I highly recommend this place . They are always super friendly when I come to the door. The food portion is amazing plus the fries are salted perfectly every time I’ve had them and your food is always hot. I have been going to this place for about three years and it’s always amazing so if you’re looking for a Greek restaurant to go to please go to this one!!!!!

Dude. I dont know what happened to this place. It used to be my favorite place to get carryout close to my house and when my husband suggested we get this tonight I was thrilled. He got a Reuben and I got the chicken bowl. His Reuben was made with wheat bread from a store bought loaf and american cheese. I know this is a Mediterranean place but please put some feta on it for a twist instead of kroger loaf wheat bread. I know they at least sell rye there. My chicken bowl wasnt made with the wonderful rice it used to be with which, in my opinion was perfect, but a yellow rice with little flavor and the chicken had no flavor except the grill. Guys! What happened? The only reason i am not giving 1 star is because the tzatziki sauce is still Amazing and the service is always great. I miss what this place was only a few months ago.
I was in town for a doctors appointment dont know the area well, checked for for greek food. Theres not alot of options from my hometown, tried the Yappy Greek. The gyro was fantastic! The owner was super nice too.
I love this place. Definitely one of the best gyros Ive eaten in the city. I also get the pita chips they are amazing. If you get a chance to try them please do so.

I really enjoyed my gyro, Cajun fries and baklava. I would definitely return. Its not the place for a nice date: order at the counter, Middle Eastern music was loud from a YouTube channel and you order at the counter. But for a casual night out, great food, courteous workers, fair prices. Youll enjoy!
Ran across this tiny restaurant with some great food. I had the lemon soup. Perfectly tart and savory. The gyro was very fresh. The vegetables were crisp. The portions were HUGE. Great service.

Ive been eating here for about 4 years now. And Im no less a fan of this place as I was in the beginning. Fantastic food. Awesome service. Nice atmosphere. I get Yappy Greek about once a month. Ive tried about 1/2 of the menu and I plan on trying the other half also. This is a solid place to get great Greek food.

Absolutely winning! Ive gotten take-out from here many times before, and its always been great. I came in about 15 minutes before closing to sit down and grab a bite, and they were so kind and welcoming. They made me the best gyro Ive ever had and treated me like a queen. Superb!

It was great, I’ve driven past Yappy Greek for years and tried for the 1st time. I love this place, the food was perfect, not too salty, not too greasy, absolutely perfect!

Wehe place is very expensive for what you get, they charged us $2.58 for a tiny side cup of sauce (I mean the size places give you to put ketchup in) they didnt put extra on the gyros as requested either. The cashier doesnt know the right prices. The combos are a rip off you get like 12 fries with your combo and its about $4 extra for the combo and you get a small drink and puny amount of fries. Hands down Happy Greek and Mad Greek are much better restaurants.
Food was average and portions were small for the price.Got a Gyro($2 upgrade to large) and Fire fries ($4.50) .Spent 15 for one person and portions were the size of what I would expect t to be a $10 combo.Arrived 2 minutes after the estimated pickup time for carry out and while there was no one in the resturant, my order had not even been started.Staff was friendly, and food was average. But the logistics, and value were not there. Dont think I will be back

Immediately greeted and seated. The staff was extremely nice and took my order as I sat down. Food was hot and in front of me in minutes. Absolutely delicious and prices are great. Perfect for a lunch break at work. The place itself is very vibrantly colored with so much natural light flowing in the windows. Im very happy with this place. Definitely recommend. 😁

The fries cold and the keftedes dinner is just a gyro literally just a gyro th. I don’t know why it’s pricy?? The portion size was small especially for keftedes dinner plate . Never order from you again 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
I really wanted to give this place alot more stars...the food was delicious..however the place was very dirty. When I walked up to grab my food from the counter I asked for an extra plate to put food on for my 1 yr old. The guy hands me a plate that was very dirty. I handed it back and asked for a clean plate the guy seem really annoyed. After going back to the table and starting to eat I found 2 hairs in my stack of fries. The first one I was like ok I will eat around this but after the second one I couldnt keep eating.
I had a Gyro. All of the food that our party had was very highly recommended. The service was fast and friendly. Our party did order Greek Fries which were not brought out. The food came out very quickly and they were apologetic about it. The owner also apologized and offered to make them quickly to go.The place is busy and popular. Enjoy your meal. This is a very worthy stop if you are nearby.I look forward to seeing more comments.
I have eaten here so many times and get so excited every time I return for more. This is one of my favorite restaurants. It is the epitome of a great family-owned business. The owner is a very sweet guy who is always welcoming and friendly. His food is amazing! I highly recommend the Greek fries, spanikopita, grape leaves, and gyros. My kids love the kebabs. It is all excellent. I havent eaten anything there that I dont like yet. The restaurant itself is charming. I cant speak on the sit-down service since I always take the food home, but the wait time for that is very reasonable. Would give more stars if I could.

I decided to try Yappy Greek for the first time, and I was not disappointed. Very friendly service, and my lunch was amazing. I ordered a large Gryo combo number 2. I would say its enough to feed two people. I also ordered a walnut Baklava, which was also very good. I will be back! 😊
My wife and I were passing through town and wanted something different to eat that we could take to our hotel room. I took a quick cursory view of what was near our hotel. And, we decided on Going to the Greek, Yappy Greek! The food was great( gyros, coconut shrimp and baklava). The place although small was clean. The personnel were friendly and full of good spirits...You could feel it. When we return this way again, we will definitely return to this quaint spot.

I wanted to love their food. The meat was excessively greasy to the point the pita was thin and chewy. The fries were so seasoned I actually threw about 1/2 away - and I LOVE seasoned fries, but they were FAR too spicy and salty. The chocolate cake is what made the 4 star rating. It was deadly good. Nice family owns it.
First timer, ordered to go. About a 5-10 minute wait on the food, so not bad at all. Unfortunately they got my order wrong though. I did not discover this until I got back to eat. The saddest part was it was the baklava ☹️, the food I was looking forward to the most.Food was good though. Bet that walnut baklava tastes delicious, but sadly cannot confirm.

I ordered the $9.99 lunch special and a glass of tap water. When I checked my account I realized they charged me $13.99, I believe this was intentional.The rice seemed to be the same as the chinese place next door and was of poor quality. However, the lamb was very good and the presentation of the plate was beautiful. Their sauce was also fantastic.The cashier applied a lot of pressure trying to upsell me. I did not appreciate this at all. Rarely do I leave bad reviews but I had too on this one. I am 99% certain they purposely overcharged me.

Ny husband and I made an unexpected stop here when the Entertainment app showed us a coupon for the place when we were nearby. We are so glad we stopped! From the moment we walked in, even the kitchen staff acknowledged us and greeted us with smiles. Our server was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The prices were reasonable and the food was fresh. We will definitely come here again.

The owner was closing when we arrived. He opened back up and made us food. Welcomed us to Ohio. We just moved here. Then gave us the most delicious baklava on the house. He had been super friendly. All the food we had gotten was great.

Expected something better, but not a delicious classic greek. Tzaziki was far from being called a greek tzaziki, was very different, not made of greek yogurt, dill, garlic and cucumber....also the rest was ok. It seemed overpriced as well.
A good place for a quick bite to eat. The menu and ordering was easy to understand and had a variety of options available. Service also had a quick turnaround even during a busy lunch hour. Excellent food, especially for the price. The 4 star rating is only for slight cleanliness issues (sticky menu and table).
First time trying out this place. I ordered online and paid, but when I arrived, I was surprised to find out that my order never arrived to the restaurant. HOWEVER, the staff was very pleasant and my order was ready in less than 5 minutes, so I was unbothered by the little mishap.Now, on to the gyros and fries... DELICIOUS! Topped with just the right amount of sauce, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, and red onion.Will definitely be back.

First time ordering from here, unfortunately I never will again, the Spanakopita was very bland, and burnt on one side so that’s what I tasted, my beef shawarma steak was so tough and mostly grizzle, hardly ate any of it

Pretty good Greek food. Got 2 entres, trio of dips & sandwich. The gyro sandwich is excellent & everything else tasted very good. I am dinging them one star because of a couple things missed. Menu states hummus app comes with pita bread. We ordered a trio of dips for the appetizer, expecting pita with the dips, plus I ordered two extra pitas because we like extra pita with our hummus dip. All we got with our order was the two extra pitas I added onto the order, so it seems they did not include any pita bread with the app. If I hadnt ordered extra, I would have gotten no pita with our dip appetizer. That was a bummer. Also, I asked for the lemon sauce that is stated on the menu comes with the salmon dinner on side, but they didnt give us any. I guess this is one of those places that you have to check your order closely before you leave the store with it to make sure they dont forget anything.
Not only do they have excellent food, but they go the extra miles in their delivery service too. I visit Columbus frequently and while placing an order through Yelp had left an old address in the order address fields Even though my actual location was further away, they went the extra miles and delivered quickly. Despite its sketchy exterior, this place boasts some good food at a good price. The gyro was good and the baklava was good. Everything is all around good. Not the best of the best, but will definitely satisfy your Greek food craving.
Im very familiar with geek food and eat it often but let me tell you... This must be the best Ive ever had! Very affordable, nice portion sizes and so good. Probably the best spinach pie Ive ever had!! Added bonus you see the owner working and hes very welcoming
The food was 4 star, but the staff only half wore a mask when talking to customers and took them off when preparing food. I will not return during pandemic, and those concerned for their health during pandemic should avoid here.
Delicious food. I had the chicken shwamera and my husband had the lamb shank. So good we asked the owner to open another restaurant closer to our home near Toledo. The entire staff was friendly. We will definitely be back.

Was on my home quick from my internship and have been eyeing this place for weeks and am sure glad I tried it! I ordered the Mario with a salad. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. Also, the atmosphere of the restaurant really makes it feel like I was back on the Mediterranean. Will definitely be trying before moving home at the end of my internship.

Everything was fresh and exquisite. The hummus was outstanding. I had the chicken Greek salad and rice pudding for dessert and everything literally melted in my mouth. Others are my table chose gyros, wraps and baklava. Everyone left talking about what we would choose on our next visit...

Would give zero if I could. Cant attest to quality of food due to poor service. Had never tried this location before, however they had left a coupon flier with a menu on my door today. Coupon had a free appetizer with order, no exclusions listed. #1 combo was listed as 7.99 on menu delivered to me today as well as well as advertising free delivery. I call to place order for 2 #1s and an order of calamari, also 7.99 on the menu, but supposed to be free. Employee says they cant give away that large of an item. After I mention no price limit listed on coupon, he agrees to give it to me for free, but quotes me almost $28 for a total. They were attempting to charge $8 for a delivery charge. I live less than a mile from the location. After I question this, they inform me they are giving out old menus and the prices have gone up and they no longer do free delivery, despite their employees leaving these menus on doors Today, and they got an attitude about how they were doing me a favor already by giving me the calamari... Ordered from Crazzy Greek on lazelle rd instead, gladly paid the same price, but didnt leave feeling like I was being robbed.

Definitely one of the best Greek/Mediterranean places Ive been to around Columbus. The gyros and hummus are delicious, and Im sure youd be hard-pressed to find a bad thing on the menu. If you go during one of their busier times you might be in a for a small wait on the food, since its a small place that does delivery, to-go, and dining in, but if youre patient and understanding theyll treat you very well.
I’ve been wanting to try this place, so I only ordered the side (lunch size) Greek salad. I wish I would have taken a picture! It was beautiful! Romaine, colored peppers, mixed olives, feta, some fresh herbs, chunks of cucumber and tomatoes, Pepperoncini, Greek salad dressing on the side. Super fresh and very tasty. I will be a repeat customer! 😃

Spicy feta and chicken is full of flavor, served fresh. Very filling! Spanikopita is flaky and melts in your mouth. Definitely will go back when in the area.

A bit over priced (there are other local Greek places that are cheaper) I’ve ordered from there before no problem, but today I had 3 employees including the cook look right at me and not help me at all. After standing there for 10 minutes I left. Probably won’t be back, when an employee lets a sale walk out the door it’s time to move on
Good place to eat for lunch. Cheap prices and good food. For under $10 you can get the lunch special which includes an appetizer, chicken shawarma and a side order. Yes, all of that for under $10 total. The hummus appetizer is very nice and I definitely recommend. The chicken shawarma is decent. BEWARE: Do not order the lentil soup. It is really one of the worst things I have ever tasted.Other than that the music played on the TV was fun and authentic and I will go back again.

Why are you not here?! This place is awesome! The Greek Fish is a delicacy, the gyros are huge and packed with flavor! Even the fries taste amazing; perfectly seasoned, crispy, fresh, and get them greek loaded!
Wait times were unbearable. 20 minutes to get our order in after only getting 2 of our 3 drinks and waiting 5 minutes for the 3rd. Then after eating 15 more minutes went by until getting our ckecks and another 10 to be able to sign them. The meat was good on the gyro and the ingredients were proportioned well. Thats the only reason for a 2nd star. I will not return to this place.

The food is really fantastic and the dining room is Mediterranean blue which has this weird effect of making you feel like youre no longer in Columbus. I love it, whenever I have friends in town I take them to Yappy Greek.

I ordered delivery last night & both the falafel pita & spanakopita were excellent! Ive never had falafel before, but decided to try it. It was SO good. Crispy, well-seasoned, and HUGE! The spanakopita was packed with spinach, crispy, & had great flavor. The delivery was late, but when the driver arrived, he apologized profusely and explained that he is the owner & used his own car when he realized his driver wasnt going to be back from another delivery. The only complaint is that the phone number on Google is wrong; its linked to some daytime cafe.
The first time I had Yappy Greek, I had it delivered and I instantly fell in love with the greek fries and the mario sandwich. The second time I decided to go get my food so I can check out the staff and the cleanliness of the place. OMG...the staff was so friendly and warm. I was greeted with smiles and welcomes. The best part was how clean and cozy the restaurant was. They cook the food right up front for you to see, I seen the chef change his gloves often, and you definitely get your moneys worth. I was sooo impressed.... Im hooked.
Every time we order online our order is almost completely wrong. They never deliver rice, only fries, even if you order rice. Today we order falafel platter with rice and rice pudding. We got fries and baklava. The menu is very vague on a lot of the dishes. This is our 3rd and last time ordering or going there.

After reading all the glowing reviews, I decided to try Yappy Greek tonight. I was in the mood for a gyro and they deliver. Despite getting off to a bad start (delivery/order issues), I can honestly say their gyros are some of the best Ive ever tasted. Thats a big deal because I travel about 100k miles a year and have had gyos all over the country. I can see why my order was missed and mixed up. As good as their food is they had to be honking busy. Besides, Im pretty certain the owner himself delivered my order the second time and thats a class act.Yappy Greek excells at something rarely seen these days - good old fashioned customer service. That alone is worth a good review. But the food...lets just say there arent any leftovers this time and I hurt, but it was sooo good. :)
Yappy Greek is the best Greek food in Columbus by far. The quality is fantastic. Love the banana peppers on the Gyros and the seasoning on the fries is amazing! I always ask for extra and it turns the fries from good to WOW! Also, a great price point on the food!

Yappy Greek has some of the best Mediterranean food in the Columbus area at fantastic prices. Highly recommend getting the Greek fries no matter what you order and finish off with some AMAZING baklava! Warning, those using assistive devices may have a bit of trouble getting in, but man its worth it!
*** Im going to pre-face this negative review by stating that posting negative reviews to social media is not something I make a habit of doing as I like to give the offending establishment a chance to make things right. If they arent willing to correct or acknowledge their mistake, then bad reviews happen so that other people are aware of the risk of being burned.I made on online order at 9:00am for lunch to be delivered to me at my company at 11:30 am (the start of my 30 min lunch). I called at 11:40am when I hadnt yet seen the delivery driver and spoke to a young woman at the restaurant who informed me that they hadnt yet made my order. When I pointed out that I made a lunch order at 9:00am, she said that they dont open until 11. I mentioned that they may want to change their website as it clearly shows at the bottom of the directions page that theyre open from 8am to 8pm Monday thru Friday. I then asked her what they would do to make up for this completely avoidable situation and for my food being late, and she told me that they dont give discounts on Friday so theres nothing she can/will do.When my food did arrive, at 11:58am, leaving me 2 whole mins. to eat, it was so-so/OK. I had the philly cheese steak; Ive had worse, but Ive also had better. At least the delivery driver was sympathetic and offered an apology; much more than the woman I talked to on the phone.All in all, I was extremely disappointed with my first and only experience with this restaurant. There are other Greek themed restaurants in the area that, in my opinion, have much better customer service. I cant really comment on the food as I only had one generic item, but quality of food doesnt matter much to me if the service is less than poor. I recommend spending your $ at a Greek style restaurant that appreciates their customers as this one seems to be hit or miss, especially if youre looking for a delivered lunch.

So, I wasnt sure about this place the first time I ordered delivery from there. But I gotta tell you, its pretty good.Ive stopped in since then too, very clean - well organized and nice people to boot.Definitely going back

Excellent Middle-Eastern/Greek food. My lamb Gyro was packed with meat and was fantastic! We also had Pita Bread (served very hot) and creamy tasty Hummus. The Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolmadaka) were really good, and my wife says her Falafel was out of this world. The home made Baklava was exceptional as well. We got our food to go and took it with us to the Zaftig Brewing Co. a block down the street to eat outside at the picnic tables and to have a beer. Great location for this! Well definitely return.

Humble surroundings but 5 star food. Falafel appetizer was perfect; calimari was tender, maybe a little more on volume would have been nice. Mediterranean chicken with grilled veggies, rice and yogurt dip with pita bread was absolutely delicious.
This people don’t know what they are doing. They makes me wait for 30min saying food is not ready yet. I have order about 45 minutes prior of pick up time online.my lunch break was over by then But later they found out food was already ready and but kept somewhere else. They don’t track orders with name or anything. I will never go in this place again.

2022-08-22I work nearby and decided to try this out. The 2 stars I gave were def for the food. It was good. The other 3 I didn’t give this establishment was for the poor customer service. Picked up my food and went back to the office. Opened it up and it wasn’t what I ordered. Took it back and the person argued with me that it was my own fault for not understanding the menu. Which, doesn’t have any item descriptions online. So I ordered what I thought the item was, and yes my fault but put descriptions. And, don’t argue with customers. You could have simply said “let me make you what you thought you were ordering, Im sorry the menu is a bit confusing.” But instead argued with me whose fault it was and then acted like they were doing me a favor. Nope, I also own my own business and if I have a customer that has something like this happen I do everything I can to make them feel like I have been helpful and made things right. So won’t be going back, even though the food I finally ended up with was good. Look at my mother reviews, I usually give good reviews. So to get a not good one from me or at the very least a middle of the road one there is a problem.

2022-09-13As soon as I took a bite I knew I needed to leave a review. This is one of the best Greek places Ive ate at in Ohio so far. The spanakopita, and baklava are by far my favorite, both are crispy/flakey & taste amazing. The gyro is very good as well. I ordered on doordash & had no issues with delivery.

2021-12-08A great little authentic Greek place! Visited years ago & loved it. Always wanted to get back, but we live out of town, & never had a chance. Finally came back, and we looked at pictures of different Greek restaurants on the web to make sure we had the right one. You wont be disappointed! It looks like a hole in the wall, but its great. Be sure to get some baklava. 👍

2021-06-10Oh.Hell.Yes.If I could give this place six stars I would, what a great find.Simple, unassuming little cafe.Outstanding, real deal food.Lucked out while traveling for business, have been back multiple times since my first visit.Spoke with owner, he learned to cook in the old country from family.The baklava is made from scratch by the grandmother. The lamb shank is marinated for two days before it’s cooked (And sells out in a day, I missed it this trip 😢). Everything is prepared from scratch….. and it shows!Huge portions, good prices, and the food is as good as it gets!Staff super friendly, like visiting your distant relatives.Pay them a visit, you won’t be sorry. Tell them the bald guy who rides bikes sent you 🚴🏾

2022-05-19Don’t order an entree. It’s one piece of bread and rice. The steak was great. But- what???? A sandwich would have been the way to go I thought an entrée would be better and more but the entrée is actually less and it’s bland and even though you get a lot of steak you only get one piece of bread. There are no tomatoes nothing else going on with it it’s just a waste of your money get the sandwich
