This is my first time at this location. Ive been to several locations within this particular chain of restaurants. I found this one to be a Hidden Gem due to its location. Its hidden in a business park within some hotel chains. Firstly, they are following the proper covid-19 protocol. The restaurant itself was very clean. I had only one hour to eat because I had an appointment. When I told the server that and asked if she could get me out quickly not only did she say yes but my food arrived in 5 minutes or less. In fairness I only ordered a drink and a salad but thats still quick. I also asked my server to bring me a takeout container and to cash me out while I was still at the table and she quickly did both! If you like this particular restaurant chain then youre going to have to give this one a try.
Arrived at 4:05 seated instantaneously, waited 20 minutes ignored by waitress, no acknowledgement, albeit 4 talking by bar. A blonde acknowledge the couple directly behind us several times, but not once had anyone offered us anything. Quite sad considering the establishment was not busy. Ended up at Mables at Eaton square
Waitress excellent. Wings overdone and really not edible manager very accommodating and repeat ordered them and they came out the same way. Hamburgers just ok and because we were hungry we ate them. Medium were medium well done and dry. Salad instead of fries was excellent. The decafe coffee stronger than Starbucks But, we were able to get some boiled water and then it was ok. Just used to Mayfield Heights.
It hurts me to write this review because I love the winking lizard its my go to local place. However this location did not live up to my expectations. My fiancée and myself sat at the bar. The bartender seen and acknowledged us then got ignored for the next 10 mins. It wasnt until we got up to leave the bartender finally asked us if we needed anything. At that point we just left and went to the Bedford Heights location. The worst part was only 1 other person was sitting at the bar so they werent even busy at the time.
We are visiting from new York and staying at Homewood suites next door. My family ordered boneless wings with the sauce on the side (for my 6 yr old, since we didnt know spice level) well he couldnt eat his dinner because the sauce was ON the wings. He didnt even get the blue cheese he ordered 😮💨Bo mans honey club sandwich was not satisfactory at all. The chicken was rubbery and small. Extremely small and unfulfilling. The bread was good though 😅The kids corn dog meal had har overcooked pieces and I also thought it was wierd that the kids meals didnt come with drinks... Maybe thats just me.Lastly my buffalo chicken salad was delicious. I just wish I got the extra ranch I ordered.
Casual american sports bar with a large selection of burgers and sandwiches. There are also lots of beer choices. Unfortunately we got an uncaring waitress who only wanted to push the chains specials and was not helpful to us.The food was overall good and tasty. Just what you want for a lunch when travelling.
It was a good experience. While I have visited this place multiple times, the best time to be here is probably during a game of their local teams. The whole place feels pretty lively with TVs all over the walls. The service is pretty decent. The staff is good. The food is also decent, wouldnt say great. Have tried their wings and pizza. Liked them. They also have an option for open air seating, but to find a space there you must be there very early.
I love to explore local bars when I am in a new places. On this note, went to this winking Lizards restaurant. Here is my review.Restaurant is good but we had very unpleasant experience.First the menu is very tricky and not so clear. Waiter proposed, she would bring 4 samples and select what you like. When the bill came, we saw a charge of $7. Staff never informed us that samples will be charged. We ordered nachos and cheese was like water, it was dripping and yakkWe ordered Veggie quesadilla and clearly instructed “No Meat” No “Chicke” No “seafood” in it. After 30 mins wait, they brought CHICKEN quesadilla. When I informed them, they were very casual and said sorry.Very disappointing restaurant.
Very family friendly. A little too many young kids screaming and running around are my only complaint. It was the day before Thanksgiving so very busy. Quoted 35 mins was seated by 20, the food took about 20 minutes to come out for a party of 5. The food was good, always is at any winking lizard.
Winking lizard used to be a favorite of mine as a kid. This experience has changed my feeling quite dramatically.I ordered takeout for a specific time well over an hour in advance. Showed up promptly yet had to wait 20 minutes to have the second half of my order prepared. Wings (with sauce) were dry. Apparently salads here have everything but lettuce. And the ribs are served cold and tasteless.2 stars for less than stellar performance.
Absolutely amazing place to spend time and get a great meal. They have every beer you could dream about and over a hundred whiskeys to choose from. The food is priced very reasonably and they have deals during the week for wings etc. Have been a number of times and always been great.
We stumbled upon Winking Lizard after three other restaurants were closed for dinner on Sunday, which is about par for the course for Cleveland nowadays. Thankfully, we were met with excellent service, great wings and a truly impressive selection of beers. A great place for drinks and a quick bite with friends.
If youre a Clevelander and you havent been to the Wink, you better fix that. This is a delightful location with a nice patio (and heaters for the cold seasons). There is always a superb rotating beer selection, and the bar food is very solid. Spicy garlic and Thai wings are my favorite. Also, the World Tour Of Beer is absolutely worth it.
I have not been out dining very much since the pandemic started. First, the menu is very extensive and very reasonably priced. If you cannot find something to choose, it is your own fault. The restaurant was filled with an old + young alike design. Many televisions circumference the dining area. A cozy, beautiful outdoor dining area for clement weather is noticed as soon as one approaches the restaurant. And I cannot rave enough of the employees who made our dining experience outstanding. The server, who, of course, we had the most interaction, was well above a 10/10. We will not hesitate to go back when we are in Cleveland, Ohio.
Great service. Make sure to get the patron upgrade for the Margarita, it is worth it. They happened to be on special that day, and our first waitress didnt mention it so I got the regular and when they switched, I tried the other one. Also, I tried the Bourbon Barrel wings, which have caramel and Sriracha. I dont like spicy and it wasnt. The caramel needed the balance. Just sucks you cant split flavors but 🤷🏽♀️
Pleasantly surprised to find this local restaurant when visiting family around the holidays. This cheeseburger oasis hit the spot after a weekend of turkey, pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce. The steak fries and bacon cheeseburger were good, and table service was above par with plenty of refills and help from staff in addition to our server.*And yes, there is an actual lizard in the lobby to view as you wait for a table, as well as an oversized self-service popcorn machine at the door.
I was greeted and seated promptly. The server was quick and brought drinks and let us chat and look over the menu, then checked back in and we were ready to order. We each had buffalo chicken salads and requested dressing on the side. Everything was delicious, the lettuce freshThe only downside was while they gave me dressing on the side, they also put some on the salad, which was a little too much. Very minor in the scheme of things.
This was a great find just staying in Cleveland overnight on the way back to MI from the east coast. I did not expect this in the airport district. They have free popcorn ( however by the time we left it was not available anymore) and a menu where everone did find something suitable. The wings were excellent. The only drawback : the fries were a bit soggy and the garlic cheese bread they serve with everything was clunky and seemed out of place, it was also very heavy..Service was knowlegeable, prompt and friendly. The patio is spacious and inviting with real plants and patio lights, They also have umbrellas and shade sails. This is so much better than staring at a parking lot.The outdoor bar has plenty of covered space. It was not very busy at the time we were there and noise levels were acceptable/low.I am sad this is an Ohio chain and wish they will come to MI!
My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat and were looking through the reviews here and some were good and decent but I dont honestly believe the reviews do it justice. We showed up and they were super polite and took us to out table around 4:20 and got us our food fast and correct and when we finished then quickly got us to go containers. We were seated fed and out and paid the bill in less than an hour. This place is really nice with polite genuine workers. I wouldnt mind eating here every night if I had the money. Truly a great place to eat out.
Great food. Great beer selection. Service is slow, especially at lunch. They also let people smoke on the patio. The tables are like 6 feet apart. Smoke doesn’t instantaneously dissipate just because you’re outside. It’s utterly ridiculous that I can’t take advantage of their nice patio without risking my kids getting secondhand smoke.
The Winking Lizard provides for an enjoyable dining experience at an affordable price. The restaurant contains a sports bar and several dining areas. Choose from a variety of food including a variety of beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. Prices are fairly reasonable and the food is high quality and served to order. The Winking Lizard has tables spaced out in the restaurant and Plexiglas dividers to separate visitors from one another.Service was descent and checked on us often.
130PM Sunday. Two people. 10 min after we were seated to have someone get our drink orders. Put an app order in when we got our drink (10 boneless wings) 30 min later we got the wings. 10 min after we had eaten them, we finally had someone come to take our lunch order. We also asked for 10 more wings to eat as we figured the real food would probably take a while. Waited 40 minutes to get our food (burger + skinny dippers) as well as our second order of boneless wings. Then another 10 min with the bill....Tables around us had multiple drink refills and had food brought to them before we even had an appetizer despite arriving after us.The redeeming star is that the food was good.
Sorry, but food AND service are way subpar. Have eaten here for years, and liked it whether the service was spot on or a little slow, since the food was good. WAS. The lizard Lips (chicken fingers) today were shreds - thin, bone dry and cooked in a batter that has to be out of a bag. Not crispy or crunchy - tooth cracking hard and tasteless. Not good. Worst Ive had in a long time. As for sauce - its Kens restaurant sauce in a cup. The staff may be new and inexperienced, but management has to be on the floor, and take responsibility for the bad food.Right now, this is just a bar, and you can smoke outside...
I just started to go there, l only try their chicken sandwich, that l put together. It was just like a patty melt, instead of beef, l have fry chicken breast, on rye gill bread, and grill onions, three slice of swiss cheese, served with French fries. Wow my mouth was having a party that day. Try it.
The “lizard” is an Ohio staple of food and sports. They have a really good selection of beers and the wings and burgers are very good. But I feel the last few times we have been, the service has not really been very good. The most recent time I was there with 3 others, we waited 38 minutes for our food, our drinks were never refilled and the check/payment took way too long. And we got there at 1:15, quite a bit after the lunch rush. I want to rate it higher, but I think the service needs to improve. Still, it’s a fun place for sports and some drinks after work.
Solid place with very good food. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Shoutout to Dan the server. He was on top of everything and made some great suggestions. Also today is his roommates birthday. Happy birthday friend of Dan.We ordered quite a bit of food as it was a team night for work. We ordered pizza and wings and the food was exceptional. Their Thai Chili wing sauce was spot on and fiery. Their Teriyaki was the perfect blend of tangy and sweet. Their Sweet Barbecue was perfectly mild. Their 911 sauce speaks for it self, but not too hot its bland. The pizza was a personal pan size of six slices for $5. It was very good pizza. One bite, everyone knows the rules. It was easily a 6.4. Solid pizza for a bar setting.Tried a new mixture of drinks. Dr. Pepper and Morgan. Goes down easier than you think. Look out Long Island iced tea!Overall loved the atmosphere and the menu is well priced. The options are great and it seems like theyre not trying to do too much with their menu.Im writing this review on the toilet as their pizza is very cheesey (not a bad thing).
This is the WORST Winking Lizard I’ve EVER been to. The service was horrible and the food was worse, it was cold and dried out and on top of that the server charged me twice for two entrees we did not order. Much to my surprise when asked to speak with a manager, when she came out she was extremely rude and told me the bill was correct!! I had to literally make her read the bill repeatedly in order for her stupid self to comprehend their discrepancy in order for my bill to corrected.
McKenzie our waitress was awesome, she treated me and my guess with kindness and we had alot of fun with her, she danced for and with us, kudos to McKenzie and winking lizard the food was awesome we will be back to eat here again and I hope to get McKenzie again GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
Besides the wait for a table (because they were so busy) I loved it. Having never been a fan in the past for inconsistent delivery with their food, I may once again become a fan. My food was so good😋 and filling. It literally took care of my next 2 meals. I will definitely return prepared for the wait too. Its worth it.
I will tell you about the Lizard vibe. Its not just the fact that Drew Carey wore a winking lizard t-shirt on The Drew Carey show often either. Lizard is a staple in the Cleveland area. They are a clutch joint for being an All-American eatery. They have weekly specials on wings, burgers, Pizza, and ribs. The bartenders are the best and friendliest in town. If youre alone or with one other friend be sure to sit at the bar and strike up some banter with your local lizard bartender. Also little-known pro tip: there is a beer store and whiskey bar called lizardville in Bedford right next to the Bedford winking lizard. Its an awesome low-key vibe spot for an evening of sampling spirits. Also some of the highest end food the winking lizard franchise has to offer is at lizardville.
I had a veggie wrap with a colleague. Although it sounds like a dingy strip club, it was actually a fun lively place with good people and good food. The service was a bit slow, but the place was relatively crowded. The food seemed fresh and higher quality and definitely a good place to visit if convenient.Affordable and low cost our whole bill was probably 20 bucks or so.
I really liked this place, heard great things about this restaurant and it stood up to its standards, food was tasty, drinks were also tasty plus a friendly family restaurant, plus you get great service, oh free Complementary popcorn. Not let me forget very clean restaurant, will be going back real soon, and the fire pit is such a relaxing Atmosphere.
Service was originally slow, but highly improved. Food was great. Although their last menu change deleted my usual favorite item.It was a hard decision to consider stopping there after being assaulted by employees at their Galleria location. Used to go at least once a week for the past 3 years. But absolutely will never recommend Winking Lizard - Galleria, to any of my clients, or if anyone asks. The Beachwood location was great. And my server, Brianna, was fantastic.
Every thing about the restaurant was great. Servers, hostess, everything was what you would expect from the winking lizard. The lack of 5 star is simply for the lack of truly healthy options. Very little grilled options on the menu and no healthy appetizers. Standard American bar fare and free popcorn!
Havent been to this particular location before. We loved going to the Wink with friends but havent been in a while so one of our friends put together this little reunion. Had lots of laughs, good food and tons of fun. Our server was very friendly and kind. There was a wait on the food but there were a lot of people there I think for the Cavs game so we figured that would happen. Good experience.
Had lunch today and ordered the Chicken Philly. The chicken was dry and tasteless. I couldnt choke it down. I let the server know and she apologized, but didnt offer a different entree and the manager never came over. I paid my $15 bill plus tip and left hungry. Thats the last time Ill eat at the Beachwood location.
My coworkers and I work for the city that this restaurant operates out of. We don’t go there anymore after ordering multiple times a week for the past 2-3 months. Terrible customer service from the front desk, especially a guy about 6ft tall skinny with black hair mid 30s. Food is never ready on time even when you order a salad and burger an hour before hand. We have a 45 minute lunch and spend 3/4 of it waiting for our to go order. I’d give it a .5 star if I could
The food was amazing and our Guinness was poured perfectly! Our waitress was very on point and we never had to wait or ask for anything. I had the crab cakes and fried pickles and they were both really good. We also ordered a pizza to go and it was really tasty as well. Try the BBQ sauces and youll be leaving with several bottles like we did !
Carry out order was really delicious. Wings were excellent. Food was hot and fresh, and the hostess went through the order to make sure I had everything I had ordered before I left. My only regret is that there is not a location near me at home. I would definitely eat here again!
Service was slow, brought out one persons rap a good 10 minutes before the rest of us were served our dinner. Apologized, but it was still a very long wait for our ribs. Food was good, coleslaw was great. For my first visit it wasnt an overwhelming experience, I may or may not go back.
A steady and consistent bar food venue. Wings are crispy and sauced to perfection. The beer is cold and the number of selections is overwhelming, although as usual, many popular selections are unavailable, but not posted as such. Tried the beer cheese dip and was impressed. The service was solid.
Not the biggest fan of this one. We sat inside at the behest of one of our friends and it was filled with kids and absolutely loud, like you cant hear yourself think loud. The service wasnt that great as our waiter seemed new and forgot a few things like drinks. The food on the other hand was good. Still though it isnt really worth it to go on the weekend and sit inside unless you are interested in getting tenitis.
This was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a winking lizard. If I could give less than 1 star I would! To start we order 2 chicken sandwiches. The chicken was tough and very over cooked. The waiter we had paid absolutely no attention to our needs and walked by empty drink glasses multiple times. This employee was more interested in being on his phone then taking care of his guests. When we tell our waiter we were through my friend had almost a full plate of food that he never touched and the waiter didnt even ask why he didnt eat his meal. We get the check and I explained that we were covering some business for a few and we would still be there for a short time. The waiter then responds well Ill be leaving soon so if you could take care of the bill now that would be great. There will be someone else to tend to us if need be ( ARE YOU KIDDING ME?). When we finally walk to the exit there are 2 females behind a counter taking and laughing and never said thank you or anything. We werent even aknowleged. I will never return to this location as our business was definitely not appreciated in the slightest.
For wings and drinks, Winking Lizard is a great place. They have a good selection of sauces and a great beer list. Sandwiches and other dishes are good. And, compared to competitors, this is always a clean restaurant and service is usually fast...which is great if you are stopping in for lunch.
This particular Winkling Lizard in Beachwood has Little Bobby, who is irresistibly cute. If hes not hiding in the rocks from those who admire him, youll see how charming he is. Other than that, our experience has been that the food is hot and has met our expectations, the service is fine and friendly if youre leisurely hanging in the bar where we usually go, and the prices are very reasonable. This is the Lizard were most fond of. Their haddock is one of my favorites - fresh and delicious. The onion rings last time were sweet and mmm, so good.
Good rotating draft list for the beer enthusiast; regular specials throughout the week as well as seasonal and situational events and specials always ensure theres a deal on something to eat; very nice outdoor patio when the weather is nice.Sitting at the bar can be hit or miss when it comes to service quality given the inside and outside bars share space and staff, leading to staff preferring the inside patrons more often than not.
I don’t get this place. I’m not from CLE so maybe that’s the issue. The burgers are good but greasy so be aware if that isn’t your thing. The sides are ok. There’s a big menu but most of it isn’t worth ordering. There are better wings almost anywhere. The waitstaff is hit or miss as they seem to rotate constantly. Sometimes our order is perfect, sometimes it’s wrong, sometimes we sit for an hour before it shows up.The specials are always terrible and if you don’t like fatty meat, stay away the brisket, prime rib, etc. you’ll end up with chunks of white fat.Tonight I ordered the ribs. They don’t know how to cook ribs to the point they shouldn’t be on the menu. If you need a steak knife to even have a shot of separating them then they aren’t cooked. After a few minutes of sawing at them I gave up. Sauce was generic. I sent them back.I don’t get why people like this place. There are 400 restaurants within 5 miles where you can literally get a better...anything.
Had to wait and see if the server was on to be seated on the patio. When there was only 1 other table in the restaurant at the time. And 3 servers/bartenders standing around the bar. Found it weird that it seemed they didnt want to sit us there. As a server Im at my job to make money. Maybe the host needs trained just to sit the guest, then figure out who is the server, away from the guest. I am, however, very happy with the server. She was very nice and attentive. Food is normal bar food, nothing spectacular, but the atmosphere and the specials makes up for it.
If youre reading Winking Lizard reviews then youre likely not familiar with the small chain that has become a mainstay in this area. The food has always been great, the beer selection (since Ive been old enough to drink here) has always given me new things to try, and the service never disappoints. I always have a great time when I visit either of the two nearby locations.
I have only ever been to Winking Lizard one other time and it wasnt bad at all but here in Beachwood, from the time we walked in, the hostess was amazing and attentive to my little one and Freddy was our server, he was so on point with everything, from us as parents and our 5yr old. He was very timely, attentive and friendly. Great service all while it was getting busier.
They get a 4 simply because service was slow. The onion rings were tasty and so is their signature BBQ sauce. I got the chopped lizard salad with grilled chicken with the southwestern ranch. The salad is big enough to share so you wont go hungry by choosing to eat veggies instead of wings.
Went in today to celebrate my sons 16th birthday!! Food was excellent! Service was outstanding!! The waitresses that took care of our large party of 35 was great!! The managers Lisa and Eric were most friendly professional managers ever!! I definitely recommend the Winking Lizard in Beachwood!! I am going to try to get in touch with thier corporate office to tell them how great the staff and service is at location!!! Keep up the great work!!
Every time I eat here, I regret it. The food isnt bad, its just not at all good. Just remember that what you order will taste about as good as what you can easily make at home. Also, it was freezing inside. Our waiter agreed that it was cold and shared that they cant turn up the heat... Only the corporate office can do that. I wonder what other corners theyre cutting.
Its a local chain of quality American food in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Plenty of screens to watch the game, a large menu with some very good seasonal and short term specials, and the world tour of beers keep people coming back again and again.More than a dozen beers on draft, with all of the basics plus rotating and seasonal beers and a hundred or more bottles to choose from makes for an interesting annual challenge to try 50, 100, or even 150 different beers in a single year. Finish the challenge and get some Winking Lizard swag.
Got the chipotle chilly (I think it was called) wings. Rhe wings werent as saucey as I wanted so i asked for a little sauce ont he side and they were totally fine with it. It also has a large parking lot and pleanty of seating inside. The wings were big and hearty and the sauce was smoky and a slight kick. The fries were large cut and delicous. The waitress was super kind.
I had a delicious meal of a fish sandwich and perogies instead of fries (the is an up charge). I love that other religious people celebrate and I get to eat the yummy food. The is was so big it was hard to fit on the giant hoggie roll. And the 2 perogies with butter and onions were amazing. Service was great too.
I love Winking Lizard. Their appetizers are top notch and the beer selection is always great. The wings and sauces are great too. My personal favorites are actually their salads. The Mesa Chop Chicken salad is delicious and you cant go wrong with the Original house salad that features corned beef.
Okay so let me paint you a picture. Theres literally four people on the patio and we asked for 10 to sit there they made us wait 15 minutes so that way they can push the tables together. Once we got out there and got seated they let us put the tables together so Im not sure what they did for 15 minutes. All of the beers that were Wheats were unavailable. Later on the server said one of the wheat beers was available so we ordered one turns out it was still unavailable and she gave it to us anyway in other words she gave us a beer that she knew was not correct. The manager or whoever was in charge came over and did take it off the bill. So synopsis service was not awesome and its a bar with little beers to offer so find somewhere else to go in my opinion this is not the first time Ive been there. It may have been the 4th or 5th. Oh and as a qualifier I like the Winking Lizard chain just not this one.
After being seated and waiting over 10 minutes, had to complain to get a waiter to come to our table. Our check was wrong. After they fixed it they still tried to charge us double the amount to the credit card. The food was not as good as other locations. One wing was undercooked.
The service was horrible. The manager walked and ignored us as we requested service. Our waitress was obvious to the needs of our table while working with only two tables that were behind us. Drinks were never refilled nor was my food asked if it could be packaged before bringing the check. No attention was given and apologies were sorry, indirect, and worthless. I have worked in fast food and in management, and the work ethic we received was nothing less then pitiful.
I was forced to eat here whilst travelling. Prices were low, as was the quality. I ordered the boneless wings with a side of mac n cheese, and a honey mustard dressing. Wings were tiny, and more bread than meat. I had to ask for the dressing as it didnt turn up. The mac n cheese was cold. When I complained it got shoved in the microwave and was then burning hot with that nasty crust only microwaving can achieve. Not somewhere I recommend.
Amazing Ribs!!I travel a lot for work, so Ive had my share of dried out, overcooked, wayyyy too sweet, and smokeless ribs. The Lizards spot-on flavored, truely BBQd, and pleasantly meaty ribs on special Wednesday nights were by far the best pub/tavern/diner ribs Ive enjoyed in quite some time!!Gahhh, now Im craving them and theyre five hours from the house
It was alright service was ok but.... I found many bugs in the bathroom and around the restaurant. I would consider that you get that fixed, because it was not pretty. And the bathroom stunk really badly, the sinks were all messed up and the toilets had water all over them. If I were you I would again consider getting that fixed. Last but not least The Popcorn.... Was very stale and tasted gross, I would consider freshly popping once or twice a day. But other wise it was ok food was good and i had an ok time.
Service was bad, had to find my own drink at the bar. Ordered an appetizer of cheese wedges, all the cheese was melted out of it and I had empty shells of breading to eat. It was storming outside the day I visited and the roof sprung a major leak in the center of the main dining room so an already crowded restaurant had to all be moved to the outside walls of the room. Overall a very bad experience.
Probably one of the worst experience and most uncomfortable situations I have ever seen and have been in. Went out Friday July 1st with a few of my black friends for food and drink, the bartender would not serve us because of our race! Denied us of getting drinks because we had too much to drink, so they tell us. 9 of us and we only had 2 rounds of drinks, the waitress that was working the outside patio would not even come to our area because the bartender told them we were all cut off. I will never step foot in that place ever again. This pisses me off! Im a Latino man that loves good company with good food, the bartenders at that place really left a bad taste in my mouth. I never write about places or give reviews, but BEACHWOOD WINKING LIZARD you disgust me!
Service was very slow and didnt return for refills. I sent back my wings twice for being cold and all manager said was sorry and we will take that off your bill. I hope so, I didnt even eat them or ask for them to be replaced after I sent them back cold for the 2nd time!
The food, beer, atmosphere, service, bartenders, and experience is typical of all the other Winking Lizards in the Cleveland area. This one is just a little smaller but that does not take anything away from them, they are still just the same thing you expect from any Winking Lizard so go and enjoy just like I do.
Nice place to meet and have some drinks and they have s nice selection of American and imported beer. Unfortunately the food is not great. Everything is deep-fried and flavours will have to come from sauces. They claim wings are their specialty, but those are disappointing.
Not really impressed... The food was mediocre. Order the fish dinner. A pre-frozen piece of extra greasy fish triangle. The beer was only 10 Oz because of the alcohol content... I figure regulated for profit... I ordered the 20 Oz ginuess. I guess you live and learn, as they say.
Our goto place for dinner out when we are visiting our family in Cleveland. The menu has something for everyone and satisfies both the adults and children in the group. The place is noisy enough that we dont have to worry about the kids being loud. They love the popcorn machine while waiting for their food. The interesting beer selection makies the grownups happy. Lizard Lips are my 3 yo grandsons favorite!
Horrible experience!!! Server was not attentive, let alone couldnt get a simple wing order correct. Food sent back three times. The manager didnt help or make matters better when he came out to speak with us. We will pass on this one in the future. People with poor attitudes shouldnt be in customer service Period!
Same old Winking lizard that youd find anywhere else. Nothing really unique or exceptional about this one. Same giant beer list and even larger menu of standard Americanized food. Oh and this one is pretty much seated in the center of a giant parking lot and has a gas firepit outside. So...yay!
Not sure when the kitchen closes but got there before 1030 on Sunday July 28th and was told so.Ordered bulleit and sprite but got bulleit and soda water and to top it all off I was accused of not paying upon leaving. Why would I return? Sad because they have good wings.
Went after work for dinner with my family. not only was the server, Edgar, not paying attention what was being said to him but he became very argumentative. My sister, who is a vegetarian, specifically said to him that she does not eat meat because of her being a vegetarian & her allergy to onions, she got a salad with PORK & her meal was covered in onions. When we asked for the manager, the manager also was argumentative. Even though he adjusted the bill, the customer service was way below average. not once did Edgar take the time to stand & ask if our food was ok; he asked how’s everything AS HE WAS WALKING BY. A table full of Caucasian people were sat in front of us. He greeted them & treated them more warmly than our party of 6. Needless to say, we will NOT be a customer to the Winking Lizard in Beachwood ever again!
We had a long wait for a large party. They told us on the phone that they would let us use their party room but when we arrived no one knew about it and they said we dont take reservations we talked to someone on the phone 2 different times & were told about the party room. After finally being seated the service was fair
Mostly go here for the skinny dippers fried strips of chicken WITHOUT breading, served with 2 wing sauces of your choice. And because kids love the free popcorn. 3 stars because its an overpriced applebees with 2 gimmicks (lizzard that lives in a terrarium, and free self serve popcorn)
I am a fan of Winking Lizard Taverns in NEO, but this one is hands down the worst in terms of customer service and food preparation/quality. The kitichen closes early (11pm?!) when the bar is open until 2am and no late night menu is provided. The popcorn machine is even shut down at 11pm! Poor customer service. I have come here on several occasions and I am routinely displeased. Do yourself a favor and skip it! Take the time to head over to the Miles Road WLT for a much better food and customer service experience.
Worst experience we have ever had first they dropped pizza on floor when taking out o the oven the server never checked back with us after the food runner dropped our food off, didn’t bring back drink refills then when the pizza finally came out after everyone was done eating it wasn’t fully cooked asked for more drinks and still never got them!!!
This is a good lizard for families, dates, bromance sporting events, and those who like patio fireplacing. Mon and Tues are pizza/wing specials, and Wednesday is the 1/2 rack baby back rib special. Hand wipes included on messy orders like Ribs. Thursday is the burger special. Great selection of beers and gratis popcorn is a nice touch. Bartenders know their stuff. The Original House Salad with shredded Corned beef is a hidden gem. BBQ sauce is tasty on ribs, fries, and wings. Good small pizza specials and I go with toppings of onions, black olives, jalapenos, and pineapple. The WHITE pizza is also good. Malt Vinegar available. Bar gets loaded for sporting events. TVs are nice and large though sometimes I dont care to watch. Good music playing.

2021-08-11Some of the best wings I’ve ever had. Got them as takeout so I can’t say much about the dine in experience. The wings were fried well, not to dry not to wet. They were sauced adequately. I had the 911 flavor of sauce and it was quite spicy. I appreciated the amount of spice as while it was spicy it wasn’t too hot to eat. My nose was running though. The homemade ranch was an added plus. If you like wings, check this place out.

2022-05-27It was my first visit. I had a craving for wings, so I ordered ten pieces of the garlic wings (the flats) for $12.99 with a side order of wild rice for $2.79. The wings were cooked just the way I like them; crispy on the outside, moist on the inside with just enough sauce to taste and cover on the outside. I dont like a lot of sauce so the amount was perfect for me. My side order of wild rice was a generous portion and also cooked perfectly; moist and not dry. My server was polite and friendly and did an excellent job serving my table. The place was very busy. The food was good. And I enjoyed my meal very much. I would recommend this place to wing lovers and others.

2022-01-21The staff and waitress were awesome! From the time we entered the door we were treated great. The food we ordered four different kinds of wings were cooked to perfection along with the fish dinner and sides. I wanted to say Thank You to the staff for finding my missing hat and calling me to let me know. 😊

2022-07-16Our server was wonderful. He made us feel as if we were at his home. The other young ladies not so much. I wanted to give four stars but he was such a delight even though the place was packed and he had a lot on his plate. My only regret is that I didnt take the time to get his name again for remembrance.

2022-07-05So, we came here with some of our friends who are locals. And it was amazing. I love that they have a little popcorn thing for the kids. And I like the the games that they have for the kids. One of my friends and I got some really good drinks there. And we got the shot of the week or whatever and it was the nuts and berries and it tasted like nuts and berries. We got so lit. The food was super good ended up saving most of mine I got the steak and asparagus salad it was so freaking good and then our server was really nice I forgot his name unfortunately but he was hilarious definitely would come back next year

2022-04-23The food was very good. The service was quick. We had the grumpiest waitress. She was efficient but not friendly at all. My whole party agreed. It made the experience a little less fun.
