The restarts food was OK, softly greasy but hot. The hygiene of the restaurant and prep areas required attention to detail and would not easily pass the UK hygiene standards for a food premise
We did not stay to dine on this occasion. My Mom pointed where we preffered to sit and the one staff memener insisted we sit in a spot that would have had the high chair wed need for my baby blocking the hall with the bathrooms. We were willing to wait for the booth we wanted that just needed to be cleared but the waiting seats were sticky. No one greeted us and no one had a smile on their face. This was during a busy time on Satutday BUT I shouldnt have felt so uncomfortable that all I could do was tell my family we need to go somehwere else. I was really bummed becasue we love waffle house and never experienced anythinb like this there. 😪
Love this joint!Since we dont have waffle house in Canada (least I have never come across a single location) ... this place is a treat for us. Oh, and theyre open 24 hours!Service was amazing, the staff is so friendly, knowledgeable and nice, the restaurant was clean (the AC was a bit too cold for our taste, but since the cooking area is exposed, guess it makes sense, since they want the cooking staff to be comfortable).We order a breakfast plate, workshops with a salad, and their fantastic waffle. All arrived quickly and hot, perfectly prepared and seasoned. The simple waffle, their original recipe/flavour and was great, we ate it all.Well be back, as my wife really enjoyed it (it was her first time here).
I wouldn’t even give this place one star but you have to!!! 1225 in the morning and were traveling through and I notice how nasty the store is every single table in the restaurant was covered in dirty dishes and nobody in the restaurant except the two servers and the cook and we’re told it would be an hour before we could sit down and eat because they only have one server!!! One server for two people!!! Gtfoh!!! I will be calling the corporation and let them deal with this mess!!! Sickening!!!
The food is great and if you dont mind a weird lesbian climbing on the tables you get high quality 3am entertainment! I will be back next time Im in the area.

Very good much better than the Eastlake Waffle House. The food was delicious and I wasnt overcharged. Give the new employees a lot of credit for keeping the place open 24/7. Yum 😋
The service here was terrible. I was ignored from the time I walked in until I stood at tue register and tried to make eye contact with every server there. Finally one of them asked very rudely do you want to order food? But half way through taking my order she told me to go have a seat and wanted to help the other costumes who were waiting in the line that formed behind me. I cancelled my order and left. I wont be returning.

This Waffle House is always clean with excellent food. Been here approx twice a year for the last 6 years and never had anything less great. Grits seem to always be fresh.

Loud disrespectful off duty waitresses flirting with manager. It took 10 mins to get a cup of coffee. Music way to loud 2 senior citizens just about ran out of there. I will NOT return to this bulls&@t.
They charged me $31.35 for a sandwich then when I asked why the charge on my card she apologized for this and reran my card for an additional $20 after tip and said I would be reimbursed $31.35.Called the store today spoke to a manager to resolve the issue & guess what I have to dispute transaction with my bank nothing they can do on there end.Congratulations Waffle House I hope the $51 was worth loosing a valuable customer. I will never dine at a Waffle House again or recommend your establishment.Food was not that great either hash browns were hard & kind of on the burnt side. So yeah I paid $51 for a steak sandwich 🥪 that was mediocre
The food was great. All of the staff greet you warmly. All the food is made to order and it comes to you very quickly. The bathroom was okay it wasnt bad but it wasnt great. Overall though it was pretty clean not a greasy spoon.
My sister and I popped in Saturday at around 10:00 at night, when only one worker was there. She was already busy with two other customers there since she was manning all of the stations on her own.She told us it might be a few minutes due to her handling everything but she didnt even take long at all, I honestly wait way longer at a McDonalds that has a lot of workers. She took our order and then got our food out to us in no time. The food was fresh, amazingly delicious (better than at the other Wafflehouse Ive been to), and overall great.Not to mention the server, despite once again doing everything herself, was more friendly than most/any waitresses Ive had before.Good job, Mel, you deserve a raise!! 10/10.
Food was great as always...waitress was totally disengaged, no sense of urgency, and unfriendly. I waited tables for 10+ years... Dont do the job if you are miserable.

They make good food and i enjoy coming here, when its open. The hours late seem to be erratic and they decide to close early on random days or just not appear to be there on any of the 24 hour times at late night.

I will never patronage a Waffle House and heres why:I went inside with my disabled dad and it was about 1:45pm on a Friday. I had tried calling for the previous 2 days to confirm they could comfortably seat 5 adults and 2 kids. They never answered the phone. When I walked in, they told me to sit where ever. I told them there was 7 of us and I looked around and didnt see somewhere this would work. She said they were closing the entire right side of the building and I could only sit on the left side. I thought she was joking. She pointed to a section with 3 booths back-to-back. First of all, each both only accommodated 4 people, and there was a couple sitting in the middle booth. I told her we all wanted to sit together and she told me I could ASK THE COUPLE TO MOVE OVER 1 BOOTH. I pointed again to the empty section of the restaurant and she said no, we were not allowed to sit there. I confirmed, since I really couldnt believe what she said, that they wanted us to split between 2 booths with another couple in the middle (during a pandemic). We could sit on top of strangers or ask them to move over 1 section. They knew this was wrong or they wouldve offered to ask the couple themselves. We left and went across the street to Dennys. Thats where I recommend everyone go. Somewhere accommodating and safe during Covid.

Ordered one of their steak sandwiches the bread was burnt the hash browns were over cooked they were crunchy so I sent it back and have them take it off the ticket ordered a girl cheese for my five-year-old daughter the bread was burnt on it too there was another waitress Tucker nosey nose where it didnt belong she needs to stay out of a business that does not affect her

I travel the Country so I do reviews for ever place I eat at. This Waffle House was perfect. The staff were exceptional, my waitress Bre, was an exceptional server. The cook followed up to check on my food even. The restaurant was clean and restrooms where as well. I’d definitely stop here next time thru. Steak was perfect. Great Job Waffle House.

I the shear joy of eating at this Waffle House yesterday and just can’t stay quiet about it. The food was terrific but the staff and ambiance were even better. Bre, our server, was professional, cordial, beyond competent. The cook really knows his job and does it well. The manager was very personable. I’ve been eating in waffle houses since childhood and have NEVER encountered one that was run so well. They were packed with customers but were calm, SMILING and efficient. This store should be the training standard for all Waffle House employees. My fiance wants me to add he was amazed at how quiet the dishes were being done and the orders were called out. No dishes clanging and no yelling!! Thanks y’all!!!

The menu was different than the one I went to in Georgia, was looking forward to the Chicken N Waffles, but they didnt have it. My mum was really looking forward to some hot cocoa, since we were both tired and quite chilled from our basically non stop hellish trip from Boston -> Central Illinois, but alas they no longer offer that at this location. 😢Our waitress, LaToyia, was fantastic! I really cant reiterate that enough, she even let me take the leftover (not takeaway) cup of water out to my dog, in the car. I was pretty adamant that I would bring it back immediately after filling her bowl, and we were parked in front, but not every place has been nearly as pleasant about it!

We had a group of 6 from Columbus for a bachelorette party breakfast, and Delightful Dee was so amazing, our food was great, and all the other staff were awesome! This particular waffle house in Ohio only had two younger gentleman working in it because of qorker shortage as any other business in the u.s is having. Anyways we got seated right away there were probably ten or twelve people in there and we received excellent service and there didnt seem to be any long wait for the food . Waffle house should probably reward these two young men for their dedication to keeping their business going
They really do cook your food to order, have yet to be dissatisfied and been going there for years.
Thank GOD for Waffle House. Its the only place left for a driver to go to in order to get something decent to eat and talk to real live people. Ill always be a big fan. This spot is the same as all the other Waffle Houses. Good food and better service. As usual.

Visited on July 29 in the evening.. I stop at this location when passing by and it never disappoints. Food was great and so was the service. They were doing take out only after 7pm that day.

Pulled up n had to go see if they were open bc it was like a ghost town from the outside. Not a car in the parking lot but ours. Went inside and sat down not one of the 4 people working even acknowledged that we had came in. Finally got a guy who took our order but didnt put it in until he took the order of the next 3 guest so we got our food all separate one thing at a time. Hate to see it if they really got busy!!!!

Delightful Dee and the crew that was there (May 22, 2021) were astounding. Ive been to a few waffle houses, and I always enjoy them but Ive never seen one operate as smoothly as this one.
Waffle house is one of my favorite restaurants to go to for any mealThis one is very friendly & very considerate towards people with disabilities, I.e. One leg & crutches. They were very helpful & even offered to carry stuff out for me. My only gripe, which isnt really a complaint because I totally respect the reasoning, is that they are no longer open 24/7, but the breakfast hours are absolutely worth it.

Very disappointing place. very poor food quality. poor service. charges 10% tax on takeout food, which is 1)illegal in Ohio and 2)tax rate is not 10%.. mgmt saying thats what they do to all customers..strange place. compromises on food quality. I ordered cheese hash brown and upgraded waffle, paying extra, but didnt get it. didnt bother as was too disappointed with that place..even to bother with that..
First of all it took forever to get seated but it didnt bother me as much because they were short staffed..Food was good for what it was, but i noticed that there were people going out the place that didnt even have a mask on when they came there. Then i was watching the workers and one of them was on there phone but wearing gloves and she didnt change or wash her hands after and by then i was already seated so i just went with it hoping i dont get Covid. And last thing that bothered me was that they werent wearing there masks properly while working .its supposed to cover mouth and nose and it wasnt while another worker kept taking her mask down to yell out orders when its also not safe .Its a very small place and its easy to catch covid in a small place like that so they should really enforce the mask policy which they werent.
It was alright except for one server that was drinking a drink in front of us while we waited for a bit to get our drinks. Other than that food was great. I have no complaints hash browns could be a bit more cooked but other than that I award this waffle house 4 stars and a fine job.

My daughters and I stopped after a long day of errands, our food and service were great. Unfortunately my card was declined. I was so embarrassed!! Our waitress was so nice and understanding. I called my mother in law to ask for help, when I returned to the register our waitress said dont worry, we got it. Her and another customer (who over heard what was happening) paid our bill. I was so grateful, I started to cry. Thank you both for your generosity!! And God Bless!!

Always a pleasant greeting “mornin” with quick service. And the price is always low. My favorite breakfast joint.

Food was good! Service was ok! When I realized that I did not receive bacon on my Texas bacon cheesesteak melt, I told the server who said do you want me to remake it and I replied with no, the he stated what do you want me to do about it then. Just kind of sounded snippy. Honestly I just wanted to them to be aware of their mistake. When paying bill he apologized again!
When we got there, there were several tables available but no clean tables. The food itself isnt bad, but we didnt get what we ordered! She got my order completely wrong and when the waitress didnt bring out sausage that came with a different meal she proceeded to tell us how we told her we didnt want it. Then when she went to get it told us that she didnt charge us for it.... IT COMES WITH THE MEAL! Everytime I go I think, wow this isnt worth it, Im sure it will be better next time.... And somehow next time always ends up worse than the time before! I dont think we will be returning.
Waitress was nice took my order to go yeah, but after eating the food I almost immediately wanted to vomit. I ordered cheese and eggs which is my standard order that Ive been getting from a waffle House for 15 years when I stop there. I ordered an extra sausage thats the only thing I can think of that would make me feel that way is that the sausages were not cooked thoroughly. I did not notice an issue until I got to the last few bites of eggs.I wont be stopped with you again

The steak was not good at all. I asked if they would just replace it with sausage and adjust the price accordingly. They gave me sausage and removed the whole meal off the bill. The waitress also gave us a coupon for free waffles. Staff went above and beyond. Waffles were wonderful. So are the hash browns

Stopped by a couple of times over the past two weeks with the Wife in town for business. Really appreciate one of the cooks. She did a fantastic job on our Steak & eggs.
Great food, it was odd how they had the big part of the dining area closed but we didnt have to wait for a seat.
First experience and an excellent one. The best coffee, smooth hot and fresh and always refilled. I had a double cheeseburger that was to die for. A side of crispy hash browns topped with sausage gravy finished off my meal. I would definitely come again and again.
Waffle House is my safe go to while traveling...this location not only adheres to CDC guidelines it is one of the cleanest I have experienced.....food and service great...Megan our server was very engaging.

I am an over the road truck driver.waffle house is one of my favorite sit down restaurants. But imagine my surprise when I get to Austinburg Ohio and find out that you all close at 3.every other restaurant around here is open tilat least 10.i guess you people think that no one eats after 3.ill be taking my money somewhere else from now on.

What to say? First time at a Waffle House. Seems like an interesting breakfast place. The Country Ham was very good, as were the waffles. Better than a hotel breakfast. Grits were meh, mostly because they did nothing to melt the cheese into them.
Best hash browns in the nation. Try them scattered, smothered, diced and peppered. Food is reasonably priced and good quality. Their limited menu means youre getting a fresh meal. We travel all the way from Buffalo to come here for breakfast. Hands down - best breakfast spot.Dont forget to get your complimentary coffee to go!
Waffle House is one of the very few places I feel safe to eat in. The food is delicious, the coffee is great, and the prices are fair. One place I used to feel safe in had a motto, if its in sight, then it must be alright. Then that place walled their kitchen in. Not Waffle House! WH food is prepared right before your eyes! And they always greet you with a hello and a smile when you arrive. I love to go to Waffle House.

Got breakfast this morning for my cousin. Ordered chocolate waffles. They put all the chocolate in the middle of the waffle on top. Not even mixed into the batter. They were. Old as well. Also went back in the evening and we waited 10-15 mins inside before leaving. 3 workera on the clock and not one of them said a word to us or tried to take our order or give us menus or anything. Also it was FREEZING inside. We had to go to the car and get blankets and jackets and were still cold. Very uncomfortable experience.
I live in PA where we dont have any Waffle Houses, so when I have need to travel into Ohio, stopping at The Waffle House is a must! Great food (I always get a Waffle and other breakfast items), friendly service, reasonable prices. You can sit at The counter or at a booth / table. Open 24 hours every day.
The best restaurant in the country. Its always either really hot or really cold in there. The waffles taste like actual heaven. You can literally put anything on the hashbrowns. Its like the cold stone creamery of hashbrowns. I like watching the workers arguing but this one everyone was super nice. It will for sure make you poop soon after eating. Its so good.

The steak is a great value, and grits are always ready, no wait. The eggs today were magnificent, US Foods supplies them from what I hear, they were very fresh and good tasting with a thick yolk.
Food was great but the waitress was a bit too attentive she checked on us 15 times over thw course of a 45 minute visit.She meant well but..
It started off by having to wait hour and a half to check in. Rooms werent cleaned yet. Air conditioner barely kept up to cool room it was set on 60 degrees all night. Very small bathroom and sink was in separate room. Only good thing was water pressure in the Hobbit size shower.
My experience was great. Ambra my waitress her service was perfect. Betty whom I was greeted by has great customer service. You cant go wrong with either one of these ladies. The cook was also great.

I’m am not amused with this Waffle House. My waitress, Ginger, showed us absolutely no respect towards us as customers. Lacking common sense, experience, and waiting skills considerably. Her and her fellow waitress/cook continuously neglected our presence and complained about their jobs while standing right next to us. Ginger had made the comment “...when these customers leave, can you make me some food?”. Her associate complied and cooked her a meal! Our waitress then took her plate of food and went to the back to start eating!Not to mention there was no manager to be found and the air conditioner was blowing hard away on a48 degree night.
As a truck driver I was actually going to McDonalds but it was drive through only. Second time at this Waffle house. Faster than McDonalds and much better.

The food is adequate and the prices are low. Waffle house eggs make me wonder if theyre really eggs at times, but its a nice place to grab a quick bite between jobs or if you want to sit don and take some time off of driving.

Mosltly carbs as indicated by the title. The food was a 4 but they have some procedural issues with cleanliness. Same person handled food and money at the register. Our waitress had a terrible cough and frequently coughed into her hand. I said something to the manager and she asked me which one..... it was the only one coughing like she had tuberculosis.

Its consistent. Ive always left full and not disappointed. They are usually cleaning when Im there. I usually visit between 00:00 and 06:00 so thats understandable. Staff is friendly. Nothing else remarkable.
The steak and the pork chops are good , the menu set up is weird , extra 50cents for salad dressing when the first pack isnt nearly enough to even lightly coat the big salad. Extra 50cent for onio s on homefrys but ya only get like 8 tiny chips of onion for 50 cents . So its that kinda place , the place where the employees stand around and bad mouth the place the whole time your eating and just wont shut up so you can eat.
What is up with the Ashtabula resturants off I90?.. At 10p this place was filthy..table was greasey food on the floors and the waitress clearly had a lack of people skills. My waffle had black bits from an unclean waffle iron only thing that I cant complain over was my fresh pot of coffee..save yourself the slime and go to the one at the Chardon exit..clean and friendly. I travel this way a lot and wont return. DISGUSTING!!!!!!
Stopped to eat at Waffle House for the first time in yrs a few weeks ago our waitress Dee was ok the food was ok.not bad not great I rated two stars cuz the attitude n gossip between coworkers really bothered me. We came there to eat not to hear your work drama.. its unprofessional, childish n doesnt make for a friendly environment
We were greeted when we walked in and informed we could sit anywhere. Staff was very kind and polite. Service was awesome!!
Traveling thru to New York. Although the food was good, our waitress was very unfriendly and kirt with us until a couple with a baby came in and after this waitress approached them with her unfriendly and sarcastic way they walked out. After that she changed her tune and began treating us as a waitress should treat her guests...... too late!!!!!! Her name started with a K but I was so upset I can’t remember her name. She was nasty!
Tried to call in a to go order, greeted with hello instead of thank you for calling waffle house, asked to place a to go order and hung up on. Same thing twice in a row. 3rd time I called got no response. No reason to be so rude guys all you have to do is say I dont want your business and I hate my job, I get it.

Verify friendly service and good food. According to Wikipedia, this is the northernmost Waffle House in the US. They need a plaque, if this is true, and WH has no plans for more to the east and north. Many times, I make a point to stop here on my way through.
Talk about places that time either forgot or just crapped on. Bottom of the food chain, but best in the area. Waffle Houses are not known for their culinary or cultural delight.
Couldve been more authentic and they kept forgetting toppings I had ordered and didnt specify which waffle had pecans. Not bad food tho.

The food is ok. The staff is very nice. It is like eating at a neighbors kitchen most of the people there are regulars. You are made to feel very much at home. Even if that is the first time that you are there.

Hated the night time experience at Austin burg waffle house! Went with some friends last night around 3 a.m. and the staff was very rude. One of the waitresses Nancy was literally standing behind the counter making faces and rude comments while my friend was changing the song on the juke box and talking to me. Ill never go again throughout the night!

Its Waffle House! What can be said. A small consistent menu with eggs and awesome hash browns and friendly service whenever i need at 3 in the morning or whenever i am craving.

Sticky table. Good food. Priced for travelers not locals. Whistlestop type of narrow diner. Worth a visit, perhaps not worth a regular time.
Great go to spot for a home cooked breakfast. Waitress was great, service was Excellent and food was finger licking good.
1- I ask to substitute the meat to Hash brown, and what I hear back from manager that we cant do that .....when do this substitute all the time with other locations.2- manager standed 2 steps away could have come over and explain rather speaking out loud to the waiter.

2022-05-27No frills, no gimmicks, just quick, easy, affordable food. My meal was exactly what I was craving at a reasonable price with reasonable wait times. The only thing stopping me from giving this a positive rating was that the cleanliness really needs to be improved upon. There was plenty of staff and a manageable amount of customers, someone really should have taken the time to clean off unoccupied tables and tidy up. Napkins and assorted junk was left lying around from customers who had been gone before we got there. The cooking and customer service are on par but housekeeping needs to be improved.

2022-02-14I had a perfect waffle with pecans and peanut butter chips. The net result was so sweet, I didnt need syrup. The sausage gravy and biscuit rounded out my meal. Service was prompt and kind. Coffee was hot. Ill gladly eat there again.

2022-05-31This waffle House is right off the exit perfect for us because we were traveling. We went at 1:00 a.m. on the way to where we were going and then to 5:00 p.m. for dinner when we were coming back the next day. Staff there on both shifts was friendly courteous and quick delicious food. Love waffle House, love this location

2022-04-27One of my personal favorites. Never a bad meal at the Waffle House. When my wife and I travel it’s our standing meal to eat there. So I can honestly say that no matter where you are, the meal is always good the service is always friendly and the meal is always consistent and that to me is what’s most important of all.

2022-04-10If I could leave a no star I sure would!!! I applied here about 2 weeks ago I received a text message to set up an interview. Now I’m already a manager in a pizza shop mind you. I wanted to go out and take my mom to eat so we stopped here and to see how it operates basically. Well we walk in and not one person said welcome into Waffle House. Nobody said one single word to us while we waited at the door for 5 min hoping someone would say hey there’s going to be a wait. Nope two booths taken by some younger teenagers and then they had the front sets taken and 3 blocked off !! The whole other side of the dinning area was blocked off with all the employees belongings. A younger gentleman walked in behind us looked a little rough but seemed to be a workers boyfriend maybe he walks across the line and sits with all the workers belongings. I than proceed to tell my mom let’s just go somewhere else. THEY HAVE HORRIBLE STAFF!! If there was a manager there that night what a shame. Never leave your customers unattended!!! If you have a wait just say it !!

2022-06-19I dont think Ive ever experienced service this bad. All free tables had dirty dishes and we sat there for 20 minutes without anyone even greeting us, let alone getting a table cleared for us to sit at. The two cooks were working hard but the 2 servers were literally just standing there talking about how they refuse to clean tables and legitimately ignoring the growing line of customers. I have tons of patience for understaffed places that have slow service but this was another level entirely.

2022-05-02Poor customer service, all the tables were filled with customers or dirty dishes, had to wait at least 10 minutes for a table to be cleaned, waited another 10 minutes for someone to take my order, waited another 5 minutes for my order to be passed on to the cook, one waitress said to another that the silverware was dirty but gave it to a customer to use.I wanted to dine in but decided to order 3 waffles to go.When I mentioned how poor the service was, the waitress just stared at me. Some people should not work in this field if they dont have good people skills.Ive been to numerous locations but this was the worse. I will never go back to this location.
