United States Postal Service in other cities:
Its been more than 12 years Ive been dealing with south Euclid post office with delivery, its either your mail ends up in someone else mailbox or theirs in yours or you have packages come up missing, my regular mail man will at times deliver large packages to your door to ensure you received it but the fill ins will just leave it, for instance I had 3 packages came up missing while our regular mailman was off the mail was claimed delivered but appeared 3 days after except for 1 package I never received, now on November 30th I received notice of 1 package that was delivered but the package has not been seen Ive been tracking the package all day until 6:30 pm package still was not delivered, I got home at 8:40pm check my notification it said package delivered no package! Im just wondering why Im having delivered package issues of lately, maybe it will show up open and re taped as my previous packages, yes Ive notice!!!
All of these negative reviews are correct! Weve lived her for 20 years. Weve also lived in multiple locations across the country, and international locations as well with the military (using US postal services on location). This is by far the worst branch weve ever encountered, in the country or internationally. The only positive reviews you will see on this site are from a handful of folks who got lucky with one of the good ones working there, which are few and far between - or - by someone who works at this branch! We literally have an issue every week. Weve gone as paperless as we can, but still some important things like medical bills get mishandled and delivered to other addresses. How do we know? Neighbors as far as an entire street over (thats right, an ENTIRE STREET) have personally delivered our mail after receiving it at their address. They did not have a similar name, or street, or street number. When they are out delivering, they are usually on the phone, gabbing away, surely paying attention to what they are doing! Im sure the same level of attention is given while they are sorting the mail! We deliver our neighbors mail on a weekly basis, neighbors from all over our street. Sometimes mail is thrown on the ground within 1 foot of the mailbox (which is more often than not left open when its raining, weve had some soaked letters in our mailbox). Again, there are a few good ones, but relatives who have worked for the USPS elsewhere say were probably on a training route, often getting new folks to deliver. So... beware! If its important, we pay more for using a commercial shipper (vs this entity propped up by US taxpayers), or simply go to another branch. Its just not worth the convenience going to this branch. If youre new the area, BEWARE! Do you want strangers reading your important mail or documents? Perhaps enjoying gifts or cards meant for you? Go paperless as much as you can! Long gone are the days when you could count on getting your mail...
I have a dog, and he barks when the mailman or anyone else steps on my porch. Hes behind a locked door and a storm door made from tempered glass. Can you explain why your carrier refuses to deliver my mail because of animal interference? This happens every time we have a substitute carrier on this route, and its a lame excuse for not delivering the mail. Im retired, and I watched all day for your carrier. No show. This is inexcusable. I will be writing a letter to the Postmaster General complaining about this. Its not all junk mail. Some of this stuff is important, and you should be ashamed for doing this important job so poorly. I will stop by personally to talk with your postmaster to discuss how I might have reliable delivery of my mail. See you soon.
EDIT: I had a very negative review posted here because one of the carriers from this location has been randomly marking my mail as undeliverable even though they were addressed perfectly. Despite the best efforts of the staff at the location, who all have been very friendly and helpful, there still seems to be a bad apple or two who maliciously return my mail to sender. I am in the process of filing an official complaint with the USPS. Ive amended my review in the hopes that whoever is messing with my delivery from the South Euclid branch will STOP THIS NONSENSE and deliver my mail as addressed.
The employees at this location are SO incredibly patient, kind and professional! I witnessed an obscenely rude man walk in and treat the staff like complete garbage and they gave him nothing but kindness back. Thank you for being a wonderful neighborhood post office! I’m truly grateful to have you!
Went to this branch to submit my fathers change of address card. I had the Power of Attorney document with me to present. The supervisor told me my document was unacceptable because the notary public seal was a new stamp version as opposed to the old embossed version. He even said he knows because he is a notary public himself. I went to another post office and they accepted it with no problem whatsoever. The supervisor at this branch is incompetent.
I looked for the address of MY post office where my mail is being held for vacation. When I saw the first bad review, I saidTHATS THE ONE! Who ever hires for this particular post office consistently chooses rude, frowning, impatient, grumpy people, or maybe they get that way after they work there! I usually drive any distance to avoid this post office. They had one nice cheerful man working there. You could tell the other grumpy cat ladies did not like him. I always HOPED to get him. Not usually that lucky.I have never been to another post office like this one. But, they are the people who hold mail for my address, so I gotta deal with them.
If I could give zero stars I would. Some how my package was mishandled TWICE. Being sent out to another Post Office no where near me. When I called them and asked what happened they said that someone just put it in the wrong box twice on two separate days. Its been going on now two weeks for something that shouldve been here in 2-5 business days.
Regarding a Hold Mail request: Be advised that the email alerts are much better than the actual service. Came home to find a few items in mailbox. Then on the day mail was to resume, carrier did not deliver our mail. Called South Euclid post office late morning and a woman who identified herself as Debra said she would contact the carrier to return to the post office to get our mail. Waited several hours and no mail came. Called again around 4:50pm and man answered who told me to wait five or ten minutes more that my mail was on its way. No mail. The next day we did finally receive our accumulated mail. Am insulted that postal clerks would lie. What a shame. No wonder people avoid using the post office. If I was told sorry we messed up, I would have got in my car and picked it up. Instead I was given a line of bull. So much for customer service.
If I could rate zero, Id do so gladly. This is the most unprofessional post office, filled with some the laziest, rude cretins who take zero pride in their work and customer service.I called to schedule a redelivery TWICE with these morons and still did not receive my package, and when I called to see if my package was available for pick up, the operator cut me off while I was still talking and placed me on hold so long that I simply hung up.How can people come to work every day, mean, nasty, and rude and have zero pride in themselves? I just dont understand it.Avoid this lazy nut house of a post office if you can.
Terrible customer service. asked to speak to branch manager, she wouldnt even come out. this is not the first time i have had a bad experience at this location, but it is certainly my LAST time dealing with this post office, and USPS in general. i will no longer be using their services to ship packages and i STRONGLY suggest if you are reading this review you read the others, and choose another carrier that believes in serving its customers, respects their customers, and doesnt try to scam them. they have HORRIBLE attitudes at this location, long wait times [due to only one worker being behind the counter, even when the line is out the door], poor management skills, and complete lack of regard for the customer. DONT USE USPS. GO TO UPS, FEDEX, DHL, etc. it may be more expensive but at least you will be appreciated.
I dont know if its the fault of this specific post office or the out of date government institution that is the United States Postal Service but about half of the time something really weird happens - stuff is late, tracking never gets updated, etc. But when it works well, it really does work well. UPS and competing services update tracking and such more often, but they almost always come much later in the day, which is slightly less fun if I have to go to work in the morning and want my package.
Worst US Post Office I have ever encountered. Many different situations where they have lost or stolen my packages. (surprisingly only packages, however mail was always delivered.) Called for assistance, showed up at post office for extra assistance; was given absolutely horrible costumer service.

2022-05-24Yet another piece of mail that ended up in the gutter to be run over by cars until it was probably retrieved by a neighbor who kindly slipped it in my mailbox.Have been missing friends letters, invitations, birthday cards, a work contract, a $1600.00 check and this is for what I was able to piece together. In addition, personnel at this branch is rude and inefficient. Oh yes, and by the way, they deliver other peoples mail at my address although the address on the envelope does not match.

2022-06-21I signed up to receive emails letting me know the mail that I am supposed to receive for that day. On June 10, a check was mailed to me. Here it is June 21st and I still didn’t receive my check! Where is my mail going? Ridiculous!

2022-01-20Delivers mail to the wrong addresses. Sends your mail back to the processing plant without your knowledge. One of my neighbors went into the post office and told them nobody at my address has the last name that was on the mail that was sent to THH HE THEIR House instead of mine and all of my mail was getting sent back to the processing plant! Keep in mind, MULTIPLE people live in my home and we all have different last names. They only know the owner of the house last name, so they think that is everyone in the house’s last name. They didn’t even ask for identification, they just took word from someone going into the post office making decisions for my household!

2022-03-23They do not deliver mail… This is about the fourth or fifth time in the few months I’ve lived here where the South Euclid post office has failed to deliver mail. Tax information, Checks needed to get by, bills, and health insurance paperwork all ruined again

2021-01-19In the 5 years I’ve lived here, there has been only one regular carrier who has been fantastic, and that’s Joe. If I could rate solely on how awesome Joe was, we’d have a 5 star review! But this is for all the carriers before and after him. To be as brief as possible, the problem list includes mail being lost, delivered to my neighbors (on an entirely different street..), packages delivered to other houses, packages being reported delivered then showing up several days later, and having carriers walk through flower beds and landscaping instead of paths, despite lawn signs asking them not to. I might sound like an elderly curmudgeon for that last one, but when you spend money and time to make something nice, it’s pretty disrespectful to have it trampled on. I get delivering mail might be boring sometimes, but I can’t help but think reading an address might be a bit easier if you’re not talking on the phone the whole time.

2021-10-26Very rude front end personnel. When I ask to see manager, manager is always in a meeting. Never telephoned me when I ask to be called. Clerk would not give me change. Another sold me wrong stamps and would not issue refund within seconds of the sale.
