Go early if you want the best picks for apples! We go every year and my nieces love it. A handful of animals some apple picking and the cider slushies makes for a fun day for the kids! I do miss their Snow Sweet apples they had awhile ago. Nice looking pumpkins and some gorgeous mums!
What a great variety of things at a roadside farmers market! The petting zoo was a little sad for the animals! BUT we got a great watermelon that quite sweet and perfectly ripe. They have fun things for the kitchen, jams, jellies. I bought also a hot salsa and it was very good. Worth the stop!!
This is the third time I have left extremely disappointed and there will not be another. Today I took my family of 8 to buy pumpkins. We all walked around the store because I needed to know how much they charged since there wasnt signage to the price of anything. 10 minutes and no one around. Someone came out as we were pulling away. They are unprofessional and have been historically rude. The one time I did make a purchase of apples they were insanely priced. I would not recommend this establishment.
Spent a nice Saturday afternoon picking apples with the family, they enjoyed the animals! Down side waited an hour and fifteen minutes to pay for our apples, they only have one cashier, they need to correct this, we wont go back unless we call and confirm more check outs.
It was our first time at this farm. While the storefront was very nice and the selection of pumpkins was plentiful, the orchard and animal farm were both very unkempt. The trees were all heavily overgrown and we had to fight through tall weeds and overgrown dead branches to get to any apples. We were supplied with a map, however many different trees were in one row but not marked. Very confusing and not much fun for our young daughter. The petting zoo was also very dirty and not easy to pet any of the animals. Would not return.
We had a great time. Theyre deceptively small: the orchard is huge and as late as 10/20/19 still had plenty of apples for the picking (we were only going to get a few poinds of apples but ended up filling our bag with over 20 lbs, they are gorgeous). Everyone is friendly and the grounds are well organized. The pumpkins were a little expensive but as beautiful as the apples, so we bought four flawless specimens that would make Jack Skellington proud and are much bigger than what you usually see in the grocery. Well definitely be back!
Tukens is a wonderful orchard and shop for all things fall! They have an extensive area for apple picking, pumpkins and gourds in all shapes and varieties, beautiful mums, delicious apple cider, and much more! We have been visiting Tukens for 3 years now and it does not disappoint! 🍎
I would like to give this place a 0 star but google do not provide the option. We went their with about 15 people and paid $5 fees for every one. We did not even get 1/2 pound of fruits. Farms was not maintain. Its looks like purpose of their business is to just collect money from the people. We had heated conversation with the employees. They were blaming our group for dumping fruits on the farm after picking fruits. We went back to confirm it and did not find anything. The employees are too rude. They need behavior training. I like to suggest all the people to go to some where else as there are lots of option around Dayton.
Tukens is a wonderful place to go and experience old fashioned shopping. Their selection of old time candies, pops, and grocery items are sure to please the wondering tourist, and some locals, too. The owners are nice, down to earth people who are always willing to help you. I love this place, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting. It may be off the beaten path a little bit, but its sure a great place.
I was very disappointed with the whole experience. Produce was old, stock in store very limited, clerk unfriendly and not helpful. The ice cream cartons were scrapping the bottom on several flavors, case dirty and ice cream was all freezer burnt. So sad. They need to close, clean up their act and start again. Prices too high also. Will not stop again.
First off, Ive been bringing my business here to keep it local. The prices are very high, you could go down the street to Bayers for better selection at half the cost. The owner is a blonde hateful bitter woman, shes so rude!I asked her if she visited the farmers market in west Alex...she lashed out at me and said why would I do that?! We are an entity!!!! We dont need too!!!!! It was just a question...I wont be going back from here on out, produce is infested with bugs anyway and a watermelon is $10! Bayers is friendlier too!

2021-10-28Great place for fall family fun! They have rows and rows of apple picking, pumpkin picking, pears, animals to pet and feed, picture spots, little shop with goodies (and ice cream!), and more! Had lots of fun with the family and brought home a huge variety of apples.

2022-07-15What a fun place to go! We fed Reese the llama, bought beautiful fresh produce, and ate home-made ice cream at a picnic table in the shade. It was a a relaxing afternoon in the beautiful Ohio countryside and we can’t wait to go back!

2022-03-17Recently shared a bottle of Chateau Tuken Autumn Apple Wine. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not a sweet apple wine. It was full bodied and had hints of Apple and to me it also tasted like a pear. Not too tart or sweet and it went well with our steak. Bravo Chateau Tuken Orchard. Well done.

2018-10-08It was the most expensive apple picking place I have been to but the store, the produce, pumpkins, and petting farm were all nice. Things were organized and the apples tasted pretty good.

2020-06-21Nice Country setting. Beautiful store. GREAT PRODUCE! GREAT ICE CREAM! Seriously super friendly experience with great products. My Locally grown Strawberries were sweet and delicious, as were the Blackberries today. Just an example of everyday quality.

2017-10-14Gave it one extra star because the country store is beautiful, and the kids love the petting zoo. But the Apple orchard finished me on this place...I wont be back. Theres wild roses growing up in the trees, so youve got to keep your wits about you if you hope to pick apples. The info sheet tells you which rows have which type apples, but there are multiple types per row, and the trees themselves arent marked, so I have no idea what apples I got. Theres an info sheet on which varieties are good for what usage, but it is missing several of the Apple types grown in the orchard. The weeds and grass are overgrowing the trees, and I cant tell that the trees are cared for (pruned), so many of the apples are tiny tiny tiny. Bushels and bushels of apples are on the orchard ground, rotting. The ground is covered in thistles, so closed toe shoes are necessary. The corn maze is advertised, but there is no maze to speak of. Seriously, just take down the sign.If they advertised themselves as a country store, pumpkin patch, and petting zoo, itd be fine. Add in the orchard and corn maze, and the fall experience falls apart.

2021-09-26Lots of varieties of apple, great store with lots to look at/purchase. Amish made desserts, cider, cider slushies (!!!), canned goods, gourds and pumpkins. Plus animals to feed and good family photo ops. Only downsides are its hard to tell which apples are which when there are 3-4 types in a row and it can get very busy on the weekend so you end up spending quite a long time in a line since there is only one cash register.
