The facts: My Wife got a hand fan shipped from Israel. CLE USPS tried delivering it to my home around Nov 18th. They left a note, so I signed the back, and went to the section that says redeliver and leave it and checked off front porch. They took the note back, but I never heard from them again until Dec 18th. This time, they stuck the note in an envelope and left it in our mailbox. It says it must be picked up at the local post office by the 24th. We waited until Saturday since we work all day during the weekdays. We checked the back of the pink note they left, which says they were open until 2pm on Saturdays. Showed up around 1:10pm, and lo and behold, they had already closed at noon. So the note they left had the wrong times on them. Its a pretty absurd situation. There must be a number of problems occurring with CLE USPS that this happens. Well try to pick up our package again on Monday... Im not convinced well even be getting it at all at this point. So much for that $13 hand fan.
Had to pick up a package that came from Thailand one time and I showed the worker my identification card and she gave me my package. Also when I buy stamps they always give me the cute animals ones with out me having to ask for those particular stamps... not to shabby..... is what I say while leaving after purchasing stamps.
Im not sure where to complain about the USPS in Cleveland but I live in Little Italy & they never pick my mail up. They even sit my delivered mail on top of my letters Im sending out. I have to always walk it down to the mail box on the corner, which makes my mail a day or two late. I run an online business & I sell things so it sucks to always have my customers waiting extra time than I told them because the mail people are lazy. I never get my mail delivered on time & the mail man even complained about having to work harder to pick up my packages.....Really confused about that. Glad I read all of this feedback everyone else left, I will never go to this post office.
Old, historic post office (look up, the mural dates back to the early 20th century) doing the best it can to provide services valued far above price. Ive had to come back, or stand in line, due to staffing - it happens. The USPS isnt instant, if you need that, pay ten times and send your letter via UPS - or plan ahead so you can come back. Im also a young white male and love both the ladies behind the windows... A smile, respect, and patience go a long way. Remember to put yourself in others shoes - understaffed with most everyone ticked at them? Were all human.
Walked up at around 2pm today, right as I was reaching for the handle the lady inside slams a piece of paper on the window saying she wont be back till 3:35 pm and locks the door in my face. I know she saw me lock my bike and saw me try to open the door. Ive heard the workers here were very rude, but didnt experience it until now. Dont come here, cause Ill be biking another 20 minutes to get to the next post office just to avoid these people.
Worst post office Ive ever been to or experienced! They really should shut this place down, fire everyone that works there and all of the mail carriers, and just try again. The carriers are lazy (wont deliver packages or often even leave package slips), the people who work at the location are lazy and extremely rude and make up a new story every time you go into this place just so they dont have to get off their butts and actually do something. I recently moved and was dismayed to find out Im still stuck with this horrendous post office! Its really a constant nightmare dealing with these people
BOOOOOOO! first...every other post office I have ever been to has the flat rate boxes available without waiting in line. This location does not...why??? I guess so you get so angry waiting in the ridiculously long line you just leave anyway.Terrible customer service! I only ever see 2 rude middle age bitter women working ugh! they never speak nor smile! maybe they dont have teeth idk.One day the old lady got smart with me for not having my box taped up, mind you I needed a flat rate box that she gave me and having to use her tape I said I just dont have my own flat rate boxes lying around at home & damn they dont have courtesy tape smh........ isnt the post office where you get boxes & tape!!!!They need to put those ladies in the retirement pool asap!everything is out of date in there from the décor to the workers. workers dont know crap.
Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The woman behind the counter had no interest in providing any help or answering questions. On top of that she was rude and condescending. No wonder the USPS is in the financial dumps. Try finding employees capable of doing their job. Would avoid this place at all costs
I was a bit apprehensive to go there due to the other reviews, but decided to give it a try, because this one is the only near me. I went at 11 AM on a Tuesday, so there were only 2 other customers in the lobby the entire time I was there. The lady behind the window was very friendly. It was an excellent experience for me. 10/10 would go there again.
They randomly close the ONE window with a crude cardboard sign saying no service for ... whatever time suits that ONE employee on that ONE day. It’s the picture on their website for Pete’s sake. Lazy attitude. Are you feeling lucky? I wasn’t today.I’m feeling pissed off.
If you want to ruin your day, call their customer service and ask about your package. Office lady will ignore you with totally rude attitude and tell you package will come tomorrow. Oh of course without checking your tracking numbers. Government should fire them all :)
I tried to go today during lunch, showed up at 1:15pm to find the entire place empty with a sign on one window that indicated they were Out to lunch from 1pm-2:30pm. Really? Only one person was working so they shut they whole place down? I cant believe that but was sorely disappointed.
Apparently attempted delivery on a package three times without leaving one notification. Though the USPS goes through a locked door to drop off mail because Im in an apartment building, they said there was no secure place to leave the package. Locked door insecure? hmmm.

2018-07-15We had a very positive experience. It was empty on a Saturday and we had no problem getting our business taken care of. Was delighted to find a 1930s-era Work Progress Administration project building with nearly all the original furnishings in tact. the building is a gem, complete with WPA plaque and mural. Take a minute to appreciate the streamline details, the original pen fixtures on the desk, and the beautiful mural.

2021-08-26I have had the most unhelpful experience with the staff at this USPS not once but TWICE. This USPS needs workers who are more dedicated to delivering people’s packages to the right place and to helping them through customer service issues. I have never felt so unsupported in my entire life.

2021-09-10I had the most wonderful experience at this post office. They were incredibly friendly, kind and welcoming. I rarely write reviews and I usually dread going to the post office, but this place left me feeling happier than when I arrived! I am visiting from out of town and I am wishing this was my neighborhood post office.

2021-08-30If you send a package to someone in Cleveland and the apt number is not on it and you try to contact the post office after it’s gone back for address verification. They just send it back without even paying any attention to your address correction. Then call you 5 days after the fact and be very rude to you! Worst customer service I have ever ever had. What a disgrace!

2018-08-01Unbelievable. Walked in the other day during NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS and was greeted with a makeshift sign taped on the attendant window saying that the office was closed for lunch. What kind of operation do they have going on here?

2020-08-31I was on a video call with a friend who was trying to mail some packages. My friend had questions but doesn’t speak much English. The woman at this Cleveland post office was very patient as I translated. Very good customer service! Wish I had caught the woman’s name! She was very nice, patient, professional and friendly!

2015-10-27All I wanted to do was ship a care package to my girlfriend in Ireland. Ive never shipped a package before so instead of acting like I know what Im doing and making a mess of it I decided to ask for help, I tried to be nice and courteous but the lady behind the desk acted like doing her job and assisting me was the single worst thing thats ever happened to her and that Id just ruined her entire day by asking a handful of questions about what to fill in and where. Id rather pay twice as much and ship with someone else next time just simply because the workers are awful. The FedEx place I went to before the guy took the time to walk me through it step by step too bad they cost more then I could afford. Avoid this place and pay extra if you can, maybe USPS will get the message and and restaff the place.

2013-03-27I dont know their names because they dont wear name tags, but the two African American women who are usually working, one has a bob curled under and one has her hair up with a white streak in it all the time have quite an attitude . I have an online business and have been coming here for almost 3 years (only because it is the only one in my area) so my statements are based on many bad experiences. I dont know her name and have never asked, she would probably give me a fake name anyways, but the woman with the curled under bob I asked for a piece of tape from her dispenser for my package. She told me no, I would have to buy an entire roll of packing tape for $5. I agreed because I had no other choice. A few weeks later I am waiting in line behind an African American man who walks up to the desk with his mail, asks her for a piece of tape from her dispenser, and she gives it to him!!! Surely she remembers denying me the same request? Such attitude these women greet me with when I walk up with a smile on my face, and their demeanor changes when interacting with a black person. I am a white college student and have seen these women treat people who go in there differently based on skin color numerous times. If USPS is going down the tubes, this location should be one of the first to go to cut down on expense. The two women here should NOT have a position that requires good communication skills. They recently hired a very nice black gentleman which I am very thankful they did! Because the women are unbearable.
