This is one of the best, most authentic pet food stores that I go to. The young lady who works there, not sure of her name but she has pretty, wavy dark hair, is VERY knowledgeable. You tell her your dogs issue(s), and she knows what would work for him/her. Were looking at a lawn mower, as well, so a win win from one store!
I took my Craftsman lawnmower there for service because the front wheels would not spin. I was charged $55 at that time for them to look at it. I received a call a few days later that the transmission gears were locked up (which we pretty much new when it was dropped off) and that the part to repair it was no longer available. To make that diagnosis you need to pop off the hubcap and remove the wheel which is held on with 1 bolt. When I went to pick it up, I asked the same service guy if I could have some of my $55 back due to the simplicity of the diagnosis and because of the fact that it was not my decision to not have the work done. NOPE! Non-refundable. I called the next day and spoke with a manager who told the same. I have never been to this establishment and wanted to like it, its a cool place, but I feel like they were more interested in making a quick $55 than doing what in my opinion, was right. $55 for this service is a high price to begin with, many places charge $30, some even inspect at no cost. I will not go back despite living nearby. There are many places just as close that perform these services.
Awesome. Googled them for cat litter that I cant get at feed store in Berea this week. They had identical product and were actually HAPPY to get my business. Didnt even ask me if I needed it carried to my car the 2 employees carried the 2 40 lb bags. Nice place. They will continue to get my business.
Our new riding mower had a defect on one side of it, the mower manufacturer covered the cost of repair as long as we took it to Worcesters. So we did, months later it was ready for pickup after we were told a couple of weeks...all pre-covid. Worcesters stated the other side would probably need replaced as well after we picked up...a couple months later whada you know the other axel seal went bad...why not tell us that why you were under the hood, we would of paid out of pocket..anyway we couldnt wait another summer without a mower, so my husband watched you tube ordered the part online and in 10 minutes fixed.
Terrible. Saw a cargo trailer on their website that fit our needs. Drove an hour, looked at the trailer, looks great. Owner explains unless we pay cash they charge a 3% transaction fee to use a credit card. We have the cash ($2500) in the bank, he wont take a check. Strange. You cant pass on credit card fees to the consumer! Nowhere on the site does it say these are cash prices. Totally shady.
Ive bought a log splitter there and brought it back with a problem with the lever mechanism about a year and a half after purchasing it. Told me they would clean it out. I was skeptical that this would fix it. It didnt. The lever broke again a couple months later so I bought a new lever for $220 and fixed it myself. If this wasnt bad enough they looked up the sales info and told me that my splitter was out of warranty after 1 year. I found the paperwork a short time later and realized I had a 3 year warranty.
Great experience with a small $30 purchase.I inherited a 30 year old chainsaw that kept throwing its chain off of the bar. I knew nothing about what type of chain it had other than it fit a 20 bar.I brought the saw in set it on the counter and the sales person behind the desk took the old chain off, inspected for any worn parts and put a new correct chain on all for the price of a new chain.Outstanding experience.
My wife and I purchased a trailer from Worcesters a couple of months ago and I have to take a moment to praise this store and its friendly and helpful staff. Patrick walked us through bitter cold to show us our options (there were many) and helped us to make a good decision that fit our needs with no pressure. He really took his time with us and we appreciated it. I highly recommend this store!
Great experience over all, prices are comparable to tractor supply but you are supporting local business. Not sure if they were in the process of reorganizing but the feed store was a bit disorganized but luckily the staff is super friendly and helpful. You might not be able to find it yourself but they are quick to help and will even help load up the car without even needing to ask for help. Will return for future feed purchases.
I got a weed wacker that I was expecting them to say we cant fix it (not a brand they carry) but the service department took the challenge head on and beat it.... I definitely will be going back for more service done with them.. finding a reliable small engine service place like them?? Priceless
I went to Lowe’s and Home Depot. 👎. I literally pushed the mower up to the register and they fumbled around for 20 mins and still couldn’t even figure out how to sell it to me so I just walked away. Went to Worcester’s and the man told me about every inch of that mower and when it was delivered they had it running for me and showed me everything again. Love my new mower! They even handle the manufacture warranty themselves if there is ever a problem they will handle it. Great job guys!
Great company thats well priced and very knowledgeable and experienced in outdoor power equipment, and always willing to spend extra time to help every customer. They also have a well-rounded feed store with hard to find items. Theyre stocked with hunting necessities, and high quality feed for your horses, cats, and dogs, and everything in between!
I just recently took my Cub Cadet riding tractor in to have the main drive belt replaced and was very impressed with the fast service and good quality of work. It only took one day for the replacement. Approximately two weeks before this I took my Stihl hedge trimmers in for sharpening and this service work was done quickly and completed when the service department said it would be.I also want to express my sincere appreciation to JIM in the service department who handles all of the incoming service work. Jim is Top Notch and Professional. He is very customer oriented. Thanks!!Rich R.
Go somewhere else! I was shopping for a zero turn mower. I spent about an hour at this place looking for one. The next day I came back to purchase it. It turns out that for some reason the dealer or whoever charges some sort of fee for using a credit card and the retailers just pass it on to the customer. Sort of like a minimum purchase at a gas station however this was a $7000 purchase. I believe the fee was around 4% or somewhere around that. Regardless it was an extra $400. I went in there and asked about waving the fee. I was rudely told no cant do it. Didnt even try to bargain or meet halfway or anything. I gave the salesman one more time and explained your going to lose a customer and Im not coming back. Nothing. Walked out and went to the next closest place that sold that sold that manufacturer zero turn. They had the same one in stock and same price. I asked him what the price was out the door. He then went on to state that the dealer charges a fee for credit card transactions. That fee however was significantly less than worcesters. It was $150. I said that I would think about it. He then almost immediately said that if its the credit card fee thats holding it up he will eat the cost as hes not losing a $7000 sale over it. Sold! Not only did worcesters lose a sale for that zero turn mower but I have no need to ever go back there nor will I recommend it to anyone. Milks Power Equipment in Amherst. Very professional, very knowledgeable, very understanding of what defines customer service!
Took lawn mower in for service twice. Still doesnt work correctly. The first time they said they started it and it ran fine. But I told them it starts sputtering and stalls after it runs for a while. So they obviously didnt listen to me. Took it back in and they said again that they ran it for 30 minutes and it ran fine.. So they cleaned the fuel system and carb for a total of $160 (including deposit). Took it home, cut the front yard fine, went out back and it stalled again and wouldnt start. I would hope a place that REPAIRS lawn mowers would actually be able to diagnose a problem on the first try. So I spent $150 for nothing...money that should have just gone towards a new lawn mower.
Something that a lot of people probably do not know about is that they have a huge pet and garden store. I have been going for so many years but never knew they had that side of the store essentially. Make sure you walk around, its a lot bigger than you would think! The interactions ive had with these people has been enjoyable, they know their products and have been honest as far as im concerned. All in all i am always impressed and pleased to visit here, their prices have always been extremely reasonable, fair and balanced. There customer service has been great, enjoyable, and personal.
They do a really good job taking care of working on equipment and sales Im giving them a one star rating because The person in charge of the service department was not wearing a mask seeing that I am someone in the age of fifties with a lung condition it is a insult not to see grown adults wearing their masks other than that I like the company and I think they do a great job
The business is well known in the community and served generations of families with their friendly and knowledgeable sales and service. I have recommended many people to them. The customer comes first with them. We have purchased equipment from them and will continue through the years. Keep going Worcesters and thank you.
Good selection of implements and Stihl equipment. The service is mediocre at best unless you already know exactly what you were looking for. They offer repair and maintenance but their hourly rates are on the high side. Plenty of other options in the area but if you want the best known Worcesters is it
Very dissatisfied. Spent almost $400 to tune up a large walk behind mower only to have it returned and not working. It would run but would stall every time I engaged the blades. They picked it up and fixed it and when I tried to use it again I had to slide the engage handle forward quick to keep it running, If I did it normal, it would stall. This lasted two weeks and then it wouldnt run when the blades were engaged. I had to get another mechanic to look at it and fix it right. Very sad! It ran better before they tuned it up. Never will use them again.
Love Worcesters..I feed alot of animals from birds to Doe and I can find everything I need at a great price! I buy 40 pounds of Apple bird seed..Wrangler feed..peanuts..cat food..goat food etc Audrey is usually there and makes you feel like family😃 They also have lawn and tractor equipment at great prices. I always feel welcome when I walk in. I drive on lorain from Westlake..right past AutoRama Drive In on the right. Easy parking and helpful with loading. I try to go every week and service is consistantly EXCELLENT! Always worth the drive😃
Stuck-up service department that gouges you on cost.Only finished fixing equipment when told I would give a poor review.Charged$170. to tune up a $260 chain saw???Sales Department has always been very helpful, they even helped me fix my chain saw one time for free.Stay away from their service department
Was one of the first customers to walk in and they all were nice kind even though many stores get frustrated when customers arrive right at opening the parts department worker named Bob was very kind and not to mention helpful. They definitely have my business for life
This is a great family owned business! I have been doing business with worcesters for along time... congratulations on 90 years for servicing thecommunity. The feed department is very impressive with knowledgeable people, Audrey and Donie do a great job and are very personable. Audrey is an in house certified Nutritionist so that is a huge asset. They have expanded a lot in both departments. The recent purchase of my Frontier Horse Trailer was a fantastic experience, they took time to go over the trailer with me and help hook up. 5 stars all day long!
Ive bought so much equipment from this store its tough to keep track of it all. I have a chain saw, leaf blower, brush cutter, leaf vac, lawn mower, two plant sprayers, a shop-vac and now a compact tractor. The sales people are knowledgeable and will try to fit the equipment to your needs, rather than just upsell you to however much money they think youll spend. They have a lot of battery operated lawn equipment, too, if green is your thing.
My shooting club is having a problem getting payment for a lawn tractor that they took in trade when we purchased a new mower from them a year ago. Ive gotten a check is in the mail 3 times when Ive talked to them in person, their very apologetic - but still awaiting a check.
Terrible experience bought a brand new trailer cash and when the side buckled out not even 6 weeks later from a bump in the road. And the warranty with the product was 3 years on framing and a year on everything else. I was told by look the manufacture that the service tech Kevin told them not to warranty it. And when I told Kevin they said this he tells me he is not going there and he will have me removed by the police. The salesman that sold me the enclosed trailer sold it under the false statement that each axle was 7000lbs. When in fact the combine dule axles was 7000lbs. Not 14000. Dont shop here they dont stand by there products, warranties, customers.
Very disappointing experience with their service department. Repair of my lawn mower took over 2 months - repeated calls were of no use, and once I could finally get the guy at the service desk, I got a lot of well the part is ordered and should be here by now and part is shipping this week - they appear to be understaffed in that area, and there was no urgency to getting my repair completed. They were busy so estimated a 1 month turnaround - which I could live with. But 2 months in the middle of the summer is not acceptable.
Charged $48.50 to diagnosis Snowblower. I knew issue was bad gas. Machine 1 year old. Worcesters phones stating problem is bad gas and total to flush lines & replace carburetor $215. I made calls to other Authorized Toro Repair centers in area. Their total estimate for same repair would be $100. When I picked up my Snowblower I was informed there would be a additional charge to put the machine back together. I took it as it was.
Please please please do not spend your hard earned money on anything at this retail store or expect to have anything serviced there to be fixed correctly. I was sold on a Cub Cadet Zero turn riding lawnmower. It was delivered to my house as ready to use. After the first trial run, I realized there wasn’t enough gas in the mower to complete my 1 acre property. Filled the tank and proceeded to mow the lawn when the oil light came on. Now realizing there wasn’t any oil in the mower. Pretty frustrating after being explained that mower would be delivered ready to go with fluids topped off. Not one to complain, I topped off all the fluids. I was able to finish my lawn and worked perfectly. Now six hours used on the mower, as I was riding, I looked behind me and saw the belt laying in the grass. Called Worcester’s explaining what happened and they scheduled to pick the mower up in a week. They called and explained that the belt needed to be replaced because I was cutting grass that was too tall and once a belt comes off it’s better to replace it at a total of $119.00 and they will have it back in a week. Mower is back cutting away, however felt extremely sluggish as if it’s not receiving enough fuel. Called Worcester’s to schedule them to pick the mower up again to look at it. Received a call from the service manager and he had explained there was to much grass on the deck and it’s preventing air flow to the engine. I was the charged another $ 50 for the service. Cutting the grass at its highest setting, blowing off the deck after every use, use the hose on the deck with the adapter, and finally parking in the shed out of the elements. Still the same sluggish performance and stalling out. Third time to schedule the mower to be picked up to figure out what’s happening. This time the mower was there for over three weeks in the spring while the grass is growing higher and higher. I called to speak to the service manager for an update and found out he is on vacation as well as the head mechanic working on the mower. When he was due back, I made the drive up to speak to him personally in order to find out the status of the mower now being told it’s dirty gas that I was using. I have a brand new gas tank with a filter on it, the cub cadet has a filter on the gas tank, and the fuel is derived right from the gas station. I paid another $150 for the service and an oil change never to go back to them again for anything. In my business travels I run into a guy who is a rep for cub cadet and ask him what do I do with this 6k paper weight I have at my house explaining the advice given to me at Worcester’s. He explained to me that everything Worcester’s did to this mower was completely wrong. The belt flying off was not fault cutting grass too tall, they never tighten the belt accordingly. The cub cadet rep took the mower back to their own shop and after numerous attempts to get this thing running properly, he had realized the engine was bad from the manufacturer from the beginning. Replaced the engine and returned the mower back. I had dealt with Worcester’s for the first three years of this mowers life and will never even look at the place when I drive by everyday as I only live a mile away. We even bought feed for our chickens at one point only to open the package to find mold and bugs. These people never responded to an email when my dealings first started with them concerning my mower. As I am also in the retail world dealing with over 1000 people a month times three locations I know how word of mouth travels and also rely on good reviews. It took me over four years of frustrations with Worcester’s I order to write this review but it needs to be known if there is ever a time to purchase or service anything you have pertaining to this location, please save your money and frustrations as there are better locations that truly care about the customers they serve
So far this co has been extremely disappointing. Went there thinking I would at least get professional and fair service. In my opinion they are gouging the heck out of people on sales and service. They always charge top dollar for theyre products (their price always equals the MSRP) and gouge the heck out of you in their incompetent service dept. They got me for a lot of money but done with them now.
I went to Worcester to get a mower and a trimmer to get repaired. They could not fix either and charged me a fee for both. Each item only needed one part replaced. Another shop easily fixed both items for less than the diagnostic fee from Worcester. This feels like a scam. They should stand by their word and do honest work. At the very least they should refund the diagnostic fee if it can actually be fixed. Dont take your equipment here or trust their diagnosis.
Had to return 3 times to get the correct parts ordered for our leaf bagger attachment. One part was misbagged, and a couple were omitted. Took an hour each time for the sales people to figure out which parts were needed, and it was still wrong. Gave me a 10% discount on the last two parts, which were screws (big deal). Should have given them to me for the inconvenience. I was made to feel like this was all my fault, too, suggesting that I told them I didnt need all the screws and that I already picked some parts up (that they werent really missing from the order).

2022-06-08Came in to check out their Zero-Turn mowers. We were immediately helped by Donna, who was super friendly and knowledgeable about all their products! She helped us determine which model was the best fit for us and let us test drive it. I am so glad we did not buy from Home Depot or Lowes as this place has much better customer service!

2022-05-03Went to worcesters looking for a zero turn mower and what a great selection for not only commercial mowers, but also home owner mowers as well. I told the sales team my desires and they were more than happy to accommodate me. They also were more than helpful offering multiple financing options to fit my needs. I will return there for ally equipment needs in the future.

2022-02-24Inquired about a mower, they said they have it ordered but could not guarantee the price. I offered to either put a deposit in or pay for it in full up front and they said they still could not lock in the price, it might go up. So to be clear, they ordered it at one price, Im willing to pay that price in full, right now and they said depending on demand that price may change. How is that possible? I guess they are into price gouging their customers.

2022-05-09Always a great place to go for repairs and parts for anything. Very knowledgeable staff prefer them over the big box stores anytime.

2022-02-01My brand new Airens Classic 24” snowblower was improperly assembled by Lowes and would not engage the transmission drive. Aieren’s warranty service referred me to Worcester’s.Jim in service was fantastic in arranging pick up and delivery. He diagnosed the problem and repaired the machine next day. He coordinated the warranty coverage with headquarters as well. His colleague Adam who picked up the unit and delivered gave me a crash course on operating the blower. They even covered the pickup and delivery.Lesson to self avoid big box stores for major equipment. I couldn’t be more pleased with Worcester’s.

2022-01-28Went to look at enclosed trailers have great selection. Browsed a little in store. Looked like many food options for dogs and farm animals. Lots of outdoor power equipment for the yard.

2019-08-01Great, local feed store. Prices are slightly above rural king and tractor supply. I’m knocking one star because the young kid at the counter didn’t offer to help me load 200 pounds of food ( I was unfortunately in a suit) and he wasn’t busy. If the old lady is ther, she makes him help, but they won’t without supervision. Not a big deal. Good store.

2022-02-27Nice employees and very helpful at finding what you need. Although seemed a bit over priced, at least for the part I was looking for.
