The flavors are great and the staff was very kind! They were open memorial day which was awesome since a lot of places were closed for the holiday. Unfortunately the meat we got in our dishes were cooked too long and was very tough. I dont know if this is an every day thing or maybe just a new cook! I would still be willing to come back and try again. They have a lot of stuff on their menu that Im interested in!
Outstanding! This is a great place. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable and the prices are reasonable. They have an amazing menu that includes Korean, Chinese and Thai dishes. There is something for everyone. Their Thai iced coffee is sweet and delicious. The wait staff is helpful and friendly. If you love Asian food, you will love Tree Country Bistro.
I come here for lunch periodically and it’s good fresh Chinese food! I loved the Shrimp Jade noodle and it’s delicious. They have a lot of stuff to choose from. Prices aren’t to bad. Depends on what you want. Most ppl like to dine in but I always get mine to go! Gets crowded more in the evenings. There’s like 4 other Asian restaurants on the same street and this one is second best on my the list.
Food is usually very good. Good sushi chef. Had a couple instances where my noodles had very little sauce and my Thai iced tea with boba had unmistakably old, dry tapioca pearls. Service, as others have said, is hit or miss. The younger servers are friendly and attentive. The older ladies, not so much.
So I personally enjoy the sushi options here more than Pacific East. However, service and quality seems to be hit or miss here. The first time we went, my husband and I enjoyed it. The second time, though they were only somewhat busy, the server didnt provide straws, utensils or napkins. When we were finally served, the dishes were wrong and they had forgotten the sauce on top of the sushi. We asked for it to be put on, and when it was brought back, someone had just dumped sauce on.
My all-time favorite restaurant. I vote to go here for every special occasion or family dinner. Their food is awesome, their staff is awesome, their drinks, appetizers, curry, soup, sushi... all of it! 10/10 I love tree country!!! I love their spicy eggplant basil dish with tofu. My favorite thing in the world to eat :)
The food here is really good. The service, however, is hit or miss. I often order for pick up and have gotten my food in fifteen minutes, while other times I have waited over an hour. It really depends whose in the kitchen and running the front. Normally Id give a place the benefit of the doubt but the business of the dining room doesnt seem to correlate with the wait on the pick-up. I really enjoy this place and often go out of my way to eat there, but after consecutive longer waits than given I may have to find another place.
Good place if you are looking for a variety of Asian foods under one roof. Thai food options arent as good as High Thaid in my opinion, but I often go here if I want sushi and the wife wants something else. The sushi is good and the staff were friendly. Service was very quick.
The best Thai food I have ever had. They make it nice and spicy. Since I am a vegetarian I have never really tried their sushi delights or Korean specialities. Its worth every buck spent and one must surely try this place for the food though not much for the decor I would say.
Waiter was nice but the food they claim is “vegetarian” has fish sauce in it. This is not stated in the menu and they didn’t tell me this until I tasted fish and asked why. I am allergic to shellfish, but fortunately I didn’t have an allergic reaction from their fish sauce
This location is local for me, and is a hidden gem on Coventry Rd.! From the Japanese competition they have on sushi with Pacific East to the Chinese competition on fried rice with Human across the street, this mixed South-Asian restaurant has whatever you crave in that department. The staff is nice and remembers you, the establishment is clean, and most of all the food is delicious. If you are looking for a somewhat sweet and delicious take on fried rice, Tree Country is the place to go!They play popular on the television and have a sushi bar, as well as tables that look onto Coventry. Next to City Buddha.
I had a two nasty experiences with this place with an older woman who ran the front counter. However, my last experience made me never return. The older women rudely took my order. She was short and frank. When I paid. She slammed my credit car on the table, it was obvious she didn’t want to touch my hand. I sat down, waited for my food. A white male then came into to pick up his order, the older woman immediately turned friendly and handed his money to him in hand. I’ve never returned some. I am an African American female so it appeared to be a blatant discriminatory gesture. I read prior reviews for this place, mostly good and all white. Black people keep your dollar when it comes to this place. Unfortunately I had a similar experience with Pho n Rice down the street. If your in the area and have a taste for Asian cuisine, go to Pacific East for sushi. They provide great customer service to everyone.
Whether Ive gotten take out or eaten in, I have always gotten a great meal. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is casual and relaxed. They have a large menu spanning Chinese and Thai noodle and rice dishes as well as a full sushi menu. The portions are large and can easily last two meals.Their Pad Thai and variations are all great, but if you havent had them, Id suggest trying the Japchae (with glass noodles) and Yaki Soba (with wheat noodles). The Indonesian Fried Rice is just jaw dropping, including a mound of chicken fried rice topped with a crispy chicken cutlet and an egg with a sweet chili sauce on the side. All food comes with fresh vegetables and the dishes are appealing and prepared with care taken to both flavor as well as presentation.
Menu is all over the place. What are they serving, Thia, Korean, Chinese or Japanese!! I ordered sushi and the rice was extremely over cooked. I also ordered Tom Yum Soup and it was something other than what I ordered. The staff was friendly but the food is not well executed. Do one style and do it well!
One waiter, who was friendly but overwhelmed. with the entire restaurant to take care of, food took forever to come out and when it did was soggy and tepid. Tea was also tepid so asked for hotter , came back scalding, so this Asian restaurant has no idea how to make Green tea. Phone signal is blocked, no wifi. Waiter said the have it but boss doesnt want customers using it. Came for relaxing at a cafe and had the worst experience imaginable. Will never go back.
Very good food, but I was still a bit hungry after I left and felt like for what I paid I shouldnt have been hungry. The environment is relaxing, your very typical experience. Might have a hard time finding parking, but once youre situated you have a great area to explore before/after your meal.
Our waiter was a very nice guy, thats why he gets his own star. My boyfriend and I got maki rolls, and the fish tasted like it was just sitting at room temperature, starting to go bad. Maki rolls with raw fish are usually served cold to protect freshness and flavor. I woke up this morning feeling sick as ever. Never going there again.
Tree Country is near my apartment, but I used to journey there as it was the closest place that served my two favorite Asian meals: Dolsot Bibimbap (they call it Okdol Bibimbap, but any way you name it- it’s a hot stone bowl, sizzling full of rice, meat, veg, kimchi, and spicy sauce) and Indonesian Fried rice. I only order those two things here, and maybe some appetizers. Sometimes it’s awesome, and sometimes not so much. One time, 5 years ago, I saw a rat! I’ve had weirdly intense servers here that invited me to their birthday party, and basically it was all ok, because I took it in the spirit of Coventry.Get the indo fried rice, or the okdol bibimbap- anything else is on you!
Im editing my previous 3/3 review with this review. Ive been here many times, but havent been in a while after moving away from Cleveland Heights.I was with a group of people and we ordered one dish per person to split between us. We got a Mango Chicken dish, Pad Thai, two Hawaiian rolls, Green Tofu Curry, and Bulgogi.Fast forward 15 minutes later when the food arrives. At first I was surprised at how quickly the food came, but I soon realized why. The bulgogi was at most half a pound of beef. The Green Curry was ridiculously small. I would have needed at least two of either of those dishes for a meal. Its $13! What a joke. The special rolls also have gotten smaller as well. After having a bit of each dish, here are my impressions.-Bulgogi: Not only a tiny portion, but tasted syrupy and bad. Not traditional at all and tasted too sweet.-Green Curry: This was actually really good. But the portion size was so unbelievably small. For $13, that is a joke. Ive honestly gotten curry lunch specials for $5 with more food.-Hawaiin Roll: This was really good as well, but smaller than before.-Mango Chicken: Terrible. The vegetables and the chicken tasted like nothing, like they were just steamed despite there being a brown liquid in the dish. Way too watered down. Unless you had mango in the bite, it was just bad. And even then it wasnt that great.-Pad That: Really bad. It was dry and was very sweet with nothing to counteract that.So the bill comes out to $92.XX (what a ripoff, we were still hungry) and my friend who was treating us gives the server $103. She goes up to get her change and the server looks at her and said Usually you tip 15% or more. For one, she didnt even tip yet, he just assumed that the extra was the tip. Two, even if that was the tip, thats perfectly fine. $10 for bringing out a few plates and giving us water? And three, you dont tell someone how much to tip! It was unbelievably rude. Unfortunately, I didnt quite understand what was happening until after we left because the server when I asked what he just said he said dont worry about it, but I can say one thing for sure. Im never going back there to my previously favorite restaurant on Coventry. Maybe if the food was just meh I would have given them another chance sometime.
I always try to give a resturant a a fair chance before I post a review this place actually used to be good this is the second time I went here and received horrible food and service.I m so digusted I had to post , because a complaint is nothing , all of a sudden they speak no english. First I I went here for lunch and came out with a dinner entree. I asked the waitress numerous for a lunch menu ... apparently there is no lunch at 12:30pm , if you dont speak there native language you might have a problem , my food was hard and burned . my chicken was very dry ,when i asked what happened with that ,she acted like she didnt understand , my food was grosss,, I couldnt get any additional items like extra sauce or plum wine , it was like she was flaking me off ,Also its never busy or else I would understand. Long story short , I didnt eat ,and 43$ later at lunch time , I was still hungry. This will be the last time they give me horrible service , at this resturant. .. I tried because of my two great experiences about 4 years ago.
Had carry out yesterday from Tree Country Bistro on coventry. The food is so much more tasty than Pacific East. Weve eaten there many times before but in the past weve enjoyed the Malaysian side of Pacific Easts menu. Tree Country Bistro does not have Malaysian but they do have Korean and Thai dishes including a very tasty Tom Yong soup.I need to try Tree Countrys Sushi again. If its comparable Im totally ditching Pacific East.
Tree Country Bistro has great food, however, they are understaffed. Thus wait times may be a little longer than usual. I did notice that management is not very helpful to their employees😞. Nonetheless, I recomend that you check this place out.😋😉😁👍😋.Ask for Pinky he is awesome...btw.😉
The food is incredible but I only ever order take out and every other time my order is wrong. I put the instructions in all caps praying it will draw their attention and still my order comes wrong. The food is so good so when you get it messed up is incredibly disappointing.
The food is ok , last time I went ordered something I was waiting and them when asked for food server said she didnt hear me , so I didnt get it would have took to long then when I got home 2 days later they had charged my debit card twice but said they didnt but my statement says otherwise so wont be going back there ever !!!!

2022-05-23When it comes to noodles...DO NOT TRUST Tree Country Bistro.... earlier i ordered drunken noodles...just boiled noodles with boiled vegetables... n today i ordered japchae...again just boiled n bland... i am a big fan of Thai food...they add diff kinds of soya sauce, fish sauce, fish oil....and more ingredients...which makes it tastes so good...n this store makes the worst noodles. Will never order again!!

2018-04-21My brother and I went to this place last night and I was totally happy with everything about this restaurant. Being an Asian fusion restaurant, they have a variety of Thai, Japanese and Korean dishes on their menu. They also have vegetarian options available so, this place is vegetarian friendly. I ordered Tofu Triangles and Basil Fried Rice without eggs. I enjoyed both the dishes and really liked the Basil Fried Rice. My brother ordered for Vegetable Soup, Spicy Salmon Maki and a House Fried Rice. He said they were great too. Their service was good and fast. I also liked the ambience of the place. Their dishes are reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to try some good Asian food.

2020-11-16Like the fried chicken with sweet sour sauce on the fried rice! It deserves a five-star!But the eggplant does not have much flavor actually. I could only feel the taste of too much oil😕

2019-04-30I dont often enjoy Thai food, but this place surprised me. Excellent pad thai, and the country fried rice is quite tasty. I tried the bubble tea smoothie which was decent. Appetizers like crab rangoons and scallion pancakes are impressive. The prices are reasonable, especially on noodle dishes, and even cheaper during lunchtime. Portion sizes are massive, so expect to take leftovers home with you.

2020-01-30A new place for me. I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with their lunch.I chose a familiar dish, Cashew Chicken. The plate was served with a good serving of white rice. Plenty of vegetables and cashews included. The soup that comes with the lunch dish was very tasty.Ill be back to try some other dishes.

2021-12-04Terrible take out food. Everything tasted of oil and thats it. Oil just pooled at the bottom of the containers. Also, why have mangoes on the menu when they are not ripe? Waste of money.

2021-08-28The most flavorless Pad Thai Ive ever had, and I used to live in Kansas! Ive been craving pad Thai for weeks and its been a long week of moving cross country so paying 50$ (with delivery) to get this was very sad.

2021-06-28The food is delicious! We had the country pad Thai—some of the best we have ever had. Also tried the Alaska roll and summer rolls. Both were delicious. We ordered for pick up and the order was fresh and hot when we arrived. Also well packaged for travel. Prices were reasonable for the portion size and quality. We will definitely eat here again.

2022-06-02Pretty good. Pad se eew was quite bland. It should be more sweet and more salty. It means noodles in sweet/thick soy add more sweet soy!

2021-06-05We enjoy the curries. Massaman and avocado curries are our favorite. We also order sushi occasionally. It is always fresh and tasty. Basic rolls are well priced. They are very conscientious of allergies. The last time I ordered the lady asked if egg was okay with our vegetable pad Thai (clarifying just in case the customer is vegan).
