I had a notification that a package had been delivered to my house but it was nowhere to be found. I submitted an inquiry around midnight and promptly got a call the next morning from a very polite person who let me know that it got sorted incorrectly, was at the facility and would be delivered later in the day. An inconvenience, yes but what hasnt been inconvenient since the pandemic?! The fact that they called not even 12 hours after I filed the inquiry and had a solution was enough for me! I really appreciated that!
I went to this post office purely to drop off a pre-labeled package to be shipped. It took far too long but it was in no way the employees fault. The woman working the counter was an absolute saint in the way she dealt with a customer in front of me. Kudos to your patience and calm demeanor in a frustrating situation!
So far so good no issues at this location Ive had my p.o box for 4 years now😊
I paid for next day delivery to my mother in an assisted living facility. They didnt deliver and claimed that they couldnt access the building which is not true or logical. There is someone at the door and a doorbell for entry. This is just the evidence of delivery people who just dont care.
My package was supposed to be delivered on Saturday to my dads home. I tracked my package Saturday evening around 6pm. They claimed to have attempted delivery and had left a notification. I drove from Kentucky to my dads house on Sunday and he said they did not come and that there isnt a notification. I checked his porch, doorway and mailbox and guess what, no notification, no proof that delivery was attempted. Monday I call the Taft branch and the employee on the phone was VERY rude. She found my package and said that her supervisor was the person who had delivered it, and she kept repeating that over and over. I asked her well why didnt your supervisor leave notice that delivery was attempted? Also, my dad was home the entire time and never heard the doorbell or a knock from her supervisor. The lady on the phone became very rude and hung up on me. Every time I have to deal with this post office I have nothing but problems. They lie about deliveries, deliver mail whenever they want and lack people skills. This place needs to be shut down!
The staff at this PO have always been extremely polite and professional. We really liked Travis, our old mail carrier. Very friendly guy who kept an eye on our packages to be sure nothing was ever stolen. He has a new route now but he still waves to us whenever we seem him. We miss ya Travis!
I had to send a package to my dad, and after reading all the negative reviews and stuff, I went in expecting the worst. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. The woman at the counter helped me find exactly what kind of box I needed (and even folded the box for me), walked me through the process (I had never actually shipped anything before), and was absolutely delightful through the whole process. I regret not getting her name so that I could call her out specifically. But to the post office employee who used to live in Grindstone City, if youre reading this, thank you so much for your help!
I live close by but will travel extra miles to avoid this place. An older woman clerk is condescending and even argumentative. Her approach is that shes doing us a favor and when she makes an error she always seems to blame the customer.
I called because I have a missing delivery. The person answered the phone immediately and was able to track the delivery via GPS (pretty cool). My package got delivered to my neighbor, likely due to a carrier who is new to our route. Postal official on phone was very cordial and invited me to call back if I cant get package.
This is my go-to P.O. and theyre all very kind. There never seems to be enough employees there, so they are overwhelmed quite often. My Grandfather worked for the USPO for 28 years and I know what a thankless and endless job it is.I always appreciate how thorough they are and helpful, as well as patient with people. I appreciate this branch and am thankful they are there.
I never ever had issues with postal folk. Only reason I am giving it a three star instead of one is because the person on the phone was polite when I called yesterday and I will be calling today.Over the weekend the post woman left our packages on the stairs, when I went to get them which was right after she left I notice they looked like she just tossed them there. lucky nothing was damaged but I was disappointed. Yesterday I was waiting on more packages one of them included similar content as was delivered over the weekend, my fiance even waited for her outside and then came upstairs to inform me that she was here and he would bring up the mail for me so I can take care of our new born. When he went back downstairs there was no packages but instead a note saying sorry we missed you. First off, what attempt did she make to reach us? second I know one of the packages was pretty much identical in items and she was able to deliver them on friday/saturday but now she couldnt monday? Is it pick what to deliver day? I worked for fedex and I know its not the same as usps but still I dont think they would like to hear their drivers tossing packages and deciding when they wanna deliver stuff. Can I toss her packages? and make her wait for items she need because I didnt feel like deliverying them or I didnt feel like reaching her. Ill leave a comment again if the person on the phone does nothing or if she doesnt deliver again and I will be speaking to someone higher up if I need to.
Poor service I have updates on packages to be delivered. Never received some even though it says delivered. I use ebay alot and its hard to get refunds . Ordered a phone Never got Ordered headphones Never got ect..but it says delivered. Home all day I am retired so no way would I miss deliverys. Very sad post office.
Carriers from this location routinely deliver the wrong mail to my address. After speaking with my neighbors, its a recurring issue and something they also deal with daily. Ive attempted to contact their office, as well as physically drive to the location to speak with someone regarding the issue. Apparently the supervisors are never on location and the employees refuse to give a contact number for anyone from their office. This continues to go unresolved and I receive mail from blocks away daily.
I’ve put my name everywhere possible to make it clear what apartment I live in and even still the mail gents continuously put my mail and other tenants mail on the steps, or in other peoples mailboxes.. I’ve spoken two of the mail gents about this, theirs a sign on my door which is literally right next to the mailboxes, that has my apartment number on it and my last name as well as a post it taped to the mailbox and one random mail guy wrote the names on the inside of the mailbox.. This is ridiculous and I’m so over it… They are lazy and rude and can’t get through to anyone inside the office..
I went there this afternoon about 15 minutes before close and I don’t remember the lady who was there but she was incredibly rude. She wasn’t patient in explaining things to these two ladies who didnt speak English (got mad when they were on the phone) and literally every single person who walked in the door, was very condescending, and not helpful. I know that it has to be a tough job, but you can still treat people with respect. They also can’t print off a shipping label for you. It was a pointless trip and I will never be back to this location ever again. If I could, I would give them zero stars.
6 years now dealing with these guys. For me, its trying to start and stop mail thats a nightmare. I travel a lot and they almost always start the hold too soon (holding up a package(s) I needed before going out of town) and about 50% of the time my mail takes days after the hold ends to show up. Sometimes, if Im really lucky, I have to physically go to this location to pick up my mail and any boxes b/c the mail hold just never ends. My mail will just pile up there, days or longer after the hold ended. I have no idea what they think will happen to it if I dont leave work early or go in late just to drive over and pick up my own !@#$%$@ mail. Seriously, you guys are the worst.EDIT: I forgot one of my favorite things about this crappy post office. Often, mail will deliver really late in the day. Many times, I havereceived a notification that a package could not be delivered for some bs reason and that another delivery attempt will need to me made the next day. Heh, yeah, those are always at 7-8pm at night or later. So its that late when the status of the package is changed to undeliverable that day, even though my neighbors and I are obviously home and its clear that status was faked b/c they are so far behind that day and dont want to bother at that point (and I will always get those packages the next morning, first thing. Hmm...) XD
This P.O. is horrible. They lost one package I sent out for my business, took 2 days to find a certified letter I was sent, usually only have one employee working so lines are long; the only employee who is nice and efficient has blonde hair.
Apparently I had an undelivered package. There was NO NOTICE that I received although it was registered mail. Then, finally, I was able to get a scheduled re-delivery. Hopefully, the USPS will finally deliver a package sent almost 4 weeks ago.Absurd. Some of these incompetent carriers should be FIRED.
The mail carrier with dreads steal packages be aware. I had to chase him down 3 times packaged said delivered but not to me. Ended up being on his truck the third time after the supervisor called!!

Just as all locations, slow inefficient and loooong waits. Have your credit cards signed on the back or the gestapo will not do business with you. Also, bring a chair for your wait and maybe some headphones so you dont have to hear all of the complaints prior to your inevitable complaint too. Cant wait to see this company go out of business. Building is trash, employees are slow and all together this place needs nuked.
I just moved to this area, and I dont have a locked mailbox where Im renting from. So I purchased a P.O. Box. Unfortunately I am still getting mail at the address where theres no locked Mailbox. These postal workers try to be professional however they are not. Im very sad to say, I have mail that Im missing , and have not received. Im not sure what to do. It is The United states post office. Their business should be together.
My opinion: This post office is the slowest post office in thee world! On multiple occasions I have spent at least 25 minutes waiting in line. And the clerks purposely move slow like theyre trying to provide terrible customer service. I have lived in many places, including internationally and this post office ranks -2 amongst them all. This is just my opinion.
I cannot even begin to convey how inept these employees are. I submitted a hold mail request that was meant to last a week while I was on vacation. I went to pick it up as my confirmation email specifies and Im told its not there, the carrier probably has it out. Why? So I go back home to find it isnt there. So not only was my request not followed, but I never got a call from the supervisor to figure out what in the hell happened to my mail.
This post office is the slowest Ive ever visited. The clerk spends an excessive amount of time talking to customers about personal issues. Theres always at least 20-25 minute wait time. I absolutely hate it when I have to go inside.
I would like to thank Jill Lewis, Station Manager, at your post office for helping me out with a problem I was having all the way from Kentucky. She restores my faith in humanity and in the post office. Thank you Jill for going above and beyond for me.
With the exception of my mail being given to the wrong person once, the employees there have been nothing but nice. They do the best they can given that post office is extremely busy.
I had a good experience at the Silverton Post Office. No wait time and very helpful staff. They even have a few gift cards for sale now.
Went here for a change of address because apparently the 1st didnt actually go through. Theres literally no sign that my 2nd one went through either. Smh.
They continuously say that attempted to leave a package and NEVER ATTEMPT! I sat on my balcony and watched them go to the box and drive right off! Go to the mailbox and see the pink paper! Liars! I am 100% over this! Also saying they delivered a package and IT IS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND! Cant even call them!

Theyve been friendly every time Ive gone there and I have never had an issue getting anything done in person. The mail carriers, however, routinely give my mail to my neighbors and vice versa.
Worst post office ever. Still waiting on a redelivery from 2 weeks ago... with a confirmation number. Its ridiculous! And no one answers the phone. They wonder why no one uses snail mail any more.

Its 3pm, and the outside mailbox is too full to put any more letters in it. Normally, I give my mail to my carrier who I know I can trust anyway.

2022-02-18Completely terrible. I’ve been waiting 3 days for a package that keeps going out but never gets delivered (and no it doesn’t need to be signed for). No one answers the phone despite when or how many times you call and speaking to the operator is a complete headache. Employee was more focused on her personal phone conversation than actually trying to resolve the issue. It’s a complete waste of time going to the actual post office you’d just have to repost your mail/package stolen or play the waiting game.

2022-03-23Please google post this review because it is important they really screw up your mail. Or u don’t get it. They should be closed. They only deliver 1-2 days a week. They purposely keep their phone busy. There is no contact. They are slow and my mail is missing. The National Post Office needs to actually come to this post office.They make it impossible to call. They are really really bad. They only have one person to helpand refuse to use a second employee out front.

2022-07-18Why is Silverton post office closed on certain days . They do not come at all or deliver everydayMy mail is so slow getting delivered. Some maildoesn’t ever come. Silverton post office keepstheir phone line busy or it is a fax machinenobody can get through. I have called the National Post Office and was told that number is for the public to call. They are lazy. They need to be inspected. If u come in person there is only one person at the front desk. There is always a very long line. They are the worst post office ever. I wish my mail could be delivered by a different post office.

2022-02-19Mail is only delivered once a week on my street. The mailman is more concerned about prior tenants and putting my name on my mailbox box. I’ve been missing mail that was supposed to arrive a week ago. Been calling the post office but no success. Waiting on a package that was supposed to be delivered Friday, now says Tuesday . Next stop filing complaint and going by post office.

2022-01-15I lived in pleasant ridge. Sold my house and needed to get a p. o. box for my mail. I went with Taft Post Office. Best decision I could have made. The people there are courteous, professional, and get the job done. I have never had a problem with them and this is now about 20 years. Best Post Office ever.

2022-06-17Would be zero stars if that were possible. They basically choose when they want to deliver packages or not. The local phone number doesn’t even work, it picks up and you hear dial up tones for 45 seconds then it hangs up. The 800 number is useless as well.

2021-11-09I’ve lived in this neighborhood 7 years. I NEVER get my Mail. It’s always a problem. I never have things delivered they never come. I maybe once a week receive a mail delivery. It’s completely incompetent. I’ve been to the office so many times to address it never makes a difference always a waste of my time. I have cancer they can’t bother to put my Mail in my mailbox. They throw it on the floor for the whole building to see. Lazy pathetic workers that should be ashamed of theirselves.Please do better!!!! Just a little better.
