I had scheduled my sons wisdom teeth removal for today, September 1st 2022 at 10:30am. When I arrived, they put him as a consultation. I told them that was not correct, he had the consultation already. He was here for surgery. The registration employees told me I didnt know what I was talking about and kept telling me what hospital I was in...like i didnt already know. After a few interactions with a different employees, they finally came across his referral. And realized that the scheduling staff made a huge mistake. They put him on the surgery list and told me to come back at 1p. Failed to tell me I had to check in again so we sat in the waiting area for 1hr and a half before a nurse came in and told me i needed to recheck in. So here it is 2:23p and he still has yet to go back to have his wisdom teeth removed. He is a childrens hospital dental patient and I do not recommend UC hospital for teeth removal as it seems there is zero communication between the two hospitals that are supposedly correlating together.--Upset Mother

Had 3 wisdom teeth and a molar removed. Very professional and caring staff from check-in to the anesthesiologist. Wait time was about a hour to hour and half. I highly recommend getting IV sedation especially if your teeth are impacted.

Getting downtown at 7am for my daughters wisdom teeth extraction was not the first thing we would have chosen to do on a Tuesday morning. But Ms. Kelly who checked us in at the UC Holmes Hospital - Dept. of Surgery - Div of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery knew how to make this very early morning start off in the most wonderful way. She was extremely friendly and made the check in process go very smooth. Thank you, Ms. Kelly!!!

Although the care team stood around my bed and agreed to all of my information before wheeling me into surgery, somehow that all got lost or ignored. I woke up with no pain medication, the recovery nurse got frazzled, brought in the PA to speak with me who was rude, and the surgeon didnt update me or my caregiver. Worst experience with no apology.

Still suffering from wisdom teeth surgery I had in 2018. Also seems racist, I remember when I had surgery a black woman was screaming in pain and no one helped her but they were attending to me who was fine

Be sure to have a wad of cash on you when coming here. My husband had a surgery scheduled and we turned in here thinking it was the correct building and it wasn’t. Before figuring this out, we went through the toll gate. The sign said patients parking is free. We didn’t even get out of the car to figure out we were at the wrong building. Went around to leave, inserted the ticket and said we owed $15.00. We called for assistance and waited but no one came. There were 3 impatient drivers behind us and we could not backup to wait any longer on assistance so we were forced to pay this price, for simply entering the wrong parking lot. Why on earth is ANY hospital charging FIFTEEN DOLLARS for parking?! That is absurd. I couldn’t imagine the price had I been here for several hours like the majority of the people are. This says a lot about this hospital.

Very thankful for their staff. I had my wisdom tooth removed here and a month later the jaw bone became infected. I came back walked right in and they helped me right away! I felt instant relief. It was amazing to feel so well cared for in such a needy time! I appreciate all the staff. Yes it gets chaotic here, but these people aren’t regular dentist, they take some emergency situations as well!

I had multiple extractions this past Wednesday, I opted not to be put to sleep. The attending surgeon was professional as well as the assistant.I was so nervous about my procedure.. my BP was 159/100 , I tried very hard to keep my self centered and breathe through this process ..I really had a rough time procedure wise .I was almost to the finish line when the door burst open and a staff member demanded that the surgeon or assistant hurry up, :(I completely understand that the waiting room was filled with people, and I also understand that patients go bad, and Dentist/Surgeons need assistance. The disregard of knocking on the door and politely pardoning the intrusion along with a loud demand ..not a question. That was completely unprofessional. I dont care if he is the head of the dental department or whom ever the gentleman may be. He definitely needs to attend an ethics class along with a bed side manner class to remind him or maybe humble him so that he can once again be taught what it feels like to be in that chair. The surgeon assured me that he would not rush the process, but my stomach immediately went to a knot. Not only was this procedure hard for me to accept, but now I was horrified. I felt as if I didnt matter as a patient and any secureness that I did have was definitely shattered.I hope that no-one has to experience this type of disregard during a life changing procedure ,Its hard enough with change. Let alone feeling like another number.

Cincinnati UC Hospital has some staff members and employees that are practicing evil and are destroying and aiding in ending lives rather than helping to cure and save, is there a higher Justice or just a higher cover up for evil and wrongful doings.
