This thrift store has great prices and always has daily deals, which i love! it’s also a huge store and organized very nicely. the reason for three stars is because sometimes the staff is unfriendly and a bit rude. i often feel i’m in their way, but otherwise, i love shopping here!
I ago to this store because everything is pretty organized and I usually find what I need. However yesterday a black duffle bag with some things I just purchased for my boys was accidentally left out of the car and now its missing. So my boys are really hurt and I hurt for them.
Large selection and very clean. Good prices and sales everyday. Only wish they sorted by size. They do sort clothes by type (shirt, blouse, slacks, jeans, etc men, women and kids) they also sort by color which is helpful if you are looking for a certain color pallet and its very appealing to the eye. Can find lots of different things here. Furniture, books, clothes, shoes, kitchen supplies, handbags (I actually found a coach bag here in good shape for under 20$ and Ralph Lauren shorts with the tag still on for husband for 6$). Staff is also friendly.
Love this store! Definitely a thrifters dream. The prices and quality are the best anywhere in North East Ohio. The only advice I have is that VOA should perhaps invest in some sort of sizing tags - would love to see my size quickly without shorting through all the 00s. Goodwill sorts by color and size and I would love to see the same here. Overall, great place to thrift.
I would say a lot of the inventory is geared toward the blue collar crowd - lots of work gear, warm sweaters etc - heavier stuff that I would see a construction worker wearing which I didn’t mind as I was running in to grab a few warmer sweaters.Agree with another poster that clothing should be organized by sizing, not color.Staff were quite friendly and checkout service was quick. Store seemed quite clean and tidy.Brand name shoes/boots were WAY overpriced. The aisles are a bit crowded and most of the change rooms had a ton of hangers in them.
So, I do like this store but, I have seen employees removing most of the color tags that are on sale. For example if the pink tag is 75% it is hard to find that color. Pay attention shoppers. And you will see what I mean.. so in reality theres is no sale.I asked one of the employees why but the explanation did not make any sense to me.
I am only giving it 4 stars this was a first time visit and it was brief. The store is large and my impression is that it is clean and well organised. The prices are easy to find and seem reasonable. I walked down an aisle that had linens and I saw tags on some larger items that said they had been sanitized. That impressed me. It definitely should be added to your list of places to check out or make a donation.
Absolutely the best prices!Be prepared to spend some time there. There is no order in the way the clothes are arranged. Dress pants are mixed in with jeans, womens pants were mixed in with the mens clothes here and there and the sizes are all over the place. I had to look through a 20 rack of pants to find 2 pair that were in my size. But if you have the time, you cant beat the prices.
I’m really upset I spent so much time sorting through the clothes I get up the the register, first that lady is always so rude second I couldn’t buy half of my stuff because they said the tag had been messed with! Are you kidding! I tried most of the clothes on I didn’t carefully watch the tag. It’s so very irritating! At least 7 items she would not let me purchase. It’s a lot of time and effort for that to happen. And it makes you feel like a criminal.(at a thrift store) I’m just super disappointed. Need a new way to price items because this is just not working.
Drove over an hour to check it out with wife n kids. They say not for profit but better clothes section is filled with high dollar used clothes like 55 for used jeans. Really? Wife found a pair of slacks she liked price must have fallen off. Stated they were 7.99 high for used clothes they refused to sell stating come back tomorrow after spending $75 on the rest of the clothes. Um no thanks. Service was lack luster and in some cases downright rude. Even store personnel was baffled by some of the pricing.
Great deals! If youre looking for department store standards (ex: size categories, fast checkout, employee help) dont shop at a thrift store!!! If youre looking for a cheap deal... this is the place to find it. Come here with plenty of time on your schedule. Bargain hunters paradise.
Employees and management insinuate that you are changing prices on clothing if a tag falls off when they are checking you out. I had 12 items and the cashier ripped one of them off (accidentally) and then I was treated like a criminal and was notn allowed to purchase the literally $2 shirt among the several others iIwas buying. Il spend my money elsewhere and I recommend you do the same.
Love this place. I recommend it to everyone. I refuse to shop for clothes anywhere else. All of my clothes are from here. Huge store with a variety of everything from womens, mens, kids, purses, shoes, jewelry, home goods...i could go on and on. All very cheap but nice. I walk out with a huge bag for about $20
This place is awesome and the prices are just right! There is a lot of everything from clothes, to shoes, to furniture, to kitchen gadgets, electronics and more! If you are looking for something specific and dont find it on your first visit, check back. It will eventually turn up!
There is so much stuff for sale it is hard to take it all in. There are lots of clothes (kids, womens, mens, uniforms)--so many in fact that I usually resort to just walking up and down the rows only looking at things that catch my eye (or else Id spend hours just on looking at clothes). They also sell accessories (belts, purses, scarves, jewelry), and shoes. sToward the back of the store are household goods, furniture, craft items, kitchenware, baskets, books, and toys.I found a cute Tinkerbelle type outfit for my friends granddaughters to use to play dress up and some ribbon for crafting. My friend found a sweater, a painted 3 drawer storage box for her granddaughters, some glass beads, and a wood wall hanger shes going to make into a hat and key hanger station for her family. We both each spent less than $20 and got lots of stuff!
Been there twice. The first time I was looking around for ANYTHING that was not tattered or missing parts in the home goods department. Left with a bad first impression and nothing in my cart.... Second time (because everyone needs a second chance) some of the SAME junk was there 6 months later and I overheard someone say they gave up looking for clothing because it was too unorganized. The home goods and tech shelves are OVERCROUDED AND AN ABSOLUTE MESS. Found that most items with detachable chords had the chord detached and nowhere in sight. There was an area in the back of the store full of old, dirty and cobwebs were on some of the furnature. I later drove by Goodwill and saw items of the SAME quality of about 75%of the stuff at Volunteers of America in the DUMPSTER. Sorry to say this place is not worth your time. GO TO GOODWILL INSTEAD.
Huge thrift store. Friendly employees. You say you want to help veterans but no discount for military id. No discount for VA Id card. I dont like your phrase homeless veteran. Any veteran who received honorable discharge, and has a job can get a va home loan and buy a house. If they are homeless veteran it usually means they were kicked out and didnt get a honorable discharge.
Too many rulesThey dont have a restroom without getting a key...ughCant shop off racks....stupid rule....i voulv buy off that rack and less for you to put away....you shop for 2 to 3 hours and get to know register and the clothes have no tag on it they refuse to sell you the donated item....let me remind you this is used stuffdonated stuff.....
We grabbed a hoodie today for a dollar we got to the register and was told they couldnt sell it because the tag was ripped I was very confused about it but the worse part was the manager lady was so rude about it so we didnt buy the rest of our items because of her attitude. Disappointed

2022-05-11This place is nice and have good stuff but the prices have me dead. AND there’s this lady that give you a b face and always assume that your stealing which is really stupid and she needs to fix the ways she looks at people cause I felt uncomfortable when she started following me around and giving me faces.

2021-10-16This store used to be my favorite. The people are usually very nice and helpful. The store is clean an organized. But Ive noticed their prices on free stuff donated have gone awry. I was there yesterday and found an old plastic tote (with lid) priced $10.10. It was dirty. There seems to be an variety of $10.10s, 20.20s and 30.30s. Its not uncommon to find a dollar tree brand priced over a dollar. But the graph paper debacle took the cake. It was old and none of the paper was missing but priced higher then new in the store. Going into a thrift store you shouldnt have to be a detective to figure out if you could have bought it cheaper new. It feels conniving.

2022-03-27Their prices on used currently produced cast iron cookware are way more expensive than buying the same make and model brand new at Wal-Mart. What a joke.

2022-01-12If your going to have carts, get a cart corral. One of your carts hit another persons car and came flying at mine. I took it inside. People are lazy and your parking lots too big. Its too windy out.

2022-03-15I like shopping there but when it comes to clothes al sizes are together. You have to go through them all to find your size

2017-12-07Check my photo. Literally no size signs on any rack anywhere. So if youre a customer, youll spend hours trying to find your size while paying double any other used clothing store. Ive never seen anything like this before so I had to take a photo. Absolutely ridiculous. Good luck finding your size! Overpriced and unorganized.
