DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I would rather sleep in my car. From the dead roaches under the sink to the clogged tub. Ever other wood spring I’ve been to has never charged my card until I arrived, but this one needs money so bad and they know the rooms are terrible. On top of that they charge a $250 smoking fee when the whole hotel smells like smoke. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Also the front desk isn’t any help so don’t even bother.
The room was filthy and infested with roaches unfortunately I do not have the ability to upload the photos on this platform, On top of that these rooms are nonrefundable. The manager did not show any empathy and accused us of lying even though I showed her the video and pictures, Book at your own risk
Front staff are super nice. Unfortunately I came here because of an apartment renovation next door to me was going to cut into my sleeping hours. I work night shift. I got to the hotel hoping I was going to get rest for once and that doesnt look like tgat will happen. Unless youre a light sleeper, like myself, you probably wont get any sleep. I have a room near the road and can hear the highway. This is not a good place to sleep if youre a nightshift worker. Youre other best bet is earplugs.
The room was okay but the management was very frustrating and rude. We stayed one night and then the next morning about 40 minutes before check out time I hear someone at the door yelling front desk. I yell back to ask what they want and they insist that I have to come to the door. Turns out they just wanted to find out if I was staying another night so they could tell housekeeping. I wasnt dressed and was not prepared to be answering the door. Also, I had already told them the night before that I would only be staying one night. When I told the front desk my concerns about being forced to answer the door 40 minutes before checkout they were not at all apologetic. Would NOT stay there again.
Clean rooms and property. Excellent customer service. Polite and friendly staff. Thank you so very much for helping to make my stay simple an stress free. My boxer Logan enjoyed his stay also and Thank you for the outside space available and the poop bags / disposal containers being convenient well maintained. Thank you very much.
Honestly general manager needs fired.1) We reported roaches not long after arriving yet ultimately we got blamed for them when we were killing them daily and asking them to spray. 2) general manager yelled at a good friend of mine regarding someone watching her kids when she does not have kids and upon being told that never apologized. 3) our car was stolen from very important things WHILE we were in between unloading it and informed office once we were having things replaced. 4) always came in rooms when we were not there and actually was told we needed to leave last Wednesday WHILE i was in the hospital for a narcolepsy study. 5) was told we would be informed when our check and Id replacement cards would come in so we could pick them up only to be told upon calling when they arrived yesterday that we cannot pick them up and they would be sent back ( thats all our money and identification and ebt card that was stolen and replaced) . FAMILIES PLEASE LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. I cannot stress this enough. General manager targets families and when told to leave we couldnt even get all our stuff we were given till 1pm and my kids dad was having to pack it all by himself bc i was in hospital all day and the night before. Woodsprings if you truly care about your guests please replace management at this location.
My stay for 3/27/21 was great the customer service was awesome. 3/28/27 I decided to extend my stay so I made another reservation thru Hotels.com to get my points. Well the assistant GM Manager told me I never paid was very rude and didn’t was to see my confirmation number or anything. I was very confused. She then told me she had the right to turn down service and told me to leave. My bf goes to show her his phone where they took the money off his card to pay for the room and she lied on me and said I threatened her. My thing is if I threatened her than why didn’t she follow protocol and call the police? I will be contacting cooperate and whoever over corporate that will handle this matter.
Dont ever ever I repeat ever stay here management is terrible a lady named Krystal shes never there and when she was she was extremely rude and didnt care she has a bad reputation with most guest if you ask around nobody likes her I will be getting ahold of the better business bureau and the local news company this is rediculous and something will be done I have enough people behind me to bring this to notice
Tara kyrie and crystal were absolutely amazing. They are always very kind and are quick to get any of you needs handled. Very quite and homelike. I slept like a baby. Everything is very clean and up kept. The room was amazing. Linen smelled good. Everything you expect out of a 5 star hotel. I would recommend them every time for any hotel needs. I know I will be
This is a clean and secure alternative to traditional apartment rentals. Its a little more expensive but everything is included. They have a great turn down service. Yeah I asked the lady at the front desk if she would have dinner with me. She said, No way, youre a bum!Seriously, if your new to town and you need a quick place to stay for a few months you cant do better. The off street parking is like hitting the lottery in Dayton.
Woodspring Suites Dayton South is by far the best in the area! I have been staying here for an extended stay, and have had the best experience! The hotel is clean, quiet, safe and the staff is amazing! They always go the extra mile to make sure I am comfortable and feel like I am a valued guest. Crystal, Tara, Carrie and Jinnifer are so friendly and always go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience! The rooms are clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Maintenance is handled by Donnie, who like the front desk staff, is friendly, helpful and quick to handle any issues that may arise. I have even witnessed him help a guest with a car issue! The location is very convenient, as pretty much anything you need is super close. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance as well! The big bonus is that the rates are so affordable! I highly recommend this hotel whether it be for 1 night, or an extended stay!
The price was great but there was a very strong and unpleasant barn-like odor that was present throughout the hotel and my room. The room had not been cleaned properly before my arrival ; I found jam on the desk top. I liked the price but doubt Id put up with the smell again. Im certain there are better options available. This place charges for wi-fi if you want anything other than basic service for one device.
This property has beg bugs. I killed three on the bed as I was checking out and mentioned it to the front desk as I was leaving. Room 312 to be exact. Also left the blood and remaining of bugs on the bed. No refund was issued because they so called checked and didnt find any. Please DO NOT STAY HERE
I absolutely loved my stay here. We were here for work and Crystal and Jennifer could not be more accommodating. The rooms were spacious and very clean! I like to cook when I’m on the road (we spend 4-5 months per year on the road so home cooked meals are a delicacy!) and the kitchenettes were perfect. Again, highly recommend this location and have no complaints!!
Stayed for over a year!!! Getting ready to move. Masks are not enfirced or worn by tenants. Staff only behind the desk. Manager befriended us then became towards the end very very rude. Very unprofessional and incaring staff. Very little air circulation in room cause dry dirty air. Alot of very questionable people now arriving daily. Pot smell, ciggarette smell. People drinking in parking lot every night. Does not feel safe. Its a shame . was nice.. But going back downhill fast.
The rooms are very nice but a little loud. I also dont love that the window does seem securely covered. But other than that, this place is quite nice. They are clean and well kept. The appliance dont seem over used, and they function well. The bathroom is spacious and the beds are comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
When i began my stay at Woodspring Suites it was great. Especially after coming from a hotel where i had been bitten by bedbugs. Everyone was very nice and the hotel was clean. I began my stay in July. Everything continued to be good until the general manager changed. When this happened, the hotel went downhill. Our room was supposed to be cleaned every other week, and it never was after management changed. The stair areas were never swept. My husband actually swept it because he was tired of walking through the mess to get to our room. After staying in this hotel for 5 months, the manager put me out because i was late on my payment and when i tried to pay refused. She would not give me a reason why i was being put out just kept saying i knew why. I wouldnt recommend this hotel because of the management here. The prior manager was much better and ran the hotel like it was supposed to be ran. I am in totally disbelief that i was treated like this after staying so long.
Floors are sticky, and they only clean the rooms every two weeks. Asia, one of the employees there, yelled at my girlfriend and slammed the shutters closed at the front desk in front of our 6-year-old daughter, simply because she asked for a blanket because they didn’t have any clean ones that were dry. Stay away!
Super clean hotel close to everything in Dayton (especially South Dayton, I-75, and the UD and Miami Valley Hospital area) and a great price. We got the top floor, our request, so you dont hear noise above you at night. I have stayed here for my work as well. My days are so long at work that I cant benefit from frills and amenities anyways so why pay for them? I just want a nice, quiet, clean room with a bathtub and Im happy! Everything was really very good! This kind of hotel was a new experience but we greatly appreciated being able to have my sisters little dog. The staff was friendly & accommodating. The only negative was the lighting way too harsh, glaring. We borrowed a couple of small lamps from a niece which made that issue go away. Next time we visit family in Dayton well use WoodSpring Suites, again. Thank you for an enjoyable experience! Oh, my name is Irene Mauer. Not sure how it got misspelled. It was clean, and quite. The bed was very uncomfortable was way to hard, and i dont like the fact if you want clean towels or bedding you have to pay $1 something. You can was the items yourself but it costs $2.00 to was and $2.00 to dry, kind of expensive if you ask me.
Unorganized, beds are uncomfortable, walls are thin (you hear any conversation in the next room, outside or in the hall), maintenance is slow, if they showing up at all. Cheap if booked thru 3rd party.Update, I prepaid for 2 weeks but stayed only one (job finished sooner). But my money was not refunded for the week I didnt stay. Be aware that any money spend at this location, is lost! Pay a little extra and stay somewhere else would be my advise!
The place looked nice enough when first arriving. We was booked for a week but only stayed 2 days. When we noticed roaches coming out it was time to go. Not only do you not get a refund we had to pay extra to stay somewhere else. Would not recommend and will never stay here again!
Unfriendly Weekend Customer Service Desk Attendant. However, Monday-Friday is pretty nice. Reservations are not guaranteed. And they promise not to charge your card for reservations, but they do anyways. Customer Service/ Customer relations has no say in what they do. Cleaning Service is excellent, however you only get service every 14 days. You must pay for toilet tissue, trash bags and for them to clean and replace their own towel weekly. The price is very good for what you get. (Extended Stays) Very nice kitchen. Full Refrigerator. Microwave and stove tops. Large kitchen sink. Lots of storage area in kitchen. New looking facility. Very clean. Awesome area. No pool or gym. Excellent parking. Pet friendly for additional fee. Most the Staff is friendly and considerate, except for one guy on the weekend. Guest are friendly. Most guest just go to work and sleep at night. Mostly quiet. Peaceful environment. Id definitely stay again!!!👍🏼
Woke up to cockroaches in the am. One on sons bed and one on my shoe by desk by the TV. Called amd asked for manager was told in at 9. Called at 9 said call next day shell be there then. Called today and was told terminex checked some rooms and didnt find anything. I have proof and pictures and they seemed very uninterested in fixing their wrong. Said it wont be like that next time.
This place is horrible! They have a stinch in the place that does not smell pleasant, the blankets and pillows all smell disgusting, then I look theres a bug crawling on the door, theres people above stomping over your head, then they dont even give you enough towels or washcloths. Wont be back!!
It is a very nice hotel. Came to just get away for a night with my Fiance and son. There was an issue about 2 in the morning, how ever that is not managements fault. It was just a law official, harassing a tenant, from what has been said and from what I heard that night. Some professional reviewers think it is a bad place but I do not see any reason as to why that is? But the staff and management is very nice and I have never been treated so well. My son loved it and my Fiance can not stop talking about how nice it is. They deserve a lot more credit than what they are given. This place is a 5 out of 5. Would give 10 out of 5 if I could. 😊
Great hotel and great price! As a retired Army Officer, we have traveled all around the world and this is one of the cleanest and well maintained hotel weve ever stayed in. The full size refrigerator, microwave and free WiFi made our extended stay a pleasure. The tile floors in the hallways and rooms are far more preferred than the questionably-clean carpet in most hotels. Blow dryers, shampoo and soap was not provided, but we always bring our own anyway. The staff was very professional and courteous, and the hotel is located just off I-75 and within a short walk to restaurants, theaters, and entertainment. I have already recommended WoodSpring Suites to several friends traveling to Dayton in the future, especially those looking for a pet friendly hotel. [Review collected by TrustYou]
Place has gone to the DOGS since Jennifer is not running the store! Cleanliness, level of service & certain smart mouth employees are not at level of standard! So came in last night after staying here for basically off & on 1 year at 8:30 pm from work. Was told I was to move out immediately by 3rd shift smart mouth employee. My bill was paid in full as gas been for 1 year. AMAZING THING WAS even though their internet & credit card services have been consistently down for last 1 month & I have been charged late fees due to their incapable abilities. They had no problem running my card yesterday! CORPORATE YOU NEED TO EVALUATE THIS LOCATION & MANAGEMENT!
My wife and I were in town recently and stayed here. We travel a lot and she is pregnant and requires a ridiculous amount of pillows to sleep comfortably. Ive come to dread asking for extra pillows because most places act like its an inconvenience. Not this place! The night auditor David went out of his way to find extra pillows so that she would be comfortable and didnt act the least bit inconvenienced by my asking. We really appreciated that. Our room and the common areas were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the entrance of the hotel smelled like fresh cut lemons. David even gave us good suggestions of things to do while we were in town to keep us entertained and was really knowledgeable about the area. Its all of these little things that make a stay pleasurable and memorable for us. Well be sure to book here in the future, should we find ourselves in town again.
I have had so many problems here. I had one of their employees mess our rooms up on our cards more than once and then tried to kick me out made me pack all my things. Me and my two toddlers while husband was at work. Very rude. Theres no one at the desk most the time. Theres alot of issues at this hotel. Only thing I can say is the manager Jennifer worked everything out and is very professional with her job.
Clean, safe, and affordable, the bed wasnt very comfortable and the pillows were very thin. If you are looking for a traditional hotel experience youll be disappointed, if you are looking for a furnished apartment setting youll be extremely pleased. Value Place doesnt provide any basis amenities like toilet paper or soap. All rooms come with a kitchen, but you must pay extra for dishes, youre also required to to take your own trash out. They also provide you with a fee schedule of what you will be charged for damages; everything from $1000 for a smoke detector all the way down to $1 for a plastic hanger.
I should have done more research prior to booking this hotel. It’s no wonder people have complained to the better business bureau and every other major complaint site out there. This hotel is not worth the hassle. Do you know anyone that uses the same towels and sheets for 2 weeks? I don’t, but at this hotel you get housekeeping (maybe) every other week and you can exchange your towels and sheets, but you have to pay!! The staff is incredibly rude and short with you, they act as though you’re wasting their time. Don’t stay here.
My original review was blind sided by the fact it was only affecting me, after getting in contact with the hotel manager, she was very helpful in getting in touch with my card services and helping get my refund that DAY!!! But they still had booking issues and is something I feel should have not happened in the first place but for how nice the manager was I recant my original review and give them a 2 star
Horrible! Do NOT make reservations here unless you want to show up to your reservation cancelled!!! And no notification of it being cancelled to boot! I called and placed a reservation for my parents so my father could go see his dying mother and when they arrived, the hotel had decided to cancel their reservation and give the room to someone else. So they were hours away from home and trying to hunt down another hotel in a location they are unfamiliar with while having to stress over my nana. Totally unprofessional!
Bed was extremely uncomfortable. AC unit was extremely noisy. Front desk staff would take their time getting to us to help. We had to wait by the front for them to come down and replace our key that stopped working. Room was not as clean as one would hope. Awful experience.
Good location. Easy access to I 75. Clean. Very basic. Bring your own everything for the kitchen. Pots, dishes, cups, utensils. Kitchen is nice but empty. If youre staying more than one night, be aware that you are expected to take care of your own trash - theres a dumpster out back.
Very nice and clean. I have had a lovely stay here. Only one thing upset me. Actually it hurt my feelings. Yesterday afternoon I was reciting verses from the Bible. I admit I was raising my voice a little. I wanted to here how I would sound and practice a little before I stepped outside and recited the verses . About two minutes into it someone knocked at my door. I stopped and answered. It was hotel management. They said I was going to have to stop or I would be asked to leave the property. I dont understand.
Convenient location near shopping, grocery stores, movie theaters, and restaurants. Suites are nice, clean, has full sized refrigerator and a two burner cooking area. Great for families! One guy, counter worker, can be a little rude, but overall, worth it for extended stays. Thanks!
I live in this hotel. Its a wonderful hotel. I read a review about there being a prostitution and drug ring busted here? Thats not what happened. The police that busted in, racially profiled a black man who had done nothing wrong because a stolen car was found in the parking lot. I wanted to say that the review was comepletely false. I had a conversation with one of the workers and they explained what happened. There are no prostitution rings or drugs in this hotel that were busted Sunday night. Just police officers wrongly accusing a black man who had nothing to do with the situation at hand. Everyone in this hotel is very nice and the hospitality here is unmatchable, by FAR! Such a great hotel doesnt deserve to be wrongfully reviewed.
Clean, safe, affordable, comfortable, brand new with a great staff.. Comfortable bed and bedding. Full kitchens with frig, microwave and stove top. Beautiful rooms with hardwood flooring. 24-hour Guest Laundry and Vending. Perfect for an extended stay. Right off the highway and close to dozens of restaurants and shopping. Dont Pass This One Up!!! BEST HOTEL IN TOWN.
First I never had any bad experience with any Hotel for over twenty nine years since I came to United State of America. This Hotel Wood spring Suite Dayton South is the one make it terrible experience . I was book thru Expedia for ten day from 06/04/2019 to 06/15/2019. When I checked in on 06/04/2019 I told the the clerk that probably I will stay here for the rest of the month, and please make a notice to extended my room when the time come, and find me a room on the first floor_ they said only room 307 left. I was working late every night, get back to hotel around midnight or later. About a week later, just happen I saw a Manager_ and I told her the same thing_ I booked thru Expedia but I paid cash in Hotel_ make a notice to extended my room when the time come. Two day later , she called and move me to room 108. Two day later, another clerk called and kick me out, because my time is done, I told the clerk that I need to talked to manager, I try to talk to her, and find the way to make it happen, she replied: The hotel was book full, and no more room available. I am at work at the time, got to drive more then twenty minutes to get back to the Hotel and move out. While on the truck , I booked on line of Expedia and got the same Hotel again with better deal. I got to move back to the hotel. The clerk gave me room 108 _ because of my work late at night , so I booked for fourteen day from 06/15/ 2019 to 06/29/2019, price of $39 per night. I cant believed that manager lied, and dont want long time customer like her_ she need to working in another industrial not for Hotel business. On Friday 06/21/2019, my job was finished in Ohio, so I came to check out. The clerk_ this time is a man told me he can not check me out on today , because I booked with Expedia, he got to check me out on 06/29/2019, and told me you need to come back and talk to Manager on Monday 06/24/2019, our hotel has a policy NO REFUND POLICY .Monday 06/24/2019 I did call the manager and talked to her, she denied to refund my money for nine days because NO REFUND POLICY. Later, I contact the Expedia and talked to the agent about my problem, and never heard again. This is entrapment, the hotel set people up, because they never told me that Hotel got that kind of policy when I checked in, and I never had any problem like this in another Wood-spring in Fort-worth or Richardson where I been stayed for the last two months before that.If they told me from the time I checked in , I will never give them my long time business like that. This happened will put Wood spring in a bad Hotel name in public. I will use with all of my knowledge to fight with this Hotel till the end of my life.
You think you have a reservation, THINK agian. We booked a room abs when we went into the room there were people already inside staring there. We waited another 20 minutes until after the desk clerk explaining that they over booked and now someone that night will not have a place to stay. Trying to give us the quilt trip. Then last bit not least and this falls on me. I paid for a ton with two beds and all they had was one. It was a $20 difference and I never recieved that difference back. I will not be back there. Id rather much sleep out of my car before going there agian.
The manager was ungodly rude and as stuck up as possible. My husbands service dog was disrespected and threatened by other tenants, and then was antogonized by the manager and her housekeeping. Then when BED BUGS were seen and brought to the managers attention, instead of evaluating it she dismissed me and said Ill do what I want with my hotel. She turned a blind eye, to being infested. Some pest control she claimed to have. DO NOT GO. They are nasty people, who would rather save a penny than admit they ha e a pest issue and solve it. Disgusting.
The rooms are beautiful. The staff are never around when you need them. Instead of having you pay your internet bill as part of the room cost or online, they tell you that you need to pay and secretly lock you out of your room when you leave for dinner until you do. Then you get to wait a half an hour for someone to actually show up at the front desk so you can pay and get back in your room. Ive stayed in four Dayton hotels this summer and this one had the worst service overall. Spend the extra $10 a night and go to Suburban Extended Stay or Microtel.
Love the room. But, A week into my stay I get a loud knock on my door. Im accused of opening the window past the stop bar on the window. He was very rude and demanded to come in. Wrong room so he left. The next day early morning we was still sleeping. I get another knock on my door. I am accused again by a lady that said she was the GM and again about the window and we proved it was not us. Why they didnt write down who had window open the first time Im not sure. A few hours later another knock on our door were now accused of having a cat and we do and we paid for our cat to be there. She could have looked in the computer and seen the deposit placed for our animals. The kitchen was nice but has no utensils or oven. They offer to sell you utensils at a high cost. Doller tree down the road will sell you the same thing at a 90%.decrease. the stove is only a two burner and there so close together you cant use a standard size skillet. A 6 inch skillet needed.Outside there is a pet resort. Expect constant barking from 7 am to 10 pm.Not so Pet friendly room, floors are slick. Beds are so high up even a large dog can get hurt. My boxer/ lab jumped down from bed and did the splits hurting his hips. Pet friendly grassy lot provided for your pets restroom time provided with bags and disposal.Been here two weeks and over all its private from random visitors (except rude management) its cheeper, it has an elevator and a luggage cart.. that others dont provide.I will come back if needed. Another Hotel that is down the road is $25 a night more expensive has no elevator and no service cart. But they have a stove and a large kitchen with table for the family. This hotel Verses the other one. The elevator and service cart rule
The burners didnt work. The microwave was crappy. They never cleaned the room even though they are supposed to every two weeks. The service is HORRIBLE. The staff lied about the pet policies and the taxes towards an extra week. They never explained that a 5th week would need to be paid for the tax to be applied for the 6th week. The washers ruined my clothes. And the dryers stole my money. Internet was the WORST. Kept disconnecting from PC. The water in the shower wasnt hot enough. Also when I first moved in the shower curtains were dirty so I had them replaced. The toilet had difficulty flushing. THEY DONT DO REFUNDS OR CREDIT. Even if you paid a months stay had been there a day and wasnt pleased.
Definitely no free WiFi. Even they have “basic”plan. WiFi speed is ultra slow like i still in 2004. Even i paid $12.99 for premium weekly plan. WiFi speed is slow as same to it was “basic” , don’t judge me, I had test the speed by online speed checking. Wifi is a joke, i have to use my cellular usage for my entire stay!Smoking sensor alarms were crazy. I don’t know why it was alarming for almost 1hour at midnight. Everyone were just ran out to get the hell out of here.I called front desk. Definitely no answers. It was buzzering nearly ten times in 3days .You can go anywhere else that they offer you definitely free high speed internet access but here:NO , come on! It’s 2020 !!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Kept getting charged a bunch of different fees, kept getting locked out of my room. Would pay for a week at a time and kept getting locked out of my room after less than a week. Overnight guy is ALWAYS rude, even though he literally only works overnight. Was supposed to move out of state, had to stay last minute due to a death ij the family. Bathroom sink has been clogged since day one, toilet kept clogging because it doesn’t refill with water. Don’t bother in general.
On July 28, my family and I arrived to Detroit after a 13 hour international flight. We drove to Dayton where I had booked at this hotel through Expedia and I had a confirmation number. When we arrived there was no one at the counter but they had a sign to call an internal number (500). We called several times and nobody picked up. After about 10-15 min the receptionist came and asked immediately about last name - no welcome, no sorry about yoir wait, nothing. He asked for my ID and then said “oh wait, we are oversold!!” I Thought he was joking. Nobody called us, nobody emailed. It was frustrating because we were supposed to return our rented car at 5:30 pm and it was already 4:40. The receptionist said he was sorry eventually but what could we do with his “sorry”. Expedia ended up booking us another room somehere else but it took like an hour with customer service. I will never ever book again with this hotel because they still had rooms available online and they refused to check us in into rooms with single beds. He said u need a prior reservation for that!!! We had an infant with us and they did not care. Very unprofessional.
Great value! Just check bed and pre clean, i found long black hair in my bed yuck, so we washed our sheets. And it was urine on the toilet seat. Other than that its ok for the price. The management sucks and needs to adjust her attitude! We smell pot on third floor smh and its a few druggies here as well, but their everywhere. This is going on my third week here, and my room is yet to be cleaned. Thank God my husband has OCD. Only a week or two to go, we are out of here.
We had a terrible stay here. They messed up the reservation we had booked while trying to check in. We were double charged the full 15 day stay 2 days in (thankfully refunded), were then told we had to pay for the 15th day again because they used that money for the non-existent linen service and internet fees instead of tacking then on at the end when we left. They failed to aknowledge our early check out after all this and charged another day even though there were notes made in their system (for which Im still awaiting a refund for). Disappointed with the uncomfortable beds, terrible floors (could feel others walking in same room and hear every movement from person above us), slow internet (even the high speed option was slow, was better off using my cell data, also dealt with constant disconnects), front desk staff rarely present (had to use the lobby phone to dial 500 to get ahold of someone, and had no answer several times).
Booking our reservations over the phone, I was explained about the amenities that the room with kitchenette offered. Upon arrival, we were explained that no cookware or utensils were provided but could be purchased for $29.99!! We went to Wal-Mart on the other side of the Miamisburg Mall to purchase 4 items of cookware all for less than $6. A major inconvenience since we were in town for a wedding. There is a dog kennel across the street and we heard the barking dogs early in the morning waking us up, not something you want when you need to be well rested for a wedding. On Sunday the morning of our check-out, we were asleep and startled and disturbed at 9am by loud knocking on the door. It was the Front Desk manager, asking a pointless question to see if we were extending our reservations. Check-out is at 11am and we were counting on getting enough rest the day after a wedding and before an 8 hour drive but this was ruined. I was so upset and had never been bothered in any hotel room Ive stayed early in the morning before a check-out time. The elevator and our hallway smelled pungently like marijuana both days of our stay. The room was clean and nice, but lacking the supplies they were trying to sell including NO HAND SOAP IN THE BATHROOM, and there is no maid service, only once a week if you stay long enough.
Clean, safe, affordable, comfortable, great staff.. Comfortable bed and bedding. Full kitchens with refrigerator, microwave and stove top. Beautiful rooms with hardwood flooring. 24-hour Guest Laundry and Vending. Perfect for an extended stay. Right off the highway and close to dozens of restaurants and shopping. BEST HOTEL YET.
I am going the say what i am sure the employees that work under these two lying incompetent managers really think of them. When a customer checks into a hotel they are on personal business. They do not come to the hotel for( PMS). It is not my fault or the fault of anyone else that you dont have a man. Or that real men dont do(PMS). Chris at the front desk should be the Woodsprings Manager at that location. Not the (PMS) crew, because he does managements job, believe the negative reviews because they are true. I was there five weeks with a guy stomping on the floor above the room i was in #126, and management didnt try to move the guy until i told them i was leaving this week. It continued to happen, so im sure they had one of they drinking buddies go to the room above the one i was in and stomp on the floor at a.m. in the morning and late at night. I left them the ear plugs as a gift and one penny for the tip. They are racist, but i am from the real South and i know how to deal with that with intelligence. Especially want to be southerners. It was like watching a comedy show. I just laughed and gave them southern hospitality for unprofessionalism. Chris at the check-in is a five star employee who works at a (0) star location. The star you get is because they gave it to you, and dont even try to save face because your garbage. It is a shame i had to tell them i was going to call Corporate before they checked me out correctly i guess the second time because the (PMS) crew hate to see a real man go. I was just using the place to take care of some business. I never did a monthly because that was never the plan from day one. Good day ladies. See how much of a gentleman i am.
Terrible. I travel 40 weeks out of the year for the last 10 years and Ive never had such a terrible experience till now. First my truck was broken into in broad daylight with serious damage. No cameras outside. After being here for two weeks and having paid in full for a month the price I was sold the room for, the GM Jennifer informs me that her staff has been poorly trained and although I have the reciept with the dates and prices that I must pay hundreds more and they are kicking me out a week early......again, this is because her staff was poorly trained. Upon contacting customer service I was told that my rate was changing and I wasnt charged, given, or recieve the correct price because they must be trying to work with me as if I didnt have enough money to pay! I could pay for a year up front in cash! Trying to charge a customer for their mistakes smh. Ive filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. I will warn any traveler to stay far away from this hotel.
Worst hotel i have ever stayed at. I complained about roaches and they treated me as if I made the entire story up. I captured one and brought it to their attention and they refused to do anything about it. I guess they are used to this happening all the time. Also the staff was very rude and unprofessional.
Capable of make the most frugal travelers cringe. This relatively new hotel has rates so low it already provides refuge to some of the areas drug addicts. The man at the front desk was rather abrasive tending to me and my inquiries. Generally he gave off negative vibe. As another guest mentioned there is a damage fee list for things as minute as a coat hanger and no toiletries provided. Basically its cheap for a reason.
Good safe place to stay. No thrills. Just a room with four walls, TV, bathroom, microwave, and a fridge. Seems that most guests or employees smoke. Sometimes you can smell smoke in the halls or stairs from people who just went out or smoked right next to the doors. Wifi is not free.
Its not a great experience - Avoid after hour check-in - I waited from 10:30 till 11:00pm for some one to open front desk - room was decent but I had to give 3 stars since the amenities in room were not refilled. Easy to find a better stay and overall experience at same price.
Verty unhappy! I would give less than 1 Star if possible. After making a reservation with my credit card and driving the 5 hours my room was unavailable. I was told the room is underconstruction. I talked with a guest on the property and she said she was told the same thing.
Stayed here with my wife for 2 months, as I transferred into the area because of work. Great price $800ish a month for a single bed room; with a kitchen sink, two burner stovetop, and a full-size refrigerator (no mini fridge here)Took 1 month to find a house, and another to make it nice in ready. And in that time Value Place and its staff made it a pleasant and a true value compared to other long term hotels or motels.
Manager extremely rude, pounded on door at 10:30am after I had been working all night demanding entry over dubious reason (to change air conditioner filter). After I politely refused, she talked down to me and said she would call the police. Have entire encounter on tape, will be suing this terrible motel.
BEWARE...I made a resv with Expedia for this location and when I a called I was told we had been booked in a full hotel. Also the desk clerk said his name was Chris (African American tall slim guy) also said the my resv was not paid and that I would have to give him my CC to run it again. Seems that he was allowing friends n fam in b4 anyone due to the tornado that hit the area the day b4... That is if a room became available. As I stood there and tried to make sense of it all, he let a guy get a key to a room without Id, filling out contract are signing anything. I spoke to Expedia about this and they stated my room was paid as they took my card# etc. They also told me to report this to their HQ..They did refund me. I plan to proceed to HQ on this. Also I have now spoken to the head mang. she confirmed that my room was indeed already paid for..hmmm
Worst hotel Ive ever stayed at in my life. Super rude terrible service and they only clean one time every 2 weeks and out room was still very dirty. If you live in filth youll fit right in here. Go somewhere else save yourself the stress. So many issues with this place.
We stayed there during our move ftom NJ. Yhe sraff was friendly, the room we immaculate, and the service was exceptional when there were issues. Its all interior entrances with key cards entrances ao youll feel secure. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying out here for a night or longer.
It was average could be a little better for price and quieter it has a laundry facility but no other amenities like a fitness room plain but has a small stove top and full size refrigerator just very plain and housekeeping could be better but management did address my concerns about some issues brought to her attention and was polite
Front desk is rude do not give you the option to check in early even when welling to pay extra telling me housekeeping needs to eat breakfast first then clean I traveled from Houston as a traveling nurse to work Covid facility here in Dayton Ohio if you are a front line worker in Dayton Ohio do not go there and not to mention this was my second time spending money to stay there weekly.
I absolutely love this hotel the beds are so nice it is absolutely clean it has its own refrigerator its got it on stove top and a microwave the bathtub is absolutely just fantastic its the first time Ive actually been able to lay out and be comfortable my son absolutely loves it you get free internet the cable is free everyone here has been really really nice the vending machines here or kind of expensive but its expected but totally worth it I cannot wait to come back here again absolutely love it 5 stars all the way I definitely recommend coming to this hotel
...I was in Dayton this past Fall for three mos and I decided to stay at WoodSpring Suites - mainly because of the price.... but I found it to be like new, clean and very pleasant .. the staff was excellent and my room, although small, was efficient for my needs... [Review collected by TrustYou]
Beware: Very racist institution!!This isn’t something I just throw around; the staff there went out of there way to make me feel unwelcome & uncomfortableI felt like I had stepped into a time wrap, they were so backward & surlyIf this were a bygone era, this establishment would definitely NOT make it into the The Green Book
Found 5 cockroaches since the 2nd night stay brought it to the attention of the manager the hotel name Jinnifer the manager stated that she wouldnt switch us rooms or accommodate us for this inconvenience...also wouldnt refund us for our stay... when we brought it to her attention she decided to dismiss us and call the Miamisburg police to have a escorted off the property...DONT STAY PROPERTY HAS ROACHES AND PREJUDICES ***BEWARE***
This place treated me horrible because I didnt have a I D present on me at the moment only after I paid a weeks rent they Called to police on me and made me leave and also they kept my rent that I just had paid a hour before this happened they wouldnt let me get all my things its absolutely horrible there not to mention the day before their was a overdose in the hallway almost right by door so I wouldnt recommend this place the manager lady was horrible to me so stay at your own risk
THIS PLACE IS REALLY DANGEROUS FOR FAMILIES. THERE WERE MULTIPLE PROSTITUTION CASES WERE CAUGHT THERE AND MOST DRUG DEALERS LIVE THERE. THE MANAGER JENNIFER KNOW ABOUT A LO OF CASES BUT SHE WILL NEVER FIGHT IT OR CALL THE POLICE I WISH I FIND ANSWER FOR THAT. I DID SPOKE WITH HER BEFORE ABOUT A SPECIFIC ROOM, I WAS TRESPASS TO MENTION THAT. I REALLY WISH THE MANAGEMENT WOULD INVESTIGATE THAT. I HAVE INFORMATION I WOULD LOVE TO SHARE WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS EAR TO LISTEN

2022-05-27The building never stops moving and Im sensitive to extreme motion. I had to abandon ship and flee to my car where I slept. The person above us never stopped walking non stop back and forth, I think theyre on drugs or something idk. There was no toilet paper and only two towels for 3 guest and the room reads of dirty old cat litter. I have nothing good to say about this place other than the office lady was nice. I would not and I repeat would not recommend this place to anyone. Its the worse place Ive ever stayed.

2022-03-05Last night was first time coming back in for a couple years. Its not clean and nice as it use to be. I walked into a room with no trash cans, counter or tables hadnt been wiped, the floors were filthy, Im glad I carry disinfectant and wipes every where I go,, holes in the wall, that it looks like they slapped putty on but failed at the attempt to fix it or just never came back to finish. Either that or they werent supposed to be renting the room out until it was fixed but they did to accommodate my reservation since it was already booked and paid for. The lady at front desk was nice and the location are now about the only good things I can say about it now, its nothing as it use to be.

2021-12-22Stayed for a year while I was trying to find an apartment... First half of the year was fine until it got warmer and roaches started showing up. Also be aware that staff will enter room for random inspections without a 24 hour notice sometimes. Generally didnt have problems other than the bugs though... Terminix showed up and only treated the kitchen area from what Im aware of... Wouldnt recommend for a long term stay but would say its decent enough for a cheapish stay for someone who is between houses or on business.

2022-06-21This place is a complete rip off. I stayed there for a few months and paid the same time each week and when they switched management they started charging me late fees and couldn’t properly explain why, they refused to refund my money and twice I paid extra to extend my week an extra day so that this alleged “late fee” would not happen again. Each week my payment kept getting more expensive and they wouldn’t explain why. I believe when I moved in over there I was paying 330$ a week and the last time they gave me a late fee it went from 400$ a week to me paying 588$ just for 8 days so I wouldn’t get another late fee. I checked out a few days later because my work was transferring me to a new town and they are refusing to pay me for those days I paid up ahead. I spend a lot of money in these extended stay hotels each year cause I travel for work and I’ll be pursuing further compensation through the court system soon.

2022-04-10Poor customer service. They are very rude at the front desk. Rooms are not clean. Never get clean towels or sheets. Price is a joke for the size of the room. Better off going somewhere else. Worst experience ever

2022-06-23I was supposed to stay last weekend but I caught COVID.I tried to cancel, but they did have a section to email them at least two days in advance. I did everything they asked, but they didnt reply to my email, and they still charged me for a night. Stay away from places like This

2022-04-24Front desk lady was nice but other than that this place is horrible. The halls smell really bad like smoke and the rooms are terrible. The beds are cheap metal frames that make so much noise at any movement.

2022-06-07First and foremost, a huge shout-out for Mrs. Faye.My associate and I arrived in the middle of the night. Our 11 hour drive turned into a 16 hour nightmare. We had booked another hotel representing a beautiful suite at a great price. To our surprise. It was unacceptable. In a panic at 8am we reached out to woodspring suites.By 9am Mrs. Faye had us in our beautiful accomodations.Just in time for my 10am meeting.Once again.Thank you Mrs. Faye and woodspring suites.

2021-12-01Very disappointing stay.. The preview for this place makes you think your staying in an up to date Motel. I picked standard room with two king beds. Boy was I wrong. I got a bed on a metal frame with two tiny pillows. Very unhappy about my stay. Will never go back. Noisy and nothing worked in the room. Spend the extra few dollars and stay elsewhere.
