United States Postal Service in other cities:
I have never been made to break down sobbing before at a business, but man, this woman really takes the cake for THE WORST PERSON I have ever met in nearly THIRTY years of living, and Im a survivor of abuse. I am not prone to hyperbole; someone has to make a reeeaally bad impression for me to make a statement like that, but honestly I am still shaking from the encounter. I just moved to the area, and havent been able to get any mail - this woman refused to acknowledge that my address even exists! I asked her what I should do, and she was so unimaginably rude, even shouting at me for trying to ask a question (ExCUSE me, Im talking!!). Then, when I started crying, she yelled at me for that in front of everyone else, causing me to cry even more! After that, she just stormed off and refused to help me even more. I tried showing her my lease, and she said that didnt matter and that I needed a piece of mail to prove I live there...... Yeah, you read that right: I need a piece of mail, even though I CANNOT receive mail.I know the USPS went through some hiring difficulties, but they should be ASHAMED to have a woman that soulless on their staff. Just disgusting.
If you have to engage with someone at this office, I feel sorry for you in advance. I came in trying to ship something and once I got to the counter, was told it was in the wrong shipping box. I was told to go and grab a box that said EXPRESS instead. So, I went back to a table, reboxed it, taped it and stood in line for another 30 minutes. When I got up to the counter, another woman that originally mentioned took me and told me the exact opposite- meaning the original box I had was fine. I told her that the other woman instructed me differently then she tried to charge me for both boxes. I refused and ended up leaving in tears from how incredibly impossible these women were. If you can, go to another office to avoid this place.
This post office is horrific, customer service in nonexistent, and do not even try to call the customer service number cause you will not reach anyone! But even face to face the staff acts like you are a bother to them. If you are like me and have a PO Box for your business, any packages sent will take an additional 5-7 business days to even get to your box once received by the Post Office!? Really!? It’s a joke that’s not funny. If I could give it negative stars I would, like -10.
The folks who go online to leave bad reviews about the United States Postal Service are the folks whose opinions are probably best skipped. The USPS has never let me down. Sure, the service isn’t always the friendliest, but I can’t blame them considering who they have to put up with.
I drove 30 minutes to do the walk-in passport because the website said the passport center was open til 7 pm. When we got there the lady working the counter said no appointments after 4pm. I said your website said seven. She just pointed as to say the rest of the building is open til seven but not me! As some one already said in a previous posting. I wonder UPS and FedEx are getting so much business. You want to pay your employees big money but not make them work for it. I wouldn’t step foot back in this hell hole but for the fact I need a passport!!!
My package arrived in the early morning today, but they do not sent it. At about 1 pm, they said that my package was delivered. But there was no package at all when I went out checking. I can not believe that my package was played as a toy in their hands. They gave me false information. They tried their best to make me worry about my item and test my temper and patience. What an national company! Such a shame!
Rude employees. It’s as if they are doing the customer a favor by waiting on us. Today, rude employee announced “It’s 12:50 we are closing in 10 minutes”. I pointed out that the website said 2 pm. She rudely said “Temporary hours are posted on the door. It’s called COVID”. Perhaps someone from IT should spend 3 minutes updating the website to match the door signs. Employees here are not doing anything to help the USPS reputation. Go to nearby Grandview if you can. They are very nice!
While the two associates I talked to were friendly, the compliments end there. A package of mine that I ordered did arrive, but it arrived at the wrong apartment building. It’s small enough to fit it my mailbox, but I checked the doorsteps of the units in the building over and nothing. I was directed to go to this location by my local USPS, who said the manager here would help me find out exactly where my package was wrongfully delivered. I was given three numbers to call.None of them worked. Even two more I found online for this location either kept ringing or were dead. I went in person and was even told sheepishly that no one ever answers the phone and it just rings all day. One of them wrote down my name and number and said the manager would be in touch. Based on the way he was described (“off having lunch at the Four Seasons”), I knew he would be in no rush to help me, and I was right. I hate sounding like a Karen about this, but I’m angry and disappointed that the USPS and this location in particular are this unprofessional and have no desire to fix their mistake and I’m now without a package because since it was delivered to the wrong address I have to either assume it was stolen or sitting in someone else’s mailbox still. Thanks for nothing.
Worst post office Ive ever been too. The ladies who work here are ghetto and disrespectful. I called right before 5pm when I got out of work to make sure they were open until 7pm, not 5pm like most other post offices. The person on the phone ensured me they were open until 7pm. I arrive at 6:47pm, the supplies area was closed off so I walk up to the counter and say can I please buy a couple of envelopes to mail this, its very important. Tia said Nah we closed I said its not 7pm? She said we closed that area at 6:45 When I told her I called earlier to make sure they were open she said nuh uh no you didnt, I aint talk to YOU (as she eyed me up and down and snarled at me) I said I checked online and called and she said it dont say we keep that open til 7 online I said well I talked to someone 2 hours ago and they said you were open. Tia says I just told you WE CLOSED as shes now raising her voice, slamming things around making a scene. I dont think Ive ever felt personally intimidated by a post office worker before. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. This isnt McDonalds, you cant just refuse someone service because you dont feel like doing YOUR JOB until the time the business is SUPPOSED to close. Last time I checked employees cant just CHOOSE when to close down a government-ran operation whenever the f*** they feel like. I would rather give up my lunch break to visit another post office that closes before I get off work rather than step foot in that trashy location again.
Where to start... they lost my priority shipped package right before the holiday that resulted in the package arriving late. They were rude and provided zero help as far as a resolution to the issue, and they didn’t even offer to give my money back for the priority shipping. You’re better off going through UPS or Fedex if possible.
Terrible passport office. Theres seven desks to do passports, three are usable with cash registers, one employee working. Taking appointments before their timeslots and not taking walk-ins in order even though you take a number. 2 hours to turn in paperwork and didnt even need a photo or copies.
The WORST place ever. They not only do not EVER answer their phone, they also do nothing to help their customers when you finally give up and decided to drive there. On of my packages somehow got delivered there and it pretty much as never found. I spoke with a number of people all very unwilling to help. Finally I got a manager and he said he would do what he could but pretty much was just trying to get me out the door and take zero responsibility. The government should really learn how to train their employees a bit better cause not a single person I met her was kind or helpful.
I paid $25 for a next day delivery a money back guarantee delivery. The package was supposed to be delivered by 3 pm yesterday. I tracked the package for the 4 th time today and it said it was still in Columbus. I drove to the office to find out where my package was. The First lady I spoke with said it was in transit to Chicago. I said this package was supposed to be delivered yesterday and it’s just now on it’s way? I inquired about my refund and she tells me the package has to be delivered first. I ask why and she instructed me to go to the mail hold department and speak to a supervisor. I go speak to the supervisor who 1st didn’t want to come speak with me and 2 was no help. Long story short she didn’t know where the package was and told me I couldn’t get refund until this package was delivered. I was infuriated! Not only did she not show empathy, she nonchalantly acted as if my mail didn’t matter and smirked when telling me about my refund. First, if I needed my package delivered when they felt like it, I wouldn’t have paid $25 to do so! Secondly, if my package wasn’t delivered the day I paid for I shouldn’t have to wait, especially, when you don’t know where the package is. I’ve had so many bad experiences with the Columbus post office and no matter how much people complain nothing ever gets resolved. I call usps and it’s an hour wait to speak to someone! This is ridiculous & I don’t have that kind of time to waste! Something needs to be done, this is ridiculous and I want my money back!
I dread having to go to this place. I hate when something is sent to me via USPS because I know theres a 50% chance they will fail to deliver it and Ill end up back at this office again. It doesnt matter what time or what day of the week you go, the line will be at least 15 minutes long and probably closer to half an hour on average. Dont even bother going at peak times like lunch or after work.Instead of having a separate line for people that just need to pick up a package, you have to wait behind everyone that has boxes upon boxes to be weighed, inspected and labeled. They only have two people working, who appear to move deliberately slowly. There is never any sense of urgency even with a long growing line. If youre lucky and only wait 15 minutes, it will still seem like an eternity because of how slowly they work and it should have only taken five. Then when you finally get to the counter they are rude no matter how simple the task or how polite you are. These people act like they actually want to be fired, and at almost any other business they would be, but for some reason the USPS has no problem with their customers being treated like pests. In fact it seems that they want to deter customers.Oh yeah, I can also confirm what others have been saying about the phone service. Dont waste your time trying to get a human on the line.
Worst service I have ever had. I had a package that had an unfinished address on it so I called to pick up the package there. The woman told me she had flagged my package and would call me when she found it. I specifically asked if there was anything I could do to stop it from being returned to the sender and she said that since she had flagged it they wouldnt send it out. Four days later I get a text update saying my package had left the facility and then another text a few hours later that it is in LA. This had happened over the weekend so there was nothing I could do to stop it. My package is something that couldnt be reshipped or repurchased so now I am out some money and my item. My package was at that facility around 8 days even though they are supposed to keep undeliverable packages for 15 days. Absolutely the worst service I have ever had in any industry.
There was only one line open at 4:30 pm, but that has been my experience at every post office in this area, so Im not going to give a bad review for that. Amber was polite and efficient, and even laughed at my joke offer to pay with my first born for an international package. Someone kindly returned my keys to me which I left on a counter while filling out customs forms. Honestly though, 90% of the people in line were impatient and irritated. I think a poor experience here may not be the postal employees fault. People were audible complaining because I had four packages, one of which was international, and had the audacity to buy stamps. Last time I checked there was no limit on transactions. The Post Office itself had ample easy to access parking, the building is well laid out, and the employee was great. Your fellow customers however, well, they may not all be as polite.
Rushed to this post office because the website said they closed at 7:00pm on Friday. Got there on time among other customers and we were all upset because the sign on door said they closed at 6:00pm. Frustrated, I left mail in drop box. The next day I checked tracking at 6:00pm on Saturday and they still have not scanned my packages even though they were open today 8:00am-2:00pm. Screwing up my business. Ugh!!!
Have had several issues in person at this USPS location on Twin Rivers. In the past wait lines are extremely long as well as problems with delivery/receiving items. Recent issue was while sending save the dates. I took a small stack of 25 last week and they hand cancelled for me. This week I took 25 more. Now they no longer do that or it is a $0.21 charge. There was no one behind me and I would of gladly waited. If that is the rule needs to be established amongst all staff members.
Desperately needs staffing. I got here to the passport center at 9am...there were already about 50-60 people waiting. It is now 11:54 and I’m still waiting. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes and per applicant. I don’t think they consider multi-applicant families. From 9 to 946, the number did not change. At one point, 2 people went to break at the same time. Awful experience!! I’d suggest more staffing AND more passport offices available on Saturdays so this location is not so saturated!
I believe that one of the women that works here is swiping packages. My story?...I have taken Priority Mail packages to this location twice in the past month, and of the 30 or so packages I took, two have gone missing. Both items were in a large box, and both were relatively expensive items. The game?.... The postal worker in question is hesitant to produce a scanned receipt of the packages. My mistake?.... Not checking every single item on the receipt Im given by her , to verify that the scanned item was actually entered into the system. Background detail?.... The aftermath of the first of my two events of my package going missing, this worker feigned any responsibility and tried to claim the processing facility would be the place to check with. Her mistake?.... The second time I took multiple (17) items in and asked her to scan them She first complained it would take her too much time. THEN...she proceeded to chew me out for coming there so close to closing time. Naturally, I felt so embarrassed , so I regrettably didnt look over my receipt to make sure all 17 items were entered. AND TODAY, I come to find that the package is missing because it WASNT actually scanned and entered into the system!! 16 items were scanned in. The large item wasnt scanned. So now I know she didnt scan it (as opposed to her saying the Processing Facility didnt enter the scan in)... I filed a police report for theft, citing this worker as the culprit. SIDE-NOTE: That same day, while I was waiting in line for help (EXPECT LONG WAIT TIMES HERE)....an elderly woman asked for a receipt because she had recently had a package go missing , and that worker laughed ,saying that they recently had a woman threaten to file a police report against them for theft. (That woman was me! Waiting in line to be helped, right behind the elderly woman..wow)...This same postal worker proceeded to laugh, while telling the elderly woman.. Right! Like the police would even care about a missing package .. AND THAT boys and girls is why I think this happens with the people we entrust with the safe delivery of our mail. They do it because they KNOW they can get by with it. SO Ill be a loud mouth. Because if people dont speak out more, this kind of stuff will just continue. PEACE:-)
Do not bother calling they never put you through to a person. No wonder theyre losing money. There is no way to exit the menu and speak to someone. I had a simple question, can I just pickup my package which is at 43216 post office instead of waiting for it to be delivered tomorrow? Never got a chance to ask the question because it didnt fit in the neat little menu system. Time to write my congressmen and the over paid over benefited postmaster general.
This facility is incompetent and unaccountable. It loses packages regularly, either by rerouting them incorrectly, mislaying them so they disappear, not performing timely and consistent tracking scans, and never - ever - picking up their telephone. The facility is an embarrassment to the region that brings shame to the entire USPS.
I am a local small business owner who sends packages via click and ship every day, and have every day for three years. I spend a couple thousand dollars monthly shipping packages with the USPS. This is the only location that seems to feel they have a right to decide if they feel like working depending on the given evening. My husband was treated so disrespectfully that he refuses to step foot in this location again, unfortunately, this is the only location in our area that is open the hours that work for my schedule. So I guess Ill be switching to Fed Ex. If any packages from this last shipment arrive damaged in any way, I will be contacting the Post Master until my complaint is heard and resolved.I also called to speak to this location regarding this and no one ever picked up.
Took time of from work to renew my sons passport here. Got my appointment a week ago for the first slot (9 AM). There was no one here (everybody called in sick because of Good Friday) and we are all waiting for ONE passport agent to show up. Very disrespectful & unprofessional!
Mailed a pkg overnight, went to wrong post office & was not delivered by specified time..was due a refund..but of course post office lied & changed in their system that pkg was delivered...my kid still doesnt have pkg but system is showing it was delivered..it was delivered from the wrong post office to the right post office but it was NOT delivered to the recipient of the pkg..so in essence it was NOT delivered by guaranteed time!! Horrible how they can lie like that & get away with it..I spent over $33 for overnight service..if I wanted it delivered in 2 days, I would have used priority for a lot cheaper! Now u call & make a complaint, no one will answer the phone!
They will not answer the phone. I have called about 12-15 times and it rings & rings & rings. Come on USPS answer your calls from the public so I can ask my 2 quick questions to be sure I have everything I need before I drive 20 min to your location ! This is why people are choosing UPS or Fedex over USPS - customer service.
They are a 0 star post office. Spent 50 minutes on hold with customer service. Then explained that the priority mail I sent on Monday was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday but hasnt arrived yet, and was shown as in transit but delayed on the tracking website. I explained that if it wont be delivered by Friday at Noon, we will have to reprint the document and drive down to Columbus to hand deliver it. When I asked if she could guarantee it would be delivered by then, she said she could not guarantee it, but gave me the local phone number to this post office. I spent an hour making 16 phone calls to the office and each time the phone would just ring and ring. No one ever picked up, so now Im preparing to drive multiple hours to hand deliver a document. Dont make the same mistake I did, do not use USPS.
Been stuck at the Passport Office for over an hour and a half. 2 workers were behind the counter and once Debbie looked at us, knowing the other lady is handling a family of 7 with incomplete forms, and decided to close up shop and act like we arent here. She just wanted to rush right out so she can go home. USPS needs to stop hiring such selfish workers. Will be glad if I never see that lady again.
Mailed a pkg overnight to Georgia on 1/10/18 - arrived in Georgia on 1/13/18. Was told it was held up because of bad weather - told her there was no bad weather on 1/10/18 ( I have printed weather info from 1/10/18 and 1/11/18 - in the mid 50s both days) and the pkg left Dayton on the worst day that week for bad weather, 1/12/18, the day we had rain, ice and snow. I was told no refund as it was because of bad weather. Told the clerk there was no bad weather when I mailed the package, and she replied oh yes there was and I am not giving you your money back. Asked for a manager, told me I had to come back as he was not there. Tried to finish the survey on line - (seems this zip is not valid at this post office and was told by another post office how to try and complete the survey). My father in law contacted another post office on the situation and was told we might as well file for the refund on line as we would not get any where with this branch. At this point it is principal - to be told it was the weather and when clerk knew it was not as she had to look it up twice and never anything on tracking as to why it was not delivered. Fed Ex and UPS will get my business from now on - at least they own up to their errors. Tried to give it zero stars but you cannot post without clicking on at least one star.
Not the greatest post office in the known world, but yet not the most reliable either. There is a fast service person at a movable stand in the front lobby and he has always been nice, however, there is no longer any communication between the post office and mail carriers as most of the mail carriers in Grandview are contractors. There have been problems in my neighborhood where contractors are stealing mail, or they simply leave a signature delivery on the door (one contractor actually ran from the door like he was afraid to knock). There are times where we will get a huge windfall of mail and then no mail at all over the course of several days. I once needed to get a bulk rate permit and nearly needed a lawyer next to me as the person in the office seemed to be making a social economic comment to me almost in every sentence. Nice way to turn people off. I try to go the Grandview Village branch as much as I can in order to avoid this place.
Deserving of 0 stars, as are most post office locations. “Tia” was unhelpful, rude, and discourteous- this seems to be a trend among postal service employees. Not to mention that there was only ONE employee at one of their busiest locations. She was not even competent enough to perform the most basic of tasks for me, and said that I would have to “call and wait on hold”. Laughable, I’m here in person and willing to resolve an issue quickly and efficiently. To add insult to injury, they play dumb, acting as though they can’t perform simple changes on their system to resolve address issues. I’ll just reorder and take the $31 hit, it’s not worth wasting further time. I have no faith in their services or competency, and can’t wait for them to be phased out.
I stood in line for half an hour over my lunch break while one employee serviced a line of customers. As the store did not have packing paper, I asked her if a sheet was available anywhere to wrap around my package. She replied that there was not and showed no inclination of wanted to help further. I then showed her my shipping label, preprinted through ebay, and she said that the box was 8 ounces more than listed, so I would have to cancel the label online and reprint a new one. She was unable to help me in the store, so I left. I cancelled the label and was informed it would take 15 days to get reimbursed. The USPS is terrible and I am going to fedex from now on.
They dont know what they are doing with new services such as Informed Delivery, I was sent here by another post office and here I am and they seem unable to set me up either. I have been given the run around with their online system having issues, to people in the stores being unprepared. Thanks USPS for wasting my time, in the future I will think twice before bothering with you.
Visited Holding mail center. The lady at the desk JONAH was completely in patient. She had an attuide and doesnt have the skill set to interact with ppl beyond handing them their mail. All questions shouldnt be answered by her. She shouldnt be the face of such an environment. She was dismissive and seem to forget that she is in customer service and part of her job is being patient. If a person comes in and ask your name as a government employee you should give it to them. Aswell as a supervisors name. She REFUSED to give me either in an attempt to cover up her mistakes or lack of knowledge for her position.
I called 1000 times and still havent gotten an answer.. My package showed out for delivery on sept 4 but never got delivered.. There was no status update for 4 days. After I called them, they advised me to wait on the carrier. I didnt c him for 2 days which made me feel like he stole the package. The status updated on the 8th that the package was back at the PO and will deliver today. My package I Still at the facility and is not even out for delivery.this is ridiculous. I have never had this problem. Maybe the have found out how to steal packages and get away with it n thats what happen. I still am not able to contact this unprofessional PO smh
This post office is terrible. The young woman working there gave me the wrong tracking number for a package I sent Priority Mail. The recipient of my package has not received it and it has been two weeks. I had money orders in the package. I now have it being tracked for fraud. This has been a nightmare. I will never use USPS again. The problems I have now as a result of this incident are numerous. I am beyond frustrated, I am angry.
I frequently visit this location given I am a PO Box customer. I selected this location given the fact the PO Box is located close to my workplace. Overall, the service at this location is very sub-optimal as I have experienced over the past 1.5 years. Given this is a government job and parcel services are a non-optional basic necessity, I do not expect the situation to change at any point in the near future.Yesterday, I called the main number to inquire what would be necessary to get an authorized user added to my PO Box. I called 5 times over a 2 hour period and finally was able to speak to someone who picked up. Unfortunately, this person said I would have to speak to an individual up front in order to find out what was required. No further effort was made to answer my question. I then drove to the post office to pick up mail and spoke with the individual at the desk. I was told to bring the authorized user in and we would be guided to an application. I specifically asked what from of identification would be required and if simply a drivers license would be adequate. I was advised this would be fine. I then had the future authorized user meet me at the post office. We got to the counter and were informed an application was not required, but the ID documents listed on there (photo ID PLUS proof of address) were required. This was not anticipated, so this was effectively a wasted trip.On a different occasion, I had a slip in my mail box indicating I had a package behind the counter waiting for me. One of the lobby workers informed me that could not find the package despite tracking information indicating it was delivered as well as the fact a notice was put in the PO Box stating that a parcel was waiting. Of course, I received a phone call a couple hours ago when the package was found.Unfortunately, unlike other public organizations in town (such as The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and The Ohio State University), the transparency with regards to the leadership at this location is not clear and cannot be found via the internet. Therefore, the ability to provide this feedback to an actual person is not easy.
I was in line for no more than 5 minutes and was helped with absolute grace when opening a new PO box. Both the clerk and PO box coordinator were swift to offer me more free services to enhance my experience and took good care of me. Im proud to be doing business here.
I needed to recieve general mail when I first moved to Columbus cause I couldnt recieve mail at my business. They made me fill out an address form twice, the 2nd time they said I had to fill out 2. Then when I asked for the manager she proceeded to belittle me and talk down to me like I didnt know how to fill it out. The words even came out her mouth as she walked away when I informed her that Im not stupid and in the process of obtaining a PhD. Still never recieved any of my mail for 3 months. In the process of filing a lawsuit, contacting news stations and the governor or mayor. I can only imagine how they possibly treat homeless or actual slow people. None of them seemed educated.
Dreadful. From the USPS website: International money orders are convenient and secure ways to send money internationally. They can be purchased at any Post Office (tm) location in values up to $700. You can pay for your money order with cash, debit card, or travelers checks.First, we go to one post office in Worthington, which says only this location does money orders. I guess that was a lie, too.My best friend, a New Zealand exchange student, needs a money order to pay for an apartment. This is the only (and best) way to access money from an international bank, in large sums at once. He walks in, only to be told that he needs proof of a permanent residence in the United States for a money order. The lady behind the counter says his visa, his F1, his pay stubs, his passport, nothing he has is adequate proof because its not US-issued documents. She says his United States /visa/ isnt a US-issued document. He needs a permanent residence in the United State for a money order... When you need a money order to get a permanent residence. She offers no solutions, obviously trying to frustrate him enough to give up and leave.Excuse me? This is how visiting dignitaries and tourists often access their cash, so thats a lie. I go in, though, with my proof of address, and all of my information. As I talk to her, she tells me that these arent approved documents either. I ask her what documents are. She refuses to elaborate and repeats that these arent documents she can accept.So... What, the documents you need to do your job are a secret? Classified information? Could you at least be a little less *insulting* with your quality of lie?I stand there and provide her with my passport, my drivers license, letters addressed to me, more. She gives me some documents to fill out. I start to fill them out. As I do, she suddenly claims no, this location doesnt do international money orders.See the quote from the website above. I stare at her, silent, unbelieving, as a line forms behind us because of all this piddlefarting shes doing, having us stand there 20 some minutes trying to get a basic service... And she suddenly claims that her computer has locked up and she cant do any more transactions of any kind today. And, as far as I know, she closes that part of the post office on the spot, at 5 pm, because she asks people to leave.Dear god. Ive had general troubles with the USPS before (even this location, between lost letters, letters returned to my address for no reason, lost PACKAGES, and mailing delays,) but nothing which has been so bad to make me passionately wish for its dissolution and the immediate termination of all its employees. Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful. You may as well just burn whatever you need shipped, rather than trust these blazing incompetents with it.
This was easily the worst customer service experience Ive ever had. Theres a note on my door that says do not leave packages at the door, and when the package was delivered by FedEx to the United States Postal Service they delivered it again and left it at my door. It of course got stolen off my front porch and coming in trying to get anything out of these people is like pulling teeth in a gulag prison.
I manage the mail room for a non-profit organization in Columbus and the Twin Rivers location is where our mail gets sorted. It is on average twice a month that our mail courier has to return multiple times in one morning because the mail is not sorted and ready to be picked up on the regular schedule. Especially Tuesdays. I know that many other companies are suffering the same frustration because our mail courier says the issue run across the board for his customers. What gives? This exhibits that one need not prove the ability to perform at a basic level at this sorting facility. :(
If I could give 0 stars I would. Today is my only day off this week and I had errands to run Ive a very small dog and he goes with me everywhere. I was told that next time I could not bring him in with me. I WILL NOT leave him in a hot car and the little time we do get together on my day off is his because he is my bestfriend and deserves a good life outside of the home. When I said he was my emotional support companion they then said well next time you will need to show documentation of that. If you look online it is actually not permitted by law for me to show any sort of documentation about this. Which protects my confidentiality the ladies at the post office DO NOT need my mental history for me to bring my dog into the post office. This is a none food service establishment there is no point of contact with him for health and safety violations. There are no signs saying no dogs on premises. Further more when I went to pay for my package delivery that was a little over 10$ I gave them 7$ in PREROLLED coins they then made me take out all the coins and count them individually. This behavior is far beyond unacceptable for a customer service experience. I will not be back to this post office again. Ive been coming here for three years now several times with my dog and Noone has been this rude to me or him before.
One of the worst experiences Ive had. They had all four lanes open but two of the employees were too busy texting to take care of the customers. The only poor girl that looked like she was trying gave up half way through her shift and left mid-rush. Waited two hours in line to apply for a passport
It’s 2:30 pm on a Monday, 1 person is working to issue passports and 20 people waiting. It’s taking on average 20 minutes a person. How is there not more than 1 person working at the main Columbus passport issue center on a regular business day. Go to a different location for passport.
TERRIBLE. Doesnt even deserve one star. According to the tracking number my package has been stuck at this location for weeks now, still waiting on it to arrive. Have not been able to get in contact with the office since no one picks up the phone.*** Update 9 months later... Another one of my packages went through this postal service location and is ALSO LOST. You would think theyd try to get these issues under control, but apparently not.***
I wish I could upload of picture of the screen shot of how many times Ive tried to call this place regarding my undeliverable package. 34 times!!! And they only picked up twice, the second time they were also extremely rude about it. My package was addressed correctly and everything and somehow they marked it undeliverable and is now sending it back to the sender which is all the way across the world. I paid $80 shipping fee for this. At least give me a reason why its undeliverable? RIDICULOUS.
The customer service here sucks. I had a package that was out for delivery a month ago but never delivered nor was there an update on the tracking number on what happened to the package. It has basically disappeared, which makes me think this USPS location is extremely unorganized. On top of everything else, they NEVER answer the phone. What kind of business doesnt answer the phone? Please try to not use this location if possible.. you will have troubles!
Come to make a delivery here. But dispatch cant bare to say theyre closed on Sunday. Typical. No signs or anything to indicate where drivers can come to check in. Lady on the phone has no idea how to do anything. Talked to a mail delivery guy.... Apparently I shouldve just went and found a higher up.... Guy couldnt form a sentence to save his life. Or speak up! I guess the usps will hire literally anyone... Except the ones with a brain.
So your delivery personnel deliver two of my packages and forget the third one. Then as the excuse for forgetting the third is that there was no access to deliver my package? Are you serious? This is three times in the past four months a package of mine has been forgotten by your driver. Get people who care.
I cannot believe what they did. I sent a package to Tokyo, Japan in July of 2016, and we payed for it. A couple of months later they sent back the letter that was INSIDE the package when I sent it, with a stamp saying Returned for postage. It was in terrible condition. I didnt receive anything that was inside the package I sent. The service at the place isnt even very good, they acted like they didnt know what they were doing.
The parking lot is completely blocked off, apparently to keep people from cutting through it because the building is at an intersection, so if anybody wants to use this office they have to park illegally or halfway down the block. Im sure thats really helping to take care of the traffic situation caused by people cutting through the parking lot...
I was bringing in two Pre-paid packages. And normally (UPS and Fedex) will tape your pre-printed labels to the box. NOT USPS.They actually force you to buy their tape at $3.50 / roll. YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!Stop shopping with USPS and don’t support those companies that do. Save yourself the time and trouble and use UPS or Fedex instead.#USPS #UPS #Fedex
This is the most incompetent post office Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Rude staff, incapable deliverymen. If I did my job as poorly as these people, I wouldnt have one. They routinely leave packages afterhours where they are accessible to the public, and they get stolen.
I have not received my forwarded mail for four weeks. I was directed to this office. After numerous attempts they answered the phone and blamed the service on the carrier. I was told they would speak with the carrier and get back with me. They did not. Now they dont answer the phone... ever.
This post office doesnt even deserve 1 star. Worst customer service EVER. They have lost 2 of my packages in the last two months. The carrier even told his supervisor that he didnt know what to do with the package so he just didnt deliver it SERISOULY!? Ive reported to 1 800 ask usps.
We have waited 2 1/2 hours, and they employees are very slow! They keep taking brakes ect and there is only 2 of them for like 50 people and on a Saturday! You will be waiting for ever and people with appointments can come right in and get in front of you. Do not give this place your business, and people are coming in and lying about having an appointment and the workers cant find them but they do there passports anyhow.
IDGAF is my five word summation which describes every employees attitude at this location over the 8 years Ive tried resolving USPS issues living in Grandview. If something ever goes wrong in any way with your mail or packages, here is my advice: dont waste a single second on this disgruntled clown operation, and cut your losses.
This place gave me the worst service ever. They misplaced a package that was sent to me from over seas. When I went to retrieve it they gave me the run around, and they were rude and unprofessional. Ive lived in other countries and never seen a post office as disorganized and unprofessional as this place. Avoid going here if you can avoid it.
Absolutely the worst customer service Ive ever had at ANY establishment. I saw them belittle the customer in front of me. They showed me one price, asked me if it was OK, and after I agreed, they charged me an additional $22 to send a package overnight. I did not ask for overnight nor did they ask if I wanted it. Terrible. The supervisor sat close by observing the poor service and did nothing.
2 day Priority medical shipment left Huntington WV on November 25th bound for Crown city Ohio. Package mis-route to Pennsylvania on 27th of November then shipped to Columbus Ohio 29... Still has NOT LEFT Columbus ohio(1 December).. I live 2hrs South of that city. This package is a Critical shipment with 2 DAY PRIORITY.... 23rd November and still not even NEAR my home.YOU PEOPLE ARE SERIOUSLY FREAKING FLAWED!!! I will not have my necessary medicine come Moday due to the INCOMPETENCE of the USPS in Columbus Ohio, Also... there is NO WAY TO SPEAK TO ANYONE TO FILE A CLAIM OR TRY AND LOCATE LOST SHIPMENTS... I want to cost you out so badly but you already have to look in the mirror each morning and think Im a damn idiot...
This location might not be the best in Columbus, but the trick Ive found is to attempt to make it in during their less busy hours. Typically during those times it is much easier to get faster service and less mistakes with various different situations.Plus, cheapest PO BOXes in town.
Terrible customer service lady rolled her eyes at me when I tired asking a question she is black African American with her black hair with semi red highlights she’s kind of tall and chubby ! She seemed like she was just there to work and not really help people out very rude !!!! Please tell her to change her attitude not helpful at all made me very uncomfortable
This is not meant to be a mean post but I have been calling them at various times of the day and I can never seem to get a hold of them. Additionally, there is no answering machine to take a message. I hope they fix this problem soon cause I am sure the people in the building are over worked!

2022-04-29Had a package update saying “Insufficient Address” went to a local USPS and told me to come to this location.Employee was short with me, pretty much told me to get out it’s not their problem. This was within 20 minutes of the package not being delivered.I just wanted to see if I could grab it before it’s sent half way across the world and have to wait another 5 months to get it.

2022-04-08This place is great if you dont like getting your mail! My business should average 10 to 15 pieces of mail per day but up to three days a week I get absolutely nothing. PO box rates increased and service somehow got worse.

2022-04-12The USPS is about as worthless as teets on a bull. Looking for a redelivery of a package that needed a signature. Of course they didnt know the whereabouts of the package and got nothing but a runaround. Four days after the supposed delivery date and still not in receipt of package. No wonder the mail is not being delivered as it seems everyone is incompetent and drawing a salary. I now can see why that USPS is always in the red. I tell people now to send and receive by UPS or FEDEX.

2022-03-27This post office will not follow their own rules listed on the federal post office rules poster 7 and will Have you criminally trespassed for upholding the Constitution. I call on all citizens to go here and LEGALLY video record Your transaction.in A FEDERAL BUILDING! The Columbus feelings police here are tyrants as well and will not follow the actual law. I hope thos place gets shut down.

2022-06-09The upstairs are politely dismissive.God help you if you ever have to deal with the Hold Mail counter. The staff is argumentative and far beyond criminally inept.Currently waiting to fix a refund that was sent back as they told me my package was in New York.

2022-07-19Website says they are open 24/7. Did not say that is the lobby only. No indication of what the window hours are. All the envelopes were not stocked except the set rate express ones. It was a wasted trip

2022-02-14They are so kind, trust worthy, real people, despite the fact that they are short staffed and have to put up with 1-2 star review Karens. The bigger the ego the less self aware these Karens are.

2021-11-03Woman inside of the post office (Wednesday at 2 pm) was extremely friendly, politely directed me to the building I need to go to.she directed me to the HOLD MAIL area to pick up mail that hadnt been dropped at my house.LONG WAIT we waited like 6-10 minutes for a woman to show up at the desk🤦🏽♀️wish signage had been clearer so I wouldnt waste 10-15 min just trying to figure out where to go**buildings and parking are extremely confusing!!!! when I arrived I drove around trying to figure out what building is what and where to park.they need better bigger signs!!
