Westgate Shopping Center in other cities:
A lot to take in- and quite a few staples- like Target, Marshalls and Five Below, Kohls Home Depot Starbucks and *fancy* Applebees (also Chick-fil-A if you dont mind the bigotry- and super high salt content) Books-a-million makes me a happy camper- because book stores are rarer than a shiny Umbreon. Little gems like Dolce Wraps (crazy good Mediterranean wraps and bowls) pop up between the doctors offices and phone stores- basically its a middle class American casserole in plaza form. The one major demerit to me is the walkability... Nestled up to a highschool- so... decent crowd of non-drivers... but basically no crosswalks, or sidewalks except between stores on their little island-blocks.
Parking lots are so badly designed and traffic flow is a dangerous nightmare. That said, there are plenty of great stores, services and restaurants. Heaven help you if you want to walk from Earth Fare to Target, but you can shop at both if you move your car 200 yards between stores.
Dolce Wraps is the only reason I gave Westgate 3 stars rather than 2. Otherwise, its a miserable ocean of parking lots that make it absolutely impossible to walk from one store to another. This should be a centralized location for gathering members of the community. Instead, its every automobile for itself navigating to the stores they need to get in and out of as soon as possible. Its architectural layouts like this that do no favors for the lack of community suburban America suffers from. All that said, and it only gets worse when you consider the fact they tore down an indoor shopping mall (a place where people could actually walk, talk, and hang out) to build this garbage.
Westgate Mall was my favorite mall to browse and shop. The box stores are nice. But, just miss that nostalgia of a mall shopping center. It would also be nice if Westfield, I believe that company manages the property, if they introduced more restaurants on the peripheral land. It would create more job opportunities, as well as bringing more revenue to R.R. and F.P.Newer is always a great change. The older classics are steadfast and always come around again.
It is a strip mall. What more can a person say. The traffic pattern was probably designed from a highschool development project for extra credit. The stores are marked and offer what they do. Chick-fil-A is a bottleneck and target is the middle class trash version of Walmart. Wear protective padding for all the impatient drivers to run you over. The pedestrians are as rude the drivers. That is about it.
I placed an online order with Target and chose to do a contact less pick up. Unfortunately, the lamp wasnt in a bag or a box. The shade was damaged beyond repair. I dont understand why they even attempted to give such an inferior item to begin with. Total waste of time.
All of the shops are good. Salespeople kind. I havent had any problems at any of them and Lowes always has a nice display of flowers. Earth fare has a great green juice at the juice bar. Justice for girls has really cute girlie things. Some quite unique. Famous Shoes I visit bi annually for my kid. Never a problem. Starbucks in Target and independent shop at the front strip. It can get am little crowded but we all know why, yum.
Really nice strip mall area. A store for pretty much everything you could need in one area and many choices for food. Very happy with and surprised by the amount of upkeep and maintenance that goes into the place, never disappointed. Also theres consistency with a lot of stores that have been there for a while and the occasional new store that adds a bit of new energy to the area. All in all my go to when shopping for things other than groceries.
Parking lot is always dirty and the potholes are so big that there starting to become dangerous, the stores are poorly maintained, lots of panhandlers asking for your hard earned money! I would suggest to try to avoid this shopping area but if you have no choice try to shop quickly.
I went to Westgate Shopping Center to the movie theater out there they have a very beautiful Mall but I did not feel very comfortable going to the movie theater out there the people that was there was watching me and my husband we was in lying getting our refreshments we could tell that they were prefer if we did not come out there I spoke the young lady spoke back and was very dry but she was talking to the other people that was in lying when we went to go and be seated we were looked at so that was our second time that we went out there and I have not been back there again I usually go to the one on Ridge Road to that movie theater but we had missed the movie and it was playing at Westgate so we went there
Way better than HomeDepot fot contractors. They dont give you any problems with returns. As a contractor I spend the money to give my clients a choice in products. Then I need to be able to return my unopened products. No problems with Lowes. They even email a receipt to me.Great courteous employees
Love this shopping center for a huge mall-like selection of stores that can be far and few between. Always clean and very safe, well lit. Driving can be a bit chaotic as the paths linking parking lots are curvy and sometimes confusing when paths merge or cross. Be VERY careful as a pedestrian! There almost no sidewalks that go into or through this sea of parking lots and its even harder to determine how to safely cross driving paths when cars are often confused driving them.
Very personable, knowledgeable c eager but not intrusively so, to assist the potential customer, whether it be providing some one, great or small, polite or even,m1some what surly (w/i, reasonable expectations, anything from a change of face masks to guidance to the umbrella display.
I come here often to stop at pet-co for ferret food and treats. There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat and plenty of stores for almost anything you might need, including hobby shops and a few places to take music classes and work out near by. Great location in a great neighborhood.
Nice. It has a lot of fun stores and restaurants. It is near an RTA bus station. It is also near one of my doctors so that is nice. My Compeer group meets at one of the restaurants once a month. The shoe store I like, Szabos, is right across the street. The fact that it has a Five Below is cool.
Great place heres why....all the stores and shops are all right there and you can get anything and everything you could ever need and the parking is great at all stores from target to books a million to world fare. Oh and did I mention there are resturants applebees and longhorn to name a few and more Haha you gotta stop by to eat or maybe get your hair cut at great clips which is cool right next to the Verizon store so you can get a nice new phone. Id like you to stop by lowes too if you need some tools that is cannot wait to see you there next time Im out that way 😁
Its alright. Im not a big fan of the area. Its not very local to me. My psychologist was near here, & I was not pleased with her service, so it dredges up bad memories to be around here. Ive been the 5Below, the Chinese food restaurant, LongHorn, & we tried to go to the fondu place, but it didnt look like it would be worth the $$ spent. This mall may be great for locals, but Im not local. Ill stick to my local mall. Its not their fault that I have bad associations with the area.
Westgate shopping Center is pretty good, although I havent really shopped just mainly go to the movie theater most of the time, but theres a lot of stores and restaurants inside there, and its always pretty busy so must be pretty good lot of options to shop what you need
Westgate has certainly transformed from the 80s-early 2000s when it was an indoor shopping mall, similar to Great Northern. In the mid to late 2000s, they tore down the mall and built up this new location. The only place that survives from the old mall days is Kohls. They have a great selection of stores and ample parking. Highly recommend this shopping center.
Great shopping plaza, I miss the old mall here. They have a T-Mobile, Game Stop, Target, books a million, chick fill a, Applebees, bw3, Earthfare and a Petco. There are many more places and thats just part of whats in the main part of the plaza. If you need something to buy or eat youll find something here.
I had a worker harassing me and threatening me for parking my car in the far end parking lot where NOBODY parks. I call the corporate office to discuss the experience I had with this worker, and the person I spoke with in the corporate office was even more disrespectful. Instead of them being respectful and saying I can longer park there, I was yelled at and talked to like garbage. If the corporate office cant even give respect, I refuse to shop at any store located on their property ever again.
My typical shopping center. Wide range of stores. Can be super busy which includes traffic. My main stops: Marshalls, Target, Earth Fare, Books-a-Million, Ulta, Dressbarn, 5 Below, Chick-fil-a, Buffalo Wild Wings, Enso (hand rolled sushi and to order noodles). Great go to for Christmas shopping but expect craziness.
This places parking lot was clearly designed by intoxicated furry primates. Coming in the main driveway from Center Ridge via left turn, you cannot legally go straight at the first intersection in the lot because of the solid line (which means do not cross). HATE having to get back into my vehicle for personal safety to get from one shop to another but the sidewalks and crosswalks are utterly stupidly laid out, they clearly only did enough pedestrian planning to satisfy the briefest of glances to appearance. I enter/exit via w.210 almost exclusively (its stupidly designed but not nearly as bad as the Center Ridge entrance) and STILL have had many near-miss accidents with inattentive drivers or seen traffic backed up due to not enough space given for turn lanes (exiting to 210 can be an adventure, the line of cars wanting to make the left out is often 10x the volume of cars making a right turn out, but theres only enough space in the left turn lane for about 4 cars - meaning that even though its legal to turn right on red, youre going to be stuck there for a while waiting for the folks that are waiting for the left turn lanes green-light availability... its taken up to 4 light changes during the holiday season for me and thats WITH avoiding the place unless theres no other reasonable option). Not worth the bother, I often drive ~3x as far to go to the same stores at Great Northern or Avon Commons instead just to avoid the parking lot layout stupidity.
Typical suburban shopping center. On the plus side, you can park near the store. On the minus side, if you need to go to multiple stores, you will need to navigate through various parking lots and driveways. No safe way to walk between them. There are a number of clusters of stores, lots of restaurants and a Lowes and a Kohls.
Ive been going to Westgate for years now because they have so many different businesses there. My optometrist works there and they have different stores, from Target to Books a Million to Five below to a jeweler to an electronics store to Earth Fare to Justice to Five Guys a pet supply store and more! It really has so many businesses that its the perfect place to go, whether to find a specific product or just to have dun for a few hours!
There is insufficent handicapped parking at this shopping center. Especially on the side by Books a Million, there are no handicapped parking spaces in front of that store, there are 3 along the side of the store that is shared with other stores. It isnt the book stores fault, its the management companys fault for not providing adaquate handicapped parking.
Abt a 3.5 for me. Ulta, Target, Marshalls, a pet store, Earth Fare, a book store, Maurices, Kohls.....outdoor strip mall where just abt everything I need is. Wish it wasnt a strip mall - the old westgate was enclosed; oh well. A few banks also in close proximity down the road, & behind the mall is a small park to walk the path & a small playground.
I shop at Petco ..Books a MillionAnd a couple other retail stores. Both Petco and the bookstore have helpful clerks and both have a variety of products. My only complaint is that Westgate used to be an enclosed shopping mall but it us not like that now. In northern Ohio we can get some brutal winter weather and having to walk from one store to another is far from pleasant...plus the stores are spread out too much. That is why I only shop in two places. I also found Lens Crafter employees pretty cold and the frames are much more expensive there for the same frames I found elsewhere

2022-06-26The AT&T store at Westgate has the best staff in the area. My favorite thing about Westgate is there is always somewhere to park, but also easy bus access when I dont feel like driving.

2021-12-29I got glasses at Americas Best. I think theres a lot of good stuff over here, the parking was a little tricky though. When peak traffic surges the parking lots get close to maximum pretty quick. The spots seemed to open up pretty regularly though. I didnt really meander into the back of the area to see what all was there, but theres a ton. Itd keep you busy all day if you wanted to just hang out and walk around.

2022-04-09This place has a lot of cool stores and places to eat. Some weekends we will get Curb-side pick up at Applebees. We can drive through Chick-fil-A for a busy weeknight meal in between jazz band and soccer practice. We can stroll through Target during the holidays when we tire of scrolling through Amazon. The people at Verizon are always friendly and helpful. My friends always enjoy BW3 for our fantasy football draft. Getting lost among the shelves at Books-a-Million is a treat. It is great to have so many shopping and dining options so close to home.
