United States Postal Service in other cities:
This post office is chronically understaffed. I waited 50 minutes this morning because there was only one employee who was helping customers ship packages, and the self service machine is still not working. The employee was outstanding! Very helpful, but the poor man is going to be exhausted if he doesnt get help.
Time at post office so far: 20 minutes. Worker vacuuming next to me while there are 10 people behind me. Slowest possible worker left as only cashier during busy lunch period. Self service machine still not working—Same as last two times I was here.0/10 stars if I could
I had been waiting on a package all day. I was at home all day. I received no mail, let alone a package. It says that they attempted to deliver the package when I go online to check the tracking number... No they didnt! No mail, no knock, no paper to let me know they tried. Apparently its now being held at the post office, per customer request. I never made this request. Its not exactly a package they cant leave behind. In fact, they left this sort of package behind before?? Its small enough to fit in my mailbox anyway. So I guess I have to go pick up my packages now, as for whatever reason they are choosing not to deliver them. Seriously?
Best post office Ive interacted with that works for my business. Packages almost always start tracking within a few hours without asking for a receipt, which is much better than the Post office off Nicholas drive that often does not start tracking packages until days later which negatively effects my shipping time.
I dropped off a package 7/7/16 with the return label provided by the company it was being returned to. It is 7/28 and the company still has yet to receive my return. I have tried to call the Post Office for a couple weeks and it stays busy, called another location to see if there was another number I could contact this location at only to be given a fax number. I finally made contact with the office and spoke to a female to help with me needing to find my tracking number/receipt from this return bc I accidentally threw it away. I gave her the date I came in, the time and the worker in whom I had process my package. She said they could find this info out but would take some time. I understand I cant get the info over-night...we are now two weeks later and I have had no call back or voicemail. I tried to call this location today again to follow-up and it rings busy. My package I returned is $250, thankfully the merchant is issuing me a full credit on Sat if they have not received my package and will handle the issue behind the seen from there. I dont understand how this is a place of business and the phone line is always busy.
They lost a package I dropped off inside the post office, not one i dropped into a mail box. Then when i asked them about it, they said that the tracking number belonged to UPS and I should talk to them. Even though the tracking number clearly looks like ever other tracking number from the USPS and i paid the postage and received the number from them.
I wish i could give this post office less than one star. HORRIBLE wait times, slowest service Ive ever encountered in my life. The employees dont even *try* to expedite the lines. Theyll walk away from the sales counter with lines out the door, never even saying Ill be back in moment, or explaining where theyre going, or why, or for how long. I spend a minimum of 30 minutes there every time -- and thats on a good day! To make matters worse, they never answer the phone! I just tried to call this branch and spent 4 minutes letting it ring, before someone picked up the phone and hung up!! Horrendous!
At 8 months pregnant, I recently fell down the south steps. They are hazardous and uneven with sunken sidewalk at the bottom. We called to report it to the post office, and the line is always busy. We emailed the postmaster and got no reply. My doctor sent me to the hospital for monitoring, and this is a major injury waiting to happen.
Absolutely the worst USPS I have ever been in. How disappointing. The customer service was incorrigible and I was talked to like a child. Who would have thought that asking for tape was like asking for him to give me a free plane ticket around the world. “This isn’t UPS or Fedex”. Well, it is a good thing a certain private company is keeping this government agency afloat. Management here needs to be flipped and this place needs to be turned around.
We use to have a regular postman until about six months again and now our neighborhood is assigned to random carriers each day, so the service is inconsistent. Also, it appears that more than once, who ever was assigned on a Friday night skipped many of our houses and cut out early. The worse part is, I had a tracked package that was suppose to arrive last Friday and I received an email from the tracking service saying there was an attempted delivery at 7:23pm when there was not (we were home). Kind of annoying when you pay extra for expedited shipping. We never had any issues with the original carrier who knew the neighborhood and was actually pretty good at his job. Now we get random, crappy service (when theyre not skipping our houses).
Terrible! I pay a very healthy fee to maintain a P.O. Box here and I am not getting important mail delivered, in fact, NO mail! There is no available telephone contact; only the national number and they have no agents answering phones! What happened to Rain, Sleet and Dark of night?? There is no excuse for this...
I mailed out two packages from this branch - one to Roy, Utah for a delivery date of 12/19/12 and one to Conneaut, Ohio with a delivery date of 02/13/12; both with delivery confirmation. The package to Utah contained Christmas presents amounting to approx $200. BOTH packages NEVER arrived!!!! Now I have lost about $290.00 total and these people dont even care. Part of the Conneaut, Ohio mailing package was returned back to ME in the mail, all sliced up! This is ridiculous... the staff at this branch is rude and dispassionate!
I dont live near this PO, I dont even live in AL, but I know this PO is horrible. I sent in paperwork for a scholarship and may be denied because this PO is holding it due to it being closed for 7 days straight for some reason. Doesnt help that I paid for premium shipping to get it there on time.

2022-07-08Had an incredibly positive experience here. I had a lost package and made a report online, and that same day I received a follow up call. After asking some diagnostic questions, the lady on the phone said she would reach out to the carrier. When I checked my mail box that night, my package had arrived. The next day, they called back to make sure I got it. I am very thankful for the successful delivery of my package!

2022-03-04I never go out of my way to write reviews, but needed to share my awful experience at this post office. I live in Powell and absolutely love the service I get at the USPS location there. I had an appointment in Worthington today, and decided to stop by this location to return a package. There was only one lady working, and she was rude to the 3 people in front of me, one who happened to be a lady who was hard of hearing. She practically yelled at her before figuring out the woman couldn’t hear her. I tried to be understanding when it was my turn, but she was rude to me as well. I had asked her if I needed to do anything else packing wise for my return, and she sarcastically answered that she would hope I’d ask for a receipt in case my package went missing. Terrible experience and parking there is horrible. Definitely won’t be back.

2022-03-14There is a new lady here who is EXTREMELY rude to everyone. I understand hating your job but you dont have to take it out on everyone else. She is sarcastic in a negative way, almost mocking people, I come to this post office frequently a few times a week and every time she is rude. Her behavior is not a one time experience or a “bad day.” Every day for her is bad and I am so close to speaking up while there.

2022-04-09WATCH! USPS now! Even though they say the flat rate boxes are charged at a one-time fee. They are NOW over charging and trying to say it wasn’t sent in one of their boxes. Even though it was used. They charged $21.85 for the large flat rate box. Then when it was shipped and the customer received it. They charged our account an additional $60.60. REALLY! Then when you try to email or even call them. There is NO response. ALL automated! Left several emails and calls over the last 3 weeks with NO RESPONSE! POOR SERVICE USPS! SO ALL OF YOU WATCH OUT FOR THIS! See picture!

2021-11-25They should honestly close this branch. I have time sensitive packages delivered. I have repeatedly had to chase the mailman down the street to get my packages, or numerous times will mark package undeliverable because he is too lazy to walk 10 ft to the front door. Normally to get my packages I have to be standing at my mailbox. Its impossible to get through to the post master at this branch, so filing a complaint is useless as the people that work here.

2020-09-05There was only one person on counter who was working patiently.

2020-07-31I was in this post office for over 45 minutes. I only needed to buy post card stamps. I was told they only sold regular stamps at one counter and to get other stamps at another counter. One customer took over 45 minutes in her dealings at the counter I was waiting on. Terribly understaffed. A young person came in not wearing a mask to get regular stamps. I was provided with stool to sit on due to my disability. I felt very uncomfortable being inside for this long. It is the first time I have been inside any establishment since COVID-19 pandemic. NOTE: I was unable to purchase these post card stamps on line or definitely would have.

2021-06-08I would give zero stars if I could. The old guy with long hair was rude to elderly women ahead of me. Rude to me as well. As a paying customer I atleast hope to not deal with snide remarks. This guy was less than mediocre.

2021-06-08I had gotten somebody else’s mail. I wanted to make sure they got it so I brought it to the post office. The girl was rude and told me to go to a different post office. I’ve been going to this post office for 18 Years. I don’t understand why I would have to go to a different post office to drop some thing off.

2017-02-24I really like the 597 High Street location, they generally have 2 people at the front desk, sometimes 3 people but during lower traffic times they generally have only one. They also have a do it yourself kiosk that you can use when the line is backed up. I have never had a problem with a missing package or a lost item going out, and they are always friendly and willing to help with any problems or concerns I have had. When writing a review most people dont take into consideration that it isnt really the post offices fault if there is a long line and under staffed because its not like they know when you are going to try to ship something. Over all I would really give it 4.5 stars because sometimes they are short staffed and cant answer the phone or dont but they are way better than most of the post offices I have frequented running a small business.
