I recently had the pleasure of working with Bailey in the office. He was so helpful with my daughters apartment. I just had to let everyone know that this community cares about the students that live here and as I parent I highly recommend it. Thank you for all you do!
The front office is professional in a timely manner. They made sure I felt safe and secure with all the things I needed to make my stay ideal. I love how everyone I have met is available to answer any questions. There should be a higher rating for this place of residency. I would trust this as a new home for anyone I cared and loved.
Living at the Edge has been amazing! It’s so close to campus which makes morning classes less of a struggle. The staff is nice, caring, and efficient! They go out of their way to make our lives easier/more exciting and it shows! It definitely gives what is supposed to be given!
My daughter just signed a lease at University Edge. We had a fabulous experience with the staff (Max Dawson, Jessica Bagdassarian, and Dylan Kuhn). We had driven in from Connecticut and they went out of their way to accommodate us. They were very knowledgeable and professional and went the extra mile to make sure my daughter was taken care of. I highly recommend them and the University Edge!
I currently have a daughter living at the edge and I can say it has been such an amazing experience for her. She has met some truly great people and the office staff is excellent. I have spoken to Jessica Johnson a few times and she has been nothing but helpful and professional every time. I will definitely be considering the Edge for my other two children.
I’ve been living at the edge for 3.5 years now and it’s been nothing but great to me and all of my friends. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Cardo has become one of my closest friends up at the front desk! He is always super happy and willing to help! the edge has been awesome to live in and I am looking forward to more experiences beforeI graduate!
Our son became aware that a roommate was needed at the Edge and the proccess to apply could not have been any easier. Jessica B. and Jessica J. were unbelievably helpful and we completed the application, were approved, and final confirmation was done in less than an hour. Speaking with helpful and knowledgable staff made the process go quickly and smoothly. Thanks ladies.
Called in to get some information to see my options for next fall, the prices are kinda high for being in Youngstown, but the apartments are very nice. I spoke with Jessica B and she was such a joy to speak to! The whole staff is very friendly and greeted me when I came in for a tour which was a great feeling!
The edge is an amazing place to be. Over the course of many years I have been involved in this community is certainly too much too grasp. The staff is very helpful and the people living in each phase are friendly. Personally, i feel as though, Jessica Johnson, helped me feel comfortable to live in these exclusive apartments. Even though the rent is a little expensive, I believe it is fairly worth it. In that being said, University Edge YSU, Shut up and take my money, This is the place to be!!! LOL
Living at University Edge has its pros and cons. When moving into the apartment on move-in-day I received my keys in a timely manner and my room was in good condition. But considering we pay over $700 in rent each month and that price is steadily increasing, the least I could ask is to have a working elevator in Edge 1. Coming from the grocery store and having to lag up 20 bags of grocery upstairs because the elevator is down again is a hassle. Also, anytime I receive a package I always receive it in a timely manner, never had any lost packages or mail. Lastly, whenever I have called the office or had any questions regarding the apartment I remember speaking with Jessica Johnson. She was very eager and helpful with finding a resolution to my problem or issue.
The Edge does the job for college living but the rent is too high. Other than that, the staff, especially Jess Johnson, has always been there to help with questions in the office! I appreciate all she does for the Edge community! I also love all of the events that occur throughout each week!
I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here. Unless you want to be close to campus. Being close to campus is probably the only good thing about living at edge. The walls are really thin so you legit hear everything someone is saying or doing university and under you, things break easily, The rent is way too high for one person alone and I think it is a scam the way they charge everyone different rates and everyone pays over $700 a month. Another thing was how unorganized they were when companies switched. If you do plan on living here sign one lease agreement and if you don’t like it don’t resign for the following year because you will be stuck with the apartment if you plan to move out!!
I’ve thinking about transferring to Youngstown State to be a little closer to home during a time of remote learning and the pandemic. With that, I have been actively looking into housing options at YSU. University edge seems to be an amazing student housing facility (according to many of my friends who live there). Jessica J has also been very helpful in answering every single one of my questions as well as giving me a run-down of the apartments, and I cannot wait to tour it & possibly live here next year!
Living at University Edge Apartments at YSU is truly a unique experience. It is close enough to campus to enjoy a nice walk past some construction, but can also enjoy the beautiful 4 seasons weather Ohio gives us. Jessica Johnson is an outstanding associate in the office where I enjoy picking up my packages from her and giving her my $700 rent checks. $700 may seem outrageous, but overall everything is included in your rent and the service department is top notch and will exceed all of your needs while living at the edge. Also, a special bonus for living here includes nightly security by the YSU police department! I have never felt more safe in my life!
Great place for students. My daughter lived here this fall. To the people calling the staff unprofessional during the pandemic this is not their fault. They do everything they can to the best of their ability. You need to READ your contract before signing! Hard working people and beautiful rooms!
I had to pick a spot to live asap, so a friend recommended the edge! So I called and spoke with Cardo, he set me up an appointment to tour the place, so we met. Cardo was very nice and very helpful and knew almost everything it is to know about the edge. I will have my keys for the month of March, he sold me on living there even tho the rent is pretty high seems like a cool place to meet people and hang out.
While I was looking into housing options for my cousin ( since she was interested in YSU) I had the pleasure of speaking with Jessica J. She was so helpful and friendly that I wanted to move in just to experience her amazing personality. She definitely should be the face of University Edge with all of her knowledge.
I just moved out of the Edge and it was such an amazing experience even thought it all had to come to an ending early because of COVID. The staff is amazing and goes above and beyond to create a fun atmosphere. They are all so nice and I wish I was graduating next year so I could stay another year.
The edge is a great fun place to live if you are looking for housing as an incoming student at YSU. However rent is expensive, $700 a month is too much. The front desk has been very helpful and friendly from my experience, Jessica Johnson, was and has been very helpful with any questions or inquiries.
Today I stopped by the office to renew my lease. Even though the line was wrapped down the hall all morning to renew your lease, the people in the office were so nice and friendly when helping me renew my lease. It was so simple and easy to renew, I am so excited i dont have to move my stuff out and also so excited that next year there will be no more electric overages!!! Shout out to April and all the other new people for making this place an awesome place to live!
I am going to be living at the edge this fall and it has been very pleasant making all my move in plans. The staff is very helpful! I spoke with Dominick Salazar and he was extremely personable and helped me with literally everything. I truly felt welcomed and that he was really listening to me. He sent me a follow up email with decorating diy ideas that related to what we spoke about and a link to clubs that were to do with my degree. He seemed to really care about me and my experience. He is 5 star worker and I hope to continue to work with him throughout the year.
This truly is a great place! Not only is its a great environment, but the staff is amazing!! I personally got to talk with Jessica J and she was so sweet and kind! She was super helpful and offered answers to all of my questions!! Overall so pleased with this company!!!
The staff were incredibly helpful and communicative! My agent answered all my questions and didnt beat around the bush about anything. They also did not pressure me to sign the lease immediately after the appointment, which was something I appreciated. Following the appointment, my agent and other members of the staff emailed and kept in touch to make sure I was satisfied with the service and able to figure out the lease. In addition, when I called with questions or concerns, my issues were resolved in minutes. All in all, Edge is doing it right when it comes to customer service.

The University Edge at YSU is spectacular. The staff, Sarah Matt and Dom are wonderful and very helpful and friendly. They deserve a raise for all of their hard work. The building is spotless and a great living environment. So happy that I renewed my lease for next year!!!
My daughter decided to live on campus this year, and chose university edge! Once she showed me university edge and all it has to offer I was very pleased! I am so happy that she is at edge and wouldnt want her to live anywhere else. She loves how close to campus she is, and that she can meet to many friendly people that live at edge! Would highly recommend checking it out!
Emily and Jess and Kari in the office are so nice! Every time I come into the office they’re the only ones who are welcoming! (The rest of the staff is eh) keep up the good work girls! Thanks for always putting on events, we appreciate it! Go live here and tour with one of them^^^
All the old 5 star reviews are about Dominick Salazar. Unfortunately he is gone now, and so has the 5 star quality of University Edge Youngstown if it was ever there. University Edge Youngstown is truly now a bad apartment complex. The new management is horrendous. We pay $600 a month for the wifi not to work sometimes. Hot water not to work once. and especially the elevator constantly not working. When we had to move back in for winter break the elevator was not working and we had to take huge suitcases up the stairs. And the elevator has not worked countless other times. The new management has been terrible and rude to us and no help when we needed it. There has always been some problem wrong with the building and we never seem to go more than 2 weeks without dealing with something
The Edge is an amazing place to call home. The staff is unbelievable! Maintaine Matt is always around to help fix whatever is needed. Dom Salazar, Sarah, and Lexi are always a friendly face to see and I am so happy I renewed my lease. I WOULD GIVE THEM A RAISE FOR THEIR HARD WORK!!!!
The Edge is a great place to work for and with. They care about the appearance of their buildings and strive to provide the students with a clean environment to live, study and entertain during their studies at YSU. Its no secret all of the office staff take pride in their jobs and provide the best possible service for all of the tenants (most of the office staff live on site). Dont be shy, stop in and see what I mean
I am going to be a freshman at YSU next year and have been looking for an apartment. My cousin lives here and I was very pleased with the apartments. Each bedroom has their own bathroom and closet. Each apartment also has a washed and dryer, it is a great apartment and I really hope to live here!
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS ON HERE BEFORE DECIDING IF YOU WANT TO LIVE HERE OR NOT!!!!!I was a resident from August 21-2017-June 21-2018At first I loved it just like most of the people who wrote reviews on here, but I shortly realized all the glamor of the fancy building and furniture was just a ploy to draw you in for a way over priced room. It all started the 3rd week of class when there was a leak in our ceiling that lead to a crack. Me and my roommates made a maintenance request. The next day maintenance was there but they just looked at it and said they would be in tomorrow to fix it. They never came back, it was still there when I left in June and I would put money on that it’s still there today. Then about mid November our furnace just stopped working. So we put in a maintenance request and they came up and they looked at it and unscrewed some thing and then screwed them back together but that didn’t fix the issue. So that cause our electric bill to be outrageously expensive because the air was always blowing trying to reach the temperature on the thermostat. As a college student I was greatly concerned for my health because at one point during the winter it was down to -15 and we had no heat. We had to use our oven just to get some sort of heat. I’m not sure if Sarah still works in the office but I went in the office and complained to her numerous times and she somehow would flip all the problems about the room on me and my roommates and when I complain about our electric bill 50 times or so she just gave me a pamphlet on how to conserve energy instead of looking into the problem. After my lease was over I got in the mail a bill worth over $7,000 because they lost receipts from the last couple months I stayed there so I had to pay that money again that way it wouldn’t get sent to collections. I thought that was all over until I got a call a couple months ago saying that I still owed money and they never received the check I sent. So long story short if you are looking for an apartment building that’s going to look after the well-being of your child please don’t choose the university edge. Also fun fact the enclave Is also owned by the same people so if you were looking into them for better services I wouldn’t expect it from there either.
Have been looking for a college apartment at ysu, and happened to drive by edge. I ended up taking a tour and their apartments are awesome. They don’t have an actual model, but the virtual tour helped. Their property is so nice, and they have great amenities, seriously pleased with my experience!
I initially gave a great review of university edge here in Youngstown, but after living here for a while now, it’s not that great. If you want to go over $120 as an apartment (or $30 a person) on your $100 utility cap WHILE most of the month you were on Winter break, then this place is for you! Also, if you wanna live in an apartment with no cable, BUT, still pay for it, then this place is for you!
My daughter attends YSU and resided at University Edge her Freshman Year. We immediately renewed for her Sophomore Year. The apartments are a step above the rest and at a great value. Most importantly, the staff at University Edge, have been wonderful to work with. I would definitely recommend University Edge to any parent looking for housing for their child.
My name is Hannah Bozzo and I will be living in the University Edge next year with 3 of my other friends. Going through the process was very stressful but with the help with Dominick and the rest of the University Edge crew they were very helpful with everything. I am excited and looking forward to living here!
Where do I begin? I was hired Jan 2, 2018 as a Leasing Manager. I quickly came to realize that this job would be a challenge shortly thereafter. I took the challenge in stride... The Residents are nice but dislike office staff. The property has a great Maintenance Team which make up 2 people, they are prompt, professional and get the jobs done that needs to be done. Where the challenge came in is with the Property Manager and the office staff. The girls who work the office are college students and are under-trained and poorly supervised, to no fault of their own; otherwise they are great people. The problems is with the overly confident, over zealous, ignorant Property Manager. She believes she is the best things to happen to University Edge and believes she is the best thing to happen to the Property. Although she is great at doing paper work and kissing the District Manager bum thats about it. I do not usually write reviews or call people out online, but I feel people need to know what they are involving themselves with. On 2/26/18 I was terminated for Performance related issues.(No real reasons other than we dont believe you are fit for this job.) I have been employed for less than 2 months. I find this very hard to be the reason.... The true reason is because I stood up to her and would not allow her to speak to me like I was some little kid who has no experience and no back bone. I never play the race card, but anytime I mentioned anything color related she snubbed her nose and made remarks such as They are Trash. People from around the student housing market and residences have confirmed these same actions in the past. Secondly... Training is poor at best, I absolutely enjoyed the online training and my trainer Shonda, what I lacked was the hands on in the office with the Property Manager. I was immediately with in 2 weeks thrown into projects I was not fully trained on. Anytime that I asked for help I was given smart ass responses. She has purposely done things to residents out of pure pettiness that I have had to resolve. I have tried to smooth over relationships with the office and Residents who didnt feel comfortable with asking the office for anything, coincidentally the majority of them were African American. Also, there was a situation that negatively affected a certain individual that was lightly handled by the Property Manager which involved a resident. I am not one to pull the race card, but in this scenario I am. The office is toxic and a new management team needs to be brought in to retain their resident base. The 4.8 rating would certainly be lower if more of the angry residents took the time to write a review, but the motto is only to attract those happy in the current situation. The property is beautiful with some great amenities, I wish I was given more of an opportunity and better training to see the full potential of what it could have been. I plan to contact a few people in regards to some of the situations. But please be weary when dealing with the Property Manager, READ YOUR LEASE!Update: They have since blocked me from Instagram where the majority of their followers are so I cannot share my experience. I will repost this review as many times as possible until something is done.
University Edge looks too good to be true. Because it is. Its looks nice from the outside looking in but has been a COMPLETE nightmare since the day we moved in. The first week the air condition was out, was compensated with room fans in 90 degree weather. Dont worry the winter months were on their way. Which welcomed frozen ice up our entire windows, and the surrounding windows and walls. Which then resulted in mold. Good times I tell ya. Not to mention the grass is never mowed, the halls are disgusting and filled with trash. It wouldnt be so bad but since the apartments are so reasonably price around $600 a piece why in the world would I ever ask for any of the amentities to actually be readily available. But wait, theres more, thrilling, I know. If youre worried about parking, you should be. Because the closest parking area that we are suppose to be parking in is the deck. Have fun carrying all those groceries & those late nights when you feel super safe in youngstown. If youre wondering if you havent figured out by reading this post I have had nothing but an awful experience with this place. The only great thing about this place is how nice and helpful the gentleman who fixes things when theyre broken. You can definitely tell his overworked and underpaid.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE!!! this place is nothing but a big scam!!!! Your better off finding somewhere else for a cheaper price also!!! Not worth the money they don’t value residents at all!!! Place always smells and is dirty nobody in the office helps with anything and things are always breaking for 800$ a month sounds crazzzzyy!!!
The management of this facility is terrible. They are very slow to repair anything that goes wrong. The doors are left unsecured. Once they get you in the building they continually increase the rent if you want to stay. Now they are forcing you into their insurance policy at $25 per month even though you are covered under your homeowners policy. They are non responsive to any inquiries and refuse to work to resolve issues. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for housing go somewhere else.
The other day I called with a few questions about the edge, the young lady who answered the phone was very kind and thoughtful as she answered all my questions - and I had a lot! She used my name during the call which I really liked and even used the things I said I was looking for when she was describing the apartments to me! I called several other places around Youngstown (of which I won’t name) and they did not treat me the way she did, some didn’t even ask for my basic information to keep up with me! Deffinetly considering the edge for my daughter next year!
I HATED LIVING AT EDGE. My problems started when I decided to live in this apartment. We took over a lease and had to come in too many times to sign stuff, some of my friends’ papers even got lost and they had to resign or their parents had to resend their information, which should not be happening since its all our personal information. Also. our $150 processing fee was a waste of money because when my friend sent in her stuff a second time, she gave them fake information and still passed the background check, which shows that they actually don’t do a background check. Also, we had each employee tell us something different when we needed to figure out getting our keys and moving in so we couldn’t move into our rooms and had 5 people’s worth of stuff stacked up in the living room since we couldn’t have our keys. When we moved in, we put in several maintenance requests regarding holes or scratches in the wall which are still not fixed even after a year of us living here. I literally have the number for edge on my favorites because I’ve had to call them almost every day. The elevator never works, we call them to get it fixed but it stops working the next hour especially when we need it. I’ve had to carry my heavy suitcases up 4 flights of stairs after EVERY BREAK because it doesn’t work. I also had to move out of this place carrying my stuff down 4 flights of stairs, which was absolutely horrible. I am still in pain from doing that and I don’t think that’s worth it. The elevator in the dorms are better than this place, I don’t think I ever remember them not working.I think the maintenance team needs to grow instead of having one person. I get that it’s hard to fix everything being one person, which is why the management should be smarter and hire more than one person for TWO BUILDINGS, its common sense. The Wifi stopped working plenty of times for me and when I called edge they gave me a number to call whose customer service was the worst. My fridge has also not been working so our food is either super frozen or its going bad since its leaking, they have come three times to fix it but that didn’t seem to work since its still broken. The place also stinks, there is never a time when I walk into this building without wanting to throw up with the nasty smell. I get that things stop working, but it is the properties responsibility to fix things right then or have a backup because I know they have enough money from all the rent they are getting from each overpriced apartment and from each overpriced building. The building structure is very flawed. Even though we have separate rooms, there is no such thing as privacy because we can hear everything going on in the room next to us, I can hear my roommates alarm in the morning or when she’s showering or when she’s talking on the phone.Another problem is the lack of parking. First when I moved in last summer, there was no parking lot so we had to park ALL THE WAY next to parking services and walk to the building. After they built the parking lot the pavement job is awful, my roommate got a flat tire. With the amount of people living here, there is not enough parking in front of the parking or next to the building or on the other side of phase 2 since we can only park on one side.I think moving in and out of this place is hard because there are no carts or trollies, it was SO MUCH easier to move in and out of the dorms. I wish management would tell everyone the same thing. We’ve had to deal with so much while studying for finals such as finding a place to live and packing everything in literally 2 days when we could be studying because we were not given the information before when we talked to them or they gave the wrong information. I feel like the service could be much more polite especially when we call to complain and we don’t get a nice response back. It is not our fault that the stuff is broken or that we are calling so many times. I wish I lived at the dorms again or another apartment because my experience at University Edge YSU was ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS.
Read your lease completely!! I take ownership of not fully reading the lease before co-signing for my 18 year old son, however, I have never seen a lease that takes all power from the co-signer and puts it in the hands of the 18 year old. By co-signing, my 18 year old can do what ever he pleases without my consent. He can re-up the lease for another year. He can commit me to a whole financial year without my knowledge. I know what some of you may be thinking, my son would never do that to me. My son would not typically either, because he has much more respect than that. Well, at 18, sometimes what sounds like a good idea, and sounds like a good deal, and because they are now adults, decisions that sound good come before having a discussion with your parent. Just one signature, 5 minutes, and everyone is committed to ANOTHER full year. The Edge ran this amazing deal to include electric in the cost of rent the following year. (Remember this deal occurs in the first few months of living here, in the honeymoon phase when everyone is getting along and loving it). The ploy is that you have to sign for another year in a specific time period to get this amazing deal.As time goes on, the roommates that you have been living with begin partying and destroying everything when you are not even there. There is nothing that can be done and what ever is broken is now your financial responsibility. Everything is split 4 ways no matter who does it. Electric is split 4 ways no matter who uses it. The only way out of the lease is to get on a list and pay $500.00. IF you can sublease you can get out of the situation.Bottom line.... read the lease fully!!! Dont make the same mistake I did. Again, I take responsibility for that, but again, I have NEVER seen a lease in all my 50 years and 4 children that give your 18 year old full financial control of your money without your consent. And once they have made a choice without you, you are committed to thousands of dollars!!!
I came into University Edge YSU on my transfer orientation day because I wasnt informed that there was zero housing available on-campus. I was very panicked and nervous but was told to check our University Edge. Upon entry, the leasing manager Dominick welcomed both my boyfriend and I with open arms and presented the whole leasing process in a very transparent and honest way. I signed my lease that day and just recently renewed for another year. I have zero regrets and am so happy that I made the decision to live here. Its affordable, do able, and so relaxing. I would strongly recommend that everyone sign a lease here for 2018 even if you dont have any roommates in mind!
Management has let trash pile up in the hallways to the point that you were unable to walk through them in the past. The elevators are always broken. Our mail is always opened before we receive it. We were without cable for over a month. We always received additional electricity charges on our rent, even during the winter months when none of us were there. Definitely wouldnt recommend.
The Edge is almost like my second home, I’m always visiting family and friends that live there. This place is set up for the perfect ideal living for any college student with plenty of space and never congested make it great for any visitors or people looking to move in!! Love the Edge!!!🎉🎉👍🏼👍🏼
Nothing ever works here and we never get our money back for when things do not work. The cable was down for a long period of time and we never received any checks during then. Even if I do not receive checks that is ok, I just would like things to work more often. As a student I would like to focus on school, but there is always some water, cable, elevator, door, or whatever problem that comes up in the building. Whenever I talk to building management abut it they make it seem like it is my fault that is going on. I really dont appreciate how slow they are too our needs. I heard that they only have 2 maintenance workers and that does not seem to be enough. The rent is also a weirdly different number every time. I do not know if it utilities or what. That doesnt make it the easiest to pay bills. overall living here is a stressful experience and I really wish I chose to live somewhere else.
I believe the edge can be a wonderful place. I don’t know what’s going on inside of the staff or what’s going on inside the books but it’s no way to mistreat college students. The edge looked wonderful I mean it is until the elevator breaks down every 3 hours. When stuff happens on their end of the stick we don’t get any type of credit to our accounts we were out of cable for a month; and only got a note saying “sorry we are working to get this back on we don’t have no estimated time on when just know we are working” parking is horrible students just come park, and leave they cars we don’t have no type of designated parking when WE! live there. Anyone can park in our lots. They have a big huge parking lot but it says “no overnight parking” and on the parking side it’s only about 120 spots. It’s about 500-700 people that stay in the edge we need parking. We pay to much to not have designated parking. Electrical hardware is always down for about 4-5 days. When you call the office about something they say “we don’t handle that but I can give you the number to call” they are unprofessional. Rent is spotty never know if it’s going to change or not. Your Conservice bill is never exact I have to call now because something is drastically wrong with my account balance. Honestly if the edge got better services to help college student better it would be fine but they don’t care they just trying to get their money; and I understand that but have a meaning to help students want to succeed we already stressed and going through it with College not trying to have this over our heads also.
They literally bug the living stew out of you. You can’t even call to get a price quote without them taking down all your info so they can call at least twice per week to try to force you to sign the lease. I would’ve signed had they not gone up on their prices-I know plenty people who pay $30-$50 less per month than what they quote people now. As a college student, paying that much for rent is just not an option for me.
I would NOT recommend living at this apartment complex. The upper management is not willing to accommodate their residents in the slightest. They are rude and not willing to put any extra effort into solving problems. The only thing they are sufficient at is, telling you how much you owe every month. The apartment complex is overall dirty and theres trash laying around everywhere. There is no parking, and if you do park on the property, you are fined with a $100 ticket. You will also go over your electric every month, even if your apartment is empty. There are WAY better options for living on campus, so if you are thinking about living here, dont.
I originally entered the office after making a wrong turn and seeking directional help, but right through the front doors a little lady, whos name I later learned was Lexie, caught my eye. Dont let her young looks fool you, she means business! I used to attend college elsewhere, but after the conversation I had with her, Ive decided to switch to YSU and live in the University Edge. Shes the whole package! Eager to help, hardworking, gorgeous, kind. If you want to learn what being at home really feels like, go see Lexie at the Edge! Thanks again Lexie, loving the new place!
Do not stay here. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Place is pretty much almost a scam. They force you to live with people and if you dont like your living arrangement that you were forced in, then you have to pay to move elsewhere. Extremely overpriced, had to pay extra for electric even when no one was in the apartment over breaks. Ask to see the meter for your bill and suddenly its unavailable. No parking and rude management who act like its going to kill them to accommodate you. However, there was one person believe his name was Dominick that worked there that I didnt meet til the end that tried his best to help me. However, I would never live here ever again, I think theres better options around campus that are a lot less expensive and worth it.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! THESE REVIEWS ARE A LIE.horrible workers told me if I wrote a 5 star review they would unlock my room for free.... a couple days later I realized its ALWAYS free to unlock my room if its during office hours/during the day. Sarah is absolutely full of herself and complains whenever a package comes and discriminates. The elevator works once a month. I sit in the dark and in the cold and somehow my apartment as a whole goes over electricity allowance by 150$ A MONTH, i dont pay this much in my 2500 sq foot home. Hot water... lol forget about it. Paper thin walls make studying impossible. youre better off sleeping in Moser hall.
I moved in here last year, and will never live there again! There was black mold on my windows, the people in the office were extremely rude, and always just wanted to let you know how much money you owe, but when there was a problem they made every excuse under the sun as to why they couldnt help you. There is absolutely NO parking!! They claim its the universities fault, but when you talk to the university about it, they claim its not their doing. When there is something wrong and you tell them they claim theyll note the account but in the end they end up charging you for it anyway. The only approachable on that works there is the maintenance man. My apartment has flooded, the elevator breaks often, there was no heat, there was no air. I had a handicap sticker and still got a ticket and then the parking spots taken away. If I were you Id save my money and find somewhere else to go!
I am considering letting my daughter move here next year as she decides if she’s going to transfer to YSU and I called to get some information on the apartments and the safety of them. I was pleased to find out that the building is secure and campus police even potrol the buildings. Deffinetly having my daughter move here next year.
Place is a scam, would rather live back at the courtyards. Parking situation is terrible. Not to mention being in the “new” second building, room already had damage to it. Somehow, someway you find a way to go over your electric bill when you’re barely here. If I’m not mistaken there’s one router for WiFi to support two buildings because the WiFi is TERRIBLE. Place wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t so pricey. In this case you DO NOT get what you pay for, save your money.
PARENTS BEWARE... If you choose to have your student rent from the University Edge read all paperwork carefully before you sign it. Once you sign as the Guaranty of Resident Obligations form, it can carry over endlessly without your approval. Therefore, your student can resign their lease without your approval or consent making your financially responsible for another year. They begin hounding students in September about resigning for the following year with threats of increasing monthly rent each few weeks the new lease goes unsigned. They make the students feel obligated to resign and once they do, you are locked in. There were also other issues with trash removal and mold around windows that create an unhealthy environment. I love YSU, but do not recommend these apartments.
I dropped my daughter off over the weekend and the lawn in front of the apartments were trashed from the weekend. Last I talked to her it was still a mess two days later. The hallways had beer bottles left out and the common area had pizza boxes left out.We pay way too much for this type of thing not to be monitored.Very disappointed both in the students and the Edge management.

2022-03-03My experience has been amazing so far. My daughter is going to be a freshman this coming fall 2022. These days have been hectic and stressful, but the super friendly Edge staff has taken some of that stress away. They have been extremely cooperative and answer questions immediately. I have not 1 complaint.
