down my search. And when he had to step away for a second, Sara stepped in without missing a beat to answer my questions. It was really an all around great experience and I highly recommend the dealership to anyone looking for a car particularly Eric and Sara. Thanks for the happy ending Eric; youre the best!!
Absolutely terrific experience! Nick was the best! I started my car search in March 2016 and FINALLY purchased a vehicle August 2016. He never gave up and he never pushed me into anything I didnt want. He knew what I wanted and didnt offer anything else. Maxwell did his hardest to get me into a vehicle and he was excellent! Highly recommend this dealership to anyone! Nice, clean, and friendly environment!
I bought a vehicle from Bobby Jorgenson Kistler Ford in July 2015. I bought a certified vehicle and also bought the extended warranty. I noticed the hood had bubbling under the lip and called the salesman who got it in and fixed the known problem. Since that interaction I have had nothing but problems with the service department not returning calls or emails, forgetting to take pictures of the most recent bubbling under the hood, having Ford deny my claim because Kistler Ford sent my vehicle to an outside place to be fixed the first time. Now I have called 3 times, left 3 voice mails, and no one will return my calls. I have a $30,000 used certified vehicle that has issues (a known problem with this make and model) and not a single person will return my calls.I would recommend that anyone thinking about buying a vehicle find a place that has a services department that cares about customer satisfaction. This car dealership is not one I would ever do business with again. I have sent many emails and I have told them that I would never return as a customer, nor would I refer anyone again.
I was very impressed with Erics willingness to work with me on my terms - making suggestions that might be of interest to me, but not pushing me in a direction that was not of interest. In other words, he really listened to me!When I returned to the dealership to pick up my car, I was also very impressed with the professionalism and efficiency demonstrated by Justin Ford, the Finance Manager. He made clear what was required of me, answer any questions I had, and guided me through the process. My entire experience has left me with a POSITIVE impression of Kistler Ford.
Dont waste your time with the sales department. They strive to get you into the dealership, stating its your best shot at negotiating a price.Once in there, they are rude, deploying old school sales tactics explaining they dont negotiate. Waste of timeGo to Bondes ford or Price pro, right down 23..Yark isnt any better.Go through the reviews youll see numerous complaints, of the sales department.
I just bought a car for Kistler Ford. Sale went smooth and they worked with me. I live far away and had a friend go down and test drive it for me. I made the deal over the phone on Thursday and everything was set to go by Friday. They got all the info to my bank and the check was wrote. I got down there and the car was sitting next to the door waiting for me. They even put enough gas in it for me to get home.
Very fair deal made. 2017 edge 4k miles.Went to Mathews Ford First. Tried to short change my trade in. Went to Kistler got 4k more than Mathews offered. BBV trade was 7 to 9k Mathews offered 4k. I left immediately.Thank you to Jeff and Jen in used cars outstanding service..
Best new car purchase experience yet!Kistler Ford made our new car purchase our best experience to date. The staff was friendly and attentive they answered all our questions as well as our concerns as far as affordable payments. I would highly recommend them to others looking to buy or lease a new Ford vehicle.
Took my truck in to get serviced, oil change, the attendants were very friendly and got me checked in quickly. While I waited for the truck, I went into the lounge room where they have comfortable seats, complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and /or tea. Overall, they were very friendly and quick with the service.
Tony was very attentive to our needs. We told him what we were looking for he brought 3 different models inside for us to look at so we did not have to go out to walk around the lot in the cold and high wind. We decided the Fusion would be the best fit. Tony sat down with us and discussed colors, options, and explained the option packages, in other words to get this option you have to buy this package. After explaining all of this he brought out a car for us to test drive. Tony is a good listener because we bought the first car we drove. Unlike other dealers who get you to drive the most expensive model they have, then try to work your way down to what you asked for in the first place after test driving 6 different cars. When it came to finalizing the deal Tony found all available discounts. Through conversation he found I had retired from a automotive parts manufacturer that is a Ford supplyer, so he called the personal dept. of my company and got the information from them, called Ford a got a pin number and got me on the Ford X Plan for Ford suppliers. I didnt know I was still eligible for that discount. The next day they had us come back to teach us how to use the Sync system. Justin was very patient in explaining everything and very thorough. My wife is not computer savy and Justin was very patient with her and took time to find ways to explain so she could understand. It was a very good buying experience and I recommend Kistler Ford to everyone planning to buy a car.
I bought an 07 Fusion from Kistler in 08. I was somewhat reluctant to purchase another Ford after some bad experiences with the brand back in the 80s. The vehicle turned out to be bar none, the best Ive ever owned in my 40 some years of driving. Kistler has also given me consistently the best service Ive ever experienced. Due to those two factors I fully intend on using Kistler as my go to dealer from here forward and will recommend you to everyone I know seeking a vehicle. Kudos to Nick Ostas, the technical people, and everyone else. Your organization is the standard bearer for what every other car dealer in Toledo should aspire too. Dont change a thing, I dont think you can do any better.
I had been looking at purchasing a vehicle for approximately 3 months now and the Kistler website was very helpful (through pictures & vehicle descriptions) in helping me make a decision to come in and test drive a 2014 Ford Escape. I owned a 2007 Ford Sport Trac and was not too happy that Ford discontinued the model, but after the crazy winter we had, I knew I needed to upgrade to a 4wd vehicle. The service was great - after requesting additional information online, I scheduled a test drive with Rebecca. Upon arriving at Kistler, I was welcomed by Keith Foster who helped me figure out the type of vehicle I wanted and what I could afford. The whole process was quick and easy - due to the Ford Employee Pricing and special Ford Credit financing, I found the a reliable (so far) vehicle with all the bells and whistles at a reasonable price. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the customer service. This was my first time purchasing a vehicle without my dad, and I went in fearing the worst, but the experience wasnt bad at all - quick and painless [until my first monthly payment ;)].
I was in total aaaw when I went to Purchase my 4 car from them and the Treatment I received and how I was talked to by the Sales Person!!! I was Told they rather send car to Auction than Work out A deal with me! I have bought 3 brand new cars from them and was very pleased but there Customer Service has went Down Hill!! I will Not and Will let my Family and Friends know about this!! I felt like I was Bothering Them asking Questions and Concerns about the Vehicle!!! Very Unsatified!!😖😖😖😖
If you want a great car buying experience come to Kisler Ford.. My husband and I live an hour away and we decided to come down last minute and see a car they had in stock.. They didnt have photos of it up yet and they nicely text us some pictures before we drove down. Deon was fast, friendly and straight to the point. We drove off in a new car within a few hours 🙌 Thanks Deon, JT and the Kisler Ford Team
A few years ago my wife was involved in an accident that ended up with her car being totaled, and not having too much in the bank, we were in a market for a used car. Being more of a computer guy than a car guy I was leery about going to a dealership because I believed that I would be paying more for a car than I would at a private seller also, with myself not knowing too much about cars, maybe getting a bad deal on a lemon. However, I was highly recommended by a friend and co-worker so I decided to give Kistler Ford a try.Without making an appointment we stopped on by and Tom immediately approached us after a few minutes of browsing. My wife and I were pleased with Tom Shanahans no-rush, no hassle approach and he was open, honest, and friendly. He was very helpful in pointing out many of the cars features and showed us similar models that we might be interested in. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and more importantly didnt try to upsell us on anything we didnt ask for or wasnt in our price range. If you ever have a problem they will take care of it and fast. After purchasing the Mercury Milan my wife said the brake pedal was "squishy" and they repaired it the next day with no questions asked. We were afraid of getting financed but after giving just a few numbers they said it should be no problem. We never felt we were being taken advantage of as first time buyers. We had such a great experience that we came back again Jan 2013 and bought a 2010 Ford Escape at great price. We saw Tom Shanahan again and he gave us the same great service he did 2 years ago. Justin Flood was particularly wonderful in the finance department. Justin explained everything to us very clearly and went over everything we were signing before we signed it. He was very through and made sure we understood our financial responsibilities without being pushy or course. We are very pleased with Kistler Ford.
I purchased a 2013 Ford Explorer. I love it! Jeff Mathes was outstanding! I have been getting my cars from him for awhile now. He always goes above and beyond my expectations. Anytime I pull into the lot he always is there to say hello and makes sure everything is okay with my vehicle. I am pleased with the sale, my salesperson, and the dealership! What a great dealership! Thank you!!
Literally the worst service ever. I drop my car off Monday at 10am and it is suppose to be fixed Friday at 4:54pm. I get updates saying my car is going to be done on time and Friday morning they said I’d there was a delay I would get a call. I go pick up my car Friday and when I go to pull in at 4:33 I get a text that says it won’t be done until Monday (4:40pm). NO ONE CALLED! So now after figuring out how I’m suppose to get around this week I have to figure it out all weekend and Monday for work. I’ve called and left messages and it says they close at 6pm but no one has called me back.
I absolutely hate this place. The brand new 2016 Ford Edge that we purchased at the end of 2017 has been in their shop over 10 times. 7-8 different times with in the first year of owning it. They are unable to fix anything without breaking something else. Their costumer service was horrible and they have lied about what is wrong and what they have done. I will NEVER buy another car form here again.
GO ANYWHERE ELSE!! absolute garbage. Bought my car over Christmas from out of town. Only positive is that the price was nice. They Tinted my car wrong and incorrectly causing me to have to get it redone. After taking it to the only place I live near that actually sells this same type of tint I had to pay out of pocket AGAIN to get it fixed. Now out twice for the tint, they were supposed to reimburse me within 2 weeks. It has now been over 2 months and STILL NO REIMBURSEMENT! The guy I worked with at Kistler was very sweet, however, he left the company and I was never alerted. I have filed complaints with Ford and am reaching out to the owner Bobby Jorgensen now. Lets also keep in mind that my car already is in the shop due to transmission not properly shifting which should have been caught before they even sold the car as well as a few other things that should have been caught before the sale of this car was ever completed. Lets not forget how they informed me they could not order these certain FACTORY Ford rims for my car. I checked with one of my close friends that works at a very well known dealership in Texas and they could order them at a quarter of the price. They researched this again and came back saying they could order these rims. Gave me a total and then went to pay for them and they said oh no im sorry we are unable to order these rims after I already paid for part of them. My father has owned Ford vehicles since 1995 and is now refusing to ever own one again because of Kistler Ford.
This is an update on my review. 12/2019. I went in for the first service on my 2019 Expedition, anmd talking with the service advisor about the vhicle, I told him I purchased the Expedition because of the towing capacity, the 3.5 Ecoboost and the 9200 lb rating. The service advisor told me that towing with the vehicle will damage the turbo! I dont understand how he could say that about a vehicle with those ratings and not knowing what I was towing. Indeed, I found his information to be ridiculously unsettling because hes a service advisor, that he knew something I didnt know. After researching his claims, and talking to my nephew who is a certified Ford Master mechanic, I found the service advisors claims about towing to be utterly false. Someone needs to talk to that advisor.
Tom Muirhead did a great job of informing me of what needed to be done to service my car. I had recently taken my car into another shop to have the air-conditioning fixed. The other place performed some kind of diagnostic and claimed I also needed to have the brake lines replaced. I knew it was time for some required maintenance because of the way the car was performing. Tome explained that the lines would need to be fixed, but I would get a warning light first and should have them serviced immediately.Thank you Tom for helping me extend the life of my car.
Great ford dealer with excellent peope in every aspect of the dealership. Sales staff is not high pressure but very helpful in the purchase process. Service department is top notch with very personalized service. Tom Muirhead is the best service person I have ever dealt with in any dealership period.I have leases four vehicles here and will continue to do so in the future.
I will never take my vehicle back to this dealership. I had a new engine installed in my Explorer. They had the job completed in two days. For the next 10 months or more they had my car in their shop almost as much as I did. They could not figure out why it smelled of gas, or why it was missing. I paid for new catalytic converters after I was left on the side of the road the day after I picked it up after a two week stay at Kistler. They told me that was the problem, it was not. It went back and they installed a computer. They did not connect my idiot lights back up so I would not know my check engine light had come back on. They reconnected my transmission to the engine incorrectly. The transmission shop said my fail was due to the faulty job that was done putting in my engine. They cracked by housing surrounding my back glass and refused to talk about it. The owner would not call us back and Nick the service writer was very nice until we had to keep bringing our vehicle back. Nick was rude to say the least. I will never go back to this dealership.
Just bought my first used car from Kistler. Getting to the point, on the test drive I discovered that had an P301 which is usually an indication of the spark plug needed to be replaced. I informed the salesman I had been working with, and he called up a auto shop near buy to get the issue solved at their cost the same day. No games, no thrills, no pressure. Id buy here again.
We came to Kistler looking for a reasonably priced and well maintained used vehicle and left successful. We had been looking at vehicles for several months at dealerships across the state and no one provided service quite like Jeff at Kistler Ford. Jeff went above and beyond what was required to make our car buying experience a pleasant one. I highly recommend Kistler Ford and Jeff Mathes.
I purchased a 2015 Fiesta. (leased) This is my second Fiesta and when I turned in my first one i told them exactly what i wanted and they gave it to me and some! My trip was fast and the quality was great! Everyone was super friendly. I will always stick with Kistler. No complaints!
I drive for my job and have put many miles on my car. I have called Tom Muirhead or Bill Noe and described what Im seeing on my dashboard as Im driving to see one of my patients and they give me on the spot help. When Ive had to leave a message they call me right back with instructions on what I should. Ive had to bring my car in for repairs and they help me get a rental and back out the door right away. For minor stuff once again the same friendly, quick and efficient service. Both Tom and Bill are very helpful, dont talk down to me (Im female), explain things so I can understand and friendly. When I get my car back it is fixed, cleaned and ready to go. They are Five Star Guys and I get Five Star service!
Theres nothing worse than being stranded in Toledo with a bad battery. I was between the dealership where I purchased my vehicle and my home in Michigan. After a horrific phone and in person visit to another dealership. I remembered your dealer where my father used his APlan for my daughters call in 2000. And my mother still is a patron. Was terrified when I drove in, Mr. Bernardo immediately put me at ease. Explained the process and would try to get me in and out as quickly as possible. I was in town for an important physician appointment.Reviewed my invoice for the battery previously purchased. He is an asset to your Dealership, and I will forever be a Kistler whistler (guess Im dating myself)Again thank you for the excellent service I received.
Sales, excellent service. Nick Montalbano is always great. Polite, quick, simple process, no haggling, seamless.Service department on the other hand was ........ We were given one price for tires and installation, and after the service was complete, BAM, they added an additional $200 to the price with the lame excuse that the tires costed more than they expected. So when you bring u the price on your computer and show the customer, you can still jack up the prices? Your mistakes are not warranted and i am responsible to pay for it?Have called the service department a few times to try and get resolved and they keep telling me they will call back in 30 minutes yet they have never called back.
My experience was awesome. I got my SUV about four or five months ago I think and the gentleman who helped me was Maxwell Ohnezeit, he was great he answered all my questions and made me feel that he wasnt all about taking my money but wanting to find me the right car, help build my credit, and that I am a valued customer. I would and have recommended my friends and family to go see Maxwell and his team because they are awesome.
Chip lied to my face to close the sale. He told us that the car we purchased was certified used by Ford but when we had our third problem in six months with the car and the service department didnt want to help we called Ford only to find out this car was never certified. Buyer beware. On the previous trips to the service department they have twice cancelled appointments for repairs because they failed to order the parts. They seem completely disorganized on top of being dishonest.
I would like to thank Steve and Bob for going the extra mile and putting me in my new 2017 Ford Escape Titanium! They offered fair trade in value and obtained the maximum in Ford rebates. This is my 2nd new car purchase from Kistler and both were positive experiences. I love my new Escape!
Tom Muirhead is always wonderful to work with. Friendly, efficient, caring. He seems more like a close friend than someone I simply bring my car to. This was been my first Ford purchase and my experience with dealing with Tom has been wonderful. Ford is truly lucky to have him. Ive left other places because of the lack of concern they had for me and my car. Tom is doing exactly the right thing to make the customer feel important and cared about.Tom Muirhead is the best!
2015 Mustang GT-I noticed a clunking coming from the underbody of the vehicle. After lifting the vehicle, and checking numerous things, I believe I narrowed it down to the rear differential due to a “clunk” coming from the differential when the wheels are rocked back and forth. I scheduled an appointment with Kistler Ford service department for Monday, May 13th at 8:00am. Upon arrival, the service was very excellent, and I felt very comfortable with leaving my most prized possession in their hands. Chris, which is the gentleman at the front desk gave me a call Monday evening saying that they did not have time to diagnose the noise that I had heard, and that they would get to it first thing in the morning on Tuesday, which is totally understandable and fine by me. Around lunch time, I get a call from Chris stating that the technicians had diagnosed the clunk and narrowed it down to the rear differential which is what I expected. He then stated that they were going to begin tearing it down to find out exactly what was wrong with the differential. A couple ours later, Chris gives me a call and states that the Shop Foreman, Dave, had taken the vehicle for a drive, and noticed that my transmission and rear differential were out of alignment by 1 degree. Chris then states (relaying information from Dave) that the vehicle issues (transmission and differential alignment) are not covered under warranty because of the lowering springs that were put on the vehicle from the previous owner. Now, I know that a vehicle with lowering springs, on an independent rear suspension vehicle, does not change any driveline angles. After further discussion with Chris about what Dave had relayed, Dave had stated that due to the lowering springs on the vehicle, the transmission and rear differential were 1 degree out of alignment. Understanding independent suspension would confirm that this is physically impossible. I stated this to Chris, and he told me that he was just relaying the information to me, from the technician (not Dave?) and that he would have Dave call me in the morning on Wednesday. I then responded to Chris by stating that he would not need to have Dave call me, that he would see me in the morning when they opened. The next day we arrived at the service department. Chris was there and stated that the technician that worked on my vehicle was not yet in, but the Foreman (Dave) would arrive in the next few minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, Dave arrived. Dave opened the conversation with “What seems to be the problem with your vehicle?” seeming that he had no recollection of the days prior. I then stated that I felt that I had a clunk noise coming from the rear differential, which was confirmed by the technician who worked on my vehicle the day prior, according to Chris. Dave then started going into the effect of lowering springs associated with pinion angle, and stated that lowering springs cause all kinds of suspension clunks of which I am not worried about because it is not a suspension clunk, it is a driveline clunk, confirmed by the technician, heard during low speed, low gear shifts (gear N TO 1 TO 2, and N TO R). Dave then stated how the lowering springs would have an effect on the pinion angle, which is not true due to the independent rear suspension. We then walked under the vehicle and differentiated the rear tires by hand and observed that the diff was loose, which is evidence of worn clutch packs in the rear differential. We then showed Dave how the axle bolts to the subframe, and how springs do not affect the pinion angle. We then asked him about his diagnosis from Tuesday stating that the transmission and rear differential were out of alignment, and he stated “I have no idea what you are talking about, I never said that, and when I took your vehicle out for a test drive I could not find anything wrong with it” which is very contradicting to what him, and the technician stated the previous day. Dave also stated that he was the only one that looked at my vehicle? SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY AND DO NOT GO HERE EVER!
Recently my husband and I decided to go down to one car. I sold my MKZ and became the primary driver on his 2010 Mariner. Wed purchased the Mariner used at Kistler about two years ago. I didnt have an appointment-just stopped by to see if someone could help me sync my iPhone. Id tried several times myself but could not get it to sync. Bill Zuccarell came right out found the problem. He then suggested that I make an appointment with him to have a tutorial on the dashboard commands since I was new to driving the car. I was impressed. That is real customer service to offer assistance 2 years after purchase of a used car.
A few weeks ago I went in to look for a new vehicle. I enjoyed my first experience but did not end up buying because I really not sure what I want! I went back this month to look for a SUV or truck instead being I had just finished leasing a RAM 1500. The not a salesmen was ok showed me several vehicle but when it came to test drive some the requested a credit check before allowing me to drive anything! Buy the way I love my new 2015 Silverado!
Clearly a five star experience. No nonsense professional and personable experience. Bobby Jorgensen and Cody Hyden were nothing short a pleasure to work with. Some of the benefits such annual exterior and interior surface care and lifetime engine guarantee are unheard of. On top of all that they were fair on my trade in value. Good job guys base on my experience you will surely have the first shot at my next vehicle purchase. This review may sound a little over the top I assure you it is all true.
I thought Kistler Ford was a wonderful dealership, until I tried to use my extented warranty that I purchached for over $2000 when I bought my car. I was told it was a bumper to bumper warranty, just like the manufacturers warranty. On the policy it says that basically all thing are covered except things considered to be routine maintenance; which I understand....oil changes, brakes, battery. But I had a shock go bad before the manufacturers warranty was up and the dealer replaced it. Then the other side went bad, and I was into the extended warrany; I was told it wasnt covered, that shocks werent part of the coverage only struts. Very disappointed. It is a speecial hock, an air shock, that costs $400 each!
I have bought my last 2 cars at Kistler Ford. While I have loved my cars I must admit that Tom Muirhead is the reason I keep coming back for service. He is friendly, timely and knowledgeable. He is very welcoming each time I come in - even remembering topics we have discussed previously so I never feel like a stranger there. I hope he is valued as an employee because he sure is by me.Thank you, Lu Ann Fouts
I am truly enjoying my new Ford Focus! I thought that stepping down from an F-150 would be difficult, but I was mistaken. This little car is fun to drive and getting 20 more miles to a gallon is not hard to get used to! But a special thank you goes to Christie and Aaron, who helped me through this leasing process.
S.O. bought a car from the Used department and I know what people think You get what you pay for, buyer be aware, blah blah blah. Deal is when a car is put up for sale the dealer does an inspecrion of auto prior to their sales team fighting over who get to put it on the lot... they call it their 100 point inspecrion. Issue is when the inspection is done and posted on paper that the vehicle passes and is good to go, yet when you get it home (3hrs away), take it to the local dealer (was a Mitsubishi) and they tell you the A-arms are shot and rubbing on the frame, tie rods are getting loose and need to be replaced, ball joints are about had it.. it makes you wonder who did the inspection. Not impressed at all with the service or knowledge of the sales department as they should have a little knowledge on what they are trying to sell or just ship it to the auction. Sad I didnt spend the $100, take it right next door to the Mitsubishi dealer (with the sales man in the car as well), and have them give us an true inspection prior to me fixing something that should have been done truthful prior to the check being handed over. Poor business practices guys!!!
Over Kistler & over the certified pre owned fusion I bought from them less then a year ago. Getting out from under this car ASAP & going to a Toyota. Power steering in my fusion went out twice when I was driving & one time I was going over 50 & almost caused an accident. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Want me to pay to get my car with less than 42000 miles on it fixed after the power steering goes out in less than a year after purchasing. Called Ford & they told me power steering is covered in vehicles that have less than 60,000 miles but its dealers discretion to charge for diagnosis & over course they told me there would be a charge. Thanks kistler. Sales Rep that helped me was still great wont name his name because he is not the reason for this review.
3 months after my accident and they caused more damage then the original collision. Car now leaks water from rain and snow and they are slow getting a water test scheduled from their repairs not even caused by the collision. They broke my buttons on my steering wheel while doing repairs then denied. WORK SERVICE EVER. STAY AWAY F-
I was promised that my vehicle would get a new mirror installed during the week that I left it with Kistler. I dropped it off on a Wednesday and picked it up on a Tuesday as agreed. When I picked it up, the car still had the old broken mirror. Nothing had been done, and I never received a call telling me that it was not going to be done in time. Very disappointing first impression and I will not be returning. Now my wife gets to drive without a mirror for yet another week until I can find a better dealer to work with.Very disappointed. A mirror isnt the most difficult to replace and I dont think that asking for a phone call is too much to ask. I dont recommend them.
Well just took my f150 in for an appointment that I made on the phone with a girl gave her the info! That I had a extended warranty and was hat the problem was! Well I get there and after a few minutes of talk to an ideot!! That didnt even know what a slip yoke is!Well we dont take extended warranties anymore do to payments !! Well you dumb as! Why didnt the girl tell me that on the phone when making my appointment! Jackasses! Well taking to another ford dealer they said no problem! Especially when you just had my daughters car in there with same warranty!
Excellent customer serviceWe visited Kistler Ford because we went to Mathews Ford and the staff was unfriendly, pushy, and acted like they didnt care about us. A friend told us about Kistler, so we gave it a shot. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted. It was like we were part of a family. I think just about every staff person made it a point to make sure we didnt need anything. We received everything we wanted and the team worked to make everything we needed possible. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IMPRESSED WITH A CAR DEALERSHIP, UNTIL NOW.
From the moment we walked onto the lot, we were greeted and treated like friends. Ed Wilcox was awesome. He rode along with us in the truck we were interested in.We came back the next day with a vehicle to do a possible trade-in deal. My husband is a car collector, and he knows exactly how to crunch all the numbers so that we get the best and fairest deal. When Ed handed us the paperwork with that bottom number... a HUGE smile came across my face... I looked at my husband and he just smiled and said..Well, I guess you own a truck!! Thank you Kistler and Ed Wilcox for your honest deal and making this happen for me!! I LOVE my 2014 FORD RAPTOR. And to top it all off, as fate would have it, I am also the owner of one of the few remaining vintage keyrings that states IM A KISTLER WHISTLER...And yes, it whistles PERFECTLY!! I can really get my husbands attention now! By the way, he LOVES the truck also ...but hes ready to throw my whistle out the window!! Pam & Del Chupa
Morgan worked with me as I was choosing a new Ford Focus! He was very helpful in every way and made choosing a new vehicle very easy for me! He was very willing to show me all the new features in my car and O am very grateful for all of his help! Thank you very much, Morgan!
Bought a car..experience was a bit odd..handed off from person to person in different departments as the regular person we started with had to leave or the orginal person was new and needed assistance. Price of car seemed fair. Was told it would come with a full tank of gas by one person..Sorry..No..the person who told you that was wrong..so we had only a bit above the E. I guess the biggest issue is we expected a phone call from the salesperson after the sale to say thank you for buying the car from us and how is everything going..
Came in for a scheduled oil change, been sitting here for an hour and a half now. No sign that they are done yet either. I guess I need to go to elsewhere from here on out for my scheduled maintenance!....... Cont.... So going on close to 2 hrs for a scheduled oil changed I approached the service guy and he looks down the service bay from his chair and said they are wrapping up now! Really? cause all I can see is the back end of my car!!!!!
Ask for Jeff! Our second vehicle from him since weve lived in Toledo (3 yrs). He came through in the clutch for us after my 08 Pacifica got totaled out. I had a minimal down payment and not the greatest credit and Jeff went far and beyond what I expected. Just call him MJ! Yea hes that clutch.!
My trucks spark plug ejected out of the head and I was in need of IMMEDIATE service. (I was 215 miles away from home) The gentleman in service help me out. I was in and out on a Friday afternoon. As far as most service departments go, you guys went above and beyond even though you were busy. Thank you!
We ordered trucks during the 2013-2014 model change and therefore there was a delay. After this worked out we did get the trucks. Weve had them for 2 days. Too soon to tell about the trucks yet. Kistler & Eric Pitzen worked hard to please us. Also influencing things was bad winter weather and a massive snow storm. This was nothing under their control.
Customers Come First - BUILT FORD TOUGHClass Act going on at Kistler Ford. From start to finish they handled me with respect and dignity to the highest level. I am proud that I went here and will recommend Kistler Ford to ANYONE. Friendly and exceptionally professional, and when it became time to do the happy dance, they danced right alongside me. Friend/Customer for life.

2022-01-11John Campbell at Yark Ford helped me in leasing my first vehicle and I cannot express how wonderful and easy the entire experience was. Definitely will be returning for any future vehicles I purchase or lease! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

2022-05-19I had a great experience at Yark Ford. The staff was friendly and the service they provided was exceptional. I waited in their lobby, while my car was getting and oil change and it took about an hour. They also mentioned that my car needed a brake job, on the rear wheels. Glad it was found, as I have a vacation scheduled soon. I didnt have time to get in done the same day as the oil change, so they were able to get me in, in the next couple days. Everything was completed guickly and I feel I got a good deal on the work that was done. I highly recommend Yark Ford for any service you might need done.

2022-05-25I purchased my 9th car of my lifetime from Yark Ford in Toledo, OH. I’ve shopped countless dealerships to find vehicles. This was by far the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. John is a stand up guy and a phenomenal communicator! I wouldn’t think twice to make the 7.5 hour journey to do business with this team of great folks again!

2022-06-02Kailey (service advisor) did a great job today. She was very helpful with the service I received and even helped with questions on another vehicle I own. She also made sure I got a free car wash, which was much needed due to all this pollen! Great Job to the service techs as well. Car looked just the way I left it on the inside. 👍👍👍👍👍

2022-04-13I returned to this dealership (now Yark instead of Kistler) mostly because the salesman, Jeff Mathes. He made my first purchase experience easy and I LOVED the car he got me into. Why wouldn’t I come back for my next car? I was NOT disappointed. Jeff was awesome (again), and the finance staff made their part quick & easy too. Highly recommend.

2022-06-26Terrible experience BE CAREFUL BUYING A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. I bought a used Ford Fusion from this dealership back February. I was told the only thing that that was done to the car at the dealership was a change of the brakes and oil. Come to find out they totally repainted this car and only four months later there is rust bubbling up on hood and roof. Paint is chipping off of the mirrors in dime size pieces. Right after I drove it off the lot I realized the charging port for my phone was busted. The second time I drove the car on the express way part of the driver side handle fell off. I just went to turn the air conditioning on for the hundred degree day we just had and it’s busted. I went in to ask Ryan the guy who sold me the car if there was something he could do about the a/c and he said no and pushed me off so he could go talk to a potential customer. They up charge every car they sell $200 for free lifetime car washes and then shut the car wash down for the entire winter. Not to mention it’s the worst car wash I’ve ever seen and does nothing to get your car clean even when it is open. This was a NIGHTMARE experience and I caution anybody thinking about buying a car here. SCAM ARTISTS!

2022-06-28$75 dollar oil change and tire rotation on my F150 ecoboost. I asked them to check the rear end fluid and they saw that I needed a new pinion seal. A quick Google search says the estimated cost is $250-$280 for that job. Yark wanted $527.97 ($130 an hour for labor) So obviously I found someone else to do it, and for $189 and had Yark top off the fluid so that I dont have issues getting it to the next shop. (which they charged me an extra $33 for) So my oil change came out to around $100! Ive been going here for awhile because its convenient being in close proximity to my office. I will gladly be going elsewhere next time...

2022-05-23Excellent service! Dropped my car off, they told me they would get ahold of me within the hour and they did. They told me what was wrong, gave me an estimate and had it fixed within an hour and 1/2. They also sent a video of my tire that they were working on. I will definitely be going back!
