United States Postal Service in other cities:
This is the WORST post office that I have ever visited in my life. They made an appointment for me at 12:45pm to come and re-new my passport. There is no visible information stating if you have to get in line when you get there. The line of people mailing things was so long I had to wait. What is the point of making an appointment just to be told you are in the wrong line?????? What a cluster of a mess. There is absolutely NO organization. Please respect people’s time and post details on what YOUR customers should do when they get there AND honor the time you promised when they made the appointment. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!
Mailed five packages via 2-Day priority mail. One week later and only 2 of the 5 were showing movement/delivered. I called the PO and was told to be patient and give them time to update. Its moving but you dont see it. Not sure what the point of paying for priority mail is when it isnt followed. As such, Ill likely lose my poshmark sale because it isnt showing as sent after 7 days. I understand reasonable delays in delivery but to not have moved at all after 7 days seems excessive. I would ship any packages elsewhere.
One more negative review wont hurt or even matter since nothing is being done about this place. You would think people would be more considerate when it comes to things like this.I was expecting a package (paid for next day delivery) and received the notifications that my package was going to arrive next day (Saturday) as planned and paid for. Although I was home the entire day and did not see a mail truck the entire time , my package somehow was undelivered and a notice was left at 2p-note my mail always comes after 4-4:30p.When i checked, no note was left and no one else received any mail. not only did i pay for next day delivery but the package contained a crown for my daughters first birthday that i needed.first thing Monday morning I called twice; the first time they checked and told me my package will arrive Monday but had no more to say. when i called the second time i asked for a supervisor and was put on hold and told the same thing. I expressed my frustration and explained i paid for next day and it was an important package and her response was Okay. Literally, the supervisor told me Okay not even an apology or sorry for the inconvenience or this wont happy again. Just an Okay.I did not know a post office could pick and choose when they want to deliver mail and what mail they want to deliver. This place and those people who receive those paychecks for nothing is completely ridiculous.I am always receiving other peoples mail and have called to try to stop it but nothing has been done, for 2 days it seem like it stopped but i guess they got tired of checking for the right mail. (funny thats their job)I do not even write reviews but wanted to add to this negative place. i would give no stars if i could.
Very bad USPS branch! Items never delivered despite their tracking claiming it had. I notice others having the same complaint. I swore off having the USPS deliver packages several years ago. I became weak, and accepted shipping by USPS. Never again. Leave letter delivery to USPS and package delivery to UPS and Fedex. If this means first class mail delivery needs to cost more, so be it. The only other alternative is to privatize the USPS and accept the commensurate increase in the price of letter delivery. There no longer can be a one size fits all price.
I have visited the PO branch on Green Road on several occasions. They always scan my packages, answer questions and I am just as happy.UPDATE: am still happy with this branch but am unhappy with the postal carrier. I placed a letter in the mailbox to be sent to a certain address, and low & behold, it was placed back in my mailbox unscanned, with the street address circled. This is UNACCEPTABLE as the address was perfectly correct, I sent letters to this address in the past without problems. Someone is too lazy to scan it and have it go to where it was addressed? Or what? Smh. I am very disappointed. USPS needs to give a better training to their carriers.
I just had the best experience ever at this post office. Wendy , the mgr I believe, took care of me even though there was only one person in line ahead of me. She took the time to show me how to ship packages using the self serve kiosk and even suggested that I could use the fixed rate medium size box to save $5 . Then she even helped me switch to the flat rate box. Sure hope this is the beginning of a new service attitude at the Beachwood post office !
This Post office is a mess. I had a friend drop off a package because she works for the USPS she thought it would be safer to do so. When the friend I was sending it to got it was EMPTY! One of the employees stole out of the envolope and sealed it back! Im so disgusted! I wish she wouldve never bought the package here and then it wouldve made it to my friend. It doesnt matter where the contents was stolen the people at the USPS should not be stealing its disturbing! I wish I could give 0 stars.
Tried to purchase $1.60 stamp from Kiosk on Sunday, April 25th. No stamp was dispensed.Came in today (5/5) for refund and was told nothing we can do, the stamp ALWAYS comes out. You just didnt see it! by an employee names Lesley. She was rude, and dismissive.I then spoke to a manager who did refund me in part cash and part stamp.I will stay away from this Post Office....
Arrived at 5:57pm Friday afternoon and was told they were closed because I didn’t box my items so I’ll basically make them close late if I buy a box/envelop in store and ship things. Wow it’s so important for them to close on time that they can basically pre-close the store. Crazy
Horrible service! My mail is terribly late every day! Last week I only got mail for 3 days! Several days no mail. Yesterday August 12TH, I got the Jury Summons that should have been submitted on August 7th! Carriers tell me there is no assigned carrier for my route! They all must do overtime to do my route! Highland Hills!
Worst post office ever!!!! Always have the most terrible time there but decided this time Id arrive early and hopefully get out of there in under an hour (because thats the average time youre normally there). My mother and I walk in with two very large boxes and we are struggling to carry them (Im 32 weeks pregnant and my mom has arthritis) and we walk in thanking god we are the only customers in there. I address the boxes and we stand there and wait while three employees stand and talk to one another without ever looking up from the desk or even saying hello to us. I go to ask one a question and she says she isnt available...really I thought you were at your place of work? I literally wanted to ask to make sure I was putting the correct label on the box, Im sorry to have disturbed you. Finally another customer walks in and then another and then another and then about 5 minutes later one of the clerks mumbles she is ready. My mother and I let the women behind us go first since she is only getting stamps and then its our turn (finally). When I get up to the counter I put both boxes on the counter and the lady never looks up but tells me I need to lift the boxes and put them on her scale. I have NEVER been asked to do this before at any other post office. Im not really sure what their job is because they literally make you do all the work. Thinking ahead I tell her the dimensions of the box are at the top and she literally rolls her eyes and signs because she cant see the top of the box. Well I am so sorry to have inconvenienced you by providing the measurements...then somehow the packages we are shipping which we have shipped the same at other post offices were literally double in price here. When we questioned it of course they get all defensive. Then out of frustration the clerk pushes the first box towards me which pushes the other box behind it right at me, I quickly move but the box slams on the ground. I waited thinking maybe Id hear a sorry or oh my goodness I didnt see that I apologize are you okay, did the box hurt you? But go figure no human decency instead she mumbles I didnt see the other box and doesnt even react. Both my mom and I asked for a manager and of course all the clerks back each other up saying she didnt see both boxes by yet we stood here for 20 minutes right in front of you and even if she didnt see it she didnt even apologize. If I were to act like this at my job Id be fired in an instant. Obviously this is also how they treat people in their personal life as well. Even in preschool they teach kids to say sorry when they make a mistake. Long story short management did nothing except stand there and we got the hell out of there. I just dont understand how people can act like it is such an inconvenience for them to ship your boxes when thats what that establishment is supposed to do. If you dont like your job leave. I would never treat a customer they way they treat everyone who walks in there. Absolutely unacceptable. Next time I would literally drive out of my way to another county/city to deliver anything.
They SUCK BIG TIME!!!😞 My mail lady had been putting my mail in the area under the mailboxes instead of in my mailbox which is clearly labeled with my name. This had been going on for close to a week. Informed the manager, he said hold on while I get some paper to write your name and address on. He bypassed another managers office and a mail clerk/cashier to go in the back where the carriers were. Knew he wasnt taking me serious especially when he didnt return after 8 minutes. Didnt have time for the game so I left. Guess Ill be writing the postmaster general for help!!!
I really shouldve checked the reviews before visiting this post office, but now that Im here Im not surprised. The clerks at this post office clearly are unhappy in their personal lives and have to carry that baggage into work every day. They have zero interest in getting you through the line and will give you a hard time about anything they can. They will make you address and readdress your package for no real reason simply because they are spiteful and unhappy.Go to the post office on Warrensville Center Road and save yourself a miserable afternoon.
At the Beachwood post office today, one of the workers behind the counter was wearing her mask under her chin. When I asked her politely to please cover her mouth and nose with the mask, she said she didn’t have to, because there was a clear screen in front of her. Personally, I don’t believe that the screen is sufficient. The other worker behind the counter was wearing her mask correctly. What do you think?
Really surprised by the negative reviews. Im here all the time and get friendly, efficient, professional service. Ive had literally hundreds of transactions here and never encountered anything unreasonable (other than customers). Yes, they get slammed sometimes and you have to wait a few minutes, but a) thats true of every post office and b) most of the wait is because people are afraid to use the machine.
The physical office has sub-par service. I agree with the previous reviews: long wait time, slow service, irritated/disgruntled clerks. These people should be working in the back offices not at the front desk as the customer service first line.HOWEVER, the mail carriers out of this office are WONDERFUL!! We love our carrier - she is so sweet, personable, funny, and kind. She does a great job and is very pleasant. She usually spends a few minutes talking with us, so we look forward to when she comes in. Other carriers who have filled in for her are also friendly and professional.
I have not stepped into the office here but my carriers are out of this office. I have asked two carriers directly not to walk through my garden or yard. I have also placed at least 3 calls to corporate for which I was told the branch manager would call me back. I did receive a call back the second time and was told that the situation would be handled. However, this is not the case. My security cameras catch the carrier walking through my garden or yard almost daily. My house is only set back ~20 ft from the public sidewalk that the city even plows in the winter. That doesn’t matter though, since I have kept all pavement, including the main sidewalk, clean of snow all winter for them to have a pathway. Instead, they walk through the half foot deep snow across the garden and subsequently knock snow back onto my walkway. When there isn’t snow, they step over the barrier I’ve put around the garden after failed attempts to get them to stop. To make it all worse, they’ve withheld delivery of our mail in the past after issuing complaints. It’s beyond infuriating. The carriers need to learn respect and customer service. I would be denied delivery of my mail if I didn’t shovel the snow, but worse, they’ve damaged my multiple items in my garden by not using the pathways provided. Not only have serveral plants and a couple hedges been ruined, a $20 fencing around the perimeter of my garden has been trampled on in multiple locations and at least two pathway lights have been broken as a result of their behavior (by kicking them from walking over them instead of between them).Perhaps it is time to file a claim for damages against the delivery carriers, the branch managers, and USPS for not fixing this problem. 6 months has been long enough!! Use the sidewalks that are provided and quit trespassing on people’s property where you don’t belong.
By far THE WORST customer service(if you can even call it service) more like disservice. I dropped a very important package at this office for post on a Wednesday for Friday delivery in Atlanta. The clerk had THE WORST attitude imaginable, I had to ask her how she was doing, if her day was ok? When I attempted to post I couldn’t lift the package, so a gentleman helped me, she says. “If it’s over 70 pounds you have to take it somewhere else. First of all she hadn’t ever weighed it, so the comment was unnecessary and after weighing it(39lbs) she just huffed and puffed (fat a$$ couldn’t breathe) then told me it would be at the destination by Friday. Here it’s saturday and I find out the package has only made it to Pittsburg! I’m in Cleveland, Which means it was clearly sent out for delivery on Friday, not Wednesday, the day I had paid and expected it to post. So now my package is not going to be delivered on time and it’s a holiday weekend. I have filed a complaint against this office and will now have to file insurance claim because I’ve incurred a tremendous loss due to the contents being time sensitive materials.I would STRONGLY discourage anyone from doing businesss here. It is a customer service NIGHTMARE. Everyone should be fired IMMEDIATELY, And the new hires need customer care boot camp! They could learn some things from Chick fil A.
I have visited the Beachwood Branch under several different occasions I have been met courtesy kindness and professionalism. The manager Wendy Wright is perfect example of professionalism kindness and patience. She has a very outgoing personality that’s leaves you feeling good. Everyone should follow her example.
The Beachwood Post Office is unbelievably bad, and other reviewers have summarized it well- the staff is rude, and most unhelpful. There are many apartments in this area, and this post office will not deliver mail to the doorstep, which is Ok. But what is not OK is that the mailman will not leave the boxes in the designated mail area, or with the leasing office, even if the Amazon package clearly states in plain english, signature confirmation not required or Leave if no response.Even this would be OK if I had to collect my package from a post office that showed some signs of efficiency- lines are long, service is awfully slow, and the staff simply dont have any customer service etiquette. There is no separate line for pickup of the packages, and I simply cannot understand why I should have to stand for 30-40 minutes in line to pick up a package that would and should have been delivered to my doorstep, by any decent carrier anywhere else in the world.Any complaint goes to a central processing facility, who have a pre-printed response that endorses the actions of the local post officeI have often wondered how, in this day and age of competition, this Post office hasnt been completely driven out of businessI have actually stopped buying from Amazon just for this reason........
I rarely use this post office for it is awful. I just left there today. Once again another terrible employee with a terrible attitude. I dropped off a prepaid box for delivery. The woman behind the counter informed me, we could no longer drop off prepaid packages. She also told me to use the drop box. Duh, obviously the drop box was stuck (as usual). Any other post office allows prepaid packages to be dropped off at the counter. The employees at this post office have a horrible attitude. This is a constant. If they dont like their jobs then they should seek employment elsewhere and not deal with the public. Their attitudes are beyond ridiculous, the absolute worst anywhere! And they lose packages within the building. The US Postal Service should really investigate this post office.
Is it possible to give them 0 stars? Have had multiple bad experiences with this branch. Speaking to a supervisor is just useless as they are no better when it comes to attitudes. Unfortunately I have no choice to come to this branch to pick up packages. However, for anything else, I prefer the location on Warrensville Center Rd in Shaker Heights. UGH is my word to describe this Green Rd location.
Couldnt have been happier with the service Wendy provided me today when I was using the self service kiosk to mail priority mail packages - there were people in line behind us and Wendy helped me quickly get the labels for all my packages processed with a great sense of humor. Thanks, Wendy!
If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is THE WORST. I ALWAYS have a problem EVERY time I go to this location. I dont know how any of them still have jobs- terrible customer service and unwilling to help anyone in anyway. Today was the LAST time I will ever step foot in this location. After I was called up to the desk and said hi to the woman behind the desk, I wasnt given any response, but a blank stare. I told her that I had an international package to ship. She proceeded to tell me that the box had to be taped closed before she would do anything and that there was tape behind me that I COULD BUY. Are you kidding me? Then she hands me a customs form and says fill this out and come back. NO HELP, NO DIRECTION, NO EXPLANATION- NOTHING! We are all doing their jobs for them BUT theyre getting paid for it! LAZY, LAZY, LAZY! Its not my first sour encounter with her and Ive witnessed her doing the same things with other customers too. There is absolutely NO customer service here.
This post offices employees STEAL from customers!! I rent a PO Box at this location and have received package delivery confirmation(s) from multiple senders on different occasions. However, my Fedex deliveries NEVER make it inside my PO Box as indicated. Horrible service!!
This is the first place Ive ever lost my temper, the person was condescending, unhelpful, and seem to be purposefully being difficult so they dont have to do any passport applications. Nobody in a customer service setting should be that rude and accuse someone of not being able to read just because they didnt have the decency to ask questions before starting the application process. This person should not have a job in a customer service setting.I would recommend going elsewhere (i.e. library or a place that welcomes people applying for a passport) it took very little time at the library and everyone was very friendly!
Just had a surprisingly quick and pleasant experience here compared to what I’ve dealt with at this particular post office. I used to dread coming here due to the long wait times and poor attitudes of the employees, but it looks like they are trying to turn things around for the better.
We placed a mail hold and do it the day before we travel to catch problems. Every single time the mail hold did not work, even with contacting the post office and speaking with the carriers. Twice this time. The people we spoke to insisted everything was in place. This has happened FIVE times in a row and now there is a sixth incident. My husband returned home to find the mail in front of our house despite the online system telling us that everything was in place. This is professional incompetence above and unbecoming to the USPS system. I am going to run this up the flagpole and wonder if others have experienced the same problem.
If I could give them 0 stars, I most certainly would. They dont deliver up to our apartment like UPS does. Theyre lazy, undependable, and give you an attitude at the front desk. I wish I didnt have to receive Amazon orders through them anymore, especially expedited ones that I pay extra for in order to receive them on time and at my apartment, only to have to pick them up one or two days late!
HORRIBLE customer service reps...15 min plus wait times, and understaffed counter. If I could rate a zero I would. Rude and entitled government employees that are employed soley due to affirmative action. They forget not only do we pay to use their services but they additionally cost taxpayers $18 billion a year. Would be cheaper to close the postal service, use UPS and put these employees on welfare.
Reviewer Nathan010694 Gilbert asks in his review, what do we think? His issue was with a worker not wearing a mask properly, although there was Plexiglass between him and the worker. Nathan010694 Gilbert thought a MASK was more protection than Plexiglass? What I think, Nathan010694 Gilbert, is that you are a special kind of stupid.
WORST USPS EVER, IF THERE IS A ZERO STAR I WOULD GIVE IT!! I AM TRYING TO FIND MY PACKAGE AND COULD NOT FIND IT ANYWHERE, THEY ASKED ME IRRELEVANT QUESTIONS SUCH AS GOING TO THE LEASING OFFICE AT MY APARTMENT (THERE IS NO LEASING OFFICE, ONLY A MAIL ROOM IN THE BASEMENT). THEY NEED TO RETRAIN THEIR EMPLOYEES AND BE KIND TO THEIR CUSTOMERS BETTER

2022-02-05Filled out form inside this post office to have mail stopped and restarted {Name, Address and dates}. It mattered Not. Returned and found mail continued to be delivered. No small wonder The USPS aint what it used to be. I say, Bring on the Change for the betterment of US citizens. We deserve better.

2022-06-25After being cancelled twice from the Cleveland Heights post office for a passport I scheduled at this location. Tiera was polite, efficient and informative. Very straight forward process. All around great experience.

2021-11-08No point in trying send packages during off hours any longer because once youve finished paying for postage using the kiosk, the package drawer is always jammed shut! It wasnt always this way. So you still have to wait for the post office to open to send your package. When you mention this to the employees, they just shrug because they dont care!

2022-02-08I have informed mail which sends me a picture of all of the postal mail that I would receive each day. Beachwood post office carrier’s either deliver my mail a day late or stretch the truth and put various reasons why my packages can’t be delivered. One time they said that they couldn’t access our property. We don’t have a gate or dog. You simply walk right up to the door/mailbox. Another time they said that the weather was bad. It was a clear day. I’ve had to drive to the post office on several different occasions to pick up my packages. If Amazon can do it Beachwood should be able to successfully deliver too. I never had any mail problems until moving here.

2020-10-14I visited this post office the day after Indigenous Peoples Day (Columbus Day), plus three weeks before the pandemic election of 2020. So in addition to the USPS being completely slammed with voting by mail, the day I visited there were a ton of people mailing things out too. With all that being said I was incredibly impressed by the speed and efficiency this post office operated. The employees made sure everything remained orderly and clear as to which line everyone belonged in. Plus the line moved quickly and efficiently. My experience at this post office was great and I wish more places operated this efficiently.

2021-12-30They are always fast and efficient and pleasant. Far better than the service at the Warrensville Road branch. I’ll drive out of my way to use this post office branch, it’s well run.

2021-10-29I had an issue with a very important piece of government mail that was delivered after I had moved out. The carrier (Vicki? I hope I’m not wrong) was the one who retrieved it without being told to, just because she noticed it’s probably important and someone will come looking for it. I appreciate your help Vicki! Everyone at this branch were nice and tried to help, but it was Vicki who saved the day! Thank you! ❤️

2021-04-22Terrible workers here. One younger lady specifically has the worst attitude of any of them and should be fired immediately. I dropped off a prepaid overnight priority express envelope. They never scanned it in and said it was my fault for not watching them scan it into the computer. It took 10 days to deliver with the only scan being when it was delivered. Awful service and a joke of a post office.
