United States Postal Service in other cities:
If I could rate this place with less than zero stars I would. I sent a package and before that I was asked if it was fragile, I replied with yes, it is it was even written down that it was, and paid extra for it. The package arrive one week later of its supposed arrival time all damage. The box was basically open from all sides, thankfully I had taped the whole thing before sending it and everything was inside but the matter if its working or not, I dont know that yet. When my friend picked up the package he was told that I paid the standard price for it and the package didnt have insurance or if anything was missing they wouldnt cover it. Everything that was inside was worth $400. Why would I pay for standard price? Im never going there ever again.
I had a horrible experience here and probably would never return to my neighborhood post office, One of the employees Marty was very rude. First off he was complaining to customers in regards to a couple that just placed an application for a passport. Meanwhile Im in the line to put in an application for a passport. Very unprofessional before I hit the counter he made me feel like it was an issue that I was taking up his time. My two year old son rang the bell twice at the front desk and he said to him can you stop ?? I apologized for my son actions yet informed Marty to keep in mind he is just a kid. He then stated he had enough of a headache as it is!! So I politely told him that I hope my passport takes up a lot of his valuable time! Meanwhile there were witnesses that were in line behind me telling Marty that he was out of line and it was not that serious for him to react the way he did! I get at times the line can get overwhelming, yet key is to stay professional and solve matters the right way! Because of Marty I will never return to this post office and will take my money elsewhere!
I rarely leave bad reviews but this needs to be addressed and customers warned. This does not reflect experiences with cashiers at this office, which seems a bit slow but courteous. Seems they could use more personnel. This review highlights the neighborhood delivery service and USPS general customer service.Disgusted with the neighborhood mail delivery service has been awful.. especially since September 2016.I call it the new USPS Meet and greet service. God help us since our usual mailman of many years left us some time ago..He was great.Despite many complaints from residents..I have had some honest neighbors delivering packages and mail to me that were mistakenly delivered to them..while I have done the same. There are obviously some lesser neighbors, scum that are keeping mail and packages..unless it is in fact a disgruntled worker...or both ( just speculation)....If so, may Karma hit them tenfold..it will always find the guilty ones. The past few months have been ridiculous. I can understand an error here and there.. but its as if the postperson is not even looking at the addresses. We have had to travel blocks, to deliver mismailings. We should get a commission. We hardly trust it back in the hands of the USPS.If you live in this neighborhood, opt for Fed Ex or UPS.I am missing several packages, gifts and things in sizes that are no longer available, irreplaceable.I am seriously considering starting a law suit against this facility, will be consulting, for time, aggravation and losses... I am also missing checks!Try to complain and the USPS has only a disfunctional automated phone number for contact, and no live person! The office itself closes too early for most peoples schedules. There is no local phone number for this office (that I can find).Customer service by the USPS as a whole is pathetic. When I have an hour or two, I will try the lousy 1800 #..again.Will update my experience.
I keep finding my mail in my lawn cause they cant seem to push it in my mail box I called to make sure it doesnt happen again and there extremely rude and say they cant push it all the way in cause it doesnt fit but when I walk out there with a magazine and a bunch of junk mail it goes right in there just lazy

2022-06-14The post person that delivers mail on our street is a poor excuse for a mail person.. There have been incidents as he has continually doesnt deliver our mail, using EVERY (and I mean EVERY) situation where he does absolutely nothing more than hes required to do to the letter and not one iota more. We have had problems with him for years. Hes been written up 16 times but yet hes still delivering our mail.(maybe if he feels like it that day.) If this is the face of our new post office that is supposed to be the greatest thing yet, dear God we are in trouble....we need help.....HELP!!!

2022-03-02Extreme incompetence. I have been waiting for a prescription delivery, since 2/23/22. The pharmacy stated the post office is to blame. Lack of my prescription, is causing me to be very ill. My mailman, Ed Haller has been allowed, continued incompetence. Despite many complaints. I am probably going to have to go, to the emergency room. I need my prescription.

2022-05-05Complete joke. Theres one lady that will tell you that a zip code doesnt exist for a zip code i have sent to for many years. Also said she never heard of the city that i was mailing too also! Then has the nerve to cop an attitude when i didnt agree. I was calm and respectful and she got nippy. Drove to the Lorain ave post office and amazingly, they had no issue sending to that address! Find a new job lady, clearly you are incompetent.

2022-07-09They called to cancel my Passport appt 2 hours before I was supposed to be there because they didnt have someone working. Why have it posted to book if no one would be there? So unprofessional. Not to mention I cant rebook anywhere SAME day, so now i have to wait an entire other week or make it work on my break. Why is no one else trained on this?? Make sure you call after booking your appointment to verify someone is working because apparently they arent capable of doing even that much.

2022-02-26Michael was working when I went there. He helped me choose the right envelope that would be cheapest since I wasn’t in a rush to ship. He provided a thorough explanation in a nice way. Thanks for your kind help!

2022-07-30I requested a change of address but now the #USPS is forcing the public to use online services with the only purpose of making money off of it..

2021-08-19I have never been treated badly, I have been visiting for 6 years, most of the staff are always willing, I love this mail. I am bilingual, but if you are not bilingual I think you will need a translator, but if your diligence is simple you will not need one.

2019-05-14My mailman never delivers important mail. When I finally do get it, its been well over a month. To top it off I gave him in his hand important mail to go downtown with my childrens and mine social security numbers in it. Needless to say they never received it. So whats he doing with our mail. If he doesnt like doing his job maybe he should get a new one. Ive never had troubles before with mail service until I moved here. This is nonsense. I never done or said anything to this man so is it just pure laziness. I want my mail and expect the mail that I send out to reach its destination. Cant call and complain because I dont have an hour to be waiting on the phone.

2018-04-11Its alright. About 50/50 for things Ive sent and done from here and service Ive gotten. Pretty standard USPS.This isnt a super high volume long wait location in general if in a hurry if your car can survive the parking lot. Its alright. Staff is generally fairly consistent and helpful.

2016-09-02I never leave bad reviews of anything because I try to assume positive intentions but Ive had so many bad experiences with my mail that I feel a bad review is justified! (I want to note that I did nothing to antogonize the post office other than, apparently, dare to have a job outside of the home, and try to use the mail box that was here when I moved into my house.)I only found out that Id received mail from RITA (taxes, kind of important right?) when I ran over the envelope with my snow blower. So it was in the middle of my snowy driveway, buried in snow. This office held my mail hostage for almost 5 days and would not redeliver because the box was too small. The supervisor said I could leave a plastic bin with a lid to collect mail, so I did, but then the miserable postal worker decided that wasnt acceptable either and stopped delivering again!Furthermore, now that I have a large, standard-sized mail box, the postal worker never delivers packages the day theyre scheduled to arrive, and LIES about having left notifications (I checked the entire perimeter of my house). I was home when delivery was supposedly attempted, no one knocked or rang the bell. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB SO MUCH FIND ANOTHER JOB.
