Was notified tech was at my house. Cameras never went off and I was outside and they said service is complete and tried to tell me they sprayed. Hard to spray when the tech never shows up!! Call to find out what’s going on and oh it will be 2-3 more days to get another tech out there. Note acceptable.
I purchased a full service package, including aeration, last year through Tyler. I was initially somewhat satisfied with the way my lawn responded but decided to see how things went without treatment this year. Unfortunately, I was not aware that the contract automatically renews until after two treatments. I have now tried to contact Tyler multiple times, and have left multiple messages, with no response. The reason why I purchased through the local branch in the first place was for customer service! I expected a much higher level of professionalism. Needless to say, it is unlikely I will use Trugreen in the future or recommend their services to others!
We’ve been with TruGreen for about a year now ever since they bought out the local company that we were using prior to them. Lawn results have been average at best until recently when the local technician left burn tracks throughout the yard while using a granule fertilizer. Multiple homes in our neighborhood were effected that same day and we all now have patches of dead grass. I wanted to cancel my service but TruGreen said they wouldn’t fix the damage unless I was a customer. The whole experience has been pretty disappointing. I’ve been assured the yard would be fixed, but I’ll be skeptical until I actually see results. TruGreen has a lot of work to do before they keep my business.
I had their service for two years, my yard was filled with weeds. Grass that was there was green in the spring but the yard looked horrible by the fall both years. Canceled my service with them have since been doing it myself. I am weed free after 1 year. They call me constantly trying to get me to sign up for their service. Every time I tell them I will not they ask why and want an explanation. I have asked them to put me on their do not call list, still every weekday I get 1-2 calls from them.
The Walton Hills office is awful. I was over charged for my services and called this office 6 times to discuss with someone. No one ever answered the phone. I was connected to a corporate customer service number and explained the situation. They could not help me and told me to call the local office. Which I could never get to a live person. No one ever called back. And now I have been sent out to collections.
Very poor service!!! Ive been using their service for the past 4 years and have never been completely satisfied with my service. Ive remained a customer in hopes that the service and the look of my lawn and shrubs would improve. This year, however, the service has been horrible. My lawn appears to be dormant brown and Ive had 13 plants/shrubs die or dying this year. Ive reached out to their customer service on three occasions in hopes of being able to discuss a solution with the location and Ive yet to have recieve a call. When someone beyond the service tech does show up Im at work and never recieve a call from the manager, instead they will leave a note that is barely legible. The last two service notes said your shrubs dont like the most weather, your grass has red thread due to the rainy conditions or you have different grass types. Okay, my question is isnt that why I pay my hard earned money to you to prevent or correct? This location has received thousands of dollars from me over the past few years and Im very disappointed with this years lack of quality service and customer service. I truly hope someone at your corporate office reads this post and views the pictures of the damage to my lawn and shrubs.I will be contacting the CEO and board members to complain about the service at this location if the owner of this location cannot make this right.
This place is a joke. I can’t get anyone to answer the phone. They only answer and do there job when they take your credit card info. I have voice mails and a texts from them saying they are coming out but when you call into true greens main line. They have no record of you needing service. I payed for the whole year and it has been three weeks and no one has come back out for my warranty treatment. In between services when it didn’t work. I have voice mails a texts that say they are coming. But they never came. It has been three weeks. Then they text and I instantly call the number when I get a text and there is no answer. Take your money and run is there plans. Don’t use them for anything!!!!! Stay far far away. Trust me you’ll find this out. It is like working with people with drug problems!!!!!!
We enjoy the communication with our lawn technician. He keeps us posted of items and shares what he does and sees. The customer service has been very good for us too. Whether I call in or leave a typed message, the responsiveness and attentiveness to our questions has been very nice. We are happy customers and looking forward to a great experience.Thanks!
We were new customers to TruGreen (our original contract with HighPoint was recently sold to TruGreen) and they damaged our lawn in several places with their first application a couple of weeks ago. When we called to complain we were told they would send someone out to look at it. One day later we had a salesman call and ask us to sign up for aeration and other services, and when asked about our complaint he said he couldn’t help. 3 days later they sent a tech to apply another application. We stopped him and asked him about the damage but he told us he was unable to help. We called TruGreen one more time and they said they would call us back. The call we received was a message that they would be back to service the lawn.At that point we determined our lawn would not be fixed and they would just continue to try and sell us services. Thank goodness this happened at the end of the season. We will be looking for a new company for 2019.
This contract has been a HORROR SHOW since I paid on October 5 th. For example after my explicit instructions telling the rep not have anyone come to my home ever again I wake up to find a tech came at 730 AM and sprayed again.So now I will miss another week of lawn maintenance.Someone please tell me how to end this nightmare of TRUGREEN!!.
I just called to cancel my services and the young man (Carlos) tried 5x to give me a discount even though I asked nicely 3x for him to cancel services - instead of telling him the fourth time that I wanted to cancel my services I was simply hanging up and he was still trying to offer me a discount as I clicked the off button - if I would want lawncare services again I wont be calling TruGreen. Good customer service would be to ask if I had any feedback after I declined a discounted service the first time and then proceed to cancel my service with some grace.
I do not recommend this service if you are in the Independence, Seven Hills, or Parma area. Our lawn looks horrible. Burn marks from the liquid fertilizer, we assume where the hose nozzle drips or a careless technician. We finally canceled. We called to complain before and were promised a technician would be out to examine the lawn, he did not come. We were hung up on by a sales person after already being a customer. We also called to cancel one other time and spoke to a very nice woman who stated the manager would call us the next day. The manager never called.Bad service, ugly lawn.
We Pre-paid for annual service. Then we started getting bills because the annual renewal is only for the core services. They said that add on services are automatically done unless you call and cancel. Well, why are they included in the annual renew then? Then we saw bills for tax on prepaid portion. We were told the prepay is only for the service and not the taxes. So why do even send out the prepayment letters when you change the rules as you go. This is the second time we fired Tru Green. We had them once and fired them. Then went to Scotts lawn service and Tru Green ends up buying Scotts. They were ok last year but fired again last week with this prepaid garbage.
Melvin Davis was my specialist and I was very pleased with my lawn specialist. I hope True Green will continue to stay consistent with the person they chose for me. I am a returning customer from the past and I want to continue to have positive results regarding my lawn care. Finally, I have someone who cares about my lawn. :)
Called to help prevent weeds and after 4 months my lawn is far worse than when I started service! Ive called to tell them their service wasnt working and they set up several free services, but I now find out they were only putting about $2 of generic fertilizer on the lawn and doing nothing for the weeds! Ive now paid them close to $300 for about $10 of product and 30 minutes of work. Save yourself a lot of money and just get a bag of weed and feed because it will work twice as well as they have
This has been a horrible experience ever since Tru-Green bought Scotts. They took a great company like Scotts and quickly ran the Scotts reputation into the ground. We had Tru-Green several years ago and dropped them because of poor service and high prices. When we originally got Scotts we could not believe the personal service. Talked several neighbors into them as well. Now it is the same Tru-Green all over again. We complain about weeds and they will not come back to treat them. I cannot tell you how many times we get the recorded message saying they will be out the next day, weather permitting and they never show up, even though it is a nice day. Spoke to the manager multiple times and should have talked to a wall. My suggestion is to find a small lawn care company who will give you personal service and stay away from a rubber stamp company like Tru-Green.
They are a great service but alot of their technicians that come to treat do not do their job and then i almost always have to call a manager . There are a few thst do my entire lawn and dont pretend too , and the people who are in customer service are nice but then end up screwing up what treatments i am getting. It always gets resolved but i shouldnt have to call almost every time just because they think i am not home but i am and always watch them.
I was called a day before the arrival of the specialist who called me that day to let me know exactly when he would be at my house. Upon his arrival he told me the purpose of his lawn treatment. He quickly took his extended hose and sprayed my large corner lot with ease. I was please with his prompt service.

2022-08-04My yard was full of weeds: dandelions and crab grass even when I asked them to come back out and they didnt charge me but service was extremely poor on touch up as though they were using no chemicals. Also canceled this service

2022-06-27I have called true green, twice on the matter regarding your technician, spaying my neighbors property in 20 mph winds, and all the chemicals coming into my home. I spoke to a supervisor and still nothing. I have continually been told to file a complaint online just like now. I had have my entire home cleaned, and ALL MY CLOTHING LAUNDERED FOR THE CHEMICALS!! No call back, the only thing I was told if it was on my grass I should stay off of it for 2 hours!! What a joke. You dont care about the community or the safety of the neighbors who dont have your service. Be glad I dont contact an attorney.

2022-07-31So Tru Green has ruined my lawn. They claim they have a new machine which leaves burns marks and they are just now realizing it. This happened at the end of June, all I have gotten are phone calls. NO EFFORT to fix. I DO NOT want anything free. Just fix my lawn that you ruined. Im going to see if I can find a corporate email. Maybe they can help, cause the local branch wont.

2021-07-28Remember when your mother said “If you have nothing good to say, don’t say nothing at all”This doesn’t apply when you paid hard earned money !I live in Stow - this company is no good.They avoid doing their job as much as they can. You never get the same person and they are not friendly, Not to mention they burn spots in your lawn. They have been rude to my wife, of course when I was not home. I can’t stand this company anymore, I am bitter and mad I even gave them a dollar. Use another company. I went to Lawn Doctor, Save yourself aggravation and use somebody else.If you do use them all I can say is prepare to BABYSIT them or they will spray the front yard and run away and say they did the whole treatment front and back.Why go thru this?, I would rather have weeds haha. Choose your company wisely, read the reviews. I obviously didn’t and that’s why I am stuck writing this review.By the way, read the review below mine, it confirms what I said.

2022-06-16FALSEGreen is our nickname for this company. They bought out the company we had hired to fertilize last summer. FALSEGreen is Absolutely awful! Weeds all summer! Striped lawn. Horrid customer service. Lazy techs. You name it…100% subpar! Beware!!!

2022-03-03Terrible service. Had enough of them after a year of service. Terrible lawn coverage, customer service is horrible.. got double charged twice, and randomly charged on my credit card when i never put it on file or auto pay (no service was completed either). Took them one second to charge the card, 5-8 business days to process refund and another 2-3 weeks to receive check in mail..I can only imagine how many other customers get their money stolen from these theives without paying attention to there statement.

2021-09-25I have had nothing but problems with TGCL. Im not kidding when I say everytime they come out to perform a service, it is incorrect. On top of that, the lawn does not look any better. I had a new yard sodded last summer so they were working on good grass and there are weeds still and there has not been much growth in some areas. Customer service is terrible. Being that I have had to call every time, I am very familiar with them. I have to wait forever to get through to someone and then on hold for way too long. This has been a complete disappointment. Will be choosing a new company for next season.

2021-06-30I was looking for a lawn maintenance company as I dont mess around with fertilizer myself and my lawn was not looking as good as I would have liked it too. Read some on line review and called TruGreen. They have gotten my lawn back into shape and any shortcoming is simply because I dont have an operational sprinkler system. They are timely and professional and I feel like I am getting a good value for my money. They dont pressure sell up services and I dont have any complaints whatsoever about their services at this time. I would recommend them without hesitation.

2021-10-19DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I paid for Aeration/overseeding/lime service for my property. They came when I wasnt home, and failed to perform the service on the backyard. I have contacted them several times since and they still havent come back to finish the job, and refuse to refund my money. Horrible customer service.

2021-03-19Told me no price increases and 2 years in a row raised price. Ruined my lawn and gave me only an apology. Had to re-sod lawn to make it look even decent costing me over $1000 while doing most of the work myself. Their representative contacted me saying they’ll do flat rate which they didn’t. One of the worst you can get. If you think of going with them, think again, and again.
