Rented a uhaul for a day to move a house in a time crunch. Paid for an appliance dolly but received a utility dolly. Couldn’t return it till the next day. Support said I could receive a free extra day on truck but when I got there they wanted to charge me fees. We agreed the dolly rental would be free. I hired extra help and moved everything in time but I was billed for everything, even the dolly I didn’t have access to the first day. The manager Monzingo was apathetic and I haven’t had a response from a letter since.

We had pods that we scheduled back in March for last Friday and they cancelled them after saying they couldnt get ahold of us when we show no calls from them. We tried getting this fixed all weekend but they didnt have anyone that dealt with the pods all weekend. Now they said that they dont have any way to deliver them to us this week or pick them up next week and we move in a week. And they wont compensate us for anything even though they took no effort to contact us. If I could give zero stars I would.

Climate Control facility makes it the most excellent to store facility. I have been using U-Haul Storage since last summer. Its convenient for me to go to here in Akron.

Even though I had a reservation there was no truck available for me when I showed up at the scheduled time. No resolution was offered, nothing. Just “sorry for your luck”. Ruined my move. Wasted the time of myself and all the people who had come to help me move. So much for their reservation guarantee.

Waited 30 minutes outside, no one came out... went inside waited in-line for another 10 to 15 minutes while someone was chit chatting with clerk. Finally was to told to go back out sometime will be out in a few minutes to refill my propane tank... over 20 minutes no one came out, saw sometime walk around side of building and back in when they thought I didnt see them. No one came... I went to Menard and exchanged my tank after over an hour...Customer Service is horrible... rude...

I had my stuff here for not even two months. I go online to pay my storage unit and it says I don’t Sheba an count. I email and call and get no response. A week later I finally get through and they tell me I moved out on the 4th. (I didn’t move out I live in another state). My mom goes to check my unit and all my belongings are GONE. EVERYTHING. They even rented my unit out to another person. They have no answers for where any of my things are. I’ve been on hold for hours. I’m in the process of contacting a lawyer and talking to law enforcement. Do not EVER store your belongings here unless you want it all to be missing/ and or stolen.

Worst location ever. I don’t know who that guy is with the pony tail, smoking next to customers while they get loaded, who acts like he bought and is personally responsible for all the U-haul vehicle trailers is, but karma is coming for you bud if it hasn’t already got there. What could have been a simple transaction turned into more delays without even knowing what we have been through the past two days in just trying to get home.

Dont go here! Worst experience ever for trailer hitch installation.Paid for installation up front in March. They scheduled my install in May. When I showed up for the appointment, they told me they couldnt install that day even though they had the parts and had 4 employees standing around doing nothing. After trying to reschedule I gave up and asked for refund and still havent received it. Its July!Customer Service is extremely hard to get to talk to someone since every time I call Im on hold for an hour.They basically stole my money and wasted my time.

The performance and the rating of this staff is as objective as I can be. I rented storage on Saturday, September 14th at 2:29 2019. The staff on that day was not able to effectively articulate the process for entering the building and unloading item. My moving team and I waited 30 - 40 minutes for the young man to remove the lock from the space so that we could unload items. I was advised that I had immediate access to the storage space. I was further advised that the existing cable that secured the space and warranted it inspected could be cut with scissors; that was not the case. When I asked why he didnt tell the truth about being able to remove the existing lock with scissors, he was not honest. Security alarms were triggered frequently. I was never given a card or a code to enter the space; I still have no card to-date. Additionally, the young woman working at that time took a break although there was a line, 7 individuals deep, waiting to be serviced. I watched the faces of several individuals as they were leaving; they were shaking their heads with disbelief and disgust.When I shared that I was going to contact U haul and complain, the young man indicated that he was very comfortable with that; he said that he could defend his actions.The behavior by your staff will hurt your bottom line if not corrected. I am a consultant, design customer satisfaction surveys, and share these examples with my audiences. I have rented trucks from the U haul location on Fountain St. They are the bar for performance. Courteous, knowledgeable, and competent.I need to return to the location to get my key card or code, so that I have access to my storage space; I waited a couple of days because I needed time to recover from my bad experience. I am also checking on other storage providers; I may move my items. Had it not been so late in the day, I wouldnt have done business with the East Akron location.If this is an issue of training, please provide it. The attitudes of these individuals are not good for your business or stockholder (if you are publicly owned).By the way, they never answer the phone at this location and it’s not because they are busy helping other customers. Call the number yourself. You’ll see.
