I had a VERY delayed flight because of weather issues, and had to pay a $60+ Uber surge price to get to this hotel. I had already paid the day before, and had a confirmation number. I get to the hotel, and I’m unable to check in because the office hours are only until 8pm which is the first time I’ve ever seen this. I called the after hours number listed, and a man met me downstairs to try to check me in. He informed me that my room had been checked out to another person, because they “tried to contact me” about my room cancellation after not being able to show up on time due to a flight. I had no email, voicemail, or any missed calls detailing my room cancellation. I can’t get another room, because they are 100% booked full. I had to walk down to the holiday inn down the street at 130am in a light rain with 2 bags, and beg them to give me a room because they were also “full.” They finally gave me one, and as soon as I put my things down in my room and sit down, the sprinkler smoke alarm system gas been going off for over 45 minutes now. This is one of the worst days of my life, and I just wanted a hotel to go to that I PAID FOR with a confirmation. I’ve never had an issue of not getting a room I paid for with any hotel I’ve ever stayed at for 13 years. Don’t ever stay here.Someone please contact me for a resolution and refund ASAP.
I showed up to check in and was told by the front desk that my reservation was canceled. She said they would’ve called me to tell me but I didn’t get any calls. She also said that my card wouldn’t have been charged, but it was and when I showed her, she smirked and shrugged her shoulders. I really don’t get how they can cancel a reservation without notifying me, charge me, and then lie to my face about all of it. So now they have my money and I have no place to stay.
Id heard good things about this chain, some people swear by it as a great, cheap place to stay, so maybe my expectations were too high. At over $90 after tax, it was more than I wanted to spend on a room, and there were some minor things I didnt like. The TV was a bit small, there were no hand towels, and there was some machinery on the other side of my wall that turned on every half hour or so. That being said, it had a lot of amenities that would make a long-term stay pleasant. The full-size fridge and cooktops, along with ample counter space, would make preparing food easy, even though the TV was small, there were a lot of channels, and the folks at the front desk were some of the friendliest Ive ever encountered at a hotel.
This place is gross. The problem is that from the outside and the pictures online it makes you believe otherwise. Elevator smells like tobacco and marijuana smoke. The room smells musty and gross. Nothing is clean. The refrigerator wasnt even plugged in. Ive stayed in some questionable areas before but this one is different. I went and bought fabric disinfectant for the beds, clorox disinfectant wipes for the hard surfaces, hand sanitizer, and antibacterial soap. They dont even have simple amenities like shampoo and conditioner for the shower. Too many things wrong here to list. I cant stress enough that this place is disgustingly dirty. Please dont stay here. There are roaches! I have pictures to prove it.
I was in town for a funeral and was told they had no room available for me when I got there. I had reserved 2 days before. I was also told they had tried all day to contact me which was BS. I stayed at a Woodsprings in GA recently and had an incredible experience so needless to say I was highly disappointed ☹️. Thank god Baymont had a room available up the road.
All I have to say is that the staff in this extended stay hotel is the bombdiggity! These folks have been so accommodating to our needs while we have been here. Friendliest staff EVER! Gotta give a shout out to Dan, the maintenance man! He is the best! As are Vanessa, Mary, and Alissa! And the housekeeping staff are on point! If you need anything, all you gotta do is ask. Even if the front desk is closed, there are the resident staff on the property who will accommodate to your necessary situation. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to live but need short-term, or even longer, housing. Never felt safer or more like family members any where else! Woodspring Suites of Columbus Southeast, YOU GUYS ROCK! Thank you for your hospitality! Kerp up the good work after we are gone. We will miss you all! Hugs and kisses from your favorite eccentric family!
Place is amazing, u have all ethnicities and different personalities... the employees are incredibly understanding and reasonable!! I would live here if i was getting my house rennovated or any other time i needed a hotel!! They are always my first Choice!! Their prices are reasonable and esp. For the rooms having a stove a normal size refrigerator like at home and a microwave u cant beat it!!!
Walked in people smoking weed in the hallways. Reserved a room a well in advance for non smoking. Drove in from out of state. Room was full and all that was left was smoking rooms. I heard screaming from the halls, people laying on the ground outside the hotel, trash cans on property were just mounds of dirt. People grilling and drinking in the parking lot. This all happened just walking from my car to the counter at 2 am. I did not stay. As the lady behind the counter walked up with a cigarette lit.
Absolutely no amenities at all for the high price. Kitchenette, but no utensils or cooking gear. Do they expect extended stay travelers to bring their own? The place has a very odd smell, and they only clean every 2 weeks - again, for the price, I would expect at least weekly. They give you meagre towels, and the only free items are garbage bags and 1 ply toilet tissue. I would not recommend. for the price, you can do better. The only good thing was the staff, they were all very nice.
Know what youre getting. We were stay for the weekend and found this reasonably priced and liked that it had a kitchen in the room and was convenient just off the highway. It was clean and quiet, she even picked a room for us with no one above. Staff was friendly and said most people stay a week or more there and brought their own stuff. Im guessing this is not for travelers, but rather relocation/transitional or temporary housing. We found that the kitchen had a full size refrigerator, 2 burner stove, and microwave, ample cabinet space and a small cutting board. Thats it, no dishes, pots, pans, utensils, cups, coffee pot, nothing (said had them for purchase at office when asked). 2 bath towels, 2 wash clothes, bath mat, TP, 1 tiny bar of soap in the bathroom. No shampoo, etc., no tissues, no hand towel. Double bed that was pretty uncomfortable, we would have asked for 2 beds had we known it wasnt a queen or king.
Room was not clean at all!Floors had trash on it as soon as I walked in the room.Shower head kept falling offFridge was dirtyNickel on the floor from previous guessDirty sheetsElevator smelled like smokeCandy wrapper left in drawerJust pay the extra 20 and stay at Holiday Inn next door!Upon entering the customer service was amazing but the room was scary!Stayed for one night and I wouldnt even recommend it for one night!
Our room was apparently leaking from the bathroom into the room below us. That would be their problem to fix but they made it ours and asked that we leave by checkout or they would have the police remove us( we were told at 9:15am) They also stated that we had to much traffic which the one and only person that came to our room was my brother and that only happened bc he provided my husband a ride to and from work. We had never been in a situation to be waiting for our home to be ready with no time left at our current residence so I was told this would be a great place to be for the 3 weeks we needed but it couldnt make it that far. We always paid. Never asked for anything. There was absolutely no justification for this to happen and when we requested to speak to a manager we were denied and reminded how much time we had left to pack. Terrible!
Asked to switch rooms to the forth floor due to people above us always making noise all hours of the night. Staff wouldn’t move our room. Tammy the front desk lady, is amazing. Room was supposed to be clean every two weeks only got done twice. Never got cleaned towels or shower curtain. [Review collected by TrustYou]
Though they just became pet friendly, they arent. Their own staff will claim that you dont pick up after your pet when you do. The front office lady has a huge attitude. They dont clean the rooms regularly, and you have to pay to get fresh towels or sheets. Not worth it!
When we rented the room we were told they would clean once a week, only to find out that it would be every 2 weeks. The sound from the room above us was so loud it sounded like they were in the room with us, just walking and moving around would wake you from a dead sleep. Didnt like dealing with the children of the employees at the front desk, very disruptive and unprofessional situation. [Review collected by TrustYou]
This is the perfect place to stay if youre needing cheap long-term housing for a job or if youre a long hauler and dont want to sleep in the back of your tractor. Other than that stay away and just go to the holiday inn next door.I knew it wasnt going to be good when we walked in and staff had on regular street clothes and not a standardized outfit (even Dollar General employees have an outfit). They were very friendly and helpful though. The basic set up gives the feel of a college dorm: fake (and very cheap) wood floors, long empty hallways, vending machines only on the first floor. The room was very scant. It had a desk, full-size refrigerator, half stove (two burners only) and microwave...no utensils or cooking supplies. The chairs were like the plastic ones in a waiting area and the bed was basically a glorified day bed with a horrible bumpy mattress. The bathroom seemed clean but one towel looked like someone used it to dry their hands. The elevator smelled like cigarettes. Kids ran around because they lived there. When I rode down the the lobby to check out. I shared the elevator with a drunk guy and a woman who was out of it.We left and got a room next door. Staff was friendly during checkout. We booked for two nights but had to eat the cost of one night.... I dont regret leaving. Its not horrible. Just not the place to stay unless you really have to. Definitely not the place for a weekend away with bae.
Would not recommend this place unless it is your last resort. I have been here for 4 weeks and there have been 3 days we have not had any water. I do not blame it on them, but being without water for 12 or more hours at a time in a hotel, I would expect either a partial credit or some water bottles provided. I am paying $1,300 a month to live here after all. I think we are just going to have to move. I even tried reaching out to corporate on Facebook and they didnt care either...if they dont care about people, they dont need MY money!
Loved the location for our little getaway! Room was very clean, and overall the staff was extremely friendly. No Bugs!!! On the other hand, some of the residents staying in the hotel were very rude. Expected a 5 star hotel experience for $99 a night! [Review collected by TrustYou]
You can hear a bit too much of your neighbors at times, but to the woodsprings defense they give you a number to call in such a case and I havent bothered. The room is nice and theres a stove, microwave, and full size fridge. However to get dishes and silverware is super expensive so I walked to dollar store and went plastic and paper making the stove useless. For drivers there seems to be a lot of major roads close by. For walkers like me, there is a nice grocery store and a public library within a 5 minute walk.Remember its an extended stay so no breakfast or night desk, but again they give you a number to call after hours if there is any trouble.Laundry on the first floor, two bucks per wash, another two for dryers. No change machine so being quarters.Overall next time I come back to town Im most likely to stay here. Hope this helps.
While the rooms were nice, the bed sheets where only changed once in 12 weeks. I had to change them myself the rest of the time (the bed was made every other week). The people beside me and above me obviously did not work because they were up thumping, dragging, and playing loud music until 3 and 4am which makes it extremely difficult for the rest to sleep whom have to be up at 5:30am. The staff was very polite to me. [Review collected by TrustYou]
Room itself was ok..hair in the bed and window was greasy. I’ve stayed a few times during my business travels to Columbus downtown area and I enjoy staying outside of the city itself. Past stays were better. I’ve watched the employees themself switch. Use to a very different hotel in the past. My last stay was enough to say I may be relocating my hotel for future travels. To come down for towels and listen to the conversations staff has about the next staff member and to see some of the sketchy stuff I’ve been seeing... cops have been here several times for car and vehicle break Ins. Company vehicles are getting busted windows. The insanity!!! Most days when I came in there is a toddler or a baby in the front desk area with staff. I don’t have time to wait for babies to switch hands to get my things taken care of. I work the entire stay and sleep and shower at my room. And back to work but hang on, I have to wait for the staff to get off of personal calls to get what I need. Or the weekends and some evenings, I’m questioning if I’m at the hotel or a beauty shop. There’s a front desk girl constantly doing hair in the weekends. I’m sure it’s a side job. But how unprofessional! Men behind the desk in the evening time.. that aren’t employees. And then on the last day I checked out. I witnessed the blonde girl Vanessa having a conversation with a man that came to the front desk to get a child which I’m pretty sure lives in the hotel room with her, but about drugs. This same man was outside by the dumpster when taking my trash out to leave the room smoking marijuana with other sketchy looking guests. This isn’t where you want to stay! Not unless the hood is where it’s at!!!
This place is so well taken care of. Vanessa was the one who helped me with all of my questions over the phone. Also she was there when i went to check in. She is not only helpful but very polite and seems to really enjoy her job which makes your experience so much better. She definitely went above and beyond for not only me but the other people who were there also. I give her a 10 star rating.
The rooms are very nice. I was there visiting a friend who has been staying there for a couple weeks and he seems to like the hotel very much. The room that i visited had a refrigerator and a small kitchenette area as well as a desk. It seemed to have plenty of space and enough room to live comfortably if staying there for more than just a couple nights.
Wonderful staff. We stayed 1 night. Full Kitchen depends on ur definition. Building was constructed with the cheap materials but it did the trick. No lobby, no pool. Within walking distance of food but feels a bit like the end of the road. Nearby Interstate tho.Very nice people there.
We went to Columbus to get out of town for the night. When we arrived at the hotel the girl at the service desk did not even acknowledge us for at least 15 minutes. Then when she finally waited on us she was not friendly. I told my husband that I did not care for the service. Then we took our stuff up to our room. Our comforter was as thin as a sheet and had tears in it. We figured it would only be for one night so we didn’t complain about it. We called an Uber to pick us up and take us out since we were not from Columbus. We got back to our room at almost 1 am. We were getting ready to settle in and the tv would not turn on so my husband called the number provided and was told the maintenance guy would be in at 8 am. So we were not happy about that. Well then moments later the fire alarm went off waking the other patrons. We then decided to get our stuff and drive home and hour and a half away. My husband called the manager explaining our dissatisfaction she basically told him too bad the money is non refundable. With that being said we would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We did not have a pleasant experience.
Thus far the stay has been pleasant. The room was clean, modern. Small bed could be bigger. You cant control the other patrons or those who may live here. But Ive not experienced any issues or harassment thus far. My stay is not complete though. My only complaints thus far: *Shower water wouldnt drain, fast enough had to buy draino. *HDMI on the 32in TV signal was inconsistent and didnt work but one time *I saw a baby roach. I dont keep food or trash in the room. But with bugs it usually is your neighbor their habits etc. So idk I dont live here. But theres no sign of infestations but when you have people living here with different types of clean this is what you get...
The accommodation were OK....nothing great. Place had a smell of being recently fumigated. The bathroom smelled of smoke. Very noise both during the day and evening. I found a furnished apartment that was cheaper and had more to the room than at Value Place. I wont use them again.....Ill pay extra and stay with an IHG place.
Checked in @ 530pm, left to meet up with sister in law and ordered food, returned around 9pm, called to get extra towels since there was only 2 washcloths and 2 body towels, before I could ask the? For additional towels and wash cloth i was told the office closed @ 8pm. We werent told the office closed at that time so needlessly to say we did not get the extra towels. No stars from me.
I thought for the money it was over priced. Also no only 1 bar of soap 1 cup no shampoo or conditioner also no Kleenex. I used a towel to wipe off the bedspread to sleep on it because when I pulled the sheet back there was several strands of hair that was discussing. [Review collected by TrustYou]
If I could give a Zero, I would. We sold our house and waiting to our new house to be ready, so we needed 3 weeks to stay at the hotel with my 2 toddlers. No complain with our room but the guest above would start moving bed and dresser at 5:00 Am. We complain several times to the front desk and even call the corporate with no help. The last time I talk to the front desk agent, her response was They are constructions workers and they been here for a while, no one has complain abt them, so when you guys are checking out. I was speechless and just walk out away from her at that point. This has been the worst experience, have been having headaches everything single morning from lack of sleep, we cant wait for our house to be ready and just move out of this place. Talk about discrimination, this is the place to be. My first review ever about anything in my life
This has been the most wasteful, irritable, unacceptable stay ever. I booked this damn room for a week for $400+. Now in a hotel house keepers or front desk clerks are supposed to accommodate their guests with what they need. The rooms come with 2 rags and 2 towels why when i need a extra rag or towel these people tell me theres a fee for towels, rags, sheets and covers. What the hell ! Why should I have to buy something that should be given if i need and they dont give toothbrush and toothpaste. Basically you have to bring everything you need your whole bedroom with you, the people above is soo loud running around and jumping and bumping. I shouldnt have to keep coming out of my pockets spending and spending already bought the damn room, and shouldnt be getting uncomfortable or irritated with the people above me. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone and would give it a ZERO if I could.
Friendly staff, rooms ok, NO SHAMPOO OR BODY SOAP IN THE BATHROOM which isnt a big deal just be prepared lol youre also allowed to smoke in some of the rooms so that was a nice surprise. Walls are pretty thick, but the beds were pretty flimsy and our floor was severely warped. Wed stay again for a longer period to get our moneys worth
I had a great experience with Renea at the front desk and Alissa the manager. There was some confusion about how I paid on Expedia during the booking and how their process works. Renea and Alissa were very patient and understanding, and even called Expedia to work out MY misunderstanding. The rooms are nice and clean as well. For sure going to get more of my business! Thanks Ladies!
Pretty cheap with furnishings to match that price! Evaluation is for a single double bed on the 2nd floor for an extended stay.PROS:Reduced rates for participating local companies; No bed bugs or critters of any kind seen;Accommodating staff (privacy, friendliness, knowledge, service);New management has remodeled;New flat screen TVs;Laundry facility on premises;Hard floors (no dirty hotel carpet, smart!);Height of bed allowed for storage underneath;Kitchenette [2 burners, sink, full refrigerator, cabinets (no oven)];Exterior doors require a key card;Parking lot is well kept;Close to freeway, public library, restaurants and stores.CONS:Wifi is not free but signal strength is okay;Squeaky double bed size (no queen for 2 people) - dont roll off bed!;Extra firm mattress and rough sheets (I bring sheets on long trips now);Wobbly table and 2 hard plastic chairs; No blackout curtains ($10 horizontal blinds);Room smells like a new tire store upon opening the door (from new linoleum flooring);3rd floor is a smokers paradise and a death trap for asthma;Disreputable guests - According to a friend upstairs, there are drug dealers on the 3rd floor that deliver door-to-door (seems the background check is make believe);Guests urinating in parking lot;Guests opening unlocked tailgates for a seat;Key cards reset automatically regardless of advance payments;I suggest parking within line of sight to your rooms window, dont leave valuables in the room, keep your door fully locked and dont answer it for anyone except hotel personnel (call front desk if needed to verify i.d.). No one came into our room during our stay or bothered us directly.
My husband has been here a few months, I come when my daughter is off... I think they should put families on one end , dopes in the middle, and workers at other end. We seem to get under people thats on something banging furniture on the floor all night, one side is a quite family, other side had people banging the wall through the night... been quiet lately on that side..
I have stayed in many hotels with the extened stay concept and this is BY FAR the best one. Bed bugs? must not have been on this staffs watch. Alyssa (manager) goes above n beyond to make my stay comfortable. I wish i knew the other girls name but shes a shorter african american woman who REPEATEDLY extends a positive attitude towards the residents AND is on the call around the clock. One time my lightbulb burnt out and within literally five minutes the maintenance man was at my door. I have yet to have an issue and trust me, im a consumer finance major... i rate and review with the best. Customer service and comfort are just the standard here....
Racist as hell.I went to jail and the dopefiend housekeeper Jessica along with her raggedy teeth having friend Kim in room 311 stole my property...Thanks Leigh in 322 for that info. Also, the so called manager Tim plays favoritism with his buddies owing weeks and even months worth of rent, borrowed money from Leigh to pick up his son from the airport and still has a guy there in 212 who punched holes in the bathroom walls. There are people still there after the 4 months my service dog and I have been gone that their rooms are over crowded which is a fire hazzard and Im going to make sure that the fire marshall pays them a visit along with corporate office
I paid to stay for a week and I work third shift. The day before check out, they started calling the room and hounding us how about if we were checking out the next day or not. Then check out morning comes and it is still early and I just got off of work when they decided to call again. Mind you, I was just working all night and was planning on taking a nap before having to check out of the room that I paid for it until 11 a.m. then they proceeded to call again as well as knock on the door just to ask if I was checking out when I told them multiple times that I was. So I was quite annoyed
So my little brothers under 10 were loud ONE night and a read head worker who lives in the hotel and is very ghetto decited to be mature and have her 6 kids Run In The Hallway SCREAMING And Pounding On Our Door At 11 pm Every night On A School Night. this is our only option. We Reported Her And The Workers Will Not Do Nothing.Do Not Come Here Kids Run In The Hallways And Scream Very Late At Night. The Second Thing Is That The People Above Me Stomp All Night And I Called There Room One Day To Complain And A Ghetto Young Girl Started Cussing Me Out So I Called The Office And They Did Nothing. there Is Only One Nice Young Worker Who Gave Easter Baskets To Me And My Brothers And She Was Really Nice. Never Stay Here.
Vanessa, is amazing very caring hard working and very helpful pretty lady and sweet spirit and most of all professional I recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a cheap affordable weekly rate it’s very clean and they aim to please every accommodations you may have I love this hotel in a awesome area in Groveport it’s simply amazing
THIS PLACE HAS BED BUG DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!and that comes from house keeping, (which they will not clean those rooms because of it)it has a smell as soon as step into the hallways, kids are running up and down the hallways in and out the doors, playing in the elevator. I personal witness the security bieng yeld at by managment for telling the kids to stop.JUST A DIRTY PLACE!!!!!!
This is the worst hotel I have ever been in, I went out to buy and when I returned to buy, my key did not open my door and I had to call and I was asked to wait 30 minutes to fix the key, and last but not least the ac would turn off and it was taught every 10 minutes making a very loud noise also the elevator was ruined in short I could not sleep at all this hotel is the worst
Bad place you make a reservation and when you arrive to check they tell you that you do not have a reservation and when you show them the email and the reservation number they tell you that they tried to notify you that the reservation had been canceled and that they did not have any number to call you or email are some liars hotel is useless do not go there pork you will have to go looking for another place

2022-06-13Stayed here for couple months happy to be in my new place . 3rd331 floor you hear sounds/bangs/drama all through the night and day . Keep calling for complaints make your voice heard! . . one time police knocking on the door for someone else drama i was sleep . kids running everywhere. ppl standing in the hallways looking for nothing good. if you try to switch to a different room price resets your rate no matter how long you’ve stayed. bugs coming from the bathroom . things on the website that says works sometimes will not you will still gett charged . the maintenance man takes forever might not show up until the next day . they do not shove or put salt down hotel sidewalks . in winter . my last day here the front office lady personally came up to my room and i was told her i was checking out last check around the room making sure i have everything. she still charged my card 69$ . as much money i put into this they treat you weird . megen tried to charge me 10$ one night just to reactive my key when they door do not open have to walk around to the front no matter the time of day . like its your job to do certain stuff stop being lazy . be ready to clean your own room or pay extra each day . have your own supplies as well . they looked at me funny for asking for 2 toilet paper likeee ok not worth paying 1500$+ month here

2022-01-28I definitely would have stayed for a week here, but the price was just a little too high. Its a wonderful extended stay in a great area. They also have smoking rooms available which is a plus in my book. Friendly staff that is willing to accommodate.

2022-01-19Umm its a place to stay. From experience first room the door didnt shut or lock. Moved to another room where there was a a good size hole n the tub. Grease on stove and side of fridge. And people staying there well should say living there were loud and disrespectful to people staying for work. Also kids stumping and running halls. Asked for a refund after first night still waiting on it. Hopefully I get it back. They did charge me for one full night price even though I got it for way cheaper

2022-06-30Clean room, wooden hallway floors and a Blue Bunny machine downstairs were the best parts of the stay

2021-08-21Its fair pricing. Except the elevator smelled like weed. The water pressure in the shower was so bad I had to use the tap to wash my hair. VERY friendly staff, pillows were more like what pillows? had to double the pillows just to raise my neck slightly. Questionable people staying there. At least it was clean. Mattress at home was bigger and softer. No carpet in the bedrooms and no lamps, meaning you use bright overhead lights or nothing at all. The headboards on the beds werent even attached.

2021-09-14On the day of checkout they will harass you up to two hours prior to checkout. First by phone then by physically banging at your door. Dont bother making complaints about inconsiderate guests and excessive noise, nothing will be done. No hot water just lukewarm. Have to pay for basic wifi if more than one device. This is not an extended stay as Ive stayed in one. This is bottom of barrel. At least they have a few nice women working here only plus.

2021-11-28Very dirty, staff was very rude when I explained and had proof of COCKROACHES in the bed! They wouldn’t give me a refund and said they’re fully aware of the cockroach infestation but DO NOT CARE! Horrible service, DO NOT GO!Mary was the staff members name who was very rude.I also have pictures of BLACK MOLD in bathroom as well.

2021-05-09This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed! They never kicked out the people that were banging on the floor above me. They would scoot furniture constantly. All through the night and day every day. Tons of complaints and it never mattered. They never tried to actually move our room for us. Our stove didnt work that well. The toilet was leaking. Horrible customer service for the most part. The batteries would always go dead on the doors for the key card. The hotel would always be trashed down the halls and stairs.

2022-03-31Friendly staff clean rooms and I have not seen one bug at all here in my room or in the hallway or laundry room.
