My wife works at Trinity as a theology teacher. And I absolutely love the school, the environment, and the commitment to faith, family, and academics that is fostered there. Very, very impressed and have enjoyed attending numerous events that have been open to the public offered by the school.

I attended from 2001-2005. Graduated from there. You know theres a problem when your school starts with 650 students and you graduate out of a school with just over 400 students. My graduating class had 120 students, down from 128 or so who transfered to other schools. My time there was spent largely bullied and picked on, even when I found a home within the band program. No one really cared about you, as long as they got your money. The band director was the most influential teacher there on my life, and he was recently fired in an effort to cut the budget. They had tried to fire him every year I was Trinity, because he refused to drink the THS Kool Aid and allow them to continue to gut his program. The school began doing this internship program a few years after I graduated. I would have never gone there had I been forced into an unpaid internship program like that. There are a lot of administrators who have been employed by the school for a long time, and their ideas on how to extort money from unsuspecting families have become old hat. The school is barely surviving and functioning as an accredited high school. The biggest complaint of most students is a lack of activities. Activities cost money, and the school doesnt want to support them. Of course, athletics has no problem having a dozen coaches for a 10 student team! This school is a shell of what it once was. I attended during its sunset years. To most alumni, the school is already dead and I am shocked they are still open. 1/5 rating. Take your hard earned money and get a better education literally anywhere else: NDCL, Padua, Holy Name, Benedictine, St. Edward, St. Ignatius, etc.

In assurance to a High School browsing parent or Eighth Grade Student; please, do not invest any time or money into this school. This school was a complete waste of two years of my High School career. With that being said, my experience will hopefully change the minds of anyone taking a glance at this school. To begin, Trinity High School is an expert at reeling in any unsuspecting student or parent. To elaborate, Trinitys Eighth Grade Retreats are absolutely amazing and moving. they truly make you take a step back on life and leave you in awe. I had an amazing time on my two Eighth Grade retreats. Nevertheless, do not be fooled by the underlining, business related factor that is your great time. This i figured out after around a month of attending Trinity, the Trinity team strive to let you have a good time so you can give their school some attention. Its a sick thing for an even sicker school. From an outsider point of view, youd think the school is great! Its internship program must be a kick in the right direction for getting me to that next step in life, the assistant principle seemed so kind and respectable on the retreat, the school is small so i can get to know everyone, this seems like a great place to invest four years of my life into, money and intelligence wise!Unfortunately, this is not the case. I took my chance and was expecting much more. To start, the internship program is not what it is advertised to be. The internship program is a time wasting, piece of trash that gives you absolutely no outlook as to what it is like in the real world. I worked in Trinitys cafeteria, my co workers and Supervisor were amazing, but i found myself not learning a damn thing. I cleaned the kitchen 90% of the time and the other 10% was standing around doing jack. In general, the internship program is a large waste of time and is forced upon you unless you make a big deal about not wanting to get involved, and if youre not involved, you have a whole day of sitting in the library and doing HomeworkSecondly, the schools lack of extra curricular activities and Catholic in a Catholic School. The extra curriculars range from Choir, Drama, Art, IT program, Graphic Design, and Medical. Im refusing mentioning the band because the band was just borderline dragged through the dirt and stomped on top of. My freshman year, their were over 40 band members in the band, all held together by the instructor; Mr. Tenny. Unfortunate that he was fired because now Trinitys bad has 7 kids in it, which will be almost none next year because they are all leaving. Trinitys higher directory gave no attention to the band, the band room seemed as though it was sealed off from the rest of the school and left in the very back, where no one would care to give any attention to due to the fact that their is mold on the ceiling and walls, stains on the carpet and is just a mess. Trinity likes to flaunt how faithful they are right in your face as soon as you enter, because thats 50% of their sales pitch. in retrospect they do have annual retreats for each grade, but keep in mind that retreats only last one day, the whole other time i felt no faith flowing through the school at all. I felt as though i was unwanted, but not by the students! by the assistant principle; Mr. Svoboda. He is the worst man i have ever met in my life, i do not recommend trying to talking to this man unless you play sports. then hell love you.All in all, Google has a word limit so i cant continue. Do not attend this school, its a money sucker and waste of time, you get no help if needed, the teachers and staff rarely offer help to a student struggling. 1/5 i regret ever investing time and money into Trinity High School.

My son and I visited 5 Catholic high schools last year during his 8th grade school year in search of where he would go to high school. We chose Trinity even though it was further from home and not one of the feeder schools for his middle school in Lyndhurst. I was impressed with the academic atmosphere of the school, the teachers, the classrooms, the internship program ... as well as the several students we met. Once we narrowed the school selection down we made a point of attending school football and basketball games for a few of the schools, and that is what really swayed us. IMHO, getting to see the student body and parents in the stands and the school traditions on the field are a great way to gain insight in to a school. My son is excited for the first day of school on August 15th!

The Internship Program is stellar. Lots of support and opportunity to learn what you like and are good at; you dont waste money later in college trying to figure out a career choice.
