United States Postal Service in other cities:
Ive never had anything but good service from the postal employees. You take your chances that somebody in line brings in a dozen packages, each one requiring a return signature, or somebody arrives with a poorly taped box, or without the proper documentation. Long lines happen. Choose a time when the lines are short. Postal clerk jobs are very stressful.Alternatively, of course, you can print your own postage label at USPS.COM or third party providers like PIRATEMAIL and just drop off your package.
I am very disappointed with this post office. I had my mails on hold but never received a piece when I went to the post office thrice to retrieve my mail before the last day of the request. I was always told the post master had taken them out for delivery 😲 i signed up for informed delivery and received emails of my mails received at the post office. Kudos to Westerville usps for a job well done in holding mails for residents.
Its a post office. Its fine.Line long but workers usually friendly. Kiosk in the lobby, although the lobby is kind of blocked off and a little bit sketchy after hours. Dont use the boxes in the alley behind...mail is frequently stolen. Walk your stuff inside. Parking lot is really tight and busy.I mean, really, its a post office. If you know what a post office is, then you know what youll find here.
I had a package that looked like it never made it to this destination....I called after a few days and Kelly immediately answered me, and was extremely helpful! She wasnt able to locate it then, but told me to call back the next day and when I did (still hadnt appeared at their location via tracking) she spent 20 minutes with me on the phone, and ultimately was able to locate it.Incredible customer service, especially with everything thats happening given the pandemic. She deserves a RAISE! Reviews on this location dont accurately reflect the employees, as Kelly had help she told me locating my package. Thank you Kelly and team! Clintonville appreciates you so much!
I have not had good experiences with this post office, but when I submitted a complaint the new manager reached out to me and explained how he planned to address the issues. I recently had a very important package delivered many times but it turned out it was addressed incorrectly. When I called freaking out that it was lost they said I could pick it up the following day...when I got home that evening it was in my box. It is going to take a lot for them to make up for the past and earn a decent review but I do feel the new guy is REALLY trying. I still will not go in person because the ladies behind the counter and flat out mean, but hopefully this will head in a better direction too.
I initially left a very bad one star review due to a package not being delivered. We’ve had drivers not get out of their car just leaving a notice in the mailbox so I assumed this happened again. I even filed a complaint. The next day the manager called me to apologize, and I had to tell him it was my bad. We had a note on the door telling people not to knock or ring the bell due to a sleeping baby. He gave me his phone number and told me to call whenever I have a problem. They were very responsive and had my package to me the next day. This place is turning around. Don’t believe the bad reviews.
I absolutely love our regular postman. Hes consistent, friendly, wonderful to chat with when I happen to catch him. However, whenever he is off or unavailable the people who fill in are much less considerate, and often leave packages out in the open for anyone to see and steal. In addition, weekend package delivery is awful. Twice this week they attempted to deliver a package and marked that they were unable to gain access to our door (a large open front porch with both front steps and side steps), making this particular package 5 days late. Unfortunately today I did not catch the delivery person before they jumped back in the truck and drove off. They didnt even walk up our sidewalk and the inability to access our door is a blatant lie. The tracking history said they left a delivery slip which is also untrue. There is *some* snow on our front steps, but the side steps are 100% clear. We also have two side doors that are often used for package delivery. Im beyond frustrated as I feel this was pure laziness and incompetence, and its not the first time this has happened.
Once, I was set to receive certified mail, essential delivery, to my home. Guaranteed 2 days. 2 months later, it was still lost in the sorting facility. I spoke with the postmaster, there was nothing he could do. A week later, my new letter carrier (there seems to be a revolving door of them) found it and hand delivered it to me.This is standard operating procedure for this post office. They frequently mark things as delivered to meet quotas or goals, but never actually venture out of the truck. Ive had days where they just dont feel like delivering at all, so they dont, but mark things as delivered. Ive had packages lost, stolen, given to the wrong apartment, and mail that doesnt belong to me sent right to my door.Ive even had a brand new debit card sent to me and an impression of it made and used in Mansfield. Someone who handled the envelope must have felt the card and raised numbers. Its absolutely insane.Im not one to give one star reviews. I think its rude. I think you can always find something good. But the level of negligence and criminality this post office/sorting facility uses in its day to day operations is likely to be literally criminal, even felonious. How these people still have jobs is absolutely beyond me.
At Christmas time I changed my address and all my mail was returned to the sender and some never made it to either destination! Then I had to change my address again so I went in and explained what happened before. I was expecting a number of checks to come and couldn’t afford for the same thing to happen. They said the would hold my mail for a week until the change was completed and I could pickup my mail there. I did this on a Monday and a week later and not one letter! The post man even took my mail from my old address and I couldn’t even get that! Now they are telling me my mail is getting returned to the sender AGAIN and I won’t see any of my mail for 14 days!!! Incompetence, misinformation and no clue what is going on!
The line moved quickly, my personal transaction was fast (they did not drag their feet), they did not push extra services (just asked what I needed and got me the least expensive option possible), and they did it all with a courteous manner! Ive had a laugh or two with them in the past as well, they are such good people! If you abide by the rules (they are not allowed to give out tape), and dont harass then, they will be nice to you too!
Started going to this post office 6yrs ago. Seemed nice, clean and not too busy. But then reality hit, the 2 old women who work the counter are unhappy and rude. They hate their job because of lack of customer service training and make me feel the pain of their unhappiness. My mail has been lost and just never sent out. Please be advised before going to this location that you will be treated like trash and not receive the service you need. It’s sad to see how hard just smiling can be. Improvements should be made and new customer service reps put it. Hell, I’ll do it with a smile if you need help hiring people. Get it together!!!!!
A lot of reviews for post office locations are posted by the type of people who show up to the post office unprepared. Have your package/ letter/ whatever you have labeled before you get in the line. Dont be one of the people that has a million and one questions for the employee and then create a large line. I guarantee your questions can be answered by their website. Basically be an adult and dont be rude to the workers.
Several times on the tracking service, Ive seen that a package is out for delivery. So I check the mail box, and guess whats not there.? Why would they on one end mark a package out for delivery, then it becomes marked delivered, yet days later, I still have not received a package? So I get that same feeling of sick, because I know whats going to happen. I end up having to fight with the incompetent, and extremely rude so called employees at this location, as they make their case that its marked delivered, so its been delivered. If only it was decades ago, that you could set your watch to the postman. I will refrain from what they say about him at our complex, meaning the person that took over for a very nice older man, that never missed a beat, and delivered our mail earlier in the day, and on the day its marked delivered. When the office closes at 6:00pm, and this person is strolling in around 6:15, guess what you cant do, call and complain. By the next day, your the liar, and at the office, he walks on water, according to the extremely rude manager.UPDATE..It was the mail mans fault, he put it in the wrong box. I had to set for 3 hours to wait for him, as hes never delivering at the same time, and wait for him to open the mail box doors to see if he did put it in the right box. What do you know, it was in the wrong one, and lucky me, the person hadnt picked up their mail in a while. I guess his perfect status that kept getting repeated to me isnt as perfect as they claim. People make mistakes, but dont call me the liar, and a thief. As an apology the mail man said he would give me a gift card to apologize, but months later and still no gift card in the mail. I didnt expect it, so Im not going to worry about it showing up. Just another case of not keeping your word, that bothers me.
I dont know how my packages are consistently being delivered without being actually delivered. I follow the tracking very closely and always check the mail when I expect something. Usually the mail gets delivered around the same time daily. However, on multiple occasions, my packages have been marked as delivered and not actually delivered. Have placed a complaint before and yet it is still happening and I have not yet received my packages. Very frustrated with this location.
Update: The manager called me and explained the reason why my package was marked the way it was marked. However, UPS is definitely more reliable.Original: This is the THIRD time I received a notification from online tracking where it says, Held at Post Office, At Customer Request when I NEVER talked to a USPS delivery person. Ive been at home since 3:30 p.m. and no one came. They are just lazy. Now I have to go down to the post office where Ill get the runaround and theyll tell me my package is actually out for delivery again. There should be consequences for this incompetence the same way Id be fired if I performed so poorly.
I have had USPS Priority packages go missing after our carrier picks them up without scanning at time of pick-up. The carrier will use an excuse that he/she is unable to scan at time of pick up. This amounts to thievery , IMO. NOTE: Our regular carrier always immediately scans our packages, and is great. Its the fill-in carriers that are the problem. IS UPPER MANAGEMENT PAYING ATTENTION???
I wish I could give this location less than 1 star. The employees inside are rude (with the exception of one) and I have had issues with 4 different packages in the past 2 months. The first 3 packages were delivered to the wrong address, and the lovely employees told me I should call the carrier personally and see if they knew where they delivered my packages to, and then go get them. Um....what? And then most recently I have a package which is simply missing. It was transferred to this location 17 days ago and has yet to be delivered. I will be purchasing a post office box at another location to avoid dealing with this branch any longer.
All of the front desk workers Ive met have been good at their jobs and committed to helping reasonable customers save money and get what theyre looking for. They are pretty understaffed though, and I have had a few issues with mail being delivered (or not, as it were).
If I could rate this post office with one star, I would. The staff are unhelpful, slow, provide incorrect information, and do not deliver mail/packages. Bad experience #1: Approximately 9 months ago I took my passport renewal and name change in to be mailed, and the woman at the counter nearly refused to mail it, stating my documentation was incorrect (she insisted my marriage certificate was not sufficient). Because I follow directions meticulously, I knew she was wrong and insisted the package be sent. Thankfully I ignored her false warnings and my application was processed without issue, but I wonder how many individuals they have ill advised and convinced to spend additional and unnecessary time and money? Bad experience #2: My August paycheck arrived nearly 3 weeks late. When it finally arrived, I could see the post mark date, 3 weeks prior. Why does it take 3 weeks to deliver a piece of mail after being post-marked? Seriously? Bad expierence #3: I recently had 3 packages shipped to me through DHL and FedEx, with the final delivery handled by this post office branch. Tracking info was lost, DHL told me someone dropped the ball, I had to get refunds for 2 of the packages, and I am still trying to get the third. The tracking info for the third package currently says that a delivery attempt was made by this branch at 7:38 pm last evening and that a notice was left. This is a complete lie. My husband and I were both home from 5 pm onward. The doorbell never rang, there was never a knock, and no notice was left. I am unable to get anyone on the phone from the branch, just a busy signal. This final blatant display of dishonesty and incompetence triggered me to write this review. Past negative experiences with my passport aside, I feel very strongly that it is unacceptable to have extensively late mail or mail that never arrives. As a long time Clintonville resident, I am embarrassed that this post office exists. I will do my best to completely divorce myself from any future interactions with them. Incompetence is one issue, but dishonesty combined with incompetence is offensive. And that is exactly how I feel right now, I feel offended by this branch.
I have been in Columbus for 5 years. 3 Years in the district that delivers mails by this USPS. I have ever missed my SSN card, my limited edition shoes, driver license, renewed bank debit/credit cards. Now, I choose other mail methods for all the important things, or hold the mail by the local store. It is interesting that I registered the USPS Inform Daily Digest, which tells me what will miss. Yes, you can see the scan of such mail, and it never comes. Another thing is good to note: the AD newspapers always come weekly, none of them has ever missed.
THE WORST post office in Columbus!! They are SO rude and obviously do not care much for their jobs, you can tell in the tones of their voices. USPS needs to find NEW employees for this location or at least retrain the current ones on CUSTOMER SERVICE!!Being told i was going to get called back on a 2-day priority package and never got a called back. So when I called in i got attitude that I wasnt giving enough information, even though I previously talked to a SUPERVISOR that said he took down all my info.Cant stand this place, hate that i even live in this area and my postage has to go through here!!!!
The staff are liars and scumbags. They listed as undeliverable a package that I went out of my way to order on one-day delivery. They lied about the time of delivery--I was home. They never knocked. They never left a could not deliver slip. They basically left me to do their work for them. So I will get up a dawn to do that. Worthless and lazy. Fire them all and close the branch down. Just close the whole branch down.
The carrier from this usps never took his responsibility. They gave my package to a stranger walk around so that my package got lost. That package needs a signature for recipient, but I was told they dont know the recipients signature, and that was not mine. I went to this branch many times, they said they cant help me, and all the officiers are extremely rude. But actually, they shouldnt have the package to people who is not the recipient.
Almost always deliver our packages and mail to other apartments. Sometimes they mark a package as delivered so it shows it was delivered on time but they dont actually deliver it until the next day.Customer service is also horrendous. Tried calling to complain but cant leave a voicemail and took a full day of trying to call for someone answer. When I finally got through they completely blew my off. They clearly dont care about customer service or doing their job at all competently.I am not the only one in my apartment complex to have this issue. EVERYONE has problems with them.
This review is on the 43214 station and not on the USPS as a whole. This is by far the worst branch I have ever dealt with. Mail gets delivered to the wrong addresses, packages have showed up weeks late, mail never delivered, self service machine not maintained...ect. Multiple complaints filed. Probably a waste of time, since nothing has changed over the past 10 years. Using the post office is unavoidable, but I now use UPS or Fed Ex to ship anything of any importance, even if it is a normal envelop size. I advise you to do the same.
The carrier who delivers my mail out of this location has now twice stated that delivery attempts were made for undelivered packages. The carrier is also updating the tracking saying that delivery attempts were made and notices left. I found out from an employee from this location is that the carrier is not finishing all of their deliveries and then lies about it. I have yet to receive a package from 3 days ago and there have not been any notices left. Im not sure what to do.
Corrupt, incompetent, lazy, worthless! I have lived in Beechwold for 8 years, and I dont believe I have EVER had a package delivered on time from the Beechwold USPS office. Here is a summary of the problems I experienced with the last 4 packages that people tried to mail me:1. Box of fruit from California; never arrived. I went in personally to the office when it was 3 days late to inquire, seeing via tracking that it had arrived, on time, at the Beechwold office. They lied and said it had never arrived. 3 MONTHS LATER I get a final notice saying that I never picked up my package. I go in to find a box filled with mold!! It had been sitting in the office for 3 months; they didnt even try to deliver it! Their only explanation...It was on a high shelf. Inexplicable incompetence!!2. Birth certificate from Franklin County Office of Vital Statistics; never arrived. I called both the post office and the OVS to complain. OVS was able to show me confirmation that they had mailed it 6 weeks earlier; the Beechwold post office rudely told me that the Office of Vital Statistics doesnt exist. Lunacy!3. Birth certificate, attempt 2; never arrived. I contacted both organization again. OVS apologized and offered to re-send the Certificate. Another 4 weeks go by--still nothing! The Beechwold post office employees tell me that there is nothing they can do without a tracking number. Ordinary mail doesnt have tracking numbers! Idiocy!4. Amazon package; never arrived. I paid for 2-day shipping; on the third day, I get a message from Amazon that the package is undeliverable because the USPS was unable to access my mailbox. This is news to me, and apparently to the mail carrier as well, given that he delivered all my junk mail that day! As the myriad of other comments have noted, the unable to access line is just a LIE, intended to excuse the Beechwold post offices inability or unwillingness to do their jobs.On top of these four examples are the numerous other failures with general mail delivery: Numerous days with no delivery at all, followed by an enormous dump of stored-up letters on the weekend; letters, including bills and personal information thrown in my yard or bushes (pretty much anywhere EXCEPT my mailbox); and mail delivered to the WRONG addresses. In fact, it has become a weekly chore for me to frequent my neighbors and give them all of the mail that was incorrectly delivered to me (and vice versa). The USPS should be paying ME to do their jobs for them!
I have called several times in different days inquiring as to why two packages that were sent to me Priority Mail were not delivered. The website from which I ordered the items claims that a notice was left, but no such thing happened. Every time I call the post office who services this area, I am met with a busy signal.
Hate to pile on the bandwagon here, but seriously this is the worst, most incompetent, uncaring post office I have ever frequented. Unfortunately it is my post office, so when packages are not delivered to me, this is who I have to call/visit. (Believe me, when I need to mail things, I go out of my way to a different location.)Many times, they will say a package is undeliverable as addressed, but when I go to pick it up they cant find it. And then somehow magically reaches me with the correct address the day after I complain. Just this week, a package that was out for delivery hasnt made it to my house for two days and the tracking says notice left - no secure location available. What?! Firstly, no notice has ever been left, let alone two. I live in Clintonville, with a front porch and a mailbox. Obviously they are just making up excuses not to deliver the mail. Apparently this location is understaffed? They should just close down.
What a horrible staff. Mail delivery threw a package of medical supplies onto my porch from about 20ft. Called the post office and no one apologized. I was just told that his supervisor would have to call me. No Im sorry. No, hes in a meeting. Nothing. Ill switch to email, Fedex and UPS.
How does this facility continue to get away with so many complaints without somebody at the top stepping in? Ive had issues with this facility improperly handling return packages but this has gotten to a new low; our last return package was picked up over 2 weeks ago has STILL not been scanned into system). I went into this facility yesterday to give the tracking information to the employee (elderly woman with glasses) at the desk to pass on to the floor manager. When i explained the situation, she exclaimed that here is nothing that she can do but to tell their drivers to do their job. After simply having her take down the tracking information and proceeding to walk out the door, I clearly heard the employee refer to me as an F***ing A**hole. These employees are clearly not being reprimanded for their actions so i say again, HOW DOES THIS FACILITY CONTINUE TO GET AWAY WITH SO MANY COMPLAINTS WTHOUT SOMEBODY STEPPING IN?
Horrible service. I made two appointments to get my passport renewed. The first visit they said they canceled passport applications for that day. The second visit they told me they dont renew passports. They list this service on their website and allow you to make appointments, but for some reason they decided not to provide this service. The are also listed on the state department website as providing this service. Very poor performance in my opinion.
When will the US postal execs start clearing house and taking pride in our mail system??? I know they know that they have a bunch of rotten apples in the postal barrel. My story? Well, once again, I had a package not get scanned into the tracking system, and its now MIA (READ:STOLEN). And the same postal carrier that lost my previous package, once again, tried to claim that her scanner doesnt work when she went to take my package....This despite the fact that the scanner works for our regular carrier. In fact, our regular carrier knows that this fill-in carrier tries to avoid scanning packages, and gave me the instructions to give HER , so she cant get by with this. So thats what I did. I gave her the instructions when she feigned broken scanner. She actually grimaced at me when I told her I have the instructions for her to use. She proceeded to scan the package. BUT....she must have not actually entered the scan into her unit, because the tracking# hasnt shown up in the system ...(now, 4 days later). The postal carrier that I am referring to is a middle-aged woman with short brown hair. She is very peculiar acting and I suspect some major monkey business is going on with some of the mail that falls into her possession. So if anyone else reads this review, and has had a similar experience ...now you know youre not alone!
I received a letter in my mailbox today, but not my package which was addressed to the exact same location. How could they access the delivery location for the junk mail they delivered but not access the same delivery location for the package? We attempted to deliver your package at 3:59 pm on October 7, 2020 in COLUMBUS, OH 43202 but could not access the delivery location. We will redeliver on the next business day.
They take care of delivering mail. I had official documents, signature required, sent to me. They arrived after the money back guarantee time, and dropped it off without signature. When I went to complain, they did absolutely nothing and the manager refused to take my feedback. DO NOT USE USPS FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Ups and fed ex are bigger companies for a reason.
Waited on a 2 day priority package. Package was put into the mail Tuesday. USPS suggested that the package would be delivered by Thursday at 8 p.m., but not guaranteed. Thursday at 8 p.m. package never came. Friday rolls around and tracking changed to Friday by 8 p.m., never came... I check the tracking number and there was an alert stating that there was an attempted delivery was made. However it said that the attempt was made at 6 p.m. the same time I was sitting on the couch looking out the window, nothing no truck, van, or mail delivery worker. As well as no slip stating the attempt. After paying for 2 day priority I basically wasted my money and am now waiting until hopefully saturday. Also sat on hold for 35 minutes. Nothing obstructs the mailman from reaching the mailbox.
They just lost my package. Had no idea where it was. They kept making up random excuses, like it **maybe** being shipped with the wrong zip code, which made no sense since it made it all the way from South Carolina to Ohio (and was ordered on Amazon using the correct zip code). At one point they told me to call back in a half hour while they were going to rummage through the store looking for it (if it was shipped with the wrong zip code why would it be in the store?). Called back a half hour later and got a busy signal. A complete JOKE.UPDATE: Got in touch with their claims department and the lady on the phone says Oh, Columbus... (sigh) after she sees where the package was sent. Apparently the Columbus USPS division is notorious for losing packages. Lovely.
I have now had 4 packages sent from this location lost. They fall into a black hole, NEVER to be seen again. I called, and Kelly answered on the 5th ring. She was very nice, but offered no help without a tracking number. DO NOT MAIL ANYTHING from this location if you need it to get to its final destination!
I wish I could give this post office a -5 because that’s what they’ve earned. On two occasions they lost my package and what should’ve taken four days for me to receive, took two weeks! They constantly put the wrong mail in my box and never (no joke) never have delivered my packages on time. The staff is incredibly rude and act like you ruin their day by showing up. I would never recommend this post office to anyone due to how inefficient, unorganized, and truly awful this place is.
I’ve visited this location numerous times to send packages. Every visit has been pleasant, quick, and efficient. Staff is always friendly and Pam is particularly good-hearted. I left the post office with a smile today and want to thank the many people at this location!
I despise ordering anything with delivery confirmation at this point. every item I get that ends up requiring a signature supposedly ends with a notice left. where said notices are being left I cannot say, as they certainly do not knock on my door or ring the bell, they are not in my mailbox with the rest of my mail, and they are not taped to my door or anything like that. as someone who telecommutes to work and a pair of dogs who bark if anyone is on the porch, I find their statements difficult to believe at best.
Busy but what are you going to do? Government employees limited staff service served to clueless unprepared customers.Friendly staff though when you dont expect the impossible. and sometimes even when you do ask a lot of them!Has helped me mail things over seas and helped with packaging, for better or for worse. There may be less busy branches else where with better parking, but come on people! This is the up and coming clintonville! What do you want?!?
No doubt the USPS has its flaws, but come on people give it a rest already. The USPS does a consistently good job of delivering the mail on time for a price that is well below what it actually costs. You have a problem, so the whole system is broken and corrupt? Get a dose of reality and live with it.As for the Beechwold PO in particular, I have had nothing but polite and timely service there for all my mailing needs.
Beyond dissatisfied. Ive had multiple lost items due to this specific USPS and when I called in to complain about it the staff lady there told me that they intentional give us bad service because they are understaffed and wanted us to file complaints to the headquarters. How does that give them the right to delay my packages?!?! Today I went to check on why my package has not been delivered...the response was that I had an incorrect address, an address that I have used multiple times without fail......whats wrong with these people?
This post office is an enigma because it is located in the wonderful Clintonville community where people are usually very friendly at other businesses and restaurants. The incompetence of the staff at this location cannot be understated. From my few dozen interactions there, there is one friendly lady working there, but the rest of the employees working inside of this location should be fired. If these individuals had any self-respect, they would quit, but I know they are most likely just riding out their government job, accountable to no one, until they sit their fat butts on the couch watching Jerry Springer and eating Cheetos during retirement.
This has to be one of the worst post office in the USA, clerks dont care, they are very very rude. They treat you like you are nothing. Im filing a complain with USPS and hopping they do something about it. I suggest that many of you that have been treated badly do the same. THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE, THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A LIFETIME JOB AND JUST DONT CARE. If anyone of them worked for me i would had fired them. WORTHLESS and the USPS doset do anything about it. That is a same.
They sometimes just skip delivering our mail. I rarely get a delivery on time from these guys. If it gets too late in the day they say our address is not deliverable? They are also rude and unhelpful in person. Someone should start a petition to get it closed down/audited.
Quite simply the rudest people I have ever encountered in a customer-facing position. The gentleman working the counter had a terrible attitude and is completely unfit for work that involves interacting with other human beings.People who act like he does obviously hate their own lives so in a way I do pity him, but that is no excuse for his behavior.
I always know when my regular carrier is out for the day. My mail is jacked. Ive had a package delivered to my address that didnt belong to me and vice versa. Im waiting for a carrier to call me about the package that was delivered to my mailbox. Ummmm Im not going to hold my breath.
Be Warned! Our local Post Office at 4364 N. High Street (43214) is lying to their customers. I paid for OVERNIGHT shipping from Amazon. The USPS scanned my package, claiming it was delivered on Dec 10th at 7:37pm. That was a blatant lie! I walked in 25 degree weather to my Post Office at 8am this morning and my package was NOT on a truck, or out for delivery. My package which they scanned and claimed to have already delivered to my house yesterday was STILL AT THE POST OFFICE, IN THEIR BACKROOM! Clearly not anywhere close to DELIVERED. The clerk admitted to me that 47 other packages were scanned last night as Delivered when they are actually sitting in the backroom at the 43214 Post Office!! Im sorry, but thats straight-up lying! Do NOT trust the USPS! In my mind, this is totally unethical as they are lying not only to civilians but lying to a large company like Amazon. Amazon is now having a hard time refunding the Overnight shipping charge because USPS is still claiming they delivered the box yesterday! If they are understaffed, then they need to hire holiday temps; dont lie! I was frantically wondering last night if someone stole it off my front porch; did it get delivered to the wrong house? I NEEDED that package! My Great-Grandma and my Grandma were both Post Masters. Each year we send over 100 holiday cards via USPS. This really has me questioning why I am giving the Postal Service my business for holiday cards, or for any shipment for that matter. Be honest. Be ethical. Dont lie. If you didnt deliver it on time, own up to your mistake. Who knows if Amazon will even be able to refund my exorbitant overnight shipping charge since USPS wont even own up to their mistake. UNETHICAL and UNREAL! Certainly not the USPS my Grandma and Great-Grandma worked for!UPDATE: 1 month later: Amazon never did refund my shipping charge. After contacting the national USPS customer service line, the supervisor there said, you keep saying unethical, and really what were talking about is more serious. This is a form of mail fraud. And that was coming from a USPS national supervisor! I did still use the USPS for my holiday card mailing; theyre still the cheapest way to send a card/letter (sigh). At least my continued patronage of the USPS makes my Grandma happy.
This place is my own personal hell. There are never enough clerks, and the ones that are there are rude and unprofessional. While waiting 40 minutes for the only passport clerk to return from her 90 minute lunch, I witnessed multiple exchanges...one customer was told I know how you foreigns hate filling out customs slips, but if you dont like it, go back to your own country. Seriously. I cant believe this woman is still employed.
There are two angry women working there doing nothing, but the phone never gets answered. I have called on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday......It just rings off the hook until my phone service actually disconnects the call. I have actually called and let it ring and walked into the place, and there were no customers in there and the lady was reading a book or something. Just another reason why the post office will be out of business very shortly. Stay away from here if possible!!
Guy wrote “No access” for my package that was suppose to be delivered today. My mailbox was completely empty and no construction is being done at all. The carriers are obviously LAZY and cant even do their jobs right. Now I have to wait until Monday to get something I needed TOMORROW! I would rate 0/5 if I could
Really only a half star..not enough parking ever!!! I parked down the block and walked. Today Monday before Christmas one clerk working,2nd staff did packing supplies and books of stamps ... apparently not cross trainedI had waited 30 minutes and there were 5 people ahead with many packages.i moved to the Kiosk. So much improvement needed at this facility.
I have a PO Box that this place. 2 out of 3 time that I check it through out the week I take a letter up to the counter to tell the PO worker This persons mail was in the wrong box. or This person isnt at this PO Box. This has been going on for months. If you happen to be one of them poor people standing in line for their services and you see a guy rush the counter and throw a letter at them, it is probably me.On the off hand chance that I need to go to the counter for any of their services...Ill go to the main PO on Twin Rivers.
Very bad experience with passport. Incompetent service. Agent insisted that one of the mandatory documents was not needed and did not mail it in with application. Passport delayed for a couple of months because it couldnt be processed without the necessary documentation. Very annoying.
I dont know what all of these bad reviews are about, but when I went to get my passport, I was in and out. Now granted, I had everything ready and made it easier for him to process, but thats the way you should probably be when going to a government controlled building.
My tracking information showed undeliverable because address is incorrect on the day of guaranteed delivery, so I wait till the next day and called customer service at USPS, told USPS to hold the package at the office i will come pick it up and the next day I come there, only to be told that they didnt deliver in the previous day because drivers shift is over and the package is out for deliver even the customer service tole me the package is at the office. Funny ha?

2022-05-07There was on going issue with this postal office several complaints filed with consumer affsirs and general inspectors they did what they can to help but mail will stop in few days. Finally this morning I had a phone call named Mike. MR.Mike was pleasant, kind and very professional in solving this issue. What a great way start my day I think Mike is a new member in this facility. We need people like him to give postal service the respect they deserved. Once again thank you so much for solving this issue and have a great day.

2022-06-09For reasons that I dont understand, the regular mail carrier can get into the building and bring my letter mail, however the package person cant/wont attempt. Every time I have a package coming via USPS, its a problem. Today I got the text that an attempt was made, however I work from home and can confirm there was no attempt made. And there is no way to speak to anyone at the office about it because they let it ring until busy signal or they pick up/hang up. I genuinely want to support USPS, but man this office makes it hard.

2022-08-09DO NOT MAIL ANYTHING FROM THIS POST OFFICE!!!!!I’ve now had a rent check (and cashed) a sympathy card for the son of a dead relative, and now a necklace I was returning.. all mysteriously vanish when Ive mailed them from this location. There’s is definitely something shady going on here. It’s pretty obvious that a worker or workerS are stealing, or somehow involved in mail being stolen. It should be investigated!*When my rent check went missing and I had to go to my bank to start the stolen check process, the woman I worked with asked me “where did you mail it from? Did you mail it from up there?”.. she literally pointed up High Street, implying this location. I said “yes!!” Her reply was “yea, we know about them.. this has been happening a lot up there. Don’t mail anything from there”. (Literally, So many checks have gone missing from this location that the bank is telling its patrons not to mail anything from there!!)AVOID mailing anything from this post office. Unless you want to roll the dice on some scumbag postal worker in theback stealing your letter / package.

2022-04-22Lotta Klintonville Karens crying about this post office. They always mail my packages and they dont dropkick them like the other shippers. If u dont like the place deliver your packages yourself. I love all the clerks that work here, even the ones that dont feel the need to put on their customer service voice when someone comes in.

2022-06-18Never delivered my package, no notice has been left and now its saying I have to pick it up. I paid for delivery, not pickup. I called three different times and they just let it ring and ring until the call ends abruptly.

2022-08-04This is the worst post office ever! I wish I could give it zero stars! Our mail constantly gets lost, (I have had to cancel checks with large cancellation fees because my rent and or utilities payment never arrived to their destination). I literally was on my porch for hours one day when I got notification that a package arrived… yet there wasn’t a mail carrier in site OR my package! Days later still not there. I’ve even got notifications saying “No access to delivery location”… yet there was absolutely nothing blocking or stopped the mail carrier from delivery our mail! And forgot about calling this post office…. THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONES!!! Seriously… The proper authority needs to step in and do something about this because it’s been going on far too long! Put yourself in our shoes, how would you feel?!

2022-06-10Mail delivery is sporadic. Streets can go a week with no mail at all. I have packages sent to friends houses so I can actually get them on time. Now we’re being told weekly mail delivery hasn’t been ruled out.

2022-02-16Horrible Staff, hardly ever are they helpful. The information they give is incorrect and almost feels made up to get me out the door quicker. I had a USPS customer service member say “I don’t know why they would say that, that’s not even something we do”. Staff could care less about there job or general customer service.

2021-10-28Couldnt be a worse post office. CONSTANTLY Loses my mail, or items arent included shown on informed delivery. They WILL take the phones down so you cant call them. The are untrained and rude in person. COVID isnt an excuse and this is now borderline malicious behavior.
