The Wood lake village apartment became a junk place to live/rent from. The place is not safe anymore, Strangers come over there and smoke weed all the time, the smoke inside the laundry rooms. The Owner or the management does not care about it at all. I lived there for over then 4 years. Since the change of the management the place deteriorated so fast and became more unsafe. they cancel a security service we use to have there during night time from 12 Am to 6 am. they stole so many cars from there including mine, management never posted anything or advising the tenants about whats going on in the area. I will never recommande the place and I will never every mention it to anyone. I moved out on February 28th 2022, they still did not give my deposit back. I will fight it till I get it back.

My husband and I have lived here for going on 5 years and we love it. We have a 2 bedroom garden facing apartment on the first floor. The apartment complex is very cat-friendly, theres tons of wildlife right outside your window, the walls are thick so I never hear my neighbors, and everyone is friendly and nice. The apartments are nothing fancy, as they were built in the 70s and havent necessarily been renovated, but they are well-built and clean.Whenever there is an issue and we call maintenance, they come and take care of the problem quickly. The communication from the office management to tenants is great -- we frequently see newsletters from them and we receive calls if we have packages in the office. Ive recommended many a co-worker to check this place out and now have some of them as neighbors, too!If youre looking for a safe, clean apartment that wont break the bank, this is it. Great highway access, friendly neighbors... we love it! :)

This apartment denied my application because I had ONE late payement on my rent from previous apartment, and didn’t care of the reason. Mind you I was at my previous apartment for three years with only one recent late payment, because me and my boyfriend broke up and I could no longer afford the apartment on my own with a kid. My income was more than enough, credit was eligible and no evictions. They just didn’t want to work with me by at least charging more on my deposit. They keep cats in the main office and the entrances to the buildings are not locked so anybody can walk in the building.

I’m not exactly sure how to rate them; 2.5 seems most fair.I pay $500 a month for a 1-bedroom. The price and terms (6-month or 1-year leases) don’t get any better. It’s also quiet and Angela at the front desk has always been kind and respectful in my interactions with her. I’ve never seen trash lying around outside or anywhere in the building. And I had a bug issue, but the bugs were only ants and water beetles that both showed up only in the living room for a couple of days. If this was the end of my review, I would gladly give them 5 stars. My confusion about how to rate them mostly comes from two major issues. The first is their failure to disclose prior to my check being recently stolen that checks have been stolen from their mailbox in the past, which resulted in me having to deal with the hassle of closing my bank account. Mistakes happen and no one is perfect, but it’s unfortunate because it was avoidable and it was at my expense. All of my bills, except rent, were on autopay. Two weeks later, I’m still working to shift accounts to my new account. The second issue is having to deal with rainwater pouring into my bedroom and living room for the past year. My neighbor above me has been dealing with this for the past 3 years. In fact, the rainwater issue has been unresolved for so long that the last time it rained and I called emergency maintenance, he asked me what I wanted him to do. The only things I could think to ask for were towels and he said he couldn’t help with that; no one came by that night to feign concern and look at it. When I got off of work the next day, there was a note on the door saying that someone had come in to check the carpet. I spent $20 at the laundromat washing/drying towels and blankets and the fan to dry the carpet ran for 2-days non-stop, also at my expense. That cost doesn’t include the time and energy of lugging wet towels and blankets to the laundromat or the mental stress of wondering what bacteria/mold/bugs the water brings and leaves behind. For this I have to give them 0 stars.I’ve considered putting my rent in escrow (for the benefit of others who may move in after me) but I have little space with working full time, preparing for grad school, family commitments, etc.to invest time into the complex escrow process.I’m not angry or disgruntled. I harbor no hard feelings against anyone here about anything. Having had both positive and negative experiences here in the year I’ve lived here, my motivation in writing this review is simply to educate about the pros and cons from my perspective for people who are considering moving here.

Good price and neighborhood but the landlord doesn’t consider air conditioning repair an emergency, and they don’t have enough maintenance staff to repair in a reasonable time frame. This is a serious health concern. Management recently refused to repair concrete for the pool and it is no longer a luxury for tenants. Staff is constantly leaving notes on doors about tenant behavior rather than taking action. Consider other options before renting here.

In our last month they managed to flood our apartment with sewage while trying to clear a slow running line. We then had to spend over a week in hotels because the apartment was unlivable, and the apartment office said they would cover our hotel expense. When we tried to turn in the receipts to get reimbursed, they told us they were only doing rent credits (which doesnt help someone moving out two weeks later). In addition when we went back to our apartment, we found the carpet, which was supposedly cleaned, still smelled like mildew, fecal matter was on the floor in the bathrooms, and there was 4 inches of sewage water in our washing machine. COMPLETELY unacceptable conditions for my pregnant wife and our 8 year old daughter to live in.Every time my wife or I discussed this with the office, Dreama (who does the finances?) was incredibly rude and did not make any effort to work with us on the problems. The entire time it felt like our concerns were just annoyances to the majority of the staff in the office. The owner was unreachable to make a complaint. And to top it all off, Dreama lied to our renters insurance company, trying to say we were able to be in our apartment sooner than we were, despite documentation and notices from the office proving she had the dates very wrong. We have just finished moving out, and the majority of our things still smell like mildew and sewage.

Extremely, EXTREMELY RUDE!!! I had talked to Angela she was nice and got all the paper work went back today (Saturday) another person was there. And the lady was so rude. She didnt even look up or anything and we had all the documents that list on the paper that is needed. And was straight up rude. If you have a TIN and a passport she will be extremely rude and wont even put your application in. And with Equal Housing they are required to treat you the same and run the application. She didnt even look through all the documents I had. Do not recommend. And I wouldnt want anyone to feel the way I did.

I could not believe when the rental representative told me that they could not rent me their apartment because i have no credit score. As a point of correction. I have a car note almost 5yrs now, if i dont have a credit how can i have a car note. Besides, i have 2 credits with reputable banks and store cards. How would all these organizations do business with me if i do not have a credit? My credit scores for both Transunion and Experian are 660 and 657 respectively. I believe credit score is NOT the main reason for denying my application. I get it !!!

The property manager is undeniably racist. I stood in line (first) waiting to pay rent while she bypassed me and took others. She refused to renew my lease because I worked on my car once to change out breaks. The office smells like a cat mating farm.

The lady in the leasing office was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. First, she insisted that she told me on the phone that she could only show my boyfriend and I a two bedroom, then before we left she argued with me about the date WE are moving. Now, I know when my lease is up. Therefore, I know when I can move. However, again she insisted that during our phone conversation I told her a different month.Since she spend less than 30 seconds on the phone with me, didnt even ask my name or anything else about me, and wasnt open to answering any questions, I find it odd that she kept referring to parts of a conversation that we never had.Again, she was rude the entire time. She didnt tell us anything about the property, handed us a price list and a key, and told us to come back after we looked at the apartment. Alone.Unfortunately, the property did not have certain things that we are looking for, but even if it did we would have gone somewhere else just because of her attitude. I would love to mention her name, but that was another piece of information that she was not interested in sharing with us.
