Thank you so much to the manager Nate in the Amherst store. He was so professional both on the phone and in person. I was so disappointed with my service at the west lake - Crocker Verizon. I was the only one in the store in Westlake and asked them 3 times if they would sync and set up my new phone. I was told it would take to long and given direction. The. next day I called the Amherst store. Nate welcomed me to the Amherst store. He took his time and put on the screen protector and erased the data in my old phone. I appreciate him taking this time and his professionalism in providing the customer service that proudly represents Verizon Company. I recommend the Amherst Verizon. Thank you again!
Best Verizon experience ever! Manager was awesome! Very quick in and out service, no long waits like Westlake or other retail stores. He wasn’t pushy but made sure all of our needs were met and we were 100% satisfied before we left. We had fun too. Whenever you can have fun in a professional environment and get things done quickly I’m all for it! Thank you Robert for all of your help. We will make this our Verizon choice location always!
Went in the store to look at phones. Met with Johnny B. and Robert T. Both guys were great to deal with, very knowledgeable about the products and deals going on. They reviewed my plan and seen where I could be saving money so they told me about it and took care of it so I wasnt paying for something that wasnt worth it any longer. Johnny was pretty passionate about taking care of us, kept reviewing everything he was doing and making sure we were happy. There was a bit of confusion on one particular plan, but Robert (store manager) stepped up and immediately took care of and rectified the situation. Very happy with them overall and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to shop here. Great job guys!
My wife and I havent bought new phones for many years so long ago that we needed a lot of help with how to use the phones. After we purchased them we still had issues trying to use them. Your representative Jasmine was so professional and helpful and personable that we can not say enough about our experience at the Amherst location. We have since recommended her to our friends. This isnt our first purchase from this location and I know it wont be our last. Thank you.
I usually dread the process of having to upgrade a phone and/or changing my plan, but thanks to Tashay, the Customer Service Rep who assisted me today, it was actually a pleasant experience. She was fast, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I will definitely return to this location for all my Verizon needs. Nick, the manager, and the other two associates were great as well.
Had to wait a little while but didnt mind at all because the sales associate Jason was super upbeat and entertaining! Not only was he funny and knowledgeable but he helped me get my phone to start charging rather than taking my money for a new phone. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a phone or better service. Keep up the good work!
There was a mistake on my account regarding my insurance coverage that was made by the previous associates before corporate Verizon took over this store. Jordan the associate and Nick, the store manager, tried to honor my request but the computer program wouldnt allow it. Jordan then spent an hour on the phone with various representatives from the insurance company who had the policy and with corporate Verizon. He was AMAZING!! He wouldnt take no for answer. He truly had my best interest in mind. He ended spending several hours on the phone. Nick was also great at assisting with the issue in the following days. In the end, I was able to have my phone fixed and my account was rectified. Jordan and Nick were great and went beyond to help me get a fair deal.
John B. and all the associates were fantastic! More than helpful and they know their stuff! My family will always do business here. Very professional and an added bonus to this community. I will mention though that those hard working employees need some window coverage from the setting sun as their storefront faces west. It gets VERY warm in there. Im sure customers would appreciate this as well. This is out of their control so 5 stars it is!
My mother and l walked in 30 minutes before closing time and spent longer than expected in the store, the employees were more than happy to stay after hours to help with our experience. We ended up leaving an hour after closing. They were relatable and kind for the whole time. One of our best experiences at a phone store! Props to Johnny B and Robert
I was helped tonight by one of your sales associates, John B. Im due for an upgrade but was on the fence about what phone I should go with. He was extremely helpful, honest and made it obvious that he had MY best interest in mind. Definitely the best customer service experience Ive ever had! (Promote him asap)
I bought a S7 phone and case form this store. The case came with free lifetime glass replacement. Well it went fine the first time I needed to change the glass ,but now I have been waiting for 10+ days for a replacement. I was told it would be 3 days. They do not answer the phone when you call the store, just not happy. For this kind of service I could have stayed with AT&T..... THEY FIXED THE ISSUE
This store is amazing! Robert, the manager, went above and beyond to help me get my phone working and on track. He stayed late just to be sure I left a satisfied customer. Definitely the only Verizon store I will ever shop at again! I am over the moon with how wonderful Robert and his staff were to me!
The employees here are leaps above the rest. Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We were happy when we left, which is a rarity among cell phone stores. I highly recommend GoWireless in Amherst over other stores because they got us everything we needed and made the experience as enjoyable and easy as it could be.
I went in to this store because my phone was not working properly. The man at the counter Michael asked if he could help me. I told him my phone was locking up and the storage was full. Michael took my phone and said I need to transfer my photos to Google. I told him I know but it wont let me. He was scrolling through the phone and said Well Im not sure. Right at that moment I realized he was to lazy to help me. So I nicely took the phone out of his hand and walked out without saying a word. I will never step foot in that store again. I guess if youre not buying something they dont wanna help you. I have been with Verizon for 20 years and have the same phone number. I was with Verizon before they were Verizon. This gentleman was the worst customer service person that I have came across in a very long time. Apparently it was too much of a bother for him to look at my phone!!
Ive been a Verizon Customer for over 10 years now and have been using their Cloud services since they first introduced it back in the day. Well in January, and without knowing about it, ALL of my videos, texts, photos, documents and everything and anything else I considered valuable were completely erased when Verizon decided to take away their free Cloud Service. All of my memories, cherished photos and text conversations of loved ones, and even crucial information in documents I had backed up are now GONE. When they took away the free services, I thought nothing of it because I figured it should be simple enough to just transfer what was in the free 5 GB cloud over to the new cloud. Nope. Not only did VERIZON WIRELESS not do me the courtesy of transferring over everything that was in the old 5 GB cloud to the new one, but they also went on to tell me that they DELETED EVERYTHING after only 30 days and there was nothing they could do at that point. I was in shock. At that moment, I wanted nothing more than to drop VERIZON and never look back and switch to a new provider because I had lost something so precious to my heart because of VERIZONS greed and deception. However, JOHNNY B and ROBERT, the store manager, are the only reason I am still using Verizon as my cell phone provider today. Not only were JOHNNY and ROBERT kind and sympathetic to my situation, but they were also able to comfort me and help me so that this doesnt happen again in the future. I mean I had just lost a portion of my life because of Verizon, but these two gentlemen have restored my faith in this company. They were pleasant, knowledgable and in my eyes MODEL EMPLOYEES. Ive been wanting to leave Verizon for awhile now but because of them, Ive decided differently. This was the first time, in over 10 years with this provider, that I felt like my business mattered to this company. Thank you JOHNNY B and Thank you ROBERT. Ive also been reading past reviews about this store and would like to just say that I personally find JOHNNY Bs energy and humor to be an asset to this company. You keep doing you Johnny :)
Everytime we go to this store a very nice girl has helped us. Her name is Teshay. I cant thank her enough for all she did to help locate my sons phone when it was stolen. She couldve just let us pay the deductible and went on with her day. But she went out of her way to help. And he was able to get his phone back in less than an hour of stepping foot in the store. That is what customer service is! That is something most places are lacking these days. I hope the owners of this location know what a valuable employee they have. She leaves a great impression for their business.
Person who waited on me was not at all helpful. Took 3 people and one from Dish satelite to fix my problem. The person from Dish solved the problem.Then there was another issue to deal with. That they said I needed Customer service to take care of.. So I said call them and we can all learn the answer. There answer was you want us to call? They really dont know what they are doing there
I really enjoyed my experience with Nykee. She helped me get a phone for my son after Asurion ticked me off. She also went above and beyond by offering me additional options for discounts and services with my current plan. I will be coming to see her again when I need to replace my phones on my plan. Brandon was extremely professional and polite during the transfer of, and activation of, my new phone and phone plan. I would highly recommend himself as well as the staff of the Verizon store on oak point road and I look forward to continuing my future business here.
Went to this store to get a phone for my daughter. We were taken care of by Mylenna who was super helpful and knowledgeable. She listened to us and gave us options based on our needs, but was never pushy. We needed to contact the corporate office and she took care of it and didn’t just say “here’s the number you can call”. Would definitely go there again!
Please do not let your senior parents anywhere near this store. They will take huge advantage of them. My in-laws recently bought 2 new phones. My mother in-law said they gave us a tablet for free. When we looked at there bill we discovered that the tablet was indeed free but they now have a 2 year data contract on it. My in-laws are in their 80’s and never use the internet and have zero use for it. They heard “free” and thought Verizon was giving them a gift. The Verizon sales person also signed them up for for insurance on every device and glass protection insurance $$$. We also discovered that they have been pay for a data plan for another tablet (which they have never owned) for two years. Please check you senior parents cell phone bill, sadly these cell phone companies are taking advantage of them.
We went in to get a smartphone for my stepson. Robert was sooooo helpful. Gave us a heck of a deal. He then informed me that my phone would be obsolete next year, so, while we were there, upgraded my phone as well. We took up a lot of his time, but he was great throughout. Well be back!
I found the staff to be very deceptive. He assured my that he could get me a brand new iphone 8 for the same price it would cost me to pay the deductible on my phone insurance. This, of course, was a lie. After pressing him for details, it turns out the $200 he quoted me was only for taxes and the charger and case he originally said he was throwing in. It would have been an additional $29 per month for the phone. Plus he said my insurance wouldnt cover anything, then he said it would be $199 for a replacement phone. Also lies. It cost $29 for a new screen or $89 for a replacement phone with my plan (which he looked up). Felt I was being tricked and dont appreciate it.
Horrible John b has a lot of energy ,but too much for this store .He screams ,jumps ,and is too fast at explaing things it almost if he is on something. Now appearance just horrible his shoes and looks not professional .Also please has your employees wear some type of spray because he also smelled like a straight cigarettes . This store is great just this one time was just horrible.
I absolutely love this Verizon. They are always helpful and knowledgable on the phones and other merchandise. If you have any conflicts with your phone, they will do anything they can to help and come up with a solution to give you the best results and our honest. I highly recommend this Verizon.
Larissa at Amherst store is the most helpful, knowledgeable, curious, patient sales rep that I have ever encountered. She has surpassed 3 other verizon places I have gone too recently. Stopped in on 5/15 to pick up a charging cord and get a question answered regarding my account. I have 5 phones that share 15 GB and Robert told me he could switch me to an unlimited data plan for $25.00 per month cheaper. So I did. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Fortunately, Verizon corporate was able to get me back to where I needed to be with out it costing me too much but I was very disappointed that Robert and Go Wireless didnt fully understand the data plan they were selling. Furthermore, I have asked Robert to call me regarding this issue and he wont call me. I will not go back to Go Wireless again.
When I bought my phone and case there I was told that I had a LIFETIME WARRANTY on the tampered glass screen protector. I guess 2 years is the lifetime. Although the phone is not dead and very much alive. Good thing they just opened a new Verizon store closer to my house.
This place is AMAZING!! I went in with a tall order to fill change numbers, contracts, carriers, phones and they DELIVERED!!! The task at hand was very trying but Andres, and Sadi ( and Chris ) were BEYOND wonderful and helpful!! I have been going to this retailer for a couple years now, and keep coming back because I have always been taken care of and the staff is very knowledgeable and respectful...thanks again guys ALL YOUR HELP is appreciated!!!!
Had trouble with my Samsung s5 today. For some reason it rebooted and went back to factory settings. After researching online it looked like my contacts and photos could be retrieved. I went to the store to see if they could help me out with that.All I got was a sales pitch and a denial that anything could be done to restore my phone.When you are told your phone is suddenly no good when I had been having no problems I just was not going to believe that bs.Went home and called verizon tech service.They took control of my phone and walked me through fixing my phone. Problem solved! All my pictures and contacts retrieved. Just thinkIf I fell for that pitch in the store and bought a new phone when I didnt need one. It is sad to be treated like that just to make a sale.
Fed up wit my prior service, I was not able to make it to the store until a hour before close thinking that would be plenty time to switch from my previous provider to Verizon.... BOY WAS I WRONG! Nykee stayed WELL AFTER store hours and PATIENTLY HELPED me along the way in dealing with being passed from person to person on the the phone with customer service of my prior service because they locked my phone that is PAID OFF and said I had to wait days for it them to unlock it for a Verizon sim to work. Not trying to sell me anything and feeling my frustration with the other service, we came to a conclusion after talking options. Furthermore, I am now a happy Verizon customer! DO NOT GO HERE! On July 8, 2016 I purchased a Droid Turbo II from the Go Wireless store in Oak Pointe plaza in Amherst Ohio. They are a certified Verizon Wireless dealer. The store itself only says Verizon Wireless on the outside. An individual named Andrew sold me the phone, stating that it was shatterproof. If it were to shatter it would be replaced. I was also told that if I was unsatisfied with the phones features I could get another phone within 14 days. On the day of July 18, 2016 I was exiting the track after a run and dropped my phone on the track. The bottom of the shatter proof phone cracked. I immediately decided to take the phone back to the Verizon store and trade it in because it was only 10 days out of my 14 days. I was dissatisfied with the shatterproof feature because the phone shattered. Additionally, Motorola and Verizon stated that the phone had a 48 hour battery life. My phone battery usage shows it is sitting with the screen of 48% of the time. The phone lasts only 6-8 hours with normal use without needing a charge. When I went to Verizon I was told that Motorola would replace my phone. Upon calling Motorola they told the Verizon rep that that was not the case. Only the LCD band it guaranteed. The Verizon rep, Brandon, yelled at the Motorola representative “This is why you’re going out of business and won’t have a job soon”. The other representative in the store at the time came up and said “This is the best part about not being a carrier, it’s not our problem.” Brandon then called Verizon Wireless who told him to call Motorola. At that point they just gave me the same phone number they previously called and told me they couldn’t help me. They also said that they could not honor my 14 day return because the phone was cracked. I then asked if they would honor it if I got Motorola to replace the screen. They said they would not that I was stuck with the phone. When I said that it was false advertising Brandon told me “Well if I sold you a flying car and it didn’t fly would it be my fault or the car companies?”. They also spent the vast majority of the time I was with them talking negatively about others who worked for the store. In a nutshell, I bought a shatterproof phone, it shattered after 9 days and neither Verizon nor Motorola will honor their deals, even after repeatedly saying they’d replace the phone. They also offered 50% off accessories to a woman and I was never offered that deal either. Additionally, while I was in store they told a man looking at phones that the phone model I have is waterproof and shatterproof, neither of which is true. DO NOT GO HERE!
Stop going here years ago because of problems and decided to give it another go to get a sim card activated. They managed to completely mess it up and deactivate the wrong phone and make something simple into an ordeal. The attitude from the employee just topped it all off. Id recommend just going to the actual store in Elyria. NEVER would recommend this place.
Horrible store. The store manager is very unaware of everything about his store. He told me i could come back in friday of this week and still be able to get the iphone XR buy one get one free deal. I went in today (thursday) to get it, and now they are telling me the deal is over. I asked for information on line upgrades and he told me, only for me to be told today COMPLETELY different numbers. This store is a MESS and should not stay open.
I came to Robert today he was awesome very honest and open about all the fees talked to us about the phones helped us back up everything even though it was past closing. Just over all an awesome experience and I will definitely come back for any thing I need here at the Amherst local !
Okay I am Benjamin Cabell and Im a very satisfied customer but because of Johnny be today Im even a more satisfied customer Ive been using the j3 for a few months now and I knew anything for the folks at the the other Verizon doll I wanted to do is to sell but not tell anything about how to use the system they were big kind of resent it when I ask some questions so I came to Johnny be today out of the blue and he said come on up Im glad to help you and he did and he says come back anytime you need so I just want to take
If it wasnt for Jonathan baughman this would be a 1 star rating I was completely mislead by multiple employees about phone features and account information but Mr Baughman worked very hard to fix any issues and get me the correct information please know that he did a wonderful job
They totally lied to me tovsell me a phone and the rebate they lied about ,did not receive.spoke to manager Robert ,did not do a think except lie again .i think that must be what they trained to do .Never will I go this store again . They can be betrayed as very nice .the guy I had was too interested on how he looks and talked about his self and screwed me with the phone price .

Both staff members who assisted me were very kind and professional, as well as informative. I highly recommend this Amherst Verizon store and I will definitely be going back in the future!!

2021-12-14Anthony is very good at his job and a great person...the problem that I am having is I have been waiting 3 months for them to fix my bill and give me my credits.. I am getting way over charged and there should be discounts that are not coming on my bill because the guy that helped us get the phone must have messed up and it did not go in and now I have to suffer and pay way more than I should be and.. I asked them to have the district manager call me and every time he or she is going to call I never get a CALL nothing at all. on top of everything I dont feel like I should have to reach out every month to find out what is going on with everything and it is the same thing every time I call they are looking into it....this is not my fault and is not fair. that I have to go through this... this is a very BAD experience and a very BIG waste of my time..as I write this I am waiting for someone to pick up from corporate been on phone for 50 mins and still waiting...

2021-02-27Today my daughter and I went into the Amherst Verizon for help with my daughters phone and upon us entering was a very personable young man (Andrew) training another young man (Dylan). I was desperate for help as my daughters phone appeared possessed and we wanted input on what possibly could be the problem before going to the apple store. Andrew was super honest and upfront with us and looked over the phone as his trainee Dylan reported he personally had the same issue happen to his phone and he ended up needing to buy a new phone. Andrew helped us with trying to turn it on and off..etc but nothing worked. As I appeared frustrated he advised me that since I had an outside screen protector placed that Apple would not do anything as this was not put on through Verizon or Apple. He started to look up my plan..crunch numbers and showed me my possible options today. After calling my husband he advised me to wait but Andrew advised me that not only my daughters phone could trade in but my sons phone too for a certain amt a month and I thanked him and told him Ill talk to the hubby. After going home with Andrews business card and the phone options and price...my husband advised me to just go take her back and my son to. Upon entering back to the store Andrew was already with a customer and he allowed another very genuine coworker of his Vinny to take us. I must say even those these young men took every Covid option to heart I could see their smiles and true compassion of wanting to help me. My daughter and son ended up trading in their phones and getting I phone 12s today but as we were finishing the final set up my daughters phone wouldnt finish doing something as planned and all 3 young men there at Verizon worked together figuring out who to.call and what to do to make me happy and my kids too. They figured it out to where I did not need to go home without her new phone!. Vinny and Andrew took charge and worked great together!!.I am over the moon and how professional, personable and genuine all three of these young men were with me and my kids. They truly cared about us and even asked if we had any good plans today after leaving which really as they started a conversation with me and my kids which my enjoyed talking to them. Today was a great day as my two kids walked out with new phones and mom was happy for these genuine and caring men. Vinny was so knowledgeable with the IT part of the phones and even spent time assisting my daughter with her set up.and showing her how to work the phone after it was not activating correctly. Vinny and Andrew deserve an added bonus or recognition for the 5 star , A+++++++ service today as I can see they truly care about people and not just making a buck or two off of selling phones!!.If your going to Verizon..Go to the Amherst one and see Andrew or Vinny as they are the top dogs in my book and are excellent at what they do!!. I told Dylan the trainee as it was his first day he is very lucky to be trained by these two men and to pay attention to how they interact with their customers!!.. I THANK U Andrew, Vinny and Dylan for helping me today as I am forever grateful and will definitely be back to see you for any of my phone needs!!!. 2020-05-28I needed my phone switched to a business account...Nate was the most amazing sales person/manager that Ive ever had the privilege of being helped by. Not, only did he get my line switched, I upgraded my phone and he stayed late to make sure I was taken care of. Nate really turned a horrible night into an empowering one. I now have the newest phone and a great price for my phone bill! Also, Nate has the best store music around! Dont go anywhere else but to see Nate, for all your cellular needs!!! Thanks a lot Nate!!!!

2020-02-19My mother needed a new iPhone. Jay and Mike were so patient and helpful with all of her questions. Jay even synced her new phone to her car for her. They were funny and we enjoyed the jokes and lighthearted teasing. We had several good laughs which made our time there enjoyable. I always go to this location when I’m due for a new device, and have never had a bad experience but this one was the best to date! Thank you Jay and Mike for making a dreaded chore fun!
