If I could rank 0 I would. These idiots wouldnt take 5 minutes to go back in the back to get my Amazon package that arrived late. I paid 2 days it was supposed to be today.. But the lady at the desk is rude brown hair… she didnt take the time. These people have done this before hold a package and the person puts a redeliver card as I watch her drive past my mail box. Then I have to. Go to. The post office and get my package. This happened 3 times. They are lazy and will. Not help you… worst service ever.. No wonder they are losing business to UPS AND FEDEX…. fast delivery is. Not an option for usps. Tracking sucks and on and on I could go…
My Po Box fees were due and the post office is only open at times I work. I called to see if they have a drop box for stuff like this after hours, and was told No, but I could put in my PO BOX and she would make herself a note and get it out the next morning. I dropped off after hours, called the next morning and they DID get it out and post of my account, so my payment due was not late and no additional charges had to be paid. The lady was extremely Nice, pleasant, helpful and did exactly what she said would be done for me. I always have had a pleasant experience with this post office !! No complaints.
I have been waiting on a package from Japan & i have NOT received a card that anything was attempted to be delivered. I finally got information from the company that the item is SITTING AT THE POST OFFICE & READY TO BE RETURNED. IT HAS BEEN SITTING THERE FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS. No attempt to deliver card or anything. I am beyond tired of this post office & their carriers. I have previously watched the post truck drive up to my mailbox & fill out a card they attempted to deliver packages when they HAVENT EVEN GOTTEN OUT OF THE TRUCK TO RING MY DOORBELL. This is ridiculous they have not even contacted me to come get my package & were going to return it. How am I supposed to know it was sitting there if I never got a notice?? When I called the post office this morning it took me over 2 hours to get thru to them as the number is constantly busy like the phone has been taken off the hook. The lady was rude to me and blamed the express driver for not leaving a notice and told me if I want my package I can come and pick it up or have it returned. I order from this company all the time & an express driver has NEVER tried to deliver these packages. Apparently the postman is too lazy to walk up my driveway or even write out a notice.
By far one of the worst post offices Ive ever been to! For starters our mail will go to other mailboxes or we get other peoples mail. They from time to time will throw our boxes outside our door. The staff will not answer the phones. Theres an older lady that works at the counter who is rarely ever nice. I understand they may be short on staff but customer service could be alot better.
Horrible! If I could give negative stars I would.Issue #1: We used to live in Amelia, OH and moved to Hebron, KY at the first of the year. Changed my forwarding address and did a change of address form. They immediately marked it un-deliverable/vacant said they tried to forward my package, but never did and then kept it at the post office. I tried to call multiple times and the phone was off the hook. I had to call the Eastgate post office to have them send an e-mail to the Amelia branch. A women called me and said did you have a forwarding address on file? I of course did and she said sorry I dont know what happened Ill put it in a new envelope and mail it. What a cluster. If I wouldnt have called I would have never got my package.Issue #2: I had another package from my monthly delivery box go to my old house for some reason. My address has since been updated and that company doesnt have an 800 number to call. Now I got a notice on my door that says final notice and requires a payment of $7.70. What the actual hell. I paid $14.95 for the monthly subscription, I am not going to pay half of that to have it delivered to the correct address. I also dont know if its trapped at the Amelia branch again. Of course no one answers when I call.
I stayed all day in the house, and at 5:55pm somehow there was unsuccessful attempt to deliver my package! TOTAL LIE!!! No note, card, knock or ring at the door, no mail of any kind, NOTHING ! The website says Held at Post Office at Custome Request REALLY, the Customer( Me) somehow doesnt know anything about that! The office is closed tomorrow, so Im not sure when And If I am going to get my package! Is is the second time in the last 2 months!
My experience with this Post Office is disappointing. From blocking my post office box and sending my mail back with no explanation. To having a package for me and not notifying me at all. What an inconvenience to have to call 1 800 # to figure out what was going on. And again no explanation is to why or what their policies are.
So tired of getting other peoples mail on a daily basis, while my mail goes to who knows where!!! Put my rent check in my mailbox with the flag up and it never made it to my landlord after 3 weeks. Decided I better be safe and drop it in a public mailbox in Eastgate. He got it the next day. Whats up with mail carriers that obviously cant read or slacking on the job????
My mail carrier decided he didnt like my mailbox so the post office is holding my mail and forcing me to put in a new mailbox in order to get my mail delivered again even though I can barely afford to put food on the table.
For the last 2 years I have been utilizing the Amelia post office for my eBay business and like so many others reviews, mine is no better. On a weekly basis I order a mail pickup through the USPS website, and upon returning home from work, I find the packages I have prepared for the pickup still on my front porch. Additionally, delivered and placed in my mailbox is not mine. Horrible unprofessional service!
There is a reason aside from the internet that Post Offices like this one are going out of business. The lady they have working the front desk is absolutely rude and treats customers as if they are idiots. I had mail on hold and left work early so that I could go pick all of it up as the post office is not open during any time that normal people are not working. I was assured that I had recieved all of my mail. I called the following day to ask about a letter with important pictures in it that the producer claimed to have delivered. The post office said, oh yeah. There is another envelope here. I told them I would be by to get it the following morning. So, I leave early this morning to get to the Post Office by 9am. There is a line already and always only one person working the front desk. I wait, the rude woman checks for my mail and informs me its not that and it was probably delivered to my home. I go all of the way home to check my mail box. No Mail. Why is it that no one knows what they are talking about at this Post Office? And the woman at the front desk gets irritated for being asked to simply do her job. This is not a service. There is no customer service. This is the reason no one likes going to this post office and I will avoid it by all means.
Had a package left in a parcel locker, with the lock jammed. I called to see if someone could come out (10 min away) and open it for me. Of course, no one could come fix their screw up till Monday, despite the fact that I was waiting on medication.Luckily, I was able to jiggle the lock for 10 minutes and get the locker open. But of course, the main thing is that the carrier was able to clock out promptly at 5:30, customer service be damned. Gotta love the government and their cheerful workers.

I was to receive 2 packages from Amazon on January 8, got a text telling me they both had been delivered to my front door porch or step. Nothing was there. Happen to look over at my neighbors front door and there was one package. Called the post office abou the other package and she said it had been delivered to the same neighbor. Went to check and here it was laying in the front yard in the wet snow!!! Not happy at all!! No wonder post offices are struggling..
The post office is conveniently near the library and the Dollar Store. The staff were friendly quick to get you in and out. The P. O. Boxes are available 24/7 and secure 🔐. Its a one stop supply and service location.

I called the Amelia Post Office today to verify a package was on the truck for delivery. The woman who answered was rude. Not sure if her weekend wasnt long enough or if she just doesnt like Mondays. Either way, the lack of customer service skills she had was enough to make me not want to call again..and write this review!
3 separate occasions post office claims delivery attempted but no nock at the door or even a doorbell ring this last attemp they didnt even leave the pink slip for pick up. So now with office closed after noon and closed on Sunday and having to work all week cant receive my package until next week
If there is any other option to ship whatever you need to ship do it. The incompetency of these asshats is only exceeded by there ignorance. Good luck receiving anything you have shipped by USPS and you will get nothing but the run around when your package is lost or stolen at the distribution center in Cincinnati. Try calling them on their listed number and get a fax machine or constant busy signal.
So I guess the thing for the mail people to do is leave packages in the yard and next to the mailbox and sitting in the rain? Even if Im home there is no knock on the door or ring of the door bell when my package arrives. If I could give zero stars I would. Im going to now request all packages I get are sent ups or FedEx. You have the most lazy and disrespectful mail people Ive ever seen.

Whoever delivers on Locust Lake gives me everyones mail but my own.I sure hope someone in charge read this Im sick delivering people their mail.
My last visit was during off-hours dropping off some shower invitations. The drop slot was so full I could touch other pieces of mail. I had to shove my hand in the slot in order to add 80 envelopes of my own. Felt uncomfortable but couldnt get anyones attention either.

Whenever I send mail out of this office there frequently seems to be an issue.I mailed something 1 week ago via Priority (2 day) and it still has not been received. I regret using the post office every time
Wait time is an hour and 35 mins.longer to wait time for them then the social security office.. Piss poor service..waiste of tax payer dollars.i guess ill wait extra days to find my package. Dont have over hour to wait to talk on phone
My mail lady is too lazy to place packages on the porch, she just throws them up the steps... postmaster is too busy to care. Absolutely ridiculous.

The people that work here are some of the rudest people I have ever come in contact with in customer service. Seriously though. Would have thought you were dealing with a bunch of 3 yr olds.
The post office is actually behind the Thrift Store and Dollar General, diagonally behind the Chase Bank.
Place is far superior than Batavia or other nearby offices.
They consistently do a good job at this location.

We have had packages ex post to be delivered here but they always say that they’ve been unable to deliver that we can pick him up at the post office but when we go to the post office to pick up our packages aren’t even there we question the driver who delivers our mail and he said that he does not deliver them to the post office is responsibility and then we do get other peoples mail and also our packages weren’t delivered to our house 🏡 we call the office numerous times as well nobody picks up it sounds like an a fax machine picks up terrible post office some of the men that are in there including the women are very rude

2022-05-21They never answer the phone. Guy working up front is rude. Delivery person only drops off packages when he feels like it.Best example is most recent: I had a package marked for delivery that day, tracking status changes to “available for pickup” quickly after. This seemed off as mailman didn’t even make it to house yet. I try to call to confirm but no answer after SEVERAL tries. I reluctantly drive to post office, dude up front tells me the package is still on carrier truck and they will try again next day. When I asked why the package can’t be delivered today when he hasn’t been there yet, guy gets an attitude with me. I have now been calling non stop to try and talk to manager/post master and no one answers.Worst post office in America.

2022-03-05Such an incompetent and unorganized post office. First, my package said it was delivered according to the tracking number. Well that was a lie. Next day it updates to available for pickup. I then spend my one day off work driving to this post office to pick up my package. Man behind the counter spends 10 minutes looking for it then comes back and says theres nothing for my address.Nice.He then said theyll schedule a redelivery once and if they find it.Nice.Im so glad I paid an extra $20 for expedited shipping so Id have my package in time. Im sure itll just sit in their facility for the next couple weeks, if its even there. Who knows.Edit: This all happened because the mail carrier scanned my package as delivered but actually didnt deliver it (they do this all the time) and now the package is missing. Whoever the post master is, get your place under control and look at the previous reviews that all suggest similar issues.

2022-04-29The clerk that works here is very rude. I was shipping some you guns normally post office asks me to open the box when I tell them what it is. But this post office clerk was unwilling to search any thing about shipping Airsoft guns. He strictly refused as if he owned the post office. And heck maybe he does.

2021-12-01Amazing team at this location! They know everyones name, go out of the way to help with issues, and always try to help when its within (What they are allowed to do). Honestly I cant say enough about them compared to other larger post offices in the area! Keep up the good work guys & gals!!!

2022-02-15Randomly closed. Came here ealier today and they were closed. At least update google to say that. The door didnt even have a paper taped to it saying they were closed. At least let your customers know.

2021-03-05Mail did not get picked up from Mailbox for county house taxes and went on Vacation.found in box when back from Vaca.Will now get a fine.Went to Amelia Post Office to find no Post Master and no Supervisor to help me.Left letter and was told would be on Supervisors desk for me to call next day.Called, supervisor did not have the note or my check. She said what do you want me to do about it. I told he to find out who worked the day before and asked what happened to it. I asked that she write a letter to the cou ty treasurer and send it with my check apologizing for it being late.She told me to call back the next day.I called back and she said the letter had been sent. That is it.

2020-12-24SUMMATION: Find a different USPS facility. This one is understaffed or irresponsibly managed. You will not get anything in or out of here in any sense of a timely manner. And as a small side note: there is one older woman in there who is incredibly rude for no outright reason.Ive been patiently waiting for a package I ordered TWELVE days ago. Being as its the holidays and a pandemic; Ive not tried to contact this post office until 9am, today, Christmas Eve. Even though I work 3rds and must contort my sleep schedule around their, understandable, limited hours of 9am-12pm. Naturally I assume they would answer phones during this time period (because the safest way possible during these unprecedented times is not showing up in person) to answer one small question that their 1800 automated phone service doesnt have an option for. However instead, (*Ive been calling for 40 minutes at this point and always greeted with the same 18 rings then a busy signal) its as if theyve removed the phone from the receiver or unplugged it because its the same message of Sorry this line is busy, try again later.. Im livid.

2021-09-23This is the dirtiest Post Office I have ever been in. Disgusting! It wouldn’t hurt to have employees sweep it and clean it along with shaking or vacuum rugs. This is unacceptable fir a Government Building.
