We drove approximately 90 minutes one way to the dealership. Our salesman Rick and the rest of the staff did an excellent job. We did the negotiating over the phone and when we arrived the car was ready and exactly what was promised. Without any reservations, I would recommend Volvo and this dealership. Ask for Rick, he will take great care of you. Also would like to give a shout-out to Miranda the tech guru! Thanks again to you all for a great buying experience.
I highly recommend Rick at Volvo. He made the process of buying a car quick and easy! He was there to answer all questions at any time of day. Looked at a Volvo one day, and came back the next day to buy! They were very friendly and knew all the ins and outs of the vehicles. Left with my dream car!

We had a really good experience with this dealership. They were responsive to our communication request through Cargurus. The sales associate, Rick, was very helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. We were purchasing from out of state and he did a nice job relaying all vehicle positives and possible negatives before making the drive. Payment and pick up was smooth. We really enjoyed the vehicle feature walk through that we received. Overall a really great buying experience. No surprises.
Talk to Rick Scherer!!! Whether you’re in the market for a Volvo, Porsche, Maserati, etc., you need to head to Volvo Cincinnati East in Mariemont and see Rick. I went in looking for a specific car and Rick had it. There was no haggling, he was very professional and never pressured me. Rick knew exactly where I needed to be on my purchase price and he made it happen. I made my purchase within 24 hours because of Rick (and the car of course), but I can say I will be buying my next car from Rick and many more after that. I consider Rick a friend and would recommend him to everyone I know!
This is my second Volvo. Rick and the delivery team were nothing short of outstanding. The sale process was flawless and the delivery review superb. Given I haven’t purchased a vehicle in some time, there was a lot to learn about the XC60. Rick, and the team, made sure I was totally comfortable before we drove away. The only bad part, my wife wants one now.
From the day of purchase to picking up our XC 60, the entire process was enjoyable and fun! Our salesman, Rick, was attentive and knowledgable, and patient with all of our questions as we entered the world of electric/hybrid cars. We didnt feel any pressure, we werent rushed, and he responded promptly when we needed anything. We highly recommend Rick and Volvo experience!
Absolutely the best car buying experience I’ve had. Rick was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He answered all of my questions by text before we even got there. Once we arrived, we were back out the door with the car in 45 min. The car is exactly what I wanted.
BEWARE! Don’t waste your time like me. Go to any another dealer. Long story short…. Don’t trust Rick or the sales team when they quote a price and you put money down on a car that’s arriving in the future.We put money down on a XC90 and believed we had secured a deal and agreed to finances. Rick quoted in writing $1045 per month all taxes and fees included.Waited 3 months for the car to arrive (we picked a prebuilt from their ship lost - nothing custom). Once the car arrived THEY RAISED THE PRICE 30% FROM THE ORIGINAL DEAL!!!!To makes matters even worse…. I was still interested in buying the car since my wife liked it, but the sales manager released the car while I was traveling and unable to come in.Looking for a limited build Porsche GT4 or other hard to find high end sports car? Don’t shop here cause you’ll never get one. These cars are released to dealers based on volume of sales and this is not a high volume dealer.Do yourself a favor and buy a car anywhere else.
I just brought home my new XC60 (my 2nd XC60) and I love it. This process was literally the easiest I have ever had in getting a new car. Rick was simply amazing. He answered all of our question, even responded to my text messages early and late in the day, and made us feel like we were his only customer (perfect sales / customer service delivery). My husband and I really appreciated all Rick did for us - and we have our 2nd awesome Volvo. Rick and Volvo of Cincinnati have our loyalty.
I dont know why this place has so many 5 star reviews.Speaking specifically of the service department, this dealership is subpar at best. I took my Volvo to get an assessment of if a roof glass defect was covered under warranty. Immediately upon pulling in, I was told no, that it was a rock, etc. The guy got up ony car and chipped off some glass, worsening the crack feathering. I waited for a while, then they told me that they made a determination it was a rock but could offer no rational or documentation.While waiting, I overheard the service desk people giving the runaround to other customers over the phone. I suspect that this service department is incentivized to say no/not be helpful.As this is the only Volvo service center within many miles, I strongly suggest not getting a Volvo and choosing a different brand of car. The cars are great but service options are very bad.
Rick was amazing! I texted him about a car and he got me in right away and was so flexible with me. He held the car for me while I figured things out and was just overall so so friendly!!! The process was tooooo easy!!! Thanks again!! I will definitely be back in the future!
I reserved my review until I had experienced the service on more than one occasion. I have a Volvo XC40 recharge that had three complete power train failures. It was brought to Volvo east on each occasion.My experience with the service team is that they are very nice and pleasant. However, they are either understaffed or over worked.Multiple calls to update me on the car were unanswered.Messages left to answer specific issues were unanswered.My car was towed three time to Volvo East. They never called and acknowledged the car was on the lot. A promised phone call at 9 AM never occurred and a call to them at 1PM was acknowledged with an apology of ,we are busy.I have never been able to reach the service desk on the first call.Considering this is a brand new car that has been in for service four times and three power failures, one would assume they would be more than helpful.I can only say that service at Volvo East is a continuing level of frustration due to lack of response, no loaners, prolonged waiting when the car is not ready, and a failure to fix issues.
We had an excellent buying experience at Volvo Cars Cincinnati. Our sales person Dave was knowledgable and forthright throughout the process - which was much appreciated. We made sure to buy our new Volvo here in large part because of the reliable and honest service we receive for our other car there and we were not disappointed.
Went to Volvo Cincinnati to look at a new XC90. Was greeted by Rick who helped us through the whole process from browsing the available selection to driving our new car off the lot. Rick was friendly, professional, and efficient, making this one of the most positive car buying experiences that we have ever had. This was my first time purchasing a Volvo. I ended up getting the XC60 and it is a beautiful SUV, I was stunned by it. I have owned other luxury brands in the past and they do not compare to this. I worked with Rick Scherer and he was absolutely the very best! I can’t say enough good things about him. I have never had an experience like this at a car dealer- everything was smooth, easy and everyone was not only helpful, but also very nice. I never once felt pressured, but I felt supported in my car buying journey. I had my car serviced yesterday and was treated with amazing customer service immediately!!! Throughout the time I was waiting, I kept receiving updates and was given 100% honesty since I stepped in. The amazing person I had the pleasure of working with was Ron. He exceeded my expectations and this man deserves to be absolutely treasured at this company. There were some complications along the way with my car but they absolutely came through and got my car fixed. Quick and friendly service from Rick Scherer, Kenny, James and the entire team at Volvo Cars East. Via a quick phone call with Rick I explained my needs and we worked out a plan for me to pick up a 2022 Volvo XC40. Rick was quick to reply to questions, facilitated a super-easy pickup, and even followed up right after. This is my third Volvo but my first time at this dealership. I’ll definitely be back and look forward to working with the entire team.
Wow. I don’t typically write reviews but I was so impressed with my experience with Rick Scherer and Devon White I was inspired to share here. Rick was incredibly responsive and worked to really educate me about the different trims remotely since I’m located in Dayton, while I met Devon in person for a test drive and he too was incredibly knowledgeable. Both took a no pressure approach, which I particularly appreciated. I asked them to come to the table with their best offer because I wasn’t Interested in haggling, and I really feel like they listened. I just purchased my first Volvo and it was seamless and quick. I could have stayed and chatted with Devon for hours! I highly recommend both Rick and Devon if you are in the market for a new Volvo. I was impressed with the entire dealership, the staff, and managers - they have the largest selection of Volvo’s in the area snd the ease of doing business is unmatched in my experience.

I worked with Devon on buying a certified used xc60. I have nothing but positive things to say about how attentive he was throughout the sales process. He was patient with us and flexible. He spoke to us with respect. I never felt pressured or rushed to make a purchase. When we did finally decide on a car he went above and beyond on delivery and made use feel really special. The car was impeccably detailed and we are very happy with it.
The experience of my first ever visit to Volvo service center wasnt what I had expected.#1, I requested a loaner car in advance but when I was there, the staff there could not get me one. Althought I have a full coverage through Geico, the staff mentioned that I cant get a loaner if I have a Geico insurance. I was really shocked to learn this because all my previous cars like Audi, BMW, Benz, etc. I had no issues with Geico getting a loaner. This was very disappointing. I am worried that if I ever have an issue with my brand new 2021 volvo xc90 and I cant get a loaner due to my insurance, I dont know what I need to do.#2, when the service was completed, the staff at the desk called my name and handled over my key. I went outside to see my car and noticed that your service center didnt provide a car wash. I mean, this too, I personally never experienced from other car brands/service centers so this was very disappointing. I went back inside and ask the staff about it and he indicated if I want a car wash, I need to wait 30mins to an hour. Why didnt he put it through when I first got there so that it will be washed right after the service was done.#3, I bought this brand new volvo xc90 giving that you had a volvo location in West Cheaster Ohio which is close to my current location. Since this place recently closed down, I had no choice but to drive almost an hour to get to your service center in Cincinnati. This is very inconvenient.
Excellent custom service. Rick Scherer was able to work out pretty much everything through text messages, which is pretty much all my schedule allows. All I had to do was show up and sign to pick up my new XC40 recharge. The whole team was great that morning and made the process quick and painless. They were even kind enough to mail me my garage door opener that I forgot in my trade-in.

I am the proud owner of a new XC90 and absolutely loving it. My sales specialist, Devon White, made the entire car buying experience wonderful. When I bought my car a few months ago they offered a free car wash a week, a friend who just picked up a new XC40 told me they discontinued that offer when they consolidated into the current store.I highly recommend working with Rick Scherer if you’re looking to get what you want at your price point without much fuss at all.

Recently I purchased a car from Volvo Cincinnati. My experience went like this…..My son went with me to shop. We visited 4 dealerships in a single morning, comparing cars and deals each offered me. Volvo Cincinnati had been our first stop and at the end of our search we went back there to make my purchase. Kenny spent a great deal of time helping me find the car I would buy. He and my son discussed the specifics of each car in order to make the selection, before Kenny went through their data base looking for the car I’d chosen. He found the car in Columbus and made the arrangements to bring it here. When the car became available a gentleman spent time introducing me to all its bells and whistles. Also promising I could stop by anytime I needed help for a refresher course. People of a “mature age” certainly appreciate that offer. I also appreciate the conveniences offered me when my car needs to go in for service.When all was said and done and I was on my way home in my new Volvo, I knew I had gotten the right car from the best dealership.

We were interested in purchasing an XC40 recharge and contacted Volvo Cincinnati East. I was promptly contacted by email. I responded that I was interested in purchasing the XC40 recharge. I was then promptly contacted by Shawn Cochran. When we arrived Shawn was ready for us. He had the car covered for me to reveal. He took pictures of me with my new Volvo. The concierge went over the whole car with us. He didn’t leave out anything. The entire experience was amazing! Everyone was really nice and accommodating! I must admit I do not enjoy the car buying process. However, Devon White at Volvo Cars Cincinnati East made the process extremely easy. His depth and breath of knowledge regarding all things Volvo was quite impressive and instilled faith in me that we were buying a fantastic car. Devon is a poised and polished young professional who was prepared at every stage of the car buying process. He’s also a snappy dresser which I find even more impressive in this day of sloppy casual. It’s just another detail that instilled faith in me he was a trustworthy individual.

Ive had several Volvos from other dealers in the past, but never an experience like my most recent with Volvo Cincinnati East. Excited about my first Volvo! Worked with Devon, who was wonderful from our first test drive to picking the car up. He is very knowledgeable, and explained everything about the car in detail and easy-to-understand language. He patiently went over all the features thoroughly, and helped us get everything set just how we wanted it. He even helped pair my phone to the car, download the Volvo app on my phone, and showed me how to use it. Highly recommend!
Our 5 year old hybrid SUV was towed in two days ago. Volvo has NEVER contacted us. We have called numerous times and ALWAYS had to leave a message to get them to call us back. Finally learned they need a part that will take a week to install and is under warranty. We asked about a loaner car. They said they’d call us back about that yesterday. NO CALL. We called again this morning and left a message for the service manager. That was 2 hours ago and still no call back. SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!
We started off looking at these cars at another dealership and I am glad that we ended up making the drive down to Volvo Cincinnati East, Devon was a delight to work with, he took his time and he was always available. He knew the car inside and out and after we made our purchase, he sat in the car and went through every feature in detail. He helped getting all the options set up and explained how every button an option worked. It is refreshing to work with a sales rep that knows his product. I would recommend Devon to anyone, call ahead and ask for Him you will not regret it.
Great lease experience at Volvo Cincinnati East. Shawn Cochran exceeded all expectations throughout the whole process from initial test drive to closing the deal. Great upfront communication on current deals and throughout the negotiation process. When I didnt find the exact vehicle in stock, Shawn found one from another dealer and was still able to offer all deals offered for in-stock vehicles. Highly recommend!

I was so excited to own my second Volvo. Unfortunately My deal was changed after the purchase of my vehicle. This was done in such a way that there was nothing I could do. When I asked to speak to the owner somebody got on the phone identifying himself as the owner and I later suspected that this was a manager disguising himself as the owner. Shocking.They originally agreed to pay back half of the amount that I was overcharged and then once again change that and withdrew the offer.
On a recent trip to Cincinnati we had a random check engine light pop on in our 2019 xc90. Kind of alarming! Im glad it didnt happen on the way home to Memphis. A quick call to Volvo of Cincinnati East and we were taken care of right away. Ron and his team in service pulled out all the stops for us, and even made sure we had a place to go to have a bite to eat and some coffee while we waited for the diagnostic. Thankfully it turned out to be something simple and no big deal, and the treatment we got was exemplary. Bravo bravo bravo to you all. Well done Ron and the team Volvo of Cincinnati East!!
I showed up for my appointment in West Chester. No one had even bothered to tell me when I made the appointment for my recall that the West Chester location was closed and I would now need to drive to this location which is MUCH farther from me. When I finally got there I asked if I could be done by 3pm because I had an important appointment that was back in West Chester. I was told I would definitely be done by 3…well at 3:15 my car was still not done. By the time I finally got my car I’d missed a very important doctors appointment that took me months to schedule. Now I remember why my last car was a Lexus, they actually care about service.
I enjoyed my experience at Volvo at first. The staff was friendly. Unfortunately , that changed once we sold our car to them. It has been almost a month since we’ve sold it, and have yet to be paid for selling it to them. They told us we would get it within a week. After waiting a couple of weeks we asked what the holdup was, and they told us they were too busy, and had not even began the process. I am disappointed and feel like I have been out on the back burner, when we were promised to be taken care of immediately.
Have taken my Volvo many times to be serviced here. The staff have always been friendly. The waiting area is pleasant, can easily change TV channel or go to a quieter area if you need to focus on work while waiting for any maintenance service to conclude. Definitely a luxury service for luxury vehicles.
Heartbreaking to give a two-star review here.My original sales experience was exceptional. I am now at just over 30,000 miles and still under factory warranty. I called for a service appointment and scheduled over the phone. Upon arrival I was then told that because my insurance was Progressive that they could not put me in a loaner car. The service representative explained that the dealership is at odds with Progressive over their coverage. I love my Volvo. The service experience has always been inferior to what I was accustomed to with Lexus, that said, it was okay. To arrive today and find out that I would not have a loaner was a major disappointment. There was no mention of any restriction based on insurance company while setting my appointment. While standing in the Volvo East service department, they listened to me call Dayton Volvo who promptly scheduled me and assured me there would be no issues. Im guessing thats one reason why the Dayton Volvo has a higher rating to begin with. Very unfortunate that I will have to drive that far out of my way. A two-star rating is definitely deserved, service after the purchase is what keeps people coming back. This may be my last Volvo, crazy to think that a dealership would risk that level of client dissatisfaction over whatever issue they have had with Progressive. Management and ownership are clearly confused when they decide to punish their own clients because they are also clients of Progressive. By the way, you should be aware that there was at least one other mainstream insurance company that they would not accept.
I just got back to Minnesota from picking up my new 2017 XC60 for my wife. I was unable to find what I was looking for locally, but we found it in Cincinnati. I worked with Devon White and he was great. We took care of everything over the phone and FaceTime and he walked us through the car inside and out. He was happy to answer all questions throughout the process. While I was nervous at first about buying a car from afar, Devon made the process so easy, I will definitely consider them again in the future!
From the moment I initially inquired about a vehicle, through the sales process (Kenny is awesome!) To finance and the delivery presentation, I couldnt have been more pleased. At delivery, they took time to show me everything about the vehicle controls, settings etc...nearly 30 mins to make sure I was 100% comfortable before I left. Last dealer handed me the keys and didnt walk me out. Now this is SERVICE!!!!
Devon White did a fantastic job from every aspect He worked hard to find me a specific Xc60. He was able to do some magic to make a few changes to the equipment to satisfy our needs. His product knowledge and personality are stellar! In my many years of acquiring premium cars I never dealt with anyone as good as Devon.
We took it in for a check engine light and they kept it for 2 weeks and when we got it back it came back on the next day. We had to take the car back 3 times to get it off. After the experience, they never returned calls. We were told we couldnt get a loaner because we had GEICO insurance. They are an arrogant, disingenuous bunch in the service department.

Working with Kenneth Cunningham was a delight. When we initially stopped at the dealership, we were interested in another vehicle on the lot. His insight and ease to work with ultimately brought us back as we really wanted to give him our business. He was knowledgeable about all of the vehicles that we were interested in and had true insight into reliability, drive and the options available. The presentation of our XC40 when we arrived at the dealership to pick it up truly was amazing and Kenny took the time to ensure that he went through all of the tech inside and out so we could utilize all of the options in our new Volvo. Billy in the financing dept was also very knowledgeable about the products and had beneficial advice that helped us realize our financing and leasing options. Joey was very helpful and allowed us to take our car earlier than we expected which was great news to hear. We received calls from both Volvo and Joey following the purchasing process to make sure that everything went well and that we were happy in our decision. We have really enjoyed our buying experience at this dealership and are very pleased with the brand and our new XC40!
Shawn was fantastic to work with. I really wanted to communicate via text and he was on top of it from the beginning. He was very responsive and communicated clearly with me on my preferences for a new xc90. He had everything ready when I arrived and I was out the door quickly with my new car. Shawn also knew quite a bit about the technology onboard in the xc90 and show me features I didn’t know existed even though I have had 2 prior xc90s. Overall a great experience. Side note... service department is great as well if you need maintenance done.

I CALLED 1 WEEK AGO TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE MY CAR DIAGNOSED, THE LADY ANSWERED THE PHONE, AND SAID IT TAKES 2 HOURS TO DIAGNOSE IT, AND THE CHARGES WOULD BE 170+TAX. SO WE DROVE FOR 43 MILES 1 WAY TO DROP THE CAR OFF, WHEN WE GOT THERE, THE STORY CHANGED AND THEY SAID 175 INITIAL COMPUTER DIAGNOSE AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES WILL APPLY IF THEY HAVE TO REMOVE ANYTHING OR LOOK FURTHER INTO WIRES, THE PROBLEM WITH MY CAR WAS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WOULD NOT GO DOWN. TO PLUG A COMPUTER TO A CAR AND GET IT DIAGNOSED TAKES UP TO 10-15 MAX, SO WHEN SHE SAID 2 HOURS, YOU WOULD THINK THAT WOULD MEAN THEY ARE DOING MORE THAN A SIMPLE DIAGNOSTIC ON THE CAR, AS THAT ONLY TAKES 10-15 MINS. BECAUSE THE FACTORY ISNT PRODUCING ENOUGH CARS TO SELL AND MAKE MONEY, THE DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO MAKE UP THAT MONEY BY UPPING THE CHARGE ON MAINTENANCE.
My experience was not a pure joy. The folks at Volvo Cars East were very good, knowledgeable and helpful. The experience was not all positive, but only because Im just not all onboard about my Volvo. A huge shout out to Sales Consultant Aziz Aripov and to Volvo of the Villages. I recently had the easiest, most pleasant car buying experience in my 64 years of buying cars.All of my calls were answered promptly, and my questions answered satisfactorily. Aziz was patient in dealing with myself and my wife and we were both very pleased with him. The paper work was ready when we arrived to close and the whole process took only a few minutes.The car (used) was delivered in perfect condition and Aziz even had two bottles of cold water in the cup holders!We are very pleased and will certainly return for service and for our next car buying experience.Thanks Aziz!
Went there yesterday to order me an xc40, the sales rep was very aggressive and was not willing to work with me. Told me I was bogus for what I wanted. Lost respect for him and this dealership. The rep bragged about his award and how many years hes been selling cars, well he didnt sell to me Went and bought my car at Volvo in West Chester. Better service.
I have had work done on our XC90, routine maintenance and upgrade maintenance; both experiences I had Ryan L, I found him to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them to friends and family. The work performed was executed with precision and punctuality.
Excellent experience. Great leadership from the General Manager who made sure to connect us with the right people on the right timing and in an efficient manner. All people were knowledgeable, professional, and customer focused. We left feeling good about our purchase and the process!
This is the second time we have been ignored by customer service when shopping for a new car - once at the Mariemont location and once at the West Chester one. In both instances, there were salespeople available and we were not even acknowledged. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere - including the service of our current Volvo.
Their sale representative is helpless. They seem don’t care what you need and what you are looking for. They’re just interested in playing their computer and don’t even want to make deal with customer. Even though I said I would like to get another Volvo for my family. Weird dealer!
We went in to look at a vehicle. Upon arriving, we waited in the lobby about 10 minutes before being helped and then found out that the cars that we were looking out were sold a week ago even though the website hadn’t been updated. The salesman wasn’t particularly friendly or helpful and seemed annoyed that we asked. I probably wouldn’t return to this dealership.

2022-05-25My wife brought her V60 in recently for an oil change. While she was there they talked her into an alignment and said her rear brake pads needed to be replaced. I cant comment on the legitimacy of these services as I wasnt there but the state in which the car was returned was horrendous and this was after they kept it an additional 30mins for a car wash. Greasy hand prints all over the vehicle in addition to a mark on the passenger door it looks like they tried to rub off. The good news is the owner/manger gave my wife a bottle of wine on the way out to drink and forget she was ever there. *Edit* The dealer did call my wife after this review and offer a free detail for her vehicle. I dont know if well take them up on it as its been detailed in the meantime. Increasing rating from 1 to 3 stars as this still should never have happened.

2022-01-01I cannot recommend Ron at Volvo highly enough. He was professional, attentive and friendly. He went the extra mile to help me figure what service I really needed for my vehicle. I recently moved from Seattle to Dayton and didnt have access to my service history or maintenance agreement. He spent extra time looking into for me. Initially I felt a little inconvenienced having to drive from Dayton to Cincinnati for service since the Dayton dealership closed. My experience with Ron changed all that. I am happy to make the drive for such great service!

2021-12-16I have leased from Volvo for 3 years. As I neared the end of my recent lease, I was looking at multiple options for the next car. We decided on getting the biggest SUV and Rick made the process simple and seamless. We were able to text with him to provide most of the information needed, test drive one day, and pick up the next. Trading in the old lease for this one took all of 1 hour. I got exactly what I wanted and within a day of asking - incredible given the current environment. Rick was fantastic to work work!

2021-12-08Rick went above and beyond to make my experience great. When we arranged a time to sign the paperwork for my new Volvo, I mentioned I had an appointment to sell my current car and needed to meet later. Rick arranged for Volvo of Cincinnati to purchase my car, which saved me time, and made the process less stressful.This is my first Volvo. I love the car and I will definitely be back. He took the time to answer all of our questions and send us additional information on anything we requested, and took a lot of the stress out of the modern used car buying experience! 2022-01-02Ive recently started going here to service my Volvo and everyone Ive encountered has been nothing but 100% helpful in the way theyve treated me personally and the quality of repairs/ maintenance as well. Service advisor Ron has been helping me from day 1 and I cant say enough good things about him; hes been patient with a few of my car frustrations (not caused by this dealership but a prior one), hes always made the time in/ time out as seamless as possible and truly cares about the well being of the clientele. Thats very rare to find in any industry, let alone the automotive industry and want to highlight his hard work.
