Dr Horvath and all of the support staff were so kind and helpful. My pup needed to be seen on very short notice and they were able to squeeze her into their busy day and gave quality care. I will definitely be bringing both my dogs back here in the future. They have walk ins on Sundays and accept Care Credit.
We have been taking our pets here for many years, always well taken care of and loved. And when the time comes to say good-bye to your baby, they are unbelievably caring. I would never take my four-legged babies anywhere else and always recommend them when someone asks.
One of the best veterinary experiences I’ve ever had. Dr. Kiene and Lindsay were so professional while making our dog (who is usually terrified at the vet) love them both. Will be coming back here for all of her needs and will bring our other dog as well.
We had a really scary situation with both of our dogs experiencing stomach issues, brought them both in on separate days for care. I can not say enough good things about this vet, even though this was not either one of my dogs primary care vet, the staff here took both of my pups in with open arms. Doctor Damien Giancola is by far the best vet I have ever had take care of my dogs. He is very knowledgable and caring and can tell that he is very passionate about his job and his patients. He had no problem hearing all of my concerns and reassuring me with any concern. I recommend this vet to anybody, by far the best vet in Columbus. Not to mention that their front desk staff is so sweet. I was more than confident in leaving my dogs in their care.
This place is absolutely amazing. We had a very difficult situation that needed to be resolved asap and they did everything and more they could to help my almost 2 year old. I will forever and more recommend this vet to everyone that would ever ask. The doctor we had Jeremy, absolutely amazing, cares about not only the pet but informing the pet owner of everything that is going on. Can’t say anything but amazing things about this place. Also the vet techs Jennifer and Jeanette absolutely amazing also, they loved my bubba boy just like there own.
Dr. Miller at West Vets is THE BEST VET EVER. She is so patient with my adopted papillon mix. When we first started going there, my little guy was so anxious and Dr. Miller never gave up on him. She even told me how much she just wants to cuddle him. West Vets truly goes above and beyond with their care and compassion for animals. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
We are new to Columbus and had no idea where to take our min-pin when he had an abscessed tooth. So happy to have found West Vet! They were able to get my dog in as a Sunday walk in. They were quick and efficient and everyone from the front desk to the veterinarian were kind and wonderful! This will be our go-to vet from now on!
I honestly cant think of anything that would make our visit better! Everyone was so helpful and patient with Clem. (Not to mention that I was absolutely comfortable at West Vet.)I trust the treatment that she had completely. Dr Kiene is super. Our cat, Clementine, can be a cranky curmudgeon, but she was very good for them at the Clinic. This is high praise.Shes doing very well now after her eating a stringy object blockage scare - she is not a huge fan of the medication, but I have a sneaking suspicion that she enjoys the attention.Also, thanks a million to them for the unflappable assistance with getting her together to go. Sometimes she needs extra suggestion...Cheers!
I loved this vet! They were amazing! I unfortunately moved States so I had to find a new Vet but they made sure I had all the medical records for a smooth transition, even checked out my Finn to ensure it was safe for him to travel. If you live in Ohio I definitely recommend them!!
We took our wonderful mastiff mix to Westerville Vet Clinic last night in urgent circumstances and found them to be absolutely exemplary. Our dog Sirius, who is six years old and only three weeks out from ACL surgery, was attacked by another dog in our neighborhood in the early evening. I was initially worried about his leg, but a few minutes later discovered the other dog had taken a pretty substantial chunk of flesh out of his chest.Because our own local vet clinic was closed, we initially drove to MedVet, who had performed his ACL surgery. They checked him over and found him to be stable but in need of care; because they had critical cases ahead of us, it meant we had a six to eight hour wait. Our dog was extremely anxious (hed just had major surgery in exactly that location three weeks earlier!) and they were concerned that he would over-stress his surgically repaired leg, so they recommended we take him home and try calling in periodically, or try another vet. On Google Maps, I saw that Westerville Vet Clinic was still open, so we crossed our fingers and called.From the tech who answered that first call to the doctor who stitched him up, EVERYONE was kind, competent, compassionate, and professional. They had to put him into a twilight state to trim, clean, and suture the wound. Nonetheless, they had us in and out within an hour. Our pup walked out drowsy, but all stitched up and on his own feet.I do want to note that while Sirius is friendly, laid back, and very sweet, hes also very large (105 lbs.) and can seem intimidating to people who dont know any better. The entire staff at Westerville Vet Clinic wasnt at all intimidated by his size, so he was his usual sweet and trusting self despite being in pain. Im so grateful that they were able to put him at ease under awful circumstances.I hope no one reading this experiences the kind of traumatic event that requires urgent care, but if you do, I recommend Westerville Veterinary Clinic wholeheartedly. We are so grateful for their wonderful care of our sweet boy.
The people at WestVet are amazing dedicated professionals.They have taken care of our pets in the worst of times and we share the best as well. I know I can count on them.Daycare is awesome. Health care is better.
I just took my old min pin here today for our first visit, which first of all-wow, Saturday hours😍!!!! I love my dog so much and have tried a variety of methods to train her to not be aggressive to strangers to no avail. For the 13 years Ive had her, our vet visits together at other veterinarians have been largely traumatic and left me concerned for her health in her senior years, as many vets will outright turn us away. ive literally cried after visits when I have been severely chastised for bringing her in and told I was a bad dog owner for wanting medical care for my troubled canine.The staff here was soooo patient and understanding with her. She was able to be examined and the staff was overall just really kind and thorough. I cant express the relief I felt today, first of all in getting her issue addressed, and secondly knowing that I have somewhere to get her care as she advances in years. She was honestly the best shes ever been at a vet visit (and she was still very fear aggressive here) which, though a baby step, is a testament to the kind care we received. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.❤️❤️

Life savers... Miranda, Jesi, and Jeanette saved my snake. Of all the places I called on easter no one could help get my snake unstuck from a log I called this location and they were more than happy to help me and my snake poppy. Thank you so much!! We arrived and they had her or of the long in seconds. Would 100% recommend this location for pet needs.
The staff is VERY friendly, and even though my dog gets antsy at the vet they made it an easy and enjoyable visit! Fast and thorough. Love them!
I highly recommend Westerville Veterinary Clinic. My wife and I had to say goodbye to our girl Bubbles, and they helped in every way possible. Our regular vet was closed on Sunday, so we found this location. They were kind, caring, and helpful every step of the way. I cannot express our gratitude enough for us never been there before. We were with our girl until the very end. We miss you Bubbles. Anyone reading this go and give your pet extra love. When it happens, it happens quickly, and you might not have a chance again.
I highly recommend Dr. Kiene! Very good, especially with FELV/FIV+ cats. He’s very understanding! I felt like my kitty Oden was really taken care of & taken seriously despite his condition. Hard to find that sometimes! Great ladies up front as well :)
We have been bringing both our dogs here since we got them, they are both 4. We have them on the insurance plan and are so grateful for the care we received Saturday night. We have not needed to use the emergency/after hours service in the 4 years we have had them, and we were treated so kindly when we were so scared. The doctor was so gentle with Koda, and explained everything he did and why. The assistant was also so gentle, and petted Koda the whole time and was talking so sweetly to him to try and keep him calm. They ended up doing an xray, and the doctor brought us back to the room and pointed out the xray and explained the situation in terms we could understand. Then they let us sit on the floor with Koda as he woke up from the sedation and explained the medication he would need to take, when and why. It was 9pm on Saturday of 4th of July weekend and they did not rush anything or seem the slightest bit annoyed they were there for us at that time. They made us feel so comfortable and reassured that Koda was in the best care. We told all of our friends and family how wonderful they were and recommend them to anyone with a pet they call family!
Our little guy broke one of his claws on a Crack in our sidewalk on a Saturday morning and these guys were awesome and got Willie patched up and on on his way back home! I highly recommend this Veteraniran. Convenient location, great hours, but most of all the staff is the best, they really do care about your pets, they were so cool to Willie and I.
The staff at the clinic and the Vet are all so kind and courteous! They work so hard and care for each of the animals as if they are their own. I always feel confident in handing over either of my boys as I know they will get the best care! The vet never tries to do unnecessary tests/procedures and always tells me her honest opinion. My boys never want to leave and end needing to be carried out because they are spoiled with lovins and treats while being seen. Would 100% recommend this clinic to everyone!
Westerville Veterinary Clinic is helping my cats live a long and happy life! The staff and doctors are kind and attentive, and they have always given me excellent advice and quality assurance when it comes to caring for my pets.
I love the staff at West vet theyll make you feel like family and treat your animals like Kings/Queens. They literally saved my dogs life with an emergency surgery, and their premium health plan helped us so much. Our bill without the plan was upwards of 3 grand, we left with a 1000 dollar bill. They also have a doggie daycare which is amazing as I have a pit/lab mix and theyre super energetic. My dog is always worn out and super happy after playing with all the other pups. I highly, highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! (The photos attached are my pup after his surgery)
I went here in late 2021, with the pandemic setup of dropping your pet off and doing it over the phone. I want to give them some leeway because I know the pandemic is hard. But they were late to the appointment by 20 minutes, and then they delivered a $225 bill, but the vet couldn’t talk to me about any of it because he was busy. I have left two calls with their office asking for a basic update on how my dog is doing, which I think should take 5 minutes, but all I have heard is they are busy and don’t have time for me. This is the most expensive vet visit I have ever had, even though my dog is 100% healthy, and I am fine paying a higher rate so long as the care is professional. This one felt like it was performed by college kids at best.
My German shepherd is very anxious and not the most cooperative! But the office took the time to hear out my concerns and try to get her to trust them. This will definitely be our new go to for vet services. The person that took us back to the room I believe was Taylor she was so sweet! And the gentleman doctor (can’t remember his name) really seemed to care about getting my girl feeling better. Thank you!
My 120 pound Lab/Rottweiler Bruno has extreme anxiety about going to the vet until, hopefully, now! The entire staff at the Westerville Veterinary Clinic was supportive and went out of their way to make sure Bruno was comfortable and had plenty of positive reinforcement to shift his negative feelings about going to the vet. They really seemed to care and take Brunos overcoming of his anxiety personally.
Honestly you all took Sophie in early on a walk in day, having never seen her before. You treated me with so much empathy and were super helpful through the stress of worrying if my cat was sick.Not only that, when my cat was still not feeling well later that day, I called back to see if that was normal. The person answering the phone made it a point to speak to the vet so I knew whether to worry or not and said it was okay to leave her be overnight and bring her back in in the morning if things didn’t improve. And they even said they wouldn’t charge me an emergency fee to do that in the morning (which is very kind). When Sophie felt better in the morning and didn’t need to go back to be seen, they still called to check on her since I hadn’t called, which was also very kind. Honestly, the level of care at every step was awesome! I will absolutely be transferring our care over to you and am so happy!
Honestly never been so impressed at a vets office! Brought my 8 month old cat to get neutered and it was amazing. Very informative when I called to schedule and still blown away with how friendly, warm and caring the front desk staff is!!!! Vet answered all of my questions and didn’t make me feel rushed. 10/10 would recommend bringing your babies here. I’ll be switching my 5 year old cat to West Vet too. Love them!!!
Complete scam of a veterinary clinic. We came in for an eye exam only and they gave us a bill for $99 for a physical exam and another bill for $50 for an eye exam. We never authorized a physical exam we were never told one was being performed and we would be charged for it. They just added it to the bill hoping we wouldnt notice. The worst part is our dog clearly has a few cysts and the vet said she was healthy. So not only did they perform an examination and charged us for it they also did a HORRIBLE JOB of a physical examination. Poor quality and true lack of care. When we brought up our grievances to the front desk JENNIFER literally said I dont care. They do not care about you or your pet, its only a money scheme to them and Im embarrassed for them that they would have someone like Jennifer in their establishment who verbally doesnt care for anyone whose just trying to help their dog. She was very argumentative and didnt try to help whatsoever, only told us we were wrong, too bad, and I dont care. Truly an eye sore for anyone in the health field. Absolutely appalling experience.
My rescues fully come out of their shells and never tuck their tails!! Totally worth an hour drive. The staff is friendly, considerate, and most importantly they are patience
Our family cat Blue Boy was in kidney failure and unfortunately had to be suddenly euthanized. They fit us into our schedule and did blood work and supportive care in a timely manner and were wonderful explaining everything, and even spoke with me over the phone to explain his case as I work in another veterinary clinic.The whole team was so professional and kind, Dr. Marie,Skylar, the rest of reception and the technicians were wonderful and comforted us during this hard time. They took great care of blue boy and i know they loved him well for the short time they got to meet him. I would recommend Dr. Marie for quality veterinary care .
Everyone there was so awesome today and treated my dog so well and listened to me, very great with how they tell you the pricing before they do anything further so you’re aware of how much your bill will be, I will always come back here for anything emergency wise I need!!! Lilo says thank you for making her feel a little better.

I just had my 13 year old Chihuahuas teeth cleaned on Friday and appreciated the thorough and thoughtful care of WestVets. He had a slightly elevated level in his blood work, so they rechecked it before even thinking of putting him under anesthesia. As soon as he was finished I was called to know he did well and when to pick him up. I also got a phone call on Monday to check on him. I truly feel that the staff at this clinic cares about each and every patient, as they make a fuss over my pets every time. Thanks so much! – Ringo & Carissa Hershey.
West Vet is truly amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure all of my familys concerns are addressed and always makes us feel welcome. We have been clients since last year and the staff at West vet are so nice and understanding. My pup Watson is always super excited to go there. Would highly recommend!
We have taken our dog here since the day we got him and I’ll never go anywhere else. The front office staff is always helpful, We love the vet staff, and the health care plan is worth every penny and saves us so much. Highly recommend and will continue to take all our future furry friends here.
Only just started seeing them and they have given such great care for my pet! They are very thorough and caring with both my dog and me. Wonderful follow through and communication. Even spoke with me after hours when I was worried about my dogs reaction to her vaccines. They are awesome! Would not want to go anywhere else for my pet.
The experience couldnt be better! I love everyone at the clinic they always help me with every question I throw at them. Wellie is my problem child and the clinic has only been helpful and amazing. I thank everyone at the front desk, every tech who helps Wellies wounds and especially Dr. Herada. Wellie was struggling in heat and Dr. Herada said she could spay her the next day. Wellie has been so happy and her normal loving self again. She thanks me every day with a kiss on the top of my head. Its adorable. Thank you all again, I love you all. Thank you. Thank you. Westerville Veterinary Clinic is the best! All of the staff truly care about my animals. I have used them since moving to the area 5 years ago. They cried along with me when I lost my first dog, and celebrated with me when I got a new puppy and continue to love on her. Both of my dogs loved/love coming here. It’s so nice to see how excited Cinder gets when she knows we are heading there. She can hardly contain her excitement. That tells me they take care of and treat her like their own. I know I don’t have to worry when I leave her at the daycare or for an appointment. Dr. Hereda is great. She takes the time to answer any and all of my questions. I highly recommend Westerville Veterinary Clinic.
We took our 3 month old yorkie (Kane) today for his 3rd set of puppy shots and he was treated by Dr. Damian Giancola and we just love him, he explained everything in detail, the whole team was amazing and so nice we are definitely glad to be a member.

This is by far the best vet clinic I have ever been too. You and your pet are more then a dollar sign to these people! They take the time to explain all and any procedures they recommend, and there is never any pressure. I started going to them during the pandemic and despite the rain, the doctor took the time to come to my car and explain to me what was going on with my pet. That extra mile meant the world to me and let me know that they really want to assure my pet is given the highest quality of care. Every single staff member I have interacted with have had a smile on their face and were ready to answer any questions I had. I could not recommend this clinic enough and to top it off they offer affordable rates for all services! I won’t go to anyone else!
Great, they take care my dog very good. My 1 year old Kin Kin loves people here a lot, he is happy to see all the people here. He is a better boy everytime he be here, people here give him love, they all so nice friendly and honesty, professional. We love here a lot, feel so comfortable. We appreciate all the people here. And the spa grooming is great,too. Make my dog more handsome, his hair so smooth after that. You should come hereP/s: my Kin Kin used to cough a lot when he was a puppy, and vet and people here treated for him no more coughing, and no more diarrhea. Kin Kin so happy now. Ive been taking my dog here since he was a puppy. He will be 7 years old this year so weve been coming here for awhile. The entire team is amazing from the Vets, Techs and Front desk staff. Everyone here loves what they do and it shows. They are super caring and always go above and beyond for their clients. My dog loves it here as well. Hes always excited to see everyone.
From the first phone call I made in July 2021 to the last one I received in mid August 2021, I am very impressed. The office staff was friendly and professional. The staff who brought my dog in for her first visit was the same. The vet Dr. Marie Hereda was as well. Then the office made a follow up call after our visit, then Dr. Marie made a different one. Plus the office sent two follow up emails and she sent a wonderfully detailed one after our conversation. I loved the veterinary care we had from South Mill Pet Care in Boardman, but we moved down to Westerville. I am ever so grateful to find this new veterinary care for our dear twelve year old dog.
This was a very bad experience for me and my puppy. I brought a brand new 8 week old puppy for its first visit and to get started on some vaccines. Not once did the vet or tech give my dog a treat or try to make it feel comfortable. Instead, they manipulated and prodded my dog and called her stubborn when she wiggled just a little for the thermometer. On top of this, I had to repeat myself to multiple different people in order to get what I came for. This was super disappointing, especially considering their website mentions force free. Vets are scary enough for dogs, but there is a lot that can be done to make it more okay - instead my puppy was more terrified. I spent too much money to be unhappy with the service. Please take caution if bringing your dog.
My Golden is 9 yrs old and really never around anyone but our family. She is Leary of people and different places. When we take her to the Westerville Vet Clinic she goes right to the Tech and actually puts her head on their leg! They are so professional and personable and really care about the pets and their owners! The Vet is always very thorough and explains everything in detail. We trust them totally ! Great people great care.

My puppy Phoenix was sick and I didn’t know what to do so I looked up a few emergency vets and found west vets! I’m so glad they were able to see us! From the phone call to the veterinarians and the doctor. Everyone was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and caring. I didn’t feel like I was bringing just another animal to the clinic which I can appreciate. I’ve found a vet for my baby girl! Thank you!
2 weeks ago I had make a very difficult decision to put one cats down. They were very supportive in that decision. They said there could be options to possibly help him but it was a slight chance it would help him. So I made the difficult decision and put Socks down. They told me about the option of getting his ashes back from Schrodinger Funeral Home. I went for that option. I got his ashes back quickly. Earlier this week I got a condolence card signed by the staff and Socks paw print. I cant thank them enough for the support that was given to me about that hard decision I had to make.
West Vets has been a godsend for our family and our dog Teddy. Dr. Giancola is the most caring doctor I have ever met - for humans or animals. The staff there is so compassionate and professional. My dog is very sick and the only thing that gives me relief is knowing he’s in their care...because I know how much they care about the animals and will do everything for them. I would recommend this vet to anyone.
I recently moved to the New Albany area and was recommended to use West Vets for all of my cats needs. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. The Vet office is taking all precautions during these covid times. I pulled up, called them, and they came out to the car. I wish I could have went in with my cat, but I understand with covid19, I couldnt. They took good care of my cat and told me everything they did and everything I need to do to make sure my cat lives a full and happy life. Highly recommend!
I love the staff at Westerville Vet Clinic! They are always so friendly and accommodating and work to get your fur baby in quickly. We have seen both Dr. G and Dr. Marie Hereda and both vets have been super informative and I have never felt pressured in anyway. They truly have your pets best interest at heart. I love the vet techs here also as you can tell they truly care about the amazing work they do to keep your fur baby healthy. 10/10 recommend!
I don’t think it would be possible to do a better job of taking care of our dog. The Doctors and Staff are the best we have ever experienced in the areas of Care, Expertise, and Customer Service. Going anywhere else would be a disappointment not only for our dog, but for us as well.
I wont be going back to this vet because of how rude Taylor was on the phone to me. Most people dont like to get charged for things they werent told about in advance. A good customer service rep would not say I dont know what to tell you and speak over you when you call to ask why you got charged for something. I expected an apology and refund(for this one instance), but instead I was given attitude and no resolution. Since I wasnt aware of the charge before hand.. I wasnt prepared and it took away from my grocery money. I work in the industry. I know that dealing with people can be challenging. Im giving 3 stars because I really enjoyed the customer service up until now. The staff and my dog seemed to get along great. Im really disheartened to find a different vet. Transparency is key.
We had an emergency with our miniature Schnauzer early on a Sunday morning. I called our vet, West Vets, and as usual they were kind, responsive, and amazing to work with. Even as I cried on the phone! They were able to not only calm me down but they got our tiny girl in right away. They kept in constant communication during the process and explained every step to us! The staff at West Vets are amazing! ♡
All the staff is courteous and caring. I have never had such a positive and caring experience with a veterinary practice in many years. My skittish fraidy-cat seemed to enjoy her visit as well.

Thank you for being so thorough in your analysis. Vet/surgeon/analysis lab discovered stones in our 12 yr old pugs bladder. They were completely unknown and were ticking time bombs. Never would have seen this coming. This could have been a very serious complication that we could not have handled financially. Not looking forward to surgery but clearly our Jacky will be in good competent hands.
Westerville Vet saved my Kittys life! I had the best experience here from beginning to end! They were able to get Sully in right away and perform emergency surgery. The doctor was so informative and took the time to explain the situation to me. You can tell he truly cares for others pets and he conducts his practice accordingly. I have never seen a more compassionate veterinary staff. Everyone here is so sweet and great with animals especially when theyre in pain. They even have an on-call staff and stay available for emergencies through the night! I will be back here for sure and I want to spread the word about how great this place is so everyone knows to come here! Wish I could rate 1000 stars!
I took my dog here on a emergency appointment. I told them that he had been vomiting quite a bit. He had a chew hide/bone that I also told them he ate. They determined that was issue and he had an upset stomach. I got him home and he still had the same issues, he kept vomiting but after paying such a high bill and him still being sick, I was a bit apprehensive to take him back. I called another vet and explained his symptoms and told them about the chew/rawhide. They instructed me to check his feces and see if they were normal, and it turns out he had worms. I’m pretty disappointed that I took him here and he was misdiagnosed. I wasted a nearly $500 and he was still very sick. I do think I may look for another vet. I’m just glad that I got a second opinion because if let untreated his worms could have gotten much worse.
I have been a client at Westerville VeterinaryClinic for a very long time and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my cats. The staff is always professional, extremely caring and well versed on the latest treatments. They are available 24/7. I’ve even had to call on Christmas Eve and Easter and they’ve responded. It is such a comfort knowing they are there for you and your pet.
We loved West Vet in Westerville! They got us in right in when our dog was sick! They are reasonably priced and very professional. Dr. Maria is great! I’m so happy we found a vet that we love. They also have an app that is really easy to use and has all of your dogs medical history on it.
I love this place and so does my puppy Yoko. Westerville vet has been taken care of my puppy every since I got her at 6 weeks and she loves going there and the staff is always pleasant. The monthly membership they offer is well worth it also. It gives me a peace of mind knowing if something happens to my dog she has a place to go and they always answer rather that be by phone or the app.
Weve been taking our dog here for two years and could not be happier with the service. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. I have always felt like they truly care about our dog and her health. Theyve provided suggestions for new treatments as she is now getting older, but were never pushy about it and even told us that there are over the counter options if we wanted to go that route, which tells me that theyre not in it for money, but for the love of the animals.

Wonderful staff, great vets. They treat our pets and the owners like family. Our dog had surgery for cancerous growth, Great care, even had to take him to clinic at 1 am night after surgery as he was crying in pain. Vet & tech met me and were very helpful. Premium plan saved us over $1000 on surgery. It has paid for itself multiple times over through the years we have been enrolled. Location very convenient to our home.
I live an hour away and continue to take my dogs to Westerville Vet. All employees genuinely care about the pets and take all concerns seriously. I was worried about my dog last night and they told me to drive up after hours to check him out. I truly appreciate the caring and loving people who work here and will continue to do business with them.
I had to bring my 10 week old puppy in because she was having some digestive issues that were worrying me. It was a Sunday and they only do walk-ins so there was about an hour wait. The receptionists were apologetic but very friendly and conversational, which made the time go by faster. The vet and techs we met were wonderful and explained everything thoroughly. They genuinely cared about my puppy and put my mind at ease! Frankie says thank you too :)
We have been with Westerville Veterinary Clinic for years, and they have always provided excellent service and care for our pets. Always friendly, polite, and extremely up-to-date on services and techniques.
After having a TERRIBLE experience at another Columbus vet- my friend, Gerardina works here and offered to help get us in to see my puppy after her surgery. They got us in right away! When we showed up we called to let them know we were out front and within minutes they came out to take our puppy, Addi, inside. She’s a larger German Shepard and they showed no fear of her like our previous vet. After her exam the DOCTOR came out to let us know how our puppy is. I’ve never been to a vet where the doctor herself comes out to meet with you (Since COVID). We are so thankful for Dr. Miller and Gerardina for taking such gold care of Addi and the rest of the staff for being so kind. Addi loves them and we’re excited to return. After our previous vet experience, they really put our minds to ease and we know she’s safe with them!
Everyone is absolutely amazing here. Dr. G is just wonderful and has helped us get our rescued German Shepherd puppy healthy. He is so personable and I love that he insists on coming out to our vehicle and talk with us himself even for a simple visit. Our pup clearly loves the staff too.
They are definitely more expensive than our old vet but so worth it! We have a senior cat with asthma and our old vet basically just handed us an in hailer and steroids and expected us to know what to do with them. They also told us the price of the in hailer would be almost $300 every 1-2 months! The Westerville animal clinic not only broke everything down for us on how to give a cat an in hailer, but also helped us find a website to order her medication for only $50! We also had an incident with our new schnauzer puppy and called them. It was 8 at night and they still let us come for an exam so we could make sure she was ok. This vet is the absolute best!
I can’t say thank you enough! These guys not only saved my cats life but comforted me when I was in tears. Hugged me when I was scared. Worked with me financially. I absolutely recommend them. Fantastic attitudes toward my pets and myself. Every employee treats my dogs well and shows genuine concern. They were extremely responsive to me before I became a client by taking care of my puppy who was bitten and had blood all over when I brought her in. Their reactions were immediate and purposeful. Pokey is now 8 months and youd never know she went through that horrific injury. They treat her and my other dog like they are part of their own family.
The doctors, nurses, technicians and staff at the Westerville Vetrenary Clinic truly went above and beyond to give our dog Bug the best care imaginable. We are so appreciative of all they did to save our little boy. Their knowledge, kindness, and support are all things we will forever be grateful for... but most of all that they saved Bugs life.
Weve taken both of our dogs here for 6 years now. All of the staff is wonderful and we love the vets. They give you an estimate of the cost before they do anything. The last year, weve had quite a few vet emergencies and they have been so gracious to us and taken great care of our pets. I recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet!

This was our first visit to WestVets. I was able to schedule a pretty last minute appointment for my sick cat even though I was a new client. They followed up on communication as promised, and the appointment itself was on time and efficient. The staff was very friendly and they did not try to talk me into any sort of procedure or service we didn’t need. We had a great experience!
Dr. G and his staff go above and beyond to care for animals. They took their time answering questions and did an amazing job with my reactive frenchie. 1000% recommend!
This place is incredible. They have been there for the last 3+ years assisting and helping and provide care for my cat, Sly. This includes going above and beyond their treatment and staying just inside “business” hours. He’s had to have emergency surgery well into the late of night and the doctors and techs have been nothing short of amazing at keeping me updated and going over all options. I’ve reached out to them via their FB messenger page after hours and they responded without hesitation and provided answers and help in minutes.Don’t even think about choosing another vet, these men and women treat their animals like their own, and are 100% there for both you, and your pets.
My dogs and I travel quite a bit, and this is the vet that we see when we are in Westerville. I really appreciate how warm the staff is. I feel like they really put in the effort to make my pup feel welcomed when she was nervous on our first visit. My pups have visited a few times during this covid-19 situation for routine appointments, and I feel like they are handling this situation very well.
When we moved to Westerville last year we wanted to give them a try and we are very pleased that we did. We take both of our dogs and really enjoy the staff. We always go right back to a room and the wait time is minimal. They are so friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately we had to put one of our dogs down a couple months ago due to cancer that they were able to detect in its early stages and were able to give her the best quality of life that they could. But they took a very tough experience and made it as easy as possible for us.
I absolutely love the staff at Westerville Vet. They are always so caring and genuinely happy to see my baby boy Claude. They are very understanding that vet visits are very stressful for both Claude and myself. Claude is much stronger than I am and a very anxious boy when it comes to his appointments so to have staff members there to ease our minds at appointments and just be overly helpful in general has been amazing. I highly recommend west vet to anyone in the area looking.
Today I brought my cat in to the vet for an emergency visit for her eye. It was swollen shut and just horrific.. no clue as to what happened. After searching all morning for a place that would see her, my friend recommended Westervillle Vet. This was the best recommendation given. With incredibly short notice they were able to see her. The veterinarian and staff were impeccable. They showed great concern not only for her eye, but her overall comfort. They provided some of the best care Ive seen. It’s been about 9 hours since our visit and her eye swelling has gone down tremendously and is looking so much better. I wish I could give more than just five stars, because they truly are worth more than that. Thank you for such stellar care with Coconut!
Absolutely nothing could make the experience any better. Everyone that I have encountered there is terrific at their job and has gone above and beyond in making each visit a great experience for not only Sugar and Gemma but myself as well. Even in the emotional time with Missy, I couldnt have asked for a more caring group of people.
After numerous visits with other vets, Westerville Vet Clinic has matched every need we have, every time! All vets are not as knowledgeable in giant breeds dogs, and we were so impressed by Dr. Giancolas knowledge in this area. Everyone has been extremely accommodating and helpful with our numerous issues with one of our big dogs. We had an emergency with our Great Pyrenees puppy in the middle of the night and while we did consider taking him to MedVet, we decided to contact WVC first, and Dr. Giancola had us bring Bob in, even though it was 1am. Skylar and Dr. Giancola met us at the clinic very quickly, and Im forever grateful because Bob ended up having to stay for a few days, and was much more ill than we realized. Dr. Giancola educated us on what was happening every step of the way. Weve taken all of our pets here for years, and even when it was time for our pets to cross the Rainbow Bridge, the care and compassion that we were given was extraordinary. Even though we have a decent vet within walking distance of our house, we still travel to Westerville because we trust them, and there is nothing more important than trusting the people who care for our pets. Added bonus-they offer their own pet insurance which covers a lot, including emergencies! You wont find a better group to care for your pet and treat them like they were their own. Our pets actually are excited when we pull into the parking lot! Weve also boarded our dogs and also had them groomed! They do it all at WVC!
We have been taking Socks, our dog, to the Westerville Veterinary Clinic since we got her in June 2016. They have taken care of her like we do. The care she has received is as good as it can be. Having the premium insurance is wonderful. We have saved a lot while Socks gets excellent care.
Went in with an emergency and they were able to find space immediately. They got us taken care of and I didn’t feel like they were after my money. I felt like they were truly trying to help. Will be taking my dog here from now on.
Got us in last minute for an ear infection that popped up for our dog Triton while our vet was closed. They were very busy but got them in and out cleaned out his ears and gave him some medicine and hes feeling a lot better we really appreciate it
They were so amazing with my dog Buckeye who gets really nervous and anxious at the vet! Ive brought two kittens I rescued here as well and they have always done an amazing job getting me in and taking care of my animals! They dont try to push unnecessary treatments on you either for your money. I love it here!
I started using Westerville Veterinary Clinic when I first moved to Westerville. My dog had an emergency and they fit me in, even though I wasnt a patient at the time. Since then, I have been a client. They give great care and the doggy daycare is wonderful.
First lmpressions. I signed up for the long term plan on my first visit. They caught my dog up on all of his shot but overlooked trimming his nails and I had to go back the next day and allow them to correct the oversight. They are a little on the expensive side so I am going to pay a little more but expect their service to make up for that. I am on their extended plan so they will have a chance to correct not grooming his nails.
I was nervous about how my cat would react to the vet since she was vocally nervous in new surroundings. However, the vet let my cat stay in her crate which she preferred instead of taking her to the back where the noise would of spooked her. The examine was quick and the reasons for her being brought in addressed and treated along with and all my questions about proper care answered. From the front desk staff to the vet the visit went smoothly. I would highly recommend.
Our dog was not acting like himself for a couple of days. It was a Sunday afternoon when it finally got to the point that I knew he needed to be seen. I called Westerville Vet. Clinic (because they were the first place I could find that was actually open on a Sunday afternoon) and they said come right over. We got there and within an hour we knew he was in very serious condition. He needed his spleen removed. We gave the go ahead for them to complete the surgery. We brought our fur baby home the following afternoon and he is getting back to his old self. This team was informative, compassionate, thorough, and QUICK to catch what was wrong and QUICK to act! Our baby is still here because of their care!
Great veterinary clinic. The staff is always willing to help us out with any questions or concerns we may have with our pet. They treat us and our pet with such kindness. Always completely satisfied with the service we receive. I can’t imagine finding better prices for the service they provide👍🏼❤️

A few months back I was stuck in a bad predicament and was even contemplating on giving me pup up because I had no home for him. I contacted this vet and they offered to care and board him for me until I was settled. 4 months later I established a home and got my pup back. The ENTIRE office loves him but a guy name Skyler really showed his appreciation for not only his breed but my pup in general. Everything they have done has been a blessing. If you can’t tell I would definitely recommend this vet!! Once again thanks guys you know who I am.
The technicians are kind, patient, & down to earth. I did highly recommend until I had to deal with the veterinarian owner, who is the opposite. He has a horrible bedside manner to the owners. I willNot be renewing my healthcare plan and have taken my pets out of his care.
I can’t say enough good about the staff, and the Dr. My dog is not a patient, but I needed to bring him in for an emergency visit. They saw him very quickly, they were friendly, and kind. I am so grateful! I highly recommend them!
Mine and my boyfriends dog suffered a bite wound from another dog. We called on a Sunday morning and they told us we could bring him in ASAP. We arrived, filled out paperwork, and the vet tech took him inside (we couldn’t stay due to COVID-19) and let us know they would be calling with info from the vet. I received a phone call 30 minutes later advising our dog needed either option 1) staples or option 2) to be put under anesthesia to make incisions to better close the wound. The vet used quite a bit of veterinary jargon, but we decided strongly against anesthesia and requested the staples, also the cheaper option. The vet sighed into the phone, almost seeming disappointed in our decision and let me know he would begin the process shortly, as the room he needed access to was unavailable at that moment. 3 hours later and we hadn’t heard a single thing. I called for an update, and the woman I spoke with on the phone was annoyed at me for calling and asking if they had any sort of time frame. 5 hours and still nothing..when we called at this point, we were informed that the procedure hadn’t even begun besides a basic cleaning of the wound and pain meds...so he was likely laying in a cage all day for absolutely no reason. We went and got him, obviously upset, and the vet tech we spoke to was extremely rude and unprofessional. They finally brought him out to us, charged us $100, and when we looked at the invoice to see what the charges were for exactly, we realized that they gave us another patients invoice with all of their information on it. Our regular vet got him in the next morning first thing and the procedure was done in 20 minutes and didn’t even require staples, yet West Vet wanted us to consent to anesthesia. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone that actually cares about the wellbeing of their pet.
They took such amazing care of my dog, Scout. Great customer service and you can tell everyone truly cares for the furry family members they see.
We had, of course, a weekend emergency visit with our new male puppy. On the phone Ryan kept me from freaking out and when I explained the problem he had me also bring our female puppy to make sure she wasnt infected as well.He had us come over where we were immediately greeted by a great front of the house staff and set up in an exam room.The vet techs and the doctor were kind, knowledgeable and patient with our new babies took care of everything and I feel didnt over charge for the Sunday visit.They became our permanent veterinary office because of the great care they took with us and our 4 legged babies.
My dog mellow has been dealing with tracheal collapse problems. A couple days ago he started having seizures Which We didnt know at the time what was happening. My husband and i called Westerville Veterinary Clinic and the doctor and his assistant met us there at 11pm at night and opened the clinic to see my melmel. The compassion shown as well as the advice given to treat was beyond 5 star. We still have a road to travel but i have never felt such a caring vet. Thanks for all that you do and will do for many other fur babies .
All of the vets here are excellent. Wait is minimal and appts are not difficult to get. They do nail trims with every appt and they have their own version of pet insurance that is an amazing program. We feel like we lucked out.

Her passion shines through to the animals she treats and to their parents. I highly recommend the the clinic to treat your fur babies needs. Top tier care and customer service.
Amazing and caring staff! Weve been more than grateful since relocating here last year. Theyve taken great care of our animals through multiple infections and medication routines. Recently, they went out of their way during a tough time saying goodbye to one of ours. Couldnt recommend them more!
When boarding him, It gives me peace of mind to know he is being taken care of at the same place that he goes to the vet. I love that he can participate in daycare and is given treats and activities throughout the day. When I call to check on him, the workers speak knowledgeably about him and speak like they truly care. I would recommend Westerville Veterinary Clinic every time.
They were very good with our dog and the many other dogs I saw them take inside. They came out with an estimate based on what I told them over the phone and were conscious of my budget. I felt very comfortable with them and confident that they were giving me the best care.
Flat out- I love this place. I am so happy to have this as my home vet, it is a blessing. These people are very sharp and very passionate about pets and caring for them. Always knowledgeable and willing to help with anything, plus I can ask my dumb questions and not feel intimidated. I have never been treated with anything less than kindness, and from the moment you walk in- the receptionist is warm and welcoming and prompt. Fairly priced too; you will not go wrong here.
I cannot begin to express how thankful I am to the amazing staff! My dog had a terrible ear infection that was causing him pain! Dr Marie Hereda got us in immediately and got our baby feeling immediately better! Thank you to everyone for being so caring and understanding! I felt like a terrible mom letting him suffer! Even in the Pandemic they took amazing care of our Cynder!
When I found an emaciated near hypothermic stray cat on the side of the road on a Sunday I brought her home. After a few hours and some alarming dark diarrhea I brought her in to WestVet. After a few minutes the vet came outside to our car to tell me she was clearly a feral kitten with feline leukemia and possibly a GI bleed and likely wouldn’t make it and I should put her down. I insisted on tests. When the feline leukemia came back negative he spent at least 5 minutes trying to convince me to euthanize her. When I said no, I wanted to give her a chance he sighed. The vet tech came back with an estimate for nearly $700 for blood work and x-ray. That’s it. I said, can you ask what it would cost for the bloodwork and some fluids and whatever it takes to get her through the night so I can take her to my vet in the morning? He came back with a form for me to sign to take her without treatment. After some stern reiteration of my wants she got the bloodwork and she was negative for leukemia and FIV, got fluids, and dextrose to stabilize her blood sugar. This cost us nearly $400. I held her wrapped in a heating blanket most of the night and she made it through. When I got her to my vet the next day, an exam and some x-rays showed she was not only at least 10 years old (arthritis and spinal stenosis) but was clearly someone’s pet at one point and had likely been thrown out of a car, breaking her sternum, and had managed to heal on her own. It’s been 5 days with round the clock care and this little girl, who we named Pumpkin, is on her way to recovery. She has spunk and the cutest old lady meow and loves snuggling close. I question if the vet himself ever did more than just look at her and decide she wasn’t worth his time. We will not be returning to WestVet or their RIDICULOUS prices.Further response to reply:First off, I was never given “statistics”. I was told she was obviously feral and no more than a year old. According to my regular vet, a simple examination of her mouth would have told you her age. Not forgetting that you didn’t bother to look at her rear end until right before we left. Did she even get a thorough look over? I never said you refused to run test, only that you spent most of our conversation trying to persuade me that it was best to put her down. I also didn’t refuse treatment, I asked your tech what it would take to get her through the night because I couldn’t afford your prices and his response was an AMA, not an answer. Obviously a slew of tests was required to figure out what was wrong with her, who ever said they were inappropriate? I’m grateful she was able to get through the night with your help. My point here is that you seem to lack heart. It would seem this is very much a business to you and not a calling, which is unfortunate for all the animals out there that just need a little faith.
They always are always gentle and caring with my dog. 4years ago they found bladder stones, did surgery and saved her life. She had problems again and they determined she had a UTI. Great staff! Great vets!
Do not use the vet if you can. Cancelled on my dogs first grooming appointment. Second appointment was set up for 12 then tried to turn us away for not being there between 8-10. Then tried to inflate the price of shots more than 100 dollars over normal pricing. Staff is very rude and the groomer picks and chooses what dogs she wants to groom. Will never take my dogs to this vet again I encourage others to do the same.
Our very young kitty had an unfortunate accident today, and we had to take our kitten in to be looked at. It turned out that it had brain damage and other issues, to where the best option was to unfortunately put her down. They quoted the procedure at around 600 dollars for everything they did, and they did an amazing job. They offered an overnight with a feeding tube and IV, but even then it was only a 50% chance to live... in the end, after deciding to put her down, they ended up charging us nothing. Obviously nothing can bring the kitty can bring our baby kitty back, but I cant thank them enough for everything they did 💜
Best place ever. The staff is so great and careing. My dog had to be bored for a long period of time while i had to move and they made it a loveing second home for him. They took care of him and loved him like he was there own. With out them i wouldnt have my dog today in my home. and i am truely grateful for them. the office manager breona is such a blessing. And Taylor P was so sweet and friendly my dog loved her as much she loved him. Thank you guys for everything you did.
The Westerville Veterinary clinic has been there for ALL of our dogs. The staff is like family, always loving and helpful to our pets, taking the extra time to make each patient feel important. We will always use their services.
Frantically googled a vet that was open on a Sunday for my cat that was straining. Westerville Vet Clinic came up and I called and was advised to come in immediately. Upon arrival, the front desk was wonderful at keeping me calm and getting us in a room quickly.When Dr. Giancola came in, he stated that the x-rays showed no signs of a blockage and that my cat was just stressed. He said the stress came from the number and location of litter boxes in the house and how dirty his ears were. (May I add that he did not ask how many litter boxes I had or where they were / I follow the rule 1 per cat + 1 in low traffic areas). I asked questions regarding whether I should change his diet (say, to the prescription urinary/stress food) and his answer was that diet would have to be a long-term change - I couldn’t just do it sometimes. The assumption that I was just looking for a quick fix was off-putting. He gave him pain meds and an antibiotic and sent us on our way.I called on a day the office was closed because the straining continued and my cat was declining. I spoke to someone on the emergency line who said the Doctor would call. I never received a call. After over a week of trying to speak with a manager, she was very professional and said she would need to talk to all parties and would work something out.The pain med helped, while in use, but once they ran out we were back at the vet. I asked to see Dr. Miller as I was not very pleased with our visit with Dr. Giancola. Dr. Miller was informative and thorough. She answered all of my questions and then some. The exam fee was waived due to the unpleasant prior experience, but I never actually heard from the manager again.Lastly, I called to have a prescription refilled. The receptionist said they would call when it was ready. I waited 2 weeks to follow-up. The prescription was ready, they don’t know why I was never called.I would like to add that Miranda at the front desk is WONDERFUL. She validated my concerns and tried to smooth things over the best she could without the manager available. Very kind. Dr. Miller was also very informative and answered all of my annoying concerned-mom questions. Had I not experienced one too many problems, I would have liked to stay with Dr. Miller.
The most caring staff who take time to answer all questions either by phone, in person, or text. I wouldnt trust my babies with anyone else.
Was tunning late and they still seen us. Front desk ppl were very nice. Explained the curbside assistance. Nurse and Dr. Was very clear on plan for my dog Skylarr. She ended up with a pretty bad infection apparently she had before we got her but now i feel like everything will be great!
The staff took excellent care of my baby girl. She definitely got her fill of treats for the day. Called a lot of places to try and get her seen, came in and they took her right on back to a room. In and out in about 30-45 min. Highly recommend.
The entire staff is awesome!! Our lab Finn loves them too! They’re so friendly, kind and professional. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with our boy. They are always so helpful and Jack the VT goes over every detail and makes sure we have every question answered. Taylor and Liz are always happy and helpful and they are so good with Finn. Finn was very sick when we first got him and the DVM Marie and Damian have helped us get our boy happy and healthy. They truly are great and I appreciate the work they have done.
Westerville Veterinary Clinic cant be beat! Ive been through several serious health issues with my Yorkies and I really feel they get the absolutely best care, along with lots of love and compassion. The health plan has been a huge benefit.
I called several vets in the area (including my regular vet) to get my dog in for burnt paws. No one could get me in, but they were able to get me in immediately! The staff was incredibly helpful and put me at ease, I felt so bad for my pup! They were great with my dog, who normally is very anxious during vet visits. They are VERY affordable and offer emergency clinic services cheaper than MedVet. I can’t say enough great things about them! Thank you so much for helping us! 🐾

I appreciate Dr. Giancola and his team as well as the groomer Denise Snyder. They go far beyond what is normally expected. Because of covid19 they went out of their way to keep me safe. I just finished 6 rounds of chemo and found that they had curbside pick up and they all wore masks which I appreciated.Dr. Giancola even came out to my car in the rain to explain about a blood test my dog was going to have. I am very grateful for the compassionate care my dog and I both receive. I highly recommend Westerville Veterinary Clinic.
Sadly today we found out our 3 year old cat have FIB. Damien was our vet and he gave us the best course of action for Gizmo. Sadly FIB is not curable and eventually we will lose him. The staff at this location is amazing and they care about you and your fur baby. Im glad I came here instead of another vet. They didnt push extra cost on me and they are giving me more time with my baby. Thank you so much!
I had heard about Westerville Veterinary Clinic on FB. I made an appointment with Breona to get a stray male cat in to be neutered. The entire staff was friendly and so good to Ollie. I will be bringing all my feline friends to Westerville Veterinary Clinic from now on! Thanks!
Everyone has been so nice from answering the phone when I call to talking to me at visits. My puppy loves all the staff. When they bring him back to the car, he tries to get back to them for more loving.
We just moved to the area so I wanted to find a vet for our senior dog who has cancer and is on a palliative care regimen from our old vet. When I explained all of this, the person who answered the phone seemed bothered that I wanted to schedule an appointment and was rude about the fact that theyre extremely booked right now. I didnt say I was looking for an appointment right away, just that we wanted to establish a vet for our dog who doesnt have much time left, so her attitude was extremely off-putting.
Upon recommendation from a coworker, I gave this office a try and I am so HAPPY to have found them. I am a pet mom to 4 dogs and a cat so we have lots of vet experience and I can tell you that Dr. G is very caring, concerned, knowledgeable and experienced. This office has seen me through happy times and difficult times, offering support and guidance all the way. I wont use this review to discuss the monetary aspect of vet visits, because everyones experience is unique to their situation. I have found their services in price to be inline with the other vet offices, and besides, the most important feature to me is the care my pet receives from my vet, which you cannot put a price on. Thank you Westerville Veterinary Clinic for being part of my pet family!
My puppy Kin Kin come here few times. We love this place so so much. All my family loves here. All of them very nice, sweet and friendly, do great job, best services ever, treatment your pets or grooming your pets all are the best. You can tell before and after doing the service here. I am so happy i found this place. Our Kin Kin loves them so much. We love all here : mr.Damian, mr.Jack, mr. Skylar, mr.Fadil, miss Marie, miss Taylor R, miss Gerardina, miss Denise( master of groomer) and specially : miss Miranda, missTaylor P are so nice to us everytime we come. Terrible service from Vet and receptionist. I would not bring any animals to this clinic. During my 1st visit, the receptionist took down information on my cat before seeing the Vet. The Vet then came in with his two young children, which were a distraction to myself and the Vet. His exam was quick and he had all the information which I gave to his receptionist wrong. Perhaps leaving your children in the lobby would have helped that exam. The vet ignored the fact that I told them I had been giving my cat ear meds to clear up the discoloration, but it was not clearing up, he just said, it looks good, no infection we can see and left it there; but the issue had been there still, and you could visually see the infection. The Vet then suggested returning for a dental Exam to look at her gums. The day before the Exam the office called to confirm we were dropping her off for the Procedure, however, the receptionist, which scheduled the Exam, could not tell me what the Procedure was. After a few minutes they realized the information in the file was contradicting itself, probably due to lack of attention. So I could have dropped my pet off to have an undisclosed procedure if I hadnt decided to cancel. Most unprofessional vet I have visited thus far.

Perfect location and the staff is amazing. Sometimes you go into a vet where staff (one emergency vet in particular) have questionable track records - not here! These folks know what they’re doing! You can trust your family pet to them
Weve been taking our dog Trick here for years. Its been through a few management changes, but were still happy with the care. We also subscribe to their monthly platinum care plan; cheaper than pet health insurance, and more comprehensive. Worth checking out!
I have nothing but rave reviews for this hospital and staff. My dog was extremely ill and I had seen 2 different vets with no determined diagnosis. Upon researching new vets I came upon this group. Frantic at the time I sent a message on their website about 830 pm indicating that I would be calling for an immediate appt the next morning as it was urgent for my dog to be seen. Not even 10 minutes later Erica, the office mgr called me and through tears I explained what was going on. She immediate called the Dr on call and my Izzy was seen THAT NIGHT, about 45 minutes later. She was hospitalized and the next day it was diagnosed she had 2 bowel obstructions. She went into surgery that day and is doing well. She is still there as it has been just a day after her surgery but I have to give this hospital and staff the best rating possible. They were all so kind, caring professional and understanding of not only the patient (dog), but the owner(s) as well. It is rare today that the words customer service is lived up to, but in their case they live it . Of course any major surgery is a costly thing but comparatively I find them very reasonable and better yet they were willing to work with me on payment options. In todays world who has the cash on hand to pay it in one shot. They fact that they understand that is a godsend. When I took my dog to the Riverside animal clinic they told me on the phone my dog would not be seen unless I paid X amount when I came in. Shameful.I am so glad I found this facility and staff. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, especially Dr. Hereda and Erica.The one MAJOR complaint I have is that NO ONE answers the phones there during business hours. Either they are very short staffed or need to review their phone policy. When I do get someone I normally have to call again 2 or 3 times to get the info requested as they do not call back.
Dr. Hereda and Dr. Giancola are excellent. My dogs are beloved family members and I trust the staff at Westerville Veterinary Clinic to treat them with the utmost care and respect. Each experience Ive had with the clinic, from a minor ear infection to a major emergency surgery, was positive (as positive as a situation can be when my pups arent well). Also...if youre thinking about getting the platinum membership...DO IT. As a student, this allowed me to financially plan for emergencies. I never would have thought my dog would need TWO major surgeries in one week and having the platinum membership took much of the financial worry away from an already stressful situation.
During a medical emergency with our kitten, I frantically googled emergency vet clinics to have this practice come up. When the vet on call called back, he was condescending and unprofessional after I inquired about a possible payment arrangement if the cost got to high. He immediately informed me that he would NOT be leaving his house at 7am to turn on the lights for someone who needed a payment plan. Clearly animals are not the number 1 priority for this person if that was his immediate answer. Im glad this man showed his true colors before we allowed him to touch our hurt kitten.
Top notch staff and care given ! My cat was close to death, and they were able to save her! She is back to normal health, and in my opinion, nothing short of a miracle! I highly recommend Westerville Veternary clinic, plus easy access location!
The staff is amazing and they care about your animals on a real level, I appreciate all the team has done for our girl and her puppies and I cant wait to get everyone in so all my babies are moved to Westerville Veterinary Hospital
We have been seeing the staff and doctors at Westerville Vets for many years and can honestly say we have never had a bad experience. They are friendly, knowledgable, attentive, and courteous. I would not take my pets anywhere else.

I LOVE this place! 1st experience and they were just wonderful. Called on a Friday nite at 930pm because my precious lil girl was wheezing. The after hours said Id get a call in 30 min. In less than 15 min, Erica was on my line. She was at an airport in FL on her way back and took the time to hear about Pebbles symptoms before she boarded. She said if I wanted, someone could meet me at the office in 30-45 mins, or just observe my dog for an hour and call back if I wanted to come in. If I was ok shed see me at 945am with the Dr. The next day. Taylor greeted us as we had no wait. I was even given coffee. I met Erica and Dr. Damian, as I called him, and they began the exam and bloodwork. They explained the process, gave me a very fair estimate, which came in even lower after her diagnosis, and I was very pleased. Great loving caring people who are honest, doesnt pray on your emotions at a stressful time or try to rip you off.Thank you all sooooo much!
I was publicly berrated by the vet of the practice when I asked about pricing. He yelled at me in front of other patients telling me I was bad dog mother. Fired me as a client since I simply asked about charges. Leaving me with $200 bill and no help for my dog. Ive never been so angry and embarrassed. I want to warn anyone considering this organization that you should never question shady business practices or theyll attack you PUBICALLY. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!
Everything about this facility is amazing. The after-hours vet was helpful and put me at ease. They then called and followed up the next morning to ensure everything was ok with my pet and got me in that day for a quick checkup.
I just love Westerville Vet the staff is amazing you can truly tell they love animals and care for them like their own. I know when one of our babies are sick they will take excellent care of them.
My little fur baby is currently a medical mystery but we are getting tests done and moving so much further then his main vet which gives me comfort that they know what they’re doing
I took my kitten to be spayed, vaccinated and chipped, Breona and the rest of the staff were fabulous! They have social distanced drop off and pick up, and were very efficient. I cant thank them enough!!
The staff is amazing, my dogs haircut was the BEST he has ever had, and it is SO convenient to have a vet boarding and grooming all in one. I will always know my dogs are in great hands
WestVet did an excellent job getting my dog in on a Sunday on a holiday weekend. They took an xray which showed no broken bones and gave her pain medication until she could see her surgeon. We were both treated very well! Im eternally grateful!!!
Friendly, knowledgeable, caring staff that helped us through a difficult time. They were very understanding of our situation and provided all possible options without judgement. We only happened to visit here because they were the greatest open vet on a Sunday, but were very glad we did.

Unorganized management. I have had multiple billing issues. The owner sent aggressive emails to my wife that made her feel threatened. Owner takes no responsibility for an inability to follow up. This business thinks it’s okay not to notify a person after 8+ months on two separate occasions to collect on charges when no services were rendered. For a specific example they claim no payment was made in September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, and May. This is after the previous dispute had been cleared up and cancellation of all services have been done. No attempts to notify him previously stated months that something was going on again. The owner blamed a poor office manager that he had to let go of. My second dispute is with a new office manager doing the exact same thing. This makes me wonder about the validity of my previous charges and want credit back.
I am SO very happy to have found this Vet. I have been taking my Roxie there for a few years, and now our newest puppy Bear. Always a friendly, professional and prompt experience ❤️
If you love your fur-kids, give them the very best! I cant imagine taking my pets anywhere else besides Westerville Veterinary Clinic. The compassion, knowledge, and care they show the families and animals they serve cant be better!
The Veterinarians and the staff here are wonderful. They are extremely kind when you have the tough situations and just as kind an knowledgeable when it’s just a checkup. I would recommend to any friend.
Dr Stoughton is the most caring and loving DVM weve ever used. He takes as much time as you need and cares for your pets like he does his own. There is never a problem getting seen and all our questions being answered. The best of the best!!!

Front office staff is so quick to get you off the phone. Called to ask what the latest time we could drop off for boarding was and was told 5:30pm. Got there at 3:30 ON OUR WAY to leave and turns out they were closed. Girl on the phone didnt bother to realize that they apparently close early on Wednesday when I called earlier. Great way to end a vacation before it starts. Such a disappointment.
Took my dog for grooming, and he looks great and it was fast about 2 hours from drop off to pick up!! Staff is very fun to deal with and professional
Does anyone know a ballpark price for a dogs teeth cleaning? Also how much to have sebaceous cysts removed? No one ever answers phone, just a recording. Guess I wouldn’t be able to make an appointment even if I knew the price!
From nail trims to sadly, end of life and everything in between, the whole staff is so caring and amazing. True pet people. The only place I will go. 100% trust them with my cats.

They NEVER answer the phone. I always get the recorder--but when I try a 2nd time--someone answers. They need to hire more staff. You need to have someone answer the phone because in the past, you never returned my calls. I like the vets--but take care of your staffing situation!
Everyone here was very kind! This was my first visit with my new puppy and the staff made sure I knew exactly what was going on and was able to answer all questions while providing a lot of helpful information.
It could not have gone better. Dr. Damian is great and Dashs checkup was smooth and uneventful. We love everyone who works there and cant recommend it enough!!

2022-05-16My cat Gomez has only had bad vet experiences until now. He is the calmest, friendliest, and most agreeable cat I have ever met. But, at the vet, her turns into a demon. Or at least he used to. Our visit to this clinic was nothing but positivity. They got us in so quick as first time clients and our appointment was right in time, the vet and vet tech took the time to listen to my concerns about his anxiety and they worked really hard to make him feel comfortable! This was the first time I saw him so calm during medical exam. The tech was Jesse and spoke to my boy so sweet and so kind. I unfortunately do not remember the vets name but I appreciated how he listened and was entirely reasonable with me about my cats health. 100% will be coming back, this place rocks!

2021-11-04My family has been using Westerville vet for YEARS! Their service is always amazing and they always respond quick, even when it’s just a quick question about one of our animals on the phone. The people that work there are always the sweetest and take care of all the fur babies n the household, Including our rabbit, with great prices as well. I always know my goofy boxer Izzy is in great hands when she is at this location. Wish I could give them 1,000 stars!

2022-02-16This was such a great experience! I called distressed after cleaning up after my sick dog for days and they got me in immediately! We were in and out the door waiting with medication in thirty minutes for a fraction of the price. The vet and vet tech were so sweet and understanding with my sick puppy and he loved them. I recommend this place to everyone!!

2022-08-23I couldnt be happier with my whole experience with WestVet! My most recent experience was having to bring in my pup Bailey, who had to have a lump removed from her armpit. Obviously I was nervous about having to put my girl through surgery. The techs and Vet were amazing at answering all my questions, making me calm while also giving Bailey all the love she needed. The surgery went fantastic and they were very good at keeping me posted throughout the day/process. They were even kind enough to reach out to check in on us after the surgery. I cant say if the price was good/great as I honestly did not shop around (you cant put a price on a pups love). I would absolutely recommend them for any of your pets! Super easy to find from State St/rt 3 and Huber, plenty of parking. Best vet office Ive ever had to deal with.

2022-07-06They were awesome! My dog was in need of emergency care and their staff was amazing!!! It was our first visit and they so friendly, knowledgeable and truly cared. You could tell this is just not a job, they truly love animals. My dog is usually scared and anxious at the vets office, but after just a few minutes so she calm and relaxed like I had not seen before. They spent so much time answering all my questions and never made me feel rushed.

2022-04-29I usually don’t leave reviews but this clinic is the best! My sweet Bella had to get ten teeth pulled yesterday and they took such great care of her. They called my mother and I to give us multiple updates yesterday and it made me feel so much better about the whole situation. Taylor even called just to check up on her the next day to make sure she’s good and to see if there was anything her and her clinic could do for my bella girl.Usually Vet offices just do small talk and get you in and out but not them! You can tell that everyone there truly loves their job.1,000/10 recommend this clinic to everyone!!

2022-09-18My dog little tiny needed emergency c section .. they puppy was stuck inside her with only her head hanging out. I was told it wont be over 4000 dollars to have the surgery done or I would have to put her to sleep. my baby is only a year old herself. The staff at Westerville vet clinic said bring her here, so I did. Luckily she was able to push the baby out and didnt have to have surgery, but if it wasnt for the great staff at Westerville veterinary clinic I would have lost my little tiny .. thank you so much for saving my baby girl
