Everyone in there was super friendly and helpful. I got my new board here, which they set up for me. Theres a pretty good selection of decks, trucks, wheels, etc. and theyll help you if youre unsure about something. The store also has clothing and shoes. Also theres an indoor skatepark (which I havent tried yet) that looks fun.
You seem to have a lot of selection, but I was looking for old school shape decks and couldnt figure out a search method to see them as a group. Maybe IM too old school and you just may not have what Im looking for... Thanks though. Mark

I havent been here much since the owners changed, but took the family out the other day & had a great experience. The new owners really care about the park & although the employees could be more attentive (they are teenage boys), the store is in order & the park was looking great! We got some new skate gear & even got to skate for a bit. Cant wait to take the kids to skate in the fall! If your into skateboarding, TriStar is the place to go. No doubt about it. 10/10 would recommend.

This place was surreal. Absolutely love the environment, the employee who helped me was really really nice and wholesome and made me really believe I was a skater boy despite not knowing how to skateboard at all. Great selection of boards and accessories and an expansive indoor skate park. This little gem was tucked away and hidden from view but it is truly worth checking out even if you are only beginning to skateboard

Went here with my boyfriend and had literally the best shopping experience ever! Corey the dude who helped us was super knowledgable, friendly and all around awesome. Amazing selection of boards, trucks, wheels and apparel. We got everything for a brand new board and had set aside a few hours to put it all together but Corey expertly and efficiently set it up for us! Seriously the most enjoyable experience in any store that weve both had in a long, long time. Cant wait to come back to get some more awesome stuff!!!
I hadnt skated in 20 years, but my son was asking for a board for his 6th birthday. I purchased two skateboards from tri-star, one for me and one for him. All of the staff is polite and helpful. They have a really nice indoor park too. They offer lessons for kids that are a little expensive, but I dont mind paying for them since it supports the shop and they have been so welcoming.So far, every dollar that I have spent here has been worth it.I learned today that the skate park will be closed (Dec 7th) for awhile due to covid, but that the shop will remain open. The owner suggested checking Instagram to see when it reopens.
Bought my son a new board yesterday and could not be more impressed with the service. Ben really spent a lot of time helping us decide on board shape and size. He also recommended trucks, wheels, and bearings that were reasonably priced, and did not try to up-sell or gouge us.Ben was very informative and encouraging. Not at all like the intimidating experiences I remember when buying my first board 35 yrs ago.I recommend tri-star without hesitation. The service is well worth the money!
Best shop hands down! This shop has a HUGE selection of decks, both shaped and pop, longboards, pads, trucks, wheels, tools, clothing and shoes. The park is a lot of fun (probably the best ramp Ive ever skated) and the staff is phenomenal! They are enthusiastic and helpful. They are passionate about skating and you can tell they love what they do. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by!
Love this place. Its my local shop and the employees are super friendly. theyll help you pick out a board, give suggestions on things and honestly all of the dudes there are cool. The shops selection is pretty tight too!
Took my daughter and her friend here to buy a board and find out about the skate park. They did a great job helping her select a board and filling us in on lessons and the park. Learning to skate can be intimidating but they were so cool. Glad they are in the neighboorhood

Great place for gear and to skate! My 10 year-old son was visiting from out of town and loved it. Great ramps and set up for kids and more experienced skaters alike. This was the first skate park weve been to that has low some low rails for him to grind. The staff was awesome on both of our visits. Any parent wanting to encourage their son or daughter to skateboard should take them here--very kid friendly and they offer lessons on the weekend. I wish they had a place like this in our home town. I took my son for his first skateboarding lesson and Ben was awesome! Sterling was extremely informative in helping pick out a board. I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be bringing my son as well as his friends back!

Not for kids. Lots of advanced adult skaters there who were mad that kids were in their way. Plus one guy was drinking a beer. Was hoping it would be a more fun environment but its got that underground style

While this is my 2nd time dealing with Tri-Star it is the last time. I tried to work with the owner who says I can eat the shipping on a deck they ruined with these cheap pricing labels that once on the deck (not wrapping) is impossible to remove. It ruined my $65 Madness deck. No discounts on a replacement and the first order had a warped deck at $80!!! Otherwise good selection but with so many choices I will move on.
Haven’t been there in person, just an online shopper. They had a reissue deck I really wanted so I ordered it from them. Customer service was great, the board came pretty fast and they threw in a bunch of cool stickers!!! Would definitely stop by if I ever find myself in the area!
THE skateboard shop between both coasts!! One of Cleveland’s best Mom&Pop shops. I wish a place like this existed when I was a kid; no shady vibes or attitudes, just a staff wanting to help grandmas & moms, to the hardcore gnarly old school guys, even collector nerds. Knowledgeable, approachable staff looking to share the love of skateboarding with whomever. An indoor park & lessons too!! Thanks for being awesome!
This place is awesome. Tucked into an unassuming corner on Brookpark road is a most unexpected treasure of the Cleveland and NEO skateboard scene. Awesome selection, new school and old, clothes, shoes, hats, pins, pint glasses... And an awesome indoor park. The new owners are super cool. Stop by every time I’m in the area to see what’s new and just say high. Such a different experience than any other skate shop in the area. Refreshing to say the least. Family friendly and welcoming. Did I mention that they have EVERTHING!
Great staff - great park (that spine is the best Ive ridden in over 20 years) - great selection to suit literally everyone - new and old school street and ramp riders, even longboarders. Gear and clothes. Good enough that we drive down from Buffalo NY a few times each year.
Ordered Thunder titanium lights from them during this pandemic and got them quickly! Also misspelled my address and they called me the same day to get the correct spelling. (Sorry that I forgot who I ordered them from when you called lol!) Happy to support a skateboarder owned business since my local shop did not have them.
ROLLERBLADERS NOT ALLOWED (but quad skaters are?) We called ahead of time to see if rollerbladers were allowed to skate, they said yes. When we arrived the woman who works there said that rollerbladers were not allowed but roller skaters are. This is was after they had told us to fill out a waiver and one of us actually paid our way in. We had 6 people to give them business. Give business to a skatepark that isn’t discriminatory and go to Chenga.
Go to Tri-Star Skateboard. I dont care who you are. Brand new to skateboarding (as I am), or a veteran. Theyre helpful, understanding, and funny.Personal experience: My girlfriend and I went to Tri-Star around 6pm on 6/20/20 because theyre the closest Skate shop to where we live. Neither of us have *any* real experience skating, or buying. Despite this, the associates at Tri-Star were amazingly understanding and extremely helpful, without smothering us, nor selling us stuff we didnt need.They were quick, easy to work with, and most importantly 100% transparent. They dont tell you things just because you want to hear it. They genuinely want you to walk out happy with what youve bought.Too many times have I gone to a hobby/specialist store only to be met with blank stares, or confusion. This is NOT the case at Tri-Star, and I cant stress that enough. If skating interests you, check them out.

This shop and skatepark is truly an amazing spot, every time I visit I’m greeted with a smile. The shop is always stocked with everything I could ever need. The skate park is challenging but not so difficult that I can’t ride it!! Love it, love the employees, and owner!! Highly recommend!!
The shop has a wide selection of stuff ranging from oldschool to new.hardware, pads, clothes, shoes, stickers and other random accessories. Candy. Aw yeah.This is all well and good, but where the place really shines is the staff. You can buy stuff online. You cant buy a good staff/environment.Everyones knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. When youre doing a new setup, they are totally on top of helping you get it setup if you need them to. Its great that they also help bail people out if they need a new nut/bolt or replacement bushing in a pinch.Theyre also very welcoming to everyone and dont look down on people like me who suck.They do a lot to encourage new skaters, including lessons and special events.Last year, I got hurt pretty bad (my fault), and they were completely on top of helping with that, and asking how I was doing every time I popped in afterwards.The park is great too for Cleveland, where rain/snow happen about 90% of the time. Everythings well maintained and fun to learn on.Go give this place your money. You get free park sessions for buying stuff.Ignore that 1 star Perkins Family review. All skateboards get pressure tracks where the trucks mount. Welcome to skating around on a plank of wood with metal bolted to it.

I have what some might call a bit of an obsessive collection of skateboards both old and new, and I will confess that I am ALWAYS looking for the best deal I can find. And, not coincidentally, the vast majority of the skateboard boxes in my storage room say Tri-Star on them. That says everything right there. These guys rock! Theyre ALWAYS willing to put together a package and give you a deal that beats the other guys. Quality, Selection, Price.... theres a few reasons I always end up being back here. And if youre a collector, and youre smart, then go in and get to know Sam, .... he keeps the good stuff in the back.... but if you twist his arm just a little... lets just say if he doesnt have it he will find it. But he probably has it! Been here wayyyy too much to admit to the wife, and will be back!

Their prices r just to high, plus they discriminate, especially with Afro Americans. The plce at Towercity is ridiculous. First they had seating then they took it away. Theyre not accommodating to the disabled or handicap nd elderly!

Let me just say that this place is awesome! Any kind of skateboard or apparel for skating you can imagine. They actually have half ramps in the same building to practice on. Everyone working there knew exactly what they were talking about and we would definitely be back soon!!!
Have been to Tristar several times and is always an amazing experience with a knowlagable staff.. the skatepark is set up nice and one of the funnest mini ramps I’ve skated ... I usually take the 3 hour drive about 3 times a year to skate and talk skateboarding . The new addition of the website is a huge bonus

Theae people get what skateboarding is all about. Its great to see a place built by skaters for skaters. From the pro shop to the skateboard museum, they have everything you could ever need. They even have lessons for the kids, as well group skates for us old guys.
Really cool park just never understood why they dont allow aggressive inline we do zero harm to the ramps and the very few of us that are still left are all older and respectful and know how to take turns and respect skateboarders otherwise good people cool place

Absolutely love my longboard but one of the bearings was bad and they could not replace it for free.

2022-04-10So glad we found this place! Our 6 year old loves it - and Dante (who’s there every weekend for the Intro and beginner lessons) is patient, helpful, and very cool (particularly in the eye of our 6 year old). A great and welcoming place for beginners and skaters of all levels.

2022-03-30So Ive been on and off of skateboards since 2006. Ive spent a lot of time at parks and shops in that time. And Tri-Star is the most welcoming and inclusive shop/park Ive ever been to. The shop is clean, family friendly, and well stocked. The park is clean, the music is good, and there is a good range of obstacles for skaters of all skill levels.On Saturday and Sunday they teach lessons, which is something Ive not encountered at a park before. Dante, the instructor, is phenomenal. Dude really cares about what hes doing. I was the oldest person in the class, the youngest might have been 8 that day, and he was able to cruise back and forth providing encouragement, tips, and even a hand to hold to get little dudes/dudettes down ramps. 2022-01-26This skateboard shop and park are the best. Staff is awesome and very helpful. The people that go there are great with beginner skateboards. They are always trying to help them learn and give them encouragement. I love this skatepark. Would recommend to all.

2021-11-07This is one of the best skate shop/park in the mid west 💯 it has a very smooth floor almost like marble. The skate shop had ALOT of options from clothing shoes boards pretty much everything a skateboarder needs.

2022-01-27Im from out of town and tri-star was super accommodating, Dante was very friendly and helped me find exactly what I wanted 👌 excellent indoor park with a cool half pipe with a spine in the middle. I also liked that the half pipe had stairs to the top at either end.

2021-07-19We have been here 3 times now. All I can say is the place is incredible and amazing staff. The staff are super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The skate park is safe and well designed. My boys 8 and 10 were happy and excited to comeback every time. I couldnt recommend a better place to have my kids skate. We are looking forward to many more fun visits.
