I posted several pictures under the alias all8up Ceo. And Ill post some more pictures under Lewis Ceo now that Ive had to find a new way to post my pictures on Google map. But if the coffee shop will can you say the Wi-Fi hearing very fast but the coffee is coffee cool artwork though and a great location. Still about the same.
No place BETTER for anything surfing the net or playinr D&D in the room upstairs. No rent on the room. Much Updates to come. Yes there free wifi. They do have coffee to go they sell decorations they sell Hamilton memorabilia t-shirts true West coffee t-shirts. Most of the artwork is for sale I love it as an artist I love to go to admire the artistry. I know Ive talked to the assistant manager more than once and shes extremely helpful with the information regarding anything about the facility.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the Greater Cincinnati region. Set in a remodeled home, it has a super cozy and welcoming feel. Terrific location as well—right along the main stretch of Main Street in Downtown Hamilton. Great spot for a quiet morning Joe or a lunch with a friend.
This local coffee shop is an absolute gem in Hamilton. They have an extensive drink and food menu with a multitude of flavor options. Their coffee beans are local, coming from the wonderful Deeper Roots. The types of drinks that they serve range from classic to eclectic, Im sure anyone could find a drink here that they would enjoy. The interior is beautifully decorated with plenty of cozy places to sit and enjoy the view of the cute little plaza next door.
It was a bit confusing when I first walked in because its not your typical cafe with a clear cut counter. Instead it looks like someones really chill home. The music and atmosphere were surprisingly pleasing. I ordered a cappuccino not expecting much from a place like this but, I was yet again surprised by how good the quality was. Although, there were only other patrons, the place was mellow enough for me to be comfortable by myself. I think I found my new favorite cafe!
A good old-fashioned coffeeshop, with a great eclectic decor and vintage ambiance. Certainly missed them during the height of the pandemic... Coffee drinks are well-made, and the selection and quality of the baked goods are superior -- must be home made. I especially love the scones and muffins. Have not been for lunch yet, but definitely will try. Prices are good, and the servers are friendly. One of the best coffeeshops around Oxford and Hamilton areas.
Not sure what really happened to this place... Used to be fantastic. Todays experience was aweful. None of the employees are masked, they messed up my drink which was fine. They remade it. Almost 40 minutes go past and I decide to check on my sandwich, it was sitting on the counter. (When I entered I saw the exact thing happen to a lady.) The food was not fresh and had maybe one slice of avocado on the whole wrap. I pulled out a weird piece of old onion 😥 sad to see this place go down the drain...
I have been visiting this coffee shop for many years. Over the last couple of months, I have had problems with inconsistencies with my drink orders and slow service. Today I ordered two dirty chai lattes. One clearly did not have espresso in it, while the other one did. I informed the staff that the drink tasted like a regular chai latte without espresso and asked if they made both drinks with espresso. They assured me that the drink was made with espresso and did not offer a remake.
Always greeted by polite, articulate and personable young adults who always appear happy to wait on me. The food is exceptionally tasty with clever names. Great coffee flavors and tea selection are on the mark and reasonably priced for the quality of food.. Efficient (not fast food so dont be in a hurry but they are on it.) Walk upstairs and feel the comfortable and welcoming ambience combined with historic floors and fixtures. Great view from upstairs windows. Unassuming place to drop in. Then go across the street to Village Parlor for a Raspberry Cloud or old fashioned banana split. Yum❤
I try True West all the time and once again the coffee I get isnt what I ordered. My iced coffee has been hot for 20 mins now and has a weird, strong floral flavor. Anyway, the poor kid at the window is confused every time I order (I order one of their drinks that has a name which should be simple) so its never truly a surprise when I get a random coffee. I feel bad for him every time Im there tho and its not his fault - please train him.An extra star for a cool building.Response to TW: I ordered the iced raspberry truffle with oat milk. Tasted like I got a cup of bad floral perfume so I assume it had to be the wrong drink. Maybe my fault for not taking a sip before leaving - didnt want to hold up a line though.
This is one of those small local coffee shops that reminds me of the one I used to frequent when I was in college. Its got a small but decent selection of food as well as a fine selection of both hot and cold drinks including non-caffeinated or child appropriate drinks. They were more than willing to accommodate our picky child and even suggest substitutions that he might like. Nice outdoor seating area, good covid precautions still in place (mask signs remain up, plexiglass at the ordering station, etc).
True West Coffee is truly a Hamilton gem. If you just want to get coffee, they have all sorts of flavor combos that are phenomenal. My personal favorite is the zebra! They also have delicious sandwiches and salads as well. The decor is super cute and they never disappoint! Definitely a must do place if youre exploring Hamilton!
True West Coffee is Hamiltons nice little secret. This café gains all my adoration. As a coffee and Tea lover this place has a special place in my heart. I must recommend if you are unable to visit inside this quaint little house there is a nice tiny little drive thru. The coffees, services, and ambient are charming.
Very cool neighborhood coffee shop with good coffee and service. Hamiltons lucky to have a place like this open and available. The Black Sheep Latte was delightful, but if youre not into heavy flavors, the drop coffee (Deeper Roots!) and regular offerings are always good. Cheers!
They have very good coffee (had a regular, not specialty) and a big scone, which was also very good. They have seating on first and second floor. A popular place, as drive thru had 4 cars in line when we arrived, first floor seating was full and second floor was almost full (this was Saturday at noon). Will definitely be back!
True West is a great local place to get coffee and a bite to eat. They have everything from tasty lattes to the smoothest pour over coffee around. Its a great place to support a fantastic local business, enjoy great atmosphere, and get to know our community a little bit better.I just recently tried their food options and the sandwiches are really good. Try the George Bailey and you wont regret it!
Its a smaller place with up and downstairs and outdoor eating areas. The decor is pretty and the staff are very kind. The sandwiches there are great, and the milkshakes are unique and delicious. I personally recommend the Bada Bing sandwich and the Zebra milkshake, two absolutely amazing choices.
Good place to study. I particularly enjoy the $4 bottomless coffee which is a darn good cup. Booths upstairs have outlets! Its a well thought out coffee shop that reminds me of the dearly departed Noble Tree in Chicago.I like that there is a range of seating options because being too comfy makes it harder for me to focus.
Tucked into downtown Hamilton is a misplaced coffee shop.True West.I grew up in Montana so I have some experience with the true west. But that really doesn’t matter. This cafe is DELIGHTFUL. The owner has decorated with old doors for tables and clearly has an eye for making places cozy. The coffee me was great and the sandwiches where very good.
True West Coffee is a comfortable place to enjoy quality coffee alone, with a friend or small group. I really like the way it is decorated, including artwork from local artists. They also have a good lunch menu with interesting and unique sandwiches. I recommend the George Bailey!
Great iced chai. I get it every time. I love this place, it’s so cute and welcoming. There’s couches and tables so it’s a great place (way better than any other coffee shop) to work, study, hang out with friends or go on a date. I come with my friend sometimes and we always have fun. If you have a chance, totally go. It’s the best thing to do in downtown Hamilton and it’s right down the street from a puppy store (where you can see puppies though the windows!) and a used vinyl store. Very great place, highly recommend. Just wish it didn’t close at 8.
The coffee was good and the baristas were nice, but we had reserved their private room and they double booked us. Also, I ordered one latte, and the family behind me ordered a coffee, a latte, and two steamers and got their order before me (by several minutes). My friend also waited an excessive amount of time for her drink.
Everytime my family and I drive through Hamilton we stop and get coffee here. The menu has a wide variety from lattes to smoothies. My personal favorite is the island paradise (steamed milk, honey, and vanilla). Youd think that something so simple would taste plain, but its easily one of the best drinks I have ever had!
True West has tasty food and delicious drinks. The atmosphere is eclectic and offers games to play while you are there. There are two floors and different areas to hang out in, or to study, read, chat with a friend etc. They do have restrooms and high chairs. They also have a meeting room that you can book for no charge. We meet there once a month with my book club, the room can fit about 12 comfortable, with room for a few more for a tighter squeeze.Depending on their staffing food and drinks some times take a while to make it to you.Prices are on the higher end but on par with Starbucks, I generally spend $10 for a drink and a muffin or sandwich.
When I’m not around True West, I have to settle for a chain that doesn’t offer the same level or service or quality. Last night I was able to run in for an amazing cup of coffee and it was like manna from the heaven. There is a HUGE difference between the stuff that’s been sitting on a chain store’s shelf for months and this stuff. It doesn’t taste tinny or stale, ever. If you haven’t tried it, you don’t know what you’re missing.(By the way, I got a 16oz coffee with a shot of espresso for much cheaper than Starbucks. It’s a great deal.)
For the amount I was charged for two small drinks,a cookie and scone was ridiculous. I ordered a Carmel Frap with extra Carmel (didnt get btw)and it tasted like burnt 3o day old coffee. The scone was amazing, my friends cookie she stated was really good. I could go to McDonalds and get a better tasting frap definitely cheaperThis was my first time here, and definitely wont be back. The friendliness of the staff was lack of by far.....
Today was the first time I have ever visited, I was invited by a friend. They are a busy place it seems, but friendly. I tried a George bailey I think it is called, but was nervous about the chipotle mayo so opted for regular and I added lettuce. I think I got spinach and lettuce and half of the sandwich was great an the other half was just missing some greens. But overall the sandwich tasted great, loved the all natural kettle chips. I did not care for the pickle but my friend really liked it. It was pretty in decoration and seemed like there was a good amount of space for seating.
The employees here are very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is also nice. My only complaint, which makes a big difference, is the coffee quality. They pull their shots through their espresso twice, which is disgusting in my opinion. A good shot of espresso should be pulled through freshly ground espresso beans, the grounds should then be thrown out. Pulling through twice makes the second pull bitter and lacking in adequate flavor (it was obvious that they pull through twice when I ordered a macchiato, it was very bitter and lacking the robust flavor of a fresh shot). The amount of flavor put into the drinks is also way too much, making lattes taste more like steamers than an espresso drink. If you go here I would suggest to pay for the extra shot and request that your espresso IS NOT pulled through twice, I would also suggest that you request less pumps of flavor. Of course, if really sweet lattes are your thing then this is the coffee shop for you!
Looking for authentic coffee drinks? This your placeLooking for fun coffee/uncoffee drinks? This is ALSO the place for you!Want somewhere to relax with friends or your family?THIS IS YOUR COFFEE SHOPStaff is knowledable and extremely friendly.Baked goods made fresh and food is made to order and always HOT!Cant say enough about how amazing this place is
This is one of my absolute favorite places to visit. If i have a bridal meeting, and they are out this way, i offer this as my first option. Their chai latte is perfect and their baked treats are quite tastey. I highly recommend this spot if you want to have a meeting, get out of the house, or just need a delicious drink before work.
This place has flow flying all around the kitchen area. The customer service is very lacking and patrons can be forgot about. During my visit I watched a man stand for ten minutes just to pay a bill. This was rather disheartening as he was the only customer in line. It seems to be run by young college age people that have a care free attitude. Another bad day of getting service in Hamilton.
A Hamilton treasure! We know the owners and know how much work and TLC went into getting the place ready. I love the eclectic design and local artists paintings for sale on the walls. There is frequently live music on the weekends and during good weather there is a nice patio. ALL the food is delish but my favorite sandwich is the George Bailey and you must get the chocolate chip cookies. Also, My husband and I both love the White Chocolate Chai. Its a perfect place to meet up and chat or study on the 2nd floor where its a little quieter.
In all honestly, I have always liked True West. But after spending countless years stopping in for breakfast, lunch, and the occasional performance I have realized that it is nothing but the pure image of white privilege. Honestly, I don’t know what’s worse. The lack of color in the staff or the lack of color in the customers. I feel like once I step into the building a wave of judgement hits me but it’s covered by the smiles of the staff. Honey I can see through your Young Life tee shirt that you are a sinner just like the rest of us. Why is anyone else’s sin bigger than yours? And why should they be judged or shunned for their sin because you think it’s worse than the sin you commit every single day? I can’t tell which bothers me more. The countless high school kids that are in young life and don’t know any better than to obey the commands of their leaders as they cry because they think that they are being a horrible person because they’re focusing more on their passion for art or music rather than reading the bible for a hour a day because they have an audition coming up and a young life leader agreeing with them and saying that they’re focusing too much on themselves. Excuse me honey, but if this young girl wants to focus on her audition of a lifetime that will dictate her musical career and you drag her down and tell her to stop focusing on herself and read her bible instead, you’re messing up. But wow do I love the things the people say behind the counter. Between talking bad about other staff members, friends, management (Yes Chris, I’m talking about you here), and even customers I can’t grab a coffee during my lunch without being appalled by the gossip and disrespect that goes on there. This place is filled with greed, brainwashing, and disgust. Get out while you can.
I love this please cuz not only can you stop in or go to the drive-through to get coffee you can get lunch I can go in with your kids and play a game theres two floors you can meet up with people or strangers for an interview, I did. Safe place. Interresting sandwiches.
Went in to buy a bag of coffee. I was asked to give a tip with the card reader, and declined, so, the intern there decided to short me three ounces on a 12 ounce order. Apparently, also, the coffee is genetically modified. Didnt know coffee was supposed to have fruity notes to it and such. Maybe It comes in nature that way. I dont know for sure, but, I dont think Ill ever go back. I dont tend to deal with places that fine you for not giving a tip for bad service and a bad product. Im sticking with starbucks for half the price, and no additives for taste.
My husband & I took a walk there with our dogs one day to get some coffee. And they wouldnt serve us at the drive thru window because we werent driving a vehicle. Obviously we couldnt come inside because he had the dogs but we were outraged because we specifically walked to their facility to get some coffee. Had we known their policy about using the drive thru we wold have gone somewhere else. Also the waitress who answered the drivethru was complerely rude & clueless. She kept saying it wss illegal but its not. Its just their company policy. If you can walk up to flubs why cant you walk up to their window? Clearly theyre not dog friendly or really supportive of Hamiltons new vibe.
Great coffee and tea!! And if if you dont find parting with a limb or $7 then I recommend their Sandwiches. With that out of the way Id to address the person who commented about a month ago about walking to the drive thru..ahem.. Are that f****** stupid? Did your parents beat you as a child or something along those lines? Its against EVERY company policy to not serve walk ups at drive thrus. How hard is it to just walk back and come back later in a F****ING CAR!? Id pay to see you try to do that with McDonalds or Taco Bell. Or even better try to pull that stunt when I was working at McDonalds hehe, if you thought that was rude you clearly havent been out much. You think because us young people wear a company uniform that we are obligated to kiss you a**? Minimum wage only gives you customers only so much courtesy the rest we give is due to our goodwill so with all due respect go back playing with your dogs because I do not want to find you any where near my favorite coffee shop!

2022-07-05Mostly positive things to say about this place. The iced chai and breakfast burrito were delicious! The had quite a variety of different drinks and food items to choose from. The indoor seating looked super cute, and they had a great outdoor space to sit at! (though maybe sweeping it every now and then would’ve been helpful!) Went on a rather hot day and brought my puppy so I couldn’t sit inside. He found quite a few pieces of trash to eat while we were there.

2022-06-29Great coffee shop! I love doing work at this place or stopping through their drive-through. Really good coffee. They do support the LGBTQ agenda and therefore support transing little kids, so I wont be coming here until they take down this flag:

2022-05-30Had about 3 hours to kill while my son did his Miami U. orientation and registration. Staff were friendly, the place had a lot of charm, and they really did have the fluffiest eggs around on The Doctor breakfast sandwich I got. Coffee was so much better than the big chains in my opinion too. Public parking right next door was convenient. WiFi was a bit slow, but it was free and got me online to do some work, so I cant complain much. If I were up that way often, this would be a must stop for me. As it is, I recommended it to my son for a great place to chill and get some work done after class or collaborate with classmates on a project. There are a few separate spaces in the shop that make it great for a small meeting away from the office too.

2022-06-22Great little independent coffee shop in a neat and growing part of town. The coffee and smoothies are delicious and service is polite and prompt. I always try to stop in on my way to Jungle Jims and support this excellent local business.

2022-04-15I used to come to True West all the time when I lived in the Cincinnati area. I have since moved to a different state, but this remains one of my all-time favorite coffee shops. Its a really cozy space with indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. I loved their True West iced latte, and their sandwiches were great--I have tried the Loch Ness, George Bailey, and Bossman and really enjoyed them all. I miss this place so much and highly recommend it!

2022-05-22They were very accommodating to make my breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread and not press it to avoid cross contamination. I appreciated it! The wild berry smoothie was also delicious.
