Customer service was always available and flexible. I struggled a little to manage communicating to truck company myself, in addition to the moving staffers. I would have preferred if Upack managed communicating with the truck company ABF/V. Overall very good experience.
U-Pack was a bit hard to find with Google Maps because it is part of ABF Freight. After we figured that out and found Joe he had a U-Pack box brought around to us. We loaded the box, took photos and locked it. It was shipped to Seattle the next day and everything arrived safely.This process was relatively easy and it saved a bunch of money. I would definitely recommend U-Pack to everyone.
They assured us on the phone our driveway would not be a problem. Our drivers are professionals they said. 3 days before our move they cancelled saying they dont go on gravel driveways. It cost us money for the crew we had to cancel on and we had to forfeit the sale of the house as we could not be moved in time...horrible customer service and belligerent attitude on the phone. Theyve made it obvious they do not care about the customer.
We used U-Pack on our recent move back to TX. It only took a phone call to set things up and get the ball rolling. The Semi-truck arrived on the date and time we designated. We did all the packing of our home goods as well as packing the truck. The truck was picked up when WE decided. Everything arrived in good condition. U-Pack was very accommodating to us as we had to leave our belongings in storage for over 6 wks until we could get into our house. Our only issue was in loading & installing the bulkhead. The instructions on installing the bulkhead were not clear. Luckily, when the driver picked up our things, he helped my husband install it properly.
These trucks where nice. Our first time loading and we didnt do so good protecting our items but trucks where on time when they said. They picked up on time. Great customer service.
Best method to ship my things from Ohio to Texas. Cubes were dropped off on the date I requested fairly early and was able to pack and have them picked up on time a few days later.
Friendly, helpful and on time with reasonable fees. This company does just what they say they will. I would definitely use them again!
They communicate clearly and are extremely helpful! Their prices compared to other systems are also a big win.

2022-05-21We used U-Pack for our move from California to Ohio. Everything from reserving the trailer to having the trailer picked up after it was unloaded was relatively stress-free. The process is simple…book online, trailer gets delivered, you load it, trailer gets picked up and then delivered to your destination. The quote on transit time and dollars were both accurate. All of the drivers and customer service representatives I spoke to within the timeframe from beginning to end were helpful and responsive. And this was thousands of dollars cheaper ($6k vs $9k) than renting and driving a moving truck ourselves. That’s a win in our book! The trailer that we got did not leak and the only damage to our stuff was how WE packed it. Items will shift and rub during transit so pack high and tight! Use moving blankets and plastic wrap for furniture and valuables. We used several Costco bins for our more valuable items and stacked them as high as we could and they held up great during the move. The only negative was the bulkheads and ramp they provide are somewhat heavy. My husband and I were able to manage but it would have been nice to have one move person to help. But again, that’s on us. High recommend!

2022-06-27Great experience moving cross country with U-Pack. Very easy to book over the phone, great customer service when I called with questions. The actual vender facilitating the move was ABF Freight and they did a good job as well. Timely, responsive, and willing to work with us around the schedule of the storage facility we were delivering to. Price seemed very competitive as well!

2022-03-28I inquired with Pods who had terrible customer service so I went with UPack. Great user interface on the web and easy to continue the process through text. Great service, prompt, no issues at all.

2021-08-17I priced many companies for a move of about 400 miles. This was best value as well as quickest time. I was able to get quick delivery and pick up for a very fair price! The staff at the main number as well as origination and destination cities were incredibly kind and helpful. The move was very quick and professional! If you are looking for a container type of move- don’t even consider another company. This is it!

2020-08-23We have used this company twice now. During the initial move out of state, the details were not explained as clearly about the process for getting the cubes picked up or shipped off. This resulted in some delay of when we really wanted them but the service itself went smoothly. The second time we used them (also out of state), details were more explained. Process went smoothly. We had to urgently get a second cube in Dayton, Ohio on a weekend and they were able to deliver! During the unloading delivery we had to end up having to wait to get them dropped off because our initial drop of address was in the Dallas area, while the actual final drop of address was in the Sherman area. Their process means that the cubes had to pass our address to go to the Sherman Distribution center THEN come back to our house. But each distribution center had excellent staff that could always answer my questions and help get the cubes where they needed to be. Staff was wonderful. Cubes are durable. Would definitely use this company again.

2020-08-24U-Pack was the most economical option we found after getting quotes from many other moving companies and container companies. Their 28ft trailer was plenty large enough for our 3 bedroom house move, with room to spare and we only paid for the space we used in the trailer.The only thing that I wish could be a little clearer is the delivery date and time once we arrived at our new location. It was a bit tricky to coordinate that arrival with scheduling hired unloaders.Other than that, would recommend and would use again.

2020-10-23U Pack overall was a great service and great value. We moved from SC to OH and was very surprised at the cost compared to other trailer/pod companies. The drivers are also very prompt and on time or ahead of schedule. The only negative I will say is, they probably drive a little rough. I made sure to pack everything very tight and use lots moving blankets etc. and we still had damage to some furniture. Minor things, but annoying nonetheless. We would use U Pack again but use even more blankets!

2021-11-17Good price and worked well with our moving plans. Bad note: Did not manage my expectations...needed to have some sort of documentation on the moving process and have updates as to what to do next. Upack and ABF must have better communications.

2020-08-10Positives: their customer service, while condescending, is good. They are very friendly with you when you set up you contract/quote with them. After that...Negatives: Remember that contract/quote I mentioned. After that is all set-up, dates verified, contact information provided...now just go ahead and throw that out the window cause it doesnt mean anything.Our truck was a day late being delivered. It was literally just dropped off in our front yard, not explanation on how to set up the ramp, use the straps, what the heck are these giant plastic things that one person cant maneuver on their own, bars on the cieling...what are those for, how do I utilize them?When trying to contact the company to locate our truck as we were waiting for it till midnight, dont bother there is no one there to pick up a phone or even a way to leave a message.Referring back to that contract that set up our truck usage and PICK-UP dates...who cares what the contract says when they are suppose to come pick up the truck. If you dont call them they wont schedule a time for your truck to be picked up. Oh, but dont try and call them on a weekend, no one is there either.Also, our truck was supposed to be delivered 3 days ago to our new location....honestly I didnt expectant any less.Overview: Only move your entire life during the hours of 8-5PM Monday-Friday cause if problems arise your SOL.Dont expect your contract to be followed through on, on their end, but best believe they are gonna get their money from you.Maybe if you are moving in-state or just down the road this would be a great company, but if you are planning on moving states I would shy away.BTW the people at Old Dominion (the trucking company they use) are wonderful and friendly and willing to hunt down your stuff whenever you call!

2020-01-07Most pleasant moving experience and I’ve moved a lot in last 3 years! I used this service twice within last 6 months relocating from NJ to Ohio. I highly recommend!Customer service is pleasant, helpful, and responsive - couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Any changes I made to my reservation or questions I had were handled immediately. No leaving a voicemail and hoping your call was returned. Joe, in dispatch, helped make sure my delivery was received quickly And the drivers were friendly. I felt my possessions were in good hands and never worried about it being out of sight.Not the I plan on moving anytime soon, but if I was, I would definitely use this service again.
