This is the second time Ive had Phil Fry take care of me when Ive come in for service. I really appreciate his kind demeanor and hes such a nice person. A good attitude is definitely contagious. I wish everyone I met at all levels of retail and service and just life in general were as nice and as patient as Phil Fry is. I can go on and on singing his praises. Anyways, I hope you take care of him and keep him around.
Booking the appointment was easy. Needed an airbag recall and oil change preformed. They stated about 1 hour for the appointment. We live about 45 minutes from the Dealer. When we arrived, the Service Advisor told us it would be 2 hours... Alittle disappointed, we werent prepared for that. Though we managed as they didnt even have a shuttle at the time. The service we received seemed rush even though they took every bit of 2 hours. Spilled oil on the intake so it stunk and smoked. Tires.. They said they rotated them, Im not sure they did... And they didnt relearn the sensors. Like I said it seemed to be rushed but still took awhile. Made us feel uneasy about the quality of the work that was done and if it was done correctly.
Always felt comfortable about making a decision. No pressure, just a good time. I trust Jay Mower to take me from the beginning to the end in guiding me to a car I like, Jay answers all my questions and tells me important informations that I dont even know to ask.I recommend asking for Jay if you want the best deal in buying a warranted car. I recently purchased a new vehicle at Vandevere Chevrolet. I just wanted to thank Colten for walking me through all the steps and helping me make an informed decision. I would have given 5 stars but there seems to be some communication errors going on with this dealership. The car I made an appointment to see was already sold while I was making the appointment to see it. I even called while I was on my way and they were dishonest about the car still being available. (It had sold the night before.) But I decided to hang in there because I was very interested in the life long warranty that they offer. My salesperson, Joe Casperry, was still very patient and helpful. We ended up finding a perfect fit. We hit a few snags in financing because, again, there were apparently some communication errors, but all in all it was a bumpy process that ended well for me. Ill also add that they did restore some faith for me when I realized I left cash in the car I traded in and it was still there hours later. That speaks volumes!
Billy Johnson is an excellent salesman! He is very knowledgeable and excellent communication with every vehicle we have purchased from Vandevere!! He stayed in touch with us while we were awaiting the delivery of our new vehicle. He is professional and wants make sure that the customer is completely satisfied during their purchase journey. Corey was my salesman and he sold me my first car, 2016 mazda 3 and I love it so much!! He was so nice and very informative when it came to monthly payments, where to get serviced if something happened to the car. I would buy another vehicle from him and the company!!

My experience went well. I was able to obtain information on how much Vandavere was willing to offer me for my vehicle if purchased back. My oil change was conducted in reasonable amount of time. Overall, everything went well and I had no issues during my scheduled appointment
I am just do thrilled to have worked with Justin on purchasing my car. He took the time to show me about 20 cars, because Im so indecisive, but once I finally narrowed down what I wanted he pulled around the car that met all my needs! It was an AMAZING experience to work with Justin. He is THE GUY to go to.
We had a great sales person Martha, however we had many disappointments and deception leading up to the sales process. We went there particularly because we were told multiple times on the phone that they were getting shipments every two weeks and we shouldnt have an issue getting a truck in. When we set up our appointment and arrived we were told the opposite. The market and inventory were unpredictable and we would need to place an order that would arrive maybe in six months. Feeling frustrated we changed our criteria and went back and forth about pricing, discounts, etc. Please be aware that on the phone I was told that they were selling vehicles at MSRP, and when we got there they had an up charge. When we disputed this information we were told everyone is doing it, but they arent. Weve talked to multiple dealerships that dont. Feeling dissatisfied we went to leave, but they sales manager agreed to make concessions. If not for our sales person I would have been done in the first 30 minutes. In the end my husband was happy, but I dont think I would return due to all the misinformation
I just drove home another vehicle from Vandevere Chevrolet. This is the fifth vehicle I’ve bought there and always have a good experience. Barry Allen Hubbard diligently searched for the exact vehicle we wanted and stayed in contact until we found it. They are a great group who goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. From Barry Allen our main man to Shane the sales mgr to Kieth in finance, they all made the whole experience chillax. Thanks.
I bought a 2016 Chevy Cruze from this dealer back in 2017 and was up to this point taking it in for repair service at needed intervals.I had not had any unpleasant experiences until a month ago. Earlier this year in the wintertime they had my car on their lift and did the point-by-point inspection as usual. They did not find the brakes needing to be replaced. A month ago, when I took it in for 45,000-mile maintenance I got a call and was told the brakes and rotors will all need to be replaced on top of the other work I was getting done. Only a little over 2000 miles had been put on my car in this timespan.No explanation as to what caused them to suddenly go bad within not even 3000 miles having passed between visits or why it wasnt caught before. In all, the bill came out to over $1400. What exactly are they doing in these inspections when you take your vehicle in for service? Judging by other reviews this isnt the first time something like this has happened.I only have one more year left on my car loan, so Im not taking my car back to them. Dont care about violating the warranty, they can eat it.Its kind of a shame too, in the years prior I always did have largely pleasant experiences.If you are affluent and want a fancy showroom to wait in while your car is being worked on with hot coffee and leather seats and can afford to throw away money on service that can be done for at least a third of the cost less at any independent shop then take your vehicle here. If you are working class and value your money, shop around somewhere else.
I was previously told by a salesman that with my purchase, I would receive 3 free oil changes. I scheduled my appointment and wasnt notified of any expected payment. I dropped off my car and wasnt notified of any payment. Once the oil change was complete, I was told that I owe $83.00. I argued with the Chevy Representative who seemed to not understand how to talk to frustrated customers who then reported me to her manager with a, Well we are not going to eat this oil change. The manager who then explained that Van Devere does not have free oil changes but for some reason kept referencing that he doesnt see anything on my account. That confused me before if the free oil changes are not offered, I do not know what he was looking for on my account. He did end up giving me the free oil change but now I can only assume that the other 2 free expected oil changes will not be honored. He also advised that because I did not get the coolant flushed at 100,000 miles that now the Lifetime warranty is null and void. I feel like Ive been hustled in a tremendous way by Van Devere and would definitely not recommend to anyone!
It was so bad that I don’t even wish to sure my experience. This was the first time in 4 years going to the dealer for service. Just happy to have my truck back a week later. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻Update had to make another appointment a week after truck was in the dealer for gas issue again spending another $350 for something that should have been fixed the first time not happy missing more work and they could care less. Called service manager 2 times with no call backs. So sick of dealing with them. Mr. VanDevere is more than welcome to call me and chat.
Flew in to purchase a truck after reviewing photos and video walkaround of the vehicle. When I arrived, everything seemed to match my expectations based on what was communicated from the dealer until I got underneath. They had done their own undercoating job (AWFUL) on the frame of the truck WHICH WAS NOT MENTIONED ONCE during any of our conversations prior to flying out. The undercoating was obviously applied to cover up the rusting throughout the frame which included scale rust. I even had my sales representative come underneath the truck to show him that this newly applied undercoating was already coming off in the areas with scale rust. Be careful of any older vehicles you purchase from here.
Was not told about about the giant bolt holding together my right side review mirror. Somehow I missed it. Also, did not realize until it was too late the total cost I would be paying for the car loan. I was told the car was x amount of dollars but I was not told about the real amount the car would cost me once all the payments were made. Not very happy with that service. Just kind of odd how they paid so much attention to making sure I didnt need anything to drink or a snack to eat but then didnt pay attention to providing me the negative details of the transaction.
I highly recommend VanDevere Chevrolet. Joe and Mike made our experience very non stressful. From the phone call to receiving the keys to my new suv, the whole experience snd process couldnt of went any smoother. Will definitely make the drive again for a future vehicle purchase
Billy was great at his job didn’t try to push me on any cars and wanted me to be happy with my decision!(Update 06/13/2022) upon purchasing the car it hadn’t even been serviced. I agreed to wait for it to be serviced which was supposed to be done by the end of the day. I didn’t get my vehicle that I already paid and signed on until after 3 days. I was told certain things were done which is insane because I’ve been back twice to get service already. I was told that the brakes were done completely all around, my brakes are already making noise. The last time I came to get work done on my engine, they fixed the initial issue and now my car sounds rougher with a rough idle, also my A/C stopped working after they serviced my vehicle. They also try to lie (not everyone but some) and say they don’t make anything on your sale, but they do. Had 2 employees bickering over who got the sale. All in all I was happy at first but I see that they are like 75% of car dealerships. Deceiving. And will also sell you a car before even knowing it’s a dud with a smile on their face!
Went in because my car was having trouble starting. Ok, needed a new battery. They did their multi point inspection. I took four hours to change a battery and as I drive away, before I get two blocks away my car has a warning light for a very low tire! Don’t trust these people! They do their inspection with a pencil! Check, check, check. All good! And they want me to bring it back to them. Ha don’t make me laugh!
Gave was great! He made sure I was comfortable every time I went in there! He kept me in the loop of everything throughout the whole process!! I thought buying a car would be stressful but nope Gabr made it simple & easy!!! If you need a car take yourself to Vandevere Chevrolet & ask for GABE!!!
A very good experience with purchasing a vehicle from Vandevere Chevrolet. There was a particular snag at first but the sales staff was courteous, took responsibility and apologized. There was no pressure from the sales staff. I knew what I wanted and amidst the busyness of the dealership was treated well. I would recommend Vandevere Chevrolet to those who would ask me.
Jay Mowrer went above and beyond to find my husband and I a car. We came in on friday with no idea of what we wanted and he was very patient and helpful. We left today very pleased with a vehicle and with the customer service we received. Will tell everyone what friendly great service we received.
Only Fords Allowed! Yes this is the way I grew up with a loving father who worked for Ford for 40 years. I grew up only with Fords since I can first remember in the 1960s. Above all, I remember my father asking us to never lose the thought of buying American —-after dozens of Ford cars I finally decided to cross over the line and buy a Chevrolet (with a welcome permission by my family haha). WHY NOW? Because of the amazing support and professional kindnesses shown to me by the Van Devere Bunch…especially from Joe Z (awesome assurance and assistance given), Sean and Joe and virtually every single staff person who greeted and guided. The process of switching from Ford to Chevrolet was something I thought about for years…I am so grateful for Michael and Jerry Van Devere and the team for making it something joyful for me. The Trailblazer is great and the expertise of the staff is flawless. I am grateful and will tell my family and friends!
Purchased my first car (2017 Chevy Malibu) with this dealer back in 2018, 2-3 months after having the vehicle I stated experiencing issues with the vehicle. I called in for them to take it back for them to take a look at what I had described (loud vibrating nose like a helicopter is literally flying over my car, shift to park signal when my car is already in park, late acceleration, engine power reduced when driving on the highway, and more electrical issues that was notified to them well after purchasing the vehicle. Every time I questioned that something was wrong with my car I was told (that’s normal for those type of cars) when I know it for a fact it was not.I stopped traveling the Akron for them to look at my car because I would leave with no positive resolution wasting time and gas for a 2 hour drive there and back and started going to a closer GMC here in Cleveland. When I purchased the vehicle I was told that I was able to branch off to a closer GMC because VanDevere distance is far. I was also told at the time of purchase that I had warranty forever with my vehicle. Today I learned that since I branched off to a close GMC that voided the warranty when I was told that I could. I then speak with Jeff from the service team from him to tell me that I am lying about not being told that In order for the warranty to still be useful a verification phone call had to be made before receiving service from other GMC certified dealership. I don’t recall Jeff sitting there at the time of purchased, VERY unprofessional to tell a customer that they’re lying when you can’t verify what was told to me instead of taking accountability for there salesperson actions. I will never in my LIFE purchase from this company ever again and will be looking into legal action for this vehicle. Chevy Malibus are known for their malfunctions and on top of that there still no recall….. I really wish I knew this before wasting thousands on this vehicle.Repairs are ALWAYS over $1000 and it’s not a luxury vehicle. This is the worst mistake!
I just would like to start off and say that this was the absolute worst service i have ever had. Had to take in a car for service at the vandevere of chevrolet not even after 2 months of owing the car that we have bought from vandevere and they where no help what so ever! Trying to get a hold of someone just to figure out what was going with the car took two days! After me calling was told manager would call me before they closed and didnt get a call had to call next day and still waited half the day! After going back and forth about pricing finally just gave up and paid what they wanted went to go get the car paid for it walked out to go get it and turned the key and check engine light was still on went in there told them they looked at it for 3 min and cleared the code and was told to come back in if it comes on and sure enough came back on 3 days latter took back in and still had to pay more money to get it fixed even though it was the same problem absolutely disgusted with them and never have had a worst experience in my life was treated so poorly! PLEASE DONT SERVICE OR BUY A CAR FROM THERE! warranty for ever yea right
Purchased a vehicle with 123000 miles for 2k above kelly blue book. then a day later i heard noises. banging over every bump. i took it back to their service department where i then had to spend 1,700 on repairs. finally. after 2 weeks of waiting for my car because they “couldn’t find the part” i get it back and drive it 40 feet where i then hear the same god awful banging. i then go inside where a service rep verifys that the same noise is there and is un drive able. after 3 more days i get my car back free of charge over a front bushing. a month later i’m driving down the road and for the first time i go above 70 my car does a wobble like i’m next to a semi. i look underneath and hidden under the car is a crack in the frame. i know you guys could see that while it was on the lift. definitely buyer beware kind of dealership don’t trust that safety 80 point inspection bs they try to sell you for free with the car.
Came to get a oil change and tire rotation, they put someone in front of me and I ended up having to wait 2 hours and 10 minutes and on top of it all he never rotated my tires because you could tell from the brake dust. Considering I came in and spent cash and bought two vehicles the same day I feel that the dealership really doesnt care about me
I will start by saying we have purchased a Ram Truck and a Telluride from VanDevere and we have been completely satisficed with them.However, more recently, I was looking to trade in my truck and looking at a Seltose SX. I was contacted and scheduled to meet at the dealership. Drove the hour to get there and was told they dont have one and dont know when theyll get one everything they had coming was already sold. Fast forward to to today. I m still looking and the new Trailblazer peaked my interest. Once again contacted yesterday scheduled an appointment for a test drive and drive the hour back again. Guess what! They dont have one to test drive its sold. I even verified my appt at 8:30am for 11:00am so as not to waste a trip. They have 3 coming someday. 2 are already sold and I wont promise to purchase a vehicle I cant even drive. I can honestly say I wont make the trip back to VanDevere because of the time and fuel thats been wasted due to their lack of courtesy.
This warranty forever is a joke. I came to this dealership because they have the warranty forever. Unfortunately I drove 45 minutes just to buy my vehicle. With gas prices and getting no discount at the dealership like most dealerships I decide to get my oil changed closer to home which they authorize. This past time calling they said they have no records of authorization so it cancelled out my warranty forever. Save your gas and shop for your car closer to home!
I had a 2016 kia soul l purchased over years numerous problems with car. After no serious help from the dealership when l purchased the vehicle. I thought l would be stuck with lemon car. I reached out to van devere Chevrolet they responded back we think we can help you. So l send all the info and the cars l wanted to test drive . 72 hrs later sales Zack Wallick and there team put me into the car l wanted. If you want service and salesman go see van devere Chevrolet.
Brian Newsom was great to work with from ordering my new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, to following it through delivery, to completing the paperwork and then spending time explaining all of the electronics and special features. I came into Van Devere Chevy absolutely lost. I had bought a Kia from Van Devere earlier in the year only to find a buck with my front end at 50 mph. I had gap insurance but no idea how it worked or how to go about getting a new vehicle. In came Justin Harris. My whole life I’ve always had a certain “less than favorable” view of your typical “salesman”. Well folks Mr. Harris is no ordinary salesman. He continuously went above and beyond for me. From helping figure out my gap claim to helping find what my next step in a vehicle should be. I told him what my price range was and what I needed. Being a father of four I need space, but I’m not committing to the minivan life just yet. Justin helped me find a Kia Sorento with a third row and I could not be happier. Justin saw me confused as all get out when I walked in the door and by the time I walked out I was confident in my decision and driving my nice new-to-me Sorento. For the rest of my life I will continue to give all of my business to Justin and those that are looking or in the same circumstance I will direct directly to him. Thank you Justin Harris again. You really did come through for me.
I went in on a Thursday (their late night) and the guy I delt with was so unprofessional. First told us to sit down then proceed to talk on his cell which rang after we were talking, then was looking things up on his computer that was not for me, then took another call from his desk phone and talked for another 10 min while I just sat there. He proceeded to tell me that certain vehicles are overpriced because they know people will pay due to the shortage. At the end I never looked at a car, never made a deal, and didnt even know what the value of my trade was until I was ready to walk away.
My salesman was Breeze,let me tell you this dude was hands down the best salesman that Ive ever delt with on a car lot.He kept it all the way 100.no hidden fees and he will not lead you on.he took his time to explain everything in the simplest way so you know hes not trying to take advantage of you. Hes a real classy guy and definitely about his business.the finance department was A1 too.when I do decide to buy another car or truck Ill definitely make that 2hr drive just to deal with the vandevere team again.This is the Arlington road location that speaking about.
Called about a 2013 Fiat 500 Turbo Cattiva on May 27th that I found on line. Talked to a Taylor. Sale pending. Called back May 6th. Cars available. Called back May 7th (today) at noon to test drive car. Drove an hour. Got there. Sat for 30 minutes. Car was already sold and they were coming to pick it up. Asked me if Id like to see anything else! I got up and left. If that wasnt a scam it sure felt like one. 2 hours round trip. Twenty bucks in gas. You draw your own conclusions. Ive already filled a complaint with the attorney General and intend to file another with the BBB. Keep in mind any response from them that doesnt address the facts directly is an admission of guilt.
The shop was great but a sales person never got back to me about trading my suv in Corey was nice but I left there feeling confused if he couldnt get the deal done he should of just said that thats why I gave five out of ten. I dont think Ill send anyone there at this point 😕

Did not fix 2/3 issues I had and made changes that I did not specify. This was the third time I had taken my truck for the same issue. Inconvenienced my schedule and when they parked my truck in their lot, they decided to leave my vehicle unlocked so anyone could get in. And they guarantee free car washes and they failed at that too. Their service consultants are clueless and almost robotic
Martha met us at the door on a cold Saturday morning with a smile asking what we were looking for. We told her which vehicle we saw on your website and she was quick to bring it up for the test drive. She did a great job of answering our questions and told us about the great family she works for. We are small business owners ourselves and feel we share the same values as the VanDeveres by treating our employees as family. We had a couple of managers stop by Marthas desk while she was busy getting our vehicle ready for us, they saw where we were from and told us the ties they had from our area. Went in there just looking around to get an idea and came out with a car. Joe Zavarelli did a great job not only making sure we liked the car but he made sure we were taken care the whole time. VanDeveres service team was great! They picked up my car to be serviced and dropped it back off within a few hours. I met 4 drivers and all were warm and friendly. Jake from service called me multiple times to keep me updated on the status of my vehicle. I was greatly impressed with the entire interaction.
My car was picked up from my place of work at around 9:00 Am for an oil change. I specified I need my car back no later than 4:00. They told me that would be no problem. At 3:40 I received a call that they were running a little behind but my car is finished and would be leaving shortly. I am approx 31 minutes away from the dealership. At 4:20 I called to check on whereabouts of my car. I was told it had not left yet as they were shorthanded and there drivers were still on other deliveries. I was also told walk ins are more important than those customers who use the valet service. At 4:36 Anthony called and said my car was leaving. At 5:09 I called and Anthony said my car is on its way. At 5:43 I called and was asked them to call the driver to find out where my car was. Finally my car arrived 2at 5:51 more than 2 hours after promised. The next day I talked to Sam Vandevere and he was very condescending and acted like it was no big deal. I missed a doctors appointment, 1 other meeting and was late to a third meeting because of their incompetence. Sam the owner offered nothing for my inconvenience. I finally asked for a free oil change and Sam begrudgingly said Im not going to argue over a $60 oil change I will mark down a free one on your next visit. His oil change is an exorbitant $84 for 20 - 30 minutes. The free oil change will be the last time I have anything to do with a company who advertises we dont treat you like a corporation we treat you like family. We if that is how you treat family I want no part of you. I was lied to numerous times and that is inexcusable for any business.

Update!!! I took my truck to another dealership and they literally had to redo the work that VanDevere did a year ago. I just need to let people know what my experience is with them.Please beware!!! I have bought a vehicle from here and I have had nothing But problems with it. The check engine comes on about every 5,000 miles or so and it throws the same code. Martha was fabulous!!! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the original truck we were looking at had bad rotors but new brakes. We obviously brought this to their attention and they stated that they rotated the rotors. Well im not a genius but I do know that when you replace the brakes you replace the rotors especially considering that they had dug in lines all the way around them. They told me they would look at them if they need changed then they will. Wrong answer they NEEDED it. So we passed on that truck but did land on another one. Again martha was wonderful she was patient and professional. Would highly recommend doing business with her. Thank you Martha!!!
This was my first time at Vandaveer Chevrolet and I must say that this was by far the best car buying experience I have EVER encountered. Our salesman Gage Wood was simply AMAZING!! He made everything so smooth and I really appreciated that because to be honest my patience is so short but everything moved right along for us and we were out in a decent amount of time. Gage even called enterprise rental to have them come pick up our rental from the dealership. Kudos to Gage Wood for his exceptional service. I would recommend anyone thinking about buying a car to go see Gage at Vandaveer Chevrolet.
Dropped off our car for an oil change and diagnostic at 730 on Wednesday the 2nd. We had an appointment, which we later told is just a time to drop it off, not any guarantee of when the work would start. I got a call at about 2 that afternoon asking how soon we needed the car back because they hadnt started on it yet and the bad weather was coming, so they might not have a chance to get to it the next day either, even though they had it all day from 730 am. I had to call the next day to find out what was happening. Never called me first, only to find out it still hadnt been worked on, now after 36+ hours. Several excuses, but no concrete answers. It was approximately noon on Friday before the car was done, 50+ hours for an oil change and diagnostic. Absolutely ridiculous, even allowing for the bad weather. The job should have high priority Thursday morning, not finally done Friday
They sold me a car on E and ever since then Ive been having nothing but problems with it. Only three days after I purchased the car, I almost had a passenger fall out! The door would come open when the window was rolled down and would not latch. I cant believe they would sell a car like that. Such a safety concern! They literally laughed in my face and said they never seen anything like that before. Then the engine light came on & I couldnt go to echeck for my tags! Had to get my car serviced a month after that! Then again the next month! When I picked my car up after being serviced, all my silver change was stolen out of my car!! Well over $10 worth of quarters. So warning, dont leave anything of any value in your car when dropping it off for service. I really question the integrity of this place. That is definitely not how you treat family. I dont even want to continue service with this dealership!
We had a child recovering from surgery so my wife and I couldn’t both go to the dealership. The car we were trading was in her name so she had to go. They did nothing but take advantage of her the entire time. When she called me I told the salesman where we expected to be on our trade and what we wanted to be at on monthly payments and down payments. He tells me ok and we get off the phone. Since they didn’t have the car we wanted he instead up sold her to a fancier model increasing our monthly payment 33%, increasing the down payment by $2000, and giving her 5000 under what I told them was our bottom dollar on the trade In of our car. Just dishonest pushy sales tactics on my nervous wife who was alone and couldn’t get me back on the phone. We will be working to undo this sale. Not impressed with VanDevere in the least. Don’t advertise all these amazing lease deals when you have none of the vehicles that qualify for them. And if someone tells you what their budget is, don’t go over it and increase other financial stipulations as well. Should my wife have walked out? Yes. But we know how persuasive and pushy salesmen are.
Such a pleasant experience at VanDevere Chevrolet. I had found a car that I was interested in at another dealership but they did not seem interested in selling me a car. Then I found one on the VanDevere website and we drove down to take it for a test drive. Gage was great! He has a nice personality and was knowledgeable about the car. His manager Shane was very friendly and helpful also. They let us take the car for the weekend and that really helped to make the decision to buy the car. The last couple times I have purchased a car it took hours to finalize the paperwork but this took less than an hour! The next time I am looking for a car i will definitely be back and i am referring my friends and family to VanDevere. Great job guys!
Went into the dealership looking to buy a truck. Allen Hubbard came over to work with me. Took a truck for a test drive and from there I was into finance and going down the road in no time. Allen was great to deal with. I will definitely do business with him again in the future.
Vandevere Chevy has done it again! I went in to get serviced and, as always, I felt like family when I got there. I spoke with salesman, Scott Vandevere, about maybe getting refinanced and into a newer vehicle. At no point did Scott rush me or pressure me. He was kind, polite, and professional; a real people person. He even provided complimentary coffee and snacks :)So during the time of servicing my vehicle, Scott walked me through my options and I was actually approved at a lower interest rate and now I’m in a newer vehicle with more features! What started out as a normal Friday getting an oil change, turned into a great day of laughs, fun, and savings!!! Thank you Scott, Kieth, and the Vandevere bunch for wowing me yet once again! Overall I was happy with my purchase although the young man that helped me should of had the full commission not the person that helped my wife 2 weeks earlier who did nothing to assist me at all. I think whatever policy they have in place is totally unfair. I also know I should of got more for my trade. At the end of the day I knew what I wanted and what I could handle for a payment. Several years ago I stopped in to get a vehicle and the finance Mgr drove me away being a bit greedy. It almost happened today, but he did come around a bit, but the young man Gage that helped me was awesome.
Everything was great, I was in and out of the dealer in less than 3 hours. Only thing that someone could complain about is when they washed the new truck they missed washing part of the rocker panel on driver side about the size of a dollar bill, but I wouldnt hold that against them because I myself have missed spots like that before washing my own vehicles. People were great, process was smooth and I told Martha that was the best experience Ive had with purchasing a new vehicle from any dealer Ive purchased from before.

I was looking to trade my car in had a fear of not being able to find something I wanted in my price range until I went to VanDevere Chevy! I worked with Billy Johnson an he was awesome! Tyler and the entire team were exceptional in every way! I couldnt ask for a more helpful and positive group. I went in thinking I knew what I wanted and when it wasnt the right car, Tyler stepped up and helped me find the perfect vehicle. I felt like I had first class treatment from him, Brian, and James. Going through the car buying process for the first time is overwhelming but they made it less so and were very helpful. It was ok. i was hoping to get my pickup cleaned while there. i asked for it to be done when i called to set all this up. no one told me it would not happen on saturday. i cleaned all the stuff out of my pickup to make it easy then nothing. they should have told be before hand. as far as the work, it seems to be fixed
Didnt get to test drive car. I did ask, but got put on hold. I use my car for down payment and didnt know I needed 2,000 more until all my paperwork was done and time to sign. I didnt have it, but was told my car was enough for down payment. Drive the car and struts and bearings was bad, but took it back for repairs and want to charge me 100$ for the warranty for life. But Im thinking I should be paying nothing. And no loner car as of yet, day number two without a car. I could understand if it was a as is car. I had the car a few days and problems right of the lot for a high price and high payments. That mean it should be reliable from the lot
Today I wanted to highlight my experience at VanDevere Chevy for years I have service my vehicles at VanDevere Buick and Chevy, but I had never purchased a vehicle there until July 1st after sitting down with Marguerite Myers. As you can see, I gave her 5 Stars and she deserved 10. She is a true professional and made the experience easy with no fuss. I came in prepared knowing my vehicles value and after being low balled at 2 other dealerships I didnt know what to expect. I didnt even mention that I had a bad experience elsewhere. They valued my Yukon XL appropriately. She listened and was able to meet my needs without the back and forth. On the test drive I felt like I was riding with one of my oldest friends. There was no pressure at all it was just an easy-going atmosphere. She matched my knowledge of the vehicle and the features; I was already sold on the Forever Warranty. I was surprised to find out that she only recently switched over into sales, she was so comfortable I thought she was a seasoned Vet. Within their team she received high praise and she gave it well; it was easy to go with the flow of things. I highly recommend Vandevere. I have been building up credit for last three years from a point where I stupidly wrecked it. Cory helped me and my girlfriend drive out of there with an awesome jeep and a Dodge Challenger. You cannot beat the service, or the price, and best of all, that forever warranty. Literally a free drive train/engine warranty forever for all cars under 100k miles. (I know it doesnt cover everything like the extended warranty, but they cover the expensive stuff for free, literally forever )... Id like to see ANYONE beat that. We had just come from an awful experience from a shady dealer (kdk In Brunswick) that ran my girlfriends credit without her authorization when we werent even there. It was so refreshing to deal with a salesman that was not on commission, not pushy, and totally honest and up front about the cars and any issues. It was an easy painless process and I will be glad to purchase here again. I didnt leave a review right away either, last time I did that for a car I bought a few years ago from KDK, they gave me a $50 gift card to give them a five star review before I drove off the lot, I then found out a week later there was $5000 worth of repairs needed on the car and even with the warranty had to fight them to get it fixed. I waited several days and no issues with the cars we got from vandevere expcept the jeep had a check engine light and they immediately had us bring it back in to check it and repair any issues. So as long as the service keeps being this good, this review will keep being 5 stars as they deserve.

Against my better judgement, I went to VanDevere. Having great credit I could have gone anywhere. My daughter and her dad chose a vehicle costing over $20k with over 48k miles, the same vehicle was on Carvana with 16k miles for the same price. Warning #1 that I was being taken advantage of. I have them a trade in, $4k cash and they wouldnt even put gas in my daughters car! Their statement say they want to exceed a customers expectation and after spending that type of money a $15 gas card or ring a bell instead the experience was sub par and the experience was awful like thanks for letting us take advantage of you and goodbye!!
After speaking with Mike about a truck that was online as told was available I drove an hour and 15 minutes to be told the truck was sold a while ago. I was also told that my truck would appraise for way more than what it said online and of course that was also a lie. Total waste of my day and time.
I was told I would be getting a ceramic wax and it was a normal wax. Not only was it a normal wax but the waxing job was terrible. There is chunks of wax all over the car and water spots everywhere. And the more important part is there’s two damage spots on the car. Which I happen to take pictures the day before and they were not there. I can tell they were from a machine and they both were filled with wax. I spent over $70,000 on this car and that was the poorest service I’ve ever seen. I will never bring my car to be serviced at your place again and you probably lost a future customer.
On December 23rd I had an appointment for an oil change lube and tire rotation. it was done and for the first time they told me my car was outside somewhere waiting after it was done. when I finally. much to my amazement it was filthy inside. I have the light colored beige interior and black handprints and grease and my steering wheel was a mess I know they were in a hurry to get to the food truck this was a first. and I wasnt happy.

Gage was great to deal with in sales, as were all the other people I interacted with there. Knowledgeable and friendly all around. They gave me what I expected on my trade-in, unlike another Chevy dealer I visited earlier in the day. The deal was quick amd easy. I highly recommend VanDevere Chevy.

I bought 3 vehicles from this dealership in the last 9 months and will no longer recommend this brand Chevrolet dealership to anyone. I recently had one of the two trucks in for service and the repairs I asked for were not completed. The service advisor was rude and did not listen to me. Service is a continuation of the sale so I cannot recommend. Also their claim that you are family? Well guess i am a red headed step child who was kicked to the curb. Be true to your words that is all you have in life. Hope you treat other veterans better.

They were nice when trying to get me down there saying they will with my credit that’s a lie the car I purchase stay giving me trouble push start doesn’t start sometimes transmission went out before the year was out high interest rate will never purchase from them again sorry.

I just bought a Toyota Tundra at VanDevere from Alex (Salesman) and Keith (Business Manager). Both were excellent folks to work with and were very personable. On top of it all, they were able to make a reasonable deal out of the transaction and get me in and out of there. Only reason for 4/5 stars is because the vehicle I bought still has some issues. However, the dealership says they’re going to work with me to get everything addressed in a timely manner. Wish the truck had been diagnosed ahead of time but overall great experience.
In a time when it’s tough to find a car and get straight answers, Justin at VanDevere was great to work with. He was extremely helpful. Upfront about timelines and what to expect and kept us in the loop. He was knowledgeable at the vehicles and knew the process inside and out. I highly recommend working with Justin.
I bought a 07 Trailblazer for $10,000 a few years back as an actual miles vehicle. When I just tried to sell it I was told that the the mileage was unverifiable and had been since around 2014 which was a few years before I bought it. Buyer beware!!!!!!! Purchased10/03/2016

I had an issue with my cruise control on my 2019 Buick Encore. I went to a different vandevere location on Vernon Odom and they brushed it off because the problem was intermittent. So called this location on west market and they were able to get me in ASAP and gave me a really nice loaner vehicle and fixed my issue. They kept me updated throughout the entire process and I was very pleased with everyone i worked with. Unfortunately I can remember his name but the main gentleman that handled my service request was very nice, respectful and honest. He is a great asset to the service department.
Great experience. Richie met us when we first got on lot. We told him what we needed and liked and he quickly found a vehicle that met those parameters. Through the whole experience he was friendly and efficient as were the rest of the staff we encountered. I’d highly recommend Van Devere.

We went here to buy a new car. Cole was HELPING US. He was very arrogant and self centered. He didnt even try to help us get near our terms. He basically had the take it or leave it attitude. He had the nerve to say I dont care if you buy the car. I can sell it to an employee here tomorrow and still get the credit for the sale. He repeated that twice. Is that how you sell a car? We left and bought the same car same year same color and the whole nine yards at another dealership that night. We will NEVER BUY A CAR AT VANDAVERE Ever !!!

2022-01-06It was a great experience all the time! My seller Joe Caspary was really patience with me since the day first. I was there before i got sick with covid so i had to stop the process but we shared numbers until I feel better and when I was ready I reach out to him again to start the search for my perfect budget car so he was working hard with financing to get me there where I want and with a car that I feel comfortable with. They take good care of their car, new tires, in great condition used cars with a bunch of benefits, warranty and service included like the warranty 4ever so you will get a repair or replacement on them for any fluid part in your car like engine, transmission etc. Thats a great deal! It was a pleasure do business with them, in particularly my experience with Joe Caspary was remarkable in the whole process and i finally had a great car in my hand with a payment that fit my budget and a warranty until I finish the whole car loan payment. Thank you again for all your help humble Joe!!

2022-02-12My saleswoman, Martha was out of this world awesome. Called her a week head of time to see what she could do about getting me a bigger and newer vehicle. Was nerves the whole process and she kept me sane/calm. Martha asked me some questions about my trade in and made it happen. She made the process simple and easy. I was in and out of the dealership in less time then when Im at a doctors appointment. 100 and 10 percent happy with my Chevy Equinox and my saleswoman. Thank you very much Martha. 2022-01-02Update 1/2/22: I had to reduce my rating by two stars.The car was delivered with one key, and they said they would find the second and give it to me after. During a process which was very slow and I constantly had to email and call for anything to happen, they couldn’t find the key. A new key is ~$550, and they said I’d have to pay $300. I’m not satisfied with the customer service, as it felt like pulling teeth to get anything done, and didn’t expect to be charge and an extra $300 after having payed that much money for a car.My suggestion for VanDevere is to either treat your customers like “family” or remove that part of your slogan.Original:We visited VanDevere Chevrolet with the hopes of finding our next commuter vehicle. The initial car we came to see didn’t work out, but the sales rep who helped us, Gage Wood, provided excellent service and found us a different vehicle that met our criteria and family needs. There were no pushy sales tactics or hidden fees, so this was by far one of the least painful car purchases we’ve had.We appreciate the good service from all employees and the calm atmosphere. Thank you all so much! Also, special thanks to Allen and Gage for keeping our kiddos energy levels up with snacks and drinks while we were getting the paper work done.We recommend coming here and working with Gage and Allen!

2022-01-25Beware of the finance department taking advantage of you on interest rates. This is how they earn a commission. Any rate they give you CAN BE LOWERED. If you can obtain your own financing. please do so! This place has terrible communication. I have been trying to reach a finance manager to get a refund on my extended warranty that I purchased before I trade-in my car. They will not respond. Go figure. Next step is the GM, then the VP then the president. If I do not get an answer, I will be forced to contact the Attorney Generals office, the BBB and to file a complaint with Chevy. So sad. One upside, I have never had an issue with the service department. They have always been great to work with.Updated: After leaving this review, my warranty was resolved in less than 24-hours by John. Thank you, John, for being the only one to be responsive. Review updated from 1 star to 3 star.

I always seem to be at the dealership for hours even when I have already made my decision. Working with Barry made the process seem to fly by. 2022-02-20The VanDevere Chevrolet Dealership on 1490 V Odom Blvd in Akron Ohio deserves 10 stars but the highest rating is 5 stars . I live about hrs away. I hunted for months for the right Truck to suit my needs. Sometimes the right vehicle was there but the Sales Person did not meet my expectations. This place is something special. Bob Berger is the General Manager however I did not meet him. But this review will tell him and everyone what makes them a notch above anyone else. Jonathan Alder Manager and Mark of Excellence Award winner was very kind, respectful and personable. He took time to know they buyer. Checking in many times to make sure all was well. When I walked up to the showroom to check in. A young man Gage Wood, would be my Sales person and handle what I planned to look and test drive. He answered all my questions and was very personable too! He could have passed me in when he found out I was looking to buy in the Price range of 15-20 grand for a truck. I had a trade and they valued it on the low side but we came to terms when they realized I was really here for a fair trade and purchase. I understand our “covid” market for the auto industry. Needless to say I closed the store down Gage was there from beginning to end. He was a great Salesperson and I’m honored I made my purchase through him. Please ask for him. So the last person was Keith Laramore, His title is Finance Manager. He got the best interest rate and walked me through everything. I did purchase a warranty for my vehicle. However there were other services he chose to not review because he knew my needs. Very knowledgeable, respectful and they all had a kindness and welcoming vibe that was so refreshing. Not once did I feel intimidated, talked down to. Sincerity, just real caring people. Please if your in need of purchasing a new or used vehicle. 2022-03-22I worked with Franklin Ragsdale he was the best sales person I could ever work with. This was my first time buying a car and me made my experience to perfect.
