WellNow Urgent Care in other cities:
Six months later - they still wont do their job. AVOID THIS PLACE:Visited last November. Had a great visit with the clinical staff. But then the nightmare began. Front desk person billed my old insurance despite me being super sick and going out to my car to get my current card so they could update it. Then they billed the old insurance. Phone call #1 to the actual clinic - hung up on me and said Id have to call corporate. Called back another day and gave the correct information- but they never billed it. I repeated twice, both times being assured they would bill my insurance. Today I get a text telling me theyre sending me to collections if I dont pay. Its a shame that the business/billing side of this organization is giving the providers a bad name here because the doctor I saw was great. But this is ridiculous. I worked in medical front office for 6 years and its insane a business would allow its patients to be treated like this.I’m changing my review to one star because the front office billed my old insurance, didn’t return my calls when I left a message about it and when I called today and actually got through to a person she sighed heavily, said she doesn’t do that and I’d have to call corporate. She then hung up on me.I’ve been here twice and both times have been a great experience. Especially when I’m feeling so sick. The best urgent care I’ve ever been to
My new employer called on/off for an entire day to inquire about whether or not this location takes walk-ins for drug testing. My new employer called me and said that the phone rings and rings and that they never got through. I tried to call numerous times as well and the phone rang many times after the automated system told me Id be connected to a live agent. I ended up going elsewhere for drug testing after reading the reviews and not being able to get through to someone myself.
Melanie is one of the friendliest and most helpful medical providers I have ever met. Its a shame she is not a PCP because I would go to her all the time if I could. Has tested me for COVID and helped me with time sensitive health problems on multiple occasions and always goes out of her way to make sure I feel comfortable.
I understand the medical field is overwhelmed by covid but if youre open til 8p and a patient comes in at 715p you should see them and definitely dont come running out of the back room yelling were closed, were closed. You didnt even ask me whats wrong nor did you care too. For all you know I may have just needed you to call 911 for me.
Going into my Urgent care clintonville was nice and easy with the Self registration. With that said I ended up doing so and ended up waiting for my name to be called back “well funny story “. After about 45min or so not sure why I didn’t look before but after I filled out the self registration they actually sent me a confirmation text message as well as an email. Well the email told me what time and date to be there were the text message did not. Well like I said after 45min of waiting I checked the email that was sent, stating my appointment wasn’t until 7:30pm that same day well I was there at 3pm. After Realizing my dahh!! Mistake I presented this to a nurse or registration clerk and instead of having me come back at the time it was scheduled she was very nice and allowed me to be placed in line before my schedule time now these are crazy times right now with this Covid-19 and everyone going to get themselves checked out and tested. Just knowing how busy and slammed that these places are I was treated very kindly and taken care of at these crazy times at hand. I would definitely recommend this urgent care to any of my friends and family to go to. Thank You again for all your hard work and dedications you all are doing.
It is so hard trying to get in touch with this company it’s like they talk the phone off the hook. Not only that they are very some are very unprofessional!!!!! I’ve been calling an calling by left a 2 messages and still nothing no response! Now I’m forced to have to go back up there knowing I don’t feel good ! When all I need is help loving in to my account to see my test results to send to my job! Which is very annoying! You should be able to call to get help with something! I will be very upset if I have to go there ! You guys aren’t caring about your patients situations only about yourselves ! This is ridiculous.
The nurse here is one of the rudest people I have ever met. Eye rolling, sighing, and avoiding all eye contact as I was answering her questions. Instead of, What brings you in today? Or How are you feeling? It was Whats wrong with you with an extremely uncaring tone. She didnt explain what she doing at all while she was taking vitals, and when taking my BP she put the cuff on and pushed my arm up against me instead of just telling me to. She wasnt listening to anything I was telling her and made me feel very uncomfortable. I almost just walked out right there and then. Even after all of that I still thanked her on her way out and she walked right past me and didnt say a word. It makes me wonder if this place is just hiring random people off of the streets. She had no bedside manner whatsoever! I will NEVER be back here ever again. The PA was wonderful however.
Terrible service, the lady messed up my test and after waiting 2hrs, I ended up waiting another hour. The lady at the front desk gave everyone attitude and refused to give me a bottle of water. The other two locations were down one due to broken machine and the other place said they had no one to take a physical.Something so simple was complicated on so many levels.
1st visit was for a Covid test even though I already knew I had it from my “at home” test that I took. Just needed a official result for my company. Had to sit in the waiting room for an hour and a half. The girl behind the counter sat in the dark hiding behind her computer and did not seem to know how to speak to those coming up to window. Once I got back to the room everything went smoothly and quickly so I am not upset about that part. Nurse practitioner said if I had any issues to call back so I called back today due to now having pinkeye in one eye to get some advice or medicine and all I got is a recording that said they would get back with me within 1 to 2 days . That was not satisfactory so I went back up there and got another very meek girl that could not speak up and I could not hear what she was saying. She went and got another person ... Dr. or nurse I don’t know ....who was rude to me and could not help me as she said they were temporarily closed (with a full room of people). She was not willing to even offer me some advice so I walked out and will not ever return.
Dont come here if you have things to do afterward. Its at least a two hour wait for a simple drug test, and at no point during the wait do they let you know whats going on. They couldnt even be bothered to turn on the TV in the waiting room. Cell reception is terrible in the area and theres no wifi, despite a flyer saying there is.
I am at this Urgent Care at this minute. Had a 9:32 appointment, arrived, went into clinic. Receptionist depended on me—I’m sick, never been here, received a message that I was checked in, depended on her to “lead the way.” Not so! Eventually I went to her desk and inquired. It’s now 10:20 am, still in waiting room sitting— not many patients here since my arrival. Would not recommend this site and I would leave, but I need medical care!
The nurse/nurse tech that checked me in for my piercing infection asked my why I didnt just take the piercing out, which is against all other medical advice I have ever received regarding a piercing infection. Doesnt seem like that person should be giving out medical advice, especially since the PA that saw me afterwards made no such suggestion. Also when I told her it had been pierced for over a year the same tech made a super snarky comment How can it be infected if you got it pierced a year ago? As if infections cant happen at any time. Its amazing that these places will take your money and deliver such terrible care.
Very long wait time. Staff has no hustle. The women who started my physical did not take my blood pressure but wrote one down. The receptionist is impatient and had a very hard time getting my paper work situated even though they gave it to me to return with two days later for a PPD reading. The PA-C I had that completed my physical was very nice though.
The shorter nurse who took me back for check in questioned every one of my symptoms and blamed anxiety when I mentioned it was harder to breathe laying down/at night. I have had asthma my entire life, and pneumonia about 4 times now. Had I not had to get tested for Covid, I would have happily skipped this UC, opting for my PCP who has treated me for all of this before. It was not my choice to end up there, I really just wanted a non expired rescue inhaler. So- if it was you working the evening of 10/4/21, I did not come in with anxiety, your attitude is what gave me anxiety. After 6 years in therapy, I can tell the difference between anxiety and being sick. Not sure why you cant. The doctor that worked with me was amazing and listened to my concerns, I just wish I didnt have to fight through a nurse playing gatekeeper to get the care I need (i.e. antibiotics, steroids, and a new rescue inhaler.)
Ive been seen previously at this location and needed to urgently be seen when I arrived on Thursday. I arrived a few minutes prior to opening and the medical team was excellent in opening , registering and caring for the patients there. My visit was efficient and caring. Dr. Matthews was truly pleasant and although I am ill she was sensitive and everything you hope a Doctor to be when you are seeking treatment. The Clinical staff was nice and super friendly and the facility is always,ALWAYS clean!!! Honestly the name of this urgent care Hometownserves it well and is indicative of the complete total care you receive the moment you step through the door. At every point of my visit I was so pleased I chose Hometown for my care.
I thought the visit was going to be a disaster. Their computer system was down, so they lost all the info I had uploaded earlier in the day. It took about an hour for them to work through various computer issues to even see us. Thought about walking out and going somewhere else. However, Danielle at the front desk was nice and seemed to do a great job even with all the problems. Then when we finally got back to be seen Dr. Melanie was great too.Really did think about leaving, even called CVS, but by the end was happy only because of the staff. My real rating would be - staff 5 stars, IT/whoever is in charge of making sure computers work 0 stars.
Today I went in for a drug test. And even called a different location and was told I could come to any location before 7.I get there 10 minutes prior to close and was running late because I had a medical emergency with my blood sugar.I get there and the person at the front desk told me they wouldn’t do it because they were about to close. I thought this was interesting because a patient was just called back there for a drug screening right before I got to the window. After I explained that I had called and confirmed I could come in before 7 today to any location she said “fine I’ll just do it.”After asking the front desk woman why she had to be rude she literally said “I’m not the one” and I basically said she needed to stop being rude. I pulled out my phone to record our interaction and she suddenly remembered how to be professional again. The person who did my drug screening said they actually recommend getting them done before 6PM. He was nice.If I could have reported this rude impatient receptionist I would have but, I guess this review is going to have to do!
I went in at around 9am on a Sunday when there was no one else waiting so they were able to see me right away. My experience at that time was a breeze and very positive. I imagine at a peak time having to wait for 90 minutes might find me feeling differently on that but thats why I went on a Sunday morning...
I stopped at Hometown Urgent Care after work and I was very happy with the service I received. I only waited a few minutes even with a handful of other people waiting as well. Staff is very friendly and the PA that saw me was great! She was very knowledgeable and considerate. They called in my prescription that I picked up on my way home. Definitely will be my go-to when I cant get in to see my regular doctor.
I went in earlier today for pre-employment testing and was extremely impressed with the quality of service and professionalism I received. The young lady at the front desk, Angel, was so helpful and nice through the process. She was extremely courteous and just flat a wonderful person. The young lady who helped me with the test, Angela, was again courteous and professional. Everyone at the office that I interacted with was AMAZING and AWESOME!! Thank you Ladies!
I genuinely like this place but if you have a real condition see the local er I went here for something that turned into a brain infection and was admitted into the hospital if I would have listened to this place I would have been dead not sure what this place is good forBut staff was friendly they get you in and out in a matter of 30 minutes or less nothing against the place just seems like a gimmick to make money definitely will not return
The staff here starting from the front desk and on has been amazing and very helpful through a stressful situation. I’m visiting from out of town and have developed a bad infection in my eye. My first visit (Sun) I was in and out within an hour and the woman at the front desk helped me with my insurance which ended up covering my visit which I did not anticipate. Long story short my infection worsened the following day so I did a video consult with my PCP (mon) rather than doing the free follow-up at Wellnow and he missed what Wellnows physicians assistant Melanie saw right away (Tuesday) which was that I needed a second antibiotic and a possible visit with an eye doctor if the infection does not start to get better within the next day or so. Had I listened to my doctor I would have done nothing and that could have been disastrous. So thankful for the great staff at wellnow in Clintonville their free follow-up policy.
I do have a primary care physician, but I had a nasty allergic reaction to insect exposure (believe it or not, a caterpillar) and was not able to get an appointment with my Dr. entire neck, half of chest, and 1/4 of back had red hot hives/welts. The WellNow clinic is less than a mile from my house, staff was friendly, paperwork was simple, and I was in and back to see the Nurse Practitioner in less than 15 minutes upon arrival. She was great, even got on her computer to verify some things (the info I gave her about the insect, with protocol for caterpillar Dermatitis...yep, it does happen); she prescribed hydrocortisone ointment and a weeks worth of Prednisone just in case. She also told me not to overdo it (heat up, sweat). Feel tons better already. Should have gone a day earlier.
Dont bother. I arrived, the air conditioning wasnt working well. I was there for a simple employment drug test. The waiting room was over crowded so they had to bring out a chair for me. It was so hot, I ended up waiting in my car. 1 hour and 45 minutes after my arrival I was called back by a woman claiming her name was Kate. She was rude, didnt gather any of my information, barked orders and was simply horrible. Honestly of youre sick, go somewhere else or you could die while youre waiting to be seen here. Very poor seevice.
Went yesterday for a rapid Covid-19 test. The nurse and receptionist were on time waiting for doctor to show up and open for the day. Doctor was late. They open 15 mins after 8 am. Nurse and receptionist was great. Do not go here for a rapid COVID test, there website is a lie. After taking test, I was told they do not so rapid covid test and it would take a minimum of 24 if not 48 hours. A waste of my time. I needed a rapid test to return to work. Update website or at least advise patients you are not offering rapid test.*** over 30 hours after being tested and results are not back. According to their results portal my test has not even been sent to the lab.***
My second time here. First was a covid test and I was asked to participate in a trial and received a $75 dollar gift card and a negative test. Second time was for a sore back and an infection on my ankle. Was treated amazingly both times by Melanie Matthews PA-C. There was a wait but there always is in a clinic that is thorough and complete like this one.
The COVID testing information provided on the website is inaccurate as they are not always accepting walk ins. I attempted to call multiple times across two days to verify this information before taking the time to drive here and no one ever answered the phone. I decided to try this facility regardless and was disappointed that I wasted nearly an hour of my time only to find out that they weren’t taking any walk ins.
I dont have much experience with visiting urgent care, so take this review with that in mind. The wait was ~30-45 minutes, but thats to be expected for the time I arrived. The doctor I saw was friendly and detailed. She was receptive to my concerns and I left feeling confident. I never write reviews, so that must mean something! Side note: It turns out, spiders didnt lay eggs in my skin.
Love this urgent care, Its so clean, and all the staff are really friendly, and truly seem to care when the doctor is in the room you dont feel that rushed im just trying to get you in and out vibe you get with some other places and doctors theyre compassionate and professional. The lobby wait time is basically non existent they get you in and out, but efficiently, they take the time to find out whats going on, and Get you back to proper shape, without making you spend a whole day waisting away in a lobby or locked in a room, wondering if the doctor forgot about you. I come here because I know Im in good hands and I feel good about the services I receive. I definitely recommend this place and bonus theyre even great with children.
The staff was so friendly and helpful and acted like they genuinely cared. The doctor told me I had the flu (I have honestly never felt more sick in my life) and she prescribed me a new flu medicine that I had never heard of before and it made me feel SO much better within 24 hours. She was so knowledgeable about which pharmacies would have access to the medication and gave me a coupon in case my insurance didn’t cover enough of the cost. Overall it was a great experience and I was in and out within two hours, which I thought was pretty good for urgent care.
I live very close to this place and between my kids who only get sick on the weekends and visiting family members who dont have a local doctor we visit regularly. Ive never had a bad experience. Even when they are busy the wait times are reasonable, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. They are absolutely my go-to urgent care for my family ranging in age from 2 to 70. Highly recommend.
Called two days prior to confirm that I could have a pre-employment drug screening performed at 9AM on a Saturday. Arrived early and waited more than 20 minutes after opening time. Had to call another location to learn that my screening actually could NOT be performed here.Additionally, despite there being no one here, the front door was unlocked and the front desk window was wide open, meaning that if anyone wished to go behind the front desk at any point the building was open they would have been able to do so.
Had a covid test which they said I would receive results for in 24 hours. I never heard from them and when you try calling they dont answer the phone. I left several messages and they never called back. Its very frustrating!! I have to have the results to go back to work so now I have to go somewhere and spend more money for a service I already paid for. Also I had to tell the receptionist that I had a co-pay to which she replied Oh I dont know how I could have missed that. So she wasnt going to have me pay you at the time of service! Maybe more training! Again very frustrating to pay for something and not receive results.
I went to this location approximately three weeks ago for a drug screening for employment. I am just now receiving notification that my screening was incorrectly processed... THATS IT! No explanation, no justification, no working through the issue. Just an oopsie on their part.Drug screenings are required as part of pre-employment. This sort of incompetency places ones employment in jeopardy!Read other reviews on Google, and you will see the same feedback. Avoid this organization.
I came in yesterday to talk about some health concerns I was having, and they were super respectful, understanding and kind to me. I ended up needing to get a shot, which I was nervous about. One of the workers who I had spoken with (I dont know what her title was, my bad) came in to hold my hand while someone else administered the shot. They made me feel very comfortable and sent me off with everything I needed, and it was super fast! I would definitely return to this location again
I didnt catch the name of the lady at the front desk but she was wonderful. It was clear that she was really busy and had been all day but she maintained a friendly and helpful attitude regardless. The same goes for the nurse practitioner I saw (whose name I also forget). He was extremely helpful and easy to talk to and got my problem solved quickly and efficiently but didnt feel rushed and was happy to answer all the questions I had. A lot better of an experience than a lot of others Ive had at other urgent cares. Thank you!
Allison and Griffin gave me the royalty treatment. They came in the room and asked me detailed questions about my symptoms to find out how to help me. Allison really listened to everything I had to say and we worked together to determine what was going on with me. Griffin was very gentle when drawing my blood. I appreciate the time he took in order to make sure he found a good vein before poking around. One stick and done, no pain. The facility was very clean and sanitary. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
This is the best urgent care that Ive ever been too. I live out east, but I will gladly drive the distance for such great care. The receptionist was helpfully, informative and compassionate. The nurse was through and kind. Dr. Melanie Mathews was EXCELLENT and made sure she did everything possible.
What can I say... Professionalism, Respect, Knowledgeable , Passionate, Caring and Overall Excellent!!! My family and I was involved in a serious car accident, Doctor Matthews and her staff not only has helped me throughout this past year but has made me feel at ease overall. I not only value what she says but I Trust her assessments. It is very evident Dr. Matthews cares about her patients and their needs. She goes above and beyond for her patients and works incredibly hard to give them the best care possible. Her staff is amazing. I would and do recommend her to everyone I know. Definitely a doctor and staff I trust with not just myself but with my family as well. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. The Patrick Family
I called in the morning to find out what the procedure was for covid testing. I was told that you check in inside the building then wait in the car for them to come test you at your car. At the office, I checked in and they told me that I was next so I didn’t have to wait in the car. I ended up waiting 45 minutes in the waiting room as more and more people walked in to get tested. The test itself took about 5 minutes, and I was told it’s 2-3 days for results to get back. Overall I’d recommend going elsewhere where you can wait in your car, not in a waiting room full of potentially infected people, and a lot of other testing sites get results back in 20 minutes to 24 hours, so this isn’t the best place to go. Also the receptionists were wearing their masks incorrectly with their noses exposed.
This was my second visit to the Hometown Urgent Care and my experience was absolutely wonderful (which is saying a lot since you’re going there because you’re not feeling so wonderful). The staff were incredible and very understanding of self pay options and the nurses and doctors were efficient, quick and so very kind. Fantastic bedside manner and helpful efficient service the whole way through. I highly recommend coming here for your non emergent health concerns!
Went to the Clintonville location for step 1TB test for work. The Medical Assistant put a wrong date to return for the result to be read. Went in between 48-72hr. The medical assistant didn’t want to read the test. They insisted I come back after 72 hours. Had to educate them before they read it. Went back for step 2 TB within 21 days. Encountered another medical assistant. Said I couldn’t do the step 2 at that time. He didn’t administer the rest. He was very rude and walked away. Don’t waste your money and time going to their clintonville location.
Great staff, treatment, & experience! Even though it was a viral infection, Melanie was able to prescribe a steroid to help with the symptoms. They were busy so I had a little bit of a wait but it was worth it! Been here 3 or 4 times now and every time they offer great advice & care.
Awesome Experience! I could not get in to see my family doctor (2 weeks!!!) I walked into Hometown with no appointment, the tiny girl at the front desk was so nice, she told me I would have about a 10 min wait but they do their best to have everyone in and out quickly. I was in and out less than 40 mins with Rx in sent to the Pharmacy ready for me to pick up! The provider was very nice, she did not rush me, the nurse who gave me a shot was awesome too! This was my first time using an Urgent Care but will definitely go back!!!!
I have Covid so I stayed outside to call ahead to let the staff know I needed checked incase I had pneumonia. After multiple attempts I had my girlfriend come inside and check me in. As I come in I was taken to a room and only moments later a “ nurse “ comes in and asks of my symptoms and then she informs me that they do not have anyone here to accommodate my needs. This place is a joke! I wouldn’t recommend to anyone!
My husband has an autoimmune disease that makes him prone to chest infections. He got sick enough with an infection he has been fighting for a long time, so he finally goes to get help. They gave him a covid test that came back negative and sent him home without even checking for an infection. They did not address the real issue he went in for, and sending someone home with a chest infection with no help can be dangerous. I used to love this place, but I will probably never go back again now.
I have been to Hometown Urgent Care several times now. Each time has been a great experience. The whole staff from the doctors to nurses to the front desk are super friendly, empathetic, very knowledgeable and helpful. I couldn’t recommend Hometown more. If you are looking for an urgent care that will meet you and your whole families needs, Hometown Urgent Care is the one!
The front desk staff member was very friendly and helpful. The service was quick and very easy to use. They physician spent about five minutes with me and prescribed an over-the-counter medication that I already take (which was listed on my med list). This caused me some concern and I probably wouldnt go see them for anything more complicated than a sinus infection. Since they are in my office building (and my doctor is a 65 minute bus ride away), Id recommend them for minor issues.
Quick in, quick out - and good results. I was treated well, and have a note for work. They took a sample, sent it off to the lab and told me to expect results within 24 hours (fast turnaround). The collective bus ride (there and back) took about as long as the visit did, but didnt really feel rushed, or not any more than doctor visits usually do. Oh, and they took my insurance so I didnt pay a thing.
I visited on a weekday morning. The place was clean, fairly crowded but people were being called in pretty regularly. Receptionist was friendly and courteous and I waited for about 20 min (less then when Ive made an appointment to see my regular Dr.). Both nurse and doctor saw me promptly and were friendly and professional, and I was out of there in about 40 minutes. Great service; they sent prescription right to my pharmacy.
Hadnt felt well for about a month. Finally went to Hometown Urgent Care. The Doctor was wonderful! She was very thorough and and extremely nice. The nurse that assisted me was wonderful also! Gave me a breathing treatment and a shot. Cant say enough good things about both of them. Regrettably, I cannot remember their names, but I highly recommend the Clintonville Hometown Urgent Care.
Went in with a migraine at probably a busier part of the day. I got right in to a room, waited for a few minutes, nurse came in to ask a few questions, doctor was in to tell me what medicines she would administer (the ER migraine cocktail she called it), nurse came back to administer shots, doctor came in to make sure I was doing okay. My 2.5 day migraine was gone in less than 5 minutes. The doctor had me wait another 10 minutes just to make sure I was really feeling fine and not nauseous anymore, and then I was good to go.The staff made their presence known to me the whole time and I didn’t feel forgotten. The doctor was sympathetic and she seemed to truly understand the horrific pain and discomfort migraines bring to a person.I was in and out in a little over an hour, but some of that time was waiting to make sure I was doing okay with the medications. I went in to Urgent Care in the most pain with the most dizzying headache and in less than an hour it was all gone. I highly reccommend this urgent care whether it is your closest one or not.
Took my daughter in for an injured foot. Turned out to be a broken foot. They very kind and not only came to the car with a wheel chair to help bring her in but they followed us out helping her with crutches. The facility appeared sparse in the room but I appreciate a room not cluttered. It was all very clean. The front desk staff and the medical professionals were professional and welcoming. Will go there again.
Ive visited this Urgent Care a total of 3 times and all three times have been absolutely wonderful. The first time I went about 30 minutes before they closed and I didnt even know it. The staff still treated me like I was the first customer that day. The second time, I had a cold/sinus infection, but they wanted to do a mono test just in case. I ended up passing out and the Dr. took care of me and got me a cup of water and made sure I was okay until I could drive back home. The third and most recent time I went there, the waiting room was full but I was only there maybe a total of an hour. The dr. wrote me a prescription and it was filled within 30 minutes or less and also they followed up and called me to let me know that the lab work they sent came back all negative, and asked if I was feeling better. All in all, this is the best Urgent Care Ive ever been to. CONSISTENTLY--which is very important.
Pleased with the staff, not pleased with the lack of equipment, or the absurd hidden fees. I would advise against going here.I went to this facility because my IUD became displaced and causing significant pain in my abdomen. The wait time was not significantly long. The staff was courteous and professional, no problem with the people who assisted me. They were lovely. However, the doctor said that they did not have the equipment to properly see the IUD and if I was still having pain to go to the ER. Thankfully it seems that my IUD fixed itself and the pain subsided. Then I got the bill and was shocked to find a $100 New Patient Fee on top my co-pay. I couldve gone to the ER for that price AND gotten the proper treatement. As a student affording this fee is difficult. Id rather they throw out my paperwork since I do not wish to go back there with hidden fees like that.Id be happy to contribute to their exorbitant fees if they would spend it appropriately like on an ultrasonic machine rather than for the staff to use tablets to gather paperwork.
The Clintonville Hometown Urgent was amazing. I was so impressed with the minimal wait, friendliness of the staff, and professionalism of my provider, Melanie. She was knowledgeable, efficient, and took time to actually listen. She made this the best urgent care experience I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend this facility and this provider. Thank you so much.
Always in and out! Take care of my every need, never leave with unanswered questions or concerns. Danille at the front desk was very polite, nice and very sweet. Griffin and Kevin talked with my 10yr old and got him smiling because he was so worried about me. And many thanks to the PA-C, Melanie! Ive seen her a few times and id consider her a friend. Shes professional, remembers paitents and their background. Very clean office and welcoming environment.
I do not reccomend this place. I stopped in at 930 (listing on Google says they open at 9) to get a physical for work. There was no one in the office and the office was closed with a long line of people. Dont waste your time, go to another urgent care in town. This place may be cheaper, but its cheap for a reason.
Recently went to Hometown Urgent Care for a PE drug screen. When I called ahead to confirm hours I found that I only had a small time window for arrival. I hurriedly drove there worried that I wouldnt make it but upon my arrival (I had 5 minutes to spare) Sam got me signed in and processed through with no issues at all. He was very warm and friendly while we interacted. I have been to other Urgent Care facilities but was definitely impressed with Hometown. Absolutely would return again.
The people were nice but the Doctor wouldnt see me because she was immunocompromised and they thought there was a chance I had COVID. I was happy to take a COVID test but since the doctor wouldnt see me I never got to talk to them about my other issues and since the doctor couldnt see me they couldnt prescribe me anything. So, Im in constant pain and just waiting on COVID-19 test. They should really consider having a doctor that is not immunocompromised working so they can actually see patients instead of telling them there is nothing they can do cause you are potentially sick. Also, the Covid tests they are giving take 3-7 days. I would suggesting checking elsewhere because after getting my test people informed OSU and County get get you results in 24 hours.
It really would be nice if they at least answered the phone. We called for two different days to try and find out about a physical to see if it was worth driving an hour and a half to see them. Both days they did not pick up, and both days when we got there they just had signs on the door saying they couldnt be done.I get that you cant get it done, but at least let us call to check if so we can avoid a three hour drive for nothing.
I was afraid my son sprained or broke his wrist yesterday, so we came right away for xrays. Surprisingly they werent busy so we were in and out super fast! We usually never have a long wait, even when they are full of people.Staff has always been kind and courteous to me and my children.I admit, I even like them better than their current pediatrician!!!
Earlier today I saw Melanie for breathing issues, my back hurt, chest felt heavy and I was yawning a lot. A few weeks ago I had a positive IgM for pneumonia and my doctor at Cleveland Clinic missed it. Melanie saw me, heard me out, reviewed the test results I had in hand, genuinely listened and after an exam she agreed there is some lung rattling there. I will hopefully be feeling better soon thanks to her attentiveness and professionalism, knowing that patients know their bodies the best. Test results help too. Will come back if needed (which I hope I don’t) but I’ll ensure I see her every time. A true professional who cares about the health of the people she sees. Thank you!!
We went in today for my daughter (6 yrs old) and they were great with her. They answered all my questions and I had quite a few. We were in and out in less then an hour and she got a Halloween goodie bag, which she loved. If she cant see her doctor and its not bad for the ER then this is the place we go, have been since she was 2 and never had a bad experience.
In and out quick, no long wait and not 50 pages of forms (was a half of 1 page to fill out!!), very friendly staff, personable and professional. My visit was right after opening on a Monday morning for injuries after a fall. Office and rooms are clean and spacious, building is clean and easy to navigate with plenty of parking and easy access from Henderson or High st. Will definitely come here again when needed.
Our family of five frequents this location... And we have been going here for almost three years. We come here for minor things like sinus infections, rashes, utis. I actually had a hard time finding a doctor in the area, so they were my go-to for everything for awhile. Sounds crazy, but sometimes I prefer them over our pediatrician!Staff is great. Theyre not always super friendly but they are friendly enough; never rude.Im not sure if we have seen doctors, or if theyre all Physicians Assistants. However, I do know that weve seen PAs with absolutely no issues. There have been times where I left frustrated thinking... The doctor has to be wrong, theres no way thats all it is!!! LOL!! But we have yet to be diagnosed inappropriately.Wait times have not been long. I feel like were always in and out.
I went in with severe vomiting. After sitting in the waiting room for half an hour, during which they wouldnt give me water or a vomit bag, I was told my insurance was invalid and they were unable to treat anyone without insurance. I had been to two doctors earlier that week and my insurance was fine. I then went to the ER instead and - guess what? My insurance was fine. There was no line and no crowd at the urgent care, so Im unsure why I had to sit in misery for so long only to be refused treatment.
I’ve always had a great experience working with the staff at this location. They’re always friendly and genuinely concerned about my welfare. I’ve came to this location dealing with several different issues on several different occasions and I always get the same great care; from the receptionist to the nurses to the doctor. I will only go to this one.
I had brought my boyfriend here last week. I saw the reviews and was kind of iffy but it was the closest place to go. After filling out the paperwork, we were seen in under 5 minutes. The doctor was great, told us what he thought was wrong and got us our discharge notes and a note to the E.R. to get us seen quicker at the hospital. He was diagnosed correctly, we were not charged anything and we left the building in under a half hour.
This was my first visit ever to an urgent care. Chose this one because it was close to home. I had a great experience here, everybody was very nice, they took great care of me, very clean facility and the wait time was not that bad. I highly recommend this place if you need an urgent care.
Everyone was nice but the service was horrible. The doctor only spent around 5 minutes to diagnose my problem and pushed me out with two prescriptions. There was not even anyone waiting. I get home and take what is prescribed and two hours later Im still in horrible pain. I was here about 6 months ago and was seen by a woman doctor. She really took her time to diagnose my problem and explained everything very well. The guy doctor didnt bother explaining anything and was just in a hurry to get me out of there. I know they get around $200 per visit so to push everyone without even bother explaining anything is horrible. It cost me $50 and my problem (my whole head aches along with my teeth) still persists just as bad. He literally looked in my ears, looked in my mouth, and then pushed on my jaw and when I told him it hurt he said tjd. He gave me a anti biotic and a anti inflammatory which I told him I was already taking 800 mg ib profin. Whatever your problem is youre better off waiting it out or going to see a real doctor...
We had a very bad experience coming in about 30 minutes before close of business. They may be better if you come in the middle of the day, but we arent sure. Anyway, our doctor had very bad bedside manner and didnt give us any information about the medicine he prescribed or what actions we should take in addition to the medicine. He was very short with us and seemingly uninterested.I would strongly recommend trying another urgent care since there are so many others in town. We live very close to this urgent care but will not come here again.
I did not want to give even one star. This place is a joke. Never open when you need them and when they say they will be open like right now. Took a covid test on Saturday December 19 and was told I would hear from them on Tuesday. No call received. So I called and got the covid test result phone number and have called each day since with no return call. Today is one week since the test and no one has called or reached out to me any way. If you need urgent care, do not go here. Waste of time.
I can not say enough about this urgent care. Every time I go I am in and out and no time and the stuff is wonderful. So very nice and friendly. The doctor was really good asked me questions and let me answer them and gave me some meds and on my way. I tell all of my friends about this place. Thanks again and please keep up the great job.Barbara Allen
They are terrible health care professionals. My mother went in for a TB test. Because we are foreign she in the past had received BCG vaccination (which sometimes gives false positive). The lady who looked at her swelling levels said um it should be less than 10mm and yours is 11mm looked disgusted and said You have TB! And walked away! We tried to explain that she got BCG vaccination and the other lady brushed us off and signed some papers and we left. After leaving I then realized that this rash decision they made was probably because 1. We are black and 2. We are foreign. My mother and I both speak perfect British English and have a great understanding of health/science. I am currently a dental student and would like to say this is poor and appalling! If you work in the health care sector you are supposed to be of help to your customers!
Hometown Urgent Care♥️ has always been there for me. Thankyou. I’ve had a few mishaps and injuries in my time. I have always been able to count on Melanie and the wonderful staff there at Hometown Urgent Care (4400 North High Stree) to come thru for me when ever I was in need.💯💕❤️😔 Thanks again🙏🏽
Very rude front desk woman from the onset of me walking in until the time I left. The treatment I received while I was there is appalling with a healthcare business as I am too a nurse and could NEVER imagine treating someone with such disrespect and unconcern. To me this staff are extremely lazy and the front desk woman noting my frustration that it took over 15 minutes for her to process the new patient paperwork when we were the ONLY people in the urgent care and then it took 1 hour and 15 minutes for my brother to be called back to take a pre-employment screening URINE test that she initially told me would be $40, then when I was getting frustrated due to her taking forever and asking if this was going to take all day given the attitude and rudeness she had been giving me for over 30 minutes at that point then came back and told me it would be $85. This place is a disgrace to healthcare settings and should be replaced by another business that has more self worth. This speaks for the company in its entirety...worthless staff, rude, and she intentionally overcharged. As a nurse I will be spreading the word about this place when anyone asks for a recommendation.
I went after 4:00 on a Friday and there were no other people in the waiting room. Nurse brought me to an exam room & Dr. White saw me a few minutes later. He did the appropriate neuro exam & gave me 2 scripts, a steroid to reduce pain & muscle relaxer to help with the muscle spasms in my back. Dr. White was pleasant & courteous throughout the exam.
Doctor was OK, although had a poor bedside manner. I even visited at a very quiet time, so I cant even blame her being overwhelmed with appointments. She prescribed several meds for bronchitis/pneumonia. When I left to go on vacation 1 week later and one of my meds didnt get packed, I called to see if they could please call in a Rx to where I am located. They said no and that they could not call Rx across state lines. Which is false. I have had doctors call prescriptions across state lines multiple times as I am in the medical field. Very disappointed with overall service and care.
Do not go here. First off, the first time I went here, they sent my bill to an address that doesnt even exist due to incompetent desk staff, I didnt even know I had a past due bill. Second of all, I came in there on 3/17/17, coughing up blood. Second time I went to a doctor today, hopefully I could get some decent answers. I was wrong. My practitioner, Allison, told me my bloody sputum came from nosebleeds. (I smoked for seven years. I know what an infection in the lungs feels like, blood is ALWAYS a bad sign.) Anyway: it took them half an hour to set up the xRay room, but I feel like they didnt xRay the correct parts of my lungs or bronchial tree, because they apparently didnt find anything. I doubt they really sent those x-rays to a real radiologist, because it was closing time by the time I left. Allison told me theres nothing they can do, antibiotics wont help because its viral. (I can tell you its most certainly not.) Im missing days of work and wasting money on mediocre healthcare. I could have had this cleared up if I had someone who listened and didnt just want to go home. I want my money back, this place is garbage.
One of the worst experiences in my life. I was in excruciating pain with a corneal abrasion. The Dr. was overweight, breathing heavily and red-faced. I told him what was wrong with me, but he was rude, stating that He couldnt do anything if I wasnt going to cooperate. My non-cooperation was closing my eye as he rummaged around my eyeball with a Q-Tip, Even though I told him what the problem was, in my opinion, he continued to be counter-productive. He then told me to just go home and flush it. That made it worse. When I went to a real doctor the next day, it was exactly as I thought it was...a corneal abrasion. This past weekend my girlfriend sprained her ankle. We drove out of our way to avoid your urgent care and will continue to do so in the future. Get your act together!
Arrived at 4:47 on a Sunday with my wife who was in significant pain. She forgot her ID at home which was 1/2 mile away. Receptionist said I had to have it so I asked if my wife could start paperwork until I got it. She said yes but had to be before 5:00. I went and was back running down the hall when I saw my wife. The asked her to LEAVE! She was doubled over in pain on her own. It was 4:59 on my phone. Receptionist told her if she wasnt with the Dr at 5:00 shed wouldnt be seen. I guess you could see this from different perspectives but I think it was ridiculous and uncaring. Certainly not the type of care I want or would pay for. Sorry excuse for a medical facility. And apparently a staff and Dr with no empathy. We found out she was a few hours away from her appendix bursting.6/11/2015 - I responded to the request from the owner below on 6/3/15 and never received a response.
I would say that someone is reading these reviews. I was seen at this U.C. in May of 2016, and this time 9/21/2016. It seemed like a completely different place. I probably would not have gone had I not needed an xray. Im glad that I did. They were quick, efficient, and actually seemed to know what they were doing. I was very impressed with Christina. I have worked in an U.C. before, and I know that you have to be able to do multiple things. She did an awesome job with everything. She is definitely a keeper! I probably should have given this visit a 5, but that one less star was the a left over sour taste from the first visit. I was very appreciative of the care that I received this time. (The staff made allthe difference).
Have to pay a bill of $150 after insurance for the doctor to tell me to watch a video for a maneuver to help my vertigo episode on YouTube. She wouldnt do it in the clinic because she said she had a bad back. Ridiculous, I paid for confirmation of what I told her I had and then she didnt help.
I came here with an unusual problem hoping to get some direction - the nurse practitioner came in first and was extremely rude and judgemental. Then doctor then came in and said “I don’t know” multiple times and I left after 10 minutes with no answers. Not happy with my experience especially after paying $50 for a copay!
Today was my second time going to this particular location, and I will NEVER go again. While the staff and doctor is nice enough...an adequate amount of treatment is never achieved. I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, the 2nd time I went in, and I was given Flonase and a cough suppressant. Im not sure why I was given a cough suppressant...as I never said that I had a cough bad enough to warrant the meds (I wont be taking it). I did, however, say that I have UNBEARABLE congestion and cannot take OTC decongestants due to having high blood pressure. So, I call and ask if I can be seen again because I am now realizing that my congestion has gotten worse and I wont be able to sleep. When I explained that I need to be reevaluated (I used to get sinus infections 3 or 4 times out of a year, for 3 years - so i know what I should be prescribed), the receptionist states that I must wait 24-48 hours to discern if the meds already prescribed will work. That is THE stupidest thing Ive ever heard. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!!!
I have visited Hometown on multiple occasions and have found the staff here to be helpful, efficient and reasonably thorough. It is very important to understand that Hometowns role is as a first line of triage and is not intended to supplant the normal flow of healthcare (i.e. routine doctors visits and recommendations). My visits have always left me with nearly immediate comfort and, when necessary, the information required (i.e. a trip to an orthopedic doctor) to return to good physical health.I very much appreciate their time, effort and attention.
I received an email from Hometown Urgent Care asking for Google feedback, so here it is. I left this comment on their Facebook right after it happened. They urged me to write them at their wecare email. Apparently, they do not care, as they never responded!I had been sick for three weeks with what seemed like an upper respiratory infection and sinus infection. I had felt better for 4 days, and on New Year’s Day it came back with a vengeance. I’m a nurse and had to call off work for that night. I looked on Google to see what Urgent Care might be open with it being the holiday, and ended up going to Hometown on North High Street at about 4:30 PM. There was only one person ahead of me so it went really fast. The main issue was that the doctor that saw me did not listen to me at all. He came in and said, “So you’re being seen for nausea and vomiting?” I said, “Well, I’m not really nauseated. I just threw up once and I think it was because of mucus. It’s mostly in my chest and my sinuses.” He said in a smart way, “You can’t have vomiting without nausea.” I’m a nurse. I’m not stupid, but he talked to me like I was stupid. I told him I understand that you have to be nauseated to vomit, but it was not persistent. I only felt nauseated because of all the mucus and what I really needed help with was getting things in my chest loosened and out of my lungs and sinuses. He started typing on his tablet and told me that Walgreens was closed. I asked him which Walgreens, as he didn’t even ask which pharmacy I preferred. He told me he was sending it to the Walgreens closest to this Urgent Care on Morse Rd and High Street. I told him that is not my Walgreens. Mine is on Cleveland and Oakland Park, but I wasn’t sure if they were open or not. Since he told me the first Walgreens was closed, I assumed he saw that my Walgreens was open. I found out later that my Walgreens was also closed, so if I even wanted or needed the prescriptions he prescribed for me, I would not have been able to get them. After he sent the prescriptions through, he opened the door as if we were done. I was really sick and out of it so I was quite confused. He hadn’t even told me what he prescribed. I asked him, “Is that it?” and he said yes, he sent my prescriptions through, and the exit is right there. I went to the receptionist and asked her, “Is he going to tell me what he prescribed or am I done?” She said, “You’re done. Did you want a visit summary?” I told her I did, as I had no idea what he had even given me! It turns out he prescribed fluticasone (Flonase) and promethazine (Phenergan.) Flonase is over-the-counter and for allergies. I’ve had doctors prescribe it in the past many times, and it is not effective for me. If I had wanted that, I could have gotten it without going to urgent care. Had the doctor spoke to me about it, I would’ve told him this. The promethazine was also useless. I only threw up that one time and I specifically told him I wasn’t nauseated.I was discouraged because after this useless visit, I continued to be sick for 3 weeks and it wouldnt go away. I knew I didnt have a fever and it was likely viral, but I have asthma and could barely breathe. The mucus was deep and thick in my chest, and Guaifenesin wasn’t working for me, which I told him. But, it was as though he didn’t listen to me at all.
I went in with a boxers fracture in my right hand. They did a good job with an x-ray and an ace bandage. Problem is, when the $600 bill came I tried to make payments. I called 5 times and no call back. They sent my account to collections. Good luck HTUC ever getting your money from someone who would have paid. Totally unprofessional. Go somewhere else if you like your credit.
Every time I come for a simple drug test what should 3-5 mins turns in to a hour long process . Customer Service is not good enough to have people waiting here an hour or more for something so simple . People who I arrived before was getting called back before me it’s just ridiculous
Second time there. Should have learned from first bad experience. Doc was arrogant. Didnt want to explain his findings. Flu/Cold are similar I understand. After one week of getting worse I called and was told I had to pay to be reexamed for the same symptoms. Went to Kroger and was given antibiotics . BTW my first visit was a total screw up also. NEVER AGAIN DR WHITE !!!!!!!
I went to the Hilliard Hometown Urgent Care. They sent me here since they couldnt do x-rays at Hilliard. Arrived well before closing time. The doors were locked and two people were at the desk looking at me. I tried the door again, then noticed a sign saying they werent taking patients because they were short staffed. Whaaaat? I called Clime Rd. Urgent Care and they told me to go to North High. I said thats where I just was! Then Clime Rd said to come there for my x-ray... another half hour drive due to traffic...
I absolutely love the staff at the Clintonville location! They are so professional and pleasant to be around. The staff at this location seems to go above and beyond to help you with anything you need. I would completely recommend to everyone I know that Hometown urgent care in clintonville is not only convenient but quick and efficient. Thank you for everything.
Have visited 3 times and when I was seen it was friendly and efficient. This morning I stayed up after working last night to visit this office and no one was here by 9:50 when I left. Posted hours are 9am everyday on the door and on the website. Its only courteous to maybe post on your door or website!
Great,Great ppl.they wanted to hear why we was there,Not just push us out the door saying it was covid,Which happened to us 2 weeks earlier, We told them it was Sinuses they told us it was Covid,We will not return to the Morse and High one,Thank you so much for listening

2022-07-01From beginning to end, the best urgent care experience I’ve had. One of the only medical providers who accepts out of pocket payment and out of network insurance in the area. The office and staff are absolutely amazing; You’re greeted by a darling receptionist, Icee machine, and coffee for your wait, which if your experience is like mine won’t be long at all. The nurse and doctor were both really pleasant to talk to and took time to understand my concerns coming in. Dr.Burner was one of the best practitioners I’ve been treated by and she made me feel extremely comfortable and respected as a young female patient.

2022-07-01EDIT TO REPLY TO REPLY: Emailed of all of this information including my insurance information the same day I wrote this review. I asked for a follow up call. I have not received anything at all back. Its now Friday.Visited last November. I worked in medical front office for 6 years and its insane a business would allow its patients to be treated like this.

2022-06-12All the staff were very friendly professionals assisting me. Knowledgeable and caring I highly recommend Wellness Urgent Care to all. Much better than going to ER and waiting hours to be seen and attended to! Great work! Thank you so much!

2022-07-06Literally the worst urgent care I’ve ever been too. Once I came for an ear infection, needed to have my ear wicked but they sent me home because they didn’t have the equipment. Once came here for COVID testing - pre registered so that I would have a spot in line. Waited over an hour as person after person was who checked in after me was seen. When I was finally fed up enough and said something, they told me they organize according to service. What is the point of pre-registering. Do not waste your time, go somewhere else. I sure will.

2022-07-07Scheduling an appointment and registering online made it super easy to get in quick and see the doctor. The staff was great and helped me the second I walked in the door. I was seen by the doc within ten minutes of arrival!

2022-03-04Unfortunately, this was my worst experience with a medical facility. The managers are very unprofessional!.They lost our lab samples for COVID testing prior to our flight. No one called us for updates, I even submitted a complaint online and no one go back to me for the past 3 months.Whats even worse that everytime we called for the results, a person will just forward the call to a voice mail without even listening to your question!

2022-04-07Got in and out in appropriate time. Very professional and friendly. The front desk girl was amazing. She should teach her skills/communication with others in the same front desk environment. I was so impressed.

2022-04-08The front desk girl “Anna” I believe her name is, always has an attitude and is not friendly. 2 wks ago came in for a f/u BWC injury, she wanted to turn me away since the original provider Alyssa was not in the clinic. I informed her that is against the company policy, she brought the provider to the front and the provider stated that she is a traveler and normally she wouldn’t do it and because they had a lot of patients it would take long, I told her the same thing, eventually they checked me in, but there were no seats left and there was about 2 hr wait so I went to Clime rd and was seen quickly without a problem. Today I scheduled an appointment for 5pm here, checked in, 2 patients ahead of me without an appointment; the same front girl let them in before me, when I asked her, so having an appointment doesn’t mean a thing, she replied: well they’ve been sitting here for a while now. I told her there could be 20 patients sitting here, but she needs to call in people that have appointments on time vs walk ins.

2022-06-02The receptionist was very rude and the checkin process here is ridiculous. I walked up and she ignored me to fill the slurpee machine. She had asked me to checkin online so she could continue fixing the thing.. I didn’t know medical receptionists were also gas station clerks. She asked me what my visit was for (because there is nowhere to explain on the online checkin) and as I was explaining she cut me off and said OK U CAN TAKE A SEAT NOW— ???? I am also reception at a medical office and I couldn’t imagine being so passive aggressive to a patient. The nurse was also very rude and I felt as if I couldn’t tell her my symptoms. She was not personable at all. However, the doctor was very sweet, professional and personable. When she came in, I finally felt like I could tell someone what was going on and get the issue handled.
