My Mother-In-Law resided at Wesley Glen in an Independent Living Apartment during the last year and a half of her life. We found the residents and staff members very welcoming and made it an easy transition for her life in Columbus. The apartments are very comfortable and easy to navigate. The food in the dining room is very good and families are included and always made to feel welcome as well. There are a lot of activities for the residents, both in the facility and in the community. The Library has a great selection of books, magazines and movies. My MIL enjoyed getting her hair done in the in-house beauty salon. It was quite a convenience that there is a clinic on site for doctors appts and podiatry appts. The family enjoyed our visits and enjoyed using the indoor heated pool. We were very fortunate to find such a caring atmosphere so close to home.
My mother-in-law aged 81 went to Wesley Glen for rehab after discharge from a hospital where she underwent back surgery. She was very poorly treated: she was in a lot of pain but medications were not delivered promptly; they promised her a toilet lift but never provided it; meals sometimes never came - one night they simply did not bring dinner, she reminded them, but by then the kitchen was closed, and she went hungry; the social services director and head nurse promised all kinds of good things in the intake meeting, none of which ever happened, including getting pain meds within 10 minutes of requesting them. The doctor on rounds was too busy joking with his staff to actually examine or talk to my mother-in-law.The only bright lights were Rhonda, a PSA who took good care of her when she was on duty, and the OT/PTs.Think twice before putting your loved one in this facility!
There really arent enough words for me to express my thanks to Wesley Glen staff for the way they took care of my beloved mother who resided there for a little over a year. From the moment she moved in it was clear that Wesley Glen was a family. The front office staff, nurses, custodians, residents, cook-staff----everyone treated her like their own Mom and made her feel like one special lady. My mother never knew a stranger, so being around such positive, out-going people was for her a tonic. My mother had the cook staff prepare a nice salmon dinner for her to share with one of her sons in her own room late February 2014. She was sitting at her little table slumped over when he walked in. She had suffered a massive stroke. That she passed away in her own beautiful apartment, surrounded by her own things, means more to me than I can possible share. Thank you, Wesley Glen for who you are--because you arent just a beautiful edifice, but a beautiful group of people.
This place is horrible and only cares about money! The hospital offered to pay for 30 days for my mother to stay there, to help with co payments until her medicaid got approved and they denied it and said no! Horrible! And they werent even gonna have to pay for anything, so it makes absolutely no sense at all! All they care about is money and not care!
This place is horrible. You have many dirty corrupt staff working their posing as healthcare professionals. Its under staffed, some of the staff are unethical immature with bi-polar tendacies, the food thats served to residents is undercooked and very limited. If I could rate it as TRASH I would.

2021-01-22My family from all over the US was able to have a Zoom Tea Party together on New Years day due to the initiative and innovation of Spencer Fee. Spencer made the technology (Zoom) available which enabled each family to participate from the safety of their own home but yet still gather for this event. If Spencer had not been willing to think outside the box, the Zoom experience would not have happened. The willingness of every associate I have encountered at Wesley Glen has consistently demonstrated their commitment to their mission and core values: Action, Compassion, Excellence, Service and Wellness. They truly excel in customer service! Thank you, Spencer!

2017-06-30This morning I woke up excited about the work I was going to do today. Many of my days are like that working at Wesley Glen. The residents are so warm and welcoming; the staff are friendly and willing to help out however needed. With Wesley Glens commitment to excellent customer service; the beautiful grounds (the ravine, wooded walking path full of playful, chasing squirrels and the deer) and the beautiful Wellness Center, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the community to my own family! I couldnt be happier or more proud to be a Wesley Glen employee.

2020-03-04So very disappointed in the level of care my mother received. We escalated issues on three separate occasions and while some improvement was made, none truly resolved the issue. They tried to send her home today with her O2 levels at dangerous lows. Luckily we transported her ourselves to the ER and she is getting the help and attention she truly deserves. The fact that an ambulance was not called by the facility is truly a testament to the overall lack of care she received.I would not recommend Wesley Glen for any service based on our experiences. The administrators were very nice and showed empathy, however did not have much empowerment to handle the issue. I agree with other comments that they are truly understaffed and not capable of providing the level of care that the patients need.

2020-06-13My mom waa a resident in their Memory Care unit for about 3 years. Staff is caring and always responsive to concerns. They offer a huge array of entertainment, arts, and exercise options. There is a heated indoor pool, exercise and physiotherapy equipment and staff, beauty salon, library, on-site clinic, and the grounds are immaculate. I especially liked being able to bring my dog for visits. Only downside is that the elevators are often broken and she had to have teeth pulled because they did not brush her teeth.

2017-06-29Excellent care and customer service are the defining characteristics of Wesley Glens Community. Not only do Wesley Glens residents receive the best care and desired attention, but the employees enjoy a well staffed work environment. The leadership is very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the long term care industry and healthcare policy. The facility is surrounded by beautiful grounds to find plenty of space to relax and unwind. There is plenty of opportunity for families to find solace, and for employees to find growth in their careers. Would recommend 5 stars again and again. Great place to work!

2018-01-31My dad’s been here for 17 days now and all & all we’ve been very happy with the facility. Their staff from administration to NP, RNs, LPNs, STNAs, PT/OT & Speech have all been very helpful & caring. A group of staff who work & communicate well together, respect their residents & family wishes & aim to do their best! Highly recommend them.

2016-11-16I have been at Wesley Glen for two and a half years, and I am very satisfied with being here. The members of the staff are, largely, polite, dedicated and friendly. There are enough activities to keep one as active as he/she could wish; also, a wonderful entertainment program with movies, speakers and musical programs for all tastes. I would recommend Wesley Glen to anyone thinking of entering a retirement center.

2018-07-02Very Nice Place except when they are understaffed. The amenities get 5 stars the care gets 3 stars. I think if they had a few more nurses n aides they could give excellent patient care without leaving people waiting a long time.
