WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC !!!We have tried to Trivs many times for their great live music, which is always at a comfortable level, and their fine upscale atmosphere. The venue is beautiful, and the staff try very hard to be accommodating.Other reviewers have complained about the food without being specific. We too, have usually been disappointed with the food, despite returning to try different items on the menu. For us it is very clear that the problem with the otherwise high quality food is WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC!!! ( Even for me, and I am Italian.). NEARLY EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS SATURATED WITH HEAVY GARLIC, including appetizers and sides, as well as entrees (even the steaks and fish). Furthermore, the garlic is usually not mentioned at all in the item descriptions on the menu, and is used very heavy handed even in items where you would not expect to find it.We have tried asking for our entrees and sides to be prepared without garlic, or with as little as garlic as possible, but staff often come back and tell us the Garlic is already in the marinade, sauces, etc. At other times they have told us that it could be prepared without garlic, when it arrives it is still saturated with Garlic. If the Heavy Garlic problem were ever resolved, we would become regulars.
Went for St Patricks day. Corned beef brisket dinner. Meat fell apart, delicious. Portions - took some home. Brisket sandwich was excellent. Again portions, took some home.Service (Daniel) was excellent. Went early (4:30), not busy.Nice day, so some were on the patio.
Ill preface by saying the servers were friendly. I honestly have no idea why this place has so many 5 star reviews, though. Where we were seated it smelled awful, like strong urine. It was lunch and a huge elderly crowd so maybe someone had an accident, Im not sure, but it was offsetting to say the least. My shrimp cocktail had a teaspoon of cocktail sauce and a tablespoon of horseradish. I was scrapping sauce off of the lettuce to eat all 5 pieces. The medallions and side were so bland I was worried I had covid. No taste whatsoever. Asparagus was salted appropriately, but 2 tiny pieces of meat and a pile of white, tasteless mush for $25 is absurd. I often eat at high end restaurants ( Coopers Hawk, The Capital Grille, Marble Room) and its flawless food. If youre going to charge $25 for a lunch, it should be good. Overall we spent $100 for the lunch and tip, and I can say there is no way Id ever go back. One other thing... a few tables received bread and butter. We were never offered any. I thought maybe their meals came with it, but the meals they ordered were not pasta or anything that one would assume would have bread.
Absolutely wonderful. Had no idea you need a reservation. Right time, right place. Days previous was hungry for certain select items. They handled every craving. Absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable. I will be back. With reservation. Thank you so much for a lovely time.
I do not leave reviews often but I have to come on here and say that my husband and I tried Trivs for the first time last weekend and I am speechless at the experience we both had. Our beautiful server Ammel was truly a dime. She was so attentive and efficient that we didn’t have to ask for not a thing! On top of her offering amazing service, her personality made the experience even better, Very charismatic and personable. Now a days it’s hard to find servers like her and my husband and I truly enjoyed her. Trivs is lucky to have her! She recommended the seafood risotto and my husband tried the pork chop and it tasted absolutely AMAZING! Ammel is an EXCEPTIONAL server and Trivs is a great atmosphere with even better food. Will be back a million more times if it means having the service that was offered. 10/10 recommend !
The bf and I tried Trivs for the first time last week. We both got the Chicken Penne Rose, we shared the calamari appetizer and I also got the Italian Wedding soup. For desert, I took home a slice of tiramisu. We both agreed that everything was incredible! The restaurant itself was clean and classy. They also had live music which was unique from other fancy restaurants. Our Waiter was also top notch! He didn’t forget about us once and was very kind and professional. 10/10 highly recommend!
Ive been here about 15 times and counting. Every food item I ordered was to perfection. Excellent! Great atmosphere and ambiance. Sometimes they have live entertainment in the bar area. Its always crowded, so reservations are encouraged! Its also nice that they generally allow for 1.5-2 hours for you to enjoy your meal (next reservation is coming in) so you have plenty of time to enjoy your meal without being rushed out. Wait staff are professional and act happy doing what theyre doing. I always have great dinners/experience here. (Theyre open for lunch too.)
We started with crab cake and moved on to the French Onion soup. A friend recommended the French Onion saying it was the best they had, but I just thought it was pretty good and not quite the best. We had the Fillet entrée and added the jumbo scallops and shrimp scampi. I would not consider the scallops jumbo but the shrimp were enormous! Like little lobsters! Overall a very good meal, slightly on the pricey side for what you get.
Picked up fish fry on Wednesday 2/17 for take out. Arrived to pick and was told total was $48 for two fish fries. Asked girl at desk who was very friendly if this was correct and she was not sure and left to ask another manager about cost and was told with an attitude “yea this is the cost of two dinner portions”. Now keep in mind most bars that serve fish fries charge $12-15 in area. This meal was good but for the portion you receive it’s definitely not worth $48 for two of these. Fish was tasty and few hush puppies you get were good. Fries were soggy but that’s chance you take with fish fry. Overall, I normally wouldn’t post but I feel I was taken to thecleaners on a pretty average fish fry meal.
Ive started going regularly to happy hour. They have a great assortment of appetizers for $6 and I prefer the wines that are not on happy hour. They have a nice selection. The service at the bar is excellent and despite sometimes being super busy the bartender is very aware of her customers and treating them well.
I got a tip about this restaurant from a customer. He said he comes with his family so I was definitely surprised when I showed up a little underdressed. This maybe the first time Google Maps was a little off with the pricing and dress attire listed. I would put Trivs at $$$ and more of a fine dining establishment rather than casual. However, Trivs was excellent. The salmon I ordered was a special of the daily and it was phenomenal. My wife’s prime rib was prepared perfectly and the kids spaghetti with meatballs was an adult portion at an affordable price. I enjoyed my old fashion and look forward to coming back and taking full advantage of the lounge. I highly recommend Trivs if your looking for an impressive fine dining location with a modern touch.
Service was a tad slow, but there was stellar entertainment and the food was yummy. My half wedge salad was a very generous portion. Super crisp and fresh, with no shortage of bacon and bleu cheese. I was completely intrigued by the sanchetti and had to try it. Im so glad I did! Creamy little packets of cheese and truffles in a honey cream sauce. The sauce was a touch too sweet and heavy for the delicate pasta, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Trivs has always been good, but they have really stepped up the overall quality of execution of their menu. Weve been very impressed the last few visits. Like many restaurants, theyre having trouble finding enough help, but in spite of that they have really stepped up their food preparation. Glad to have this place in our area!
We went to try their menue during happy hour. We couldnt get seated in the bar even though there were plenty of open tables. We were told they were reserved for others. Who ever heard of that? Then miscommunication with hostess and waiter. Took at least 8 min to get service. Portions were very small and the hummus and ribs were not worth the money. They didnt taste good. Drinks were very weak and after I said something they tasted better. All in all...not as good as we expected. Actually disappointed because its a high end place according to other customers. Btw...salad was plain and dressings were all horrible!!
We had a scrumptious dinner with friends. We started out with Stuffed Hot Peppers and the Crabcake. Both were very good. Three of the four of us had the Seafood Risotto, which was amazing. They have several Risottos to choose from. The staff is all very well trained. Our server was awesome! I love her personality and interaction with us. They also had live music! It was my Birthday celebratin so I ordered the Creme Brulee. Delicious!
Our first time at Trivs showed us that we had been missing out on a true gem with great food and outstanding service. Amanda quickly got us set with drinks while cheerfully explaining the specials, knowing full well she would be repeating herself for the couple about to join us. She listened carefully to our likes and preferences and made perfect beverage and food recommendations along the way. The appetizers were carefully prepared with outstanding ingredients. The chef and crew there obviously love what they do and do it very well. The meal and evening were literally perfect. We were so very happy, as this was a double date with friends we absolutely love whom we dont see as often as wed like. I cant think of a better place for that. It wasnt cheap but the quality of the ingredients, like my prime ribeye made the prices extremely reasonable for the quality. Id call it a deluxe bargain. Five shining stars.
Love Trivs! They have an amazing happy hour with select great small plates and drinks for $6 each when you sit in lounge or patio. All the food is great but the brussel sprouts and Dirty Martinis are delicious. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri 11-7 and Sat 11-4. Its worth checking out for sure!!
I went there for my wife’s birthday, the seafood is amazing and the service is beyond expected. we loved it and will visit again for sure.p.s. I usually don’t eat seafood, but their food were amazing and made me change my mindUpdate: I went today, food was amazing, I am so glad I took my dad to their restaurant
It was an experience to say the least. The atmosphere n decor had a 1920s speak easy feel yet the music was more dance club. The lunch menu seemed to cater to an upper class older crowd. The chicken caprese sandwich was good with a piece of mozzarella n pesto sauce with a tomato on a brioche bun. The fries were crunchy n seemed odd to be served with ketchup in a metal cup in a place dressed up to be fancy. The coleslaw was creamy and well made. The drink menu seemed to be their bread and butter as they had one half dedicated to a bar.
I took my wife and mother in law there for mothers day and they both had melt in your mouth filets. I had the seafood pasta and the scallops and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Could have used a bit more veggies in the pasta but the overall experience was very pleasant.
This upper scale restaurant (entrees running from $25-$40) needs to reconsider its smoke em if you got em patio policy where patrons are chain smoking next to tables where others are fine dining. Even after the inconsiderate smokers were asked to tone it down, they did not. The restaurant needs to intervene. Our group of 12 will not be rushing back. A few other issues came up that can not simply be blamed on the pandemic (forgotten food, bad fish entree, snippy attitudes).
I just visited Triv’s a few days ago, what an outstanding experience! From the staff, to the food, and overall ambiance, everything was excellent, I’ll be a repeat customer many times! We had the 18oz ribeye, and Halibut entrees, both done to perfection, can’t wait to return!
We went for the entertainment but as usual, the food does not disappoint! The menu is very reasonably priced for the selection and quality of food that is served. This is my third time there and I have always had a prefectly cooked and absolutely delicious steak. If you have a chance to visit on a Thursday evening when Rossi and Romano are playing then you can be assured of a great evening out!
Weve dined here several times, and the food and service are always outstanding. We made a reservation for the patio, but were not told up front that smoking is allowed out there. Fortunately, the staff was able to quickly find us a table inside, which was very well socially distanced. What we found odd is that while all of the patrons and staff were wearing masks, the woman that appeared to be the manager was NOT wearing a mask...
I used to work at Columbia hills and always saw Triv and everyone always talked about the place..asking myself, how good can it be? Well years later I found myself getting a strip and man its delicious. Quality meat, real mashed potatoes and a nice demi. Normally dont go to steakhouses but Im glad I decided for it. Also the bread was knock out...not sure why everyone loves bread but yea, it was a great meal. Worth the 34 dollars
The Cajun shrimp was fantastic! Boyfriend got a steak, with I believe a potato and they were both extremely filling and well sized portions. These were takeout, and with date night being a lot different nowadays - this was so very worth it. Got home and it was still steaming hot. Definitely recommend.
Update to previous review (6/2/2020)I will absolutely will not give this Restaurant a 3rd chance. I did carry out after they were allowed to re-open. I asked to check the temp on the steak I ordered the young lady seemed to have issue with that and took an attitude. The mushroom risotto had no flavor what so ever. The other entree I order was not to have any cheese on it and course it didFrom 3 months agoServer was a amazing, top notch. Decor was pretty cool. However I asked for the steak be well done It came out medium Manager was on top of it took it back to be cooked well done plus Compton off the bill. Server was very apologetic.appetizer drinks were amazing sides were great our other meal was amazing definitely will be back to give it another try.
My wife received a gift card to Trivs for her birthday. It was the first take-out meal weve had in a while where we were literally blown away by the food. It was delicious. She had the pork chop and I had the veal parmesan. It was by far the best veal parmesan Ive ever had in my life. Associates were very friendly on the phone taking our order, and our food was delicious. We will definitely be back.
I have ate here close to 40 times and every single time is excellent. There is not a single item on the menu that doesnt exceed your expectations, seriously. Atmosphere is relaxed and casual and worth the drive every time. I believe it is one of the best places to go for 20-30 miles around the area.
My fiancé and I absolutely love the service, atmosphere, drinks, and food at Trivs! We were able to make a reservation for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t know they were serving a limited menu and was so disappointed that my favorite dish, the Tuscan Grilled Carbonara was not included! I decided to opt for the filet instead and it exceeded every expectation. I totally forgot about the dish I wanted. The steak was cooked perfectly and was so tender I could cut it with a butter knife. The peppercorn demi-glacé really put it over the top. I NEVER finish a meal but I couldn’t imagine leaving anything on my plate this time. Another outstanding visit - we’ll be back soon so I can get my pasta dish!
My first time at this restaurant. The appetizers were really good and the meals were great. There is a live singer playing in the bar and this is an upscale place. Everything is a bit pricey but the atmosphere is great and is typically an older crowd. I will go again :)
So accommodating! Was running an hour late for our 8PM with 8 people but when we arrived everyone from the start was so pleasant and understanding (yes, called to give them a heads up so we werent rude :)). Our server Francis was amazing. The food was delicious even at such a late hour.
The interior is definitely on the dark bar side. The bright lite shines on all service and management clientele. OUTSTANDING from begini g of dinner to the end. The taste buds invited the unusual fling to all the sides and soup. WHEN YOU GO TO TRIVS YOUR ON CLOUD NINE!!
We ordered take out. The online menu has no prices listed. We got the swordfish, almond crusted scallops, rolled lasagna and a kids spaghetti and meatball meal. Our bill was $78 for take out. There were only 4 scallops and they all had the gritty taste of sand in them, the risotto that came with it was bland. The swordfish came with rice, black beans and a salsa. Chipolte makes better rice, beans and pico. The swordfish was nothing special. The rolled lasagna had stringy spinach in it that was hard to chew and the ricotta filling was watery, like it was undercooked. The kids size dinner was a big portion of pasta with 3 meatballs. For our first time eating from the restaurant we wished we wouldnt have spent so much for food that we could have cooked better at home. Disappointed 😞
I had the best experience celebrating my best friends birthday ! We had a large group and they managed very well. The food was so amazing, we ordered the Ribeye that was cooked to perfection & French Onion Soup. Everything that was caramelized is worth trying especially their brussel sprouts. Mojitos were delicous!I highly recommend this establishment.
We LOVE Trivs!! First of all, the staff is always, ALWAYS accommodating!! Great service (Cara)!! Next, the food never fails!! Favorite apps are the Caramelized Brussels and the Sesame Crusted Tuna Sashimi!! The Salmon and the Walleye were fantastic the other night!! Great wines, drinks....and always terrific entertainment...you can never go wrong for a great night out here!!! Thanks Mike!! (the Quilt red was awesome)
First timer, now lifelong customer. The place is small and elegant and the food was absolutely outstanding. This is one of the few places I have EVER been that can pull off an absolutely perfect Pittsburgh Rare. The service is also outstanding - Jessica at the bar made our night. She even ensured that my man got some cannolis for his birthday. I legit cannot wait to go back.
First time there and we didnt know we needed reservations, so we sat at the bar for dinner. Drinks were watered down. Steak was made to order and very good, however my lobster ravioli was very dry. Asked for more sauce and by the time they brought it out my dinner was cold. Next time I will get the steak, that seems to be the chefs specialty.
Went here recently for my bday with someone in my party recently having had a kidney transplant. Blonde lady who looked like a manager helped serve us our food. She had NO mask on. She walked up to us after walking all over up to other customers with their masks off because were eating. Also a guy had no mask on working there. There’s no excuse for that. Even if the excuse is they have a medical condition then have them wear a face shield!! Or work behind a plastic barrier. This was crazy to me! So disappointed it was my birthday and used to be my favorite restaurant. This pls e is supposed to be nice. I expected it to be safer than any other restaurant. So disappointed and hope we don’t get sick now. McDonald’s seems to take their customers health more seriously.
Went to Trivs with a friend for the 1st time in a couple yrs. Stopped going because of a couple bad food experiences then. Food last night was so-so. Swordfish was pretty good, but black bean salsa was terrible. Friend had ribs that were only so-so. With one glass of wine, my meal was over $40. Wouldn mind spending that if it was all good. Service was very good, though.
My wife and I have had nothing but great experiences at Trivs. The menu is diverse, the quality is excellent and we have never had anything but top-notch service. The entertainment has always been very good, but not so loud that you cannot carry-on a conversation. We have also been to many special events there including my wifes birthday party and they did a great job.
My wife and I have been there many times and have always had a great experience. The menu has many items no matter what have a taste for. We have never had a bad meal with portions that always require a doggie bag. The entertainment is an added bonus that we have always enjoyed. But what makes Trivs stand out, second to none, is the service. Very prompt and courteous, from the minute you get there, Everyone makes you feel like they have been waiting for you to come in so they can attend to you.Dave P.
Yet another PERFECT experience at Trivs. This place never disappoints. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is always excellent, and the service is exceptional. This beautiful restaurant and how wonderfully everything is executed is a direct reflection of owner Mike Trivisonnos hard work and dedication. Hands down my favorite place!
I think I love this place! The food was awesome and atmosphere was great! This was our first time here and we mightve been a little underdressed. All in all it was a great experience. I already cant wait to go back and try more menu items! Highly recommended! This is a must try restaurant for sure!
Stopped in for a friday lunch and were seated quickly in a very upscale dining room with old Cleveland photos on the walls and enjoyed the BEST French Onion Soup Ive ever had along with a caesar salad while my wife dined on her great BLT. We will definitely return for an evening meal.
Pleasantly surprised! Based on what I had seen online, I figured this was one of those places where you get 2 bites of food for beaucoup bucks. After reassurances from a couple of my coworkers, my husband and I tried it out. I know this is going to sound strange, but I’m a very slow eater and this was the first steak I’ve had in as long as I can remember that didn’t end up tasting like iron by the time I was done with it. Wine was really good too. Would go back for sure.
The owner, Mike T is a hands on, personable gentleman that makes you feel right at home. The staff is kind, efficient and knowledgeable of the menu. Prime rib has great flavor and superb texture. Many more tantalizing offers are on the menu. This establishment is not to be missed.Thank you Mike and Chef!
My husband and I have been going to Trivs on a regular basis for nearly 7 years. We love to split the 16oz Ribeye with mashed potatoes and carmelized brussel sprouts. So delicious! The food is high quality, good prices and an amazing staff that is so friendly and accommodating.
Place is great! Made reservations, table ready immediately. The entertainment was above and beyond. One man show. Had everyone engaged. Performed songs everyone knew. Age ranged 21 to about 70.Service was good. Took a bit for meals to be prepared, but delicious. Ordered ribeye dinner.
The idea of Trivs is great, but they missed the mark on execution. The combination of food and live music would have been way more enjoyable if the place was larger. It is quite small and stuffed. The sound is also not that great at all. It was quite hard to understand what the artist was saying. During dinner time the hall was too noisy to enjoy the performance. There is a glass wall separating the performance area from another eating hall, that doesnt help with the sound either, too much echo from both people and performers.Service was ok. I found the servers to be a bit lower quality than what the restraint pricing is trying to portray. The decor and prices are upscale but service is everything but. Menus is quite limited in varieties and the food we ordered tasted just ok.I hope they do something about it. Because its a shame to waste this opportunity. My experience was not terrible, but surely was disappointing. Would go back and give it another try!
We hosted our rehearsal dinner here in August 2018. Everything from the service to the food was AMAZING. Stephanie coordinated everything and she was spectacular. Trivs is very lucky to have her. The Sacchetti pasta dish was one of the best meals I have ever had! I have also been here on different occasions and had the Lobster Ravioli and Seafood risotto - both very very good. Cant want to make another trip back here!
We had an awful experience today, it took about 40 minutes for appetizers(12:55-13:35) then another half an hour to get food(14:00). Waitress apologized several times. thank you for your apology but its not the point by the time the food came out we didnt even want to eat. the food was mediocre. A glass of cabernet wine was $15 my short beer was $7, at these prices I would like to get my food a little sooner. What was going to be a business lunch turned into a two hour ordeal,, would not be going there anytime soon, my three stars are actually closer to two stars. UNSATISFIED.
Trivs has a nice selection of Bourbon, which I like. They also serve an excellent filet mignon that is about 2 thick (maybe thicker), and amazingly tender & delicious. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts, which were on the plate with bacon, making them twice as nice. Great service and even live blues music on a Wednesday night. Great restaurant!
My wife and I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary and we talked about doing the usual fast food dining Olive Garden e.g. My wife ordered the pork chop and the look that she had on her face after the first bite was worth it. Staff was hospitable and never had to wait long and food didnt come out extra quick either. We actually got to enjoy the meal but it was a true experience. Well worth it. Thank you to Trivs for making our anniversary memorable.
Been to trivs once before and had a great experience. Decided to stop before dinner for a couple of drinks with my girlfriend and we were amazed with the wonderful lounge service and talented musicians (Midwest Music Project) ! Definitely a place we would stop at again, esp if this band is playing!!
My boyfriend and I go here multiple times a week. If that doesnt say enough, everything Ive ever had here was delicious. The servers and bartenders are awesome, a few times the chef has come out himself to answer our questions, (we have a lot lol). Watching the bartenders muddle strawberries and basil for their lemonade will make your mouth water. I highly recommend going here for any occasion. Id recommend making reservations for important occasions because EVERYONE wants to be here.
A little pricey but the food and service is SO worth it! Ordered the bocce ball appetizer and wish I had gotten two. Got the seafood risotto for my meal and the lobster cream sauce was absolutely the best part, but the whole meal was delicious. We got cannolis and creme brûlée for dessert and they also did not disappoint! Exceptional service. Will be back!!
Dim lights, great selection of spirits, wines, and beers, outstandingly executed menu — everything about the place makes you want to come back. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, which is excellent service and unforgettable experience. I haven’t enjoyed food like I did at Trivs for a long time. Would highly recommend.
The smoking in the outdoor area was overwhelming. When we talked with the owner, he said his regulars were smokers and so he allows smoking in the outdoor patio. So if you want to be outdoors, but you are affected by smoke while you eat, suggest you find another place. The service was slow. The food was OK. Prices are a bit high. Indoors is dark. But it is a trendy local place and has a regular clientele.
Trivs is a great go-to for a fine meal with excellent service and drinks in Strongsville. The wait staff is the most courteous in Northeast Ohio and the food and desserts are outstanding.Had the blackened sea bass which they had as a special last time I was in. Perfectly prepared, with rice, corn and some kind of pesto garnish. Hot and delicious!Others had the ribeye steak and the Waleye. Everyone was very pleased. For dessert, we tried cheesecake, creme brulee, chocolate cake and canollis. All the desserts look like they came right out of a picture book. Very good! The owner is typically around chatting with his customers and ensuring everyone is getting what they expect. Nice little bar if youre not hungry.
Eat at Trivs in Strongsville. Great apps, even better entrees and homemade desserts. Fantastic dining room, and bar, 365 patio thats covered and heated, private parties are also available for booking. Entertainment every Wednesday through Saturday. Recommended dishes:: Apps: brussel sprouts w/ chorizo, duck spring rolls, crab cake. Entrees: ribeye steak w/ brussel sprouts and potato gratin, carmelized salmon w/ rice pilaf and sauteed zucchini and squash. The entree specials are also always a good choice, usually have a fish dish and a meat dish on spec with varied sides that accompany the star player and its sauce. Desserts: All of them. Theyre all good. Eat at Trivs!
My girlfriend and I had the best experience at Trivs in Strongsville. The service hands down, best experience Ive had in Cleveland. The quality of meals, Damn delicious!!! I had the Veal Parmesan with spaghetti and tomato sauce. Portion size, Yuge, I had for left overs x 2 meals. The Cream Vinaigrette was the most balanced and flavorful dressing Ive ever tasted. The callimari was obviously fresh and lightly hand breaded. The price matched the presentation, portion size and service provided to a T. For two adult meals, one appetizer, 2 Chocolate Martines and 2 Glenfiddichs total price $104.00 Overall valueand experience...twice the value. Trivs a must place to go!
Tonight my husband took me to Trivs for Mothers Day, as usual the meal and service was exceptional. Best Calamari anywhere so far with the sweet and spicy glaze. The Lobster Bisque that my husband had gotten was a little heavy handed in the salt department, but he still enjoyed it. I had the Strip steak cooked medium rare ( perfectly cooked ), sauteed asparagus ( good but again a little heavy handed with the salt ) and the mashed potatoes. My husband had the Filet with the lobster cream sauce, that he enjoyed immensely with the sauteed spinach ( heavy salt but he said it was cooked just the way he liked it ) and mashed potatoes. He was a little disappointed that they were out of Creme Brulee, but the Tiramisu more than made up for it. Always good food, and friendly service staff.
Plan on going to trivs on the weekend? Get. A. Reservation! This place is packed and for good reason. Small spot but a wonderful dark romantic dinner youll experience. Competition is tough in Strongsville but trivs holds its own. The bocce ball dinner is incredible, pasta was a little overdone and the pasta sauce was generic but wow that meatball is stuff of legend. Also the chicken penne is decadent and packed with flavor. Parking is a little odd and trivs sits oddly at the back corner of a plaza but its a place youll be dying to visit again soon.

2022-04-05Honestly, I would never go to this place because I thought it was just a bar. This place is a hidden gem that needs more exposure.I had my second visit this past weekend, and they did not disappoint. The vibes are so chilled and intentional. The servers are some of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The food is delicious. They probably make the best old fashions in Cleveland.

2022-06-30We’ve been coming here for several years, however, recent experiences have proven a disappointment.Last visit: the salad lacked freshness, the Bocce Ball has more filler (likely bread crumbs etc.) than actual meat (not sure if they use beef or pork) and seemed to lack flavor, lastly, the Chicken Rose was terrible, no hint of basil and the red sauce was like tomato sauce, if I didn’t know better, it was like Chef Boyardee out of a can, pasta overcooked and completely bland of flavor.Unfortunately, it will be a long time before we visit again.

2021-08-06The best food I have had in Ohio. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. The French onion soup was the best I have had anywhere in the USA. The broth was full of flavor and they did a blend of cheeses. We both had wedge salads and I highly recommend their salad with any of their homemade dressings. For our meal we had Veal Parmesan with linguine and the Bocce Ball - a 10oz meatball served over linguine. Amazing food and well worth the price. The portions are very large.

2022-02-21Food is GREAT the alcohol in every drink they make is ALWAYS THE SAME. Front girls are always dressed so well and super professional. Bartenders are knowledgeable and on point. Always clean silverware and glass ware. Perfect intimate setting. I really cannot complain about this business. The owner (RIP) definitely did this business structure wonderfully.

2021-12-24Food is always awesome here. Went on a packed Friday night for our anniversary and were not disappointed. No wonder this place is always crowded. Get a reservation!

2022-03-20The atmosphere was really awesome. Live music, intimate setting. The service was AMAZING. The place was packed and our waitress was still very attentive. The drinks were outstanding, I would come back for the pineapple margarita alone. But on the downside, food was just okay. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was pretty good although they were soggy and for some reason I was imagining they would be crispy. Salad was decent. I got there Trivs pasta which was good but a little too oily and way too expensive for what it was. The pasta itself was $21 and then I was charged an ADDITIONAL $17 for 2 small pieces of overcooked scampi which I could barely even chew. If I wer was told ahead of time that the shrimp would be that expensive I wouldnt have added it. My boyfriend did enjoy his meal though. He got the coffee crusted steak. Overall I would return and try something else but this place would not be my first choice for a special event.

2022-05-24Maybe a little more expensive than a chain restaurant, but the food is freaking delicious and worth every penny! Im the kind of person who orders the same thing at a restaurant. 2022-04-01This is a wonderful place that is perfect for either impressing that somebody, meeting long time friends on that annual get together, or celebrating special occasions. Pricey but fair. Not black tie but you will want to wear your best dinnerware.
