Every time a package is supposed to be delivered on a Sunday and it is sent to this post office they mark it as undeliverable. I’ve always had bad experiences here. They lost over 30 of my wedding invitations and then told me to resend them. The people in this branch are rude and not friendly and the lines are always long and ridiculous. I don’t recommend this location.
I stopped in to obtain a Passport Photo. The staff here is always very nice. They actually smile at you compare to some other locations! The young woman that was taking the picture was dressed beautifully for Valentines day. Unfortunately I didnt get her name. She went out of her way to try and get the picture just perfect. But the camera had issues. The background appeared darker then is allowed for passports. The postal clerk, a man, came over to me and handed me the photo and said they couldnt get the picture any lighter. Something with the camera. They didnt charge me and apologized for the time trying to get it right. It was the genuine attempt to help me and do her best that I really appreciated.
Today is the third time in as many months that Ive seen a car parked nose-in to the postal building back into the car parked directly behind (facing North/South). CRASH! CRUNCH! Two spotless cars now hopelessly blemished. So sad. Just like a Demolition Derby, car accidents happen every couple days in this poorly planned parking lot. Theoretically, there may be ample room for cars to back out of their nose-in (facing East/West) spots and not ram into cars parked to their rear, but realistically there is obviously not enough space. And drivers dont always pay enough attention thus accidents happen. But Rocky River Post Office definitely has the power to prevent these fender benders! If the Post Office truly cared about their clientele theyd either use orange cones to block off the too-close parking spots which face North/South, OR, completely eliminate those first spaces by painting over the yellow lines with black paint. The solution is hardly rocket science, and it will stop unnecessary car damage, insurance claims, and frustration. PLUS, it will make it a much better day for the inevitable future post-office-parking-lot car dent victims.
Easily the worst people on the planet. I scheduled online a passport appointment for 3:45pm and showed up promptly at 3:30pm. When I finally was able to speak to someone they informed me that the employee who takes care of the passports was on lunch and it would be over an hour wait. Who would take lunch during someones previously scheduled appointment??? And the only response I had from the rude woman at the counter was... You gonna wait or nah? Unacceptable and I cant wait to never use them again.
Very friendly staff! Just a little frustrated that I mailed my wedding invitations through this PO and quite a few people didnt receive their invitations. I missed them at my wedding. I also spent money on those stamps! I thought maybe because I was dropping off 20-30 invites at a time, that caused the issue. However Ive mailed two other items individually that did not get to their destination. I get very nervous when it comes to sending money/checks via mail. I hate giving bad reviews, but its disappointing. Ive never had any issues like this with my hometown PO, so if I can, I wait to send it through them.
Would give it zero stars if I could! Lady at the front desk in the morning was unbelievably nasty to me. I’ve never been to this post office before and the first thing this lady does is berate and lecture me about how I stood in the line wrong, then she asks for my license and tells me my address is wrong and I need a card from the DMV with address change- which I have, and tried to give her, but she would not let me get a word out to tell her. THEN after these rude comments she tells me my package isn’t there, which my tracking shows it clearly is. She tells me to stand to the side and wait, which I do, then proceeds to ignore me and help other customers until I ended up walking out. I’m in shock at how rude she was to me for no reason, as I always go out of my way to be nice to any service worker! If she hates her job so much she wouldn’t be there.
Really bad customer service. Usually a line out to the street, seem like lazy workers or maybe just bad training. If it’s anything needed outside of buying stamps or extra postage, they ask for a supervisor who never shows up - just hides in the back apparently. You’d think it’d be better for such a nice area, but it totally sucks.
Worst post office ever. They accused me of stealing a box that was purchased with my postage. Sent my box back to sender and inconvenienced myself and the person I was mailing to. I wouldn’t ever trust this post office again even after they corrected my original situation.
Rocky river post office lost my package.Supervisor was very rude and not helpful. She acted like I was wasting her time , complete with eye rolling and speaking over me.She fit the black stereotype of rudeness and acting ghetto..and thats the truth, quite a shame what this rocky river post office has become...but Its called affirmative action and thats the law.Giving someone a job, based on skin color and not on performance.

2019-03-11Lines here can be highly variable, but service is almost always friendly. Think you have what it takes to be an elite delivery driver for the USPS? Take a couple extra minutes to do a spin through the driver training course on the far side of the parking lot and find out.

2020-12-15I never thought I’d be reviewing a post office, but I feel compelled to share my experience. After 2 panic-attack inducing visits to the Lakewood post office I decided to try the rocky river office to send out my last Christmas packages. I was shocked at the level of efficiency, professionalism, and over-all pleasantness I encountered during my brief visit. The ladies working behind the desk were so kind, helpful and quick which made the line move fast. Total night and day difference from the Lakewood office. Thank you!

2021-11-10Do Not Go Here! The wait to get anything done is absurdly long, even by lethargic USPS standards. I love and support my U.S. postal service workers, but I also love not wasting 30-45 minutes of my time waiting in line.

2021-05-08From the mail delivery to the customer service my important mail and some packages come up missing. Then when you file a complaint nothing seems to ever get resolved. Fraudulent activity is whats going on here. Why the informed online mail if you never receive what’s important just junk mail! I THIS POST OFFICE IS SO CROOKED YOU CANT EVEN LEAVE A REVIEW ON FACEBOOK FOR THIS LOCATION !

2020-01-14Went in mailing a priority mail box and was not prepared. My label was printed, but I didnt have anything to attach it to the box and I figured Id have to buy tape there or at best an annoyed employee would give me a roll of tape to use. Instead, one of the workers came out and first, helped me fold the box a lot quicker than I would have, and second, attached my label to the box for me. Saved me money on tape and was just a really nice gesture. Overall great experience and will come back to this post office for the service alone.

2021-05-20I dont live in Rocky River anymore, but I still go to this post office because they have clerks who are professional, courteous, and efficient. Even when there is a line, I am happy to wait because I know I will be dealing with a friendly, helpful clerk when it is my turn.

She told I had to make a photo copy of every document.I had to take another appointment and they canceled it.I went the next day to Lakewood office and they helped me with everything with copying any thing.

2020-02-05This in incident happened on February 5th, 2020. I was in line with a few other people and this man come back inside because he forgot to take a picture of his package for one of his customers that he sold to on eBay. One of the clerks was being so rude and loud that he wasn’t allowed to take a picture in a federal building. He didn’t know that, probably like most people wouldn’t... he was going to put the package back and the women kept yelling at him. I could tell that made him embarrassed and that white clerk should be ashamed of herself. Bad customer service. Try being nicer to customers next time hun. I have reported the incident.
