I use this Post Office fairly frequently. I have always been very happy with the attention and service I received at this USPS location. The clerks are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The service quick and efficient! When I am mailing packages, they always tell me about the options available. Because this not a heavily used Post Office, it is usually a fairly quick in and quick out experience.
Im infuriated with the post office right now. My mail delivery was stopped because of a single piece of junk mail addressed to Resident #5. I laid the mail on top of the mailbox to discard upon leaving. My mail carrier put it back in my box. So I removed it, again, and put it back where I had put it and long story short, this over zealous, obsessive compulsive mail carrier, acting like the mailbox police, tried to force me to do something else with that mail other than placing it on the mailbox shelf. She also removed my name card from my mailbox! I complained at the PO branch about it and was told I should take my mail, junk mail and all, to my apartment and throw it away in my trash. I thought I could do what I want with my mail as long as I wasnt bothering anybody. As a result my mail was returned to senders and further deliveries were stopped. So far it has cost me a late charge on one of my bills and who knows what other mail I didnt receive needs my attention. I cant believe Im being punished like this! They shouldnt play around with peoples lives!
The absolute pits. Left 6 packages at my front door. They told me that from now on they would deliver large packages to the rear of the house. That lasted one week. Wont answer the phone and act like they dont care. Why should you buy insurance for someone to do their job?
I dont know what has happened in the past month or so, but the carrier is now leaving mail on the porch instead of inside the door. So even yesterday when it was pouring rain the carrier thought it was a good idea to set it on the porch. Thanks for the sopping wet package. Bring back the old carrier or at least one with common sense.
Just picked up a package today that apparently a postal worker thought they were entitled to. Do not appreciate my hard earned dollars at Economy Linen being taken through my part time job, that I enjoy SHARING with everyone. Thank you to the Dayton Police Department for at the very least, taking documentation on my issue. Makes a Postal Inspectors job slightly easier. A mess.
The only reason this location is not getting zero stars is that it is not an option. The mail person decided that they were too lazy to walk my package up to my apartment or to ring my apartment so I could get my package. I now have to explain to my friends and family why they wont be getting Christmas presents from me until after the holiday.
1 Star only because you cant post unless atleast 1 star is given. This is the worst post office ever, they dont have mail carriers to even cover the routes, and they steal or throw your mail away, and when you ask where your mail is, because you have informed delivery, so you know exactly whats supposed to come, all they can say is we will look into it...end result youre just stuck wondering. From this day forward ill be calling consumer affairs, and making police reports for every piece that goes missing until something is done. This post office needs to be emptied , and re-stocked with competent workers from the carriers to management, because Ive had ENOUGH.
They make up reasons not to deliver mail / packages. This time animal interference on the 19th, now 22nd still no package + I dont even own a dog. Last time couldnt deliver - no access to home, gated community. Gated community - are you serious? I live off Hillcrest in Dayton. Not only poor customer service, they cant even lie well.
They suck I have packages never delivered saying notice left but no notice was left my regular carrier is excellent but the substitute sucks and there rude even when I try to go get my mail or packages from the station they look at me like im lying about not having a notice left this has happened multiple times and there rude as well made 3 complaints about them nothing was ever done about it people nees to rethink there job title if your that miserable find another job I wish I had names to post with this to let them know they need to be fired. Somedays I dont get my mail and the days I do its around 6-7pm...
Have had two packages mysteriously disappear never had this problem before until we got a new mail carrier and calling supervisors. consumer affair. or whoever doesnt do anything but the surveillance camera will catch that ass whos to say after they scan your package for the GPS that they still take it......
Wow they are supposed to close at 1pm but are always closed before that. I have to ask why people work at jobs they clearly dont like and it affects customers and they do not care. This one lady who is probably the laziest employee around as I often see her walking around but never helps out at the desk. She has a personality of a Gnat.
This guy in a red shirt completely made me feel like I shouldnt have been there and I was paying for a p.o. box. There were customer s in there and she needed a pen he mentioned I had his pen. I stated Im in the healthcare field and I have plenty of pens . So he pulled out his cup as he cursed. I just left. 05/24/19 Dayton Ohio post office
Was expecting a package today said out for delivery went down to post office after carrier only dropped off the mail but not package and got the run around the lady didn’t even try to contact the carrier to see about it. Now I have to wait till Monday?!? Ugh if it’s not delivered they owe me 49.00
This location has a terrible phone service. I have called from open to close every half hour repetitively and have yet to have my phone call answered ONCE. I am completely flustered seeing as I requested my change of address in August 2015, and have yet to receive my forwarded mail . It is October. My agenda has been COMPLETELY compromised due to the lack of service received. Ill be making a personal appearance very soon.
Terrible phone service. I was lied to about my package. My package was essentially lost and then returned to sender. I had to give the guy my tracking number 5 times, and every single time he typed it in wrong and then blamed me for it. Terrible experience. Not cool homie.
The phone service is beyond terrible! There is no way to actually speak to a person. They took a package back to their office, didnt leave a door tag, didnt offer a re-delivery option, and no way to CALL and finds my package! VERY DISAPPOINTED. Wish this wasnt my post office.
Thieves! They steal mail here! Theyre also liars! I went to the post office to see if they could hold all my mail. And was told they dont do that there. I called customer service and was informed that indeed they do. And they will. I will pick my mail up until I move from this trash can.
Can never reach them by phone! The mail carrier leaves a non delivery for anything needing a signature without knocking, without ringing the door bell and often leaves items for different households that have put in changes of address years ago. Worst post office I have ever dealt with!

2021-02-08Unacceptable customer service at this location. An employee of my business was sent to the post office to deliver a bulk assortment of mail. She waited in line where two employees were taking care of postal customers. When arriving to the counter, she was informed that her mail must be metered because they were out of stamps. The employee proceeded to meter part of the mail, and realized that it was time consuming- then told her she could go to Speedway to buy stamps and that she was privileged because she didnt want to wait at the end of the line (again) in the middle of her transaction. At this point, multiple customers were frustrated with their wait times in line and began to harass her about her privilege and making inappropriate comments about her personally. What a shame to be treated this way. Please do not believe that this will be the end of our complaint, as we will be filing a formal complaint as well. My recommendation to other postal clients, to consider a different office location, as this particular location does not have appropriate staffing or supplies to accommodate your needs, nor are they apologetic for their shortcomings.

2020-12-17Honestly the worst usps Ive ever dealt with. They are not even verifying packages that require a signature out of pure laziness. The supervisor was no help, said thats what they are supposed to do. Headquarters said otherwise though and its even on the website. I was also told if the package cannot be verified that it is to be left on the porch despite protocol. This isnt true, the package is to be taken back to the post office and normal protocols are taken in this circumstance. The carrier is to speak to someone 6 feet away to verify the name on the package, sign that they did their job, ask the customer to close the door so they can put it down and go back to their vehicle safely. Therefore, the supervisor lied to me. I have attached photos from the USPS website proving he was lying and the carrier didnt do their job accordingly even though I was told I would not recieve an apology from Justin because the carrier did their job correctly while he also stated that they should have verified at the same time saying it was okay he didnt. So, the story changed it was interesting. I lost my temper over it all because I knew I was being lied to. I know they are going through a lot, but this cannot be tolerated.Youll notice they lie to hundreds a day and the police have been involved due to theft from carriers as well. Clearly poorly managed.

2020-10-28This is terrible been waiting on my package that was suppose to be delivered on October 17 its now the 28th they said they tried to deliver but I wasnt home I been here everyday and they never knocked couldve left it at my door but said they couldnt reach my address really. The bad part is the mail is always delivered late around 6-7 at night. I called to find out what the problem was and the woman was rude and was over talking me not caring about what I was trying to tell her not professional at all someone from corporate needs to check into this like now.

2021-12-08I prefer to go to other usps post offices. This one doesn’t ask if I would like tracking on items I’m mailing out. Compared to other places this one isn’t the best…

2017-09-09I frequently order packages from Amazon Prime, which means they will arrive on a Saturday or Sunday if I order on a Friday. I live in a secure entrance building, so I make sure to wake up early on weekends and leave the front entrance unlocked for the delivery people. Then I get a notice on Amazon saying that my packages couldnt be delivered because the door was locked. This is a flat-out lie, theyre just too lazy to even try the door. One Saturday, I waited by the window all morning and got a notification that my package couldnt be delivered. They never even came. Recently, a package wasnt delivered because of invalid address. When I called the post office to verify the address, it was correct. They were just too lazy to deliver my mail... on a Friday. Why cant they do the job they are getting paid to do? Its not every package that I get, but if its expected to arrive on a weekend, I know I probably wont get it until Tuesday the following week.

2017-02-20I had a package that said was delivered and was directed to this post office for assistance. Pam at the counter seemed to be very irritated to help with my problem. After supposedly looking at how tracker per manager that I never saw, she stated that it was delivered at my location and that someone must be lying to me in my building! No other assistance offered. When asked about the phone always being busy (had tried calling for 4 days) she stated well you are not the only only calling. I apologized to bother her as her no verbal cues were coming across and she says im not the one upset Very unwilling to help and very poor customer service when assisting someone with a lost package!***Update***2 weeks after I posted this review, my package was brought to my apartment building from another building that it was wrongly delivered to. So after the post office said that my apartment building staff was lying to me and the package had to be stolen by someone in my building, they were indeed wrong! After they supposedly looked at tracking and told me that it was delivered to my apartment building, it makes me wonder if they even checked and they were the ones who were indeed lying to me! This is so upsetting that a service that is to be trusted can not be trusted! I hope that this branch gets a much needed overhaul, starting with the staff who needs proper customer service training!

2021-07-08Never receive mail promptly, always receive other people’s mail from streets away and my neighbors will receive ours at times. The carriers just don’t care, are always switched out and I have complained multiple times and nothing is ever done.

2018-09-22Zero stars-Way too often receiving other peoples mail/packages. Who is receiving mine? Most Saturdays no mail even when tracking says it is out for delivery. Dishonest about reasons for no delivery. Went to pick up a package I had a pick up sticker for, waited oh so patiently as the clerk disappeared only to return & say she did not know where it was, come back in a couple of days. WHAT? Glanced in the back to view a mountain of disorganized packages. How can this be? THE WORST.
