United States Postal Service in other cities:
I called to ask about a case that was created to help ensure a package that I ordered would be held at the Lakewood post office. The guy tried to push the problem off on his supervisor by having me call at 10am;he acted as if he were busy and annoyed bc he had to turn on his computer. I explained the report was created via USPS and not through the local Lakewood USPS dpt. He became annoyed with me, while he tracked my package. I understand it can be frustrating, however as a customer, the last thing I want to do is make someones job harder, but I dont deserve the tone of voice I received while calling.
These people are awful and I wish most of them horrible lives. I had a very expensive package come in from Indonesia with a slight misspelling on the street name so it was returned to sender, I got to the post office the same day the package arrived and tried to intercept it before it was sent back and they more or less told me I was out of luck and there was nothing I could do in the rudest way possible. How could it be gone forever in a matter of hours? Could it not have been sitting in a back room, or sent somewhere that I could have called and intercepted it there. I did call all around to all the places it could have gone with no luck also, most of them told me it was probably still sitting at the Lakewood post office. I will never have anything of any consequence sent USPS again, I am glad that they are failing and hope these rude employees lose their jobs. Ive never been so close to completely losing it and having the police called on me for flipping out, but I held it in so it was not this secret rage that caused them to basically tell me off. Useless people.
My concern is mail delivery. I was expecting 3 pieces of mail today. The mail carrier took my outgoing mail from my mailbox and placed 2 of the three pieces into my mailbox. I looked at the tracking and for the third piece, which was a small bottle of medication i need desperately. The tracking info said that delivery if my pills was attempted but the delivery area was not accessible. How was it inaccessible when my outgoing mail was taken from and my new mail was placed in the exact same delivery area? Those pills are very important and they are a controlled substance. I suspect they were stolen. Please help!
Still haven’t received my mail. Called pretty much have gotten lied too just to avoid doing their job. Waited on a call that I never received pertaining to why I haven’t received my mail. I still don’t have my checks that came through the mail! They tell me informed delivery is a waste. They also told me that they don’t have any contact information for post master. Then tell me to speak with a manager in which he ducked and doge. Now I have to contact the irs about my check and have it tracked. Still haven’t received mail from last year!!! Nothing was resolved!
Truly wish I could give this one zero stars. Horrendous service-completely apathetic. The woman behind the counter seemed annoyed she had a job let alone had to wait on people. I’ve used other USPS offices before with no issue. Today I’m told I have the wrong label - not true Ive used the same weight label to ship an identical product. I even double checked when I got home I had the right dimensions and weight on the usps calculator. Absolutely no consistency in pricing, just seems like they are charging whatever they feel like given the day. A complete waste of time and money.
Constantly misdelivers mail. At least once a week I get mail intended for a completely different street. Not even close.I know for a fact I am missing mail as well, since not everything in my informed delivery emails make it to me.One of the worst post offices in the country. They needs to be turned off and turned back on again.
Night drop box is frequently out of service. The line moves at a snails pace. Usually only 1 clerk at the counter while the line is to the door. Rocky River post office is usually much quicker.***Lets expand on my initial review since theyve decided to do absolutely nothing to solve any of the issues people have with this place. They frequently make delivery attempts that never took place. My business was open from 8a-5p. They made a delivery attempt at 1p. My regular mail arrived at that time, but the courier clearly left my packages in the vehicle without bringing them. The packages were either preemptively scanned and left in the vehicle, or scanned it after the courier got back to their vehicle when they realized they had forgotten to deliver the package. Rather than making another delivery attempt, the status of my delivery was changed to held for pickup at the request of the customer - a lie. There was no delivery attempt. I did not request my package to be held for pickup. I did pay to have it delivered, after all! If I wanted to get in my car and make a trip to go get these items locally, I would have! This post office needs to be audited.
I hate having to go inside here. I feel that anytime I need to have any interaction behind the counter with the lady there, I am met with an attitude. I had a misunderstanding on a label and she immediately was rude to me. At this point Id rather go somewhere else than deal with constant rude behavior.
The facility was clean and lines were acceptable for a USPS facility but one of the staff members was very rude to an elderly couple that were trying to purchase a money order. In addition to this incident I witnessed, the staff member assisting me was not familiar with the correct procedure for shipping batteries.Back to Rocky River I go, I live around the corner but the service there make it worth the trip (+10 mins each way). Good customer service is worth the trip.
Gale went above and beyond for me yesterday to help retrieve a parcel that was on hold. Ive always had a very pleasant experience on the few occasions that Ive had come here. Some people here say that theyd rather have UPS or FedEx deliver their mail: you can have that service now, the question is are you willing to pay for it? Also as far as parcel pick up is concerned it baffles my mind that people compare USPS to UPS. Yes, the line at USPS is a bit longer but you dont have to drive all the way across town which, believe me, takes longer than even the longest line at your local post office.
Its insane how rude one of the employees is here. Its almost become an inside joke with my household, because weve all had terrible experiences with her. Most recently, she laughed at me when I explained to her that I had to send my passport ASAP, despite my knowing that the agency isnt handling expedites. I told her I still had to get it there ASAP because my overseas wedding could come down to a matter of days, and she continued to talk over me and laugh. The other employee was polite and didnt try to judge or demean me.
Received a finally notice for a certified letter. Was informed the first delivery attempt had been 6 days earlier... I have been home every day between then and now when the mail was delivered... no one has knocked on my door and there was no slip in my mail box. My usual carrier is pretty good but the part time and fill in people are horrible. The staff is at best rude and at worst hostile. They simply dont care about the people they serve.
This isnt the first time or the second but multiple times. I always put my mail in the box 7 days prior to the due date if not sooner. Well, they finally screwed us this time by delivering my mortgage payment, car payment and one other bill to my neighbors down the street. My neighbor finally returned my mail after opening one and realizing what had happened. He even said the same thing about the mail service in my neighborhood. One bill we got hit on a late fee and the other two Im working on before its too late. Im writing this review hoping something changes. This cant keep happening. Never in my life have I had issues with the United States post office until they switched the mail carrier 2 years ago.Since Ive posted this the service has gotten allot better so I bumped it up a star. If this continues next year I will bump it up another.
At first I thought maybe I was a big wuss and too sensitive but after reading the reviews, I have to agree that its not just me and my imagination. They really are rude! I had 2 panic attacks on two separate days there and will not be returning because I am afraid it will happen again. The first time I just did not understand the packaging and the woman was a little rude explaining it. It wasnt that bad. I came back the next day with correct packaging and was hoping for a smooth transaction and just prepared to be as polite as I possibly could. So I gave the man at the counter my package to send and he asked me if there are any liquids in the container and I very clearly said, No, just shoes, trying to be as helpful and cooperative as I could, and the man raised his voice and said MAAM GIVE ME A YES OR NO YOU ARE LEGALLY REQUIRED TO SAY YES OR NO and so I just said No, being to afraid to say anything else. Even though I had already clearly said No to begin with, its almost like they are trying to be rude and mean on purpose. I am an easily startled person prone to panic attacks and I have to send a package again tomorrow, and I will NOT be going back to the Lakewood location even though it is convenient for me, I simply to do want to spend the remainder of my day coming down from a panic attack. There are employees there that have been very helpful unlike the above 2 which I had experiences with, so it is not all bad. But I simply wont take my chances, because that older man is usually there and I dont want to have to deal with him. So if you dont suffer from an anxiety disorder you will be fine at this office. But as for me, I am not returning.
Do not bother to go here!!! I went to this post office to send a package away and the front customer associates were rude and the prices were a rip off. Go to the UPS stores that just a few minutes away where they’ll treat you the way you should. The local UPS will ship your items for cheaper are kinder people who aren’t miserable.
I wish u didn’t even have to give one star for this place. Workers are BEYOND rude . No people that act like that should be allowed to work in customer service . PERIOD! Poor miserable people! Also, paid almost 40 dollars for a package sent it priority 2 day ...it’s going on day 6 and package has still not arrived to its location. They can’t tell me where it is or what happened .. and they won’t issue me a refund because I shipped it priority not priority express. On top of it all, package contains perishable items..so by the time the recipient does receive it ...it will all be bad anyways . I will never go here again . And honestly probably will never mail anything through USPS again period ...UPS /Fedex only .
Second time Ive gotten Carrier is unable to gain access to front door to deliver the package. Please contact the carrier to resolve when my business is open, lights on, door unlocked, Open sign on. Unfortunately it only takes a few bad apples to make an organization look bad.
They are not helpful. They are rude. They are incompetent.I have had two packages recently sent to me from vendors with postage due. The first package was listed as delivered on the tracking website but in fact was being held at the post office until the postage was paid. I had to call to find out. The second package from another vendor was in transit for two days. I had to call to find out the package was deemed to have postage due and was immediately sent back all the way to CALIFORNIA. It very likely cost WAY more to ship the package back to California then it did to just deliver my package and figure out the difference with either myself or the vendor.
I personally know someone that works for the postal service. Its not incompetence, its being given an inadequate amount of time to deliver everything and be concientous and courteous. The job is not rocket science but too much work can make anyone become inaccurate, in pain, inconsistent and impolite. Not to mention mandatory 6 days a week and no holiday pay when you have to work on a holiday. Its our lovely government! Not the employees.
Worst customer service ever! Supervisor Don Watley was completely indifferent to a problem I had with a package delivery that was 5 days past the promised delivery date. Don did not offer any assistance. First he said my package was not returned to his station, before anyone even went to look for it. He did come back with the package that was supposed to go to Puerto Rico, and handed it to me and he said were done here, you have your package. He made no effort to explain why the package was not delivered, no effort to try and get the package delivered, and would not refund me for the $19.95 I paid for Priority Shipping and all of this frustration. Don was dismissive and had no intention to help me. I will avoid this Postal Station at all cost.
I walked in to renew my passport obviously not knowing I needed to make an appointment. The lady at the desk scuffed at me and told me to read the sign. She continued to yell at me as I left the post office about reading the signs. No need to be rude about it! I heard you the first time. I’m sure she’s never walked into a restaurant and passed up the sign that says “please wait for host to be seated”
Absolutely, the worst postal experience I have ever encountered. I sent a package from New York City, which was to be delivered to a family member in this area on 6/5/17. It was never delivered. However, the less than helpful, supervisor at this station stated that it was scanned and delivered. That however is not the case. HIs attitude and unprofessional demeanor is unacceptable and should not be tolerated by any paying users of the postal service. I will be following up with the Postmaster General responsible for this station and its employees. This station does not deserve any star rating on google but one has to be selected in order to post a review. But consider this station the worst!
Ordered two packages that I tracked from the moment they were shipped up until they reached sorting complete and out for delivery up UNTIL IT STATED IT WAS DELIVERED IN OR AT MAILBOX. Never got my packages I tracked so they wouldnt get stolen. I contacted each seller and ebay as well amazon and both were unhelpful. I went further and contacted usps and the lady was rude didnt fully care to help even though I told her I was missing 2 packages she only looked up 1 package. And she didnt really seem to care to help me cause it was labeled as delivered when I checked my mailbox all day that day and stayed home just sonic could receive my stuff. For now on I will never have my stuff shipped through them Ill pay more to go fed ex or ups. This was by far the worst if they dont figure out where my stuff is as they stated they dont know Ill be out of $50.00 worth of stuff. Never again.
Ive been in the same house since 2004, my mailbox is monitored due to numerous complaints of misdirected mail, & I STILL receive the neighbors mail on an almost DAILY basis. Do you want to know the Post Office response? Your mail carrier is having personal issues.I truly wish that someone / anyone in this office appreciated their job enough to provide service that deserved at least ONE star. This Post Office location does not deserve that. One disclaimer: the shorter-statured Caucasian man is the fastest, most pleasant employee there, but hes not there often.
I was having issues trying to send a package. When I took it in physically to mail it (on my third attempt), the worker blamed me for the issues. I thought part of the responsibility lay with the postal service. Workers were rude and sometimes a quick sorry this happened is the easy way out. Night box doesnt work most of the time.
I had one of the most horrible experiences at this Post Office. The Post office Clerk Kenton has one of the most nastiest attitudes and is VERY unprofessional. I have a lot of respect for USPS workers and have never been so disappointed by one till I went here and dealt with Kenton. I even wrote out a complaint and got sent this generic email from the location, I posted it so you can see how they completely didn’t even care to send an actual personal email. In the future I hope Kenton gets the help he needs to be a better USPS employee.
This place is an absolute joke. Ive never seen anything like this in my life. Calling it a circus would be insulting to the circus. The people that work here are complete morons. They all deserve to be fired. They should not be allowed to reproduce. I have had so many packages go missing because of this place, Ive lost track. The people (if theyre even human beings) that work here are rude, lazy and stupid (for lack of a better word). They put you on hold four hours, dont deliver your packages. How hard is it to deliver a package? The address is on the label!!!!
My daughter watches are temporary postal guy break our mail box over the summer because he pulled to hard on the cover, So a month ago our original postal lady told me I needed to replace the box or they are stopping my mail. If he broke my box he needs to replace it. This location isvery dysfunctional , The manager cant even have the common curiosity to do the right thing and fix it, She has no right running a location she cant handle.
The only thing I can count on with my mail in Lakewood is that I cant count on it. EVERY TIME Im waiting for something important there is an issue. I get at least 4 items of my neighbors mail every week, sometimes from streets not even close to mine. Ive been told I live on a training route, I have a different mail carrier every few weeks. I just found out a reimbursement check Ive been waiting on from work was mailed weeks ago. I never got it. This scenario pretty much plays out every time Im actually waiting for something important. One year it was my W2s. Id call and complain, but even trying to do that is such a hassle chasing down the right number and trying to get someone on the phone who doesnt have that i dont care sound in their voice.
Absolutely awful customer service. I was taping up a package at the register since I thought they needed to see the barcode on the box I was purchasing, and I didnt want to cover up the barcode. Excuse me if that was the wrong thing to do, but I dont usually send snail mail these days. As I have the tape in my hand ready to go on the box flap, the employee literally pulled the box away from me so that she could weigh it. Nevermind holding the box in place for me to make the process faster, oh no, that would have just been too convenient right? I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience. Save your sanity, dont take your business to this location.
SERIOUSLY AWFUL SERVICE!!! Not only I had multiple packages delivered to me by kind and helpful people who received my packages instead of me, but packages I sent got returned to me as well, sometimes 2 weeks (!) later, stating that the package is 0.3 oz!!!! over that label I purchased. What kind of ANAL ATTITUDE IS THIS??? WORSE SERVICE IN TOWN! Not to mention their unacceptable behavior, they are often very rude!
Rude and lazy people, oh my god!!! Needed a passport and was here at 9 am with my 6 week old and 2 year old. They said they dont do passports until 9:30 even though website states differently and I even called the day before. I was its now 9:50 and they are still not here. I was then told the passport people mosie on in whenever they feel like it! Ridiculous!!!! I finally left at 10 and had to go elsewhere. I will never ever come to this post office again even though I live in Lakewood. I will get stamps somewhere else. DO NOT GO TO THIS POST OFFICE!!!
I am really frustrated as USPS is just leaving the Notice card everytime a package sent through USPS. All other services deliver at my doorstep but ONLY USPS has this problem and not sure why they dont want to deliver the package to the door but in my Mail Box?? NONE OF THE PACKAGE HAS BEEN DELIVERED SUCCESSFULLY. AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING THEY DONT DO 2nd ATTEMPT??
The postme are fantastic. However the inside of this place is a joke. Ive witness several times a man being rude to mostly the elders and ppl from other countries. One lady always mad at the world they always frowning. Poor customer service at this location in Lakewood. I honesty hate going in. I pray the get a better staff. No one should ever feel bad or hurt going to the post office. They act as though you should know what is what
Unbelievable, It was important enough that I needed to send a flat rate priority mail envelope with a signature so I filled out the address. When I was asked to confirm the address, I said it was wrong and pointed to the address on the envelope. The second tome was also wrong and again pointed to the correct address on the envelope. That is what comes up I said Thats not the right address will it come back to me. After some more banter, she gets mad and huffs off. She comes back about a minute later and tears off the prioty stamp tag and hands me back the envelope and tells me to see the supervisor who was standing by the inside mail boxes. I approached her and she ran inside I waited, but I had to go to work in Beachwood. Went to Beachwood Post Office and it was mailed to CORRECT address.
This REVIEW is for the Lakewood Ohio 44107 post office. Im just gonna cut right to the chase, they have the worst, rudest, and laziest postal workers I have seen in my life! I dont want to seem racist but the African american women that work there are always rudest and have the biggest attitude. Why do you work at a place where you have to deal with customer service if you have an attitude problem? If you hate your job then quit, find a new one! If you have issues of your own leave them at home. I have talked to numerous people that have went to that location and have had problems with the African american women that work there. If you cant deal with the public get a telemarketing job this way your paid to have an ATTITUDE. Also you have certain questions you can ask about whats in the package other than that its NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!
My mail is continually put into other neighbors boxes, the station on Warren has one slow person at, the register while, 2 other people are walking around behind them. No wonder so many want to shut down post offices altogether, they are not helping to keep them open.
This is the worst post office eveeeer!!!!!!! I routinely get the wrong mail. I always get ALL my neighbors mail in my box even though my name is CLEARLY marked. I have ordered from Amazon numerous times only to have my packages either sent back or lost. The employees and mail carriers are unbelievably inept at something that shouldnt be that hard!
Some of the workers are very rude. Ive had two packages marked as delivered when they were defintely not. When you tell them that they werent, theyll argue that that your package was delivered until they actually look and find it. Oh sorry, there was a glitch in our system.Long lines, screaming kids, baby mama drama - I dread every time I have to go here -_-
I love this post office! Used to live on east side where I was usually waited on someone curt or grumpy. This Lakewood office has very upbeat, professional and kind people. I saw one of them be extra patient with a confused senior, and I have always felt like a person when I am there.
Good luck if Kelton (spelling?) waits on you. This man will make your life extremely difficult. I live just blocks from this post office but will go to Rocky River just to avoid this man some days. They really need to reevaluate this mans position and NOT have him work with people in the front. He doesnt know how to interact properly and would thrive in a non-customer centered environment, like THE BACK.
I have nothing but problems with my mail. Somehow the same house has been here since 1906 and they cant find it. Its behind another house and thats clearly too much to figure out. Today will be probably the 20th time Ive called because, once again, im not getting my mail.
The clerks here are extremely rude and Ive watched them belittle people almost everytime I go in there. They refuse to help you or answer your questions and will make snarky remarks. The older gentleman is professional but thats about it. I refuse to go back to this post office. Ill take the trip to Berea just to deal with friendly faces.
I’ve lived in many cities and never experienced only getting mail once or twice a week like I do here. Can’t even deliver mail to my house 6 doors down from the post office. When I do get mail it’s from residents on other streets. I can’t begin to count all the mail I have never received in the 2 years I have lived here.
The black lady in her 40s-50s who works here is MEAN. She screamed at me this morning for standing in line leaning on the counter YOU CANT BE STANDING THERE LEANING ON THE DESK THATS SOMEONES WORK STATION GET BACK IN LINE BY THE SIGN like screw you lady the register was closed and I have back problems so sorry I leaned on the counter Ill stand wherever I want and if you have a problem with it we can take it outside because you wouldnt speak to me like that if you werent hiding behind that desk
By far the worst staff I have ever experienced. Very unprofessional and unwillingness to help anyone is ridiculous. We did a line to get some assistance and all they did was point a finger and assumed that I knew exactly where to get anything and then had to wait back in line.

2022-04-19I’ve had issues with this post office for years. Doesn’t matter who my carrier is they refuse to take sent out mail, in fact once 4 years ago I had to mail important documents for my medical insurance, it was end of November I sent it and I found out a couple months later when my coverage was denied for non renewal and I found the letter I sent had been thrown on the ground into the snow and stomped on as I found it once everything melted. I wrote a note to the carrier asking why they don’t take mail, is that not part of the job they signed up for and that it put me into a really horrible position, and they responded by not delivering mail anymore for a month plus. When I realized what happened I had to stop at the post office once a week and they where rude too, initially very rude asking why I possibly would question why I’m not getting mail (probably because my mail box is empty 2 weeks later), telling me that I had an unsafe walk way to the mailbox, it was not, and that sending out mail is an optional part of the carriers job so I should be thankful if they ever do it but the only way to ensure my mail is sent is to bring it to the post office myself. I’ve been beyond disappointed in my postal service since with issues regularly but do my best to never send anything through them anymore and keep all my deliveries through other services when available.

2022-06-26I shouldn’t even have to put a star. I have had a package delivered to the wrong address and never returned. I’ve called more than a hand full of times to get this resolved. Either no answer or I get the run around and told they would call back. No call back and now I’m out the money I spent. This has been the second time now. All I needed was from this post office to send a letter or email where my package was delivered to send to the company I bought an item from to actually get what I bought. If I messed up this bad at my place of work, I would have been fired. They have no responsibility for their actions.

2022-06-17I have never had a good experience at this Post Office. If you are unfortunate enough to need to stop in, you are likely to have to deal with someone with very little customer service skills and a bad attitude. Really, this post office is notoriously bad, and I cant understand how they put such un-friendly, rude people in customer-facing roles. Also, if you happen to have a robin that has built a nest anywhere near your front yard, they will not deliver your mail because... robins are scary... I guess? I still go on my porch, guests still come to my front door, I still get Amazon package, UPS packages, and FedEx packages, but that robin is just too much for this Post Office.

2022-04-19One day a mail person put a green slip in my condo’s mailbox stating that my unit was now vacant when it’s absolutely not. Our mailroom clerk said she’d make sure to let them know I’m here. A week later, after realizing I hadn’t received mail, I went to the Warren St PO and verified there was no forwarding address on my address by mistake. The supervisor said they’re between mail people, for my route, and the permanent one should start soon but she’ll make sure she speaks with everyone to make sure I’m getting my mail. Another week goes by, no mail. I call the Warren PO, and a different supervisor said he will check and get back to me and he never did. A few days later, I call again and a mail person said they would call me back (they didn’t) but my mail returned the next day. Where is my mail from those 3 weeks? It was clearly their end. I’ve received no explanation or apology. It sucks not being able to rely on the Lakewood post office to do their only job.

2022-06-27This is the worst post office in the county. The people are so rude and have little to none customer service. They lost my package have no idea where it is and just keep telling me there short staffed. They wouldn’t track it or anything. The told me there 2 weeks behind and they don’t know when it will show up. DO NOT SEND YOUR PACKAGES TO LAKEWOOD!

2022-03-08I dont know what has happened to this post office over the years, but I left a letter on my side door mailbox that I wanted the postal worker to take. When he came, he pushed it to the side and it fell on the ground and got wet. Well there goes your $20.00 Xmas tip for many years to come!It is now 3/7/22 and two of my utility companies informed me that my accounts were past due. I have proof that I wrote checks, put stamps on them and dropped them of at this post office. Both utilities never received Feb payments. I will now pay my utilities online from now on. Its pretty sad when you cant depend on the post office anymore to get your utility payments to their destination. I hope all US mail goes under! And btw your post office owes me for two stamps!

2022-05-03Does not take outgoing letters from mailboxes, sends me other peoples mail then when I try to return it sends it right back at me, mail is often slow. Most like illegal practices happening at this location. I receive other peoples certified mail which should technically be impossible because that requires a signature. Inspector should take a closer look,

2021-12-08This is the worst USPS ever. They lost or God forbid an employee stole my package that I was trying to return. I was pointed in several different directions with no answers besides “we can’t do anything because USPS still has it.” They admitted to not scanning products so you can’t track it. Every single employees has an attitude even if you try to get stamps. Management needs to consider a fresh start with employees.

2021-12-16I was getting the previous tenants mail for 3 weeks so when i saw the carrier show up i went over to tell him that i am the current resident and the previous tenant is no longer at my residence. i also informed him that my last name is on the mail box. this guys incredulous response was that it doesnt matter what name is on that mailbox and what matters is some barcode sticker that i cant access unless i have the carrier’s key. now think about why this guy would argue this with me when any logical person can realize i am the resident there telling him that the previous tenant no longer resides there. he even inserted mail addressed to me by the united states post office that confirms my change of address with my name on it, along with another mail that belongs to a previous tenant. i thought this was absolutely absurd and confrontational behavior. i stood there to let him know he isnt going to mistreat me the way he is, he told me to back off then took a picture of me with his device he was holding in his hand then threatened to call the police on me. i went to the post office and told them of this situation and filled out a form and talked to supervisor. the supervisor was very professional but my experience with the carrier makes me not trust the usps entirely.

2021-12-30I dont understand all the bad vibes. This is a great post office. No hassle, the employees are helpful and to the point. The line also moves way faster than others. USPS FTW!
