I applied to purchase a semi truck over 3 weeks ago. I spoke with Mike Szulman and Amy Walick regarding purchase and financing. Its been over 3 weeks yet no credit pull, no answer I call and send emails no response she is never available nor in the office. If I could give this place a -5 I would definitely done so. Lastly, if u are looking for a truck to buy and great customer service this isnt the place i would recommend.
I dropped off truck called in by my company for repair on Thurs 11/1/18 at 3pm. They had rest of Thurs, all day Friday, and were open a half day on Saturday. Truck was left to sit on their lot, not even diagnosed. I had to follow up with them. No phone calls to me at all. They reopened Monday 11/6/18. Finally, took my truck into the shop for diagnosis around noon. Again, no phone call regarding status. Was told Monday evening (after I followed up). A part had to be ordered. Wed 11/8, I followed up in the morning and apparently there was a miscommunication between service and parts and the part had not been ordered. Again, no phone call to me, I followed up again Thursday (11/9/18) and part had arrived late that afternoon.I followed up Friday 11/9/18 morning, and same story, part was ordered looking to get truck in “this afternoon”. My dispatch gave them until 5pm at which time my truck was still sitting out in the parking lot.Dispatch told me to get the keys and roll out of there. They would get fixed somewhere else. When I asked the young service advisor why didn’t someone just tell the truth and say, “hey, we would love to help you, but it is going to take a “few days” before we can even look at it, let alone possibly fix it. Instead of hold my truck and income hostage for 9 days (11/1-11/9/18)”. The advisor just said “I wasn’t the one who initially wrote you up” and he seemed more than happy to get my keys and get me out of there. I feel I was very respectful and patient, and more than gave this place the benefit of the doubt. So I left after 9 days and a truck still in need of repair! Unless there is a major overhaul of how the service team communicates repair issues with their customers, I will never recommend this place to anyone or be a customer here again.On a side note, at Bakersfield Truck Center, a Freightliner dealership in Bakersfield, CA did fix my problem. The turnaround time? 3 1/2 hours!
On April 26th at about 2:00 in the morning, our semi shut off and wouldnt restart. After a service call to the break down site, we were told the truck would have to go to the dealership to be worked on. The night crew started at 3 pm. The technician that we got took a special interest in the issue and worked until close tracking the wiring issue, locating it and repairing the wiring harness. Thank you all so much for doing such a great job and helping us keep our dock time. Everyone was so friendly even though you were booked. Abby the office dog helped entertain us while we waited. Morning,Just wanting to give the gentlemen over a Valley frieghtliner a BIG ole shout out!!Ive been inn the trucking industries for 15 yrs.Valley frieghtliner came together as a TeamTaking my truck inn with a blowin transmission on a thursday at 2pm an had a new one inn by Friday nite at 7pm.Lots of hard work an determination was put forth. Mechanics stayed extra hours. Too completion of job was finalized.I was Very impressed and satisfied with the hard work throughout the company but also the respect that I was giving to me as a driver.Wish you all the best Thanks so much.special shout out too Mr. Gregg, Mr. Mark, an Mr Travis.Everything was complete thanks to yall hard work an determination.Have a bless day an be safeJames P. Overall its a pretty nice place. Some of the reviews i find unjust. I got here yesterday morning and they just got my truck in to look at. But one thing people seem to overlook is that it is a smaller shop with alot of local clients that have appts set to get stuff worked on. They worked hard to get my truck in seeing how i was a walk in appt. They staff is friendly, plenty of nearby hotels and food places. Im pleased with the overall service here. Would i like to get out sooner? Yes, but this is what happens in our line of work. Keep up the good work Valley Frieghtliner.
They kept the truck from Feb 14th till March 8th. Every single day they would tell us that the parts will arrive tomorrow, after 2 weeks of hearing that, they changed their story. They started saying that it will be FIXED tomorrow :D Guy named Jeff was the one that kept saying that. Parts were under warranty, so I bet they didnt really have a lot to earn from us. We lost the driver because he had to wait that long, and kept hoping that the truck will be done next day REALLY. This place is a JOKE, stay away from them!!! Specially if parts are under warranty, they will fix it - NEVER
Worst Freightliner service experience, EVER! 3 day wait, NEVER received a phone call from anyone concerning our truck repairs. We had to call and when we did, we could not get a straight answer and employees sounded like they did not want to be bothered.After our truck being there 3 days, when my wife asked to speak to the manager, he admitted he knew nothing about the status of our truck. Now I ask you, what dept. manager knows nothing about work being done in his department?This was all warranty work, and you would think they would have been all over it.As a team we lose between $400-$600 a day. The company we drive for loses several times that amount. Shops like this need to keep that in mind.We have dealt with other Freightliner shops, and this was by far the worst. If you have options, take your truck elsewhere.If I were the owner of this shop, I would be having a chat with my employees.
What a mistake picking this company. Dropped truck off Tuesday, November 21st with a check engine light on. I understood with Thanksgiving coming, they wouldnt get to it till Monday or Tuesday after the holiday, but didnt get it fixed the following week. Ridiculous! I should have check their reviews first. I would have taken it somewhere else. UGH!!!! December 7th 2017. After 16 days here, I finally pick up my truck.
Spent 2 days here for a coolant leak, 5 hours later in wv broke down, what do i see all that fresh coolant from this morning. waiting for a tow, the reason a coolant leak, put in a gallon to get to a safe place truck wont even hold that. Thanks for putting my safety in jeopardy and wasting my time and money.
Dont even think about coming here unless you have extra time and extra money.Dealer for Freightliner telling me after 3 hours labor for air governor they telling me j need air compressor that will be available Monday and j came Friday morning.Nice way to keep themselves busy and charge you more money they need to.If you dont have the part than who has it??????Plus that multiple people working on multiple trucks which can tell you a lot if you understand a bit mechanics.Better refer to the local shops than to get robbed.
Terrible service in the service department-they were told truck was needed and had a week to fix it-well they did not and when i asked why they shrugged there shoulders and said they were busy ok so when can you get truck running? again was told busy see what we can do -truck has been on site for a week,we had appointment and they did nothing.DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE
STAY AWAY!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!dont use them even if it would be your last chance. kept truck in a shop for almost a month! every day day same story, no parts, no time, will be ready tomorrow, they even didnt have oil to perform PM service on a truck. save your energy and time DONT USE THEM!

2022-06-22Passive aggressive service personnel. Came in for them to run the codes from my truck. Waited an hour, then asked how much longer. He said we dont just have people standing around doing nothing. Yeah, thanks buddy. I asked a simple question and you get all like that.Its probably worth your while to seek greener pastures than put up with that ignorance....follow up. The manager emailed me requesting a call back to rectify the situation. I called back within 20 minutes. He was in a meeting. I left my number and a message referring to this evaluation. 2 weeks later now...he never bothered to call. Clearly, this place has no interest in customer service.

2022-07-18People at parts department are very polite respectful and they work hard to find you the best match.I drive 2019 kenworth and I buy most of my parts from them, I wish they have more parts for kenworth or cross parts.But all in all they are great especially Jonathan he went above and beyond helping me finding the right part.Prices is very compatible vs kenworth dealer.Thank you guys for the excellent customer service

2022-05-22Local lumber company took a business class M2 to these guys for a exhaust system estimate. Wanted to charge them $5000 , including a rebuilt turbocharger. There was nothing wrong with the turbo. The flare had broken off the end of the exhaust pipe where it attaches to the turbo, a failure I see fairly often. I went to Perkins and got $166 worth of elbows, clamps and a new flare stub. In their defense I can see why the labor is so high, those straight truck Freightliners are miserable P.O.S. to work on. Take 1/4 of what you spend on a new Freightliner and rebuild a L-series Ford and leave that Consolidated Freightways junk on the dealer’s lot.

2022-07-23Took my truck to get repaired once I got it back I discovered that my dash cam had been stolen and of course they knew nothing of it and my truck was unlocked when I first got back into it. Thats bad business.

2020-10-19Great service Kristen got me set up with a great truck and very good financing with a great percentage rate. Definitely my place to buy trucks for as long as Im in the Trucking industry.

2021-12-03One star only because of the Rudy guy in parts department. He is horrible. Never had issues with any other person from parts department but that guy. Every time I call to order parts he is messed up my order or put me on hold for 15 minutes or more. That guy have some issues. Im sorry I have to give this review because of him since all other guys are great and helpful. Dont order from him.

2022-05-28Everything you need under one roof!If you own a truck, that is!!!Friendly staff and open late!and believe it or not most times they have the part on hand,and actually you get the right part,there might be a lot of places that sell parts for your truck at a discount but honestly do you have the time to research for part nubers,or do they fit?,could I use this or that instead? Give them a visit get your parts and get on the road where you belong not from counter to counter guessing.

2021-06-27I am not positive about the entire facility but 1 out of seven times Ive bought something from parts have been correct, I cant fathom it always being the computer fault.... Last time I go there, extra miles to get the right part equals how many times you will go there for it.But they will send you schematics for some things, that is the only reason its not a 1

IF it was couple days to get the parts for you, WE SAY hold on on it, we need it today and we kept looking around for same day part availability.1.If you mistakenly order the part and it came, plz pick up your phone and call us so we are aware of what was ordered and came to your facility.If you did not make a call, plz dont be ignorant accusing someone not to pick up the part.2. Even if we ordered a part and no longer need it, OR find better price, OR decide going another direction, WE ARE the customer and it is our RIGHT.Saying Im not going to serve you today BECAUSE you dont pick up your parts, without even notify the customer of part arrivals, is simply NOT acceptable.Service is #1 star just for this incident.
