I held my wedding here in 2018. Although a few things are outdated, like the restrooms, carpet and chairs & no surround sound system, I still decided to go with this venue because of what seemed like very accommodating, kind people. To save you time from a lengthy post, just make sure to have every agreement detailed and outlined because they will agree to certain things, however they will not follow through with everything such as alcohol amounts, staff amount, and table set up on stage. I’ll share one example. The lady Tina agreed to serve roughly (50) 1.75 oz bottles of alcohol, however she only provided (50) 750 ml and proceeded to tell us to purchase more when it ran out with the first few hours. My husband and I reluctantly agreed, spending $4k more. We found out later that night she served the smaller bottles and when we brought this concern to Her she refused to repay us and brought up other problems like too many guests that evening. Outside of my personal bias, they venue is huge, beautiful fountain, and decent food.
It was Elvis impersonator night. He was pretty good, didnt take himself very seriously...the food? Meh. Lasagna was lacking salt, basil, oregano, and garlic. However, when your main audience is over 70, you roll with it. Rolls were very fresh, alcoholic drinks were a little light.
Banquet hall operated like a finely tuned machine. Staff was obviously experienced but they did have problems dealing with changes. Didnt like dessert sitting on table at onset of meal, but it is apparently standard procedure. Food was quite bland but passable. Very uninspired.
Our group of retirees have held our Christmas luncheon here for four years now, and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, and the price is quite reasonable. Tina is the person to speak with regarding bookings, and she is very easy to work with. Highly recommended.
Great venue if you have a huge guest list to accommodate for your ceremony. The place has a gorgeous sculpture water fountain at the entry way. It offers a spacious staged seating for your guests. The rooftop terrace design is beautiful if you are having your event during the day in the spring or summer.
Older banquet venue with a Italian fountain in the foyer. Bar area is spacious. Ballroom is well suited for 500 guests. Excellent catering food and staff. Built in stage and there is a coat room. I saw only 2 handicap spaces, which was odd. Building definitely needs refresh painting and deep cleaning of air vents, replacing ceiling tiles and updating.
The facility itself is beautiful and very comfortable. My and I wife went to a banquet there on January 26 and experienced service that was well below average and food that was simply mediocre, however. I would estimate there were 200-300 people at the banquet. A large plate of salad was on all the tables when we arrived. A public announcement was made to start in on the salads, and that food service was beginning. Once entree service started, the last tables served were served at least a half hour after the first tables were served. We watched entire tables being cleared of entree plates at least 15 minutes prior to the time our table was served its first entree. In addition, when the servers did finally arrive at our table with plates in hand, they yelled out in loud voices CHICKEN? DID ANYONE AT THIS TABLE GET CHICKEN? No. All of us (who were squished into an eight-top that had ten place settings on it) had ordered beef. How bush league. It would have been so easy to have simply color-coded our prominent name tags and the servers would have immediately known what we should have been served. After our initial glasses of water, servers came around to refill water only once throughout the rest of the evening (3 1/2 hours). The large salad plate that was in the middle of the table since everyones arrival (a couple of HOURS earlier) was taken away only after we had all finished our desserts! Oh, and by the way, both my wife and the gentleman next to me ate second servings of salad (probably fifteen minutes apart) only because the wait for the entrees was so long, and everyone was starved at that point! As for the food, the roasted potatoes were fine, the filet was acceptable (but not great) and the vegetables were obviously frozen and inedible for anyone whos used to dining at anything above the McDonalds level. Its hard to believe this place thrives as a banquet center. If banquets are all you do, you should do it well. Villa Milano didnt.
I went to a conference here. The food was excellent. The lasagna was better than my homemade lasagna. There was plenty of parking. There was a shortage of womens restrooms but they handled that nicely by occasionally shutting down the mens room and letting the women use it.
Contracted for my daughters wedding reception. I cannot say enough good things regarding Tina, her staff, the food, the overall value and the quality of our experience. If your are considering booking an event her, rest assured and go ahead and book the event. Every aspect of our experience was first class!!
The place itself is amazing and would rate it 4.5 stars in all honesty. The reason for giving this review a one star is for multiple reasons. To start off we were expecting 400 guest for our event and ended up recieving around 500. The problem with that was the fact that we ran out of tables and the owner got very rudely with us because of it. To fix the problem we accepted to pay more (in which we did pay) understanding our fault of having more people than we agreed on. The next problem is the fact that the owner agreed on having 15 waiters for us because of the size of the event but she only ended up providing 7 waiters and 1 bartender. Another major problem for us is the fact that when making the contract we agreed to having an open bar for beer and refreshments like sodas from 8pm to 1am. Since she was already mad at the fact that we had to pay for more guests she did not end up opening the bar and only brought out two small coolers in front of the bar and put only beer in them. When I went back to talk to the bartender sitting in the kitchen about putting more beer out at least he told us that we only had 90 coronas and 40 models for the night. Overall we had about 250 beers all together which last for about an hour. Even the we agreed on the open bar for five hours and we were never told we had a limit of beer that we would have. Which in every other banquet hall we have rented open bar ment open bar with no limit because thats what your paying for. To fix this issue we asked if we could go and buy more beer and refreshments with our own money. Which we ended up doing. Also we asked the bartender to please refill and provide water for our guest to keep everyone hydrated he very rudely told us that we had whatever was out. We also agreed on ending the party at 2 (in which we ended 15 minutes early) we could come back Monday morning at 9 to pick up our Decorations and when it came down to it the remaining staff told us we had to pick up everything that same night. Ok no problem we stuck around picked everything up and even were nicely enough to help pick up all the trash and still they were very rude and making bad comments. So overall we got ripped off and cant really do much about it because she never printed an official contract for us to pick for our records.
The Vocal Jam has been performing an oldies dance and show for 21 years in central Ohio. We have performed in all of the major venues in Columbus Ohio. I can honestly say Villa Milano is the best of the best. The management and staff is always helpful when setting up the room. The seating is perfect for watching our show and the dance floor is large. Our performers have been happier at Villa Milano than any other venue. A big thank you to the management and staff.
A group of Pokemon go players were threatened by two men in a blue pickup truck claiming to be the owners. No where were there any no trespassing sings posted, there were no events being hosted and the group of Pokemon players were causing no harm, but the self claimed owner of this establishment drove around threatening and trying to intimidate people to get out of his parking lot. If this was the actual owner, his actions were highly unprofessional and reflect poorly on his business. I would highly recommend not doing business with the Villa Milano or the owner because of how he treats other people.

2022-03-28We have been fortunate enough to host several events at Villa Milano across the years, the most recent being two days ago, and there are simply not enough words to express how fabulous the entire team at Villa Milano is. From the extensive planning process to the weeks and days leading up to the event, Tina and Joe could not have been more amazing to work with. The event went flawlessly, the food was incredible (we are still receiving compliments on how much our guests enjoyed the food) and the wait staff was top-notch. We also received many compliments from our guests regarding how quickly their staff was able to get ~640 guests through the buffet lines for dinner, in just under 20 minutes! Their facility is gorgeously renovated with new carpet and paint, truly setting the stage for any elegant event you may be hosting. Conveniently located with abundant on-site free parking, making the venue easily accessible for all guests. My family and I will never host an event at any other venue. If you are looking for an elegant, full-service venue that your guests will be talking about long after your event, I could not recommend Villa Milano any more.
