They do not allow walk INS which I am to believe they must not care about the hungry the majority of us needy do not have a vehicle and without the vehicle theres only walk INS ? Please someone help me to understand their logic behind their policies! If it were simply because of the corona virus well thats just not conceivable to Me. Wear masks to ensure the slow down of the spreading of the virus. The people who will benefit most from Your services, cant access the help without that resource. A vehicle.
I completely understand with covid and everything but the groceries was a little much. A whole case of potatoes, a whole case of bananas, all loaded into your car.. All of that going to waste because thats way to much for a average household. I received no canned foods to last longer. The fruits though were pretty good. This is the first time I used a food pantry and Im happy there is one that doesnt say oh well you arent in the zip code we help. I wish we could go in choose what we can use. You do need to be checked in when you get in line but if you arent, like I was, the guy I dealt with seemed very annoyed that noone checked me in which caused him to walk to get someone to check me in.
This place is extremely abusive Yooo the community service workers. The main boss is verbal and physically aggressive towards the workers on probation. Proceed with caution.Edit: it’s a shame that a Christian organization. Finds the need to lie on people on probation.I was requested to be there on a day that I was supposed to be from 4-8 and that I would be credited from 4-9 to finish my hours up. This is what I was told by the boss. so I obliged the people. At 8 o clock informed the person I needed to leave at which point he told me to tell her to sign me out which I did which she refused to saying I wouldn’t have double hours and I told her that I wasn’t worried about it that I would be coming back next week. When she refused I went back to the gentleman and he said he would handle it upon him speaking with she had told him I was disresectful but I wasn’t. She then told the other gentleman who proceeded to THREATEN ME and aggress me which I have on video and I will be submitting it to my probation officer and I will be posting it online.
If you have never been here then you need to stop in. In my house we only have one income and things can get pretty tight sometimes. I dont know if i was expecting the worst but i most certainly got the best. Every single person there was so so so nice. And it was normal people that run this place. I felt so comfortable strolling through this huge building. And everywhere i turned there was someone with more stuff to give. I walked out with a lot of stuff. And the lady that runs it. She is the sweetest lady. My 4 year old was not bring so great and this woman was like super awesome with her. Kept her entertained and walked through with us to make sure i didnt miss anything. I absolutely think this is the best food panty Ive ever been to. Huge Huge thumbs up.
For helping those that are needy in the community deserves 10 stars... this is a well pulled helping machine from my very limited experience.. I donated and helped a bit but honestly felt like I was in the way because these folks are real movers and believers.. if Im ever invited to help again I will hands down go lend a hand.. They really make an impact and spread a bit of laughter and humility at the opening of the door..
This is the first time I have ever done an online review about anything. Tonight I volunteered at With Gods Grace Food Pantry on Springfield St in Dayton. I was truly moved and humbled by the experience. The people I worked with were very caring and compassionate. It was an honor to work with them and serve the community.
For the first time I decided to go to the pantry In Huber Heights on Saturday at One love.Onions were rotten&bread was moldy. Why distribute if people can’t eat it. I know the food is donated but someone need to check it before handing it out. I’m Truely appreciative but don’t dispense food to the public if you would not eat it yourself.
They are the kindest and most helpful people on the planet. Without them a lot more people in this area would be starving. I would easily leave 10 stars if it were an option. If youre between checks and cant get assistance, check their Facebook page for food events! They do a few each week and you can go to every one of them!
When you are in need, this is the pantry to go to. Fantastic people helping those in need, and volunteering is welcomed and a great way of showing your appreciation of what they do and a great way of saying thanks as you help others in need. Fresh foods and plenty of pantry items.
I made the mistake of showing up on a delivery day. A fella told a young lady to pack me a small box of food anyway. They sent me home with enough meat, (which is what I needed, after the tornado wiped out my freezer), to eat for 2 weeks! Thank You So Much! That young lady was so sweet, she grabbed a bag of cheese puffs, thru them in my box, and said, these are my favourits. Such neat people.
I asked for help because someone was stealing the food I got. And instead of the guy being nice he yelled and cursed at me. Its using God in their name yet he yelled at me and cursed me down. Okay so maybe they shouldnt be using God in their name if theyre going to be rude like that. I asked for help he yelled at me and told me anyone can get whatever they want etc.. he basically did not hear one word I said. Needless to say. Its very un organized and sad to see this because they are really a great ministry. But to be shamed for help isnt cool.
Its a very good idea that is in the works but have to do something about the way that its coming in you go in the building close to where you park at and you come out on the opposite side where youre not allowed to load or unload your groceries mind you these boxes or 40 + pounds you have to carry that approximately 250 300 feet away to where you parked at its a little ways to go Id find a new way to do it maybe go out the lot loading docks and end in through the end where would you come out at makes it very uneasy trip
They are there to help the community in any way possible and I will thank Gods Grace Food and all of the volunteer,s that makes it easier for everyone to have the food and nutrition that Gods grace can give so please stop by on Wednesdays at 4:00oclock till 8:00 except the 3th Wednesday of the month so stop by and pick up your own blessing of Gods grace
Will never attend this pantry again. Everything I got but 2 items were expired by at least a few months. I went for food so I could feed my son and threw it all in the trash. The fruit and produce were all rotten. Will not be going back. I am talking about the mobile food pantry that was in Brookville the other day. All produce was bad and fruit was rotten. I received several items that were dated for September. This includes yogurt. Cant feed my child out dated food. I literally kept a bag of potatoes and a bag of frozen chicken. Obviously items are not checked for dates and gone through properly. People come to you for the need to feed a family and cant cook and eat out dated food!
Love what you do Nicole, but must get control of the immigrants who push their way through the line with no regard to others, while taking excessive amounts of food offered by the case before the open hours were 1/2 way over. Not fair to those who were still waiting in line.
With Gods Grace is the best food pantry in Dayton! Ms. Nichole Adkins has been a savoir to all of us on the East End of Dayton. Our grocery store burned down and she opened right after . I go every Wednesday at 4 pm.They stay open until 8 pm. You can also make appointments during the day by texting her phone number on her website.
It seems so sad that this pantry is getting City citations for serving the area that lost its only grocery store within 4-5 MI. Theres fresh vegetables , can goods baked goods xcetera just trying to help and the lady gets a ticket from the city threatened jail and fines yet the grocery store, is still a pile of burnt Rubble thank you city of Dayton we appreciate your concern of the people of underprivileged areas thank you again but most of all thank you for the pantry that puts a thousand percent and to taking care of people no matter who they are or what they are.
With Gods Grace Mobile Food pantry is an asset to our local communities in both Montgomery and Greene counties. They feed numerous families every month and travel to several locations such as Xenia, Brookville, Huber Heights, Vandalia, East and West Dayton, and Miamisburg once a month to feed those in need. They are a judgement free pantry and make you feel like family. Not only do they travel but they hold food handouts out of their standing warehouse located on Springfield St. This is an amazing organization and I am so proud of what they do and happy to be a part of it.
They have a line out the door about a block long as well as giving bad food . I am homeless as well as my family . I asked James the guy that takes care of the food pantry if me and my family could get some food from them because we were hungry he responded no Im not giving no food out to those who walks in up only to those who has a car . Is it a disgrace for some one who gets a food bank gave to them from the government to help with the poor .

2022-06-03I was there this morning (Friday, June 3, 2022). I showed up early, and was there at the time they were supposed to be open (9AM), but no one showed up. I waited until 9:30, still no one showed up. Im not sure what is going on, and not sure if they would have given me food because all I have is my wagon/cart. I know they dont do walk ins, but I dont have to go inside. I should be able to load my cart the same way someone with a car loads their trunk. If not, thats discrimination against those who need food the most. The one on Xenia, which they said is open to walk ins in another answer to someone else who gave a similar review/comment, only opens their foodbank once a month (4th Monday). The other one on Drexel doesnt answer the phone. So yeah, no help for the really poor.I know I can probably get transportation to the food bank through medicaid, but if I get there and no volunteers are there, whats the point? It says on Google that they were open 9 - 2 today, but they didnt bother to show up.

2021-11-22With Gods grace pantry is a joke. Read the reviews dont give enough food because all the employees are stealing the food they still the Christmas toys is still all the food they want all the games they want they still everything they want. And they give out what they want to give out which is nothing then they drive down the aisle and charge you a dollar for a water. You know how many people are online how many dollars they get. It is supposed to be a nonprofit organization though. They are scam and theyre hiding behind Gods name. They take the donations and do what they want to do with them and its wrong

2021-11-22To the person attempting to leave a bad review, the only thing that is a joke about this place is your review and outright slanderous accusations. I have both received help and volunteered for this organization for a few years now, its a great organization.
