The name says it, they have a nice variety on the menu. Breakfast served all day, breakfast specials until 11:00am. Friendly staff. Fast and attentive service. Good food. Large portions.

Came here for breakfast with my boyfriend. They were really busy and short staffed, but that didn’t affect our experience at all. Staff was very friendly and timely, food was delicious and came out hot and fresh. Prices are good as well. Definitely recommend!
Im going to start by saying:The German Fries!!! Mmmm.I didnt know that German Fries existed until my late forties -- it then became my goal to try them in the many breakfast joints of small-town-Ohio where I live.As of May, 2022 -- Varietys has the lock on this comfort-food-breakfast dish.Ive been coming to Varietys for years. When my parents visit from Michigan, we often come here. The service is dependable. The food is consistently delicious.Its not a pretentious restaurant and it has won the hearts of many regulars.The prices are fair and the breakfasts are generous.I know that they serve other meals, but Ive never had the chance to try any of those -- Im just too happy coming back over and over again for a dependable family-style-restaurant experience.
This place surprised me. Its just a little no-frills diner with good food and down home service. They have all the typical breakfast food items, and everything is prepared well. Weve been a few times and are yet to be disappointed.
Good food, great prices, and a decent staff. Does have a very dated decor and menu, not necessarily a bad thing when Im feeling nostalgic.
Oooooohhhhhh my god we went here at last minute right before they closed and I asked if they would take a family if not thats ok. They took us in !!!! Service was outstanding. Salad bar was great. Large portions on entrees but were a little bland.
We were seated within 5 minutes. The server took our order within 5 minutes. Everyone was friendly and the food was delicious.
Food and service were phenomenal. First time there, and ready to go back again and again. I ordered the Amish turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy, and used the soup and salad bar. Every component was absolutely delicious. Big portions too. Clearly all made from scratch, full of flavor, super filling and comforting. The waitresses were extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere itself and the restaurant decor are light and airy and very beautiful. Despite being short staffed due to labor shortage the food arrival was timely and there was no shortage of attention paid to us by our waitress. Amazing!

Salad bar was open completely full that we could help ourselves. The soup was very filling and delicious! Oh the rice pudding was fantastic! Salad was very delicious with the peas, kidney beans, black olives, garbanzo beans, cheese, bacon etc. Waitress was young friendly and talked with us as well. Another great place to return.
Best Cabbage Rolls from here to Columbus or Cleveland. Nice, clean salad bar, nice staff.
The ceiling fans wrote up way too high air was blowing everywhere it was rather cold the food was a little greasy other than that I guess I would give it a two stars

We both had the soup and salad bar. It had a lot of choices but not so many that you couldnt make a decision.

The young woman serving us was good. Their cut piece of neat they called a steak was tough. I get it though, steak is expensive right now. I just wish it was on the menu as eye of round or whatever cut it was. Scrambled eggs were nice and fluffy and the coffee big and hot. Only disappointment was the cut of meat.
I tried to locate your menu online so that I could place an order on the phone and come down and pick it up. But when I pressed on the button for your website it just says this is a broken link. I guess I will go somewhere else for dinner

Had a very basic lunch. Eggs and sausage had a funny taste, but edible. Bacon and French toast were amazing. Service was spot on. Prices are very reasonable.
Server was great, food wasn’t bad but not good either. Sweet and sour shrimp was made with canned fruit cocktail.
Variety Resturant marches to their own beat. Most dishes are main street American fare. The food is flavorful and hearty. The dishes arrived in a timely manner and were plated in an appealing manner. However the kitchen felt it was necessary to add a thin slice of a rather large orange🍊 to my plate (along with a very fresh looking and generous sized piece of lettuce plus a generous slice of 🍅 tomato. My companion and i arrived on a Sat afternoon. The menu had Sat menu specials and i selected BBQ hamburger with cheese/bacon/BBQ sauce/Cole Slaw/2 onion rings. The meal came with a cup of 🍲 soup and 🍟fries. Both were Delicious! The chicken noodle soup was chock full of noodles, chicken and some veggies. The fries were very tasty and i received a generous- sized portion. The BBQ burger was awesome. The burger itself was huge! The BBQ sauce/cheese/bacon was quite good. The Cole slaw was also tasty. The meal was very filling and i ended up bringing part of it 🏡 home. Along with a diet Coke. My meal was around $12. My companion walks with a walker and i use a cane. We had no problem in the restaurant with either piece of equipment. The tables are far enough apart to accommodate them. Neither of us used the restroom so i do not know its accessibility status. The service was great and the waitress quickly responded to all of our requests. i would definitely recommend the Variety Resturant.NOTE: the salad bar was not available due to lingering COVID- 19 restrictions.
The prices are very good and the food is good. It definitely has a family friendly atmosphere. Most of the customers were regulars and the workers all knew them.
Been to Varietys many, many times but never for breakfast. What a mistake not trying breakfast sooner. We were seated immediatel and our waitress was Brenda. Water and coffee were on the table within minutes eventhough they were busy. I selected one of the breakfast specials and my friend had the Farmers Frittata which was the size of the whole dinner plate and was delicious. If you want to try a different restaurant this is the place to dine. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Be sure to ask to be seated in Brendas section for great service.
Our server Amy S. was terrific. Shes very on point, professional but laid back at the same time. I ordered the smothered chopped sirloin with mashed potatoes and both were great. Salad bar is a great bonus and its stocked very well. Interior furniture and decoration are very dated like something from early 2000s but the place is well kept and very clean. No complaints here!
Good fast service coffee is good has a clean taste considering the dirty taste of cantons water, and the food was good big portions just a little bland could use some salt and other seasonings, but considering I has breakfast for lunch and couldnt eat dinner till 7:30 that night overall really good Ill call it trucker approved. Price wise it was $24 and change for 2 people
Found this place by chance on Google. Was a good find! We were the youngest people in the place...but we liked it because it was quiet!😊 i got the fish, it was a lil over cooked, but was ok. The food portions were plentiful. Hubs got some greek pasta thing, he said it was good. The salad n soup were very good! Def eat here again!
My parents were in town took them here l was amazed st how much food you get and it was very good but what made it great was the service. Our waitress was amazing wish l would of gotten her name. She was so pleasant and sweet. Thank you great place!
Not impressed. Love the Massillon location breakfast. We had stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage, salad bar in chicken fettuccine alfredo and everything was very Bland. Salad bar was good.
Our first time here. Very clean, very prompt service. The menu has a wide variety of dinners, sandwiches and breakfast. Breakfast is served all day. Big portions and most of the dinners include 1 trip to the soup and salad bar. Many toppings. Everything was cold and fresh on the salad bar. Our food was very good and I know well be back soon. Oh and they have daily specials and a senior dinner section with lower prices I think till 5.
I like the food here. Ive not had a bad experience yet. They even have unusual dishes. A great place to eat! You really must give them a try@

We go to Varietys frequently for breakfast or lunch. Both menus provide extensive choices and the food is always to our liking. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere
Excellent food. They gave me enough toppings for my sweet potato. At those steak houses they barely give you enough. The salad bar was decent. The servers were all over the top nice. Great find and we cant wait to go back.

Affordable prices. Adequate service. And good food. I really enjoy this place been there a few times. The most recent time though the waitress was either overly busy or not having a great day ahead was lack in keeping up with us and food was a little slower than usual. Still not a bad experience by far.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. The coffee is excellent, the waiters and waitresses are kind, conversational, and friendly, and the food is delicious, hot, and filling. The portions are more than enough for one person, and at an excellent price to boot! If you come, I recommend the Skillet with eggs over easy :)
Newly removed. PPO done all around. Felt comfortable eating inside. We had German Fries, BLT sandwich, and fruit between the two of us and it was delicious! Great portions, nice price.
Ordered fish, sweet potato and the one trip to the salad bar and coffee. Well, the salad bar was pretty good, and so was the sweet potato, but the fish was horrible. I couldnt even cut into it, so I turned it over and it was almost burnt on that side. I took my fork and hit it and it made a noise because it was so hard. The waitress was very nice and offered to get me two more pieces. I said no, I didnt want that kind, but bring me the other fried fish, but by the time I got it everyone was done eating, so I just had her box it up and I brought it home. So it cost us almost $30.00 plus tip for two dinners that I only ate one trip to the salad bar and a sweet potato. My husband got the other fish, french fries, a trip to the salad bar and coke.
Have had several meals here now and all have been delicious. Wait staff are quick and personable. Decor is okay. Prices are very reasonable and thenportions are large.
I had a burger and it was delicious. I wanted my burger medium with very little pink. They cooked it perfectly without burning it.

Great food. Unfortunately I just forgot the name of our server but she is really good. It always amazes me when a server gets an order exactly right without notes but she also added butter (on the side) to my wifes order of veggies because thats how she likes it. Its the little things along with a friendly attitude that you remember.
Had a party of 15 Sunday for birthday celebration. Shout out to Mike our server, excellent service. Food good and meals satisfying. Third time we had Mike and with our large party this time he made sure everyone was happy. The other tables he served that night around us he did not miss a beat in serving them as well. Varietys is a nice homestyle restaurant with great choices and daily specials.My wifes favorite is the Amish Turkey dinner which comes with fresh turkey off the bone, stuffing, mash potatoes and gravy. It is quite filling.My personal favorite is the spaghetti dinner. Its not spectacular by any measure but its tasty, not too expensive, and very filling.My favorite part of eating there is the salad bar. Great choices from your regular lettuce and tomatoes to peas, potato salad, bean salad, cucumber salads, and so on. Ive even had unusual items like hearts of palm (delicious) and green onion stalks. Made my breath bad but it was a nice change of pace.Dont forget the soups of the day. Ive had chicken noodle, clam chowder, cream of mushroom, etc. Its all delicious and satisfying.Of course any small diner has its share of desserts. Im not a dessert eater myself but they have a selection of pies, cakes, and other sweets.My only complaint is that the restaurant is so small. Theres not a whole lot of seating and some parts of the dining room are a little cramped. Same with the bathrooms, but they are always clean. A nice plus.Overall Varietys offers good food with good value. I always enjoy eating there.
Homey feel, very welcoming. Updated menu. Wonderful fresh salad bar. Have meals for everyones likes and all ages. Breakfast all day. If you like Greek food, they have some homemade dishes that are fabulous. But the menu isnt strictly Greek.

A group of about 20 men from our church had breakfast here. We called ahead and they were ready for us and accommodated our group very well. The service was fast, the waitress was great, the food was good, and the prices were very fair. We will definitely go back!

Theyve changed things so much since the owner left. I dont feel for the better. Waitress took almost 10 mins before she even got our drinks. Hostess was sitting reading the paper and was very rude. Used to love this place. Think its time to find a new spot.

I care for my mother and once in awhile we want to order out and Varietys is one of the places in town we are blessed with.They always give too much food,so we have enough leftovers to freeze for another time!

We were there for lunch and the waitress, Linda couldnt have been nicer to our group. We are from a special needs program and were treated like anyone else. Thank you Varietys for having us. By the way everyone enjoyed the food.
This restaurant is FABULOUS. Always enough food to take home for another meal. Delicious soup & entrees. Huge selection to pick from makes it hard to choose.The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful, always go out of their way to help.I highly recommend Varieties.

Fantastic food and service. Had the open faced turkey sandwhich which was wonderful added some onion rings and topped off the meal. Quiet atmosphere great for a meal with family or friends.

Fast , friendly service. The american cheese burger was awesome, and it seemed the french fries were endless. The establishment was very clean and comfortable and the price was good. The only thing i would change are the bathroon sighn. They have it up as women to the left men to the right, but it was just the opposite on the doors. I opened the door and a man walked out lol.

Our waitress was very sweet. But as we were eating I watched a waitress sweep rugs fold them place against the wall . She swept the dirt under the coffee station around the corner from where I was sitting. She also broke a bowl and swept it against the wall.Id 🔥 her!

Very good meal for a very reasonable price. Their stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls were very good and so was their turkey dinner.
They have a great full salad bar including homemade soup which is very very good. It is not fancy..but it is clean, good service with excellent home cooked food. If you want Outback or that type of place...this isnt it...but if you want a comfortable, family friendly place with very good food, Varietys is the place.

We love Varietys because of the, well, variety. For a family of five, its the one place that makes everybody happy. The soup-and-salad bar is always loaded with two soups and fresh salad ingredients. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner -- its all good!

I am giving this a five because it is one of my local restaurants and I go quite often. They have a decent salad bar in the food is pretty good home-cooked Style. They do go through staff sometimes so the service will vary.

Very disappointing. Found a hair in my pork chop. Was offered to replace the meal or deduct it off the bill, but since it came with a trip to the salad bar I would still have to pay for that. Wow, unreal. Lets say I wont be returning any time soon.

Ashley rocked as a server. Got the meat skillet and ordered toast because menu didnt mention that it had potatos in it. Surprised when I found out that it did, just enough to fill me up.

By far the worst food and service of my life, and Im pretty easy to please. I ordered a steak, BIG MISTAKE, and it was covered in fat and completely flavorless.. i understand, not everywhere has good steaks- that was MY bad. So politely i asked for them to take the steak back and just give me chicken fingers instead, you cant go wrong with chicken fingers, right? Wrong..... they were terrible and fat filled. And the manager had the effing nerve to come to me, ask me what was wrong with the steak and insult me by saying the steak was fine, and that it wasnt bad. He was insulted that his low grade steak was denied? It was by far the worst of my life. It seriously tastes worse than dog food. Then since i changed from the original meal of the steak which includes the salad bar I was charged 5$ for the chicken, and 7$ for the salad bar, that i got a TINY salad and didnt even eat the salad. completely over charged me and the manager and the employees made ME out to be like i was difficult and hard to please. Im not, its actually really easy seeing im 5 months pregnant, ill eat whatever really. Worst experience of my life.. Literally. It was 8pm on a friday night with nobody in there.. that should have been my sign. And not to mention the carpet is so damn filthy i wouldnt let my dog lay on it. Oh and both me and my mom got a male employee walked in on us seperate times we went in there.simply dont go here.ever..
The salad bar is the best around and comes with soup. Food is a 4 for this style of place and price is a 5. The atmosphere is a bit old looking but well worth the stop

Best soup and salad bar around, very generous portions. The serving staff and management are always pleasant, I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

2022-08-07Food portions are big, but food is average. This review is being written after our 3rd visit there. Breakfast (our first visit) was good, and our coffee cups were never empty.Our next 2 visits were for dinner. Service was mediocre. At out table, (4 of us on one visit, 2 of us the next) our hot entrees were brought out before any of us were even a third of the way through our salads. I dont understand how or why servers do this, when they see us still eating our salads. Servers were friendly, but after dropping off our food too soon, never checked how things were until we were all nearly done with our meals. Management really needs to train their servers. On both of our visits, the handicapped stall in the womens bathroom was out of order, very inconvenient for our grandparent who was with us.Their salad bar is adequate, but dont bother with the stuffed peppers. The filling is approximately 75% rice, and flavorless.

2021-10-30Very clean Restaurant, the staff was friendly and professional! The food was great and the portions were huge! I got a breakfast skillet and my wife got an omelet, we both had to ask for a to-go box because we couldnt finish our meal!

2022-05-11Normally love this restaurant and have been going there for work lunch for well over 3 years now, constantly supporting them even through the pandemic, but after today’s service I will not go back.When ordering for lunch we tend to have rather large orders (we’re ordering for 5-6 people) and when picking up the lunch we were greeting with nothing but negativity in front of the other patrons. Complaining about the size of our order and claiming that we have to start paying an extra 20% gratuity payment if our order are going to be that big. Awestruck at the sheer disrespect from the woman working the register we just got our food, paid, and left.After arriving back at work and unpacking everything we found out that they gave us a “turkey open faced sandwich” instead of a “pork open faced sandwich” and completely left out one of our “beef open faced sandwiches.” When going back to get our order fixed they refused to make the wrongs right and give us the pork open faced sandwich we ordered unless we brought back the turkey (which I did not bring with me because what restaurant would want already sent out the door food?) they did agree to give us the beef open faced sandwich that they did not supply.

2022-08-14Made a trip out to the area and we wanted to try something local. We are glad we did the food is great. (Stuffed peppers are fantastic) the service was good too , Jasmine was wonderful. We would definitely eat here again when in town.

2022-05-06Dropped in unexpectedly with 7 other family members. They got us seated quickly. I ordered the soup and salad bar and was happy with my choice. Others got full meals and they were huge portions! Every entree got one trip to the salad bar. The salad bar is long in length which means you can load up. We had somewhere else to go or I might have ordered a dessert. I give it a five start review. Great location off S. Main St. in North Canton. Just as stated in the name, lots of variety on the menu. Also a location in Massillon.

2022-07-21Second time here. I ordered the veggie omelette and it was huge! They do put the hash browns inside the omelette though. My husband ordered the steak and eggs. His steak smelled and tasted rotten. They offered to make him something else but he lost his appetite by then. They only took $2 off! So we paid about $13 for eggs and hash browns.

2022-07-22Wow. This is a delicious and delightful eatery in North Canton, Ohio. The food is fantastic. 😋The menu is a mouthwatering wonder. The service is excellent. The space is clean and inviting. The knockout roses on the outside are gorgeous.
