Ive been living in the Giel apartments for quite some time now and its been great. Martin made sure everything was done by time i moved in and it looks beautiful. He even made sure the fan chains were extra long because im short! His maintainence crew is awesome too! They came out to me in the middle of the night because my fuses blew and remodelled the apartment before i moved there. They are kind and are wonderful with kids and love pets. I would totally reccomend Winwood as all the staff are accomidating and willing to help and work with you if you just ask. I will be staying with them for a long time.
Im am very disappointed. I have had trash sitting outside my window and Ive called 3 times in the last week to have it removed. There is no access from the outside because the gates are locked and im disabled so I cant just crawl out the window to pick it up myself. Very poor. Extremely disgusting. Horrible service.I wanted to update this review. They did get back to me and was courteous and apologetic for the long wait to get it cleaned. I guess there was some confusion about how to get back there to clean it.
Moved in July 1st and then my power goes out the 1st night I moved into the unit. The illuminating company said it was all faulty wiring, we had no cable and my power continues to go in and out after the apartment had their own electrician come out. I have a small air conditioner in each of the 3 bedrooms and they tell me I have to much power going on in the unit. Then they had people working on the empty unit next door that has put a crack in the wall starting from the top of my bedroom ceiling to the living room. Now they sent the plumber to snake out the bathroom drain then my kitchen gets flooded as soon as I tried to use the bathroom sink. They told me that maintenance was on call 24-7 but its been over 12 hrs later and still no one has showed up.
I lived at Winwoods property on Broadview Rd for 3 years. I enjoyed every moment. The property is a smaller complex with 6 units which makes living comfortable especially after a long day of work. Neighbors were kind and the property is near major freeways and shopping centers. I loved the location everything was convenient. I had a charming 1 bedroom which was well kept. Ill truly enjoyed this place. The property management and team were always nice and helpful. Maintenance came when needed and the property was well kept i.e. landscaping etc. Rent was affordable especially for living within the Old Brooklyn/Parma area and free heat was the best. Thanks Windwood for such a pleasant experience.
We own a home in Mayfield Heights and moved over 7 hours away to NY state, after having an awful property mgmt firm let renters slide or try to negotiate payment terms, we found Martin & Winwood Properties and from the start he was professional and no nonsense. Renters were properly vetted, rent arrived on-time and a detailed spreadsheet is provided monthly. Any required maintenance is handled quickly and professionally. Martin will provide his insight when asked and is very knowledgable about the local housing market. Having Winwood Properties manage our home was one of the best decisions we made regarding that home.
It hasnt been long since Ive moved into my apartment, and they were quite understanding and patient with me, as they worked to settle me into my first apartment. The apartment i decided on was quite nice, new vinyl flooring and a spacious kitchen and bedroom. Service so far has been great, and Im looking to stay for the forseeable future.
Jose at Windwood Properties returns my calls promptly. He is patient and understanding. He listens to my issue and asks questions to make sure he understands the problem. He is efficient and makes sure maintenance comes out to fix the problem within 24 hours. I am very satisfied with the maintenance at Winwood Properties.
My property manager Kim was awesome, she was funny, outgoing,polite,knowledgeable and she cared .she worked with me and always responded rite back no matter how many questions I had or what time of day she alwaysanswered me and never complained
I can confirm that Martin, the owner, is awful. He or his people can never be bothered to take care of a problem but when they want a dime from you suddenly they never go away. Avoid winwood and md properties at all costs. Martin only cares about money and you will never get your security deposit back. Homelessness is a better option. On top of all of this he makes paying rent very hard. He requires all tenants to MAIL their rent in or drive it to Lakewood. This man and his companies are stuck in the 1920s and I have yet to see a sign that they care even one ounce about their tenants.
I really love my new apartment! Kim from Winwood Properties is a total pro! Very pleased with the entire rental process. 😀😀😀
Worse place I ever lived leasing office very unprofessional . Won’t recommend anybody to live there
Had constant problems with this company trying to say my rent was late when theyd simply misplaced my rent check. No apology issued after those rude phone calls. I could never seem to get someone from the leasing office on the phone. Just nonsense.

Martin Davidson is a lying conniving crook. Do not rent from them. You will most certainly regret it.

2022-05-22They recently took over some new properties and they do not take care of them we usually had someone always have the parking area cleaned and maintenance was always available when we needed it and now the property is just trash everywhere they don’t have anyone come clean up or anything around these apartments you can’t ever get ahold of anyone I would not recommend renting from these people at all they will not do there job

2022-07-19There office staff is so unprofessional when u have a maintenance issue the office assistant is so rude she will put u on hold with hopes that u will hang up the phone I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business as there I will never rent from there establishment again it’s not worth the headache they will continue to collect your money and not fix anything People should be more conscious and aware of who they hire to represent there business because it matters

2020-10-15Martin and the team at Winwood have done an excellent job managing and maintaining my properties in the Cleveland area. Tenant screening and placement has been a seamless process. They have found and placed quality tenants quickly, offered guidance on improvements to pull higher rents when preparing the units for rent and done a good job staying on top of maintenance issues. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a property management company in the Cleveland Metro Area and will be using them for all my future investments!

2020-08-03Winwood Properties maintenance responded very quickly when I had an emergency on Sunday. My toilet broke and Mike in the office returned my call quickly and within an hour a plumber was here to check out my toilet. I needed a new toilet which was installed the next day. I have lived here for 4 years and Mike always responds to any problems quickly.

2018-03-14I moved to Lakewood for my job not too long ago. The experience with Winwood Properties has been absolutely terrific! Beautiful building that is very well taken care of and the management is incredible. I have never dealt with better people than I have at Winwood. I called their 24/7 answering service for urgent maintenance needs to fix something in my apartment and the response time was a blessing - they came out and fixed the issue immediately. If you are looking for great people, great buildings, etc to rent from, I would highly recommend Winwood.

2020-07-15Lived in the Giel-Detroit building for 2 years and had a great experience. The rent is super affordable. Would have stayed another year if I wasn’t moving in with my boyfriend. The building is old so you do run into some maintenence issues, but they always respond to them very quickly. I accidentally locked myself out once when I was carrying out the trash and they were able to let me in in minutes. They also didn’t raise my rent every year which is almost unheard of in Lakewood!

2017-09-05I was very happy with my year long stay at a place leased by Winwood Properties. When I moved in to the downstairs unit of a duplex, it was very clean and the appliances, windows, blinds, and locks were in good condition. My maintenance requests were handled in a timely manner and everyone I worked with was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend renting from Winwood.

2018-02-22Martin Davidson and associates of Winwood Properties have been the greatest property managers I have ever employed. They always performed a top notch job from screening prospective tenants to maintaining the property. When we decided to sell the property, they excelled as we received a larger than asking price as we followed their expert advice through the entire process. The next time we are seeking property managers, Martin Davidson will be the go to guy.

2018-11-21Winwood has been much more responsive to maintenance issues than other property management companies Ive rented from in Lakewood. The office staff is genuinely more people focused and genial. Would recommend to friends and family.
