United States Postal Service in other cities:
I have been waiting for packages for two months. The company that shipped them said that they tracking has them at this post office. I dont know if the post office is holding them or if my mail person is got them in the truck. I paid for the packages and wish that the post office would get them to me . I have had troubles with the mail person smashing smaller packages with they boot. I try to understand that they are stressed . Please deliver the packages for God sake. Kathie Steinbruegge 2280 Kentwood Place apt I Dayton Ohio 45420 .
Lost a package. Said it was out for delivery then never delivered. After a investigation all they said was the carrier dont remember seeing it. Then 2 weeks later they didnt deliver a package because they apparently couldnt gain access to my mailbox because a employee didnt have a key?? My mailbox is on my porch, and they delivered the junk mail just fine. The package was small enough to fit so they pretty much just screwed up. Ive never had issues with any other branch ever, and Ive lived all over the country.
Useless doesnt even begin to describe them. Had a package delivered priority. Get home and its not there. I call the office and the supervisor rudely insists that my package was delivered. Fast forward a few days, and the neighbor who hasnt had time to come by, brings me my package. Its not just that theyre incompetent; they dont care.
Mail carriers are trained on how to read mail and make sure it goes to the right house. The normal guy who delivers does a good job, but whenever he has a sub, I never get my mail. It always goes to the house around the corner from me. I’m sure my neighbor gets annoyed with coming over or me coming over interrupting their day trying to get my mail that you guys can’t deliver correctly. Learn to read.
Trying to be a good citizen, when I moved in, I marked the mail where people had moved out, or there were no residents. Aparently the carrier didnt like this and stopped delivering to our whole building. I had cards and checks returned. Neighbors were sent to collections, because they never received a bill. I went down and found all this out in November, thinking by Christmas card/gift time it would be cleared up. My Sister in law sent a card and package that was not delivered. I think it is illegal for the carrier not to deliver mail.
Completely irritated with this local PO. Not the station, its the carrier service. Our regular carrier is awesome. On his days off, whoever subs for our address TOTALLY IGNORES all outgoing mail. Why is this a problem? I run a home business, my sole livelihood!! I have a Carrier Pickup scheduled each day of the month. I have had my outgoing mail (including a tax return) out on the front porch for 3 days in a row now...left untouched. It is inexcusable that we cannot get better service than this >:-(
09-24-2018 - This place remains a JOKE!! Our mail carrier is a complete donkey - putting it nicely - and is the most incompetent carrier I have seen. Today, pouring down rain, he left my mailbox open. Mail is SOAKED and difficult to open. Does no good to call and complain because management doesnt give a rats tail. How do these people even have a job?!
Had a package suppose to be delivered today and it was taken back because of my address being wrong is the excuse they gave me. I have live in the same address for over 5 months and have had no problem prior to this. I lost alot of money in this package because of your guys screw up and you wont help me find it or you hang up on me when i call in to see where my mail is going.
I was taken care of very nicely by this location. The employees here are working very hard at their jobs, so not every time I get a smile but that doesnt stop them from taken care of you. Not all people love the mornings but they get up every morning, trying to make sure we get our mail. Thank you U.S.P.S. for making that possible.
This place is terrible. Theres a manager there by the name of nick withers whos so rude and so disgustingly awful that if I could Id change post offices. The packages and Mail never get delivered. The people are putrid. Theres not a nice person in that building that would be willing to help. Completely awful. I wouldnt even give them a star.
There are many times our carrier doesnt stop at our house and pick up outgoing mail. I put it out at 7 in the morning, so I know I havent missed the carrier. I think our regular carrier is on vacation or sick, and the replacement carrier just skips houses on the route. Poor service
Ive had many issues previously with this location and the staff. Now, theyre shutting the metal door in front of the registers early and its sealed the deal for me. Highly unprofessional especially since this is a federal service. I should still have been able to walk in 5 minutes before close to put my prepaid packages on the counter.

2022-05-13The employee who helped me saw that I was shipping my passport and she immediately recommended what service I should use and the least expensive way to do it. She was very pleasant and efficient.

2022-09-05I am shocked at how this property is maintained. They rarely mow and seem to trim or clean up the beds. What a shame that the United States post office can’t look better than this.

2021-10-03Horrible service! Since Ted left years ago, our area has not been the same. Lost, stolen mail, late mail, and always a different carrier. We get our mail after 6pm and alot of times we get others mail. Ive called my branch, and they have done nothing. Terrible, Terrible service. I could do a much better job for lesser pay

2021-04-05I have been using this post office for 3 years since I moved to Dayton and Ive never had a bad experience. Other post offices are a disaster but the staff at this one are always kind and pleasant. Mary Kay usually works the counter and she is so sweet and efficient.

2019-10-03I had three packages go missing that USPS delivered this summer. When I contacted the branch, I received no response from the supervisor other than an automatic reply saying they would investigate. Their call center was even less helpful and basically told me the mail carrier scanned the packages as delivered but never actually delivered them, but that was it. The few occasions I have actually gone into the building, the lines have been massive and the staff has been apathetic at best. There are still notices from the 1990s on the walls that have never been taken down. I would give them less than two stars, but my regular mail gets delivered-- packages seem to be the problem.

2019-10-05I have had the worst customer service I have ever gotten before in my life. I made a complaint to the customer service number for USPS and they sent my case to this branch for review. My mail was not being picked up from my mailbox. I called the branch back after they left a message. The man answered the phone and I asked for the person who left me the message. He yells at someone on his end to asks if said person was there. I was surprised by the amount of unprofessional this displayed. Someone yelled back that she wasn’t there and he then told me that she wasn’t there and to try again tomorrow. I called back the next day and she was there. She told me who she was and that she had got the complaint from corporate and asked me what was happening. I told her and she immediately interrupted me and started to tell me everything I was doing wrong and that it I have to hang my mail outside my mailbox for the post man to see it. I asked her if she was even hearing what she was saying and told her it’s not good customer service to blame the customer. She then passed me off to her supervisor who immediately began telling me what I was doing wrong until she finally realized that I wasn’t talking about a drive up mailbox. They would have known that had they listened. I got frustrated by being blamed by this point that I said I didn’t understand how any of this was my fault when it’s the mail persons job to deliver and pick up mail. She proceeded to tell me that it is not their job. Their only job is to deliver mail. They only pick up as a courtesy if they fee like it. I told her I had never ever heard that before and that I bet I am not the only one who’d be surprised by that statement. She hung up on me. I called corporate back to tell them what happened and they were appalled by my treatment. I told them what this manager said to me and they said she was wrong and that the USPS is at our service and that it is absolutely their job to deliver and pick up mail both and that without us using them they would not have jobs. He was extremely apologetic for the two ladies lack of manners and education on the matter and would be filing a complaint against them and would be following up with me. I was extremely offended and surprised by the behavior of the two ladies in management at this branch and am hopeful a revamping of customer service training happens, because the USPS customer service man was correct, without customers you will not have a business. I hope they get the training they need or at least find a job they can be happy at so that they’re not mean to other people anymore.

2020-06-30Ive attempted to mail exactly one package from this location. I was charged five dollars over the USPS shipping calculators projected shipping cost (I rounded up the packages dimensions and weight) and the package was promptly lost with no apparent record of its tracking number. Glad I saved the receipt. More glad theres a FedEx near me.
