Im reviewing on behalf of my sister who was in a car accident and was t-boned by one of their clients. This accident happened September 20th and it is October 13th. Its been more than THREE WEEKS and they will not give her a rental car, even though she cannot open her driver side door and the window of that door is busted among other things. Three little girls 4 and under and they continue to bully her into giving a recorded statement (there is a police report) in addition to giving ridiculous excuses before doing anything. This should have been done weeks ago and at this point, things are not moving any faster. It will likely be a MONTH or longer before she gets anything from them. This place is seriously a joke.
Very similar experience to Erin Santana. They totaled my car, and low balled me to no end even when I explained what was new and upgraded and compared to almost identical vehicles. I had to start communications because I had no word for weeks. The adjuster never did explain why they were offering $1000 less than an almost identical car, when mine had 5000 less miles. If their client hits you give up or lawyer up because you wont get your moneys worth any other way
Was unable to pay bill when due because of unforeseen expenses. I called and they were able to work with me until my next payday! I love that they were so nice and when I called to pay my bill they exceeded in being understanding and just as nice. I am glad my husband chose this company!
The agent kim in wilmington says the policy says the payment is due on the fifth of each month, so why does it pull on various days, sometimes the 7th, 8th or 9th you never know, why do others say we will pull on the 3rd, and always do like clock work. kims answer the policy says the 5th so why dont you always make sure the money is in your account on the 5th, and then pertend its paid and then when it does cross your bank no worries. anybody else have this problem, be sure to comment.
I had an artisan liability policy with them that was supposed to also cover my tools. My tools were stolen from a house under construction. I had locked up the house as best I could, but the thieves found a way in. Wayne Insurance Group took over a month to tell me they were denying my claim over a loophole in my policy. Their adjuster and the management were in no way understanding or sympathetic. To them its about finding a way to avoid paying. Take your business elsewhere.
Hail storm caused severe damage to my home over 7 weeks ago. My experience with Wayne has been unpleasant to say the least. They propose to patch the holes in my vinyl siding with a siding that does not even match grain, lap, or profile. They also suggest painting said vinyl siding (that again, does not match grain, lap, or profile). We have submitted over a dozen photos that indicate this. Wayne does not seem to understand or care about Ohios Line of Sight Law, which states: When an interior or exterior loss requires replacement of an item and the replaced item does not match the quality, color or size of the item suffering the loss, the insurer shall replace as much of the item as to result in a reasonably comparable appearance.Ive spoken with several of my neighbors (all of whom had damage from the storm) and theyve been able to get their homes re-sided, re-roofed, etc. and have moved on with their lives. None of them experienced this back-and-forth hassle with their insurance companies. I certainly never expected this to be a fun experience, but it has been pretty awful and unnecessarily stressful. I would warn anyone to avoid Wayne Insurance, and I plan to file a complaint with the Department of Insurance.
I suggest highly that you cancel your policy with this insurance company should you have one. I have two policies with them which will be getting cancelled. One is for our commercial auto insurance and the other one is for an Artesian contractors million-dollar policy. We are small business owners so we wanted to make sure that we were able to be put back to where we were before the accident had occurred. This was not the case. We were hit by a semi that did not stop after hitting our truck. We were unable to obtain any information on the semi or license plate number and we are paying big time for it because we chose Wayne Mutual Insurance as our insurance carrier. Which was a huge mistake. The insurance adjuster, Nikki, is extremely rude and short and did not communicate well with us and made last-minute decisions without consulting us first in regards to OUR vehicle. Her boss Andy thus far hasnt been very helpful either. I should have checked the reviews on this company before we decided to go with them. Had I done that I may not be in the position I am now. So warning to anyone looking to purchase a policy, I strongly suggest that you do not and you go anywhere else but here.
A few years ago my company had several properties insured under them for a long time. The very first clam, they refunded the premiums for the property affected and cancelled the insurance claiming a discrepancy in the application paperwork. Paperwork that was filled out by their agent. Left me with $30,000 worth of damage and no coverages. It took me years to recover.I find it funny that the discrepancy was conveniently discovered after the clam.Needless to say, I immediately looked for another insurance company to cover my companys properties. Having Wayne mutual is as good as not having any coverage at all. Worthless!Knowing what I know now I wish I have reported them to the insurance commissioners. Something you should consider if you recently was scammed by them.
Update: Check has been issued to contractor to complete work. Claim is now taken care of. I do not recommend this company unless you are comfortable dealing with the hassle.We have had an open claim for over 3 months and have yet to close it. It has been difficult to reach the adjuster. We did speak to a manager who assured us we would be well cared for, still waiting on that. Our contractor also reaches out to the adjuster with very little luck. It is disappointing a company that should be taking care of your property when needed, only makes an effort to stuff their pockets.
Had a contractor that this company insures, complete some work. The work was not done properly. This caused other issues and the company denied responsibility and refused to deal with the claim. They stated the issues were not their responsibility because the responsibility ended at the work. Well, when the improper work causes other issues that originate from the work that should have been performed, it is their responsibility to deal with the situation. If you have this insurance company or are having contracting work done by someone insured by them, you should go elsewhere.
Tried to get insurance with them to match my previous insurance company. 3 vehicles. One rental not too hard!!It was like pulling teeth!!They added things I did not want they didnt cover the things I wanted!!Either they are very bad at customer service or they are not that intelligent.GO SOMEWHERR ELSE!!
One of their clients rear ended me and this company offered me such little money to pay for the damages THEIR client caused. My car was old but it was in perfect condition before it was rear ended. Tried to get more money by comparing my car to other cars and they still low balled me.
ZERO Stars, Worse company ever. I got roof damage on February 24th, this company took until April 4th to tell me that my damage wasnt going to be anymore then my deductible. Which is bull, I had 3 companies come out and give estimates on my roof because I was told that I needed to get those which is actually their responsibility. After I did that then they decide that a month later they were going to send their own people out, which of course is going to do whatever they want when they work for them. A complete JOKE. Says I dont have damage, then how is it that when it rains the rain comes in my house. Worse communication and customer service. RUN AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THEM. I reported them to the state insurance department. I am also going to call the better business bureau and the attorney general. I will be contacting an attorney as well. What they do to people is wrong
The same experience as Jackie wise Wilson. Same storm no help after paying premiums for 41 years. Neighbors had similar damage and their claims have been fulfilled and made new. What a scam company not sure how they can claim to help people all takepaid out 5000 in tree removal no help at all from Wayne mutual
If I could put 0 stars I would! We had two roofing companies come to our home to give us quotes on chimney repairs as the chimney is leaking and causing damage in our home. Both said home owners needs to fix this as it’s damage from storms and wind. They however decide to sent someone of their choosing to look another roofing company and of course they said it’s a roofing error and they won’t cover or fix it! But will fix the interior haha dumbest thing I’ve ever heard let’s fix the ceiling but not what’s actually causing the problem!! They are a SCAM! Canceling my policy Monday and turning them in to the BBB

We did work for a customer that was insured through wayne mutual and they guaranteed coverage for a tree that had fallen on their house. after the work was completed they refused to pay the claim. They had told me they were issuing payment. then after 4 months they said they had found a loophole in the policy and refused to pay
Wayne Mutual Insurance Co. is the worst insurance company to ever deal with, they will tell you one thing and do another and then make it look like it was all your fault! I would never recommend anyone to use this company. The lady in charge of the claim was very misleading, horrible customer service!!

2022-07-06Im giving a 1 star review because the review wouldnt take zero. They didnt follow up (2020) with improvements made on my building until after the storm destroyed it (2022), so we could increase coverage, and now weve lost it all. Its their fault and Im paying for it. Not to mention our claims adjuster wouldnt even return my calls, even after three days, at least until I called the home office and asked if he was still employed there. We will be looking for new insurance. If you go with this company, you have made a mistake. Im sure this truth will never make it to the review so others can read it, and someone will delete it, but it helps me to vent about this horrible company.Darrell Griffin

2022-06-16If I could give them 0 stars, believe me I would. They’re known to be ‘conservative’ so they can pick and choose who they want their money from which makes absolutely no sense to me…this is not a dating website/app…you’re a CAR INSURANCE company, cmon now. If you get into the littlest trouble with the law or you accidentally hit a deer, or even someone hits you and you have on file that those accidents were not your fault..they will still cancel your policy immediately and refer you to another insurance company that raises the price of eveything…take it from me and DO NOT get a policy with them!

2021-12-08I love my insurance, great prices with great coverage. Easy process on switching my cars out. I had a home claim it started out really bad to the point I had to cancel the claim.I was contacted later by another adjustor who asked me what had happened and why I cancelled my claim. I explained the situation and he has ensured that they would get this taken care of.We pay for this coverage for a reason, to make things easier during a hard time. and to have an easy process during this time took a load of my shoulders.I would like to thank them for taking the time to approach me again concerning this matter. We are very happy with how this process has started off again and will finally be completed.

2022-01-28My husband has a business policy with Wayne Insurance. He has been a policyholder for over 5 years. My husband has been attempting to settle his claim for the last 4 months to no avail. He has submitted all the needed paperwork and met with Wayne Insurance’s lawyer to complete a deposition. We still haven’t heard anything. First the attorney was dishonest and saying my husband didn’t have a coverage that is clearly on the Declarations Page. The company is stalling to pay out. I would t recommend this company.

2022-02-24I must say this insurance company has held me the longest with price and service very good. My cost hasnt really fluctuated other than when buying a new vehicle and the normal home value increase with todays housing market.

2021-01-25GREAT COMPANY! I have my home and auto through them and they took the time to make sure I had the correct coverage for each policy. If I have ever have a question the customer service team is readily available to answer any questions I have. I had my windshield recently fixed and it was very easy for me to submit the claim and get it replaced with a very low deductible. Would recommend to anyone!

2021-08-09We want to give a shout out to Wayne Insurance Group for our recently submitted claim. From the initial claim to the end, Wayne insurance group was nothing but prompt in reimbursement and essentially hassle free. They worked collaboratively with our roofing crew to get the job done in a timely and efficient manner. Andrea our claims adjuster was so kind and helpful. Can’t say enough about this insurance group and would highly recommend to anyone. It’s nice to know for the homeowners premium we pay, they come through when we need them!
